As horrific as the proposed Lavender AI program appears, isn’t it even more horrific that chains of human decision-making are directly and consciously mandating these actions?
And does the Lavender AI premise of targeting Hamas operatives create a false validation of purpose, even despite its recognition of terrible collateral damage?

Lol Israelis are stupid as dirt if it’s true they use AI for their terrorism targeting/defense.
Just look at what happened Oct 7.
We know Hamas and Co don’t use cell phones or electronic communication most of the time. What’s AI gonna do then?
Not to mention it’s easy to fool AI. AInis like a child, it does what it’s told but doesn’t know tricks can be played with them.

According to the New York Times, “Israeli soldiers entering Gaza were given cameras equipped with the technology. Soldiers also set up checkpoints along major roads that Palestinians were using to flee areas of heavy fighting, with cameras that scanned faces.”
The company is based in Israel and is jointly owned by Israeli company Cortica and Canadian venture capital firm Awz Ventures.

He has said he is going to wait to for an Israeli investigation into the event before making any decision.
Any such investigation, of course, will be the usual white-wash. Therefore, it is simply virtue signalling, which will follow without any real action. ‘Oh, we’re not happy!’ End of story, forget it after a while, recency bias.
Any decent country should drop recognition of the Israeli state since the Zionist government under Netan-nyah-nyah is blatantly racist, nakedly aggressive and murderous, and has no place in a decent world.

Even Guardian is reporting on the strangeness of IDF’s AI systems seeming inability to function as an effective defense mechanism on Oct 7, notwithstanding or perhaps because its focus was always more on offense than defense. General Hossein Salami, commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stressed that Israel had no way out of the conflict in the Gaza Strip but to surrender. I’m rather surprised on which country brought this forward, but nonetheless its a step in the right direction, only a blind man/woman or a Zionist apologist could argue that Israel hasn’t committed war crimes against the oppressed Palestinians.
Why isn’t Nato bombing Israel, Nato bombed plenty of other nations when it thought war crimes were being perpetrated. Nato cannot be trusted.
“The United Nations Human Rights Council has adopted a resolution, calling for a halt to all arms sales to Israel, and for the regime to be held accountable for possible war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
The resolution was passed on Friday with 28 votes in favor, six against, and 13 abstained. Israel’s staunch allies, the US and Germany, were among those opposed it.
The strongly worded text urged countries to “cease the sale, transfer and diversion of arms, munitions and other military equipment to Israel… to prevent further violations of international humanitarian law and violations and abuses of human rights.”
It also highlighted that the International Court of Justice ruled in January “that there is a plausible risk of genocide” in Gaza.
The resolution, which was brought forward by Pakistan on behalf of all Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states except Albania, stressed “the need to ensure accountability for all violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law in order to end impunity.”
It also expressed “grave concern at reports of serious human rights violations and grave breaches of international humanitarian law, including of possible war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”
The resolution also called for “an immediate ceasefire” and “for immediate emergency humanitarian access and assistance.”
It also demanded Israel to end its occupation of all Palestinian territories and “immediately lift its blockade on the Gaza Strip and all other forms of collective punishment.”
