Palestine SitRep – Hizbullah’s Response To Assassinations By Israel In Lebanon

The war on Gaza has not proceeded the way the Netanyahoo government had planned. Fierce resistance continues and Israeli Occupation Forces are taking relatively high losses.

Haaretz is reporting (archived) that the military leadership does not agree with the government plans:

A large, almost unbridgeable disparity exists between the understanding that the Israel Defense Forces are already in the midst of deployment for the third stage of the war in Gaza, and what the political decision makers are projecting outwardly.

Five brigades, mostly consisting of reservists, have been pulled from Gaza and will be demobilized. But the military expects the war to continue throughout the year if on a lower level.

The Israeli government plans to ethnically cleanse the Gaza strip. It has held talks with Congo and other African countries to take in the involuntary refugees. Bribes will flow and some governments will agree to take in whoever comes.

Pushing Palestinians out by making all living in Gaza unbearable is the underlying tactic to achieve that goal.

The U.S. government is publicly opposed to those plans but does nothing to prevent their realization.

Netanyahoo has recognized that a victory in Gaza, and the dismantling of all of Hamas, is not really possible. But he needs a victory to keep  a chance to survive in the government and to not go to jail for the various cases of taking bribes.

He attempts to achieve this by expanding the war into Lebanon. Several border provocations have so far not incited Hezbullah to respond with a larger war.

But yesterday an Israeli drone assassinated a leader of the Palestinian Hamas in Beirut:

The Deputy Chief of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, Saleh al-Arouri, was martyred on Tuesday evening, as a result of an attack that targeted the Southern Suburb of Beirut.

Lebanon's National News Agency reported that "an Israeli drone targeted an office of the Hamas movement in Msharafieh" while "ambulances reached the area to transport casualties."

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that an Israeli drone targeted the building with three missiles, resulting in the martyrdom of six individuals.

Saleh al-Arouri had been involved in hostage negotiations in Qatar with Israel.

In August last year Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah had publicly announced that any Israeli assassination in Lebanon, no matter of whom,  would be responded to in kind. He can not let yesterday's event pass without responding. Israel would otherwise feel free to assassinate more and more people in Lebanon.

Today, at 16:00 UTC, Nasrallah is expected to give a speech. This was originally planned as a commemoration of the assassination in 2020 of the Iranian General Qassam Soleimani and the Iraqi resistance leader Abu Mahdi al Muhandis by U.S. forces. PressTV will have live coverage of the speech. Nasrallah will surely include a response to yesterday's attack.

Hizbullah must respond carefully to not give Netanyahoo a reason for a wider attack on Lebanon. On the other side the response must be strong enough and soon enough to give Netanyahoo some trouble.

But what kind of operation he will chose to do is yet unknown. I for one expect an unexpected but serious surprise in a direction that Israel has not foreseen.

Comments

The only way I can make sense of it is that they honestly believe this will bring about the arrival of THEIR Messiah, who will make them rule the world as they were promised, as was promised to them everyone and everything in it.

True. There is a very big but.
The difference is between wish (their) and reality (the) Messiah.
It is stated: No good will it do to believe now (when the Messiah has arrived) if you did not believe before.
That is for the real Messiah of the Muslims and Christians (not Armageddon wishers).

“Apparently, initially Allies and through the UK, wanted to settle remaining Jews from Europe in South-West Uganda around the Lake Edward area and Stalin was against it, as he pushed for the Palestine. ”

I think offers were made already to Herzl about creating a Jewish “homeland” or at least safe place for Jews in Uganda.
Here is some info.

It is a disgusting spectacle for all who are touched by the moral rot and outright evil.

Here is some info for you:
“The USSR and the U.S. were allies during World War II, but the Americans did not share information with, or seek assistance from, the Soviet Union regarding the Manhattan Project. The West was shocked by the speed with which the Soviets were able to stage “Joe 1″, its first nuclear test, on August 29, 1949.”
The Rosenbergs, martyrs for the cause of Talmudic Zion, and like the uber martyr Saul (Paul) ‘died for a (((cause)))’.
Russians made their deal with the devil decades ago. They got Jews in US to help them and in return they promised Jews they will support the Zionist Project.
Next time Putty Putt flies over your country, Mr. Dignified Pimp, and waves “we had a good time, didn’t we?” from his plane as he flies over, and you sitting in your designated “fly over country of Asia”, you miss the obvious finger raised in your and your people (who are these again?) direction.
Muslim Resistance: Listen up. You can not trust Russia for strategic fidelity. Zionists have them by the balls in the “New Israel” dagger aimed at their belly. You get the threat, right? “New Israel”.
Wa Salaam.
p.s. The Message has been here for 1400 years. Those who reject it have rejected God. Do not lie to yourselves regarding this. Your ONLY ALLIES are fellow Muslims.

You forgot the nukes. Which are pointed at DC, London and Brussels. In fact Israel probably has the US nuclear codes And any other ICBMs serve a secondary purpose.

Tom, I think it is an error to think Israel has or will use ICBMs, or simple BMs. Israel has been shouting about the Samson option for ages, and the simple, easiest way to nuke your bestest friend’s capital city, and any other capital, is simply assemble the nuke in the basement of your embassy for that country. Piece by piece it can be smuggled into that city, especially with diplomatic immunity/pouches. No risk of delivery or interception of a missile. Just coordinate your watches. And when the time comes, every capital will be slag at the same time. Exactly how the world would react to that is s mystery to me, but before the world plunges into nuclear winter and every living thing on Earth dies, there would no longer be an Israel or a Jew around to cheer for their final victory over all their enemies.
That there are so called rational, civilized minds on this world who have dreamed up a Samson option is probably the best reason to finally put down that mad dog.

My response is tardy, but I appreciate your interesting question.
I’m not aware of a single Zionist policy directive from Trump which Biden has reversed. Jake Sullivan seems like Jared Kushner’s doppleganger, only more feckless. As matters coalesce with passing years, each president is much worse than their predecessor — that’s been the pattern all my life, and I’m no spring chicken.
I don’t understand the whole left/right horserace anymore (particularly since readings of Edward Said lead to deeper delving, into colonial dynamics which precede by centuries notions of left and right). So the presidential race, at the top of the ballot, truly is meaningless to me.
As a “no party preference” voter, I got a postcard from California asking if I’d like to vote in the Democrat Party primary. I said yes, so I can at least have the satisfaction of voting against Genocide Joe. This crime will never be forgiven

I’m not going to try to anticipate the reaction militarily, just give my own reaction to the assasinations in Lebanon and the memorial gathering in Iran. I think these will resonate far more than so far we seem to have comments about. And Iran doesn’t need nukes. They are really obsolete at present, so anyone advising such is way behind, and thank God for that.
My deepest sympathy goes to both Lebanon and Iran for these additionally atrocious murders most foul. There is insanity in this, because it will only make things worse for those who are the perpetrators. In an all-seeing world we will find that out soon enough.

No, nukes are not “obsolete.”
If Lybia had developed them, it would not be a desolate failed state now. Lybia ended their nuke program in return for promises and “guarantees” from the US and NATO. North Korea, and many others, learned from that. The US will no longer attack North Korea, and the nukes there are probably the only thing that saved them.

Turn out the lights, the party’s over …

On Thursday morning, the Houthis for the first time detonated a small, one-way attack, unmanned surface vessel in international shipping lanes, he said, posing a new threat.

The Houthis will only get better at this.

“OIC Welcomes South Africa’s International Court of Justice Suit against Israel Over Genocide
Date: 30/12/2023
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the suit filed by the Republic of South Africa at the International Court of Justice for the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people committed by Israel, the occupying power.
The OIC has affirmed that the indiscriminate targeting by Israel, the occupying power, of the civilian population and the thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children, killed, injured, forcibly displaced, and denied basic necessities and humanitarian assistance and the destruction of houses, health, educational and religious institutions, in their totality constitute mass genocide.
The OIC called upon the Court to respond expeditiously and take urgent measures to stop this mass genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli defense forces in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.”
