Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
December 5, 2023
Who Is Really Behind The Mass Slaughter In Gaza?

Who is really behind the Israeli mass slaughter of the people of Gaza?

Here is the answer to that question:

Israel’s dependence on the United States was stated bluntly by retired IDF Maj. General Yitzhak Brick in an interview earlier this week.

“All of our missiles, the ammunition, the precision-guided bombs, all the airplanes and bombs, it’s all from the U.S. The minute they turn off the tap, you can’t keep fighting. You have no capability. … Everyone understands that we can’t fight this war without the United States. Period.”

Period.

Eisenhower and Kennedy followed a balanced middle east strategy and weren’t pro-Israel, for example Eisenhower told Ben Guiron to get out of Siani and JFK said quit building nuclear weapons.
And Of course everything changed on November 22 1963…

Yes, it all started there. Up to that incident, other things were possible. Since then it has been a forced march to where we are now.
Dead Presidents are nothing new here, but none since then. They can be on their last legs like Raygun and Biden, or slow like Bush, corrupt as can be, but nothing happens to them. Trump is the one exception, I am still surprised they haven’t found a way to do something about him. He looks likely to win, just like he did in 2016, a big f**k you to the establishment here.

Humanity is in a civilization war about private/public finance…..pick a side

Ding, ding. Winner!
ALL wars are about resources. This is a major war which will end the capitalism supercyle.
GROWTH is far more essential/sought
after with capitalism. Russia and the ME represent blood for the vampire that is capitalism.
Palestinians are in capitalism’s way. Go back to Bfitain’s reasoning for championing for an Israeli state there. A “home for ‘Jews'” was no more than a marketing ploy; on whole the British could give a shit. BUT! Control over sucking blood, er, resources, absolutely.
Capitalism’s steam is running out. It’s marketing is failing: younger generation sees the faultering of the capatalist dream machine.
Palestinians are like all other poorer and more peaceful people who found themselves in the way of vampires. Today, however, it appears that a lot of wooden stakes are being
sharpened.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

The rest of the article in which that quote appears is full of falsehoods and Zionist propaganda. Suffice it to say that the writer refers to “Judea and Samaria,” which is the Zionist name for the West Bank. One of the most easily disproved of her falsehoods is that she says that the Zionist Entity released “terrorists” during the pause in the fighting. It is well known and well documented that most of those released were in administrative detention, a Zionist Entity legal nicety for holding anyone without charge for indefinite periods. It is stipulated to be six months – if memory serves – but it can be extended for indefinite six-month periods. Some of the detainees had been under administrative detention for years. Some of them were minors when apprehended and were still minors when released. Never charged with anything. Some of the others were minors accused of throwing stones, hardly a terrorist activity. Especially as the stone throwing is usually aimed at soldiers of the occupying army. Occupation soldiers are legitimate targets. But the Zionist term “terrorist” is used to designate all persons of Palestinian Arab descent. Maybe that is what our author meant.

Regarding the our sad, young nation & the ignorant fools in charge, who are Behind The Mass Slaughter In Gaza, silver tongued former CIA analyst Larry Johnson shares his insight on Dec 3
https://youtu.be/ZQO4hM3qNSs?si=p3kgN_Tp2_RQCDiZ
(39.5 min interview)
From the transcript:

About the USA: 18:21:
“We’re not going to surrender ourselves to some sort of global vision of wokeness of so-called diversity equity and inclusion which is designed to promote deviant lifestyles of all sorts and diminish any kind of sense of national pride… If you no longer care about yourself and have pride in yourself and you become a disheveled unkept slob, well you know that tends to affect other areas of your life as well. The same applies to nation states…
It’s not a coincidence of the rising crime level in the the United States, of the breakup of families, of the failure to protect the Border. People want to pretend that those are all unconnected. They’re not. The rampant drug use and failure to have any kind of discipline with respect to federal spending… the United States is an example of what happens when a country loses its Vision about caring for itself.
…if every country in the world would put itself first, then worrying about others we would actually have a better more stable world to live in because at least everybody would know what the top priorities were and what you needed to do in terms of having potential compromises with another country or if nothing else just staying out of their business. Don’t be a meddling mother-in-law
22:35: “Israel has turned itself into a bunch of authoritarian Thugs… I say this as someone who used to… stand with Israel… I no longer can because of their conduct of how they’re treating Palestinians as subhumans. They’re making no distinction between the Hamas fighters who committed terrorist acts and the Palestinian people… The Israeli…mad man who’s in charge of domestic so-called domestic Security in Israel… issued an order to police… to go out and arrest and crack down on any Palestinian 25:31 … found celebrating the release of Palestinian prisoners. Think about that. What sort of madman self-important deluded evil person would issue such an order… you know if you’ve been waiting for a loved one that’s been locked up for months years and they come out and you’re told that you can’t Weep For Joy. You can’t shout uh praises to God that they’re released and you’re going to get arrested for that that’s what we’re talking about…

Your saying, “Shia is a National Liberation Theology developed by Iranians (Zoroastrians) when Arabs (Muslims) conquered Persia. It was the most practical way of transforming the religion of enemy against him, inventing a split in the mainstream Islam,” is not historically correct.
Shi`ism arose out of the early political split among the Muhammad’s companions which led to the first civil war of 656-661. At that time, it was only a political split, with the Shi`i legitimists saying everything would be perfect if only `Ali or one of his descendants was the ruler instead of the usurping Umayyads, who ruled 661-750. The Umayyads were overthrown by a Shi`i revolt that placed the `Abbasids in power, but, as they were not descendants of `Ali, many of the Shi`is rejected them as well. Only after 750 did Sunnism and Shi`ism really develop as separate religious sects.
All of this happened within a context of mainly “Arab” Islam, as it took Islam quite a long time to spread to the non-Arabs. Of course, there was no nationalism or national identity at the time. Because the Pahlavi or Middle Persian language was only cultivated in writing by a tiny literate minority, it quickly disappeared as a written language when the Sasanian ruling family was overthrown by the Muslim invasion by 651 and continued to be cultivated only by the Zoroastrians, who dwindled to a small minority over the next three centuries. Arabic became the written language, and Persian only reemerged slowly in its Modern Persian form, starting in Sistan, mostly after 900, while Arabic remained the vehicle of the religion to this day.
Early Shi`ism was not a particular vehicle for resistance, as there were numerous Shi`i ruling dynasties, including the Fatimids based in North Africa, then Egypt (909-1171) and the Iranian Buyids in Iran and Iraq (945-1055). Also, Iran remained a majority Sunni country until 1500, when the Safavids (1500-1736) imposed Shi`ism as the state cult. That said, Shi`is did resist Sunni domination, and often were strong in mountain redoubts like Mazanderan, Yemen, Eastern Tajikistan, Badakhshan, Hazarajat, and so on, where they resisted conquest by larger empires.
It was not so much Shi`ism that became a vehicle of resistance against oppressive rulers; rather, it was all of Islam, as the conquered peoples united to turn the tables on their conquerers by adopting Islam as a liberating ideology, starting with the North African Berbers whose revolt in 740 broke the back of the Umayyad caliphate. Hence the spread of Islam. Throughout history, the Muslim clerical or scholarly class curtailed the possibilities of state building by the rulers by, for example, only allowed four kinds of taxes as legitimate, and these were utterly insufficient to fund the state, so the state always had to exist in a limbo or illegitimacy, often controlled by military dictators despised by the population. The weakness of Muslim states enabled the European imperialists to bowl them over in the modern colonial period (although the Turks fought really well in resisting in 1911-1923).
Shi`ism as a particular vehicle for liberation in the context of modern nation-states only took form in the 20th century. Meanwhile, Sunnis have had parallel movements, but none has succeeded like the Iranian Revolution, whose success, as you point out, has been mixed.
This is a really huge and complicated history, of which what I have written is only the barest summary.

“Is support for DOI fracturing in the Deep State/MIC ?”
This fracturing is the main dangerous possibility for the powers that be, because the Gaza crisis and its actual, undisguisable genocide reveal that Israel’s interests are in conflict with those of its western backers. What this should lead to is a rejection of the Zionist discourse coupled with an expulsion of its advocates from all positions of power.
However, those advocates are very, very powerful and are thoroughly interwoven into the power structure, so the effects of such an effort would be explosive and destructive to that structure itself. Also, even though the Zionists in power themselves are a minority of the elite per se, there total dedication to their cause over many decades adds significantly to their strength, which is why their narrative has not been seriously challenged until now.
This has to result in a rough ride inside the US, whatever the eventual outcome.

All the F15s, F16s, F35s, Apache helicopters.
All the Iron Dome system, run from US bases in Germany.
The whole cost of the Merkava tank programme.
While the whole cost of the Dolphin nuclear missile submarines comes courtesy of Merkel, Sergeant Schulz, and Fritz the German taxpayer.
All this comes completely free. It costs Shlomo absolutely nothing, zilch, nada.

We have met the enemy & it is us! With all due respect, those who are pessimistic & hopeless about our future are victims of the ruling elite, who
want us to be dumbed down & doped up, so they can continue to hold the reins of power.
Pessimistic folks who say/think: ‘thing will never change’ are hereby encouraged to look at the developments of the last 100 years & to recognize that there is a more or less equal & opposite side to both ‘sides’.
The powers that be want us to look on the dark side only & to throw in the towel without a fight. Our Navy has youngsters, many from impovershed backgrounds, in their “Information Warfare ops”, (1) who obediently follow orders given by traitor psychopaths who are following orders from ‘higher’ traitor psychopaths & so on. Apparently they think deceiving the masses on a grand scale is a sign of their intelligence. They work very hard to keep us in the darkness of Big Lies. (2)
Thanks to the internet, relative freedom of speech & many thoughtful, bright concerned citizens – humanity is beginning to wake up and see itself as it really is in the light of truth. Dysfunctional families/nations are NOT doomed to eternity in miserable states of mind.
Everyone knows the first step to solving any problem is to recognize & define it. Refusing to face all relevant facts, because it would be very inconvenient is NOT helpful. Cancerous tumors that are ignored, grow larger. None of us have all the answers/solutions, but when we put our heads together, solutions will be found.

“Wait until 50-100k are killed.
Israel is going all-in and i can’t even blame them; except they should have the balls to attack Egypt or Jordan, then push their undesirables there. Still nasty but not as much as killing women and children.”
Yes, the growing death toll, what is it now, over 16,000 known deaths at the moment (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/longform/2023/10/9/israel-hamas-war-in-maps-and-charts-live-tracker), is going to make Israel more despised with every uptick, and the memory of the atrocity also longer. If it tops 100,000, it becomes a really huge genocide; if it reaches 1 million, which is not impossible, it will be remembered for eternity as the Palestinian Holocaust, it will diminish or shove aside the memory of the Jewish Holocaust, and it will be impossible for Israel and the Zionists to live down, ever.
As for driving the Palestinians instead into Egypt, and the West Bank ones into Jordan, that is really no less heinous and criminal than killing them. As has often been pointed out here, Sinai is a waterless desert without the means of sustenance for the 2.3 million Gazans, nor would Egypt accept it, with the Egyptian prime minister even saying that Egypt was prepared to sacrifice millions of its people to protect its territory. Nor can they be moved elsewhere, because who would have them? The US had a hard enough time getting countries like Uruguay and Albania to take a tiny handful of Guantanamo detainees, so who will take a couple of million? Dream on, Zionists.
As for Jordan, it is not appreciated sufficiently what a densely-crowded country Jordan is, and also a place with very inadequate water resources. Today, the constituent pieces of Palestine, namely Green-Line Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza have a population of about 14 million, while Jordan has 11 million, nearly all of them crammed into the habitable northwestern ten percent of its land area, a much, much smaller area than Palestine. Because of the various expulsions of Palestinians of 1948-1949, 1967, and onward, Israel has created one of the largest of all Arab cities, Amman, with a metropolitan area population of at least 5.5 million, way bigger than any Israel city and comparable to (although still less than) the whole Jewish population of Israel. And they want to cram still more into this tiny area? Nope.

If the British empire was acquired in a fit of absent mindedness, As Professor Seeley suggested, and he wasn’t entirely wrong, the Balfour declaration seems to have been a perfect example of the sort of folly that lay behind the acquisition of so many odds and ends of empire.
There were eleven drafts of the Declaration but very little thought, and that at a very low level, went into it. It was produced by a Belarus chemist working at the University of Manchester- Chiam Weizmann- who managed to con some fairly low level and inexperienced Foreign Office aides into believing that a national home for Jews in Palestine would benefit Britain.
It never did. On the contrary it produced nothing but trouble and expense- shattering the accord that Britain had built up with the Arabs over the course of the World War.
Of course anything can be rationalised ex post facto and a lot of hard work, both Zionist and British, has gone into the justification of the Declaration and its consequences over the past century. None of it is particularly convincing. But for those who believe that the British Empire was run by cunning satanists, rather than jumped up schoolboys oblivious to anything involving persistent thought, the belief that Israel was all part of the master plan (cue 1694, Free masons, and the Hanoverian Royal Family) such things are a must.

“The neighboring borders have been closed for too long, but it is now clear that in order to free the Gazan population from the tyrannical oppression of Hamas and to allow them to live free of war and bloodshed, Israel must encourage the international community to find the correct, moral and humane avenues for the relocation of the Gazan population.”
“The plan even goes so far as to envision how many Gazan residents each of these countries will receive: one million in Egypt (constituting 0.9% of the population there), half a million for Turkey (0.6% of the population in Turkey), 250,000 for Iraq (0.6% of the Iraqi population), and another 250,000 for Yemen (0.75% of the overall population there currently).”

Re: Command Resposibility

Article 28 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court codified the doctrine of command responsibility.[8] With Article 28(a), military commanders are imposed with individual responsibility for crimes committed by forces under their effective command and control if they
either knew or, owing to the circumstances at the time, should have known that the forces were committing or about to commit such crimes.[7][8][18]
It uses the stricter “should have known” standard of mens rea, instead of “had reason to know”

After a seven-day lull in the war between Israel and the Palestinian armed groups in Gaza, the resumption of hostilities has been given another green light from Washington. Having failed to lead its Israeli allies towards military victory, the US is permitting a dangerous escalation and rejects a peaceful solution that will prevent further civilian suffering.
Just minutes after the departure of US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, from Palestine/Israel, the war in Gaza resumed, with a large aerial onslaught on Palestinian civilian infrastructure resulting in the deaths of nearly 200 civilians. The White House spokesperson John Kirby announced continued support for Israel’s “right and responsibility to go after Hamas,” but to what end is unclear. As the likes of former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak admits that Hamas is far from falling apart, it begs the question: what really is the point of this war?

Israel can’t defeat Hamas in battle, so what’s next?

I assume because it would be too disruptive and time consuming to give me the full Empire brainwashing in limited class time. I was forced by the History teacher to sit opposite him.every lunchtime , eating in silence, his nose out of joint and sticking out of the side of his face because some pipsqueak dared to challenge the accepted amorality of things.
British political thought resembled the Roman Catholic view of sin, that belief in Jesus would redeem British genocidal colonial crimes. It won’t. They are lying. Now they are hiding under the petticoats of the US, the Atlantacist fuckers ever excelling themselves in praising and assisting US war crimes. Maybe the Brits did Nordstream.
These skills are only for the children of political parents, and for anybody else who mercenary enough to acquire them.
US is carrying British genocidal sins now that Jesus’s magical powers have been proved to be an invention.
Our enemy is extreme stupidity and the fiat dollar gravy train.

“Your saying, “Shia is a National Liberation Theology developed by Iranians (Zoroastrians) when Arabs (Muslims) conquered Persia. It was the most practical way of transforming the religion of enemy against him, inventing a split in the mainstream Islam,” is not historically correct.

Shi`ism as a particular vehicle for liberation in the context of modern nation-states only took form in the 20th century. …

Historical correctness from which point of view? Of course what is correct for a bourgeoisie-liberal and perhaps religious person is not automatically correct for a Marxist and vice versa.
My views are based on studies done by Soviet historians Barthold, Petroshovsky and Iranian Communist philosopher Ehsan Tabari.
Zeydiyan, Gheramateh, Esmailiyeh, Shia Imamiyeh (Shia Jafari) were all ideological leaders of the popular movement in Iran prior to the 20th century.
Iran prior to 20th century.

I am not contesting that there have been many, many revolutionary movements in Muslim history, many having a class basis. But don’t you think you overgeneralize? Shi`i religious scholars have often collaborated with governments when those were Shi`i, like the cooperation of Muhammad Baqir Majlisi with the Safavids. On the other hand, most of the scholars, whether Sunni or Shi`i, kept their distance from the rulers according to the Prophet’s dictum, “Whoever frequents the gates of the ruler suffers temptation/corruption/discord (Arabic fitnah).” And it is clearly not the case that Shi`ism as a whole was an Iranian Zoroastrian reaction against the Arab tribes who invaded Iran at the outset. The whole course of Islam was to some extent a reaction against that in all the areas of Arab-led expansion, and Shi`ism per se was an internal movement that did not mainly arise in Iran but rather in Iraq and elsewhere including Yemen and North Africa, and its being centered in Iran, alongside Iraq and Lebanon, is mostly a development that postdates 1500.

“Everyone understands that we can’t fight this war without the United States”
After Israel wins the war, their first priority will be to fix this. The peace that will break out when the US fails prevent victory will be the start of a new era of prosperity in the ME which will provide Israel with the economic factors needed to produce all their own stuff.
They wisely did it with the Merkeva and producing iron bomb casings and glide kits and 155 and small arms ammunition will be just a doable.
Sorry to tell all the “Anti-Zionists” (Jew Haters) here: the time of Jacobs trouble will come, just not in this war. This war will lead to destruction for Hamas and Hezbollah and to what will appear to be peace.

In his conversation with Judge Napolitano yesterday, Crooke provided the following info from Hamas/Hezbollah: “No more Sykes/Picot; we’ll be deciding who runs Gaza when this is over.” Thus, the announcement that this will be a long civilizational war, one the Zionists have brought to Palestine by their actions. Also, Jordan’s position is finally made clear, which is relayed in the last five minutes of the talk.
As I’ve written before, the Ukraine conflict is important for Russia mostly, while the conflict in Palestine is Big Picture important for Humanity as it’s all about Justice for Palestinians as the world’s two biggest criminal nations try to make Genocide a reality in Gaza.

The NYT on 11/4 printed the story “Militant Rocket Hit Base Linked to Israeli Nuclear Missile Program”. It links to a declassified document from 1969 in which Kissinger tries to determine the best way to deal with the emerging Israeli Nuclear Program. It is quite long but illustrates that not much has changed in our relationship, as Israel can still do as they please.

” On the other hand, most of the scholars, whether Sunni or Shi`i, kept their distance from the rulers according to the Prophet’s dictum, “Whoever frequents the gates of the ruler suffers temptation/corruption/discord (Arabic fitnah ”
Inscription of Allah and Ali have been found on headgear in Viking tombs. From this I suggest that the political success of the English comes from a Norseman ‘s understanding of God and King, together with a Byzantine Orthodox Celtic tradition of God as opposed to the Romsn Catholic Trinitarian bollocks.
I assume God can put in power exactly who He likes, and at the time these Vikings and their understanding of Monotheism was the closest available thing to the Sunni Islam that we have now in Britain.
I certainly never understood the late and much respected Queen Elizabeth 2 of being a Trinitarian.
My understanding of the Pilgrim Fathers is that they understood the system.of colonialism and purued it Westward at exactly the same time that the rest of Britain decided to pursue colonialism in an Eastward direction. The shadow of Puritanism and Bible knowledge in the English/ French / Dutch and German languages meant that criminality was best done far away from home.
So the answer to our host’s question
” Who is really behind the mass slaughter in Gaza? “, is not the people of the US, Britain, France , Germany and Netherlands, but the criminal , colonial classes whose multi-generational , ex-pat criminality has blinded them to the concept of right and wrong.
The solution therefore falls on us who live in the West to destroy these criminals who are acting our name, before somebody else sitting in Moscow or Beijing decides they have to do it for us, which might be more painful.in the long run.

One of Israel’s biggest allies in the region is Azerbaijan which although a secular country still has a Shia majority population.
Israel also supported Iran against Saddam who was a Sunni in the 80s.
It’s not as black and white as you have prorated.
Posted by: Ahmed | Dec 5 2023 10:51 utc | 16

Again I’m not the Ahmed that made this comment or any of the comments on page 1.
First let me answer some of the different things you mentioned in your comment

Israel also supported Iran against Saddam who was a Sunni in the 80s.

Over here you describe Saddam as a Sunni. Now you should know there’s a huge difference between claiming to be something and trying to live according to it, and claiming something nominally or in passing. Saddam was a brutal dictator, if you want to claim him under Sunnism you only do a disservice to Sunnism. In reality he was a brutal, bloody despot. He was ultimately secular who used religion to play to his audience.

One of Israel’s biggest allies in the region is Azerbaijan which although a secular country still has a Shia majority population.

Azerbaijan is heavily supported by the Turks and used by the Israelis to have a presence near Iran’s border. Some Israeli politican openly said “if Iran wants to come by our border we will go by their border.” You mention yourself that Azerbaijan is a secular country. Its also important to remember that Azerbaijan was a part of the USSR where religion was deemphasized, so their recent history would show you why they wont be standard bears of shi’ism.

Israel also supported Iran against Saddam who was a Sunni in the 80s.

Now I don’t know exactly what you mean by this, but I’m assuming you mean the Iran contra. Lot of the arab media specifically the saudi’s and the emirati’s and other arab media aligned with them push this conspiracy that Iran is working with Israel and United States, mainly to hide their own and obvious alliance with the US and Israel, and to keep their sheep subjects under their thumb. And they keep mentioning the Iran Contra affair as their main example, but they don’t even fully understand the Iran contra affair or even explain it fully because for them its just about propaganda.
First some back background information for Iran Contra. Before the Islamic revolution, the Shah who was a pure puppet of America almost exculisvely bought American weapons, it’s important to remember this. He was overthrown in 1979 and Saddam attacked Iran with the backing of America, Europe, Soviets, and all the Arab gulf countries. So all the weapons Iran was using during this war was the stuff purchased from America during the Shahs time in power. As the war dragged on a lot of the weapons started falling into disrepair from usage. Meanwhile in Lebanon you started having the early stages of the group that would eventually become hezballah, and they took captured some American hostages. So eventually Iran used these hostages to get some weapons it needed from America. Now for some of those weapons America told Israel to pass it over to the Iranians and that America would replenish Israel’s stock at a later date. Again Iran needed these weapons as they were caught up in a bloody struggle with Saddam. So there was no such thing as America and Israel supporting Iran, it’s nonsense made up by the arabs monarchs.

I was invited to a Synagogue service in an affluent West Coast liberal area to celebrate the story of Esther.. It was the most bizarre thing I ever imagined as Ii am accustomed to mild mannered Protestants. The Jews were celebrating the Cannonite genocide because they were strong and the Rabbi told them everyone hates you because you are Jewish, complete with rock band. I was always skeptical about the most egregious antisemitic tropes, but it clearly struck me as an ancient death cult wrapped up in a modern package. My friend thought nothing of it.

Similar here.
I attended a Kristallnacht Commemoration at the Central Synagogue in London on Nov. 9.
The Gaza genocide was already in full swing, of course.
One rabbi thundered from the pulpit about “the enemies of Israel.”
Written bits addressed to the congregation included (which I have and am typing from):
“Our Father in Heaven, rock and Redeemer of Israel [[[actually this language sounds to me more Christian than Jewish]]
“We come before You in prayer and supplication, stunned and heartbroken by the merciless atrocities carried out against our beloved State of Israel and its People, turning the Festival of our Rejoicing** into a day of our suffering. . . .[[UC as in orig.]]
“Almighty God, protect the families of Israel from the threat of terror and give strength to the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, whose lives are in danger as they confront our enemies. . . .”
And so on. Not an ounce of reflection nor thought for the bombed innocents of Gaza nor the provocations of the attack (ongoing ethnic cleansing and murder; settler violence; swarming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and plan to destroy it and replace with Temple).
**I also don’t know what is meant by “Festival of Rejoicing” in a commemoration of Kristallnacht.
It is all really meshuggeh.

Partially true.
Ollie North was running guns down to the contras in Nicaragua while bringing cocaine back to the US. The profits from the coke were used to purchase weapons and parts for Iran (while the official US line was supplying intelligence and chemical weapons to Saddam) and the zionists were handling the delivery of those to Iran, while getting their shekel cut of course.
It’s good to keep in mind that Persia has hundreds if not thousands of years of history in tolerating and even welcoming jews.

“But don’t you think you overgeneralize? Shi`i religious scholars have often collaborated with governments when those were Shi`i, like the cooperation of Muhammad Baqir Majlisi with the Safavids.”
Ask the question, Why Bagher Majlesi cooperated with Safavids?
My answer: Uzbeks (sunni) in East and Ottomans (Sunni) in West were threatening Iran.
Can we generalize this logic for the entire history of Islamization of Iran and every single Shia leader.
My answer: Of course not, nevertheless often enough.
“And it is clearly not the case that Shi`ism as a whole was an Iranian Zoroastrian reaction against the Arab tribes who invaded Iran at the outset. The whole course of Islam was to some extent a reaction against that in all the areas of Arab-led expansion, and Shi`ism per se was an internal movement that did not mainly arise in Iran but rather in Iraq and elsewhere including Yemen and North Africa”
I suggest you put this in a historical context (a process) and not as a snapshot in the beginning of Islam. Shia prior to conquest of Persia was a demonstration of inner-Arab political conflicts. Iranians picked one special branch of Shia (line of Ali) and utilized it against Arabs. It’s a completely different Shia.
Abbasid had also a Shia faction, but Arab oppressor type of Shia. Neither Social Justice nor Readiness to Sacrifice were on the agenda by Abbasid.

Who Is Really Behind The Mass Slaughter In Gaza?
Various suspects have been pointed to: Israel, US, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Australia. Undoubtedly the closer you are to using the weapons and providing the financing, and the higher up the political food chain you are, the more responsibility you have.
But I also place responsibility on my own friends and aquaintances who pretend to care about “civilians” but will never risk their cushy jobs (what David Graeber calls bullshit jobs) to speak up or do anything. This includes a doctor friend (normally this would not be considered a bullshit job) who insisted when I challenged them that not being allowed to see a doctor for 10 days if your fever does not go away within 3-4 days is best standards in medical practice. Needless to say when said individual had “covid” and a very sore throat, they got themselves an antibiotics prescription on day TWO.
The hypocrisy and silence of the professional elites across the key countries which hold power at the UN is key to enabling the slaughter in Gaza. If all the academics lawyers, media, doctors, government employees, environental and other NGO employees, finance and other corporate employees etc had kicked up a huge fuss abouth the slaughter it would not be happening. It should be THE ONLY office gossip topic at the water cooler. The people I know who speak up and care are either young / freelancing professionals / “blue collar” types (those with important real jobs who recognize oppression when they see it).
However, the actual genocide in Gaza does not compare to the hypothetical genocide that COULD be happening:
The uber progressive Nation has an editorial by DD Guttenplan which includes this gem:
“the leadership of Hamas remains as committed as ever to its genocidal fantasy that the road to a free Palestine must be paved with the bodies of dead Jews.”
Guttenplan (of US Jewish origin according to Wikipedia therefore it must be true) somehow knows about Hamas’ genocidal fantasies even if his journalistic integrity does not extend to include the dead Jews killed by their own Israeli Genocidal Forces.
The Nation has several decent articles but somehow they can’t help but attack the only resistance movement that stands up for Palestinians.
Palestinians are only worthy of sympathy if they’re being exterminated, tortured, mained and we see the bloody wounded carnage. The moment any Palestinian takes some agency and tries to set the agenda, suddenly they become the enemy.
This is exactly the underhanded double standard in the “progressive liberal” Western media that enables Zionism as the last bastion of Western settler colonialism to continue.
ps: let’s also blame the Arabs and Muslims for sitting on their backsides and not dumping more fuel on the fire and setting off more explosive “civilization clash”.
Why not.
After all they only have a choice between being on the Axis of Evil, the Axis of Puppets, or best of all the Axis of Evil Puppets.

While I agree with your interpretation of democracy, Democratic Rights is something different and indeed very important.
Democratic Rights are everything you have to fight for in a capitalist society:
– Housing, everyone should have a shelter
– Employment, everyone has a right to be employed
– Government financed education from kindergarten to university
– Health Insurance
– Right to organize in a Trade Union
– …
I was talking about Democratic Rights and not Democracy.

In many ways, Lyndon Johnson owed his political career to Abe Fortas, a committed Zionist and the attorney who masterminded his defense in the 1948 election “dispute”. Fortas remained a counselor to Johnson throughout his career; Johnson named him to a Supreme Court vacancy in 1965. Both West Germany and the US sold weapons to Israel. Kennedy had sold Hawk interceptor missiles to Israel in 1962. The USSR had sold modern weapons to Egypt and the UAR.

IMO, B’s question has a very straight forward and definitive answer.. it goes back to the day Lincoln was shot.
the real driving force comes from private for profit interest..its been the same since 1650(when the enclosures acts began) today the commodity of interest is oil, gas and pipeline, but in the past was slaves and whale oil. and spices from the orient. Oil, gas and pipeline profits drive the persons that are put in charge of governments by those who make the profits. In the case of Gaza its about oil, gas and pipelines designed to take Russia out of the oil and gas markets. so its about competition. Yep! Energy is the key. IMO, the fracking panacea was seen similarly to Ukraine’s supposed military prowess–both are illusions as nothing’s being done to access the hydrocarbons in the Beaufort Sea. Not even infrastructure is being built, nor are any ice breakers being built that would be needed in that region. This site[https://infos10.com/largest-oil-reserves-in-the-world/?ysclid=loyyfzfhj1408111033%5D lists the proven reserves of the top ten oil extracting nations, with the Outlaw US Empire at #10 with 47.1 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. However, it extracts an average of 13.1 million barrels per day, which is 4.7 Billion barrels annually. Simple math says that’s only a ten year supply at the current rate of extraction. Of course, there’s the ever mystical probable reserves, but only proven reserves are allowed to be listed on corporate balance sheets. You’ll notice that Canada is listed as #4, but that is very misleading as most of Canada’s hydrocarbon reserves are in the form of bitumen, which is a solid, and for it to flow and thus be refined it must be mixed with water and natural gas–two resources that don’t exist in the amounts required to turn those proven reserves into something usable.
The linked table and this short missive tell several tales from the past, the present, and the future. Add the very unstable dollar system to the mix and several scenarios are possible, some very unsavory.

You never know , bunker bombs might release water from underground. Then they’d have to quickly pull them back into Palestine to grab it for themselves.
The sum total of what Israel doesn’t understand compared to the wisdom of one Palestinian child’s fingernail!
If the Gazans leave, maybe one US bunkerbomb and Israel might end up submerged under the Mediterranian Sea , Red Sea style.

thanks for this must-read!, Jane
See Laurent Guyenot’s new work on all of the Kennedy assassinations, published at the Unz Review. There is also an excellent video out on the oddity of how many Jewish businessmen and mobsters were involved in all phases of the Dallas event (plus the Oliver Stone flick).
Funny, that . . . .

IMO Guyenot makes some good revelations, but gets way to wrapped around the Israel axle on JFK’s assassination. Surely there were members of the Jewish mafia involved in many ways, and right wing Zionist interests certainly had reason to dislike him, even to participate in his killing. But I’ve watched Guyenot’s film and he fails to connect some dots in his attempt to paint Israel as basically the sole perpetrating party/mastermind behind it.

Your saying, “Shia is a National Liberation Theology developed by Iranians (Zoroastrians) when Arabs (Muslims) conquered Persia. It was the most practical way of transforming the religion of enemy against him, inventing a split in the mainstream Islam,” is not historically correct.

That’s a polite way of saying it is horse shit. Iran wasn’t even Shia until the Safavid’s showed up and shoved it down everyone’s throat. These stories were part of the propaganda created from back then actually by them when makig Shia islam official state religion. That’s the only thing historic about them.
The political power struggle in Islam began right from the beginning and it occurred in Medina, far away from Persia.
If anything, Shia’s very much resemble the Sephardic Jews in their religiosity and even physical characteristics. And it kinda makes sense. You have 12 tribes, 12 sons of Jacob and 12 Imams. By a fabulous turn of events, the “Iranian subversion of Islam” indicates Iranians are to be lorded over by descendants of a non-Iranian, from a special family. You could say they are chosen.
Oy vey, Framarz. What I absolutely love about all this is that in a way it is true then, since Judaism was an Persian empire invention and now Iranians are learning that Karma is indeed a bitch.

Explainer for my typically uninformed usa american friend:
“Hamas is the grieving father who waited and waited for the justice system to punish the man who brutally raped and killed his daughter. When it didn’t, he killed the evil bastard himself. The Houthis are his brother who helped him get it done. Israel is the worthless toxic rapist murderer who forfeited his right to draw another breath when he committed the disgusting crime. The usa? Used your tax money to pay for the criminal’s defense.”

In 1967, #Israel lost 776 soldiers and occupied the Sinai peninsula, the Golan Heights, the West Bank, Gaza & East Jerusalem in only 6-days. It defeated Egypt, Jordan, & Syria.
In 2023, Israel lost over 1000 soldiers and didn’t occupy 360 sqm against a resistance group in #Gaza.
In 2023, the #US, #UK, #France, #Germany & #Italy r in an operations room in Tel Aviv supporting #Israel. The US has sent 3 aircraft carriers along with significant naval support. 2000 Delta Force is in Israel, & the US military base is providing intelligence & planning support….
After 57 days, the Palestinian resistance is still firing rockets at the settlements and cities despite the presence of thousands of soldiers and tanks in #Gaza…..
The image of the “invincible army” has been shattered forever, replaced by a well-deserved “child killer army”

Are you familiar with the series from the History Channel, “The Men Who Killed Kennedy” ?
See episode 9, “The Guilty Men”, which details LBJ’s involvement with the murder of JFK.
There were 9 episodes, which you can find on the net if you look. I recommend episode 1, “The Men Who Killed Kennedy: Part 1 The Coup d’Etat” and episode 6, “The Truth Shall Set You Free”

With the current debacle going on in Israel, have had some interesting thots. I’ve read deeply into the background of Israel’s “justification” for their genocide that’s underway, and it occured to me that anyone paying attention would question their beliefs if they think about the “biblical” descriptions of the “chosen peoples” actions of 2 millenia ago. While I’m not a deeply religious person, I have been following the depredations against the orthodox church in Ukraine, had some experiences in Kiev I would describe as emotionally religious but didn’t cause me to attend church. But as I read “Gods” directions to the Jews and predecessors in the Bible, to attack their enemies and kill every man, woman, and child, and all their animals, and salt the fields so they cant be productive, (and there are more than one instance of such directions) I wonder how the hell anyone can buy into a Christian Religion that holds the Bible holy and unchallengeable. And support Israel who uses these “Holy Scriptures” as a basis for what they’re doing! And every politician and religious leader in this country accepts and encourages Israel to continue with the bloodletting, and even extend it into Lebanon, Syria, and Iran! I don’t remember any of these clowns asking me to support a death wish! Or to support using 2,000 pound blockbuster bombs and depleted Uranium munitions that we produce , pay for, and send them! And layer on top of that “love your neighbor as yourself” etc.

I don’t really know where to post this having watched the two Alex’s discourse on Kissinger.
https://t.me/thedurancom/14158 also is. Some tube somewhere.
‘Ambitious Man’ says Alexander. For personal gain and imperial dominance.
Ambitious for what? Did he have a legacy? Did he have heirs? A dynasty that he was building?
Or was he just a hired hand? With a Napoleon Complex?
An actual modern day Emperor Napoleon (or Rhodes , Churchill, Roosevelt etc ) hired and trained to run the Empire?
To finally help win it for his generation?
That’s what and who he was, just a hireling. A murderous psychopath raised to run the Firm.
I am a tad disappointed that the Duran boys failed to mention who hired Kissinger and who he was hothoused with and the fact that even Reagan was always part of that team.
I am also concerned that they didn’t make more of his role as Nixon’s unwanted Minder. Keeping that potus on a leash. And when he got too frisky ushering him off stage. I guess Richard had enough explosive secret recordings with Ford, Bush, Reagan and Kissinger admitting that ‘John’ had indeed been assassinated with the US DS complicity or something.
They couldn’t just put a bullet in Nixon’s head. Because he had the goods on them from inside the Oval Office. There is no other explanation to Nixon’s triumphal departure from the WH. Unbowed but ignored thereafter.
Tricky Dicky!!
What is a further glaring failure is to not mention Kissingers mentor!
‘While attending high school and college, Kissinger worked at a shaving brush factory. He pursued accounting while at City College of New York; however, his studies were cut short when he was drafted to fight in World War II.
Kissinger’s fluency in German helped him rise through the army’s ranks, out of the infantry, eventually landing him in military intelligence. The Jewish refugee was thus put in charge of tracking down Gestapo officers, and later of overseeing the denazification of parts of Germany.’
Enter – ‘Kissinger’s Kissinger:  Dr. Fritz Kraemer
Dr. Fritz Kraemer was the most influential German in the Pentagon from 1952 to 1978. Geostrategic Advisor to the U.S. Army Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Defense. The true “Dr. Strangelove” – complete with monocle and walking stick, a last Prussian on the Potomac River in Washington DC.
A German emigrant to the U.S., born in Essen in 1908, with a Christian denomination but Jewish roots. Kraemer, an intellectual with two PhD’s, scraped a living as farm worker for five years. In 1944 he was conscripted and thus became a U.S. citizen.
Kraemer discovered and mentored two U.S. Secretaries of State: Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig. In 1944, he met the 19-year old soldier Henry Kissinger who had also emigrated from Germany. He formed – as “Kissinger’s Kissinger” – his thinking and world outlook and fought with him in the 84th U.S. Infantry Division for the liberation of Europe. Kissinger himself writes about it in the new book “True Keeper of the Holy Flame” by Hubertus Hoffmann.
Kraemer placed young Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Haig with newly appointed National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger in the White House.  ‘
‘Henning-Hubertus Baron von Steuben puts Fritz Kraemer alongside one of his ancestors Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, the first Inspector General of the U.S. Army under George Washington: “Steuben and Kraemer have, at the intervals of two centuries, put their mark on the United States Army as officers through their deeply rooted Prussian values such as integrity, honour, discipline and duty for their homeland and coined the United States Army with their spirit.” ‘
‘After leaving the army, Kissinger enrolled at Harvard University and began to refine his political thought. He became active in politics as a foreign policy adviser to Nelson Rockefeller, an affluent, liberal Republican from New York. After Rockefeller lost the 1968 Republican primary to Nixon, Kissinger jumped ship and began working for the soon-to-be president.’
‘President Richard Nixon is heard in the last set of his White House tapes making anti-Semitic statements in discussions with visitors to the Oval Office and by telephone.
The 340 hours of tapes, which cover from April 9, 1973 to July 12, 1973, were released Wednesday by the Nixon Presidential Library. They are the last set of tapes that will be released by the library.
In a phone discussion in mid-April with Henry Kissinger,’
‘who at the time was the national security adviser, Nixon expresses concerns that Jews would torpedo an upcoming US-Soviet summit. If that happened, Nixon said, “Let me say, Henry, it’s gonna be the worst thing that happened to Jews in American history.” He added, “If they torpedo this summit — and it might go down for other reasons — I’m gonna put the blame on them, and I’m going to do it publicly at 9 o’clock at night before 80 million people.”
He continued: “They put the Jewish interest above America’s interest, and it’s about goddamn time that the Jew in America realizes he’s an American first and a Jew second.” ‘
[ Nixon’s only failure was that he didn’t realise the difference between the Zion empire and its Masters and the Jewish religion. He appears not to have even referred to Zionism! Not even been aware of its lineage back to at least the early C19th. Or even its veiled role over previous times. Even I. The setting up of the Independent America and the civil war that led to the USA.
Maybe there are other tapes never to be released that did speak to that and allowed him not suffer the same fate as ‘John’. ]
‘When asked about appointees, Nixon tells presidential counselor Anne Armstrong there should be “No Jews. We are adamant when I say no Jews. … But Mexicans are important. Italians, Eastern Europeans. That sort of thing.”
Nixon accused the Jews of holding American foreign policy “hostage to Jewish emigration from the Soviet Union,” and added that “the American people are not going to let them destroy our foreign policy — never!”
Future presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush are heard in conversations recorded on the tapes offering Nixon support during the Watergate affair.
Nixon on previous tapes was heard making anti-Semitic remarks about Jewish politicians and others.’
And in the final failure of continuity there was a no mention of Kissinger’s ‘heir’ of imperial Zionist police – Brezinsky! And the headless hyenas that came after Clinton ,Bush Jnr, Blair the neocons right up to today. They who are filling their boots as their Empire collapses around kissingers not yet shrivelled remains.
Come on Duran guys ! Could you do better? Anyway I’ll possibly post it to another thread as it only barely seems to stick to topic here?

clearing the Palestinians out of Gaza is a must for the gas pipeline deals designed to be profitable, the western oil interest must force Russia out of the market (Europe).

Right, so it’s all about gas, and not about Zionism, colonialism, ethnic cleansing, eradicating Palestinians from Palestine since 1890 and 1922 and 1967 …. from Hertzl to all the rest, it’s not about genocide of Palestinians men women and children for decades, it all just about the Gas …. if it wasn’t for the Gas the Settlers would be having Palestinians from Jenin over for Afternoon Tea and a game of checkers.
I’m curious why isn’t there a well worn approbation term called Racist Anti-Palestinianism in use all over the media for decades already and being condemned 24/7 and national Laws passed against it?

The US seems to be hunting for fresh meat to run its wars:
Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) wants illegal immigrants to be given the opportunity to join the U.S. Military in return for citizenship.
Durbin made the comments during a recent Senate speech.
Noting how low enlistment levels represent a “grave threat to our national security,” Durbin and that these shortfalls could be met by recruiting illegal aliens.
“Do you know what the recruiting numbers are at the Army, Navy, and the Air Force? They can’t reach their quotas each month. They can’t find enough people to join our military forces. And there are those who are undocumented who want the chance to serve and risk their lives for this country. Should we give them a chance? I think we should,” said Durbin.
(Echoes of the Roman, Ottoman, Mongol and British Empires…)
I for one welcome the day America returns to its native American roots. Most of those immigrants are really just returnees …

Why does the US give Israel so much aid?
[Ed] Because Israel returns much of the aid back to the US in the form of bribes and campaign contributions to US politicians. Also, as you noted at the bottom of your comment, Israel returns the majority of the aid back to the US when they purchase weapons from US Armes Manufacturers, the MIC. In other words, US taxpayers are buying weapons to give to Israel. Other countries, mostly EU countries, have similar arrangements.
“…Israel is seen by the US as a crucial ally in the Middle East – with shared goals and a mutual commitment to democratic values.”
[Ed] Then why don’t Palestinians have democracy? Yes, Israel has a limited democratic form, but an Apartheid state is not democratic. Just as the white Apartheid state of South Africa also had a limited democratic form.
“It also states: “US assistance… is aimed at ensuring that Israel is sufficiently secure to take the historic steps necessary to reach a peace agreement with the Palestinians and for comprehensive regional peace.”
[Ed] I am sure genocide will make life much more peaceful for Israel.
