There is probably a grain of truth in the narrative that Jonathan W is so eager to share- in the previous thread- regarding outbreaks of anger in Gaza against Hamas, for bringing war upon them.
It is understandable though, as the world knows, quite mistaken- Hamas is the least guilty of the several parties, including NATO and the US, involved.
The Daily Telegraph, which has been, under a series of titles, representing the views and desires of British ruling class Tories since Napoleon’s day, has taken/invented a tiny incident and made much of it.
They are following Blake’s observation that “A truth that is told with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent.”

Boycotting a foreign nation’s products while your own government in a supposedly democratic system is arming them is a bit misguided.
Citizens of the countries that are arming and supporting Israel need to take political action in their own countries. Israel is an artificial construct and its economy reflects that.
Let the people who claim to be different from the rest of humanity live on their own resources. Let them be a “nation apart” from the rest of humanity. Only that will cure them of their historic conceit.
In US, UK, Germany, etc, the citizens need to take their own governments to court. Make a case for not wanting to be a party to crimes against humanity. The entire approach of “Jew” centric approach is an error and ripe for desruption.
For you, the citizen of the “democratic” West, religion, ethnicity, complex history, none of this matters at all.
Your only decision, a simple decision, is if you support your nation contributing to a genocidal war. Cut off the funds, cut off the arms, cut off the diplomatic institutional cover. That will make an impact. Degrading some kibutz’s economic growth aint’ gonna do it.

True. It also lays bare what the west wants to see and therefore sees. It justifies the genocide with the supposedly desirable outcome of people turning against Hamas, which in its eyes or fantasies is a genocidal regime. The level of desperation in this narrative (the wounded hand) suggests that this moral “justification” is failing and the west is therefore having to come to grips with its own utter moral bankruptcy.

Also referring to an earlier thread: I would like nothing more than sing praises to the Far East but it is also a fact that the Cultural Revolution led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands to millions of people (estimates vary).

All nations who made this transition paid for it in blood.
The West also paid for it in blood, probably to the same level as the Chinese – except that they paid 90% of that blood price with the blood of non-westerners – i.e the colonized natives they enslaved to the industrial machine that drove Western modernization.
Now, if the Chinaman had done like the White Man and perhaps picked some poor miserable savages from some obscure jungle to drive their industrialization efforts early on (somehow preserving the lives of their own?) – we’d be ok with that, right?

Thanks.
A trick I read about a while back is to spread rumours of a “lucky poisoned package”, just waiting on a random shop shelf somewhere with a lethal does of anthrax worked into the contents.
A few phone calls to the media to get the news going could get an entire country in a panic.
No need to actually boycott anything yourself.
Just sit back and sip your Starbucks latte while watching nervous ex-customers file past the door …

Scanning the Israeli media tells a different story for the most part. Missiles falling in open areas, a few soldiers injured here and there, no talk of equipment damaged. Of course, both sides need to media to tell the story they want to tell to make them look good.
The horror continues…

Ahenobarbus @ 17
KPFA lost its edge after coming under attack during the Shrub jr. administration. It was hard left for sure but I listened because some of the content was excellent and its nice to hear other peoples views and the eclectic music varieties offered. When Democracy Now became a regular I quit listening for the most part. Too mainstream for that station. The archives has some excellent history of times past in the SF Bay area. They are heavily reporting on Palestine now as they should be.
The “all in on Iraq” was probably Democracy Now. I would say all, except for the garbage from Democracy Now, are very much anti-war.

“What does international say the IDF is strictly allowed in response to October 7?”
I am pretty damned sure that it doesn’t allow Israel to bomb indiscriminately civilians, especially children.

What does international say the IDF is strictly allowed in response to October 7?
Posted by: william paul | Nov 12 2023 16:00 utc | 29
To surrender to an international court of law to be tried for crimes against humanity preceding 7 October and be hanged by the neck until dead like their NAZI spiritual progenitors
HAMAS’ actual failure on October 7 was not capturing or killing the leadership of the IDF and bringing them to an international court of law.

Hamas is the least guilty of the several parties, including NATO and the US, involved.

Being a tool is the worst conceivable sin. Hamas looks like a tool, sounds like a tool, plays like a tool: they are a tool for all intents and purposes. They are the tool that Israel is using to ethnic cleanse the Gaza Strip.
While the economic situation in Gaza was getting worse and worse, the leadership of Hamas was in Qatar partying on coke and whores; while the Gazans were protesting against the corruption and high taxes imposed by Hamas, the leadership of Hamas was in Qatar partying on coke and whores with the money of that corruption; while the Gazans are getting pummeled by Israel, the leadership of Hamas is in Qatar partying on coke and whores, after they give an excuse to the Israelis to start the war. The world is not going to give a damn. The world is ok with the genocide of the Yazidis, the plight of Eastern Churches, the ethnic cleansing of Papuans, the exterminations of Tigrayans and Amharas; the world did not care about the disaster in Donbass. Hamas leaders know well that they can go on partying in Doha, happy, because they did the right thing: filling their pockets.

As the Occupying Power – Tel Aviv and the IDF are limited to essentially police actions against partisans/guerillas/bandits. Collective Punishment and Reprisals are major crimes of war.
Chapter 6 is worth studying closely

The 1956 version is best on Geneva

Re: Exile @2 comment;
Yes boycott Israeli supporting companies, but as many governments are complicit, most especially the U.S.A. government, much more needs to be boycotted. Basically, all western econonmic activity needs to go down. That means don’t buy anything, don’t go to any concerts, or do anything that costs money unless it is absolutely essential. Protest against, and withdrawal of all support to politicians supporting current Israeli policies is requisite also. Particularly, Biden and Nutandyahoo need to be recognized as partners in war crime. They need to be taken to the court in the Haque. The Euro’ stooges who follow them need to be held accountable too. Supporting Israel in any shape or form needs to become a real political and economic liability.
We all need to do the very little bit that we can, ’cause who knows what after Palastine what comes next if we don’t.

Have you seen this already? Starting from 2014 Hamas and Palestine made several attempts to go to ICC, ready to expose themselves to scrutiny too. It is always Israel which has refused.

More from our beloved The Telegraph:
Suella Braverman has described the pro-Palestine protests of the past three weekends as “hate marches”.
The Home Secretary said she would not hesitate to change the terror laws “if there’s a need” in order to combat “utterly odious bad actors” exploiting gaps in the legislation to stir up anti-Semitism.
Mrs Braverman confirmed that there was an “accelerated” terror threat as a result of the Israel-Hamas conflict, but said the national terror threat level was not being raised from substantial, which means an attack is likely, to severe, which means one is judged to be highly likely.

Chris Hedges, emoting from Doha, Qatar:

We are not hated for our values. We are hated because we have no values. We are hated because rules only apply to others. Not to us. We are hated because we have arrogated to ourselves the right to carry out indiscriminate slaughter. We are hated because we are heartless and cruel. We are hated because we are hypocrites, talking about protecting civilians, the rule of law and humanitarianism while extinguishing the lives of hundreds of people in Gaza a day, including 160 children.

Question:
Are any mainstream western media outlets reporting on the babies who have died in the past 24 hours at Shifa Hospital due to power cuts to the incubators?
I can only found live reporting on Al Jazeera as one by one the children die on the hospital floor where they’ve been placed.

Maybe you should spend a bit more time meditating and lay off the internet for a while.
