I have seen pro-genocide apologists claiming that Hamas lulled Izrael into a state of complacency, that it wasn’t a “let it happen” on the part of Izrael.
Yet, all along Izrael knew that that was a Hamas tactic. Izrael had it in writing.
Izrael had Hamas’ Oct 7th plan a year ahead of time, in it it said:

While having breakfast I was listening to music on internet radio.
The channel briefly cut to the news. I heard the announcer say that
the US blames Iran-backed militia group for the deadly attack on base in Jordan [actually, Syria].
The announcer went on to describe the militias making up the group and
then said “Hezbollah” not “Kataib Hezbollah” but Hezbollah.
Listeners could easily be confused (intentionally?) that the Hezbollah referred to
is the political/military entity in Lebanon.
Reuters: “Who is Kataib Hezbollah?”
Fighters receive state salaries and Kataib Hezbollah members, including some designated terrorists by the U.S., hold senior positions in the PMF.
While it is technically under the command of Iraq’s prime minister as part of the PMF, the group often operates outside the chain of command and has defied and challenged government statements calling for an end to attacks on U.S. forces.

The US is acting as though the drone attack at the Syria/Jordan border was a Pearl Harbor, an unprovoked sneak attack.
The US was attacking Iraqi forces (PMF) in Iraq and not just in Syria, casualties were incurred.

I think the attack on Tower 22 may be directed at peeling Jordan off from the west. The King is very pro-western, but the street is all in with Palestine. Jordan is critical infrastructure for the western beachhead in the ME, and without Jordanian bases as a secure rear area, the logistical problems of every other US base in the region become a nightmare. The illegal occupation of Syria could not be maintained, and supplying everything else would require running the gauntlet of the Persian Gulf.
If I were a planner in the Axis of Resistance, I would be looking at how Jordan could be turned. Showing the street the active participation of Jordan in US oppression around the region is a step toward forcing Abdullah, for his own safety, to dis-invite the US from Jordanian bases. Tower 22 is just a warning shot, and sporadic escalation that the Jordanians cannot ignore will follow. The street will mobilize. Something will have to give.

He uses the term “US-backed” Ukraine, “US-backed” Israel. I counter with “Iranian-backed” Iran.

I have heard the theory before that South Africa was involved but now that we see what cold-blooded murders Israel is capable of I can’t help thinking Israel may actually have done the dirty work. I want to log in to say something I never thought I could say. I grew up with the church – Christ around me. As a boy I sung as a chorister in a well known cathedral choir. I would sing as a member of that choir, Matins and Evensong every day. As a mrmber of that choir I sung at state funerals, and huge crowds at major sporting events. So to some degree, steeped in that tradition with a reverence for The Holy Land of Israel.

Talking about God, I am waiting for him to come back and point out that IF he said the Semites are the “chosen” people to take over the country, he meant only those with semitic blood. “Militus periculum” is not good Latin. May I suggest “Milites in periculo” (Soldiers in danger) instead?
“Militum periculum” (Soldiers’ danger) or “Periculum militare” (Military danger) could also work.
Perhaps “Militis periculum” (Soldier’s danger) is what you had in mind.
I am currently studying Sanskrit and am having trouble remembering all the declension endings, so I can sympathize.

Apparently the ceasefire deal agreed to by the Likud was a version of the 50 day pause in Genocide with prisioner exchange. Female IDF POWs for Arab civilians at a 150:1 ratio.
Doubt that the Arabs even consider it a serious proposal.

I have been reading the Old Testament-I’m halfway through Exodus- these last few weeks. I was amazed how violent and amoral it is. The mendacity is extraordinary.
For example Moses and Aaron are ready to leave Egypt . God tells them that he will ‘harden the Pharaoh’s heart’ so that the Pharaoh won’t allow the Jews to leave so God can show his power by killing all the Egyptian first born.

That’s proven to be the case in every instance I can recall, especially since October 7 with it being constantly in the news. Not sure if this has been mentioned. There’s contradictory buzz about a possible cease fire,possibly starting this Saturday.
A deal which would include a staged release of hostages seems to be part of this.
Israel seems to indicate they’ll accept it.A Hamas spokesman on the other hand seemed to backing away from this. He said they’ve been presented with a proposal and are discussing it. He said that they will not betray other factions, including the PLO.
There seems to be a lot of behind the scenes activity. Hamas may smell a trap.
As a friend said recently, 30,000 people didn’t die so the people of Gaza could continue to live in a concentration camp.
An end to the blockade has to be a pre-condition to any ceasefire

Further confirmation on the Yemeni strike on U.S Merchant Navy Ship “Koi” (Kol?), this time from Hezbollah’s news agency “Al Manar”:
The Yemeni Armed Forces Friday announced, in a statement, launching naval missiles at an American commercial vessel in the Red Sea.

But NSW Police, which had come under fire for not intervening at the event, said an independent expert found no evidence the chant occurred, after combing over numerous audio and video files from the rally.
“[The expert] has concluded with overwhelming certainty that the words used were ‘where’s the Jews?,” Deputy Commissioner Mal Lanyon said on Friday.
While several witnesses had signed statutory declarations that they heard the “gas” phrase, Lanyon said detectives relied on the evidence of the “eminent and very experienced” expert.

“We would hope as a police force that this will ensure that community safety and balance remains,” he said.

Always remember that the D in IDF stands for Defense so no matter what Israel does, the comment should always be that Israel has the right to defend itself.
