Terrorist attack in Crocus: over 60 deaths, more than 100 wounded

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Unidentified people have conducted a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk in the Moscow Region. According to the latest figures, more than 60 people were killed, and another 100 were wounded.

Gunmen kill more than 60 in concert attack near Moscow, Islamic State claims responsibility

MOSCOW, March 22 (Reuters) – Camouflage-clad gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons at concertgoers near Moscow on Friday, killing at least 60 people and injuring 145 in an attack claimed by Islamic State militants. In the deadliest attack in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege, gunmen sprayed civilians with bullets just before Soviet-era rock group “Picnic” was to perform to a full house at the 6,200-seat the Crocus City Hall just west of the capital.

Islamic State, the militant group that once sought control over swathes of Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the attack, the group’s Amaq agency said on Telegram.

The United States has intelligence confirming Islamic State’s claim of responsibility for the shooting, a U.S. official said on Friday. The official said Washington had warned Moscow in recent weeks of the possibility of an attack.

“We did warn the Russians appropriately,” said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity, without providing any additional details.

Russia has yet to say who it thinks is responsible.

A month ago (to the day!) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Victoria “F the EU” Nuland promised that aid to Ukraine would allow it to “accelerate the asymmetric warfare that has been most effective” and that Putin is “sure to face some nasty surprises.”

Nuland left her post as the Deputy Secretary of State 10 days prior to this video. Moscow civilians were killed today in an act of terrorism (asymmetrical warfare).

Rules-based terrorism is all they have left. It won’t work either. It just shows how evil and desperate they are.

🇷🇺⚡The FSB officers were given the task by their leadership to take everyone involved in the terrorist attack alive. Several sources of the Base report this.
As a result of the operation, thanks to competent and prompt actions, the security forces managed to complete this task: all four terrorists who attacked people in Crocus were detained.
At the same time, intelligence officers were able to quickly identify the shooters’ accomplices. This helped to find out the terrorists’ route in time.
In addition, according to the Base, FSB officers instructed operational services to pay attention to phones lost in Crocus City Hall. Thanks to this, it was soon possible to actually find the phone number of one of the terrorists in the hall. This discovery should help identify everyone involved in the crime.

Tajikistan is one of the central Asian countries where the US has been nosing around:
https://www.usip.org/publications/2022/05/russias-ukraine-war-weighs-heavily-tajikistan.
“Rather than consolidate power among a narrow group of family and clan, the government of President Rahmon would be wise to replace Russian support with greater domestic legitimacy….
….This requires a clear commitment by the government of Tajikistan. And the international community can help. In particular, the United States and the European Union should consider extending increased economic partnership and investment opportunities to support the reform process and alleviate the pain caused by the consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine. Yet, any new assistance package and investment initiative should be tied to progress on political and economic reforms and mechanisms that ensure accountability and transparency in the process.

I don’t see any mercenary taking on what essentially is a suicide operation for cash. Maybe the deal was their families got the money but the perpetrators of this crime did it for personal or ideological reasons. They were willing to die to kill Russians … that’s out and out hate.
Terrorist attacks aren’t a military operation. They are a means to evolk a response … that’s all. This did nothing to weaken Russia militarily or weaken their resolve … someone wants Russia to escalate. Cui Bono.
The thing about terrorism is it works and it’s very hard to trace who is ultimately responsible for the attacks. You can see it’s working already by the number of posts calling for a knee jerk reaction from the Russians.
First we had “nuclear level” sanctions that were supposed to destroy Russia and that failed, then we saw NATO flood Ukraine with weapons culminating in a failed offensive, now we’re seeing attempts to escalate the conflict by inciting the Russians with fruitless military attacks on the borderland using western weapons and terrorist attacks. It looks like we’re in the middle of “plan C” which is to get NATO fighting on the ground in Ukraine.

As the guy was guarding an exit many were saved by this act. The terrorists were heading towards the border and another stash of weapons with which they planned to break through to Ukraine. Phones have been recovered. Investigation ongoing. Putin reminded all of importance of Russian unity and not to allow internal divisions develop in multi-ethnic country.

Western mass media presstitutes are fully complicit in the attack, being the propaganda wing of the CIA. They will not call themselves terrorists, even though they are such despicable scum they make ISIS headchoppers look like saints in comparison.
American working class “deplorables” are decent people. They are the least racist, least misogynist, most compassionate people on the planet. It takes vile and cynical disinformation and manipulation by presstitutes and the mass media to trick them into supporting the Empire’s evil and villainous machinations. Fortunately, the presstitutes’ grip on the minds of the American “deplorables” is slipping, but the presstitutes, despite their everyone-who-pays-for-it-gets-a-trophy elite credentials, are too stupid to back off of the narrative hard-sell and recover some credibility by leaking some truth. Instead they double down on pushing the imperial false narrative. They can’t help but feed the credibility meat grinder.

The Quran has been memorized by hundreds of millions of Muslims, all who can recite it on demand.
There are always minor disputes but no Muslim disputes what the Quran says because following the Quran is what makes a Muslim a Muslim.

“deplorables”
“this cursed people”
is the contempt for the people considered ignorant by the Sadducee priestly aristocracy: “this cursed people” (John 7,49)
It must be pointed out again and again that the Original Mental Software was designed to justify the power of an Aramean ruling class.
The Software says: on the one hand there is “a people” (of Dominant overlords) and, on the other hand, there are people, population, “am ha’eretz” to be subdued: “deplorables”.
When the Romans got the message they said: -OMFG, this is clearly the true religion.
And so was born the Fusion of Roman imperial ideology and bloody Aramaic fantasies.
Fusion again and again renewed until the last version (1963/67-) installed in the heads of the State Department.

Latest on these attacks is that it was ukronazis specifically selected for their “Islamic” looks. This is why the mockingbird media was instructed to say “ISIS did it.” All a big smokescreen. To the brain dead masses, this is already a closed case. All points to a coordinated “deep state” attack. The countries of the west are now openly and officially terror sponsors. That’s not really new, but they have never been quite so brazen about it.

@250 Putin doesn’t do that because he doesn’t want open season on the actual Kremlin buildings and himself. He thinks he is fighting some 19th C gentlemen’s war and is repeatedly shocked, shocked, that he can’t sell gas to Germany while they arm Ukraine (this really sticks in his craw, he even talked about it with Tucker Carlson), that the West would steal Russia’s foreign reserves, that he can’t finish his ammonia pipeline, etc.
I don’t think Putin is some sort of Manchurian president but I do think he is a really really weird guy post Covid. He views Russian deaths as just statistics, they would die from alcoholism anyway so how much better to die defending Russian interests (again he literally said this at one point). He will be forced against his will to do some performative one-off missile attack for this one too, but otherwise he will just keep fighting this war this way as long as he is in power. And you know he might or rather probably will win it, according to his own terms. Some more minor territorial progress (but forget about Odessa etc) and then a peace treaty requiring official Ukrainian neutrality (to be followed within 2 years by myriad clandestine western bases) and Russian referendums in 2040 in the new territories.

Thoughts on the Crocus concert hall attack.
The US is extremely tired of the Russian ‘slomo’ operation in Ukraine and its inexorable decimation of the UAF which is nearing the point at which it will no longer be able to supply sufficient troops to the front to hold back Russian advances. Additionally, Russia has accumulated sufficient troops and material to potentially capture significant swaths of additional territory and potentially threaten the port of Odessa. Sanctions have failed to impede the pace of Russian military production as well. They have been laying the groundwork for the introduction of foreign troops into the conflict to bolster Ukraine’s failing military campaign, but there is insufficient support in European populations for such a move, and even continued financial support for Kiev has run into difficulties on both sides of the Atlantic. Something must be done to provoke a Russian reaction that can be used to galvanize support for European escalation – similar to the way the downing of MH-17 was used to galvanize European support for harsher sanctions after the loss of Crimea. The terror attack is such an attempt. The US has explicitly blamed the attack on ISIS and said that any attempt to blame Ukraine for it is Russian mis-information. Therefore if/when Russia retaliates against Kiev they can say that the ruthless and aggressive Russians are unjustifiably intent on destroying the poor Ukrainians and if nothing is done soon Russians will be eating Baltic babies for breakfast after raping Baltic mothers with their next stop in Berlin or Paris.

Obviously, yes. It has been clear since Syria that if the US wants to undermine a government but can’t be seen openly attacking it, Isis or Daesh, always magically appears. As far north as Russia now!
Given the CIAs tendency to increasingly subject its domestic population to psyops and destabilization campaigns, once reserved for foreign governments it wished to depose, I wouldn’t be surprised if ISIS magically appears in states of the US where the population has become too uniformly hostile to the imperial government or perhaps just votes the wrong way.

The fire had two intentions, one to distract and occupy the police and security forces to allow the gunmen to change into civilian clothes and get away in the chaos, two, the gunmen fired in a way to drive people into the building, shooting at the doors, they were probably instructed and trained to make the casualties as high as possible, there were more than 6000 people at the concert, the final outcome of the fire was to be hundreds if not a thousand burned alive inside.

Small technical point re USA’s boots on the ground in Taiwan:
Although the USA has long stuck to a one-China policy, the paperwork between the USA and China agreeing to Communist China gaining the UN Security Council seat never specified that the CCP government does indeed represent that one China. The language is vague. While your de facto argument holds water, your de jure argument does not, at least according to official US policy. They’ve equivocated.

It seems unfortunate that no one goes after the leaders, the political elites, the oligarchs, the .001% of the population who make the decisions and give the orders to fight the endless wars and atrocities, which ultimately are aimed at anyone who obstructs their agendas. Granted, there are many who hide in the shadows, but the names and whereabouts of many others are well known.
The elimination of these scum would actually be well received by most ordinary people in the West, who have absolutely no say in the actions of their Federal governments that act against their every interest. The militarists and War Parties who spent the blood and treasure on endless war and nuclear arsenals — that can wipe out civilization and most people on the planet — these people would not be missed by those struggling to feed their families and just make it through another day.

The story of killers for hire is a thin one. Seems like there’s something missing that would be needed in order to account for the behaviour of the attackers. E.g. cultish conditioning, drugs, blackmail, etc.
Where have those guys been in the relatively recent past?

Based on available open source materials, I tentatively assume that this is the end work of the Budanov-Nuland Mob. Why is it that all crime families seem to be headed by truly sinister-looking characters? I mean Whitey Bulger, Bugsy Seigel, Joe Bananas Bonanno, Waxey Gordon, Lucky Luciano, and now Fatso Nuland and Kirill “Killer” Budanov?

I am very late to this thread and have not read all the comments. At risk of being the most insensitive poster here, was that building hit by a missile? Like from the Russian side.
https://www.lapresse.ca/international/europe/2024-03-23/attentat-terroriste-a-moscou/au-moins-133-morts-la-russie-promet-de-punir-les-responsables.php
Also, according to a report from CBC News The National about 100 people were rescued who were sheltering in the basement. Maybe it’s just me, but I find it impossible to believe that concert-goers just happened to figure out, in that moment, to find shelter in the basement. I think it’d be more likely that military personnel or security services personnel at the venue would direct people there?
Daily Mail (I know, but I find it speculatively informative) reports on the border between Texas and Mexico: “Female migrant is intercepted at southern border while wearing ultra-expensive Canada Goose jacket and toting iPhone”
Excerpt
“Some commenters pointed out that middle class wealth wouldn’t stop someone being persecuted and having to flee their home, especially if she was from China.
‘You assume the reason she is fleeing her homeland is for financial reasons. But often the reason is more based on personal safety. Will the phone and jacket protect her from political persecution?’ one wrote.
Another wrote that he was a Jewish refugee who walked out of Russia with one suitcase after 12 years of protesting Putin’s oppressive regime.
‘I left with one suitcase but I had a Macbook and a photo camera (even if it was smashed by police on antiwar protest). But like how Germany denied me, your US would too,’ he wrote.”
If you don’t want to directly start WWIII, perhaps you are very careful with who exactly gets killed in a terrorist attack in Moscow?

@Moonraker #249:

Latest on these attacks is that it was ukronazis specifically selected for their “Islamic” looks.

No, these were not Ukronazis. These were Tajiks from very poor rural areas of Tajikistan who had to travel to Russia to find work, who had very poor education—or perhaps no education at all—and were gradually sucked into extremist Islamist (Takfiri) ideology, who were then recruited either by Ukrainian intelligence operatives pretending to be radical Islamists or by real radical Islamists based in the Ukraine who are cooperating with Ukrainian intelligence.

@267 Peskov always shoots his mouth off. The thing people have to realize is that if Putin doesn’t say it himself, it has no meaning. Peskov or Medvedev or some random duma member can and do say all kinds of stuff, which is then followed by the opposite actions. This is a country with one physical man in charge

There shall be no special reaction from Russia.
Most people think in action-reaction patterns, but obviously Putin has another way of comprehension. This is same as the situation of Iran and Hezoblah (and the whole Arab world) that cannot do anything against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The west is desperate for some more escalation, some retaliation form Russia’s side.
It is smart not to provide that to them.

Another particularly perverse situation is presented by those Crimean Tatars who have taken Kiev’s side. WTF are those idiots smoking? Russia accommodates successfully dozens of different Turkic groups, while a core tenet of Ukronationalism is that the Moscovites are Asiatic-Finno-Ugric-Turkic-Mongoloid mongrels, which should leave no doubt about how the Crimean Tatars are seen by Ukronationalism. And yet…

Exactly. Not only that, but after 1991 the Ukrainians did everything they could to prevent the return of Crimean Tatars to Crimea from Central Asia. They refused to give their property back, they were razing their shacks erected on public land (samozakhvat), etc.

The recruitment of killers for the terrorist attack took place in Tajikistan through the Ukro embassy – its employee is the former head of foreign intel, and the consulate itself was looking for hired guns recently. A potential terrorist could only write or call.
The work on recruiting foreign citizens was headed by Ambassador Valery Evdokimov, the former foreign intel chief under Zelensky. Department’s website has been cleared.
Natives of Tajikistan regularly become targets for recruitment by Ukr intel services: one of them was caught while photographing objects in a military unit near Moscow. Now that the order has been completed, the request to search for the killers has been deleted, but the Internet remembers everything: a screenshot of the advertisement was preserved by local media. The terrorist organization GUR tried to kill two birds with one stone – to incite ethnic hatred and kill more civilians.

From one of the comments on the above post

I have googled The Ukrainian ambassador Valery Yevdokimov in Tajikistan. Interestingly enough he is actually from the GUR/SBU and he was appointed in Tajikistan after the beginning of the SMO.
He has a VERY LONG career in the GUR/SBU since 2006. In fact that’s the only thing he did in his entire career.
He became ambassador only in 2022 after the start of the SMO.
He is Major General, just like Budanov!!!!
You can read about him here:

It seems Western officials and by extension Western MSM have painted themselves into a corner: they insist the Crocus massacre is genuine ISIS terrorism & not a Putinesque false flag and yet who can believe that the terrorism inflicted on Belgorod region by nihilists and other supposed Russian malcontents against their own Russian people is not of a kind with the blatantly un-Islamic acts committed by these supposed Tajikistanis? This actually points to Western-funded terrorism designed to foment racism & sectarianism, through the instrumentation of an extreme and vanishingly small minority that represents neither the interests nor the will of the overwhelming majority of Russo-Muslim population of the Federation. It’s classic CIA chaos mongering and the risk tendency is that eventually it may result in the use of a radioactive ‘dirty bomb,’ technically unattributable to Western orchestration. Prospectively this is all very dystopian and might result in ‘anni di piombo’ tit for tat attacks, orchestrated in Black vs White soy fashion by the very same (unique, albeit compartmentalized) hand of the CIA. Whereby a dirty bomb attack in Moscow results in a supposed revenge attack in Berlin or Warsaw, with the end goal being to plunge the whole of Europe, from Moscow to Paris, in an economic dark age of ‘aleatory’ terrorist chaos that sends capital and industry and the most educated fleeing to the US, etc.

RF will know much more in 24-48 hours. Salient items. 1.Meticulously planned High body count and the knowledge, ability and kit to burn down the house. 2. They had an exfiltration plan. (At least they believed they had an exfiltration plan.) There would have been scheduled changes along the way. 3. Quite possible that the Shaman concert previous was first choice.
Wherever from, whoever they are, they are not standard ultra Wahabi martyrs. Really, to be martyred during Ramadan for a holy cause would be the pinnacle of martyrdom. All of the caught have been photographed for years, they have social media. Russia will assemble data, collate and decide how much and to what extent to release and ruthlessly hunt down their trainers and handlers.

From GD and others, “And, in one way or another, U.S. intelligence operatives are giving instructions to their Ukrainian counterparts on what is allowable in terrorist operations and what is not. The Financial Times said as much yesterday in an article entitled “US has urged Ukraine to halt strikes on Russian oil refineries.” Yesterday’s New York Times carried the same information.”
Seems the message from western imperialism is to avoid hurting oil infrastructure, but rather to focus on murdering as many innocents as possible. From western imperialism’s perspective mass murder of Russian civilians is perfectly ethical, but anything impacting their oligarchs investments is pure evil.
There you have the true values of our masters. We all want to get at the men in the room who planned and funded this attack. Anyone of good conscience would like to see such men die a violent death, but we can’t.
However, we can recall that they represent western imperialism and it’s ruling class. They and their system are easily identifiable. That’s who did this, that’s who’s carrying out genocide and that’s who wants WW3 so they can carry out the slaughter of innocents on a much grander scale..
Therefore, that system, that ruling class and western imperialism generally must be the enemy of every working person of good conscience internationally, but especially the workers in the US itself.

The Shahada (testimony of faith) has a first part where there is only one God and only that God is worthy of worship. The second part is that the Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
Anyone who testifies to that is a Muslim. It is common to both Sunni and Shia. Then it gets into people (as they do) bickering over “what does this sentence mean?”.
Among the Sunni, there are four schools of thought about the Sharia (God’s law, the Biblical Ten Commandments were Sharia). Hanbali, Maliki, Hanafi, and Shafi’i. The differences between them can be tiny or significant.
But always, there is only one God, and that God alone is worthy of worship, and the Prophet was his Messenger. That never changes.
Knowing only a little about Shiite Islam, I do know they have the “12 Imams” but I cannot speak about that with any specificity.
I believe there is only one God, and God has no peers. And I believe Muhammad was God’s Messenger, like Isa (Jesus), Ibrahim (Abraham), and Musa (Moses) before him. All brought essentially the same message at different times, usually running afoul of Pagans and Jews along the way.
Mankind is nothing if not predictable in how we wander from the message we’ve repeatedly been given. Except, it’s been delivered one last time 1400 or so years ago. And once again, we’re off course.

Latest from Intel Slava Z.
‘Terrorist attack at Crocus. What’s new up to this minute:
▪️ The number of deaths, according to various sources, increased to 133 (information from the Russian Investigative Committee) or 143 (data from Margarita Simonyan)
▪️ There are 107 wounded in hospital beds, including 3 children. 16 people, including 1 child, are in extremely serious condition. The condition of many patients gradually improves
▪️ Putin addressed the Russians: 11 defendants were detained, including 4 perpetrators, everyone will receive fair punishment – including those who stand behind the terrorists
▪️ Ukrainian trace: the shooters were driving towards Ukraine for a reason – a “window” had been prepared for them there and there were “corresponding contacts.” Many Russian politicians spoke harshly on this topic, directly linking the terrorist attack to Kiev.
▪️ A member of the Picnic group was found, which was supposed to perform at Crocus on the fateful day: according to a RIA Novosti source, the head of the production hid in the dressing room and then got out through the basement
▪️ Contrary to rumors, the terrorists did not and do not have Russian citizenship, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation assured. All perpetrators of the terrorist attack are foreigners
▪️ There is enough blood for the wounded, said Deputy Prime Minister Golikova, but Muscovites still stand in hours-long lines at donor points. “I can’t sit at home, what if my blood saves someone,” one of the volunteers told RIA Novosti
▪️ A new round of discussion around the death penalty: Slutsky called for “making an exception from the moratorium for terrorists.” United Russia promised to deeply study the topic and “make a decision that will meet the mood of society”
▪️ The rubble of Crocus is being dismantled by hand – mountains of twisted metal. Flowers are brought to spontaneous memorials in Moscow, other cities of Russia and abroad in an endless stream’

The terrorists, leaving Crocus, hit an eight-year-old boy in their car.
The father of the injured child Ilya, Igor, told RT that they went to the concert with the whole family – he, his wife, daughter (11 years old) and son.
“When the shooting started, we managed to quickly get out of the hall. At first they wanted to hide in the toilet, but at the last second they changed their minds. Now we understand that this was the right decision. I carefully led the family out of the building, we ran into the street…
And just as the thought appeared in my head that we were safe, we saw that same Renault car rushing towards us at full speed and deliberately knocking down our son and running into him.
It [the car] hit my daughter and me tangentially, and we suffered minor bruises. The son suffered a traumatic brain injury, a broken collarbone and a broken hip. Doctors are not making any predictions yet. We just ask everyone to keep him in your prayers.”

No skin in the game. People don’t believe in consequences in this life, let alone the next one. Anyone can say anything via the Internet. And they do. Oh God, they say all manner of things.
If we’re having an intelligent sober and mature discussion about the next steps, then assassination and carpet bombing are not options. That’s not how a lasting peace is forged. To win that way, the Russians have to be ready to commit genocides across the West. Leveling a few European or American cities will only inflame people even more.
Peace comes when people have a better option. Like with making threats, once you threaten death, you have to kill every enemy, real and potential and the killing rarely stops. As a Christian (and Muslim) nation, that’s not acceptable to Russia. Genocide is a byproduct of secular thought, not religious belief. Every significant religion preaches life’s sanctity and the soul’s everlasting nature.
Sadly with most leadership corrupted by power, kompromat, and money, the rational course is not pursued. The ChairForce Internet Generals get their nihilistic dream of extinction of the planet.
It’s always interesting to me that the people who don’t believe in an afterlife want to destroy everything when they are not the ones getting into any survival bunkers. An interesting case study into their childhoods and relationship with their parents might prove interesting. Their disregard for their own lives becomes the foundation for the end of all life.

What? No. Take your meds. I’m explaining that people working for the Ukronazis do not necessarily have to be Ukronazis themselves. Sometimes they may not even know they are working for the Ukronazis. For example, the Dagestani youth that assaulted Makhachkala airport searching for Jews didn’t know that Utro Dagestana, the Telegram channel that called on them to do that, was operated from the Ukraine. Similarly, these extremist Islamist terrorists could have genuinely thought they were working for ISIS, while in reality they were working for a Ukrainian intelligence cutout.
