I never bought that story.
My guess is the Iranians merely gave them a heads up that something was coming to them somewhere and an admonishment not to do anything about it or there would be no end to the escalation runway.
As for “mediation” by the Swiss – Ha. Ha. Ha. These guys couldn’t mediate their way out a wet paper bag.
