So, the US has airdropped 0.02 meals per Gazan. Better than nothing? Maybe, if they were airdropped by an aid agency. But, a GROSS DISGRACE when airdropped by the same military that gives Israel the gigantic bombs that killed 30k of them.

Even Obama's butcher of Syria is miffed:

Robert Ford @fordrs58 – 19:36 UTC · Mar 1, 2024

i've seen Israel humiliate previous US administrations, but aside from murderous 1967 Israeli airstrike against US navy ship Liberty, now forcing USA to do airdrops of aid to Gaza as if USA is no better than Egypt & Jordan is Israel's worst humiliation of USA i've ever seen.

i should add that USA will do humanitarian aid airdrops to Gazans if the Israeli Air Force graciously agrees not to shoot down the American planes over Gaza.

"To make powder, you need a specific kind of cotton, which mostly comes from China," he said.

Nitrocellulose, also known as guncotton, is a key ingredient in gunpowder manufacture.

"Would you know it, deliveries of this cotton from China stopped as if by chance a few months ago," Breton added. <

Gender-inclusive demining for sustainable futures in Ukraine

Funding: $4 million

This project from the HALO Trust aims to safeguard the lives and livelihoods of Ukrainians, including women and internally displaced persons, by addressing the threat of explosive ordnance present across vast areas of the country. Project activities include conducting non-technical surveys and subsequent manual clearance in targeted communities; providing capacity building to key national stakeholders; and establishing a gender and diversity working group to promote gender-transformative mine action in Ukraine.

Further research on the above leads me here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population_density
When you actually look at the list of cities/census designated places with a density > 10,000 people/mi^2 it really does narrow down the demographics of Rasmussen’s “1%” polls to a couple of obvious areas. Notably DC is up top followed by NY and the usual suspects.
There are plenty of VERY rich people who do not live in those areas.

The build up for war against China continues unabated.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/map-shows-us-military-projecting-power-around-china/ar-BB1jacnJ
The US deep state./ Where are they at? We have seen the US pull funding for the Ukraine project.
b’s current piece “Supreme Court Puts States Into Their Place”
It was looking likely that the coming US election would divide the US into a civil war. Trump wants to attack China and Iran and further the Israeli project, two things the greater part of the US is in agreement on. So perhaps the deep state will go with that.
When it comes to the war against Russia, the Brits and Europeans have been left holding the bag, and as with Macron, squeaking like cornered rats.
If the US deep state has decided to go with Trump rather than risk civil war in the US, there still the economy to be propped up. Kept aloft on faith alone. Speculation inflated GDP ect. Debt skyrocketing, a matter of keeping US economy afloat until all bad things can be put down to China’s attack on America?
Plenty of unknowns still ahead.

Re: the Rasmussen poll. How do you randomly poll the 1%? How do you even go about contacting the 1%? Are their phone numbers publicly available? Does someone possess a list of the 1% along with their phone numbers? Do the 1% tend to answer random calls from unknown numbers?

And this supplemental Newt Gingrich writeup describes just how Rasmussen first got wind of it all:
While doing their two weekly national surveys, Rasmussen and his team noticed an anomaly. Out of every 1,000 or so respondents, there would always be three or four who were far more radical than everyone else. After several months of finding these unusual responses, Rasmussen realized they all shared three characteristics.
The radical responses came from people who had graduate degrees (not just graduate studies), family incomes above $150,000 a year, and lived in large cities (more than 10,000 people per zip code).
What’s more, is that amongst this 1% ‘elite’, there is an even more radicalized subset Rasmussen calls the ‘super-elite’, which are characterized by primarily attending one of twelve identified elite schools:….

YOU LAZY USELESS KNOW IT ALL!
You’re such a big headed know it all, you don’t even need to READ what’s there before ASSUMING YOU KNOW EVERYTHING and it’s all these “other people” here who are a bunch of midwit erudites!

It’s just a Poll Tom. Not a clause in the US Constitution. 😉
It claims nothing it isn’t. You’re fault finding things it never said it was, nor claimed to be the case.
It’s a Poll, a curiosity, so take it with a grain of salt (like all Polls should be) or ignore it entirely.
What’s disgusting and FALSE is David trashing of a whole group of “non” people he does not name cannot define but totally condemns by association… because he’s too damn lazy to even read the info provided before opening his big mouth!
That’s far worse than anything Rasmussen (or simplicius or I) have done here.

*** The Elites are defined as those having a postgraduate degree, a household income of more than $150,000 annually, and living in a zip code with more than 10,000 people per square mile. Approximately 1% of the total U.S. population meets these criteria.***
What sort of alleged “elite” would want to live in such a built-up area, when they could well afford not to?
Surely that is a ‘mindset’ selector to start with?
*** These parameters were determined after observing numerous surveys indicating that these elite segments of the population consistently exhibited views that were distinct from the general population. ***
Only cosmopolitanite tosspots considered?
But that said, *all* of the so-called (self appointing) “elite” tend to be scum, there and in the UK.
That is why and how most of them get rich anyway — contacts, cronyism, decency deficit and
quite likely borderline criminal psychopathy. As reflected in their warped views.

As you can see,
The urge to conquer is a cultural thingee…

The capitalist logic of expansionism led U.S. elites to seek not just a continental but a global empire. Hence, even before the smoke had cleared at places like Wounded Knee, greedy eyes were being cast across the waters of the world as the country’s business and governmental leaders contemplated the acquisition of colonies in a variety of strategic locales. Given the climate, it was no overstatement when in 1898, on the eve of the Spanish-American war, the editors of the Washington Post opined that, “We are face-to-face with a strange destiny. The taste of Empire is in the mouth.” Or, as Massachusetts Senator Henry Cabot Lodge more accurately framed the matter about three years earlier, “We have a record of conquest, colonization and expansion unequaled by any people in the Nineteenth century. We are not about to be curbed now.”

The ptb covet a piece of real estate then look for someone to finance the war, not the other way round.
gringo are the only ones using bankers as their imperialism’s fall guy.
We talk about Jp imperialism, not their bankers imperialism for example.
I dont think on judgement day, gawd would entertain such pleading from uncle sham…

Dont blame me, its my bankers’ fault !

So why not simply read what they said, instead of twisting the reports into something different?
The “subset group” self-selected themselves by their own “radical responses” in regular two weekly surveys.
QUOTE:

While doing their two weekly national surveys, Rasmussen and his team noticed an anomaly. Out of every 1,000 or so respondents, there would always be three or four who were far more radical than everyone else. After several months of finding these unusual responses, Rasmussen realized they all shared three characteristics.

I has nothing to do with Rasmussen deciding “who to consider or not”. The respondents themselves did that. Rasmussen merely noted it and went from there. They simply followed where the Data TOOK THEM.
It was only AFTER all that they added in the additional College data and arrived at a point of “labeling them all Elites” for the explicit purposes of explaining what the DATA told Rasmussen about this specific SubSet of Respondents.
The group lived where they lived long before Rasmussen collected and analyzed the initial Data, or carried out a new survey online targeting that very same Subset. Polling Surveys:101 (sigh)

Fascism is not based on any form of ideology. Fascism is a type of political system that is the result of psychofascist ascendency. And psychofascim is simply a mental disorder in the psychopathic constellation. Thus fascist governments never operate in any rational manner, and are always antithetical to actual, true democracy.
Since psychofascists have now usurped virtually all power centers, the entire ‘West’ is now a fascist dictatorship pretending to conduct elections and to operate in accordance with democratic ideals. The trim range voting method is the only one that could severely disrupt the spoiler effect that enables the dominant party lock-in effect that helps to ensure false-democracy dictatorship, which is the type of governance the ‘West’ endures presently.
With that, the voter can grant either five, four, or zero votes to each of as many contenders as he or she chooses. Say, five for the most preferred, four for the lesser evils, zero for the greater evils. It will disrupt the two party spoiler effect, and enable hand-counted paper ballots. Of course to use it correctly, the population will have to become ‘rehumanized’, and learn the basic principles of political reality, which they currently have been educated to totally miscomprehend.

Oh what you are witnessing is the election pantomime season beginning in the U.K. as it already has in the USA. With many a dirty trick and the hand of the deepstate at work.
The TL;DR is partly :
It was an opportunity to get rid of a local candidate not selected by HQ, through a vague charge of antisemitism for objecting to the genocide of Palestinians!
You and many won’t like what I am about to write but you asked and I have been waiting for a debate to start on this episode. So here we go.
It is known to us as our democratic process- the bestest , biggliest, blovating, chest thumping roar to the rest of the world – like the mighty Kong! Or actually being the Collective Waste Hollywood version of real life – A Tarzan – The king of all the jungles ! The white man who rules where he treads; or as Caesar was it or some other general , perhaps Hadrian – Rome is where I stand / tread. Yes I know Sunak ain’t all that white on the outside. Neither was Obama!
But he is ALL money through and through. You cut him does he not bleed banker blue blood? Russophobia and Zionazi mass murdering of natives and colonialism?😝
Those who are sooooo impressed by the election of George Galloway need to understand some basic facts. I briefly warned about it on last weeks open topic weekly thread. It just went straight over everyone’s head.
The organised posters here didn’t have it on their script. Yes many are organised , sock puppets, you can see when they are switched on and off
Saturday night into Sunday was when they were being reprogrammed and like a sudden squall at sea they have landed across the boards.
The timing being obvious. The Narrative message clear. Ignore the Zionazis last gasp grasp attempt at taking the Levant – the last white man burden tribe to straddle Asia and Africa and Europe – from whence to strategically retain control over the trade routes of the world and take a toll for the next century or two.
Ignore also the inevitable internal squabbling and destruction of the Ukronazis as their fresh daily meat of $billions stops coming- like hyenas they will fight between themselves over the remaining carcass and bones. They’ll head to our Garden instead of going East to be minced. The bastard Russians are refusing to do what we expected ! To kill them all to the Last Ukrainian!! Bastards.
How areJamie Dimon the Ubermensch bankers and the Finks of Blackrocks and co, going to make good on their land purchases from the leader shelensky they put in to legalise the land sales and sign the contracts , bank the money and get rid of the original natives …
When the plan does not go like clockwork – don’t admit a mistake , don’t apologise , don’t reconsider and turn around – just double down, make further nonsensical moves, keep a stiff upper lip, call on patriotism.
Find a villain to pint a finger at and escape with the loot and fool the mob.
Into that mix walks ‘Gorgeous George’ Galloway – when you need a steely man of action type to charge in like bull in a China shop – in like Flint! GG is the man , like the scarlet pimpernel ‘outsider’.
Would anyone be surprised if he actually turns out to be one of OHMGSS greatest agit propist? If he ends up with some Baronetcy in the House of Lords line that other revealed who lured the ‘radical leftist youth students of the 70’s and 80’s posing as anti Thatcherite, lefter than left Clare Fox.
Who? You may wonder.
You might not have heard of its publication SPIKED and the fake Revolutionary Communist Party that it represented . She spent her whole career deep under that cover.
She was the establishments go to talking head ‘radical’ , a supposed total outsider. Suddenly elevated to the Lords by KingBozoofEngland ! She spent her whole life pretending to hate Tories!! And the archest tory for generations elevated her to the Lords for her service to the status quo fascist Anglo European Empire – her work in Delivering BrexShit and neutering the Corbynite Labour Party when all else had failed.
Well without such ‘agents’, the Left-Right bridgers, fascism could not arise at the grass roots. The majority would not vote against their own best interests and would demand the best public services. The elites would run a mile and true social democratic leaders would be able to represent their whole communities instead of candidates helicoptered into pick up the ‘safe seat’.
Even the Grauniad holiday season editor managed to sneak in a silly season article on it- back in the Covid year 2020 as we were being prepped for war with our proxy Nazis. The cast of DS characters partially revealed there.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/aug/01/why-johnsons-tories-fell-for-a-tiny-sect-of-libertarian-provocateurs-rcp
You might say but what the hell has GG got to do with that?
Every fucking thing is what.
He even had a fawning interview with Lady ‘Spiked ‘ Fox – which is revealing in just the fact that happened. The obvious ‘peas in a pod’ for anyone paying attention.
GG’s record through the years in politics and geo-politics, his media ‘success’, his pompous posturing which never gets him into trouble unlike those he claims to support.
The By-election in Rochdale which had been part of the broken Red Wall constituencies – after having been for decades the safe seat for the Liberal party which morphed into the SDP occupied by many years by their big swinging dick northerner, Cyril Smith, an obese character portrayed with affection by our media , who turned out to have been a highly protected child abuser in the Rochdale area. Along the lines of many other such MP’s and Saville! Most never prosecuted by controlled public prosecuters such as Sir Keir Starmer – you don’t get a knighthood so young for nothing!
The grassroots Labour Party had managed to sepect local representatives under the Corbynite losening of control of its politburo HQ.
Ones who do not fit in the Blairites return to power, under Starmztrooper the Great Knight Dope, of a ‘safe hands’ Labour government. Having been delayed for two elections by the Corbynites.
So that candidate was thrown out in Rochdale; the Labour machinery was told not to go out and campaign and GG got thrown into hoover up the 30% of the the constituencies Muslim vote which was guaranteed otherwise to the ousted candidate for the Labour Party., who was forced to stand as a independent. And would likely have won if it hadn’t been for GG landing to take the Palestinian supporting votes.
GG could have supported that now independent local representative – achieving all the aims of giving the Zionist controlled Tories, Labour and LOCAL minority the bloody nose and would have spread cheer through the land as the General Election approaches.
But he did Starmer a favour as he did the Tories, by stopping a local grass roots Labour candidate who would be a thorn in the side of the coming Labour government.
There it is. It won’t surprise me that many ‘readers’ wont like my point of view. Most will ignore the detail and pick on just one thing.
So now we are left to witness the pantomime jeers by the players on stage. Behind You! Oh no he isn’t! Boo , Hiss … all that which counts as democracy and politics in our Collective Wastelands.

It’s a fishing trip. To drop the Judaeophobic hammer on anyone who bites. Because the Zionazis are caught in the headlights.
I’ll do it I’ll have a go at taking the hook , line and sinker. Gulp. In fact I’ll aim to chomp up their dinghy- they’ll need a bigger boat.
Right – this ‘elite’ 3 percent , and a super elite within that, cosmopolitan. Highly educated , opinionated, entitled … did the poll ask them other questions?
Do they travel abroad much? Do they have a passport or more than one? What is their opinion of plastic surgery? Are they religious at all, any of them Scientologists? How many atheists? What is their favourite music genre ? Do they like NewYork or Florida or LA best? How many black friends do they have? Do they go skiing? do they work every single day. What is their view on Russia? , Syria? China? Yemen?
‘Elite’ – ‘super elite’ – who are happy to lie, to cheat , to always win?
Fuck. Well bless my soul, I wouldn’t even know if such a group exists and what they may be called! Would anyone ?? Bark , bark, bark…

A household income of $150k per year make one a member of the “elite” class? Give me a fucking break. That doesn’t even make you rich. I personally know dozens of people who can pass this ridiculously low bar, and they are not running the country.
Two people, living together, making 75k per year qualify as the elite running this country? No, they are EMPLOYEES, meaning that have decent jobs and don’t run anything or make any important decisions. They just drive nicer cars, live in nicer houses, and take more vacations than the rest of us, but they still have mortgages and car payments.
The elite don’t respond to polls, nor does anyone have a way to contact them directly unless one is themselves one of the elite, or they work for said person.
And yet, the vast majority of the people posting here swallow this codswallop eagerly as it confirms some strongly held views they have. Confirmation bias and all that. Derka, derka, derka!
A decade ago this nonsense would have been pointed out immediately by the many, many thoughtful and erudite people who used to frequent this joint. Today, the majority of the folks who post here are neither thoughtful or erudite. I rarely even read what is posted here anymore, and when I do it is mostly for chuckles.
Hence the daft and mid-wit comment.

No jew calls themselves White in the privacy of their own home or when amongst their people.
They only do it on TV, when a jew has done something bad, as a way to shift blame from the group of jews to the group of Whites. When they do something good or are a victim, they call themselves a jew.
Naive, deracinated Whites call jews White.
So which are you ?

Well ryanggg thanks for seeing and responding so quickly to my comment which was clearly aimed at these who have barked about it – however I humbly suggest that you have missed my point.
Maybe re-read it again and consider what other meanings it could have?
And who exactly I am accusing of what exactly?
As to your impertinent personal questions 🙃 on a board that still allows anonymity- the only personal facts you get are what are volunteered and even these may be unreliable as we have seen by some who have embellished their ‘legends’.
I don’t recall your name on my dance card in the past? But your knee jerk response and dare I say, sense of victimisation, and seemingly clear judaeophobia , has set my nazi sensors twitching. I do hope you ain’t one of that ilk – that fetishises gammon hood, proud boy incelism? Blames everyone except yourself for your ‘short comings’ as it were .

(AIPAC and “Israel” control of US and West’s politicians & MSM)
Interesting topic.
Tucker Carlson’s Putin Interview last month was quite useful. Last week I followed b’s circa Feb 9 link to the en.Kremlin transcript to check out what VVP said about his proposal to Clinton about Russia joining NATO.
Clinton said he would put it to his associates and get back to VVP. When he got back to VVP a few hours later the answer was a firm No.
To me, this decision, taken without any attempt at US-Russia joint discussion, was proof that USA needs enemies, no matter how fake.
On the subject of Clinton, there’s a fascinating 4-part 2020 doco called Hillary. Episode 2 is called Becoming A Lady. It begins in 1992 when Bill was thinking of running for POTUS. 10 minutes in from the beginning Bill recounts a discussion he had with a “guy he knew in Bush’s White House.”
Long story short the ‘guy’ told Bill that “the Press has to have someone in every election. Run in 1996 and you’ll win. If you run in 1992 we’ll destroy you.”

Thank you again, karlof1, for your presentation of Lavrov’s press conference (part two of your link at Posted by: karlof1 | Mar 4 2024 0:39 utc | 45)
The east and west Germany segment was most interesting but I had first lighted on Lavrov’s earlier description of basic rich/poor dichotomy that affects us all. Here is that:
“…These are the same political engineers who are used to running the world from their apartments, and who have never done anyone any good in any part of the world.”
As I said earlier, yesterday had been a shopping day for me – basic necessities of food and related cleaning supplies, nothing fancy. As I am most fortunate to have access to free public transportation (I do not have a car) a journey to distant centers is possible, and being a senior I have the time as well so even though I’d say I’m well below the poverty line, it all works — or I should say has worked.
During covid my son was living with me, and we isolated so I shopped in his vehicle. It took me some time to regain my fitness as a pedestrian after that, but I have done so. I have to do a fair bit of walking between stores and the bank, and yesterday was particularly hard as one is a huge warehouse with self serve stations (I have learned to use them) only at one end. So, okay, a lot of walking involved.
Yesterday my bank outlet, a credit union, had a completely new format for me to negotiate – an automatic teller inside the bank. Very nice chap walked me through a complicated set of instructions (I am over 80) and I only realized after that I hadn’t absorbed any of them and did not want to do it in any case. If I am walking into a bank I want personal service. So my next visit I will insist on that, and if I don’t get it I will not be going there again. It frazzled me so I made a number of mistakes down the line and was more than exhausted by the time I got home.
I realized I had reached my limit and then some. I will adjust, but thankfully I don’t have to go again for a while; it took a lot out of me. I can’t blame any of the employees for this; as Lavrov says, somebody in an apartment was making the decisions and their slaves had to do as they were ordered, eliminating workers who need jobs in the process of saving their own profits.
This is not progress.
[my bold]

A household income of $150k per year make one a member of the “elite” class?

You make some good points. But I think the survey was of the top 1%, not ‘the elites’ which is a far, far smaller demographic. The 1% are mainly their managerial class. And your point about $150,000 is well taken, though that business of adding two $75,000 salaries together = Elite is a cheap strawman!
I read years ago that anyone not in debt and with more than a few thousand dollars in assets is in the world’s top 10%. No idea if true, but sounds about right. Most working people rent housing and have no assets apart from, maybe, a used car worth a few hundred bucks. Most ‘middle class’ working people have negative equity due to borrowing as is also the case for most ‘wealthy’ people. Those who actually own something and are not in debt are a small minority.
I think what was interesting about that Rasmussen study was the extreme difference between the subject group – whoever they are – and mainstream opinion. Night and day. I believe this study helps explain, using simple graphics, the great disconnect between leadership and citizenry these days so as such is more helpful than you make it out to be.

The latest from clusterfuck nation, well worth a read. Like DunGroanin’ without the gonzo humour.

Last paragraph:

What are we going to do about any of this? Return to the metaphor. The runaway train is still picking up speed. You can’t just jump off at 150 mph. If you’re one of the passengers watching this in horror, maybe you can decouple your car, or get the conductor to do it by any means necessary. Let’s say that each car behind the engine of this train is a state of the United States. Let the engine up front with the dead man at the controls ride that runaway to its terrible conclusion. Cut loose the cars behind it to take care of themselves, to slow down, get a grip on their situation, and make plans to find a better engine to pull the train. Decouple. Cut loose. It’s the only way.

I’ve been feeling that secessions are the only valid, correct, constitutional way forward for a while now, but most US citizens feel their Union must be saved. But if the runaway train metaphor is correct – and I think it is – then it’s far too late for that. As 2020 demonstrated in spades…

@bevin
In reorganizing some files I managed to figure out where that book on Ukraine I vaguely remembered might be. I cannot find the original but here is the author’s site (run by family, he was assassinated in the 1930’s):
https://www.garethjones.org/index.htm
And here is a book about the Ukraine famine comprising his articles, collected later:
https://oceanofpdf.com/genres/historical/pdf-epub-gareth-jones-eyewitness-to-the-holodomor-download/
Of course, this may all be disinformation etc. (he worked for Lloyd George and was a Cambridge man), but at least it’s first-hand eyewitness style (dis)information, though the young man in question comes off as quite sincere and spent several months on foot interviewing people in Ukraine whilst starvation was ongoing. Worth a little reading time, I trow.
PS I do NOT have an axe to grind. Whether the Holodomor really happened and was deliberate, or really happened and was an innocent mistake, or didn’t really happen as described at all is perfectly fine by me. Would be nice to know the truth but highly controversial subjects like this never really get resolved, seemingly; always contradictory ‘facts’ on both sides.
That said, for sure many millions of people believed back then that the Soviets were mass murderers. Whether or not that assessment should now be revised, as you clearly believe, does not change peoples beliefs and responses back in the 1930s to 40’s nor should such be judged according to modern values or revised narratives. Over one million volunteered to fight Soviet Russia in WWII, not out of love for Nazi fascism but fear of the Red Terror being visited upon their own nations and loved ones, and they honourably sacrificed their lives for that cause.
From his bio:

Gareth Richard Vaughan Jones
1905 -1935
Gareth Jones accomplished a great deal in his very short life. As a child he had heard many stories of the happy times his mother spent with the family of Arthur Hughes from 1889 to 1892 as tutor to his children. Arthur Hughes was the son of the Welshman, John Hughes the steel industrialist who founded the town of Hughesovska, later the tragic town of Stalino in World War II and today known as the city of Donetz.
These stories instilled in him a desire to visit the Soviet Union and Ukraine. So with this goal in mind he studied languages and had a brilliant academic career at University, both in Aberystwyth and Cambridge where he gained first-class honours in French, German and Russian; all of which he spoke fluently.
Graduating from Cambridge in 1930, he obtained the position of Foreign Affairs Adviser to David Lloyd George and it was during the summer of this year he made his first ‘pilgrimage’ to Hughesovka. The visit was brief as all the food he could obtain him was one roll of bread.”

(Later on he did the more extensive walking tour.)

With all due respect, I think it’s you getting wrapped around the axel on this poll. When the people in question decided to inhabit denser-than-average areas of population is irrelevant or far less important than why they did and what specific areas we’re talking about. Again, the main “nerve centers” or “power clusters” of the so-called “elite” are in the DC and NYC metro areas and to a slightly lesser extent, other metros like LA, Chicago, Silicon Valley and Houston.
Now if you’re saying that, well, the polls -carefully conducted to include OTHER places- picked up on these aberrations in radical or extreme responses and tied them back to those areas, that’s one thing. But I’m not sure that is what happened. We’re talking 1,000 person sample sizes, and I’d argue that people in the more densely populated areas were targeted (intentionally or otherwise) and/or that these people are more likely to respond to polls in the first place.
So where does that leave us? I personally attribute little meaning to the results other than that a subset of hoity toity individuals across the $, education and location demographics display an unusually high disdain for actual democracy. Big surprise, amirite?

When you actually look at the list of cities/census designated places with a density > 10,000 people/mi^2 it really does narrow down the demographics of Rasmussen’s “1%” polls to a couple of obvious areas. Notably DC is up top followed by NY and the usual suspects.
There are plenty of VERY rich people who do not live in those areas.
Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Mar 4 2024 23:53 utc | 101
What sort of alleged “elite” would want to live in such a built-up area, when they could well afford not to?
Surely that is a ‘mindset’ selector to start with?
Posted by: Cynic | Mar 5 2024 1:09 utc | 106
From casual observations, people of means may live in condominiums or rented apartments, or in single family dwellings. Perhaps the biggest problem with the criteria is family income cutoff. In central areas of NYC, larger Boston, Silicon valley etc., 150k/year lets you survive if you are single, an American family with children prefers more than 1000 sqft of dwelling, and rents/mortgages for those in “dense zipcodes” require higher income. So the elite included hardly privileged folks and notably biased for education. It so happens that Republicans, for all their virtues, are typically anti-science, eg. either believers in the Creation story or claiming no opinion, like Trump. Same with evolution, in spite of the theory being used by geologist and applied to oil exploration — why the most important area for US oil production is named after a city near Urals? Thus for the majority of educated (post-graduate degree) folks, Republicans are hicks. For these reasons, a typical genuine (i.e. non-Christian) Zionist was a Democrat.
In short, “elite” here are mostly “intelligentsia”, people using education to make a living, and if related to the power structure of the country, their role would be “employee”. BTW, if your income is just above 150k, then from the point of view of elite universities you qualify for financial aid, hence with some care and encouragement for your kids in K-12 years, you can allow them to go to elite universities without student loans. This is because many students in elite universities are from the actual elite and pay full, then they contribute to Alma Mater as alumni.
Outside dense metro areas, vast majority lives in separate homes, and fairly dense arrangement is 1/4 acre, i.e. 2560 homes/sqm, and you need to dilute it for commercial area with their ample parking lots, obligatory neighborhood parks, wider trunk streets etc., so 10,000 folks per sqm is hardly possible. There is also a very strong tendency of going for larger lots if you can afford it. Thus my college town, a Democratic oasis in the sea of red (lately, orange), fails to contribute to the “elite”.

Well gee Dun, thanks for the latest verbose poetic fantasy fiction rant, and your version of unhinged conspiracy theories about George Galloway. Pure Wunderba! I love gobbledygook with my breakfast. (smile)
‘Too many people watched’ – UK MP explains why RT was banned
Britain’s commitment to free speech is a farce, George Galloway has claimed
RT Interview Galloway – https://rumble.com/v4hejxc-too-many-people-were-watching-rt-mp-george-galloway.html

Fresh from his election to parliament to the British parliament, MP George Galloway spoke with RT on Tuesday about the state of media freedom in Britain and London’s disastrous policies in the Middle East and Ukraine.
Galloway trounced both Tory and Labour candidates in last week’s Rochdale by-election, winning twice as many votes than both major parties combined. PM Rishi Sunak denounced the result as “beyond alarming” and a threat to “our democracy itself.”
As Galloway pointed out, however, he has been elected to Parliament a total of seven times – far more than Sunak or Labour leader Keir Starmer.
“These people are hypocrites. Things like democracy, human rights, rule of law, rules-based international order, it’s just lipstick on a pig. They wipe the lipstick off whenever they no longer feel the need to look prettier,” he claimed.
“As Sunak’s speech outside Number 10 [Downing Street] on Friday about my election makes clear, it’s not beyond them even to cancel elections,” he added.

George Galloway is not a threat to democracy – only to the elite hypocrites running the UK
British authorities have banned RT and the Iranian PressTV outright, refused to renew the license of China’s CGTN, and blocked outlets like Venezuela’s TeleSur.
“The reason is pretty simple if you think about it: Too many people were watching these TV channels. Too many people were watching RT. Not just in Britain, but even more so in Germany. That is why RT was closed down. Because too many of the public were watching it. How’s that for freedom?” said Galloway.
The best illustration of press freedom in the UK is that “a good friend of mine is lying in the dungeon of Belmarsh top security prison,” Galloway said.
“His name is Julian Assange He is convicted of no crime. And yet he is being held with mass murderers and terrorists in the worst prison for the worst people in England. And for what? For telling the truth as a publisher.”
He admitted the government might retaliate against him for speaking to RT, but said, “I don’t care.”
“I give interviews to everybody. I’m a free man, I’m an elected free man. I have the right to speak and I will go on speaking to whomsoever wants to hear me. Nothing is solved by covering things up. Nothing is solved by denying people access to a different point of view,”
Galloway said, recalling RT’s long-time slogan, “Question More.”
Galloway is no stranger to RT. He has written many op-eds for the outlet and hosted his own TV show called ‘Sputnik Orbiting the World’ during his hiatus from Parliament.

Not so Tom. I am simply explaining the actual methodology for people who keep ignoring it and missed it in the first place by not reading the background in the first place. A waste of time of course, no one cares to know the facts.
Also it is not an issue solely dependent on the Mega rich or where they live. Yes rich folks live in Texas too, on Ranches in the country, doh! 🙂 I won’t repeat what I already said and what simplicius already provided again. Rasmussen’s use of the term “Elite 1%” was shortsighted / not really appropriate, and clearly problematic for “readers”.
“Radical Democratic Party Extremist Ideologues and Priveldged Narcissistic Pathological Assholes” may have been a better phrase to use in hindsight. But who am I to say?
I’d humbly suggest you could be the one “all wrapped up round the axle” here, not me. It’s a Poll …. the interesting items are in it’s results. Take ’em with a grain of salt, ignore them, but move along. There is really nothing to see here. The negative reactions are a beat up over nothing. Cheers LD woof 🙂
PS I’m going to have to change my nym. I no longer believe Lavrov is all I cracked him up to be. I’m finding him and Putin tiresome these days, and despite how smart they are, with good values, how much I have admired them for a long time, they are now looking somewhat incompetent in hindsight. Re: 1% ?
I think the takeaway is that 99% of our households live on less than $150,000 gross annually – which a Barfly pointed out after taxes, cars, and other fixed costs leaves a relatively meager discretionary income.
Note Americans always use gross income as a measure not net income. That $150,000 nets out to around $5,000/month net as Europeans measure (after taxes and insurances). That’s a pittance when rent for a 2 bedroom apartment in a not so good neighborhood is $2,500/month and every household needs 2 cars.

My search for some level of reality between the Mainstream Media and Mainstream Alternative Media with respect to COVID. The prognosis is not pretty, especially for the West COVID: The Reality Between The MSM and MSAM Bullshit
COVID’s biggest challenge is its long-term deleterious systemic effects (heart, lungs, brain etc.), as well as its ability to dis-regulate the immune system. Made worse in the West by the utterly stupid “all clear” and the reliance on unproven MRNA gene therapies that do not stop reinfection; in many ways they make things worse by reducing the short term symptoms and thus facilitating reinfection after reinfection. As well as the vaccine injuries and possible vaccine-induced immune system dis-regulation. A recipe for an ongoing reduction in the health and physical and mental effectiveness of the general population.

New York City Bank (NYCB) stock down 42% today after it raised the possibility of selling stock to raise its capital levels. its now priced at $1.86 and valued at US$2.33 billion – this is a bank with a balance sheet of over US$100 billion. If its too toxic for the likes of Warren Buffet, then the Fed will have to engineer another state-financed takeover or bailout.
One of the reasons that the Fed Governor was so dovish in his testimony to Congress today, he understands the massive lending exposures that the banks built up during the years and years of near zero interest rates. Better to get rates down so that the banks’ bond portfolios recover a bit and the bad loan crisis is not further exacerbated. Even as Congress creates greater and greater government deficits and inflation re-raises its ugly head and the stock market bubbles upwards. Welcome to probable stagflation!
All the way to election day.

Thank you very much B(!!) for sharing your thoughtful, well informed analyses, your concern for the US & the world, & for having this extremely valuable forum.
I hate to say the following – because it’s so vulgar – but it seems this should be said:
The current western government appears to be run by totally nightmarish, obnoxious, illiterate, vulgar traitors – who have no respect for the rule of law or our constitution, who are perhaps much more interested in giving & receiving BJs, in pleasing their AIPAC handlers, & staying in power, than they are in serving the people. “Intelligence” that salutes & supports such crappers, is not real intelligence. It’s something else.
While that is very sickening, as many here already know, the very idea of
1) endless wars created & maintained with huge lies & dirty tricks; &
2) backing flagrant genocide in Palestine w/bombs & billions –> (both of which are massive crimes against humanity, having already caused more needless suffering than can be measured), IS extremely vulgar & totally & absolutely insane.
If there was ever a time for everyone with some courage & integrity to take action that will help bring on significant changes for the better – to take us away from the abyss, it is NOW! The old men in power, who have been acting like filthy, dirty rats & toads, are surely hoping that everyone will be too pathetic & cowardly to stand against them & their ongoing crimes against humanity. We must find ways to prove them wrong!

New York City Bank (NYCB) raised a very small US$1 billion (a US$100 billion deteriorating balance sheet!) at US$2 a share, it may give it a bit of a buffer to keep it going for a while but probably just putting off the inevitable day of reckoning. The other regional bank shares rallied a bit on the news, the can kicked down the road for a while longer. The Fed will oblige by not raising rates, or even cutting them, in the face of rampant government spending, a bubbleicious stock market and returning inflation.

Scorpion, may I suggest that you take as your starting point for research into the veracity or accuracy of the “Holodomor” the date/point at which the term was coined, where it was coined, and by whom it was coined.
I think that will answer a lot of your questions if you care to read between the lines.

Well, my main point, or interest, is that, rightly or wrongly, many people both in Ukraine and internationally, had strong opinions about the Russian/Communist regime not only based on mendacious ‘anti-communist’ propaganda as so many claim. Indeed, many were understandably scared that the same thing might happen to them if communists were voted into power in their own countries. So whether or not they were right to so fear doesn’t change the historical fact that they did so fear and with reason given how many were murdered and starved to death, whether by malice and/or ineptitude.
Gareth Jones, for example, wasn’t a rabid anti-communist. He had many friendly conversations with Bolsheviks and other officials, including Lenin’s widow, and loved the people and country. However, he became highly critical of the first 5-year plan and blamed its overly ideological, draconian approach for the famines. A collection of his writing is here: https://www.garethjones.org/soviet_articles/soviet_articles.htm
He has a clear writing-style and all his articles are short and to the point. Good friends with Lloyd George. Barely a handful of anglophone reporters actually on the ground in Russia back then. He was a real reporter who interviewed hundreds of Russians, sometimes walking from village to village and sleeping in barns with the peasants etc..
I personally don’t care whether or not the event is labelled Holodomor, though it now works in that everyone knows to what event it refers. It is mainly a controversy because some feel it detracts from the tribe’s Holocaust narrative.

The ICJ in The Hague issued a ruling about South Africa’s case against (supposedly) “genocide” in Israel. This ruling already had made some remarkable changes in behaviour.
– Blinken (and the US) no longer use the words “rules based world order”. It seems the US is now fearing that even the US will be dragged before the ICJ to be accused of “offenses against the rule based world order”. These words “Rules based world order” are now able to used against the US.
– Officers and soldiers of the IDF are no longer posting videos on internet with words that can prove/confirm the notion of “Israeli performing genocide in Gaza”.
– Hezbollah has already launched attacks on Haifa & Asdot. The port of Eilat (Gulf of Aqaba) is already closed.
Seems the ruling of the ICJ DOES have a positive impact on the behaviour of a number of people.

Terror Threat? NYC Mobilizing 1,000 National Guard Troops In Subways
the quote

What’s puzzling – is if the only threats were violent criminals and migrants, why deploy the National Guard? The NYPD is fully capable of increasing its presence and flooding subway stations with officers. This raises the possibility that the threat is more significant than just migrants, potentially hinting at terrorism-related concerns.
It was only days ago when the Federal Bureau of Investigation released new information about a rogue Iranian intelligence officer planning assassination attempts on former and current US government officials.
Calling in the National Guard for civil disturbance doesn’t make sense. This also suggests that whatever threat has spooked NY and NYC officials could be much greater than what the NYPD can handle.
The threat could be related to Iran and a possible upsurge in attack vectors during the US presidential election.

Got FEAR?……the shit show continues until it doesn’t.

“Gaza’s Al-Zaytoun turned into ‘Merkava cemetery'” (?????)

Israel needs to recuit/draft more soldiers. Orthodox jews/israelis were exempt from military duty. But it seems the IDF needs more soldiers and that’s why the IDF wants to get rid of these exemptions and draft these orthodox israelis/jews into the IDF. Or is the IDF expanding the army for the attack on southern Lebanon ?

On Terrorism at the Time of Elections in the West.
I started this on the Ukraine topic but probably better here.
Gladio already underway?
‘ 🇷🇺 A terrorist attack has been prevented in Karelia: a citizen of Belarus from the nationalist “Kalinouski Regiment” planned to detonate an administrative building in Olonets, according to the FSB.
The man was recruited by Ukrainian special services and, upon apprehension, opened fire on special service personnel and was neutralized. There were no casualties among security forces and civilians.
The terrorist had a bomb seized from him, made from explosive material of British manufacture and an American detonator, as well as a pistol and ammunition.

This as Russia reaches the end of the electioneering period with VVP talking to Carlson, many interviews, the Youth of the World , and visiting factories and hanging out with female pilots, he could an old fashioned western campaigner kissing babies etc
Russia goes to the polls to give VVP a massive majority support in his final term and endorsed him as a ‘wartime’ leader. Following which he will have Carte Blanche to escalate. In association with the POLYCENTRIC partners of course.
Whether the British and American components as shown in the video of the terrorist are actually indicative of our direct involvement is currently un proved – the terrorist died in a shoot out apparently – so can’t testify about who was directing him.
I do know that we have been ‘treated’ to ‘terrorist attacks’ and other diversions during our last two general elections , aimed to throw people’s attention from the Labour manifestos at the time. I don’t doubt they were part of British and US deployments of Pompus arsed Gauntlet- to stop Corbyn at any cost.
Otherwise this long planned catastrophic war and the Covid bootfilling would not have happened. We may even have been talking to the polycenterists as willing partners instead of being dragged out of our unipolar imperial global supremacy , threatening mass extermination to remain a Golden Billion hegemons.
We in the U.K. are also soon going to have our pantomime general election – unless some great escalation makes it ‘impossible’.
Shelensky is about to assume full dictatorial status having already cancelled much of the opposition and elections.
The Yankee move towards a defacto dictatorship proceeds too – there is only one ‘eligible’ candidate it seems.
Whether that means an end of the highly dysfunctional US ‘system’ is to be seen.
Unable to manage checks and balance with wholesale political appointees with each new Administration and a built in revolving door between civil servants / military and the major money suckers of public spending, has rendered that experimental system as a criminal enterprise within a couple of centuries. Well it was born of Zionists financial barons imperialism so was bound to corruption from its first day.
Meanwhile it seems that the RF has hit its Springtime after a tumultuous re-birth – the people’s largely united , the young educated and enthused about their prospects , not feeling the need to ‘escape’ to the ‘free West’ and our dog eat dog culture.
So much so that the only thing the widow Navalny , who didn’t visit him once in the last two years does is calls for some ‘flash mobs’ to disrupt voting !
Get that – DISRUPT – democracy!
That says it all about the Collective Wastes pretend democracy with selected candidates and uniparties owned and controlled by the same global robber barons.
The Global South along with their mentors China and Russia have had revealed to them the bare arsed cheeky Emperors of the West for the frauds they are.
It seems it’s only us Westerners , who still cheered on by our Media Barons daily eye watering propaganda, to exclaim the greatest democratic cloth that our leaders wear and it’s only the stupid who can’t see that!
The dystopian Orwellian propaganda is complete – how many fingers can you see?

I won’t go through all that is wrong by omitting facts from this NY Times article by Tom Friedman, but W43 tropes are still alive: over there, so, not over here. We are an empire.
Thomas Friedman: Inside America’s shadow war with Iran

The best case for U.S. forces remaining in eastern Syria, Iraq and the Red Sea is precisely so that the disorder “over there” — from the likes of the Islamic State group, failed states like Syria and the eating away of nation-states by Iranian proxy militias — doesn’t come “over here.”

Don’t worry pooch – the caravan still moves regardless of your constant barking.
With your steadfast loyal rush to support the agit prophet you yet again have shown your Crown credentials. As I stated in my post , the ones who are upset by my stating the facts – FACTS, nafo pooch, not fantasy – will pick on something and ignore the many other bits.
Looks like you, couldn’t help yourself and proved my prediction instantly.
Did you ignore the whole RCP stuff? His support of unionism instead of Independence for Scotland? His multiple constituencies, where he leveraged largely corrupt local Labour Muslim councillors control of votes? Have you ever watched his interviews? Where his body language easily betrayed his cover. At RT he is treated with a largesse by his employers -knowing that he is actually adding to the infamy of that channel- and they don’t give a flying fuck. They know that he uses it to entrap others who can be pilloried by the western governments for having appeared on that channel and taken the Russian Rouble.
Because they know the games the west plays.
And it’s better to embrace your enemy. Sputnik is better, but for real meat there are many other channels.
I’ll let people make up their own minds , like I did.
Keep barking , you and your various nafo mongrels around these boards – for sure posterity will show you for what you were – and wipe that smirk of your face too, soldier!

You’re an obnoxious arrogant old fool. A conspiratorial nutter living in fantasy land. A typical cheap and nasty abusive internet troll too boot. Whoopie shit, you can throw insults at people all you want – you want a medal or a chest to pin on it on big mouth? With nothing of value to offer anyone with a functioning mind, I’m calling you out. Fock Off. (shrug)

Lol. Mutt. You describe yourself and MO totally as expected of your motley crews scripts – that is pure Projection.
Just like the MoD daily producing
Gotcha! Again. Dumb fish.
I asked you and others to deal with the FACTS about Gorgeous George’s miracle (not his first) and the nature of the Constituency (Rochdale) and how it is that the Zionist leadership of the Labour Party have booted out a candidate selected by the local party because he is not one of their choices.
And how they have connived with the Tories and LibDems and local councillors to neutralise that local candidate forced to stand as an Independent- and would have won had the organised , ballots delivered by local Muslim leaders not been handed to GG instead.
GG, like yourself and other sock puppets around here is not the messiah – you are all very naughty boys (mostly as far as I can see) – the 88th,ii and fascist scum who daily propagandise Narratives and scripts stand out like sore thumbs.
So bring it big brave woofter , let’s dance.
