The Israelis are so sure about the location of the Hamas bunker, however, not because they are trying to score propaganda points, or because it has been repeatedly mentioned in passing by Western reporters—but because they built it. Back in 1983, when Israel still ruled Gaza, they built a secure underground operating room and tunnel network beneath Shifa hospital—which is one among several reasons why Israeli security sources are so sure that there is a main Hamas command bunker in or around the large cement basement beneath the area of Building 2 of the Hospital, which reporters are obviously prohibited from entering.
I bet 100 to 1 that nothing Hamas is present in the well known bunker beneath the Shifa hospital.

The following brief reportage analysis represents the first of two reportages. The first report delves into a brief examination of the geopolitical significance of the Gazan gas fields off shore, and Israel’s unscrupulous coveting of this prime Palestinian patrimony, implementing a nefarious plan of ethnic cleansing to achieve this goal.
“It is gratifying when one catches a thief in the gross act of stealing another’s economic patrimony from right under their noses in such a blatant manner. This is the case regarding the rationale behind the rogue Israeli state’s moves against the people of Gaza last month, who have suffered close to 12,000 deaths, over 4,500 of which have been children. It is quite clear that, for the most part, governments which engage in military conflicts almost always have underlying reasons, namely economic, to justify their murderous foundations. That the rogue gas thief, Israel, has coveted the large gas fields off Gaza has been known for some time now.
To fully understand why Israel has attacked Gaza, “you have to go deep, exactly 600 meters below sea level, 30 km off the coast. Here, in Palestinian waters, there is a large natural gas field, Gaza Marine, estimated at 30 billion cubic meters worth billions of dollars.”
This has been revealed through the researches of maverick investigative journalists who have attempted to piece together the puzzle, exposing the chief reason Israel is now so intent on removing the whole Palestinian population out of the Gaza Strip.
From 2019 through 2021, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) had furnished numerous studies, articles, briefs and reports at length regarding the Gaza gas fields and their economic benefits for the Palestinian people at large.
The following comes from just one UNCTAD report from 2019: “Oil and natural gas resources in the occupied Palestinian territory could generate hundreds of billions of dollars for development.” The report did reveal this caveat for serious consideration: “Israel’s exploitation of Palestinian natural resources, including oil and natural gas, imposes on the Palestinian people enormous costs that escalate as the occupation remains in effect.”
Another UNCTAD study conducted two years later waxed poetic about the economic possibilities of the exploitation of these resources for the Palestinian people: “A fair distribution of oil and gas resources in the Levant Basin will be needed to achieve a lasting political and economic settlement between Israel and Palestine.”
According to this report: “An overlooked means of generating these revenues would be to allocate Palestine its fair share of oil and natural gas reserves in the occupied territories and the Eastern Mediterranean, which are currently being exploited only by Israel.”
Nevertheless, all this pie in the sky talk about ‘fair distribution’ and ‘sharing of the benefits’ between Israel and Palestine is simply fantasy, as it runs into the reality of the situation in the Gaza Strip. The fact is that the Israeli military occupation of Palestinian territories since that fateful year of 1967 and the egregious blockade of the Gaza Strip since 2007 “have prevented the Palestinian people from exercising any control over their own fossil fuel resources, denying them much-needed fiscal and export revenues and leaving the Palestinian economy on the verge of collapse.”
What we all do know is that the horrific economic costs inflicted on the Palestinian people are well documented: “tight restrictions on the movement of people and goods; the confiscation and destruction of property and assets; loss of land, water and natural resources; a fragmented domestic market and separation from neighboring and international markets; and the expansion of Israeli settlements that are illegal under international law.”
A noteworthy 2013 study penned by one Felicity Arbuthnot was quite prescient regarding the current crisis in Gaza, where she wrote at the time: “Israel is set to become a major exporter of gas and some oil, “If All Goes to Plan.” What does “If All Goes to Plan” really mean? It means that this “If All Goes to Plan” option basically involves “bypassing Palestine and “Wiping Gaza off the Map,” as well as confiscating All Gaza’s maritime offshore gas reserves, worth billions of dollars.” Seen in this light, the ultimate objective is not only to “exclude Palestinians from their homeland, it consists in confiscating the multi-billion dollar Gaza offshore Natural Gas reserves.”
In order to accomplish this goal, the viciously corrupt Netanyahu government’s Intelligence Division released a secret memorandum recommending the “forcible and permanent transfer of the Gaza Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinian residents to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, namely to a refugee camp in Egyptian territory.” This 10 page secret memorandum was dated October 10th, 2023, presented three viable options:
“Option A – the population remaining in Gaza with the Palestinian Authority (PA) rule;
Option B – the population remaining in Gaza along with the emergence of a local Arab authority;
Option C – the evacuation of the civilian population from Gaza to Sinai.”
The assessment of these three options revolved around the idea of how best to achieve the desired results of snatching the Gazan Gas Fields in a timely and efficient manner, as this was Israel’s end goal from the very start.
As a result, the recommendation was carried through and the decision was made “that a full population transfer as its preferred course of action.” There is no question as to the ‘authenticity of the document, as it was confirmed by the ministry, and has been translated into English from the original Hebrew.’
This can be confirmed by Global Research. If one were to delve further into the implications of the Israeli government adopting Option C, then things become clearer when putting together all the dirtied pieces to this notoriously sordid geopolitical jigsaw puzzle.
The assessment regarding Option C is telling from the text in the secret memorandum: “Option C – the option that will yield the positive, long-term strategic outcomes for Israel, and is an executable option. It requires determination from the political echelon in the face of international pressure, with an emphasis on harnessing the support of the United States and additional pro-Israel countries for the endeavor.”
In other words, the assessment gleaned from the pages of the secret memorandum vociferously argues for the wholesale ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population in Gaza, with the help from the US and countries favorably disposed to Israel.
As we fast forward to the present in 2023, it can be seen that the Netanyahu government’s declared war against the Palestinian people is merely a continuation of its “2008-2009 invasion of Gaza under “Operation Cast Lead.”
There is no question that the goal here is the “expulsion of Palestinians from their Homeland,” by means of an “outright military occupation of Gaza” by the Israeli IOF (Israeli Occupational Forces).
Powerful criminal interests in the form of neo-colonial foreign governments and corporations favorable to the Israeli view of things will also stand to benefit from this treacherous plan of ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians. One of these countries unsurprisingly is Egypt. In 2021-22, both Egypt and Israel were engaged in secret “bilateral” talks regarding “the extraction of natural gas off the coast of the Gaza Strip.”
According to an official in the Egyptian intelligence service speaking to the paper Al-Monitor, that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Egypt and Israel, which had the rubber stamp of the Palestinian National Authority (PA).” Further, this same Egyptian intelligence official told Al-Monitor that “Israel required the start of practical measures to extract gas from the Gaza fields at the beginning of 2024 to ensure its own security.” If this was the timeline for the plan, “i.e., the confiscation of Palestine’s offshore Maritime Gas Reserves is the “The Beginning of 2024.”
Of course, the fact that the Palestinian Authority (PA) would rubber stamp the wholesale theft of Palestinian economic patrimony to a brutal occupier says much about its relative worth as “controlled opposition” to the rogue Israeli State.
