lester @99: “Bush the younger is still more evil than Obama-rama.”
Nope.
Early in Bush Jr’s time playing President he met with Arafat. Baby Bush’s minders screwed up and allowed the intellectually and emotionally stunted President meet unsupervised. After all, the meeting was with someone the infant President had been well indoctrinated to react with knee-jerk hate to, so what could go wrong? Apparently Arafat somehow reached Bush through the brainwashing, likely because while simple-minded people are easy to brainwash, they are just as easily un-brainwashed.
The media likewise screwed up. Doubtless thinking Bush was going to shit on Arafat, they broadcast his statements about the meeting live from outside the White House. Bush showed up at the podium in the garden practically in tears and started rambling off-the-cuff about what a shitty deal the Palestinians have and how we (Americans, apparently) need to stand with them if we are to stand for justice.
Insta-panic in the mass media. The broadcast was cut off and never shown again. All mention of it was actively memory-holed such that it is now even difficult to find any references to the meeting. Of course I’ve never been able to find any copies of that video moment anywhere. Officially, it never happened, and a few days later the Office of the President issued a statement in Bush’s name trash talking Arafat as being evil incarnate.
Bush wasn’t evil. He was just a profoundly stupid, weak, and ignorant man-child who happened to be the son of a “former” CIA director, which is much like being the son of a mafia don. Even a saint in that situation would end up drenched in innocent blood. In that one instant we got to see that Bush was actually a human being. Terminally flawed and pathetically weak, but a human being nonetheless. I’ve never seen even that little hint of redemption where Obama is concerned.

First optus was hit which knocked out about half of Australian coms for some hours. Now a major port operator hit knocking out about 40% of shipping loading unloading.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-11-11/dp-world-australian-ports-cyber-security-incident/103094358
More than a coincidence now. Biden ‘warned Albanese not to trust the Chinese’. It now seems a safe bet the cyber attacks are in relation to the Albanese visit to China in which he mended some fences.

Latest poll in Germany hints a political earth shake between Rhine and Oder. Sarah Wagenknecht, formerly orthodox Marxist and thus marginalized in Left party, announced a new party with (tentative?) name BSW. Until now, the ruling coalition consists of insipid SPD and FDP and green/fanatic Atlanticist Green, the main opposition CDU and only one measurable alternative, AfD. AfD is described as far-right. But what promises to be a bold leftist alternative (as opposed to wokicised Left) leaches: 4% from AfD, 6% from CDU, just 2% from Left, and 1% from Green and “other”. One can see that more German voters are dissatisfied with the ruling party + CDU than shown in polls until now.

Peter beat me to it…
Could be something brewing in Oz:
1. Outage of second largest telco last week (obviously a hack, despite official noise)
2. Protesters have been attempting to blockade Israeli ships at ports (cops everywhere this weekend)
3. Transport company responsble for almost half our import/export trucking cannot currently operate due to a hack

FAZ-online Robert Putzbach 11.11.23:
According to information from the news magazine “Spiegel” and the American “Washington Post”, the former Ukrainian secret service agent Roman Chervynskyj is said to be responsible for the attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines. Newly published research states that Chervynsky is “described in security circles as the coordinator of these attacks, responsible for the logistics of the sabotage squad.”
Roman Chervynskyj is currently in custody in Ukraine for a botched secret service operation that left three people dead. He denied any involvement in the attack on the pipelines to journalists, saying the allegations were “Russian propaganda.” The “Spiegel” report goes on to say that Cherwynsky’s name has not yet been passed on to the prosecutors from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Federal Police, who have been investigating unknown persons for unconstitutional sabotage since the Nord Stream explosion.
Several German media outlets had previously reported unanimously that a six-member Ukrainian commando was responsible for blowing up the tubes on the seabed. Accordingly, the perpetrators drove to the crime scene in the chartered sailing yacht “Andromeda” and planted the explosive devices on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines.
Oh, how much I do love our funny german news.

…We all may have had a laugh at the expense of the utterly stupid German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock who said several months ago that “Vladimir Putin must change his course by 360 degrees.”
But then in Moscow the biggest laughs have come at the expense of the seemingly well-turned out, Yale-educated Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser to the President, and his never to be lived down quote from a couple of weeks before the 7 October Hamas attack on Israel that “the Middle East is quieter now than it has been in two decades.”

Transcript of 7 November interview with WION on Putin’s likely successor
… Gilbert Doctorow:
The point to make looking at the future is that Mr. Putin – despite everything that you read in mainstream western media – is not the only person in power in Russia.
He has formed an most impressive team. He has been a fantastic man manager and that means that he has always had in his immediate entourage people of various opinions and various philosophies of government.
So we’re speaking about a Putin team that is run by Mr Putin and not just by one Mr. Putin running the show himself. That has to be made clear!

Feds Say They Uncovered Prostitution Ring Serving Politicians, Military Officers, And Tech Execs
November 9th, 2023

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts has announced the arrests of two men and one woman suspected of operating a multi-state prostitution ring whose alleged client list includes elected officials, military officers, and executives at technology and pharmaceutical firms.
On Wednesday, acting U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy announced the arrests of Han Lee, a 41-year-old woman from Cambridge, Massachusetts; James Lee, a 68-year-old man from Torrance, California; and Junmyung Lee, a 30-year-old man from Dedham, Massachusetts, on suspicion of operating multiple brothels in Massachusetts and Virginia.
Federal investigators allege these three individuals operated a pair of websites that advertised professional photography appointments at high-end apartments rented by the three defendants. Investigators believe these photography sessions provided a front service, and the designated properties provided a controlled location at which women hired by the three defendants could transact the illicit sex services.
Mr. Levy’s office claims it has identified “a wide array of buyers” of this alleged prostitution ring’s services. Mr. Levy did not name any of the suspected clients in a Wednesday press briefing, but a Nov. 6 affidavit described a list that includes elected politicians, professors, lawyers, doctors, accountants, scientists, and executives for technology and pharmaceutical companies, along with other business executives. Boston-based Department of Homeland Security Agent Zachary A. Mitlitsky, who swore on behalf of the affidavit, said the client list also includes military officers and government contractors who possess security clearances.

A brief glimpse – and no more – into the real world. Consider the broad range of people using ‘the service’. Likely many of these ‘clients’ are controlled puppets operating in a wide variety of domains but influenced/controlled by an exclusive number of those with access to the client list.
This glimpse perhaps a clue as to how seeming impossibly far-flung conspiracies can be coordinated.

FANGIO
This morning I thought the war was widely open and I was in a radicalised state. Then exhausted this afternoon.
We try much to preview, we spend a huge energy in that.
20 years ago I was told about Fangio, an Argentinian F1 pilot from the 30’s.
He was very precise in his driving and he used to say:
When driving I don’t look at the road as something where I change place, but as a landscape that enter in me, as if I was seated in a movie show.
So here we are alive and enjoying the color of the fall trees. We can let the trouble and the beauties of life cross ourself.
Enter in front and leave behind.
We would spare a huge tension of trying to handle or think things that depass us.
Or we will relax between two stresses or dispairs.
The man who told me about Fangio was an old English people who wrote books, of this style. If anybody is interested his name was Douglas Harding. A man to be trusted, I would say.

The Soviet Union had a problems with succession, there’s no question Putin is aware of it and wants to leave a functioning meritocracy capable of broad vision as his legacy and he’s been working on it from the start of his tenure. Obviously a “democratic” revolving three ring circus is a must avoid, question is how to avoid either an inert technocracy, a self serving plutocracy, or a back stabbing paranoid dictatorship while being relentlessly undermined by western plots. I wish him and Russia only luck, the upcoming world will allow no slack and will not brook mistakes.

Mercouris is a good geo-political commentator.
He admits he’s not an expert on military matters or economics, and refers to others on their assessments.
I watch him quite often.
Now that Echo Chamber has insulted him, I will watch him even more…
(I don’t have a problem with someone who does not like or rate a particular commentator, but unless they can say why, then it’s just another ad hominem insult.)

part of the premium is because of the risk / fear that the US Government will be bankrupt in 10 years and will not pay back the capital. All 401ks will go bust too, long before that.

I enjoyed Jimmy Dore’s latest expose of the origins of Greta Thunberg.
How dare you!
Is anyone in here surprised that she was groomed by her parents for a Swedish NGO, linked to many larger NGOs promoting multi-trillion climate deals?
If anyone is surprised, or still doesn’t believe the evidence, I Live near London and I have a bridge to sell you.
