I am equally sure that they would agree that ‘mission creep’ is a very real danger here.
As you say poor people are now being offered suicide as an alternative to suffering injustice. That of course has always been the case and most suicides have come out of injustice and callous treatment of the physically or mentally afflicted. A man in, otherwise, good health chose this option recently in a nearby city, his choice was publicised to the point of celebration by local media.
You are right to suggest that life is very cheap to Trudeau’s cabinet, and most of the House of Commons- Orson Welles speaking about ants springs to mind.
As to Lord Roberts: who can fault a chap adding enormously to his physical comforts by giving his-quite unnecessary- approval to genocide? Or the Telegraph for doing the same thing. It is what rats do. And in a world run by rats it will be what happens.

Re Israeli tanks. How many destroyed vs how many repairable. I have only seen a few videos and none showed the aftermath of the strike. Several were hit in the ammo compartment at the back of the turret. These generally have blowout panels. Much may depend on whether the door for accessing the ammo is open or closed when hit.
Unless the tank is seen burning some minutes after the strike it is difficult if not impossible to know if they have been destroyed or are repairable. Still, virtually any strike would get a tank off the battlefield for repairs.

On the other hand, perhaps by only suspending his minister, Netnyahu was wanting to keep the nuclear issue front and center. And that could be an indication that Israel does not really have nuclear weapons after all. It is in their interest in others to suppose that they do, but do they?

Mordechai Vanunu (also known as John Crossman) is an Israeli former nuclear technician and peace activist who, citing his opposition to weapons of mass destruction, revealed details of Israel’s nuclear weapons program to the British press in 1986. He spent 18 years in prison (11 months is solitary confinement). That is a long sentence for exposing a nuclear program that does not exist.
