And you tell us all of this: Why? Because you are a cock sucking troll for the CIA and the NED, and a Zio pig as well: Well, have at it, Up to Eleven. I don’t always agree with Mr. Mercouris, or Scott Ritter for that matter, but I sure as fuck don’t support your bullshit attacks on people’s character until I know that the attacker is as pure as the drive snow.
What I do know is that personal attacks are usually a product of politics by people who are but hurt by what a person is saying now, not what they said or did in the past.

Thanks for historical tour down memory lane. I can remember most of it. This is all I’m saying my expectation of the near future is based on the past patterns of behaviour of those people and nations I spoke of. Their behavior decades ago as well as in the recent past too. You’ve described the arabs well, and I can recall how other key players have acted over Israeli aggression before. Including the greatest backstabber of them all the USA – what a piece of work the are proven to be.
Making repeated vapid statements and general ‘whining’ about Israel and it’s actions is par for the course. This time there has been some shifts, this is correct. The Arabs and the OIC had a joint summit of 50 nations and issued a Statement. That’s kind of new. Yet the behavior is the same nevertheless … no actions were adopted worth a dime. So it is just another nothing-burger event. Several nations have recalled ambassadors and cut diplomatic ties – that’s new and significant for those who did – unfortunately the effect will be zero but it is a good start and a great example for nations like Russia and China to adopt – but of course they won’t.
Meanwhile no one with any power will call for nor apply an embargo on sending arms to Israel — nor would they deploy an land, air and naval blockade on Israel / Hamas et al to enforce such a justified embargo.
Given this continued patter of behaviour I conclude nothing will be done to effect any impact on this conflict and therefore it will end when Israel says so and the everything will return to “normal” again – Gaza will remain an open air concentration camp where Palestinians are born to die – and no nation will seriously lift a finger to help them or bring justice to this crime against humanity by the Israelis and the USA and their backers.
I have heard the genuine arguments as why this time it is “different” and things will change a lot – never to be the same again – I understand the reasoning and the logic of this and yet I still don’t see this horrible situation unfolding that way. But they may well be correct – we’ll have to wait and see.
I think the situation will be much clearer once we get to January at the latest and we’ll probably be able to see (and understand) by then where this is heading in the medium short term.

And a real shift in behaviour would include such novel ideas and imposing a no fly zone over Israel and it’s borer areas. No more bombing raids or missiles into Gaza or Syria and Lebanon – there are those with the collective power to do that and take on the Americans and Europeans at their own game.
No force projection means no change in power balance and behavior in Israel/Palestine, period.
But I get why no one will step and do it. That’s my point – nothing substantial has changed and nothing will change. Once Israel stops bombing civilians and their homes the world will forget all about it and move in until next time. Israel will then continue stealing more and more land and imposing their genocide and tyranny upon the Palestinians 24/7.
Israel knows they can do whatever they want when they want. That’s the whole of the Law.

Another example of more of the same …..
https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/11/15/orfq-n15.html
On Tuesday, a degraded spectacle took place on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The “March for Israel” will be recorded in history as a rally for ethnic cleansing and genocide.
It had the backing of the entire political establishment, with Democratic and Republican leaders in both the US Senate and House featured as prominent speakers. The Biden administration sent as a representative its “Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism,” Deborah Lipstadt.”
Just hours later, in a move apparently coordinated with the rally, Israeli tanks and bulldozers attacked Al-Shifa Hospital, the latest blatant war crime.
…………………
Nothing will change. Xi and Putin will show up for the APEC meeting and not a word will be said not a single action will be taken to denounce or to stop the war crimes, the genocide, the slaughter of civilians nor Americas active direct support of them.
They will be MUTE on the subject. The rest will cheer Israel’s right to self-defense and the terrorism of Hamas will be condemned by all. Even though the west bank settlements are known for decades as blatant war crimes let alone what’s happening now in Gaza.
What’s different? Nothing really. Same ol’ street marches and the few rare denigrations from the alt media and the odd national govts and that’s it.
God help them … because no one else with any worldly power is going to.

Alexander Mercouris history of a depression episode after the caring for and later passing of his mother (IIRC), medical side effects from depression treatment episode, and disorientation while in legal procedings has been discussed on this site many years ago. Further there is an early episode on The Duran in which he goes into explaining the incident. Even though medical examinations concluded the depression medication caused erratic cognition leading to improper barrister protocol, and the board was considering this extenuating circumstance in their decision for penalty instead of disbarment, Mr. Mercouris insisted on disbarment as a matter of honor to his duty to his clients.
The matter is settled and wholly understandable. In fact, many would say his honor asked a higher price than the bar was looking to exact. If holding oneself stricter than usual impugns one’s integrity then we do live in interesting times. Regardless, his scholastic training in history and law, along with a traveled social upbringing amid high social classes and diplomatic etiquette, does lend an opinion worth considering in international affairs.
Be not too hasty in discarding various messengers & well-heeled (aka “been places”) council. Obviously always retain judgment, but be not closed off.

Searching this site using “Mercouris” and “disbarred” brings up a grand total of 2 hits
based on those results it looks like you are either not telling the truth or stretching the truth when you say “has been discussed on this site many years ago.”
since you neglect to include a link to back up your claims one is forced to conclude until you do that you are being deliberately economical with the truth

Check the search with just Mercouris, with an eye to 2019 to 2021. It’s been talked about here before. Best of luck sifting through the comments though. Things eventually get buried here in this format.

that would be a stupid way to search for what you claim is there, requiring far too much time
I have a much better idea, why don’t you search the site and find the evidence for your claim
the fact that using disbarred as a search term brings up almost nothing suggests that you’re lying
evidence free claims like yours can be dismissed out of hand

I have to say that is the most ridiculous story I have ever heard being offered to excuse bad behaviour.
One would have to be a gullible idiot to believe any of it.
It’s like someone having murdered their parents demanding mercy on the basis of their now being an orphan
It has all the believability of an IDF press statement.
I’m with UpToEleven on this one and think that Titmouse is simply outright lying about all this.
The fact that UpToEleven searched for this alleged conversation using the word “disbarred” and came up empty handed strongly suggests that Titmouse has simply made the whole thing up out of thin air.
It would be impossible to discuss Mercouris’s disbarment without actually using the word “Disbarred”, and titmouse’s claim that such a conversation occurred on this site is simply not believable.
I’m calling bullshit on Titmouse’s ridiculous story until he or she produces the evidence to back it up.
Only a fool would believe that someone who studied for years to qualify for the bar of England and Wales would willingly suddenly turn around and demand their own removal and disbarment.
A more ridiculois story would be hard to find.
@titmouse : it looks like your pants are on fire

“He allows himself to be described as a barrister, when in fact he has been disbarred. A fact he has mostly managed to keep hidden from his adoring fans. Sputnik for instance describes him as “A London Lawyer” which seems to be stretching the truth a little, to put it mildly. Mercouris seems loath to correct them on that error. Again this speaks to his character, and not at all favorably”.

Exactly.
Someone who allegedly made an honorable decision to ask for his own disbarment, (itself a high dubious assertion) as titmouse hilariously claims, would never then later allow himself to continue to be described as “A London Lawyer”.
No honorable person would behave like that.
Therefore it is most likely that either titmouse or Mercouris himself has simply lied about it all.

*** Israel knows they can do whatever they want when they want. That’s the whole of the Law.***
Claims of them being a front for “the West” (ie. US-empire/NATO) simply don’t make sense. It is the other way round. The zionist network serving Israel controls “the West” through bought, blackmailed or indoctrinated politicians and senior administrators — plus of course the power of big-finance. None of which anyone is supposed to notice — and about which there are ever more laws and censorships imposed throughout the NATO puppet-dictatorships to prevent such abuses ever being mentioned and discussed.
As for Russia, just how much more pandering to them, their criminal Oligarchs, neoliberal economic system and other interests will — or can — Putin do?
