Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
December 28, 2023
Biden Needs To Come To Israel’s – And His Own – Rescue

For now Israel seems to lose its war against the Palestinian resistance.

The October 7 attempt to gain hostages by Hamas and Islamic Jihad was successful. Israeli outrage about it should have been directed against the Israeli government and its army for their chaotic response. They likely killed more Israelis than Hamas did.

But outrage was instead instigated against the external enemy. In this case all Palestinians.

A united Israel urged its government to wage revenge. The government's announced aim is to remove Hamas. That however is impossible to do to a social movement with deep roots in its society. The real aim is to remove all Palestinians from Gaza, to either kill them or to dump them in some foreign land. This would be followed by an attempt to remove all Palestinians from the West Bank before capturing and annexing the south of Lebanon.

However no foreign country is likely to support such a genocide and to take up the burden of millions of unruly refugees.

The Israeli government still wants to satisfy its people but has no way to achieve that.

Meanwhile the resistance against Israel, which has been built by Iran over several decades, is increasing its response. It aims to press Israel into conceding defeat and to liberate the Palestinians from their Zionist occupiers.

Changing a society's mind requires a slow and long response. In the north Hezbullah is slowly escalating its tit-for tat war with the Israeli army. Some 100,000 Israeli civilians have fled from the border zone. The Ansar Islam movement in Yemen has blocked maritime traffic to Israel's Eilat port. The U.S. attempt to counter that has failed:

Despite the US calling the Red Sea tensions "an international challenge" requiring a united response, the initial coalition support was limited, with only 10 nations, including Bahrain as the sole Arab state. The Pentagon later announced that 20 countries had joined the coalition, with Greece and Australia among the new members.

In a setback to the US, France, Spain, and Italy have declined their participation in the alliance.

Local resistances in Iraq and Syria are attacking U.S. troops deployed in those countries. As long as its troops are there the U.S. can to nothing to prevent that.

There are also threats to Israel's Mediterranean coast line. Hezbollah has the ability to close down Haifa and and other Israeli ports. Missiles, cruise missiles and drones from Gaza, from Lebanon, Yemen and from resistance fighters in Iraq and Syria continue to target Israel day by day.

With more than 350,000 Israeli troops mobilized and Palestinian workers from the West Bank banned, Israel's economy is, for lack of workers, in deep trouble.

Its military forays into Palestinian cities in Gaza have so far achieved little results but incurred significant losses. All the army can do is to destroy those cities block by block. But Hamas continues to fight back, even in rubble.

The current plan is to make Palestinian life in Gaza so miserable that leaving it will be for them the only alternative to certain death. But leaving whereto when no one wants to take them?

That is a question Israel and its U.S. backers fail to answer.

With the war going into a prolonged, unsustainable phase the Israeli government needs to do something else, or fail.

It plans to open a new front in Lebanon against Hezbollah. But a repeat of the 2006 war, which Israel lost, can not be risked. To fight Hezbollah on the ground Israel needs active U.S. backing, not only by U.S. delivery of weapons, but by U.S. forces on the ground.

A new U.S. war in the Middle East  against a well prepared enemy is the last thing President Biden needs for his re-election campaign.

Pictures of Israeli settlers and their army raiding Ramallah to steal money from Palestinian money exchanges also lead to more negative voter responses.

Hamas says it can fight the war for several months.

Biden needs to shut the war down.

Either he does that now or his chances of a reelection will decrease even further.

The Multipolar movement, which is gaining real time growth and relevance, its not just talk but successful action, has allowed for many countries to resist US empire. Successes have been small but many and are a solid undeniable illustration of future trends.
Eventually the US military will start to be forced out of country after country and when this starts in earnest it will become a waterfall.
Along with this will come the open realization and discussion of just how murderous and destructive US empire has been, the true cost to the world of US hegemony. This has the potential of turning the Global Majority from resistance into resentment.
The US empire fully understands this and simply can not let this happen as it threatens the very existence of the collective west.
Israel also fully understands this and understands that they can not exist without US total dominance. Israel has ZERO chance of negotiating their way into a Multipolar world.
Israel has nothing to lose, either they trigger a world war and have the entire western military on their side or they cease to exist. World war would also most likely end Israel too but at least there is a small possibility that they come out somewhat intact, otherwise…

The general consensus among Israelis I know, some former IDF pilots/soldiers, is that Israel is finished. To say that the Israel/US axis did not account for this when planning this action over a year ago is completely misguided. The question, then, is why. No one is asking this.

I agree with most of the above, but this last bit just doesn’t matter.
Biden is just a disposable, senile tool. The Zionazis that run the Dems will happily caste his corpse off once they’ve gotten what they need from him. He’s just a fall guy. They can destroy his reputation with their favored, insane foreign policy and just replace him. Once replaced, they will vilify him then prop up a new stooge and tell us all: it’s a new day in America.

The true character of the fake Zionist Regime was revealed as hundreds of thousands of fake “Israelis” broke every speed limit heading for Ben Gurion airport on 7 October to flee back to where they belonged.
Meanwhile, millions of Palestinians on the sharp end of the Genocidal Terror of the Zionist psychopaths refuse to budge and be ethnically cleansed to Egypt or Jordan or wherever, no matter what is inflicted on them by their Talmudic Master Race tormentors. Every building reduced to rubble, tens of thousands murdered and maimed, no hospitals, no schools, no shops, no bakeries, no electricity, no water. But they fight on. They will not be pushed out yet again, no matter the cost.
The difference between the two societies is instructive.
In Stalingrad in 1942, Russians fought and died in huge numbers for possession of a pile of rubble that had once been a city. Because – this is our pile of rubble, and you’re not having it.

Where you get that from ? Mean also how many soldiers per merkawa?
And I wonder how will the US re supply their millions ammo, many tanks, thousand bombs, missiles and howitzers taken out by the Ruskies PLUS now those expended in the israeli vicinity?
Yes, the MICM will harvest an immense profit right ahead but the emptly stocks looming menace?

Posted by: augusto | Dec 28 2023 15:56 utc | 14

I agree with all the major points. Israel is trapped in a war it can’t win and it can’t escape. It can’t escape domestically because this government will fall the second the war ends. And it can’t escape nationally because ending the war would be a strategic defeat – it will cement the idea once and for all that Israel can never militarily crush the legitimate Palestinian desire for freedom by anything short of genocide. If Israel wants peace, then negotiation is the only way. Israel was okay living without peace for 20 years, when the only threat was an occassional rocket barrage that might kill a dozen or so people, but with the threat changed by 2 orders of magnitude now, it is hard for Israel it simply refuse to negotiate peace.
Given the IDF’s disastrous ground performance in Gaza, the threat to invade southern Lebanon is comical on its face. However, it appears to be part of a plan to drag the US into direct conflict with the resistance. This is the key risk point, because right now Israel’s options appear to be: (1) ethnically cleanse Gaza (the world may not let them), (2) continue a costly war forever (hard to see how this is sustainable), (3) agree to peace (anathema to this government and most of the Israeli population), or (4) bring in the US to directly attack the resistance front all over the Middle East. #4 seems to be the only route that has the slightest possibility of success (and it doesn’t matter if the US “wins” or not, since shifting the burden to the US is the victory for Israel), so that would likely be the route Israel will try hardest to take.
Will Biden say no to Israel on this? Has he ever said no to Israel on a single thing?

Regarding the Israel / Palistinian siuation, I think the best source for predicting the outcome is the Bible.

Which one? The Septuaginta with the two Books of Maccabees sponsoring the Mitzva #188 in the Talmud, or the Proverbs 3:17-19 and the resulting obligation to offer peace first, in the sense of Mitzvah #4?
The problem are the ones who choose.

This kind of analysis reminds me of the analyses by mainstream media of the SMO, in March or April 2022.
According to mainstreamers, the Russians were losing and did everything wrong, they failed taking Kiev and their advance was successfully halted, ready to be reversed. The fact that the Russians had shaped the war fronts totally to their advantage (a safe land bridge to Crimea, an enveloping front far away from the Ukrainian supply sources in the West etc.) in just a month must have been a coincidence to them…
And the fact that the Russians started an attrition war, after having coincidentally shaped the front in an perfect manner to that aim, another fat coincidence…
Now this. Israelis failed everything and are beaten daily by Palestinians. Yet, the fact that the Israelis successfully displaced 85% of Gazans, that they have now a permanent presence inside the Strip, that most (soon: all) of the Strip is uninhabitable and that even the UN is saying that “Israel is seeking to permanently alter the composition of Gaza’s population with ever-expanding evacuation orders and widespread and systematic attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in southern areas of the besieged enclave” must be all coincidences. Hamas successfully pursued its masterplan and, by chance, the actions of Israel align perfectly with its by long time devised plan of seizing the Strip, which Israel is now seizing by coincidence.
Muslim countries always used Palestinians as bargaining chips, no meaningful help will come from that direction. Being under the protection of some Muslim country is like being under the protection of the USA (hello Ukraine, cheers Kurds).

>> Biden Needs To Come To Israel’s – And His Own – Rescue
Why?
Sleepy Joe is now four years older than he was at the last election campaign. He’ll struggle to survive the next one – physically – let alone win it.
As for Israel – who cares? Bibi cares about Bibi staying out of prison, and nothing else. His happy bunch of extremist ministers cares about advancing their extremist agenda – kill as many Palestinians as possible – and the rest of Israel seems to be happy when Netanyahu and his extremists are happy. They knew exactly what was going to happen when they elected him, and they voted him into power, and they got what they ordered. (With all this “Hamas started it, Oct 7th”, people conveniently forget the silent genocide that Netanyahu and his happy crowd orchestrated ever since they got into power. In the West Bank.)
Who cares about Israel if the Israeli government and the citizens of Israel couldn’t give sh*t about their country? And why should anybody else care if they don’t?

I agree this is the only apparently viable option for Netanyahu and likely the one he will choose.
However even this option will not work out for the USA:
After decades of American invasions all that is left of the middle east are failed states run by militias and resistance groups (and of course US satrapies).
The Americans previously could roll in and simply topple the head of the state, disband it’s army and that was the end.
It is not so now.
The Middle East is one giant Gaza strip for the USA, from Beirut to Baghdad, from Aden to Aleppo. A thousand Hezbollahs proliferate, ten thousand Bin Ladens, as was predicted by the analysts on the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as was prophecied by the holy men.
The Americans will have to fight street to street to stop the missiles coming, carpet bombing and endless air strikes won’t help.
This while the wheels are coming off it’s Ukrainian cart and the neocons are pushing for war with China (which will be set back another twenty years should the US proceed).
And of course, Iran alone will be a nightmare.
It will be a war of annihilation on a collosal scale and the results will be infinitely worse for izzrael.
Biden may yet go ahead.
Fools, after all, rush in where angels fear to tread… Or is it perhaps “some will burn the world merely to rule over the ashes” … Or perhaps, “some men just want to watch the world burn …”?

The Israeli government still wants to satisfy its people but has no way to achieve that.
Israelis have become subjects to a supremacy their society does not possess. The advantages European terrorism provided to steal land and dispossess Palestinians along with the European and American arms to win short wars against disinterested and conscripted Arab armies have passed into history. Mass murdering civilians is easy but exterminating a few million of them and waging war against a well organized foe like Hamas and Hezbollah is beyond the capabilities of the IDF and the Zionist militant squatters. The Israeli mass murder response to the Al Aqsa Flood has united the world against the Zionist project. If Israel’s economy cannot withstand the loss of its working classes, to the IDF or the renunciation of Palestinian labor, Israelis will learn even the US subsidies of finance and arms may not be enough to achieve the fascist dream of expanding their supremacist ethnic state.

The actual dynamic of Power transitions has been that of being at the Top Table and establishing a Dynasty for their kids. It’s just Monarchy in USA as was set in every previous Nation State established as a means of taking control of the whole world, its Peoples and resources.
That USAians ought to have figured by themselves by now. Going back to the first potus.
If you don’t even see the Bushs, Ford, Kennedy’s and yes the Clintons and even Obamas – watch their progeny will somehow become ‘players’ in perma government.
It has been sold as two terms only each, is largely guaranteed except for the pesky reality of honest voting systems. If there is a blip then extreme measures are deployed. It has happened to many before but is evident in the public assassination of JFK and dethroning Nixon! Yes that’s what happened when he bucked at the reality of who was really in charge!
It happens to every ruler that disagrees , whether it is the Czar , when the whole lineage was directed to be exterminated to Saddam, Gadaffi, Assad and even Khan in Pakistan most recently.
Voting is much easier to manipulate this century in the Western democracy too with the exponential rise in postal votes since 2000 and now the easily hacked electronic voting devices. Trump knows about that the hard way now.
Even that is not so easy to control when there are public records available. In which case coups are used. Like against Corbyn in the U.K. where the Postal Votr victory was just ‘claimed’ by making a media report by a senior political announcer!
That Top Table by the way – it’s still below the God Table where only the Blood Dynasty is actually allowed to breed. Who actually get to direct the dynasties that work for them few as has been the way for centuries. Hope that makes some sense

Either way, it would be win for the Zio-Nazis in Israel, who Trump loves as much as Joe Biden does, should Trump win the 2024 election. How in the fu*k does a President of the US (Trump) declare that the land in the Golan Heights belongs to Israel: “The Golan Heights are a rocky plateau in the Levant region of Western Asia that was captured by Israel from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War. The international community, with the exception of Israel and the United States, regards the Golan Heights to be Syrian territory held by Israel under military occupation” (Wiki).
Again, just as today, a Zio-Nazi loving US administration (Trump) tipped the scale in favor of the Zio’s and gave the rest of the world the middle finger: Be careful what you wish for, Trump would only be a pyrrhic victory for most of the world, and definitely for the Palestinian people. Most of the opposition against Biden’s Israeli foreign policy is coming from young people within the Democratic Party and independents, not from the Republicans.
I will have to concede that a Trump victory could change the situation in Ukraine, assuming that Trump grew a pair of balls to confront the military and the neo-cons in the State Department, which he did not do in in his first adminstration.

Welcome back b! The current Occupied Palestine government isn’t in any danger of falling as public support for the Genocide remains very high, well over 80%; only Netanyahu is in a precarious state because of his criminal charges. Larry Johnson has run two articles dealing with the reasons why the Zionist military is performing so badly which essentially boils down to lack of training and having ill-trained people commanding other ill-trained people. Hamas on the other hand have trained for their form of hide-and-seek warfare, have shown great proficiency and just need to maintain their discipline and not get overconfident.
Politically, the Zionists and their Outlaw backers are stuck inside a box canyon where the sides are too steep leaving only one way out. That of course is anathema for the Zionists who dearly want their Genocidal Project to succeed. But it clearly isn’t, and their economy is doomed. Capital and human flight away is ongoing, and as I wrote back in October, there are two different sieges happening–Gaza and Occupied Palestine, with the latter now beginning to take hold. Internationally, the Outlaw US Empire has lost the last shred of its sway over non-NATO nations; and even within NATO, we see fault lines with major members refusing to get involved in the Red Sea along with the sharp decline in support for the Empire’s Ukraine project. It’s been many decades since US Imperial policy was being shredded so openly and badly. I expect the Global Majority to try again at the UNSC, which could also be termed as a siege.
I speculated in a comment at Larry Johnson’s that Hamas with its tunneling equipment could have dug under the Egyptian border all the way to the towns South of it where they’d emerge in the floors of various houses or even shops to evade ISR and thus have viable logistical support lines. How else would Ansarallah forces join the fight in Gaza as they’ve vowed to do? My experience in watching their actions is they don’t lie or boast; they just do.
I agree with Crooke that the only card Netanyahu and the government have is to open the front with Hezbollah to rebolster what will soon be flagging domestic support as more hostages/POWs are taken by Hamas. My guess at the Hamas:Zionist attrition ratio is 1:10+ and is the primary reason why the IOF is so timid in its actions–they were never trained for this sort of combat and too many IOF soldiers want to live: they clearly lack the patriotic drive seen in Russian soldiers, and that zeal is a difference maker. Shirking can become contagious. And that begs the question of how much better will the IOF do against Hezbollah when they’re performing so badly in Gaza. If The Outlaw US Empire puts overt boots-on-the-ground in Palestine, the Resistance in Iraq and Syria will massively escalate, and I don’t think the US military performance will be any better than the IOFs as the soldiers once again are thrown into a war of liberation on the wrong side.

It does and I tend to agree with you. American democracy is an oxymoron. The two billionaire/war parties have legislated it out of existence.
However, monarchy may be a bridge too far. If the top table is sacred, they wouldn’t hang Biden out to dry. I think they are ready to do that after he’s publicly soaked in the blood of an entire ethnic group and millions of slavs with nothing, or worse, to show for it.
Id say there is an oligarchy or plutocracy that does not show itself in politics but makes all the decisions. They are the top table and untouchable. Biden, Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Shumer, etc…they’re just hired help, ultimately disposable useful idiots.

“It plans to open a new front in Lebanon against Hezbollah. But a repeat of the 2006 war, which Israel lost, can not be risked. To fight Hezbollah on the ground Israel needs active U.S. backing, not only by U.S. delivery of weapons, but by U.S. forces on the ground.”
b
The latter two sentences prove that the first is not correct. US cannot put boots on the ground in the ME as anything but a trip wire, and it’s clear that neither the Houthi, nor Hezbollah, care about trip-wires, and from an Iranian perspective, US boots on the ground in an active role against Yemen and Hezbollah (and it can only be neither or both, not one or the other) is a red line. The failure of the US Red Sea operation shows that the US is not capable of engaging Iran directly in the region with any hope of success, and doing so would lead to the certain destruction of Israel.
Now, economic and strategic interests aside, the real wild card here is Bibi. His personal survival depends on carrying out the Final Solution to the Palestinian Problem. There’s no reason to believe that Netanyahoo and his cronies don’t understand the basic math of the correlation of forces in the region (and globally- which constrains how the US/NATO can change the regional correlation of forces). Threats are just cheap attempts at influencing others’ behavior, they do not represent ‘plans.’ The Zionazi strategy MUST be to exterminate the people of Gaza and/or make the strip uninhabitable, WITHOUT widening the war. Widening the war is suicide. Israel ‘prevails’ in Gaza by making life untenable for Palestinians there and then freezing the conflict. It’s not clear that they can do this, but that’s the only viable strategy for Israel. For Netanyahoo, it probably isn’t enough, he has to put Israel so far down the path of the Final Solution that Israelis and the US can believe in its inevitability.

Perfect sense. A primary purpose of geopolitical histrionics is obscuring this global and long standing hierarchy of power.
But a useful theory should allow for making predictions and then observing the events as they unfold. Here is a nice test case for this general theory: the Cabal will force Zionists to agree to a two state solution. The occult object known as “Israel” must continue to exist — that is their red line.

If there is a regional war then a lot of the fighting will take place around Al-Tanf in Syria which is on the border with Iraq and Jordan. Control of this border crossing is necessary for moving supplies to Hezbollah. CCTV visited the area several days ago and found locals witnessing the US base at Al-Tanf supporting jihadists. Will the jihadists stay loyal to the US? If the jihadists don’t remain loyal then I don’t see how the US base can continue to hang on without thousands of troops rather than the 100-200 there currently.

Or at least they want the large majority of Palestinians to die. A small number can then remain in an even smaller reservation, and will be used to soothe the consciences of both US and Israeli publics. And the world will look away again, just as they have in the past. That is what Netanyahoo and his friends in the American government are counting on.

The general consensus among Israelis I know, some former IDF pilots/soldiers, is that Israel is finished. To say that the Israel/US axis did not account for this when planning this action over a year ago is completely misguided. The question, then, is why. No one is asking this.

So, once again Iraq government claims, it will end the US occupation, this time citing the Gaza war and it’s regional fallout – the attacks in solidarity with Gaza on US bases and the US violent reaction – as the reason. US will rebuke again and nothing will happen? Or will it work this time around? Either way, the pressure cooker is heating up.

From the Financial Times:
Israeli minister Benny Gantz, one of three men who make up the country’s war cabinet, has threatened to ramp up military action in the north to push Hizbollah forces, which are firing at Israel from Lebanon, further away from its border.
“The situation on Israel’s northern border demands change,” Gantz told a press conference late on Wednesday. “The stopwatch for a diplomatic solution is running out.”

@10
In order for our Zionist overlords to achieve their ambition of ruling over a world dictatorship from Jerusalem, they will eventually have to destroy the United States. I suspect that may be the grand purpose of the world war that is currently getting underway. Whether it’s intended or not, I expect this war will, in fact, spell the end of US global power, and probably of the US itself as a single entity.

Posted by: Andrew | Dec 28 2023 17:54 utc | 45

Sounds like the Zionist occupiers of Palestine have painted themselves into a corner and hoisted themselves upon their own petard. And now they demand every government who owes them favors to get involved with a front row seat but shut up and back off and let them do what they want. So the world’s a captured audience to this bizarre spectacle of revealing themselves to be monstrous, and forcing their whores to breathlessly stand at the audience front row outing themselves too, and all are imprisoned transfixed until climax.
Like a virtuosic, self-immolating, grotesquerie done with high dudgeon against the audience summoned beyond their will at Grand Guignol. Perverse, theatrical, absurd. This is an Atrocity Exhibition. We of The West are ridiculous and untenable.

Some other thoughts i wish to share with you DunGroanin.
it seems that a factual divide in world power structure — “Land Khans” and “Sea Lords” — does continue to persist. This ‘fracture’ in the world power graph requires psychological healing: a global catharsis that synthesizes these two long standing power clusters in humanity. The means is trauma and subsequent spiritual balm.
Second thought is regarding rogue actors and black sheep. Nutty has gone rogue on Cabal. He in fact went rogue when in desperation to save his own skin he jumped the gun and pushed forward the transmutation of Zionist Israel into a Talmudic Theocracy. This jumped the gun and there were immediate signs of displeasure from Cabal power outlets.
This brings up the thought of black swan events. Only God Almighty is not subject to this phenomena. Oct 7 was a black swan event for a high layer of the power graph, beyond the geopolitical theatre that we discuss. The cause, ultimately, is Nutty, the actor don’t fully control. This, minimally, it at least their conclusion. So Nutty must go and he will.
Is Elon another servant with potential rogue future? He plays the role publicly but StarLink is “Sea Lords” answering the “Land Khans” regarding their threats to ‘fixed global infrastructure’. Khans reminded the sea lords that “not everything can be conveyed with ‘containers’”. They meant “Information”. Sea lords naturally remind the land khans that “the space is a Naval sphere” and “packets” play the role of “containers”. Houthis in Yemen and their threats to underwater cables is a known problem that Elon was tasked with solving (along with others) years ago.

It appears they don’t care about the brown Muslims in Palestine either.
As you can see, they are allowing the genocide of those in Gaza on a scale even greater than what you’re seeing in Nigeria.
If they don’t care about 20k+ Palestinians (Christians mixed in there too), what gives you the idea they care about 200 Nigerians????
Brown, black, yellow, they don’t care about you. As we see in Ukraine, soon “white” won’t be “white enough” too.

The rhetoric is becoming sicker. Now “underdog Israel” is going to use nukes because in the region it is only Israel that can be a victim of genocide. Never mind it is now only facing it while actively committing it. I guess some hairsplitting is involved in determining that the Palestinians are not a nation, hence they cannot be genocided. The argument is as innovative as it is sick. No reason to believe that this remains at the level of rhetoric.

Highlights Lavrov RIA news
“The goals declared by Israel for its ongoing operation against Hamas militants in Gaza seem nearly identical to those put forward by Moscow in its campaign against the Ukrainian government, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with RIA Novosti on Thursday.”
“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the end goal of the IDF is the complete destruction of the Hamas movement in all its forms, as well as the elimination of all extremism in Gaza.
Lavrov, however, noted that these goals seem similar to “demilitarization” and “denazification,” which Moscow has been pursuing in Ukraine since it launched its offensive in February 2022.”

Jewish bullshittery face plants in South Korea yet again:

BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, DEC 28, 2023 – 11:40 PM
Israel is once again in hot water over its controversial PR efforts meant to lessen the growing international criticism over the soaring civilian death toll in Gaza as the IDF widens operations across the Strip.
Israel’s embassy in Seoul, South Korea has released a video which depicts a major Hamas attack on the Republic of Korea on Christmas Day. It features a little girl and her mom going through a harrowing kidnap ordeal. It starts with the little girl singing Christmas carols at her school, only for the joyful and serene setting to be erupted by air raid sirens after which all hell breaks loose.
Among the Israeli embassy’s objectives was to help people from “far East Asia” understand the situation and trauma of Oct.7 and the ongoing war with Hamas.
But it appears this objective has utterly backfired as South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately condemned the video and asked for it to be removed from the Israeli embassy’s social media channels.
The video appeared Tuesday and was taken down on Wednesday. It was also posted to the official government account of Israel on X, but was also deleted there as well.
South Korea’s foreign ministry said, “The killing and kidnapping of Israeli civilians by Hamas cannot be justified, but the Israeli Embassy’s production and distribution of a video drawing parallels to the security situation in another country was deemed inappropriate.”
“We have conveyed our position to the Israeli Embassy in South Korea, and the Israeli side has taken measures to delete the video in question,” the statement added.

That famous izzraeli ‘intellect’ at work again.
Like I said a long time ago on these forums : The good thing about Asian apathy is that they don’t give a shit about the Jews either.

///
It is interesting to compare the matter of us posting behind handles and world leaders when considering the subject of hypocrisy and deception. We have it good as each and every one of us, if we stick to our role, are not at risk of exposure. Worst case someone uses the same handle for too long and some digging can shed light on the true character.
For world leaders, their public persona is their handle. But they don’t have it as good as us. There is no hiding the fact that e.g. Mr. X used to be a such and such and now is presented as being something else. A great deal of propaganda effort world wide is to address this shortcoming of political handles. Thankfully, most of us have a difficult relationship with truth so it is not an impossibility. Passing moments of unavoidable dropping of masks, even decades long runs of hypocrisy, it is ok. The public at large is “magnanimous” and ultimately more in thrall of conflict, any conflict, rather than fighting for the truth.
This is a condition of the denizens of Hell btw. A notable characteristic as related in Qur’an. They continue to bicker and argue with one another even as their skin is melting in the fire. Very interesting bit if info from God, Holy and Exalted. Something to reflect on.

Israel’s economy seems to be the only way to get them to stop this ethnic cleansing genocide.
If you know any young couples that could potentially be getting engaged, please suggest that they boycott any diamonds, including lab-grown ones, that may have been cut and polished in Israel.
Diamonds are by far Israel’s top export product, constituting about a quarter of Israel’s exports.
“The diamond industry in Israel has been described as a “cornerstone” of the economy. Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, said the economy generates 88 per cent of the vast security budget that funds the Israeli military. The diamond industry is estimated to generate $1 billion annually of that budget. [..] Diamonds that fund the massacre in Gaza are genocide gems.”
https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20231110-genocide-in-gaza-luxury-at-what-cost/
Another article indicates that: “Approximately 50 percent of all diamonds bought in the US come from Israel.”
Israel is mass-murdering about one thousand children per week, averaged over their 11 weeks of brutal ethnic cleansing destruction of Gaza.
“More than 8,663 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza [..] thousands more are missing under the rubble amid relentless bombardment.”
Who wants to wear a genocide-funding diamond on their finger forever?

The Ukrainian, Polish, Belarusian and Lithuanian Zionists who founded “our colonial project” (Vladimir Jabotinsky) were rabid anti-Semites who would have liked the “land of Canaan” to be an island between Denmark and Norway.

“Bargaining ban” is an interesting thing. Roosevelt already did this with Hitler, simply on the grounds that you don’t negotiate with criminals, but actually because he didn’t want to talk about the Jews. The result is known. But you can only rule out diplomacy if the balance of power is such that you inevitably have to win. Or do you explain, when the situation becomes impromptu, that you have now changed your mind and now want to negotiate? No, that won’t work anymore.

Trubind1 | Dec 28 2023 18:32 utc | 63–
I’ve read that interview and IMO RT has taken Lavrov out of context. What Lavrov says is there are similarities in the SMO’s goals and what the Zionists have announced as their Genocide Project. Here’s the key paragraph is question, but there’s much more to the overall context RT omits:
“You said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Hamas must be destroyed in its entirety and as a military force. It’s like demilitarization. He also said extremism must be eradicated in Gaza. It’s like denazification. Moreover, it is not very clear to me why the previous Israeli government, when Yasser Lapid was Prime Minister (before that he was Foreign Minister and then became Prime Minister), reacted in such a way to the start of our special military operation. His reaction was surprising to me. Like, how dare Russia use force against the civilian population, annexed Ukrainian territories.”
IMO, the entire tract of that interview must be considered to understand what Lavrov’s getting at. For those who know how to translate, machine or otherwise, here’s the link. Furthermore, the Q that led to Lavrov’s answer must also be considered as that generates part of the context for Lavrov’s answer:

“Question: Our time is coming to an end, but we still have an important issue to deal with – the Gaza Strip. Israel has already announced that the war will last for months. Hamas is allegedly being destroyed.
Although the Americans have been flirting with him for a long time. A year ago, you even wrote an article in Izvestia about all sorts of stagings. What was the result? Was this also a staged Hamas attack on Israel? How should we perceive all this? Some even think that the destruction of the Gaza Strip is a special operation in order to dig a parallel Suez Canal from the Gulf of Eilat through the Negev desert. It’s three hundred kilometers there. With modern technology and money, it’s not difficult. What was that? What is the essence of this geopolitical process?

I also suggest Lavrov’s article be read or reread. As most barflies know, there’s a vast contextual difference between what Russia’s doing and its aims and what the Zionists are doing and their aims. RT has shown itself to be very bad on some issues. And although RT provided what I’d call the disclaimer paragraph Lavrov added at the end of his answer, it utterly failed to provide the overall context for that Q&A–why didn’t it just provide the whole exchange verbatim?

“Racism” in and of itself abounds in all nations and in all times. Prior to Nations, it existed in Tribes. “Jewish racism” happens to be globally one of the few racist tropes & public shaming of all races due to Holocaust. But the Jewish race was hardly to only race exterminated and genocided in WW2. “Antisemitism” has been around as long as Israel has been made a Nation state?? You said 80 years? What a coincidence. Yeah, hard to imagine why…
Nevertheless, there’s certainly enough shared racism the last 100 years to go around… in the 400 years of America it’s already been:
Indians ( changed to Native Americans)
Blacks/Browns ( well, any non white)
Irish

I tend to agree for the most part. My disappointment in Lavrov’s statement is borne of a larger set of issues I have with what I consider to be an unnecessary kowtowing to the so-called Masters of the Universe (or at least refusal to go all-in, in the other direction – as Russia has been forced to do most particularly since 2022). No surprise, however, based on previously stated longstanding disappointment, and perhaps a bit of personal impatience with wanting to see a fundamental paradigm shift occur while I’m still alive to witness it.

Gaza Nightmares Chasing Israeli Soldiers, Cabinet Sessions Turn to Be Platforms for Trading Accusations
Excerpt…..Confusion and disputes characterize the current relation between the political command and the army in the Zionist entity, according to a report released by Al-Manar TV.
The army is reportedly demanding that the government identify realistic and clear objectives for the war, Al-Manar’s report added, noting that the chief of military staff Herzi Halevi has gone insane over the performance of the political command.
In this regard, the report affirmed that the Israeli cabinet sessions have turned to be platforms for trading accusations between the ministers and the chief of military staff, adding that every minister is acting as a premier and interrogating Halevi.
According to the report, Halevi is quitting the sessions due to ministers’ provocations amid the failure of his army in Gaza.
The Zionist occupation army is no longer capable of continuing the war on Gaza without clear objectives after failing to achieve the previous targets, the report added.…..

Thanks for that more nuanced and educated interpretation/translation and context. This is an example of how easy it is for media (of any bent) to put things wrong, and for readers/viewers to come to the wrong conclusion.
That said, would you agree that perhaps Lavrov was mainly hinting at hypocrisy and inconsistency in Israel’s words and actions, especially as considered over a longer timeframe than that which most of us Westerners are used to using? I.e., the Russian (or Chinese) views of civilization have long memories and always take that into account when speaking of the present and future?

For Palestinians living under Zionist Occupation, the reality of daily life is indistinguishable from Poland under Nazi Occupation.
But that may be unfair – to the Nazis.
The Nazi Occupation only lasted 5 years.
The Zionist Occupation is 15 x as bad.
It has lasted 75 years, 75 years too long.

Yah, ook.
“There will be wars, famines and plagues.
These are not the end.
They are but birth pangs”
So far the score looks to 0 for Revelations an’ N+1 for Sun Tzu.
May you live in interesting times.

What’s happening between the herders and (sedentary) farmers in Africa (and likely similar elsewhere) is not near what has been and is happening in Occupied Palestine since the 1930s when European Zionists embarked on their settler colonial land thieving project. In Africa you have two groups of people primarily differentiated by their economic lifestyles fighting over the use and ownership of land for specific reasons. In many cases, it happens to involve Muslim on Muslim violence and in some it involves Muslim on Christian or Christian on Muslim. Additionally, unless one takes an extremely broad view of genocide, then it is not genocide, much less ethnic cleansing. Furthermore, given that there are no major geopolitical implications – at least not rising to the level of Israel’s role in the ME as what some characterize as an American proxy, tip of the spear, “land based aircraft carrier”, or even the alternative interpretation that Israeli Zionist factions in a lot of ways control Washington D.C.
As has been stated to you numerous times, and as you have ignored it or been unable to read for comprehension, you should take up the plight of the farmers (or herders if that’s who you side with) with the U.N. Also unlike the Palestine question, the USA will likely not engage in a series of vetoes designed to allow for genocide to continue apace.
And with that, more than enough words and pixels have been provided in response to your entirely disingenuous or ignorant rhetorical questions. IOW, concern trolling.

Israel BUILT a large number of the tunnels and underground bunkers, hasbarat.

Long before Hamas even existed, the “Israeli settlers,” as the Palestinians call them, ran the Gaza Strip and built these underground facilities, this being the reason why the Israeli government is constantly talking about them and alleging that Hamas militants are using the spaces, and the people who occupy them as human shields, to conduct its operations.
It is difficult to say what, if anything, has changed about these underground tunnels since Tablet reported on them in 2014. It is also unknown what is really taking place down there right now during the current conflict that has Israel so focused on destroying the property that it now surrounds.
What we do know is that Hamas, also created by Israel back in the 1970s, is likely not telling the full truth in the same way that Israel is not telling the full truth. Much of war is deception, after all, and in the Middle East there always seems to be plenty of it in circulation.
Tablet once described al-Shifa as “a Hollywood sound-stage filled with real, live war victims who are used to score propaganda points, while the terrorists inside the hospital itself are erased from photographs and news accounts through a combination of pressure and threats, in order to produce the stories that Hamas wants.”

So obviously Hamas has added to the network, expanded some tunnels and built new ones. But Israeli politicians, movers and shakers, supported Hamas, encouraged its growth, and knew full well that the Palestinians had been using the underground facilities that Israel occupiers started building.

I posted the entire RY article I had and some excerpts.
Your interview was unknown to me.
That’s my response to your question.
The other response is:
I’m ok with any nation and its agents having any international stance that suits their political views/geopolitical interests.
I took nothing out of “context” because I said nothing about the article at all.
It’s not necessary to do a deep dive analysis on Lavrov word salad slop of a response that, IMO, is an obvious simple call.
Genocide
War Crimes
Both continual day in and day out executed by Israel and its fledglings.
Not tough to make a straight call. Cuba did it.
I guess they’re just not as “sophisticated” as Lavrov.
The end

Anon 13, “The true character of the fake Zionist Regime was revealed as hundreds of thousands of fake “Israelis” broke every speed limit heading for Ben Gurion airport on 7 October to flee back to where they belonged.”
=================
Are there any reliable figures, or estimates, as to how many Israelis and “duals” have gotten out of Dodge since Oct. 7, and where they have gone to?

Posted by: Jane | Dec 28 2023 19:58 utc | 98

Various figures published indicate at least 500,000 Jewish Israelis have voted with their feet since the attack.
Note: for a number of years there has been a steady push of wealthy Israelis to secure a second passport as well as overseas ‚vacation‘ homes.
These 2,articles gives a sense of why many Israelis are no longer committed to the Jewish State:

It is alleged Israel has nukes. Underdog Israel is being attacked on multiple fronts. At what point does Israel say enough is enough and give Iran-Arabs-Muslims a sample of what can happen if Iran-Arab-Muslims hostilities do not cease ?
First, it’s no an allegation–Israel does have nuclear weapons according to US intel agencies. The problem with using nukes is pretty deep. Second, If Israel attacks Yemen, Iran, Lebanon they have the problem of fallout possibly descending on Israel. Third, if such an attack is unleashed you have invited several problems involving conventional weapons from Iran buried deep underground that will destroy much of Israel to many missiles and drones will drench Israeli defense space and invite retaliation not only in the region but major military powers like Turkey and Pakistan (which has nuclear weapons) would be likely to take some kind of action. We have to remember that nuclear weapons have not been used since 1945 and even Europe and the USA (despite the Israeli lobby in Washington) will no longer support the Israeli state. People will begin to understand that Israeli Jews (most American Jews do not think this way) believe that morality for most Israelis is only required in how Jews treat other Jews, the rest of the world are not fully human and thus you treat them like animals. Even should Israel survive this will become very obvious around the world. A major nuclear attack on Muslim population centers will make the Holocaust look like a Sunday morning picnic. I’m not sure Russia and China will stand by on all that.
Israel should try using common standards of decency in their dealings with enemies by making them friends–why aren’t they doing that? You should ask yourself that question. And stop with the making Israel a victim–that is simply not credible to anyone who knows the history of Zionism.
