Scoop: Austin warned Gallant about Israeli military actions in LebanonAxios, Nov 12 2023

Biden administration officials are satisfied that Hezbollah's leader Hasan Nasrallah's speeches over the last week didn't include a call for further escalation and saw that as a sign that their messages were being heard, one source said.

Ron Unz is a national treasure. As a Jewish man, he can tell the truth like no other, and he is a very well and widely read, extremely intelligent and careful person, with a pedigree almost second to none.
He has boldly and loudly proclaimed certain unspeakable truths and caused the masks to drop one by one. Anne Frank died of typhus after spending six months in a German hospital. I tell you, those Nazis sure were incompetent in running their “death camps”.
So much of the past 120 years has been nothing but lies. The real history is almost the exact opposite of what everyone has been told. I think the powers that be will eventually have to shut down the internet to keep this game going. The truth is the West has been “occupied” for 100s of years and America since the early 1900s. I hope the Resistance is up to the task of freeing ALL of the people of the world from this cancer, because that is what needs to be done.
As much as I was dismayed to hear RFK, Jr.’s comments on Israel, I was not surprised. After all, don’t you think he knows the “hidden hand” who definitely was behind the murder of his uncle, and most likely his father??
Tell me, what is “Jack Ruby’s” full, real name?? And what were his connections. Indeed.
The truth will out…

China’s own state media said it has to be cautious not to overextend itself.
I need a citation. I doubt your claim. Chinese “state media” broadcasts state policy (90% verbatim) as published by the several ministries. Chinese “state media” embellishes state policy and legislation in editorial format, annotated primarily by academic (“think tank”) commentaries and with relevant provincial feature reporting. Chinese “state media” also critiques G7 policy statements, speeches, and “journalism,” sometimes annotated by foreign subject matter experts’ commentary. Finally, because I’ve read fmPRC daily press conferences for 10 yrs, I can confidently state that “overexten[sion]” is not a topic of Chinese “state media.” To the contrary: industrial growth, ethnic plurality, “free trade,” and criticism of NATO “bloc” expansion and disruption of domestic governance are 4 pillars of Chinese “state media” polemic.
But as for te Saudi Iran deal, the maligned [?] meeting in Riyadh on Saturday would not have happened without that Chinese-facilitated Saudi Iran [“]deal[“].
Congratulations. You have obliquely identified one mission of Chinese diplomatic activity in the prior 40 years: Joint Trilateral Statement by the People’s Republic of China, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Islamic Republic of Iran (10.03.23)—from which followed SA-YE truce, Arab League rapprochement, and most recently the LAC-OIC convention.
Here is fmPRC’s official explanation of tripartite “breakthrough”. Here is CIA director, Ambassador Bill Burns’ inexplicable complaint, although King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Xi Jinping had publicized their “common understandings on many issues” a year earlier. Left unsaid are years of fmPRC “outreach” to GCC and OIC as well as MOF.gov and MOFCOM.gov earnest money ventures. China-OIC Relations, 2010-1016.
NEWS FROM THE FUTURE. If you want to know where fmPRC has sent “special envoys” any given day, look it up.
We shall see if it is as fragile as the Abraham Accords.
Exactly three (3) members of the twenty-two (22) member Arab League are parties of an Abraham Accord—AE, BH, MA. By any measure of “influence” ascribed to them by state.gov, these TIES scarcely merit ARAB WORLD “normalization of relations” with Israel.
I guess not because the root of the Gaza conflict is and remains the Al-Aqsa mosque. Probably deals being made with Israel behind the scenes.
Pro-Tip: If one is unfamiliar with a subject, don’t be a dick. Just ask for help.

Best case scenario, Hezbolla is adopting tactic like the rolling UAW strike in US. Worst case, they & Arab states do nothing and watch the Palestinians get wiped out. They’re next tho. …

Get that shit outta here.
UAW “tactics” are to pretend to strike while setting up a big sell out of the workers in secret with the big guy. To compare Hizballah to Shaun “Feign” is ridiculous. The former is a sincere fighter for his people against imperialism, the other is a corporate stooge.

They don’t want it with China. The Uyghur genocide has in fact been memory holed. Imperialism has lost its head. It has no plan but throw what’s left of their overrated military power at anyone but china and hope something good happens, but it always comes up shit.
They talk a good game in China but I think at least intuitively some of the foreign policy people know that’s the third rail. The fallout from merely setting a proxy against Russia is bad enough and looking to get a lot worse.
Try that with China and they are doomed. A great depression will overwhelm western imperialism the moment the shooting starts.

Yesterday I saw that the Otago Daily Times had near the top of its ‘most popular’ links side column a long article questioning “Is this the new apartheid?” Well, so what? I hear you saying.
‘What’ is that the ODT is New Zealand’s most prestigious newspaper. The article is long and it only says what we have been posting here since Oct 7. It leads with a photo of Palestinians fleeing their homes as the Israelis commandeered their land back during the Nakhba.
This was the first. Today the above link is an ‘Editor’s pick’. Top of the list.

@ Arch Bungle 48
“Alexander Mercouris mentioned the other day that Jewish ‘israeli’ members of the Wagner Group had gone to Palestine (or been called) to participate.”
Mercouris is not credible anymore. Last week he said the only solution was for Hamas leaders to be arrested and put on trial by the ICC. etc. etc. Mercouris went full-on Zionist in says “what must be done” and he had no sarcasm. Mercouris knows the facts, so he must have been “turned”. So now he is a sophisticated hasbara mouthpiece. I’m done with him. One thing coming from this tragic genocide is the outing of many Zionists. RFK Jr. for example. He was a big fish – and now he’s a rotting fish.

Tom, hard to tell if you are being sarcastic but if you actually read Cameron’s speech you will not only encounter the mantra about Israel’s right to defend itself but also this:
“Britain fully supports the great work that American Secretary of State John Kerry has been leading, and we believe that in Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Abbas, you have leaders who want peace too.”
And Jess, about Mercouris, he also said the ICC should prosecute the Israeli leaders.

what have we become
said the father to his son
we have failed to respond to
the battles they have won
we have turned our heads

our willingness to bend

There is a lot of ‘not getting it’ going around, b.
The saner heads of Hezbollah know what they’re dealing with: genocidal maniacs. And that does include Genocide Joe and the entirety of his regime.
The ‘west’ wants its cake – Nakba 2.0 – and wants to eat it too – no resistance to Nakba 2.0.
When the resistance against the US presence in the Middle East begins, and it will, it will include all of the resistance including Iran, Russia and China.
Is there one sane head in the USA? Don’t bet on it.

The guy is a self proclaimed ‘expert’ who referred to himself as ‘The Oracle of London’ at one point (I haven’t heard that moniker in a while though). He is always claiming he predicted outcomes, when if you look closely at his ‘predictions’, they are rarely correct, maybe in the ballpark (sometimes). Beyond that, he has an extremely annoying habit of saying ‘I am not a military expert’ and then pontificating about all things military for 45 minutes.
I stopped listening to him a long time ago, most of the youtube ‘experts’ are obsessed with screaming ‘WW3’ and ‘escalation’ because they know it sells. If what is happening in Ukraine or Gaza has taught us anything, it is that these conflicts are tightly controlled because so many interests are potentially affected. None of these people want to lose their seat at the table, which is why, for example, there is precious little action from the Arab states vs Israel (and there won’t be). They’ll get to a certain number of dead in Gaza and then it will stop, Netanyahu will stay in power, and nothing will change. Remember the definition of insanity …

I found that incredibly informative from the Arab point of view.

Living in western europe what troubles me the most is the way governments are trying to fight and persecute all dissent.
Yes I’m worried about our economy being thrown under the bus
Yes I’m worried about all that will follow
But nothing worries me more than fascist governments under the guise of “liberal democracy”.
Though it works for them I don’t particularly like the overreach of china’s party.
But between russia, supposed bogeyman dictatorship in wartime, and so called democracies, supposed “we’re so good democracies and proper”, in western europe… I know what is worse…
I grew up in the 80’s, the most admirable thing about the US was how being and ass was sacred, europe had some control streaks but we thought it was a wwii trauma, now its (barely disguised) fascism with a rainbow sticking out of the ass…

I grew up in the 80’s, the most admirable thing about the US was how being and ass was sacred, europe had some control streaks but we thought it was a wwii trauma, now its (barely disguised) fascism with a rainbow sticking out of the ass…

re Mercouris, was there context? Such as, IF this were to be resolved in a purely legal sense would what he said be unappropriate?
What I’m starting to see is that “legal” arguments are failing when big players are involved (well, what’s new here, really) as there is no enforcement. All actions short of stepping directly into a courtroom are going to be pretty much anything but legal.
It is times like these that the notion of a judgemwnt day (for each imdividual) is the only thing we can really hope for.
What I WANT and what WILL BE don’t necessarily align.
Lastly, none of this is “contolled.” What even the powerful WANT isn’t necessarilly what WILL BE. The powerful just have more means to mitigate, to hedge their bets. Morals in these folks are likely rarer than hens teeth. But history tells us all this.

Cohen (FM of Zionist Apatheid regime): “We only have two weeks …” (machine translation)
http://fna.ir/3fyw97
According to the report of Fars News Agency, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen pointed out the increase in international pressure against the Zionist regime.
He said: “International pressures against us to end the war are increasing.”
Cohen continued: “We only have two weeks to complete the work before international pressure takes effect.”
At the same time as the temporary Zionist regime ignores the international calls to stop the criminal attacks on the Gaza Strip and the killing of the Palestinian people, the International Red Cross also warned about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in this region.
Alena Sinenko, the representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said today (Monday) in an interview with the “Russia 24” channel that the humanitarian and medical situation in the Gaza Strip is very dire and in critical conditions.
On the other hand, demonstrations against the Zionist regime are widely taking place in cities and countries of the world.
About 10,000 people from all over the state of Texas in America supported the Palestinian people against the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza yesterday and demanded a ceasefire in front of the state capitol building.
According to an American news site, this is the largest gathering of Palestinian supporters in the state of Texas since the beginning of the war on October 7.

Jess D Truth/ Bob Hopkins –
Mercouris has never referred to himself as the Oracle of London.
A co presenter, Christoforou, has jokingly described him as such on a couple of occasions.
Mercouris has argued that all out war by the US after 9/11, and by Israel after the Hamas operation was ill advised – from their point of view. He has argued that they could have achieved more by seeking international support and treating it as a criminal incident. He was being purely pragmatic, not a Zionist shill. Agree with him or not as you wish. He was just suggesting both countries could have achieved much more by adopting that approach.
I have found Mercouris’s presentation and predictions to be lucid, accurate and useful. (Compare it to the legacy media.) He predicted the resignations of Kwarteng and Truss to the day. He makes it clear that his discussion of military events is a summary of the views of other writers with the specialist knowledge he lacks. But if you don’t find his content useful the solution is obvious – go elsewhere.

Israel’s assault on Gaza has as its aim the ethnic cleansing of the region, in which Palestinians who survive bombing, starvation and dehydration will be permanently expelled from their land. That is the official position of senior Israeli Ministers.
In an interview on Saturday, Israeli security cabinet member and Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter, a member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, declared, “We are now rolling out the Gaza Nakba.” The Nakba, meaning “catastrophe” in Arabic, refers to the ethnic cleansing of about 700,000 Palestinian Arabs resulting from the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and the establishment of Israel.
Dichter, a former director of Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, declared, “Gaza Nakba 2023. That’s how it’ll end.”
https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/11/13/nvub-n13.html
Bezalel Smotrich, Minister of Finance since 2022 and leader of the Religious Zionist Party, proposed his “Decisive Plan” six years ago. Palestinians would have a choice: to renounce their national aspirations and continue living on their land in an inferior status, or to emigrate. Those who refused — men, women or children — would be regarded as terrorists and killed. He also called for the Israeli annexation of the West Bank. “Gaza Nakba 2023” is another name for the “Smotrich Doctrine,” that Palestinians should emigrate or die.

This is the America-led Nabka on a planetary scale.
@ ak74 | Nov 13 2023 14:35 utc | 49

Well said, thank you. USA leads the way in all venues, from blood-libelous propaganda to state-of-the-art ordnance of aerial death, all crafted to murderous efficiency with the “made in USA” label proudly stitched on.
Among the desperately cynical contortions of the USUKIsrael (pronounced “you suck Israel”) hegeman lately, one of the most twisted is the transformation of Judaism’s symbol, the Star of David, into an horrific martial stamp. It’s Onward Jewish Soldiers:

Israeli soldiers have painted the Star of David on the heavily damaged Qatari consulate building in the Gaza Strip, according to media reports.

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/israel-palestine-war-qatar-gaza-consulate-soldiers-paint-star-david
Why? It seems Arendt’s worst nightmares have come true: Nazis run the Jewish State of Israel, especially the IDF, in order to deliberately provoke hatred of all Jews, worldwide. We have the photographs to prove it.

I followed the link you provided to “the best article you’ve read in a long time”, which on that site was posted next to a long article by the same author saying the moon landings were a hoax. I didn’t find it, but I’m sure there is an article there about how aliens built the pyramids or Hitler is alive in Antarctica. That would be the same level. There are plenty of great articles critical of Zionism without resorting to purveyors of nonsense.

There is nothing the world can do to stop Israel. Calls for “moderation” mean nothing as the US leadership and Deep State are nearly messianic about supporting Israel. US and European leadership will supply all the material support Israel needs right or wrong. Expect the regional war and with that all heck break loose between Syria, Hezbollah, Iran vs. Israeli/US coalition.

BEIRUT – Senior Hamas leader Osama Hamdan told a press conference in Beirut on Sunday evening that none other but the Palestinians would rule the Gaza Strip.
“We tell the US administration that Gaza will be only ruled by its people,” he asserted, adding that “whoever comes to rule Gaza on board your tanks will be considered a traitor.”
Shifting to the Israeli war on Gaza, Hamdan said that the world’s silence towards the Israeli massacre in the Baptist Hospital in Gaza had encouraged it to commit more massacres.
“The whole world has witnessed the Israeli bombing of hospitals, medical personnel and the targeting of ambulance vehicles other than the daily bombing of houses over the heads of their occupants,” He added.
“We hold the US administration and President (Joe) Biden in particular fully responsible for those crimes as they are committed with American weapons and unlimited American support,” Hamdan said.
“The Israeli entity is the real threat to humanity and to the security and peace of the region and the world at large,” the Hamas leader said.
He regretted, meanwhile, that the resolutions passed by the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, did not live up to the expectations and did not include practical and immediate measures to stop the Israeli aggression and bloodbath.
However, he said, the summit resolution calling for breaking the siege on Gaza and sending urgent aid to its population was a resolution in the right direction, “and we will be waiting for its immediate implementation including the permanent opening of the Rafah crossing and safe corridors for humanitarian assistance.”

In conclusion, the Hamas leader hailed the Arab, Islamic and free people of the world’s massive rallies in support of Gaza and in rejection of the “Israeli, Nazi crimes.” He called for more such rallies in rejection of Israeli crimes and genocide against innocent children and civilians.

Posted by: pretzelattack | Nov 13 2023 17:07 utc | 80
Isn’t that obvious? Ironically the neocon publication Foreign Policy had this to say about Cameron in 2016:
“No prime minister in living memory has suffered a defeat of such cataclysmic proportions; none has been so thoroughly humiliated by his own electorate. Cameron lost control of his party and then his country. The consequences of that carelessness will be felt, in Britain and internationally, for years to come. Future political historians will ponder a melancholy question: what was the point of David Cameron? And their judgment is likely to be severe.”
From The Independent also in 2016, re Iraq War:
“David Cameron has refused to admit that the Iraq War was “a mistake” or “wrong” in the wake of the damning Chilcot Report into the invasion. Mr Cameron, who voted for the war in 2003, said people would have to come to their own conclusions about whether it was right or wrong.”
And as for Cameron’s contribution to the mess in Libya, I posted earlier. What was going on in Sunak’s mind? Is he bringing Tony Blair and David Cameron back together?

Expect the regional war

In my view from the astral, this is the Maericans obvious objective since the start of this bloody and inhuman massacre. Jake Sullivan and the others dream of a ‘limited’ war where they can bomb Iran and fuck up the world economy without escalation. Nearby states were supposed to intervene to provide a handy pretext for Maerican direct involvement but failing that, one will be invented.
Trouble is following their strikes on Iran, Maerica immediately will lose several carriers and some support ships. Up the escalation ladder we go to at least a significant world conventional conflict. I’m sure this has been gamed out.
Give me the odds on it going nuclear, I’d rather not fucking try the fuzzy logic math, but given the track record on schemes by the gang who brought you Iraq, brought you Libya, Syria, Ukraine, I’m thinking armageddon. In fact I’m worried these fuckheads would try a nuclear first strike. If not mistaken their cowardly doctrines allow it.
I bet some people will still be watching Netflix and completely unaware a conflict is even going on. As I have said, the alien invasion has been called off. We are suiciding ourselves. I’d love to be wrong.

Work on your listening comprehension.
What Mercouris said was that if he were Israel, the best way to respond to 10/7 would be to lodge a human rights complaint against Hamas in the UN.
The reality is that there were at least some atrocities in 10/7 – certainly not as much as the Western MSM is trying to portray, but also certainly Hamas is not pure as the driven snow.
The above approach certainly would have resulted in far less dead Palestinians although it would never have occurred, because Netanyahu has been teetering for years on the edge of losing power and then going to jail.
