The guy is a self proclaimed ‘expert’ who referred to himself as ‘The Oracle of London’ at one point (I haven’t heard that moniker in a while though). He is always claiming he predicted outcomes, when if you look closely at his ‘predictions’, they are rarely correct, maybe in the ballpark (sometimes). Beyond that, he has an extremely annoying habit of saying ‘I am not a military expert’ and then pontificating about all things military for 45 minutes.
I stopped listening to him a long time ago, most of the youtube ‘experts’ are obsessed with screaming ‘WW3’ and ‘escalation’ because they know it sells. If what is happening in Ukraine or Gaza has taught us anything, it is that these conflicts are tightly controlled because so many interests are potentially affected. None of these people want to lose their seat at the table, which is why, for example, there is precious little action from the Arab states vs Israel (and there won’t be). They’ll get to a certain number of dead in Gaza and then it will stop, Netanyahu will stay in power, and nothing will change. Remember the definition of insanity …

What I’m starting to see is that “legal” arguments are failing when big players are involved (well, what’s new here, really) as there is no enforcement. All actions short of stepping directly into a courtroom are going to be pretty much anything but legal.
It is times like these that the notion of a judgemwnt day (for each imdividual) is the only thing we can really hope for.
What I WANT and what WILL BE don’t necessarily align.
Lastly, none of this is “contolled.” What even the powerful WANT isn’t necessarilly what WILL BE. The powerful just have more means to mitigate, to hedge their bets. Morals in these folks are likely rarer than hens teeth. But history tells us all this.

Mercouris has argued that all out war by the US after 9/11, and by Israel after the Hamas operation was ill advised – from their point of view. He has argued that they could have achieved more by seeking international support and treating it as a criminal incident. He was being purely pragmatic, not a Zionist shill. Agree with him or not as you wish. He was just suggesting both countries could have achieved much more by adopting that approach.
I have found Mercouris’s presentation and predictions to be lucid, accurate and useful. (Compare it to the legacy media.) He predicted the resignations of Kwarteng and Truss to the day. He makes it clear that his discussion of military events is a summary of the views of other writers with the specialist knowledge he lacks. But if you don’t find his content useful the solution is obvious – go elsewhere.

He regretted, meanwhile, that the resolutions passed by the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, did not live up to the expectations and did not include practical and immediate measures to stop the Israeli aggression and bloodbath.
However, he said, the summit resolution calling for breaking the siege on Gaza and sending urgent aid to its population was a resolution in the right direction, “and we will be waiting for its immediate implementation including the permanent opening of the Rafah crossing and safe corridors for humanitarian assistance.”
In conclusion, the Hamas leader hailed the Arab, Islamic and free people of the world’s massive rallies in support of Gaza and in rejection of the “Israeli, Nazi crimes.” He called for more such rallies in rejection of Israeli crimes and genocide against innocent children and civilians.

Exile@85….some favs….The Gallant Forty-Twa, Bold Fenien Men…..fond childhood memories of singing in the back seat as we traversed the Free State looking for a B&B to stay the night.
It did warm my heart to watch some vids from a Palestinian fund raiser held in a Belfast Pub this past weekend. Where new ‘rebel’ songs where heard to ring out across the land.

What Mercouris said was that if he were Israel, the best way to respond to 10/7 would be to lodge a human rights complaint against Hamas in the UN.
The reality is that there were at least some atrocities in 10/7 – certainly not as much as the Western MSM is trying to portray, but also certainly Hamas is not pure as the driven snow.
The above approach certainly would have resulted in far less dead Palestinians although it would never have occurred, because Netanyahu has been teetering for years on the edge of losing power and then going to jail.
