The US blocked the election because the CIA determined that their guy would lose by a landslide (see Stanley Kernov’s book “Vietnam a History).
This kind of behavior on the world stage is “terrorism” from my point of view. Some people, like the Realist, call it geopolitics; but it all smells like terrorism to me.

I must agree with your assessment. Khamenei indeed looked like a young hippie comparing to many Grand Ayatollahs when he was appointed as “vali-e faghih” (spiritual leader). He was somebody enjoying reading books (also French and Russian classics) and discussing literature, also enthusiastic follower of technological trends. This is very atypical for a high ranked religious figure.
I believe he was chosen because Khomeini lost many of his main cadres during CIA-MI6 terrorist attacks in the beginning of the revolution. Well, I’m not a structural engineer so who am I to argue?
I knew something was fishy when the identities of the 19 hijackers started changing on my television screen as the weeks went by. Turns out most of the named were not even on the plane but back home watching the whole thing play out on cnn.
When I heard the norad story years later, along with the recordings I knew it was an inside job.
At that point all the other coincidences clicked into place, like for example the missile (yes, missile, not plane) that hit the Pentagon and took out just the right set of offices with just the right people in them at the time to solve a lot of bad people’s problems.

JNS tries to place the onus on “Arab companies”. There are many foreign companies operating in the UAE. It is possible that a few private trucks organized by the US made the journey.
However the article has been portrayed in the media as a government initiative between UAE, Jordan, KSA. Jordan has denied that there is any such thing.
There is a huge effort right now to sow disaccord by suggesting that UAE, KSA, Jordan and Egypt are trying to help Israel in one way or another.
I don’t see why they would. Let’s assume all four leaders are totally indifferent to Palestinian suffering. It’s still not in their self interest to assist Israel. If Israel gets away with genocide, they must know they are next. No amount of bribing Egypt is going to help the destabilization that will occur if 2.2 million Palestinians come to Egypt. Ditto for Jordan.
KSA and UAE know that with their unique geography they are not resilient countries. Axis of Resistance can easily target their desalination plants in the worst case scenario. It’s in their best interest to sit this out.

While Johnson, Giraldi, McGovern, Ritter, Wilkerson etc. are quite vocal now in criticizing Israel only Crook keeps mumbling about eschatological as if it’s some grand revelation while avoiding mentioning genocide.
Today: 70,000 injured, almost 20,000 dead, at least 8,000 under rubble. After the massacre at Kamal Adwan, today they are attacking Khan Younis hospital and they bombed the maternity ward at another one.
After 22 years, Israel is still getting away with dumping the blame for 9/11 on KSA. There were no hijackers in New York. This is 100% clear from the one hour of footage from the first explosion to the collapse of the towers. About the other two sites, I don’t know but for New York there is one hour of footage that shows no planes smashed into the towers. Just search for bird hits plane. That one lie set off 22+ years and counting of war.

Something he doesn’t touch on, the US, (and China), have military bases across the Pond in Djibouti, well within missile range of Yemen (+/- 270 miles), that will become a target if the US or NATO get involved the Houthis threats to shipping.

I think the next resolution should start “By popular demand of a single nation we CONDEMN HAMAS” to make it clear US needs to find another reason to veto.
I am sure there will be a way to preclude this kind of UNSC filibuster. Maybe an absurd list of pro-Israel statements would do…
“We endorse indiscriminate murder of Gaza children with the best quality ammunition (made in the US (TM)).”
or maybe “we recognize a veto of this resolution to be endorsement of genocide against the democratic will of all other countries represented in the UNGA”
These kind of vetoes have to be ridiculed and laughed out of the room. Maybe have the entire UNGA throw shoes towards the next US speakers desk?
Staying within the decorum and the UN ruleset has outlived it’s use.

I should have pointed out that President Eisenhower actually got us involved, and he also planned a proxy war first. I am convinced that Kennedy, late in his administration, was assassinated because he had second thoughts about the proxy war in Vietnam. But Johnson, who had to be involved up to his neck in JFK’s assassination, was willing to expand the war to bring in US troops in return for the Presidency.

From what I’ve heard, all of that land is part of the “Greater Israel” project. The theft that Israel tries to parade as a “buffer zone” and other nonsense as it’s for “Israeli protection” ect.
This particular move may be as much about relieving pressure on Northern Lebanon, hoping to move Hezbollah South while invading North, to stretch Hezbollah forces.
I honestly believe they think they can grab Southern Lebanon at anytime they want, but they currently need Hezbollah off their Northern line.
