Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Shifa Hospital Bunker – How Would They Know?

Big claims:

Israel claim Hamas headquarters is hidden under the Shifa Hospital in Gazanews.com.au – October 31 2023

Israel-Gaza war: US says Hamas has command centre under Al-Shifa hospitalBBC – November 14 2023

But how would they know?

Top Secret Hamas Command Bunker in Gaza RevealedTablet – July 29 2014 (!!!)

The Israelis are so sure about the location of the Hamas bunker, however, not because they are trying to score propaganda points, or because it has been repeatedly mentioned in passing by Western reporters—but because they built it. Back in 1983, when Israel still ruled Gaza, they built a secure underground operating room and tunnel network beneath Shifa hospital—which is one among several reasons why Israeli security sources are so sure that there is a main Hamas command bunker in or around the large cement basement beneath the area of Building 2 of the Hospital, which reporters are obviously prohibited from entering.

I bet 100 to 1 that nothing Hamas is present in the well known bunker beneath the Shifa hospital.

I wonder if what we see in Palestine is reminiscent of the colonisation of North America by the Europeans.
The first ones, the Pilgrims (First Aliyah) were apparently well received by the locals. Then more and more came … also from the USA … Reservations were set up … and increasingly reduced in size.
Only the scalpers and government incentives are still missing.
And the neighbours persist in their structures designed to maintain the power of the “ruling family”.
Israel has nuclear weapons.
The Saudis should give their weapons to Yemen and all together should close the US bases in their countries.

@ Arch Bungle 130
naturally, I agree with you.
It´s just – look at the situation in Germany – you cannot put it into words any more.
So if I did have a bullet proof piece proving to every sheep in this country beyond doubt what TABLET puts out in the headline that would have been really neat. But I thought the evidence presented in the article didn´t live up to it.
p.s. why sticking to such childish, short-sighted fact-mania? Well because even the fact that the UN, all NGOs and 90% of the world are looking at Gaza in complete disbelief, doesn´t stop people like German scholar-“legend” Jürgen Habermas and his acolytes from publishing an open letter like this:
German / English link or see complete text below:
“Principles of solidarity. A statement”
https://www.normativeorders.net/2023/grundsatze-der-solidaritat/
(It´s embarassing. In fact the ONLY piece of evidence German intellectual unculture would accept would be if the Israelis themselves were to admit to committing war crimes. The maturity in Germany is on about that depraved level):
“Principles of solidarity. A statement
The current situation created by Hamas‘ extreme atrocity and Israel’s response to it has led to a cascade of moral and political statements and protests. We believe that amidst all the conflicting views being expressed, there are some principles that should not be disputed. They are the basis of a rightly understood solidarity with Israel and Jews in Germany.
The Hamas massacre with the declared intention of eliminating Jewish life in general has prompted Israel to strike back. How this retaliation, which is justified in principle, is carried out is the subject of controversial debate; principles of proportionality, the prevention of civilian casualties and the waging of a war with the prospect of future peace must be the guiding principles. Despite all the concern for the fate of the Palestinian population, however, the standards of judgement slip completely when genocidal intentions are attributed to Israel’s actions.
In particular, Israel’s actions in no way justify anti-Semitic reactions, especially not in Germany. It is intolerable that Jews in Germany are once again exposed to threats to life and limb and have to fear physical violence on the streets. The democratic ethos of the Federal Republic of Germany, which is orientated towards the obligation to respect human dignity, is linked to a political culture for which Jewish life and Israel’s right to exist are central elements worthy of special protection in light of the mass crimes of the Nazi era. The commitment to this is fundamental to our political life. The elementary rights to freedom and physical integrity as well as to protection from racist defamation are indivisible and apply equally to all. All those in our country who have cultivated anti-Semitic sentiments and convictions behind all kinds of pretexts and now see a welcome opportunity to express them uninhibitedly must also abide by this.

The backing of so many Labour lawmakers showed levels of disquiet in the party over the war in Gaza.

Very gentlemanly of them to show levels of disquiet.
My word lads, this spot of trouble in the always troublesome Middle East reminds me we have a fox hunt to attend.
Or would the horror best be compared to America’s history as in Wounded Knee and the Trail of Tears. Benny and his Jets are all in on that, and old Joe is riding shotgun into infamy.
But America is a civilized Nation and Israel has the most moral army in the world.
Don’t cha know, as my old bro used to say.

If anyone finds the full text of the UN resolution please post. Last time I tried to look, it took the UN forever to put them up. It’s so disappointing. After all this no call for ceasefire and according to Al Jazeera:
Palestinian Ambassador to the UN says UNSC resolution did not condemn
-Israeli ‘indiscriminate attacks’
-killing by Israel of 11,000 Palestinians, including some 5,000 Palestinian children
-assault on hospitals and schools
the killing by Israel of UN staff, journalists, humanitarian personnel, doctors, rescue teams.
-arbitrary imprisonment of thousands of Palestinians – men, women and children – nor call for their immediate and unconditional release
Basically “selective outrage” actions taken by the international community, which do not include urging Israel to implement the resolution.
Shows “disregards for Palestinian life and refusal to recognise Israeli crimes, which are undeniable”
Israel basically says, who cares about this, we don’t abide by any other UNSC resolution anyway.
If the Resolution calls for Hamas to release Israeli hostages but allows Israel to keep thouands of Palestinian hostages who are being brutally abused and denied medical care….

After the binding resolution of UNSC for an hour ago was adopted, Zionist Apartheid regime representative informed security council that his government is not going to follow and comply the humanitarian rule of the international community.
Now, its interesting to see if there will be a no-fly zone over Gaza and multinational boots on the ground, neutralizing the occupation army which continue the atrocities and genocide of the population of Gaza … A “Coalition of the willing”, should be the next step, right?

@ 600w | Nov 15 2023 22:08 utc | 201

North America’s indigenes suffered the uniquely bloodthirsty depredations of the British style of settler-colonialism (as in “British Mandate Palestine”). By contrast, the Spanish and Portuguese styles of colonialism, dominant south of USA, emphasized enslavement and exploitation of their original inhabitants, rather than extermination.
Our so called “Indian Wars” in USA, drawing to a grotesque close with the military massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890, were genocidal wars of extermination, like what’s going on in Gaza. Except today’s genocidal spectacles are televised for all the world to see…
Will that make any difference, this time? Ajamu Baraka says USA has gone too far this time, but then again, we always have. What happens when a genocide is not stopped, when it’s as successful as California’s extirpation of its original inhabitants? You’re not supposed to say any Indian people have been totally exterminated, but the original inhabitants here in the Bay Area are the Ohlone people. I met some once, at a special event. Otherwise, you never bump into Ohlone people, because they are people of a past tense.
This is what we’re watching in progress: total erasure of Palestinians, like the Ohlone. We might succeed in stopping it. We might not. Patrick Lawrence talks of a 500-year “hinge of history,” which strikes me as beyond wildly optimistic:

of the two horrible choices, it’s better to have IDF storm the hospitals than bomb them. The IDF can identify and clear any alleged Hamas soldiers and then the UN workers and UN peacekeepers should be brought in to secure the hospital allowing the doctors and patients to remain.

“…Nicole Deitelhoff, Rainer Forst, Klaus Günther und Jürgen Habermas…” AG@202
You have to give Habermas credit: he makes no pretence about it. He is an immoral and deceitful careerist and he doesn’t care who knows it.
A lesser man might have been concerned about the judgement of posterity, but Habermas and his friends have no such worries: just keep the heating cranked up to comfortable, never miss a meal or eat a bad one and keep pay cheques rolling in.
In the end we are all dead- all that matters is the present and there aren’t any bombs falling in Tubingen. Prost!

Palestinians who fled south to Khan Younis again see leaflets telling them to fly fly away:

Israel’s air force dropped hundreds of leaflets in some neighbourhoods, telling the residents of Khan Younus, in southern Gaza, to leave their homes.
Leaflets dropped by Israeli warplanes told residents in parts of eastern Khan Younis the following: “For your safety, you must evacuate your place of residence immediately and evacuate to one of the known shelters.”

There is a third choice- one that every decent person earth is demanding: Israel must withdraw, cease its attacks on Gaza and Palestinians in the other occupied territories and start to negotiate with its neighbours and the people that it has driven into exile.
What it is doing now in Gaza is murder.
What yiiu ar doing is providing excuses for the crime.

The UN is shackled by virtue of it’s structure and as such takes a back seat to hearts and minds.
I wrote some weeks ago about possible motivation behind what hamas had done, and said if their intent was to show the world what Israel and especially it’s political leadership is all about, then they have succeeded.
Israeli leadership are neither moral nor in sync with the modern world. Their hatred and greed blinds them even to the times they live in.
Would repeat 2 other items I shared early on, comparison to the Warsaw ghetto uprising and remembering old newsreel from the Nuremberg trials when a Jewish prosecutor addressing a Nazi defendant said unto him, “your soul runs of puss”.
But Benny and the freaks he’s collected to pursue the messianic cause, care not for such things, only for their ambitions and blood lust.
Not a good look for the Wokian Western leaders to pledge allegiance to Benny’s Israel btw. Besides the murder of women and children did they get it in writing from Benny and his mates that they will do no harm to any LGBTQ++ folk?

Again a very well put together article.
The only point Pepe makes that I would disagree with at the moment is what he sees as cowardice in the Arab world and Turkey. The Turkic muslim world though is a major problem as it is a major supplier if oil to Israel that runs through Turkey.
For the Gulf Arab world though they are greatly limited in what they can do. It is only under the Salman’s Saudi Arabia have made the switch from the US to the Russia China axis. This in hindsight, I believe began with the ruthless shakedown of the Bandar Bush crew.
Their applying to join BRICS came very shortly after Russia China jointly offered them protection from the US but I assume they must still tread very carefully.
The larger perspective that this is now a war against BRICS, although I had not fully considered that before, becomes clear although I had looked at control of Persian Gulf oil flows to damage China. But it now appears that rather than Just China as the US number one target, it is BRICS.
In the 2014 Rand Corp piece on war against China – basically a naval and air blockade forcing China to capitulate, cutoff of date was 2025 as from that point on China would be too strong militarily. With Russia partnering with China in joint air and naval patrols, the cutoff date has been reached much sooner. (not that the clowns had any hope of China capitulating to start with)
So now it appears rather than the pivot on China, we are looking at the pivot on BRICS. As a major part of BRICS, China is also the leading energy importer, and the Persian gulf area is basically the energy center of the world.
Another factor here. Due to Hinduva and its hatred of all muslims, this has effectively torn India away from BRICS, though it became clear it was a thorn within BRICS when it effectively blocked the Creation of a new trade currency or a mechanism against which national currencies could be valued other than the us dollar.
Thanks for linking that.

Yes. Everything will be ok after that.
The strikes on the hospital compound will stop.
They’ll allow the dead to be buried, easing the mountain of corpses piling up.
Fuel and supplies will allowed through the gates.
The IDF will leave Al Shifa and never return.

UN Peace keepers will form a protective cordon around the compound like they did at Srebrenica …

Everyone will sing khumbaya together.
Hmmmmm. Srebrenica …

JudeoNazi Assclown flummoxed when the usual Assclown “Holocaust denial” trick fails to silence the questions
Michael Tracey
@mtracey
This is amazing. David Friedman, former US ambassador to Israel under Trump, says “it’s been proven with certainty” that the Hamas Headquarters is under the Shifa Hospital. Asked for the source of this alleged proof, Friedman accuses @marclamonthill of doing Holocaust denial!

Curious that Turkey still has not done anything to at least show intent to defend these muslims from annihilation. Erdogan has the power to have military presence around Gaza within days. If he mobilizes the Turkish army, the other states will follow, including Iran. That show of force would probably be all that is required to halt the killing of innocent civilians and force an earnest move toward a two-state solution.

“Unless you believe that the Israelis are purposefully wanting to kill innocents (I will gladly conceive not even people here are so deranged and blinded by hatred to believe that)”
Nice trick you play here.
And no, people here are not that deranged.
But on the contrary is seems almost all Israëli’s are so deranged they believe all Palestinians are guilty and and are not innocents, thanks to the hatefull propaganda of their government they have choosen.
And not innocent means can be purposefully be killed in Israël?

“all that matters is the present and there aren’t any bombs falling in Tubingen. Prost!”
Actually that´s very much to the point seen especially from a Palestinian who might have just lost his family due to one of those 4000lb bombs which are not bombs but forceful arguments to fight antisemitism and strengthen the freedom of speech in Germany.
(but that you won´t understand unless you have written as many studies as Habermas & friends.)

Actually Israelis do believe it is ok to kill inmocents
Israeli rabbis recently released a statement stating that it is in fact ok to kill innocents because they will grow up to hate Israel for killing their family members.
The “logic” being “Because of our actions now they will grow up and become a problem later, so we should kill them now to save us having to do it later”

The obsession with fighting anti-semitism has resulted in the West supporting every genocidal act carried out by the fake semites occupying Palestine right now.
Narrow obsession with any cause results in the emergence of greater evils.
Why not, instead of fighting anti semitism, we simply give International Law the “force of law” and enforce it without fear or favour?
For that matter, aren’t local laws enough to fight anti semitism without being ‘enhanced’ specifically to protect an elite minority? Without being spun into a crusade to be obsessed over?

We live in an era of “new era” declarations. There is an extraordinary, nebulous sense of the whole international shebang at stake, reflected in recent writings of Pepe Escobar, Patrick Lawrence, and others. Seems to be catching: a weird wave of optimistic prognostication.

et al,
Wholly agree gentle folk – the only forum that exists imperfectly with all the representatives where they don’t kill each other is UN in New York.
Many representatives captivated by that city’s bling and graft.
The answer is straight forward a single state not called Israel, not a religious state, includes all the Palestinians, no apartheid , a truth and reconciliation process , a redressing of harms caused and to guarantee security – the transfer of the General Assembly to that unitary state. That should be the new world forum where the dying unipolar can exist with the emerging multipolar. All that is needed is the end of WW3 is the Yalta for the C21st – which is what I hope is happening in SanFrancisco.
These negotiations can’t be held in public , but the public needs to know they are taking place.
What else can Xi possibly be doing there with Biden?
They sure ain’t there for the conference.
Wishful thinking?

Maybe a wave of optimistic prognostication to allay and subdue or deny the fears incurred by realizing humanity as a whole has —in sum— failed? Just throwing the idea out there.
A century wasted with nothing learnt; who doesn’t need and crave optimism?
I sure do, so I am not blaming anyone in particular for that part.

Thanks for your reply. Don’t forget about SCO in which India also resides with Muslim Iran, Pakistan and the Central Asian Stans. I understood but questioned the logic of having Modi-led India that fancies itself a Big Player on the level with Russia, China and the Outlaw US Empire as a member of those groups. BRICS as you know began as RIC prior to Modi; so, it seems fair to conclude his political orientation is the major internal threat to both.
I saw this bit of good news in an RT report:
“The Kuomintang (KMT) and Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) formed their new alliance on Wednesday, agreeing to settle on a single presidential candidate rather than splitting the vote. They also agreed to form a joint government if they win the election.”
Lavrov was interviewed by RT which I’ll soon have up at my substack.
Big Demo in California prior to Biden meeting Xi, which won’t accomplish anything, as IMO the Neocon die is set.

Your reference to a Truth and reconciliation Commission is perhaps wishful thinking.
In the case of isreal only war crimes tribunals will do justice.
I think the apparent success of the TRC in South Africa was deceptive.
The South African situation was fortunate in that the atrocities carried out by the white government never approached the level we see in israhell today. A TRC was the right thing for that particular scenario.
A TRC in Palestine would be a travesty.

If Israel continues to play its Holocaust shtick, I don’t think it’s going to persuade too many people.
George Galloway, on his show Sunday, called what is being done to the Gazans a “holocaust”.
Hey, if there’s more than one holocaust, does that mean that we no longer need to capitalize the word?

AG re Habermas
“…The Hamas massacre with the declared intention of eliminating Jewish life in general…”
this, for example is a lie of the kind, familiar amongst those who have looked at the matter of anti-semitism, known as a blood libel.
The actions of the Palestinan resistance on October 7 were military responses to a siege- a classic armed sally to disrupt and break through the besieging force’s positions.
For Habermas to misrepresent them as either a massacre or an act in which a desire ‘to eliminate Jewish life’ is evinced is nothing more than sheer dishonesty wrapped up in verbiage designed to be mistaken for precise.
As to genocidal intent being attributed to Israel’s actions: that they are genocidal is not only obvious on the face of it but a claim made by their own Cabinet Ministers, Generals and Netanyahu himself (can the Amelekite speech mean anything but genocide?) and consistent with both the boasts of Israelis (Another Nakba) and decades of practice in which hundreds of thousands have been killed and wounded.
The entire spiel is so shabby and demagogic that it puts one in mind not of an intelligentsia chastened by its past into extraordinary sensitivity regarding the treatment of “Jews” but of that intelligentsia’s bowing down to Nazism and throwing its energies into complicity with its criminality.
Here these descendants of the men of the Thirties are bending over bavkwards to spare themselves the inconvenience of telling the plain unvarnished and obvious truth which is that what they define as “Israel’s right to exist” involves the denial of Palestine’s right to live and permission for it to continue to carry out a ‘textbook example’ of genocide.
If any of them had the sense of a field mouse they would have kept quiet, pulled the blinds down further and returned to the library stacks that they ought never to have left to pollute the forum.

AG re Habermas
“…The Hamas massacre with the declared intention of eliminating Jewish life in general…”
