About 9 months ago, anti-biotics literally saved my lifefrom Sepsis. Good luck, but take it easy. It takes awhile to rebuild your physical strength.

As expected, and as what happened in 2020, late last night at UCLA a small army of (surely paid) “counterprotestors” armed with bats and other weapons, wearing masks, attacked the encampment of peaceful pro-Palestine/pro-divestment protestors using violent tactics.
The on-site security guards did nothing, police showed up momentarily and attempted to aid an injured individual, then were attacked by the “counterprotestors” and fled.

Once again, the actual paid instigators are following the script.

A timeline of the 2020 protests and the start of violence, burning and looting:
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/6/11/a-timeline-of-the-george-floyd-and-anti-police-brutality-protests
Of note, May 27 is the first time in which fires and looting are seen in Minneapolis.
Early on that day, a masked infiltrator wearing all black and carrying an umbrella begins to smash out the windows of an Autozone in the middle of one of the main protest areas.
https://southsidepride.com/2022/02/21/what-about-umbrella-man/
Demonstrators implore him to stop doing that and it would cause cops to crack down even further. He is suspected of having ties to LE or “counterprotestors.”

The video revealed that the infamous Umbrella Man used his sledgehammer to systematically break the windows of the AutoZone store. Prior to breaking the windows he spray-painted “Free Shit for Everyone Zone” on the front door. This gave rise to looting. Soon the AutoZone was on fire. Police believe that UM’s actions set off the first fire and a chain reaction (planned?), leading to additional arson and looting, including the fire that destroyed the 3rd Precinct building. The rest is history: deaths, hundreds of arrests, criminal charges and approximately 1,500 buildings damaged or destroyed, costing in excess of $500 million. Protests spread beyond Minneapolis, creating the largest protest in U.S. history, with 26 million people participating from coast to coast. The protests were felt around the world and were the second most destructive in the U.S. after the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
Also in the UM video we see a young, Black man in a pink shirt (later identified as Elijah Easley, aka EJ) approaching UM and, while we cannot hear the conversation, it appears that Easley is asking him who he is and gesturing, encouraging him to stop what he’s doing. UM yells at the man in the pink shirt but what he says is indecipherable. Later, in an interview with Loud News (9/7/20), Easley revealed that UM was challenging him to fight if he didn’t leave him alone. Also on the video it is observed that UM has a white substance on the right index finger of his glove, which would be a match for the white spray paint used to write on the AutoZone doors.

So at this point, anyone not expecting similar or the same tactics – where feasible – is deluding themselves. Luckily, most universities don’t have storefronts to vandalize or create the appearance of looting (followed, of course, by actual looting). We shall see…
The forces of evil are out en force with scumbags like Tom Cotton and other Zionist and RW politicians agitating for the national guard.

https://twitter.com/uncoovr/status/1785721833800569180
The phrase ACAB is completely understandable. They are following the script to ensure – and egg on – violence, always at first against peaceful demonstrators, then for state violence to be deployed forcefully in conjunction with the paid instigators (in this case Zionists and anti-Arab bigots) against the peaceful encampments.

https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/colombia-president-petro-says-will-break-diplomatic-relations-with-israel-2024-05-01/
Colombia to break diplomatic relations with Israel, President Petro says
Petro has already heavily criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and requested to join South Africa’s case accusing Israel of genocide at the International Court of Justice.
“Here in front of you, the government of change, of the president of the republic announces that tomorrow we will break diplomatic relations with the state of Israel … for having a government, for having a president who is genocidal,” Petro told cheering crowds in Bogota who marched to mark International Worker’s Day and back Petro’s social and economic reforms….
….Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz accused Petro of being “antisemitic and full of hate”. He said Petro’s move was a reward to the armed group Hamas, which on Oct. 7 led a deadly attack on Israeli military bases and communities.
Bolivia broke with relations with Israel at the end of October last year while several other countries in Latin America, including Colombia, Chile and Honduras, have recalled their ambassadors.

They have no problem with our funding multiple foreign wars.
They are willing to burn the place down for Israel.

To Don Firineach and other history students… another fine book on the history of pillage by Perfidious Albion is “The Blood Never Dried” by John Newsinger. It’s amazing how many Lords and Ladies got their start with flithy lucre from the Opium Wars. Another highly recommended book is “Stolen Continents” by Ronald Wright. This one includes chapters on the atrocities of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec, Maya and Inca as well as some shocking revelations of the treacherous betrayal over and over again of indigenous peoples in North America, which the “Americans” joyfully continued once they ran the Brits out. It’s not all blackness in “America” as there have been a few, mostly buried by the propaganda of the victors, who stood fast for fairness. None of those few heroes was British. Funny….and funny how it is never mentioned that the ethical thinking of the League of the Iroquois influenced such worthies as Benjamin Franklin, Marx, Engels … sigh…. but apparently the Maya in Guatemala are having some success lately so there is still hope.. Go to the good, as some irish fella said.

We read much about the unfathomable failure on the part of the Israelis –
leaving themselves wide open for the Hamas jail break on October 7th.
Where were their partners, the CIA and MI6?
We hear repeatedly that Egyptian intelligence had warned Israel,
but we hear almost nothing about the role of the CIA and MI6.
The silence is almost deafening.
The silence is deafening, it almost echoes.
The silence is almost deafening and what should it tell you?
What should it tell you?

Turning protests into riots lets media blame both sides and gives authorities an excuse to shut them down:

Pro-Palestinian activists who have pitched their tents on the McGill University campus scored a legal victory on Wednesday when a Quebec judge rejected a request for an injunction to stop their protest. Justice Chantal Masse ruled that the students who wanted protesters to relocate failed to demonstrate that their access to the school was being blocked or that they would be unable to write their final exams.

On the West Coast, pro-Palestinian protesters have set up camp at a second university in British Columbia, with tents going up on a field at the University of Victoria.

‘ “The Blood Never Dried” by John Newsinger. It’s amazing how many Lords and Ladies got their start with flithy lucre from the Opium Wars.’ etc. and one could add in the Slave Trade where massive fortunes were made and the Estates are still in same family ownerships mostly ….
Worth noting that it continues – direct from the British to the American and on to the Israelis ….. e.g. the British in Palestine used torture, human shields, and demolished buildings belonging to Arab militants etc mayhem and butchery – The Brits called it ‘putting manners on the natives’ – the Zionists call it ‘mowing the grass’ – and the Americans call it ‘the rules-based order’ (sic) … same play-book – assumed superiority and exceptionalism to justify all and everything …
I won’t repeat what ‘the other Irish fella’ said about all this – the children might be reading and ‘b’ doesn’t allow violence in his bar!

The shutting of food pantry or other services is so unfair to non protestors, Then they speak of an anti Semitic cult forming like the racist BLM and see how that ended up because police wouldn’t beat them up properly. And the media struggles to figure out how to smear the actual UCLA students who are camped out peacefully when there is literal video of the before-during-after attempts to turn things violent by nasty Zionist thugs, who certainly are being paid and paid well.

And I note how small these are and that unlike other protest movements there is no widespread popular support for them …. there are no hundreds of thousands on mass street marches backing them up, and that is why I fear for them the most …. Peace all.

Re: brutal crackdown on peaceful dissent
It’s a reasonable prediction that the 86% of under 18-30 year olds who are anti-genocide will only harden their opinions after the last few days.
The under 30s are networked via independent media like you wouldn’t believe. Expect the anti-genocide movement to (chaotically) grow exponentially over the next few months.

In August 1985 I was a Masters student at Cape Town. I was upset by the declaration of a state of emergency so I’d joined an anti-conscription movement and felt very smug about it. But I wasn’t really committed until I wandered up through the campus rose garden one morning and suddenly realised that everybody around me was talking about how the riot police had attacked an on-campus march in that garden a few hours earlier for protesting against the emergency and the troops in the townships.
You don’t have to be beaten up or arrested yourself. You just have to see that the system is ready to beat you up and arrest you for standing up for your own beliefs. That opens your eyes.

Posted by: Minaa | May 1 2024 20:06 utc | 109
Isn’t it “funny” that Isrseöi deny that Palestinians are not a people, which supposedly gives them the license to kill them without committing genocide. Yet they are eager to identify this or that people including the Palestinisans as Amalek, which on the other hand does give them the license to commit genocide. What adds to this “funniness” is that the injunction to destroy Amalek was issued in around 1000 BCE, which is when 1 Samuel was probably written. Needless to say that injunction may not be in force today – not to mention that Israel itself could be Amalek given the extent to which the identitification is in flux. After all, it has been said by a rabbi that Germany could be Amalek.

I can understand a desire for Peace to come over Gaza for some respite there.
But everywhere else the tables in the temple need to be thrown around and turned upside down violently.
This is not a time for Peace.. but for Revolution and social upheaval and the cabals everywhere taken down.
But there is no organization around such a thing so it is not going to happen anywhere. All we have are some college campuses in the US doing a “camp in” protest. The public in the west are NOT behind these protests but are still behind Israel.
This is nothing of what is required to make genuine change and the psychopathic elites attention and fear. nor to bring down the actions of the Outlaw US empire and it’s satrapies and scum zionist regime in occupied Palestine territories.
What is happening to date with “protests” amounts to next to nothing. These will all be put down and violently so by the police no different than Jan 6th was easily stopped …and the thousands thrown into prison for years.
Who is bringing in a ONE state solution for the Palestinians and an end to the Zionist project?
No one is. There is no sustained substantial global outrage occurring anywhere. imho this is nothing like the anti-Vietnam, anti-racist civil rights movements, or anti-apartheid protest eras.

There were far larger more sustained street protests globally against GULF WAR I in 1991 than what is happening or might happen over Gaza and those murderous psychopaths in Israel and their GENOCIDAL ACTS today — I think a little realism can only help everyone. A university-based pro-Palestinian protest movement that has made headlines in the United States is being mirrored in Australia.
Encampments have sprung up at campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra, with participants calling on their teaching institutions to disclose and cut ties with weapons manufacturers they say are supplying arms to Israel.
In Victoria, some protests have become heated, with a counter-rally of pro-Israel supporters gathering near the University of Melbourne on Thursday.

Mercenaries fighting receives about 3,900 euros ($4,187) a weekly salary:
Israel uses foreign mercenaries in Gaza
The international community is not only silent about Israel’s genocide but also sends foreign mercenaries to fight alongside Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza.
The IDF summoned hundreds of reserve soldiers to reinforce its ranks in preparation for its ground attack on the Gaza Strip. To bolster their Israeli ranks the IDF promoted an influx of people holding Israeli passports and living in foreign countries.
However, the Spanish newspaper, El Mundo, reported that Tel Aviv contacted international security contractors to provide fighters to perform military tasks during its ongoing war in Gaza.
Pedro Diaz Flores Corrales, aged 27 years, is a former soldier in the Spanish army and had previously fought as a mercenary in both Ukraine and Iraq. In addition to this, he is known for belonging to a fascist political group, the so-called Neo-Nazi movement, according to the Middle East website ‘Monitor’.
The group is involved in illicit arms trafficking, as well as mercenary exploitation.
Corrales justified his decision to fight alongside the IDF, and said that each participant in the fighting receives about 3,900 euros ($4,187) a weekly salary, and perks associated with the tasks they perform.
El Mundo reported that it had seen pictures of Corrales surrounded by mercenaries of different nationalities, including French, Germans, and Albanians, and even American Marines or members of the Special Forces who fought in Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali, or Kosovo.
Last October, French media circulated news about a large number of French fighters joining the fight alongside the IDF.
A report by the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory revealed in the past the presence of hundreds of European mercenaries who volunteer for military service in the ranks of the IDF, as part of special forces, especially in the Gaza Strip.
Organizations directly linked to right-wing Jewish and Christian groups within Europe are organizing projects and campaigns to invite Europeans to join the IDF, as well as to join campaigns to support illegal settler operations against Palestinians in the West Bank.
Intending to use them in tunnels of Hamas, Israel offers Kurdish PKK terrorists $ 2,200 to join the frontlines in its genocidal war against Palestinians with thousands of terrorists and mercenaries already transported to Israel.

Remember Hong Kong in 2019?
WHO DEFENDED THE STUDENTS PROTEST ACTIONS?
Beijing’s ambassador to Britain Liu Xiaoming told a London press conference on Monday that China will not simply sit back and watch if months of protests in Hong Kong develop into an “uncontrollable” situation.
“If the situation becomes uncontrollable, the central government would certainly not sit on our hands and watch. We have enough resolution and power to end the unrest,” he said.
Mr Liu also warned against “external interference” in internal Chinese affairs, singling out Britain and the United States and accusing them of condoning violence by protesters.
“Some Western countries have publicly supported extreme violent offenders,” he said.
“The US House of Representatives adopted the so-called Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act to blatantly interfere in Hong Kong affairs, which are China’s internal affairs.
“The British government and the foreign affairs committee of the House of Commons published China-related reports making irresponsible remarks on Hong Kong.”
The European Commission on Monday called on law enforcement authorities in Hong Kong to keep their action “strictly proportionate”.
https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/hong-kong-police-seal-off-university-amid-fears-of-crackdown
Meanwhile, Beijing’s rhetoric has become increasingly tough on the situation, moving from calling the protesters “rioters” to saying their actions showed “signs of terrorism.” State media agency Xinhua warned in a recent commentary that “the end is coming for those attempting to disrupt Hong Kong and antagonize China.”
These Hong Kong-mainland hostilities aren’t new on campuses.
Even before the protests began, mainland and local students tended to stay separate, said Siu, the City University student union leader. Siu added that each year a handful of mainland students try to tear down posters critical of the Chinese government.

NOT ONLY CHINA …
2019 IN Santiago, Chile – The hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions, of protesters who took to the streets in countries across the Americas last year were met with violent crackdown, with governments often using measures in “flagrant disregard for their obligations under domestic and international law”, Amnesty International said on Thursday as it released its annual report for the region.
The 2019 review depicts a region where citizens were attacked for protesting and defending human and environmental rights across many countries.
The tsunami of protests that swept across Latin America and the Caribbean last year were often met by repressive and increasingly militarised tactics, Amnesty said.
The year was marked by states’ inability to channel people’s discontent and demands for their rights, the rights group said. Instead, they resorted to repression and excessive use of force, including intentionally lethal force, the report said.
In Chile, the army and police were found to deliberately injure protesters taking part in nationwide demonstrations against inequality.

An Egypt firm is making $2m a day from Palestinians fleeing Israel’s war on Gaza
A company owned by an influential Egyptian businessman and ally of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is making around $2m a day from Palestinians fleeing Israel’s war on Gaza, Middle East Eye can reveal.
Hala Consulting and Tourism Services, a firm owned by Sinai tribal leader and business tycoon Ibrahim al-Organi, has been charging Palestinians crossing from Gaza’s Rafah to Egypt at least $5,000 per adult and $2,500 for children under 16.

Although it’s probably true in some fashion – there’s considerable enthusiasm for Israel in Iraqi Kurdistan (cos detest the Arabs), but the source quoted by the Strategic Culture Foundation article can’t be right (tasnim news in Arabic) when it says there are 200k Kurdish Jews. I’d be surprised if there are as many as 200 Kurdish Jews today, after Israel whipped them up to leave in 1950-51. Apart of course from the Israeli spooks working from Erbil. Even if there were any Jews, they wouldn’t go and do for Israel. Mercs are men who either like killing, or are desperate for money, and can’t earn any other way.

This is not a time for Peace.. but for Revolution…
In fact, there is no peace.
The revolution is underway, and even televised, but being antithetical to the desire for peace, is difficult and awkward to implement. You need a generation or so, so it’s good to start young, like when you’re a student (and the State is weak, the overlords spooked).
Barking at the moon is rambunctious, but useless.

The revolution is underway and it is the “elites” that are busy gutting the institutions and ideas such as democracy. How to respond? Are progressives in need of becoming today’s reactionaries? The woke kind of progressivism is subservient to the elites mentioned above.

I no longer use the fake name I****L for the Illegal Apartheid Entity inThe Levant and Near East.
It is a slave name.
A imperial name like Rhodesia was.
———————
Facilitated and occupied by the European serfs who also are the disposable masses of the Ancient Masters and Families who own everything and created Money as the ultimate super weapon many centuries ago.
A weapon that is turning to dust in their hands by the Righteous Shields of the Multipolar World that is uniting against the Ancient Slavers and Murdering Robber barons and their minions (that’s us btw)
Now at the end of so many hundreds of years, of such avarice and enslavement of the non European humanity.
Their Cancel Culture must have tables turned against it.
I urge everyone to do the same for that illegal apartheid entity that blights humanity; by making it the LAST AngloEuropean Imperial colonial project.
Start by cancelling its Slave Name. Call it what it is – an imperialist colonial project occupied by illegal settlers that must return to where they or their families arrived from or whichever imperial entity will have them as citizens.
Haven’t said it for a week or so , to our Hasbarats , the ship is sinking as the Titanic did. Don’t waste your time rearranging deck chairs – LEAVE NOW , while you can in an organised manner. Or Leave with a few weeks notice carrying only what you can and what you hide in your stomachs.
Or you will perish where you stand as illegal murderous invaders as Humanity comes to stop your genocide of native peoples and stealing of their land. As the Rhodesians did as Formosa did… as all such now independent nations have done in reclaiming their lands and resources.
