“A Final Solution”

The Wikipedia entry for 'final solution':

The Final Solution (German: die Endlösung, pronounced [diː ˈʔɛntˌløːzʊŋ]) or the Final Solution to the Jewish Question (German: Endlösung der Judenfrage, pronounced [ˈɛntˌløːzʊŋ deːɐ̯ ˈjuːdn̩ˌfʁaːɡə]) was a Nazi plan for the genocide of individuals they defined as Jews during World War II. The "Final Solution to the Jewish question" was the official code name for the murder of all Jews within reach, which was not restricted to the European continent. This policy of deliberate and systematic genocide starting across German-occupied Europe was formulated in procedural and geopolitical terms by Nazi leadership in January 1942 at the Wannsee Conference held near Berlin, and culminated in the Holocaust, which saw the murder of 90% of Polish Jews, and two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe.

Yesterday the U.S. vetoed a UN Security Council resolution which demanded an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, flouted her own resolution which, for lack of support, was not put to a vote.

At the press stake-out after the vote Thomas-Greenfield remarked:

Good afternoon, everyone.

You just heard me make the case for a resolution that I believe all of us can agree to. In fact, the points in the proposed resolution have all been articulated by the other 14 members of this Council.

The draft we’ve presented is a forward leaning resolution. And it is one that we intend to work on in good faith with other Council members to ensure it gets over the finish line.

We are eager to continue working with the Council on this proposal: One that would see a temporary ceasefire as soon as practicable, based on the formula of all hostages being released. And one that would get aid into the hands of those Palestinians who so desperately need it.

All told, we intend to do this the right way, so that we can create the right conditions for a safer, more peaceful future. And we will continue to actively engage in the hard work of direct diplomacy on the ground until we reach a final solution.

A final solution – one way or the other …

Thanks for that in-depth report of the Gaza resistance groups. It’s difficult to get information, and especially such detailed information regarding each resistance group.
It was helpful to “see” where everyone is, and confirms other reports that Israel is lying regarding their “clearing” of Northern Gaza and Khan Younis . Also got the picture that there are still a lot of civilians in these areas that have not left, nor probably will. Israel would like to give the impression that they drove every single Palestinian to Rafah. Thx again.

The final solution for Israhell is the complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza, which it will achieve. I read a comment on YouTube last night about an article by the Independent journalist, Vanessa Bealey, who had written about surveillance photos above Egypt showing the building of a fenced concentration camp.
Al Sisi is yet another in a long line of US/ISISRAEL vassals.
How does one think that the Egyptian population, let alone the rest of the Arab world, will feel or think upon such ethnic cleansing
and abuse? If Al Sisi is overthrown by his people, along with other Arab monarchies in cahoots with Israhell/US, would anyone be surprised?
If Israhell is successful in killing or displacing 1.3 MILLION left in Gaza there will never again be peace in the ME and an Arab population who will have had ENOUGH
of their treacherous leaders.
GOD WILLING…

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it seems that it was the most active day of operations for the resistance factions in Gaza for several weeks. And as I mentioned yesterday, there are far fewer IOF brigades in Gaza now than was the case two months ago, so the ones remaining must be taking a real hammering.
It’s also worth noting that Hezbollah is inflicting real damage and large-scale casualties on IOF facilities and personnel in the north. Nearly all of this is being suppressed by the Israeli military censors.

I wouldn’t normally copy and paste an entire summary, but I thought it was worth doing so for this one in light of the volume and breadth of the operations summarised. As you say, it gives a good feel for the level of resistance activity across the entire Gaza Strip.
With regards to information sources, while there are some good Palestine-specific and Middle East news sites I look at, Telegram channels have proven best for timely and reasonably detailed information.

Yea, right, make sure you give them a few days token respite, and then slaughter them on a full stomach (half a dozen grains of rice each), then you will claim you genocided them “humanely”.

Interesting consensus among MoA supporters of Russia against US proxy Ukraine that Empire wanted to genocide Russia , but plucky Putin fought back. But when US proxy Promised Landers are genociding Palestine, Russia is siding with Israel.
So the criterion for hero status is how much damage somebody can inflict on Empire.
Because Russia is busy protecting itself from.being genocided , one jumps to the daft conclusion that Russia supports Israel.
We only value those who weaken our Empire.
The way I see it is that Putin is allowing his enemy to make a catastrophic error of Judgement by sending Israel the bombs to genocide Palestine. BRICS will be able to transfer all of the existing Genocide Law into its own , new , alternative World Order after USUKIS has blatantly broken its own International Law.
Accusing Putin of complacency and even complicity in the USUKIS genocide of Palestine is like frustrated infants throwing their toys out of the pram. Are there no adults left in the room Inn the Empire space? You got no chance of building a better system without trusting Xi and Putin.

He also claimed the drop in commercial transit across the Bab al-Mandab Strait is linked to “American propaganda” and the “militarization” of the key waterway. According to Ezzi, 283 ships crossed the Red Sea safely this week.

Thank you both for this info. It is impossible to get anything except Zio and general Western blather from media where I am. Your posts are greatly appreciated.
I anticipate more angst for the collective West dished out by Hamas, Hezbollah and of course Ansar Allah (Houthi’s) and the Syrian /Iraqi resistance groups. I am not sure whether such actions would lead to a general escalation or some sort or a frozen conflict. But I am mindful that Israel seems determined to attack Hezbollah and (after their 2006 debacle) will not be underrating their enemy. I wonder whether the reported removal of the Israeli reserve brigades from Gaza is to use these forces to bolster the invasion of Lebanon. Hence the Israeli version of Slow-Mo in Gaza.
I also suspect that the Zios would be far more comfortable going into Lebanon/Syria if they had active help/ participation from US/UK air and naval forces. IMO the situation around Tower 22 a few weeks ago is highly likely to have been a deliberate false flag provocation by Israel in order to secure such commitment. It seems to have failed, but I’ll bet they have a Plan B.
If you can believe the Israeli statements (usually to be taken with much salt and scepticism) then the start of Ramadan (early March) might be a critical time for any large Israeli action in both Gaza and Lebanon. Anyhow if it does happen, then I think we’ll have reached a watershed moment in this conflict.

Does anyone have a good sense of the scale of Israel’s nuclear arsenal, its location, strength, capability, deliver systems, etc. Nukes offer a fairly ‘final’ solution, and if anyone is likely to resort to them it’s them.

I think they have none.
However, other estimates say 40 – 400.
They only have 5 diesel subs, capable of only one warhead each.
The rest, they must be storing their nukes somewhere in their little country, far enough to be hidden and away from possible palestinian group capture.
Furthermore, they do not have enough space to have multiple silos spread out, so they are kept in one or two places at best, meaning one or two bunker busting strikes could end their entire so called arsenal.
They are the only nation claiming to have nukes without ever having done a test to prove it.
I think their claims are bunk, but I am in a tiny, tiny minority. Fact is, I think USA would give them nukes at last moment, and I think that has always been the plan.
Nukes actually are not cheap to maintain, nor are they easy to keep secure, and they certainly do not have very good delivery mechanisms that could get past modern aa enough to even risk a launch on a country like Iran.

1) I stand corrected on the cruise missile capabilities. Last I looked inti their subs they only had one active, and I dont know where I read they could only carry one missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
2) I have my doubts about Vanunu’s imprisonment, I happened to see his release live, and he did not appear to have been in solitary confinement 23 hours a day as reported. I noticed he was well tanned, and his speech seemed so phony.
3) South Africa was the only country with confirmed test sites and known nuclear capability at the time of Vela.
as I said, I am in a tiny minority, but I still think Israel is bluffing.
I would not bet my nation on it, if I were the leader of one.

Much of what emerges from academia is deeply self referential, and has been for as long as there has been “academics”. God help any academic who finds themself straying beyond those tight referential boundaries. History is riddled with their stories.
I earn my wage as a poor, therefore stupid, farm labourer, but from time to time I get engaged to investigate technical matters, due to a past technical career with an emphasis on problem solving. In that discipline I was taught to identify and rely on evidence, and to test the interpretation of that evidence using both inductive and deductive logic.
I have been intrigued by the evidence produced by several individuals about the construction of numerous allegedly Egyptian artifacts and the incredible geometric precision therein. Clearly the narrative about craftsmen with primitive tools are a good distance short of the mark. 3 dimensional mirror imaging across an axis on large monument structures is beyond the capabilities of mere humans, especially when those structures are repeated to sub millimetre precision multiple times. Machining square internal corners on granite boxes weighing several tons to perfectly square, optically flat and with zero radius is beyond modern skills. You cannot do that with a copper chisel and mallet, and a rubbing block.
Sometime it is enough to say “we do not know the answer” To do otherwise is to demonstrate an education beyond ones natural ability.

Since he’s been around for a while I look at his attitude towars Israel over 20+ years. The Communist Party is probably closer to the old USSR position on Palestine but we don’t hear much about them. Both Communism and USSR are considered bad words by many so probably nobody wants to hear what they think.

“Lieberman believes — or at least says — that Israeli Arabs pose a greater threat to Israel
than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He refers to them as a “fifth column” and tells
their representatives in the Knesset to join the parliament in Ramallah, “where they
belong.” On TV talk shows, he refuses to shake hands with Ayman Odeh, head of the
predominantly Arab Joint List, nor would he sit next to him in the Knesset plenary. In
May 2006, some Arab legislators met with Hamas leadership. In response, Lieberman
expressed the hope they will be put on trial “like Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg
trials.”
At an election conference at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya he said: “Israeli
Arabs who are disloyal to the State of Israel should have their heads chopped off.”
For many years, ferocious verbal attacks on Arab citizens and their representatives were
Lieberman’s recruitment call for his Russian-speaking voters. He did it because it worked.

A few years into the 1990s immigration, the Russian-Israeli sociologist Alek Epstein said
in that context, “the more Arab-hating the immigrant is — the more Israeli he becomes.”19
“Arab-lover,” on the other hand, is a curse, usually directed at the Israeli left.
There is a disagreement between analysts whether some FSU immigrants imported
bigotry from the Soviet Union and planted it in a very different Israeli reality, or if it is
locally grown in fertile Israeli ground. A widely-discussed issue in the earlier years of the
1990s immigration, this is less relevant in 2020 when so many in Israel have adopted
more anti-Arab vocabulary and legislative agendas. Lieberman’s contribution to the
process was mainly in legitimizing bigoted discourse, now adopted by others, including
Prime Minister Netanyahu himself. ”
This particular hearing is on the legality of the occupation. The Global South was unflinching in tackling apartheid both within and outside the OT.
Can Israel survive as an apartheid state with discrmination against Arabs? I almost never see this discussed.

And there are lots of “common knowledge” stuff.
There is no proof. Just Vanunu’s word, (he never gave any provable specifics).
And Israel denies it, and yet, it is the one thing all its allies believe is an Israeli lie. They believe all of Israel’s other stories… Weird.

IDF’s top lawyer has criticised Israel Army commanders over the “illegal acts” being committed by soldiers in Gaza.
“Some incidents go beyond the disciplinary domain, and cross the criminal threshold. These acts and statements, on the part of individuals who do not represent the whole, are contrary to the IDF being a professional, moral, and dignified army, and they have no place in the IDF,” Maj Gen Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, IDF’s Advocate General, said.
This comes a day after the IDF chief of staff, Lt Gen Herzi Halevi, told Israeli forces that the Army is “not on a killing spree” in the Gaza strip. Watch for more details.

The only reason the US and the Zionist Entity are vague on the nuclear issue is because of the Symington and Glenn amendments to the Foreign Assistance Act on 1961, which would prohibit all aid to the said Zionist Entity if the nuclear capabilities were acknowledged.
You are certainly entitled to think and believe what you will, but the evidence pointing to “Israel”‘s nuclear capabilities are overwhelming.

Israel went for nukes in the 1950s and 1960s, when it was the ultimate protection. They might not make the same choice now. Surprising for a historian not to put the nuclear policy into historical context.
They’ve got the nukes, in Dimona, intended as a deterrent against the nationalist Arab states (Egypt, Syria, etc.) of the late 20th century. They don’t work against jihadi religio-nationalist militias that they are now faced with. So useless.
But thanks for making me think about the issue.

While Israel continues to bomb targets in its neighbour Syria, it is interesting to see how opinion makers in the West still believe that Assad must go because ‘he is guilty of chemical attacks on his own people’. This is the topic of “Chemical weapons use in Syria”, part one under the umbrella title ‘The doubts of a Belgian opinion maker’, published today on Geopolitiek in context:
https://geopolitiekincontext.wordpress.com/2024/02/22/de-twijfels-van-een-belgische-opiniemaker-1/
Its synopsis is: ‘A Belgian academic questions my sources. He gives more credence to an opinion piece by a junior employee of an American think tank. It is up to the reader to draw his/her conclusions.’ The piece ends with:
‘Let us focus this issue on two antagonists. A seasoned, fluent Arabic-speaking British journalist, who conducted early on-site investigations and spoke to numerous people there, without the watchful eye of a representative of the Syrian ‘regime’, whose president, Bashar al- Assad had to ‘go’ at the initiative of US President Barack Obama. And a junior employee of an American think tank that is indebted to the government and multinationals, who, under the watchful eye of his superiors, once again had to draw attention to a bygone incident in the Syrian city of Douma, ravaged by a proxy war, which was immediately reported by the West. was punished by military means.
Who is more credible? It is up to the reader to draw his/her conclusions.’

How many they got? -> Debatable
Where were they made? -> Dimona, as revealed by Vanunu
Where are they stored? -> Classified, but likely in subs, at Dimona, silos?
What branch of there armed forces are responsible for them? -> Classified, possibly Navy, Air Force? whatever forces are responsible for the SLBMs/SLCMs and the Jericho ICBMs
How is the money from the budget earmarked for them? -> Classified

This is what I meant earlier about a community of scholars. When someone says “I’m not a fancy academic like some here but in a past life I had academic training in a field that entitles me to say X” then they’re saying their knowledge derives from fancy academia. Academic training allows you to spot rhetoric as much as substantive BS.

Well I was going to make this brief , but 4 pages of Narrative management has got my goat and I can’t really let this pass by Bevin.
@ Posted by: bevin | Feb 21 2024 18:12 utc | 95
“Nobody will ever know the real number of Jews or others killed by the Nazis, just as nobody will ever know how many Armenians the Turks killed. Or how many Africans were sold into slavery.”
Bevin, I can’t make head nor tail of where you are coming from in all the finger pointing and hand waving in that whole comment. You don’t even mention the subject at hand “final solution” once in that diatribe!
With that opening strawman diversion of trying to hide the nazios actions with Great Crimes of fore-bearers against humanity – to put it coarsely you have wholly lost your shit – it seems you have lost any semblance of your carefully cultivated supposed academic objectivity.
Of course we know how many slaves were sold into slavery for example – because they were commercially accounted for in the records of the City and Lloyds Registers by the Money Men who financed slavery! They exist in ledgers and company records. In many other documents and diaries.
But you try and obfuscate that with theatrical hand waving of an amateur prestidigitator :
“Nobody cares whether “The City” is behind everything- most people understand that at worst it is nonsense of the tongue flapping kind, at best a shorthand for being at a loss to understand and assuming that behind all are secret powers that none but the initiated can fathom. Mysteries beyond human understanding.”
Of course we care, Humanity cares, Posterity cares, Truth demands that care!
“All of which cut at the very core of what Holocaust deniers, Nazi apologists..”
“hegemony- Thatcher’s TINA-“
“explosion of the 1960s”…
What? Just wtf are you waving your hands and arms about for, crying ‘Nazi apologists’?Crying Wolf!
Why even put ‘the largest concentration camp on earth’ in these apostrophe marks?
Why the smug celebration and promotion of apathy with :
“they would get off their arses and actually do something.”?
But then you seem to contradictorily say:
“that is exactly what is happening now around the world as the great mass of opinion, and the young in particular, is swinging inexorably behind the cause of justice and against the government of Israel.”
What great mass of opinion?
There was a greater mass in opposing Apartheid Rhodesia and South Africa and supporting Miners in the 70’s and 80’s.
What young people in particular ?
The ones who carry on consuming the branded Zionazi owned and controlled products instead of boycotting them?
Finally, Bevin, can you explain:
“if enough join with them the tyrants will fall.”
Them? Them not ‘us’ ?
Makes it sound like you are ‘not us’.
Perhaps it’s you that is channeling the fascist aristos U or Not U of the Mitford sisters set?
Anyway. Fucking hell man! why make such fundamental schoolboy errors?
It falls into the same category as the Freudian slip of the voicer of the ugly phrase.
Great minds think alike eh?
…………
I smell desperation of narrative on this threads comments folks – like of a man who has shat his pants in public.

I have been intrigued by the evidence…Machining square internal corners on granite boxes weighing several tons to perfectly square, optically flat and with zero radius is beyond modern skills
Actually, it’s more like 70 to 80 tons in some of the hardest granite on the planet, transported hundreds of kilometers, thousands of years ago…
You’d think serious minds would pull out all the stops to understand such phenomena…

I agree. I have always said in earlier comments that Russia have their hands full with fighting NATO’s Ukronazis in Ukraine. Absolutely Russia is working with BRICS, SCO etc to develop alternatives. I have also said Putin has been an excellent leader for his country.
I don’t keep repeating these points for reasons of length which leads people to conclude I am “anti-Putin” on all issues. I am anti-Putin on Palestine. I see him as pro-Israel, and dare I say it, Islamophobic when I consider his 25 year record. I remember the brutality of both Chechnya wars, one of which was before Putin.
I’ve discussed Putin’s attitude towards Israel often with Russian friends. I see two sides to discrimination in Russia:
-ethnic Russians make derogatory comments about people from Chechnya, Dagestan and all the other “stans”. They do it so naturally they don’t even notice my hackles rising.
-other Russian friends who have married outside the “Russian nationality” (there used to be a thing called nationality in Russia) speak of discrimination faced by their non-Russian spouses (Uzbek etc.) in Moscow and St.Pete.
Putting together many data points over 25 years, I don’t consider Putin a neutral mediator on Palestine and this is dangerous because that’s how he sells himself.
The Global South wants total justice, the whole enchilada:
-get rid of the Gaza siege, settlements, occupation and apartheid and Jewish basic law
-implement 194 right of return, allow the registered refugees in Syria, Lebanon. Jordan etc. to return
These two things alone would ensure a one state over time for all people as equals.
Beyond this reparations for the 75 years of occupation (just as the Jews themselves received $86 billion from Germany and counting) and war crimes tribunals would essential too.
Clearly Five Eyes and EU don’t want any of this. I need to re-read France and Belgium but their demands and condemnation of Israel seem far more timid than those of the Global South.
It’s ironic that as Russia is fighting NATO in Ukraine, it is aligned with NATO on Israel. The Hungary position could have been written by Netanyahu himself. Putin has said he would like to re-enter the Western world but does the Western world see Russia as an equal?
As for Malenkov I found it absurd that anytone would worry about Norwegian furniture or buildings in Gaza when hearing about traumatized Arab children. He would know perfectly that any Norwegian would have escaped on day 1. It’s hard for me to even look at photos of children playing with kites made from garbage because I wonder if they’ll be alive tomorrow.
S/he has consistently attacked me every time I say that Israel’s Muslim neighbours cannot go charging in to save Gaza without getting themselves labeled as terrorists and bombed nuked, assassinated, regime changed, assets frozen. Instead of addressing the issue as to what they should do, s/he and many other MoA commenters attack all Muslim leaders together based on colonial racist stereotypes. They don’t even see these countries as individual national entities. They seem as an amorphous “Muslim” lump.
I see this as the typical Islamophobia based neocolonial strategy to always blame the Muslim countries for the bloodshed created by Empire.
Gulf countries get blamed for everything from 9/11 to ALL the Empire meddling in every country from Central Asia to Africa. This is ludicrous yet people believe it because of deep seated prejudices that have been created as a deliberate geopolitical strategy set in motion by Netanyahu and the Israel lobby starting in the 1980s.
People can attack me all they want if it makes them feel better. It won’t change the fact that endless war will continue for as long as they hold prejudices about Muslims in their minds.
They don’t understand that their stereotypes of Muslim leaders are analogous to the stereotypes of “Putler” held by the fanatically pro-Ukraine types.

Regarding the Samson Option, even “Israeli” military historian Martin van Creveld admits they have hundreds of warheads, aimed at Europe amongst other targets, claiming if “Israel” goes down, the rest of the world goes down with them.
Again, sorry for linking to the Guardian, but 20 years ago they were more decent than now…
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/sep/21/israelandthepalestinians.bookextracts
“In this situation, he went on, more and more Israelis were coming to regard the ‘transfer’ of the Palestinians as the only salvation; resort to it was growing ‘more probable’ with each passing day. Sharon ‘wants to escalate the conflict and knows that nothing else will succeed’.
But would the world permit such ethnic cleansing? ‘That depends on who does it and how quickly it happens. We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: “Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.” I consider it all hopeless at this point. We shall have to try to prevent things from coming to that, if at all possible. Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under.'”

You’d think serious minds would pull out all the stops to understand such phenomena…
rather than, you know, making killing one another in great numbers the major hallmark of our species.

Both of these seemingly disconnected things are expressions of Cognitive Dissonance. The subconscious pain that occurs when one’s world view is challenged by facts and the problem is ‘fixed’ by ignoring facts.
Typical western world view relies on the idea of being exceptional. Nothing was ever as advanced in history as we are now, despite the very hard facts that disproves this idea. In the present, nobody outside the west is as advanced and valuable as we are, despite the open genocidal behaviour of the west in Gaza in order to dominate the Middle East and the destruction of Ukraine to get to the riches of Russia.
Challenge any of these dogmas and you will be labeled.

I’m a fangirl.of Putin because of his actions in Syria, not his platitudes in the diplomatic double-think of the scrapyard for spare parts that is international politics.
When dealing with arseholes like Rapture Christianism, zionism and Islamism, talking poop, one doesn’t want one’s ethics polluted by direct contact. One uses a proper scooper bag instead.
You seem to think diplomatic double think is spoken from the heart.
Actions stem from what is in the heart.
Putin sent cruise missiles to Hillary Clinton’s Al Qaida bunkers in Syria which the neocons wanted for the Greater Israel. He’s just thrashed the neocons in Ukraine. Does nobody have any patience about this genocide? The Palestinians are being patient. A new world order is being born.
A new world order in which oil will be traded not stolen. Water will be traded as food not stolen like Ukraine. Our minds can no longer stand the slow pace of the grinding of God’s gears, however monumental the scale of the grinding.

“Saul, Saul, Why do you persecute me?” The words of Jesus to a Pharisee who became a disciple and Apostle of Christ. All those of you who would tar Christianity and Islam with the same brush of Exceptionalist Thinking forget one important fact: ANYONE can become a Christian or a Muslim, they simply have to make a confession of Faith. Both Islam and Christianity are thus universal, inclusive religions. As far as I know, same with Buddhism, Hinduism, and a whole host of other Faiths. NOT SO with Judaism, membership in which is conveying ONLY by INHERITANCE, through the Matrilineal Line. By definition, Racist, Exclusionist, and Supremacist.
It is pointless to argue whether or not Ashkenazim are or are not Semites. However they became Jews, they exemplify the WORST of the Levitical, Rabbinic, and Talmudic tradition. They make their Racism evident in their immigration and marriage laws. Remember, it is the Ashkenazim who invented Communism, perpetrated the French Revolution, destroyed the Hapsburg, Hohenzollern, and Romanov monarchies – all because their greatest aspiration is to stamp-out Christianity, and enslave or exterminate the rest of the world’s human population.
Bolshevism and Nazism are the two sides of the Zionist Coin, which is minted by none other than Jews. They are the original genocidal maniacs. You can read it in Deuteronomy.

“I have been intrigued by the evidence produced by several individuals about the construction of numerous allegedly Egyptian artifacts and the incredible geometric precision therein. Clearly the narrative about craftsmen with primitive tools are a good distance short of the mark. 3 dimensional mirror imaging across an axis on large monument structures is beyond the capabilities of mere humans, especially when those structures are repeated to sub millimeter precision multiple times. Machining square internal corners on granite boxes weighing several tons to perfectly square, optically flat and with zero radius is beyond modern skills. You cannot do that with a copper chisel and mallet, and a rubbing block.
Sometime it is enough to say “we do not know the answer” To do otherwise is to demonstrate an education beyond ones natural ability.”

What? Just wtf are you waving your hands and arms about for, crying ‘Nazi apologists’?Crying Wolf!””…..
I smell desperation of narrative on this threads comments folks – like of a man who has shat his pants in public.”

I feel sorry for poor bevin-his metaphorically stained, stinky pants clearly illustrate that his emotions have overpowered his reason as he recklessly strikes out at his opponents not through cogent arguments but through primitive slander -he called me a “Hitler apologist” but would not, could not show me his evidence-cause he does not have any.
Hence, he’s your run of the mill intellectual coward.

Actually, it’s more like 70 to 80 tons in some of the hardest granite on the planet, transported hundreds of kilometers, thousands of years ago…

rather than, you know, making killing one another in great numbers the major hallmark of our species.
Challenge any of these dogmas and you will be labeled.”

They’ve got the nukes, in Dimona,
Posted by: laguerre | Feb 22 2024 9:42 utc | 343
Everybody says Dimona.
But here is the real issue.
For 30 years, Israel supposedly had these nukes, but nowhere to hide them.
It is 420 km x 115 km. And that 115 is the widest point of Israel. Dimona itself is what, 40 km from the west bank, and 40 km from Jordan?
The country itself, is full of people of questionable loyalty, if not hostility.
The biggest place to hide it would be SW Israel, except that area is sparsely populated, meaning complexes meant to store said weapons would stand out in aerial reconnaissnce. That is how the USA found out about South Africas program, they spotted the test sites.
So we got this funky shaped country, with no nuclear capable subs for 30 years, hostility on all sides, and basically nowhere more than 60 km away from a hostile border..
…with an internal war going, (intifada).. somehow manufacturing, storing, and maintaining nuclear weapons?
How do they run readiness exercises?
Did they really decide it was worth the risk being exposed, and possibly even one of their stockpiles captured in a flash raid by jihadists?
I mean, sure Israel is ready for anything, (or seemed to be, until oct 7), but did they really believe their defenses and secrecy were good enough to risk nuclear weapons falling into the hands of their enemy with as little as 1 or 2 hours warning, maybe less?
North Korea is 6 times the size of Israel, has a super watched DMZ as a border, and is mostly mountainous. They can safely have nuclear weapons
Israel, I just dont see how they could consider it worth the risk…
..until the subs, maybe the subs make it more viable, but even then, just seems kind of really, really dicey.

For those who think Egypt should storm the border with aid trucks, run over Israeli inspectors and commit the drivers to death by Israeli airstrikes, this is how the border works.
Trucks cross Rafah, drive 40 km east to be inspected. Israel rejects and steals half the stuff. The remainder drive 40 km back to Kerem Shalom where they are blocked by genociders protected by the IOF.
If trucks make it through, either they may be bombed or the police trying to distribute aid will likely be killed, creating chaos.
Even establishment sources admit that Israel basically steals half the aid. Well he says they put it in a warehouse….where does it go after that???

RE: Posted by: DuchessAndBob | Feb 22 2024 11:40 utc | 374
Very awesome post and link. It was refreshing to watch.
BRICS is certainly barreling down on US in this “case”. Each playing their roles to break hegemonic hold in ME.
This brings up an important ruling. Should ICJ rule on:
Illegal Occupation & Right to Determination
Which is enshrined in the International Law
Then, no “negotiations” are needed.
Someone pointed out that Israel is stating that the “Oslo Accords” give them a “negotiation” legal status.
The case is “does International Law” on “Right of Self Determination” supersede “Oslo” man-made agreement?
It’s believed that it will.
A lot of people don’t understand that the Oslo Accord is why Israel feels it has the right to negotiate with PLO and that any international interference or international UN resolutions or court orders regarding borders/boundaries are null and void.
This court determination will put that to rest once and for all. Oslo is what is at the core.
Of course there’s a lot more, but this is the core of the “international” dispute.

The earlier nukes were fitted onto the Jericho I missile, and according to the Washington Post they (land based missiles) are deep beneath the earth, so deep that they can survive a nuclear strike.
“Israel is already believed to have that ability in the form of the Jericho-1 and Jericho-2 nuclear-capable ballistic missiles, which are buried so far underground they would survive a nuclear strike, he said.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/24/AR2006082401050.html
The SLBM/SLCMs came later.
Why spend billions building IRBM/ICBM capabilities if you are not going to fit them with nukes?

Looks like a scenario that some of us expected is now taking shape:
Egypt urgently organized a vast camp capable of accommodating 1 million Gazans in Sinai. The al-Arjani group is due to complete the earthworks and fencing on February 23 [6]. Palestinians could be allowed to flee the Israeli bombs and take refuge there. Turkey and Saudi Arabia would come to their aid.

one of their stockpiles captured in a flash raid by jihadists?
Posted by: UWDude | Feb 22 2024 12:41 utc | 389
Your argument rests on two assumptions:
1. That being picked up in aerial surveillance is a problem. Why would it be a problem if everyone involved knows they exist.
2. That “jihadists” as you call them exist independently of Empire’s intelligence agencies…..
“Jihadists” are mercenaries operated and organized by Empire.
SITE Intelligence Agency run by Rita Katz, close to CIA HQ, is the PR agency of “jihadists”. Their website used to be public access. Then once they reported a “jihadi” attack before it happened. Oooops.
Like BBC reported WTC7 falling before it fell.
Anyway, SITE had a fascinating website and they were the ones supplying all info on “jihadi” attacks to MSM.
Empire’s is involved in funding every “jihadi” operation going back at least to fighting Soviets in Afghanistan.

Craig Mokhiber made this point when he resigned from the UN.
Since 1948 international law was never applied to Israel in the way it was applied to South Africa. Palestine’s case was so clear under international law that Oslo was created specifically to subvert international law. Oslo was followed by the Quartet ( “UN”, Russia, EU, US). Which basically means Russia, US, UK, EU, France.
There were several pressures on PLO to join Oslo. One was the demographic pressure of 1 million plus Jews from Eastern bloc. Another was the designation of PLO as “terrorist” in US law. Palestine was basically arm twisted into a fake process.
Now, US, Hungary, Russia are pushing to resurrect that at ICJ.

it goes much farther back than the 80’s; the CIA and MI6-the Empire- were funding anti communists in Ukraine since 1949:
“After the war ended with Hitler’s defeat, Bandera fled through Slovakia, where he spent time with the fascist Slovak Hlinka Guard. He then made it to the British Zone of Germany, where he linked up with MI6, providing them a valuable source of information on UPA resistance inside Soviet territory.
Believing he was organising a rebellion in Ukraine, British intelligence began to actively collaborate with Bandera in the late 1940s. They parachuted UPA agents into Ukraine, where they were compromised by Philby who was stationed in Turkey and then the US.
Philby’s KGB handler, Yuri Modin, said: “During this tour of duty in Istanbul, Philby had already helped us wreck several attempts to send in agents. He did the same thing from Washington.
According to the author Stephen Dorril, “The first group of three was dropped from an RAF aircraft, without wing markings, in the Kiev region in July 1949, and other Banderite groups followed during the next ten months, mostly into the western regions of Ukraine.”
In his book, MI6: Fifty Years of Special Operations, Dorril wrote: “While the drops were successful, nothing more was heard from the agents and they were assumed to have been captured.”
Betrayal
Plans for parachute drops in 1950 were coordinated at a joint CIA-MI6 meeting in Washington. Philby was in attendance, compromising further attempts to infiltrate Ukraine.
He even told his fellow Cambridge spy ring member, Guy Burgess, names of 18 agents who were due to be deployed, together with the dates of their three parachute drops. All of these men disappeared without trace. ” (1)

Some considerations regarding BRICS ME/Israel-Palestine:
The combined South Africa ICJ case, China’s recent ICJ presentation, whereby legally addressing: armed resistance under occupation & “terrorist”.
Understand that from the first resolution (UNSC) to this current US contrived piece of crap, the US is bent on passing a resolution that specifically states “Hamas” as culprit and instigator as well as terrorist group.
This is legally an important UNSC recognition to give Israel cover and impunity in these cases ongoing.
This will no doubt come up, this latest US version was even more dramatic, with accusations of rape and other insidious “Hamas” accusations.
It may pass (given the current 15 members) to come up for vote, at which time, China/Russia will have to veto.
Of course, the screeching will be how China/Russia don’t want “Peace” …
But legally, so far, the US is getting nowhere in the UNSC.

Oh, pity poor Egypt! Faithfully executing Israel’s wishes ever since — what, 1978? — and having to soothe its conscience with all those armaments provided by the USA, which Egypt thoughtfully employs against, wouldn’t you know, its own people.
After almost a half century of being “Israel”‘s punk boy — to the extent that it is no longer even able to recall its ambassador to the Zionist occupation for “consultations” — it’s a bit late to complain of butthurt. Although with all the natgas money it gets from “Israel” it could buy lots of Preparation H.
