Remember that the people Maria was describing are privileged Big Jews. The ones running the show, possibly the op.
Not decent human beings who happen to be Jewish.
The problem is that extremist (regarding their Judaism) powerful Jews always seem, throughout history, to end up as the powerful tail wagging the dog of the total Jewish world “community.” And even quite modest secular Jews will with little prompting joke about their specialness and superiority in a way that would be considered racist if uttered by anyone else about their own group. I had a very old friend, a secular Jew, suddenly start telling me that I was racist because I defended Germans and that Jews were “the conscience of the Christians” or something similar. WTF? Really turned me off!

I distinguish “good jews” from “bad jews” by the degree to which they identify with being “Jewish” as opposed to just plain “human”.
If you’re fundamentally a “good person” (i.e having empathy for the collective humanity) the distinction of being Jewish is immaterial.
And so it is clear that nominal “Jews” like Finkelstein, Chomsky, Max Blumenthal, Mate’ Father and Son, and may others don’t stake their identity as essentially Jewish, don’t draw a distinction between themselves and the rest of humanity and don’t emphasize any particular affinity for the rest of global Jewry above.
Once people begin harping on about being essentially “Jewish” in identity, and somehow part of a unique community due to that fact I have always observed affinity with Izzrael to follow, and then if not implicitly, explicitly Zionism.
Observed patterns.
Nothing is black and white in this world.
Some grey area allowed.

Nasarallah preparing Lebanese public for war. More statements ( source questionable though ) today Friday.
Generally things he’s said before, but if this is reliable, he will continue to prepare citizens and “acting” governance of his intentions.
To me, it would be better if a complete, coordinated Region wide response were to follow. All bases, all ships with land invasion into Israel immediately.
But I’m no doubt be “dramatic” and “unrealistic”…

So just a few minutes ago I checked the front page of Reuters.
The headline was this:

The subtext is where my eyes were made to roll backwards:
Water purifiers, medical supplies and tent poles are among items Israel has blocked from entering Gaza on aid trucks, according to an Egyptian Red Crescent document seen by Reuters and sources in Gaza, but Israel denied blocking any such items.
Why even quote “Israel”? Reuters should say, “We asked Israel for their lie.” Or, “We reached out to the Israeli spokesperson but they were not available to lie.”

I enjoy both your input and RLTW’s whether I personally agree with them or otherwise.
I lived in New York (62nd and 3rd street) and as a young man in the late 80’s I was in lots of bars. Back then I could be standing by a billionaire and on the other side was a hooker, over there was a plumber, East Indians, blacks et al – yet everybody was talking to each other-it was an interesting scene.
Years later, in 2012 I was in NY in the same neighbourhood for a bit and the bars were now segregated; there was a gay bar, or finance guys bar, cops bar etc. there was no mingling of the different people and opinions and it was, in 2012, frankly, boring.
Same with this bar. The greater the variety of opinions, viewpoints the richer the discussion.
Some of the bar patrons here want to ignore the people they don’t agree with or get the people with the views that don’t like to be kicked out by the bouncer; unfortunately, these soley emotional responses only intellectually impoverish the entire bar.
DW Conflict Zone’s Tim Sebastian interviewed Aaron David Miller on December 6. Miller is the former US State Dept Middle East Negotiator and believes that Prez Biden is driving a stake through his prospects for re-election by supporting Oinkrael’s genocide in Gaza.
He seems to believe that Boofhead Netanyahu is delusional if he thinks Oinkrael can win in Gaza.
It’s worth a visit to DW C-Zone’s website for 2 reasons:
1. Miller thinks Boofhead is a dangerous waste of space.
2. Tim S usually interrupts and talks over the answers to his questions. But in this interview he is almost spellbound and does about 10x more listening than talking.

The talk was scheduled and announced in his speech 2 days ago. He explained he would give a speech on the occasion of the burial of the Hamas guy killed in Beirut. It is Friday and there is nothing unusual that he would take an opportunity to give a genuine “khutba”.
The way the Western MSM are twisting whatever he says is alas well-scripted.

With the advent of mass agriculture humans began to live longer due to the extra fibre in the diets, leading to less straining accompanied by a drastic drop in cerebral aneurysms from being full of shit.

What you say is true, but if you come to the MoA bar to spread lies, imperialist propaganda, or raciest diatribes, I for one will call you out on it. I too have been called out when I was wrong something in my comment s, and I have had to apologize (or correct my comments) more than I care to admit when I was wrong or mistaken. That is what happens a lot in the bars that I frequented in my younger years. Others, when called out, want to start a bar fight; which is when the bouncer comes in.

South Africa has filed a “genocide complaint” against Israel. I fear that this “complaint” Israel is “strengthing” israel’s determination for one or more “military attacks” on lebanon and/or Syria.
