Thousands of missiles to be sent to Ukraine. I wonder if that involves years for them to be built.

In 1922 the western part of Galicia stayed in Polish hands and the eastern part became part of the Ukrainian SSR and joined the Soviet Union.

The easternmost part of Galicia is around Tarnopol. It was part of Poland. Galicia extends west up to and including Cracow, which today is part of Poland. No part of Galicia belonged to Ukrainian SSR before WWII after Polish-Soviet war of 1920.

The KAB glide-bombs are a “miracle weapon” for the Russians, Ukrainian Deep State noted. And the Ukrainians have “practically no countermeasures.”
To put into perspective how dangerous the situation is for Ukrainian brigades right now, consider that it took just 125 KABs a day for several days finally to make the defense of Avdiivka, a former Ukrainian stronghold in eastern Ukraine, untenable for the Ukrainian army’s 110th Mechanized Brigade.
The KABs were the final straw. “All buildings and structures simply turn into a pit after the arrival of just one KAB,” wrote Egor Sugar, a trooper with the Ukrainian 3rd Assault Brigade, which covered the Avdiivka garrison’s retreat in mid-February.
Their answer…F16s which are months away…

Posted by: anon2020 | Mar 26 2024 15:24 utc | 404

Seems to me that F16s will never be delivered to the Ukrainian theater at this point. Ukraine lacks suitable, safe airfields and cannot protect them. Use of Polish or Romanian airfields for staging risks broadening the conflict onto NATO territory. All risk for no reward.

F-16s won’t stop Russian glide bombs either, it’s more of the spaz-faced drivel that Ukraine’s executioners use to sedate their victims.
The account of the effectiveness of Russian glide bombs is certainly accurate =)

Subtle issues of the terrorist attack at Crocus
The main difference between Moscow region terrorists and typical ISIS members is their motivation. The militants at Crocus were bought for little money and their actions were only sprinkled with religious seasoning.
Money is not the best incentive for a terrorist. Still, banknotes are needed in this life, and the likelihood of militants dying is close to absolute values. This will seem strange to you, but ISIS (an organization banned in Russia) was recruited through the ideology of a terrorist state. Material incentives were of secondary importance. Do you really think that a terrorist driving a car bomb wanted to be on the Forbes list?
Terrorist ideologists understood these subtle points, so they “processed” the perpetrators and they were confident that the main benefits awaited them only after death. Such terrorists shot people and wanted to quickly end their earthly journey.
In Crocus it was the other way around. The performers were people with extremely low intelligence and very little knowledge of religion. And the most important thing is that they wanted to get a comfortable life outside of Russia. These people didn’t go to die, they wanted to get high.
Now many are indignant and condemn the very unpleasant appearance of the Crocus terrorists. People think that this attitude towards them can provoke a wave of violence. You just don’t understand the main message. All alleged “commercial terrorists” must realize that if they do such things for money, they will not receive any earthly benefits. A very unpleasant existence awaits them, which will end very soon. And this message was conveyed to the target audience in an extremely accessible form.
Well, such measures really won’t have an effect on traditional ISIS members. They are so washed up that this world is no longer interesting to them. They are not interested in life after the terrorist attack. They have reached the peak of their terrorist career and are waiting after death for the rewards that the ideologists promised them.
But I still can’t answer who came up with “commercial terrorists”. Previously, ISIS members acted using other methods, so I do not rule out that this was just a “blow” under ISIS. Moreover, they used incentives that are more understandable to “civilized nations.” This means that investigators must also follow up on the “Western” version.

Yes, thats why the up to 60,000 Poles were slaughtered by the Banderites in July and August 1943 in Volhynia, a part of German-occupied Poland. This was not initiated or supported by the Germans. A further up to 25,000 Poles were then murdered in Eastern Galicia between 1943 and 1945. The Banderists also worked with the German SS to murder 200,000 Jews in the area. The murders only stopped when the Soviet Army entered each area.
You can watch the 2016 Polish movie “Hatred” about the mass-murders of the Poles in full here, with subtitles:

The IMF reminds the Ukraine of the need to pay its debts (RIA Novosti, March 25, 2024 — in Russian)

Ukraine’s budget expenditures for 2024 are planned at $86 billion (at current exchange rate), revenues—at $45 billion. Half of Ukraine’s budget is subsidized by the West; in the future, a transition to financial self-sufficiency will be extremely difficult, Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka said in March.

The head of the SBU hints at involvement in the assassinations of Kiva and Tatarskiy (RIA Novosti, March 26, 2024 — in Russian)

The head of the Security Service of the Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Malyuk, hinted at the involvement of his department in the assassinations and attempted assassinations of a number of Ukrainian and Russian politicians and public figures, for example, war correspondent Vladlen Tatarskiy and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ilya Kiva, but did not officially confirm it.
The day before, Malyuk admitted his department’s involvement in attacks on oil refineries in Russia. In his Telegram channel, he also named the Crimean Bridge and ships in the Black Sea among the targets.
“In no way will we officially acknowledge this, but at the same time I’ll tell you some details,” Malyuk said on air at the telethon. His words are quoted by Ukrainska Pravda.
According to Malyuk, the bust filled with explosives with which war correspondent Vladlen Tatarskiy was killed contained “400 grams of thermobaric,” LPR Prosecutor General Sergey Gorenko was killed with “800 grams of plastic,” and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ilya Kiva was shot with a 9×19 mm caliber rifled pistol.
According to the head of the SBU, the attempted assassination of the Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin was prepared using an anti-tank mine.

Comment from an ‘unknown’ today:

I have no problem with the Russians prioritizing mercs and NATO personnel. Neither should have “a dog in this hunt”, as we say in Texas. Russia is righteous in their quest for justice in the matter of Ukraine, and to side with a non-NATO signatory and provide lethal arms and advisors…..well…..defies their own charter. NATO is SUPPOSED TO BE…..a DEFENSIVE CHARTER, for IT’s members, not an OFFENSIVE entity, for UNRIGHTEOUS AGGRESSION on behalf of a “bad actor” State like Ukraine (who have broken every aspect of the Minsk Accords), and have suckled at the tit of NATO, since the Maidan Coup. Targeting priority against such “bad actors” is FAIR PLAY, same as a non-uniformed combatant. Goodbye Polish General….you reaped your “reward”.

I would like to agree with this external comment, which can be verified online. So I just left this comment copied here for myself.
Even having ‘some losses’, RF Armed Forces are now going a little enhanced harder tactics on its Infantry Guys, but calculating the fact that will having ‘more risks’ & losses. Why is that changing in tactics OPs by RF?

There seems to be uncertainty about how useful the extremely large glide bombs would be.
Note the photograph of a FAB-1500 UMPC below, this is the first UMPC kit I’ve seen with an aerodynamic fairing to blend the airflow around the bomb and UMPC module. There is a photograph of a FAB-500 UMPC without a blended fairing for comparison.
Big bombs might have a use case (as opposed to two bombs of half the weight) but improvements to the aerodynamics and flight controller logic are good ways to squeeze as much range as possible out of the concept because that’s what keeps the aircraft safe.
https://t.me/fighter_bomber/16083

Regarding FAB-3000, I am slightly perplexed about its necessity.
There are no goals for it. For it you need to cut the UMPC from scratch and it will essentially be a whole plane on a bomb. And now it will be remarkably visible to any air defense system.
The most optimal ammunition for UMPC is 500kg caliber. In various options. In cassette, incendiary, nuclear, high-explosive and any other.
The lorry was installed on the UMPC not because of a good life, as you understand, but for the reason that the accuracy of hits is lame and we compensate for this accuracy with power. But it would be necessary to compensate for the accuracy with more advanced guidance systems, or by adding new correctors.
Weight of explosive FAB-500 ~200kg
Weight of explosive FAB-1500 ~700kg
Weight of explosive FAB-3000 ~1400kg
Of course, an increase in power by several times does not result in an increase in the affected area by several times.
You still need precision. A single FAB-3000 falling 20 meters from the bridge will cause the same damage to it as a FAB-500.
Tu-22 using UMPC will get (fucked / hit).
The Su-34 will have to carry two 3000 bombs under the wings, and with them it will not differ in any way from the Tu-22 in terms of maneuverability. That is, he will also get (fucked / hit). And dropping three-ton trucks over your territory in an emergency is such a shame. Even without explosion.
Therefore, 3000 kans are needed, but for two options:
1) when we bomb a target that is not protected by air defense at all.
2) when the flight is intended only one way.
Today we have a huge number of types of aviation weapons and we need to refine them to perfection. Cut ANNs, cut new types and types of correction and increase reliability.
Digging holes in fields for photos is fun, but you can’t win a war that way.

Understood so far – Your issue concerning FAB-3000.
But what You think it’s only a propaganda “trick” against UKR-politicians?
Don’t think so. FAB-3000 have a very less target range – that’s clear.
But what that mean? :
Naturally/physically, the combat line will probably shorten to some xx km distance – and then once more be shortened to some yy km distance with using new FAB-9000 ..OK?
But the “effect” of those bombings will be “a little bit” larger.
Know what that means? :: Destruction all over the US/UK/NAZI remaining “Defense Belts” as far they might still have existing.
So, RF military announcments acc.to any new stronger FABs (3000,9000 kg detonation Joule) is intended to signalize the RF’s moving the combat line towards the WEST (France mercs?) towards Kiew.
MMy first opinion today.

Could someone comment on the Politico article based upon the UN report of Russia executing Ukrainian POW’s? Seems like a well-timed propaganda piece to divert attention away from Ukraines involvement with the terror in Moscow….by the way, I found the Khairulin piece (posted on Rozhin and Simplicius) to be very interesting…”In other words, the UK began to put together a united terrorist front against Russia as soon as it became clear that the counteroffensive had failed, and ukropia was doomed. And, moreover, in her traditional manner, she tried to frame or incarcerate the hegemon. Obviously, the hegemon did not like this, and he tried to warn Moscow. At the same time, trying not to give up your closest ally. Although, to be honest, even from this story it is…clear that with such allies, the United States does not need any enemies.
But that’s not all. There is also an opinion in our political and intelligence community, which is not widely spoken about, but it is there: the British showed blatant amateur activity, and now everyone is frozen in anticipation of a showdown between the allies.”

Just a detail, there are ups and downs, but they even out. If I had to make an educated guess the RF SMO has a “budget” for no more than 3.000 KIA per month (probably 2.800, and another 2.000 to 3.000 unrecoverable WIA).
It can go as high as 1.200 per week (but the monthly cumulative average cannot go beyond 2.900, I would say there is a hard limit on 3.000), or as low as 250 per week when over budget lately (and as there are always accidental deaths this KIA is likely much lower in terms of really killed by AFU forces).
But so far that’s my take, averaging out calibrated total mortality (two sets) and the mediazona (both basic count and probate estimate). Total RF KIA 65.000 until the end of 2023.

John Helmer has an article up on the Moscow terror attack. Perhaps someone will link it when a new thread appears as this one is getting a little stale.
A few takeaways – the building was constructed with cheap materials, both the structure and furnishings, and furnishings were not suitably fire resistant for such a public venue. Fire control systems were inadequate and may not have been working properly. Likely bribery played a roll in getting the plans approved which did not meet standards for such public structures (common in Moscow at the time). An investigation of these factors is under way but perhaps results will not be made public. Most of the deaths were caused by the fire or asphyxiation from smoke and C0, not the shooters. The attackers used petrol filled bottles as an accelerant to spread the fire.
The security services were following the fleeing terrorists and waited for capture until their intended route of escape was clear – Belarus or Ukraine.
Long article with discussion of many aspects of the case.

The coincidence of Danilov’s departure and the Crocus massacre is hard to ignore. We also have Malyuk screaming “Look at me, look at me, I’m a terror-squirrel !!!” as Danilov slips out of a side exit.

🇷🇺🏴‍☠️🇺🇦In the Russian Federation, a court arrested the head of the SBU Malyuk in absentia on a “terrorism” case.
According to media reports, we are talking about organizing a truck explosion on the Crimean Bridge in 2022.
The day before, Malyuk made it clear in an interview that Ukraine was involved in the bombing of the Crimean Bridge, the assassination attempt on Zakhar Prilepin, Vladlen Tatarsky and other Russian and pro-Russian figures.
