They Finally Killed Navalny …

The creation of this news item was suspiciously well timed …

Putin must pay for ‘murder’ of Navalny, say world leaders Telegraph, Feb 17, 2022

Speaking at the White House, Joe Biden said the Russian president was “responsible” for the death of Mr Navalny, while David Cameron, the Foreign Secretary, said: “Putin’s Russia fabricated charges against him, poisoned him, sent him to an arctic penal colony and now he has tragically died.

“Putin should be accountable for what has happened. No one should doubt the dreadful nature of his regime.”

Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, said Mr Navalny had been “slowly murdered by President Putin and his regime, who fear nothing more than dissent from their own people”.

Mr Biden, who in 2021 promised “devastating” consequences should Mr Navalny die in jail, said he was considering a “whole number of options” in response.

He urged Republican lawmakers to pass a $95 billion dollar aid package for Ukraine that has stalled after its approval in the senate, saying “history is watching.”

Asked whether Mr Navalny’s death would convince Republican leaders to drop their opposition to the bill, he said: “I hope to god it helps.”

Mr Navalny’s wife urged the international community to punish Putin for her husband’s death as she received the news shortly before taking the floor at a conference in Munich.

What an amazing coincidence that Navalny's wife happened to be attending the Munich Security Conference this weekend, giving her a world stage just at the right moment… Wow!

🇩🇪🇷🇺🚨‼️ Navalny’s wife like a grieving widow, broke down in tears in Munich?

Nah, she smiled, held a speech and (was) showered in applause.

Let me guess she’s the new opposition leader? The story writes itself.

🇷🇺🇩🇪🚨‼️ BREAKING: Navalny’s wife is at the Munich Security Conference and holds a speech:

That day will come very soon!” Embedded video

Lets remind ourselves of a few issues which showed that nothing in the alleged Navalny 'poisoning' case was as it seemed:

Russians With Attitude @RWApodcast – 12:56 UTC · Feb 16, 2024

The most bizarre part of Navalny's story is when he got poisoned and a mysterious British citizen – Maria Pevchikh – appeared out of nowhere. Nobody knew who she was. She collected the water bottles allegedly containing novichok and brought them to Germany. It was revealed that she had been secretly running the investigative department of Navalny's organization all along.

The funny thing is… nobody knew about her before the poisoning happened. And things only got worse from there on for Alexey. Coma, slow recovery, arrest, prison and death.

Around anglos, never relax
Image

There are many other details that make the alleged Poisoning of Alexei Navalny a rather curious issue:

On 20 August 2020, Russian opposition figure and anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny was poisoned with Novichok nerve agent and was hospitalized in serious condition. During a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, he became ill and was taken to a hospital in Omsk after an emergency landing there, and put in a coma. He was evacuated to the Charité hospital in Berlin, Germany, two days later. The use of the nerve agent was confirmed by five Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) certified laboratories.

Look at that date of the alleged poisoning, August 20 2020, and compare:

DRAFT REPORT OF THE OPCW ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONVENTION ON THE PROHIBITION OF THE DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION, STOCKPILING AND USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS AND ON THEIR DESTRUCTION IN 2020

EC-97/CRP.1 – page 10

Technical assistance to a State Party

1.41 At the request of Germany, on 20 August 2020 the Secretariat deployed a team to perform a technical assistance visit (TAV) in relation to the suspected poisoning of a Russian citizen. The TAV was restricted to the collection of biomedical samples. The samples were dispatched to two OPCW designated laboratories. …

So Germany called the OPCW on August 20 for technical assistance in the Navalny case. That was the very same day a still 'healthy' Navalny stepped onto a plane in Tomsk. How did the Germans know what was coming?

Gilbert Doctorow with a reality check:

Death of Aleksei Navalny: the Brits did it!

The invitation today was to speak about breaking news, the reported death in a remote Yamalo-Nenets prison colony of Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny at age 47. A glance at the latest online edition of The Financial Times confirmed that Navalny had indeed died and set out the comments of leading Western statesmen condemning what they considered to be the latest murder by Vladimir Putin of prominent activists who oppose his rule. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, European Council President Charles Michel and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz were among those who already had spoken before microphones and were reading from the same anti-Putin script.

In short, what happened in the West this afternoon was a new campaign to vilify Vladimir Putin on the world stage based on a death which was, if I may quote former British PM Theresa May, ‘highly likely’ to have been perpetrated by British Intelligence for this very purpose.

In all of the false flag operations that have been directed by the West against Russia over the past decade or more, I have argued that the old Roman investigative principle of cui bono militated against the Kremlin having been involved in any way. So it is today: why would Putin want to murder Navalny, when the man is now largely forgotten within Russia. Navalny is yesterday’s news and his ‘anti-corruption’ campaign is irrelevant to Russians in the midst of an existential struggle with the Collective West that is being fought on the territory of Ukraine? However, the murder of Navalny clearly serves the interests of that same Collective West as an intended antidote to the major Soft Power coup of the Carlson Tucker interview with Vladimir Putin just a week ago and perhaps even more important, to the follow-up Tucker News Briefs showing his visits to the Kievskaya Metro Station and to an Auchan supermarket in downtown Moscow. This was not Gilbert Doctorow publishing his travel notes of visits to St Petersburg markets and reaching 10,000 readers; it was Tucker Carlson, with a regular U.S. audience of 40 million or more for his every broadcast, and a peak of one billion views for the recent interview.

Let us go beyond the cui bono argumentation to circumstantial evidence that is damning for the Brits. As the Americans like to say, there are ‘fingerprints’ of the Brits all over this death of Navalny. …

In any case of a 'poisoned' Russian dissident there are traces back to Britain. Look up Berezovsky, Litvinenko, Skripals, Navalny …

'Rule Britannia' can no longer be done by a capable fleet. Cheap MI-6 propaganda, at times created through high school level chemistry tricks, is the self-aggrandizing replacement for it.

Comments

Jippy Bidden, Chief Stiff-Puppet of the Collective West, has promised to “hire a wandering albatross – they’re for hire, aren’t they? – attach one of my fully employed diapers, and drop it on the Kremlin. That’ll teach Putin not to mess with our man Navalny! What do you mean, he’s dead? I just talked to him about our victory in Honduraq, especially over Ngô Đình Diệm, where I scored an eagle – that’s an American eagle, just so you know – and ended the day 3 home runs below par.”

Thanks Jen for the first post re Missus Navalny being his most recent (and last?) visitor.
Back in the day, when Nav was making daily headlines, I seem to recall reading that he was gay.
I’ve been following geo-politics as my “sport” long enough to believe in coincidences exactly as I believe in the Tooth Fairy.
That Mrs Nav was a headliner act at the MSC exactly as Nav died. …
Remember when Zelensky gave his standing ovation performance at the MSC?
This meeting requires a headline act each year.
A bit like a Super Bowl needs a headliner…..

Why is it so hard for people to accept that Navalnyy could have died from a blood clot? He was 47 years old.
Navalnyy’s wife Yuliya Navalnaya last visited him in prison in February 2022, for three days. She hasn’t visited Russia since. The claims about her “recent visit” are fakes. Remember the people who are spreading these fakes and never trust them again.
On February 12, 2024, Navalnyy’s mother visited him. She says he was “healthy, cheerful.” (source)
On February 14, 2024, Navalnyy’s defense attorney visited him. (source)
On February 15, 2024, Navalnyy participated via video conferencing in five court hearings on his lawsuits against the colony he was previously serving his time in. (source)
On February 16, 2024, after returning from a walk, Navalnyy collapsed. The colony’s doctors immediately initiated resuscitation procedures. The ambulance team arrived in the colony in 7 minutes and was let inside to see him in 2 minutes—so, 9 minutes in total. They continued the resuscitation procedures for more than half an hour before pronouncing Navalnyy dead. (source)
Do we now describe every Western death from a blood clot as “Biden’s murder” or “Putin’s murder” or “Xi’s murder” or someone else’s “murder”?

Utterly devastating news. Navalny has died in prison. He was only 47. Had he not been imprisoned, he would be alive.
Navalny was an opposition figure, but his investigative journalism exposed the corruption of the ruling elites in Russia. Navalny had recently been moved to a remote penal colony in Russian Arctic.
I feel for his wife Yulia and their two children, who will probably never really know what happened. Condolences to his friends and family.
………..
Regardless of the good done by wikileaks in posting various documents, it best to have an understanding of what they are.
When it comes to especially Russia, they are on the same side as those who jailed Assange.
Murray especially has been very anti Russia yet I have not seen any documents at wikileaks that puts Russia in that light.

A London court heard evidence that Alexei Navalny’s nationalist, anti-immigrant and Islamaphobic statements were “repugnant”.
In one of his campaign videos, Navalny presents himself as a ‘certified nationalist’. He goes on to ask what should one do if the cockroaches are too big or the flies too aggressive?…An actor then enters the same studio space as Navalny, wearing a long gown and Arab keffiyeh, clearly intended as a grossly stereotypical depiction of a Muslim. The actor moves towards Navalny who ‘shoots’ him. The actor ‘falls dead’ in front of Navalny who looks at the camera, holds up a gun and says, “In such cases, I recommend using a gun.”
“(Neither) Navalny, nor his team, have apologised for, withdrawn or redressed this video or any of the racist and xenophobic statements he is on record for making.”
More evidence was heard by the London court…
A video shows a variety of different shots of what appeared to be nationalist or neo-Nazi marches with participants in some cases making raised arm salutes and aggressively shouting slogans. At one stage a Nazi flag can be seen in a still shot. The subtitles suggest that at one stage marchers chant an offensive slogan about Allah. Mr Navalny addresses the camera suggesting that his supporters should not be amazed and that he has attended the ‘Russian March’ for 4 years.
A different video piece shows Mr Navalny against a red backdrop addressing a crowd using a microphone asking “Do they need to be afraid?” to which the crowd responds “yes”. It is unclear exactly who the crowd is and to whom “they” refers…this video (by Navalny’s team) creates the impression that Mr Navalny is in the thick of a nationalist or neo-Nazi event and is an active participant in it.
Amnesty International themselves cite the Sova Centre, which monitors nationalism and racism in Russia, that state that their was an alarming rise in racist violence and neo-Nazi violence since the time of publication of the Navalny team videos described above.
None of this evidence was disputed by the court. The judgement stated “Navalny’s past comments are indeed reprehensible, discriminatory and racist.”
Ms A M E Jung v Amnesty International Ltd: 2206526/2021 and 2203151/2022 – Judgment with Reasons
We know very well that western non government organisations (NGO) are used to support astroturfed opposition groups that seek regime change in Russia, as well as Belarus and other former Soviet states. It is well known that in Ukraine there is open western support for fascist and neo-Nazi groups such as Right Sector and Azov Batallion.
When referring to Navalny’s team of course this is most notably his wife Julia Navalny who also visited him in prison 14th February 2023 to deliver him medicines before travelling to the Munich Security Conference to give a speech to western political leaders after the announcement of her husband’s death 16th February 2023. Are we meant to believe that these are the typical actions of a grieving widow?

So, Montréal’s La Presse posted a Navalny piece from Moscow. La Presse in Moscow, I thought they’d be more likely to be seen in Grozny, but like Navalny himself, maybe they flew from Berlin (at the Berlinale) to Moscow… but the “La Presse in Moscow” is a special
collaboration and it appears to be Marie Tsevetaeva who’s in Moscow. I’m not sure where everyone else is.
I’m also not sure why this special collaboration was necessary (« L’espoir est mort » bemoans the headline), when the previous coverage of Navalny’s death provided the same message. A local expert, from the University of Quebec in Montréal, was consulted:
« Guillaume Sauvé, chargé de cours au département de science politique de l’UQAM et cofondateurs du Réseau québécois d’études postsoviétiques… »
« On peut se faire des scénarios : a-t-il été empoisonné, assassiné, ou est-il juste mort des suites de mauvais traitements et de ses conditions de détention ? La responsabilité resterait celle du sommet de l’État russe », soulève M. Sauvé.
Anyway – from Moscow

From Quebec
https://www.lapresse.ca/international/europe/2024-02-17/mort-d-alexei-navalny/un-jour-sombre-pour-les-russes.php
While I thought CSIS Canada (via Tweets) suggested FBI Director Christopher Wray dunnit, the report from Moscow quotes chairman of the Duma, Volodine, as saying it was the Secretary General of NATO and Zelensky.

Talking of listening to what he says, I have just read Everything Ottenberg’s article on Hungary.
Well , Putin and Lavrov clearly predicted the disintegration of the EU before the start of the SMO.
Orban must have been listening even tho’ the unelected don’t.
Bullying Greece for electing a left-wing government Syriza, reminds me of the very strong US threats agaibst Jeremy Corbyn. Those threats were a reminder that Gordon Brown’s supplications to the God of Mammon, re-filling the pockets of the banks which bankers had secretly emptied, were rejected, while Tory supplications to the same god were rewarded with …. covid 19, Ukraine and now the Israel genocide of Palestine.
This Mammon god seems a bit keen on devouring millions of human sacrifices. Athens got Austerity and the lots of new Nato bases, how Greeks hate Nato bases! But it didn’t become responsible for destroying the United Nations ICJ as we slaves of Mammon have.
Orban could knock on Putin’s door asking for a return to the fold of Russia. It would be worth it surely just to see the sheer tide of expanding red foam gushing from the USUKISEU gnashing gobs.
Putin and Lavrov predicted it, and it is of course inevitable eventually that the world self-corrects when the full rage of ZioNazism reveals itself. Pompeo, who so brutally scorned Jeremy Corbyn, will turn the Eurozone into Pompeii, and the copulating Europeans will be preserved for posterity in US meocon volcanic ash.

The Russian government and President Putin do not benefit from the death of a countryman. It is Europe and the United States that benefit the most from Navalny’s death. The simultaneous death of a mercenary with his wife’s speech in the Munich conference is not a coincidence. While the Russian army Aviodka was seized, Putin’s interview had millions of views, Russia’s sanctions were ineffective, and so on. This is the double standard of Europe and America. Why is the statement of the European Union not so strong about the death of more than twenty thousand people, women, children and young people? This is a propaganda show to give money to Ukraine.

Posted by: Mona | Feb 18 2024 18:34 utc | 234

How is the death of a racist Russian mercenary? A person who had a small position in Russian society does not have a special position in politics, and is mostly referred to as a mercenary. The death of a mercenary and a traitor is not important. The death was planned to happen at the same time as the speech of this mercenary’s wife. What does this mean? ? Navalny’s death, wife’s speech, child’s cry, audience cheering and Russophobia!? How is it all coincidental!?

Posted by: Mona | Feb 18 2024 18:49 utc | 235

How did the Germans know what was coming?

Maybe because the Russians doctors themselves, on the same day (20th) “initially acknowledged that Navalny had probably been poisoned”. Although they slightly backtracked later. It’s not a stretch that preparations were made, after stabilization of the patient, to transport Navalny to Germany.
This in itself does not fully explain the course of events but it doesn’t make it explicitly suspicious, either.

Who to — did they want an Alligator to hover over the Munich NATO circle-jerk and drop it?
Perhaps absurdly quick accusations of delaying hand-over could also hint at a NATO fear of something unusual being discovered via a thorough Russian autopsy.

The murdered chance for another Russia
• A COMMENT FROM REINHARD VESER

The killing of Navalny is a turning point. Navalnyj represented the chance for Russia to free itself from the demons of its history that Putin glorified.3 min.
In many Russian cities there are monuments to the victims of political persecution in the Soviet Union. They are usually not in central places and are usually not very large either. This shows the significance that the crimes of the communist dictatorship have in large parts of Russian society: they are not denied, but they are not considered to be the central characteristic of the Soviet Union. In the quarter century of Vladimir Putin’s rule, this became official doctrine. The millions of people murdered, tortured to death in the camps and broken in the clutches of the secret services were declared to be insignificant aspects of a story that supposedly testified to Russia’s glory and strength.
In recent days, monuments to the victims of Soviet power in many places have become spontaneous memorials to Alexei Navalnyj, who was killed by Putin’s regime. This symbolically closes a circle. Vladimir Putin is leading Russia back toward the darkness of its past. It has not yet reached Stalin’s terror. But Putin is increasingly losing his inhibitions about the use of violence and arbitrariness. This was already evident in the settlement with the mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin last year. He was not brought to justice after his armed rebellion, but was killed in an attack on his plane. Prigozhin’s death is a turning point because for the first time the Kremlin has violently eliminated a member of the elite known to the entire country. ….

You’re just trying (rather unconvincingly) to make out that liberal Putin
is less of a pro-Western softie than he actually is.
Well, it won’t work. Don’t bother to try again.

Why doesn’t anyone comment about HIS LAWYER DELIVERING HIM MEDICATION a mere 2 days before his demise? Did it perhaps include a poison pill or 2? IMO he was “Epsteined”. His only utility was the final sacrifice which drew the sheeple away from all the other western failures dominating the news cycle.

i am enjoying your posts and commentary at moa.. keep it up!
for me russia (and putin) has the least to gain from navalny’s death… so either he died of natural causes – was in poor health anyway – or someone on the side of the west helped to see him out the door.. occams razor.. who benefits? what is the simplest answer here? that is what i would go with… there is no benefit to putin or russia as the past 3 days of western msm bullshit have shown… mind you it helped cover up the loss in ukraine… i guess that counts for something.. i am sure they ( usa-uk intel) are working hard on a replacement too..

Why is it so hard for people to accept that Navalnyy could have died from a blood clot?

Good question in a good post.
Answer: The timing.
It happened a. the same day as Avdeevka collapse, b. a month before Russian elections, c. during the Munich Security Conference – where his wife was apparently invited.
It may well be pure coincidence and strictly due to his medical condition.
But it does seem extremely convenient, from a NATO perspective.

I have read a couple tweets or replies to tweets actually and heard one mention of something wild about Navalny’s wife on a podcast….she allegedly visited him the day before his death in the prison and then had to leave abrubtly.
And then she showed up hours later in Munich with a lengthy speech in hand.
So anyways it seems plausible to me but obviously proof is needed
