Yeah, about that “brought hostages home” BS of Blinken’s: It seems every week there is another story like this one, where Israel re-arrests Palestinians it had previously released during the hostage exchanges. They also frequently target the released hostage’s family later on and kill some of them or arrest some of them.
I don’t think it counts as a “hostage release” if Israel just re-arrests or kills them a week or two later.

The Israeli army has re-arrested 11 Palestinian children and women released in November as part of a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, the Prisoners Affairs Commission said on Tuesday.
The arrests were made across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

I read that comment, and it immediately seized upon me that this is likely a profoundly important point.
I had read (possibly here) of someone researching all of the historical maps of Palestine, proof positive that it was certainly NO “land without a people”, by any stretch of the imagination. I wonder how deelyp he has drilled into these title deed records, if at all.
I’d love to know if title deeds are being researched, if it’s reported anywhere, and what can be done to keep these families/bloodlines with proveable ownership safe from the Zionazis.

– Hezbollah and Iran wants a war of attrition that will gradually undermine Israel.
– Israel isn’t able to sustain a prolonged war of attrition. But that’s precisely what Hezbollah, Iran and the iraqi government does want: a war of attrition (where have we seen that before ? In the Ukraine anyone ?)
– Hamas has blown an israeli myth to pieces. The myth is that Israel is a safe place to be for all jews. And that they have a right to all the benefits (water, electricity, etc.) that a modern society can offer. But israeli citizens have been evacuated from the north of Israel. To secure that position israel will always react with overwhelming force. Hezbollah has created a bufferzone in northern Israel but now Israel wants to create a buffer zone in the south of Lebanon. Te re-establish that feeling of security Israel simply needs to deal a heavy blow to Hezbollah.
– Hezbollah and the iraqi Hezbollah can escalate / intensify the firing of rockets at will. Both organisations have buried their weapons underground.
– Hezbollah is able to fire rockets at the southern city of Eilat.
– Israel now has 5 brigades in the north of Israel instead of 1 brigade. Yoav Gallant: we will increase the level of firepower against Hezbollah even if there is a cease fire in Gaza.
