I suspect that you have spent little time talking to ‘so called common people.’ They are after all the primary victims of the imperialists. And, if there were ever any doubts about it they are being dissipated daily as the socio-economic crises burgeon.

The whole funding issue over Ukraine may be a stalling tactic or a a feint. If the Russians think the funding will be stopped then they may hold back on a large offensive.
I think the Russians are smarter than that and they will keep up the operational tempo. Clearly the funding will not stop from an Anglo American perspective. I expect “pretty boy” Newsom to replace Feinstein with Barbra Lee and she is old school anti war. It will be another anti war voice in the Senate. On the other hand, he may reach down and find a black lady that supports Ukraine funding. We shall see after Feinstein’s funeral.
Clearly the cracks are being seen and it all may be a very real push by some to end the funding.

Hope Poland wises up and studies the Map and the Nato future . They have been deceived much by Britain, France, and the USA since WW1. They think of Poland as a Pawn. Poland needs to be Neutral .

… if there were ever any doubts about it they are being dissipated daily as the socio-economic crises burgeon.

Dunno about that, maybe in EU and parts of US but here in Australasia there appears to be, if not active support then widespread passive acceptance of the Yankee narrative – as in “war is bad” therefore “Putin Bad” … and if you suggest the story is not so simple then “… so you support the Russian invasion?!?!” which I hear as “… so you want to have Putler’s babies?!?!”.
“That feeling of superiority…” simplex@52 sees is real if mostly repressed in us hoi polloi, it’s not the wilful arrogance and hubris of their political elites, but there is a deeply witless, institutionalised sense of neocolonial racism that barely gets above the level of the simpleton’s distaste for the “dirty hun” or the “filthy yellow peril”.
Even amongst my fellow peers, well educated, well meaning and not your average yokel hoi polloi, all I’m hearing are the echoes of late 1800s neocolonial racism. It’s quite disheartening, but such as it’s ever been.

“The western elites are not afraid of Russia at all.”
They should be.
“The EU/USA poplulation would acept any sacrifice on thecroad to victory.”
LOL! Like the Slovakians?
The leaders are cowards, they only agree to “sacrifice” others: nazis, islamist terrorists, etc.
The populations are cowards too. They prize individualism, egoism, egocentrism and hedonism.

Military summary:
-strikes in at least 4 locations of Ukraine hit equipment repair facilities, industrial plants and vehicle depots
-AFU shifted its attack focus from Rabotyne and Novopokrovsk toward Kopani (western flank of salient)
-AFU lightly armed soldiers continue to try to attack toward Verbove along the trench, they are continuously bombarded and halted
-RU hit and destroyed two bridges in Velyka-Novosilka (north of Urozhaine) to disrupt AFU logistics, it may buy time a week or two
-possible offensive to retake Urozhaine and area around it
-RU possibly took some area south of Novomikhalovka
-bombing of Novomikhalovka continues, the aim here is to advance east to west along the cluster of villages eventually leading to AFU eastern flank compromised (and Ugledar)
-RU reserve army has been recently deployed near Lyman-Torske, maybe a Lyman offensive is in the cards
Dima also speculates the strikes on industries recently is a message to western MIC investors meeting in Kiev that all their facilities within Ukraine will be hit, and they will never recoup their losses.

Hey Simplex, shout out on your efforts at making sense of US/NATO’s insanity at taking down Russia using Ukraine as a proxy, join the club.
If I may offer a helpful suggestion, how about sticking to Dima, YouTube and MSM.
MoA may be a little too “com”plex for you.
Cheers

Several months ago, CNN, Zelensky, et al, were a buzz about Americans, Canadians, British, etc. volunteering to fight in Ukraine. What happened to them? CNN used to interview these volunteers and they suddenly stopped.

Postil’s Newsletter has the following from Alexander Dugin
“A Decisive Turn in the Special Military Operation
“Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, made a really important post on his Telegram channel, on September 25. Because of its importance, we will cite it in its entirety:
“Seven facts that Washington and Brussels have lost the “war of attrition” against Russia.
“Biden, Stoltenberg, and other Western officials, referring to the conflict in Ukraine, have started calling it a “war of attrition.” Huge amounts of money have been poured into militarizing the Kiev regime.
“What has this led to? Just the facts:
“1. Western arms and ammunition shortages.
In June this year, British Defense Secretary Wallace said that Western countries had run out of national stocks of weapons that could be supplied to Kiev. For his part, Biden admitted in July that the decision to give cluster munitions to Ukraine was made because conventional shells had been exhausted.
“2. Public confidence in politicians in Europe and the U.S. has been lost.
Ratings of distrust towards the heads of state of the EU and the USA are at a historical peak. 57 percent disapprove of Biden’s actions, 69 percent disapprove of Macron’s actions, 72 percent disapprove of Scholz’s actions. The majority of people in the US and European countries oppose supplying arms to Ukraine.
“3. The failure of the Kiev regime’s counteroffensive.
The Ukrainian military, backed by NATO, has suffered huge losses in equipment and manpower. The lack of any results has disappointed Western sponsors.
“4. Economic problems of Europe and the USA.
Eurozone economies are in recession. Germany is forced to cut social payments to poor families because of the costs of militarization of the Kiev regime. France has reduced the number of aid recipients; food packages are no longer distributed to those in need, and reimbursing of the purchase of medicines has been cut back. International agencies, expecting deterioration of the financial situation of the United States in the next three years, downgraded the long-term investment rating of the United States.
“5. Shortage of Ukrainian army personnel.
The Kiev regime is mobilizing men over 50 years old, as well as those with tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, HIV, and others. From October 1, 2023, women will also be enrolled in the military register. Nurses, doctors and pharmacists will be barred from leaving Ukraine.
“6. Ukraine is bankrupt.
Ukraine’s GDP in 2022 fell by 30.4 percent—the worst result in the country’s history. Without help from Washington and Brussels, Kiev cannot fulfill its obligations to its citizens. Ukraine has lost its financial autonomy.
“7. Demographic catastrophe in Ukraine.
More than 10.5 million people fled from Ukraine. Another 11.2 million residents of Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as Zaporizhya and Kherson regions made their choice to be with Russia. Since 2014, Ukraine has lost 53.7 percent of its population.
These 7 facts speak for themselves:
Either the Kiev regime capitulates on the terms of the Russian Federation
or Ukraine will cease to exist as a state…”

Ukraine will almost certainly be defeated in its conflict against Russia if Washington stops providing military aid, Verkhovna Rada MP Aleksey Goncharenko warned in a Telegram post on Sunday [1 Oct 2023].
The measures suggested by Goncharenko include a permanent Ukrainian delegation to the US Congress and Ukrainian MP trips to every US state to “convince” Americans of the need to continue backing Kiev, both through direct meetings and TV appearances.
The lawmaker also admitted that Kiev was “losing the information war” in the US and was thus losing support. “It is necessary to become even more actively involved in the information war,” he said. He added that it would be beneficial to speak to the US “in the language of money” and show them the clear “benefits of Ukraine’s victory.” Kiev should also pledge to join any military campaign that Washington launches, Goncharenko said. “We are ready to be allies of the USA in all military operations more strongly than Britain,” he stated.

If anyone here can post a public t.me link from this clown, please do.

As said before, Russia is sending a series of messages to NATO, both diplomatically and now kinetically. The statement last week that they thought the conflict would extend into 2025 was not meant to be a realistic prediction, but a clear statement of intent to continue the conflict, irrespective of increased Western involvement. The destruction, over the last few days, of numerous repair and storage facilities is a message that they know where and what to strike, due to enhanced ISR capabilities and good Humint, shutting down the idea that new weapons, or more of the same, are a viable strategy to pursue.
Any hope in NATO that they can freeze the conflict was dashed by this dual messaging and the Western politicians, having to face their electoral populations are hearing it loud and clear, even if the neo-cons are ignoring it. I think the most interesting constituency now though is the Ukrainian military leadership, who must now be under no illusions about the likely fate facing their country. Russia is getting stronger daily, Ukraine weaker and their ‘allies’ are eying the escape hatch. I would not be surprised if clandestine meetings are being held with the Russians and Ukrainian military discussing possible surrender terms, irrespective of political wishes. As I said previously, Zelensky’s demands for a perpetual offensive and taking three cities, when they struggle to capture a small village, probably increased the chances of an internal martial solution. The failure of the offensive means any talk of surrender cannot be tainted by, ‘stab in the back’ accusations, in fact the opposite case could be made that they are the real patriots, defending Ukraine from a government who has betrayed her best interests.

T.. Dima also speculates the strikes on industries recently is a message to western MIC investors meeting in Kiev that all their facilities within Ukraine will be hit, and they will never recoup their losses.

Acc.to to that, A message to the Nuland/Blinken Club is being awaiting today acc.to the further UAF strategy, based on current ‘facts’ of success on the “West-Front”.
Even all MoAs may know this link very well as a daily updated report as an “opinion” based on ‘facts’, I’d like to give here that URL of today :
Mr.D. (orig. Belarus) just have said today his suggestions:
https://rumble.com/v3m8xoy-the-fall-the-russians-sent-a-clear-message-to-western-investors.-military-s.html
So, even a newly stationed British/UK officers will now be “present” in UKR, they (US/UK) won’t hinder any further RF-Missile strikes against ammo-industries + ammo depots/warehouses.
The only they (new UK officers on ground in West-UKR and a safe-place secured by AV) could do is to start some StormShadows and Taurus or whatelse newly shipped missiles towards Russian mainland (Crimea) with a more precice targeting guidance. That’s all they (UK commmanders) may perform within next weeks.
That hurts RF, of course, but won’t be ‘ignored’ by RF-Mod strategies ..
So, let’s hope – but the real war continues to go on in “The Black Sea” (sorry repeating that) ..

Cleverley of the UK government wants to send British troops to Ukraine and British warships to the Black Sea.
What a splendid idea!
What could possibly go wrong?
Oh, what a lovely war!
Britain’s fearsome military machine and its 40 serviceable tanks would soon make short work of Johnny Russian, and show Putin what’s what.
Yes, By Jingo, they don’t like it up ’em!
After all, we’ve fought in the Crimea before, and it all went really well that time.
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them,
Volleyed and thundered.

Will RF take odessa?

Strategically it is essential for Russia’s long term national security. So yes. The entire Oblast will be taken in due course, and therefore the people of Transdniestria can also be somewhat protected too.

Has anyone news about Gonzalo Lira…. in jail, dead or alive? seems to be out of the news now.
His comments were interesting and worth hearing, do not know how he managed to say what he said living in Ukraine, which would make him suspect I suppose, however I found his comments interesting and following the main themes which seemed important.
do hope he has survived.

‘Either the Kiev regime capitulates on the terms of the Russian Federation
or Ukraine will cease to exist as a state…”
Part of the Ukrainian military oath
‘ defend the Ukrainian state and steadfastly guard its freedom and independence.”
How many commanders are beginning to realise that the failure of the offensive, and the inevitable Russian territorial exploitation that follows, means that to stay true to their oath they must remove Zelensky, who last week, made his intentions about continuing the slaughter clear.
Possible signs of discontent manifesting
1. Increased strikes by RF against previously un-targeted installations due to Humint
2. Increased numbers of soldiers surrendering or refusing to fight
3. Increased leaking of key metrics, suggesting continued resistance will be catastrophic for Ukraine (casualty figures, numbers of Russian drones/missiles hitting etc)
4. Increased reporting of events truthfully, challenging the official version.
5. Increased attacks against foreign personnel seen prolonging the conflict
6. Increased stories in the West about Russian plans to assassinate Zelensky
7. Increased Ukrainian Gvt stories about ‘traitors’ plotting against the state or dire predictions if the West stops its support.

That was my thought this very morning (albeit based on mucho of previous readings). Poland’s politicians are naive, and secondly susceptible to the grandeur of some Tsar, Napoleon or other Statue of Liberty. Awe . . . and genuflect . . . Poland even in their Nationsl Anthem trumpets about their subservience. Some “Bonaparte” show them of how to fight . . . pathetic. However, the “communist” governments of the past noticed this and wanted to change the Anthem. They were less subservient to Soviet Russia than the Embassy-monitored “leaders” of today. You know which Embassy, I presume?

So let’s wait, how “long” delay of months “it” will have being taken, the “Odessa” areas – either by a Canadian-NAZIs or US/UK or by a newly RF-Power games having played ..?

A lot of private jets from major Nato countries flew to Lublin in Poland. They are holding an emergency meeting, probably about Ukraine. Media hasn’t been notified.

It’s gone all quiet today. There is hardly any activity being reported.
Smells like an armstice.
Let’s see what the surrender terms look like. And if they are accepted.

War in Ukraine is the most important project of the collective West, ever.
The western elites are not afraid of Russia at all.
The EU/USA poplulation would acept any sacrifice on thecroad to victory.

Yes, but by probably co-signing a surrender document that cedes the city and surrounding territory to Russia. As for your puerile reasoning ‘lol’ you need to read up on Soviet/Russian offensive doctrine to understand what’s brewing. Spoiler warning: Russians are determinists, preparation and planning are the key to success, ideally risk must be reduced as far as possible before any operation is carried out as combat itself is itself an inherently risky enterprise. This approach has been historically misinterpreted by many as a sluggishness, inherent in the Slavic consciousness, and inability to adapt, a view only challenged in the later part of the 20th Century, by revisiting key campaigns of the Red Army.

The stat’s about covid were interesting and translated through to general daily propaganda targets. The trumpeters as they were said hillbilly rednecks and the highly educated on top incomes were the demographics refusing to be vaccinated. So as an Australian myself media gives dozens per day across all banners that China Russia bad. Even Indonesia I don’t think I’ve ever seen a positive story. My wife is Indonesian we know the realities that are spun . But it suits the sky news reader echo chamber. Myself I post a bit on domestic media in the few articles that ever have comments section open. To only be immediately down voted and called a CCP BOT for ever pushing against the empire narrative. Social media purged all dissenters over the last few years , I’m not sure there are any left. Even Aussie Cossack is in hiding in RF embassy as a Assange type for his citizen journalism. Avi Yemeni the Zionist similar to upstart Cossack is left to freely roam as long as his alt journalism instigates race hate it seems.

I agree that Poland should mark its current borders in red and state that this is Poland, and it is not going to change. “We hate Russians and Ukrainians equally!!”
But, it seems like Poland has often been ready to try to grab a joint of meat they could grab while the jackals were feasting.

“Russia supposedly has tens of billions of dollars worth of Indian rupees stuck in its bank account in India from oil sales priced in rupees because Russia is not allowed to convert the rupees into dollars or euros.”
Use them to buy microchips and microchip making machines from India. This can be direct purchases (banned by USA but bribery can buy anything) or through Russian tourists.

The $24B for Ukraine that McCarthy is working though the backdoor finances the Ukie government for exactly one quarter. The money for conducting war is in another tranche or various other US budgets. Biden alone has ways of throwing money around.
So, another quarter, another $24B. We cannot let the ukie govies starve now, can we?

Operation Rope A Dope will continue as the west spends money and eventually loses interest in Project Ukraine. Time is Russia’s friend. I don’t see a big Russian Offensive as long as Ukraine continues to rush head long into kill zones. With good planning Russia could have a Fall of Saigon moment around the November 24 US elections.

Sumy & Chernihiv will be taken long before Odessa is considered – they are far more strategic – and close – to Moscow.
Given all the current talk, it looks like that will be the next major Russian move – which I predict will take place in July 2024 – yes, a full 9 months away – the Russians certainly seem in no hurry to make territorial gains.

Russia is building up more forces in kupiansk again, after ukraine reinforced there to stop russia advances.
Isw took back some counter offensive gains from ukraine after they were caught taking a trench for a second time, there’s also signs the robotyne pocket is being attacked from the flanks as well.
Ukraine is losing planes a lot lately as well, and himar attacks are getting better coordinated.
Wagnerites are coming back as well so signs point to a surprise russian offensive, it might even help ukraine get money as well if they threaten to fall apart. So maybe ukraine will step back a bit to play it up.
Countries bordering ukraine are turning against ukraine a little. Poland for sure, Slovakia elected Fico, and hungaet of course
Romania has a greater Romanian politician gaining ground(joining moldavia). This would change things a lot.

WTF?!?
A HUUUUUUUGE opportunity missed by Russia.

At an event in Kyiv which hosted 250 “defense” industry corporations from 30 different countries on Friday, President Zelensky gave a speech urging war profiteers to open factories in Ukraine to cut out the middleman of securing and delivering so many weapons from abroad. This is an investment that the arms industry would ostensibly have plenty of time to set up, given that western officials are now going out of their way to communicate to the public that this war will stretch on for many more years to come.
Zelensky’s speech twice made use of the phrase “defense-industrial complex”, and used the phrase “arsenal of the free world” no fewer than three times.
“Ukraine is developing a special economic regime for the defense-industrial complex,” Zelensky said. “To give all the opportunities to realize their potential to every company that works for the sake of defense — in Ukraine and with Ukraine or that wants to come to Ukraine.”
“Right now, the most powerful military-industrial complexes are being determined, as are their priorities and the global standard of defense. All of this is being determined in Ukraine,” Zelensky tweeted with photos from the event.

What a prime target – gone begging.
If Russia really wanted to end this war – these are the folks to eliminate.
Eliminate them in Kiev – and they won’t be coming back – ever.
These people are businessmen in suits – not soldiers – they are not in this game to take risks – but only to make money.
Imagine the PR value of eliminating hundreds of greedy defence industry contractors in Kiev.
That’s a priceless PR victory – and they are a very very very legitimate military target.
There must surely have been folks in the Kremlin advocating to strike this gathering of fat cats with a volley of Kalibers.
Why weren’t they sent to do their business?!?!?

A lot of people were sceptical on SMO and no mad dasj to rush and take territory, but given following evidence:
-drafting <18 and >70 y.o. and women
-9/10 mobilized in Poltava region KIA or MIA (either non counted KIA or surrendered)
-population well over 20 million in Regime’s area
-80% of all mobilized snatched from street or increasingly from their homes and private property
Are clues on the viability, or lack of, sustaining the war. Russia took the hubris and arrogance of the nazis and Nato and used it as a weapon to allow them to strangle themselves.
Re. the meeting of 250 MIC ”investors” in Kiev agree, if there is intel, those are the sort of things that should be hit. Really nothing to lose.

Ukrainian channel Legitimny:
So, what everyone predicted for a long time happened. China is actually blocking large supplies of UAVs and components, even through third countries.
At first, everyone in Ukraine was happy because they thought that this would hit the Russians, but it hit Ukraine more, where there are no production lines of its own, and all the components were bought in China, and assembly only took place in Ukraine.
The Russian Federation already has almost all of its own UAVs and has established a component production line. But it is also easier for Russians to buy in small quantities and bring them in a “backpack”, since geographically they are neighbors.
We gave inside information about this back in the spring, pointing out where in the UAV case Bankovaya “loses” to the Kremlin.
This is a big problem given Washington’s cuts to Ukraine’s funding. Zelensky has only now begun to try to establish military production in Ukraine. Until this moment, they simply bought everything with credit money, hoping that it would always be like this.
A mistake that can be costly…
@Slavyangrad

Imports for drone components from China drying up. But Russia already set up the production lines and can still get components through ”luggage” due to geographical proximity much easier than Ukraine. Ukraine relied on getting everything from Alibaba with USD credit lines.
Don’t think it’s a mystery who relatively speaking wins from this. Even Nato countries use Chinese sub assemblies to manufacture drones.

This is really rock bottom…
🇬🇧🇺🇦 Ukraine must actively recruit more young people to the front to prevent the pace of the counter-offensive from slowing down – former British Defense Minister Ben Wallace.
“The average age of Ukrainian soldiers at the front is more than 40 years. I understand zelensky’s desire to preserve youth for the future, but the time has come to reconsider the scale of Ukrainian mobilization,” the politician noted in The Telegraph newspaper.

Apparently Borrell is in Kiev today, the Lublin confab must have been a consensus planning session.

Neither of your links purporting to provide a statement from the Russian MoD are official.

Why weren’t they sent to do their business?!?!?

1. Never interrupt your enemy when they’re making a mistake. This is Boris Johnson ‘garden bridge’ level folly.
2. If BAE etc make factories in the remains of Ukraine, how easy would it be to destroy those facilities?
3. If they did make those facilities in the remains of Ukraine which engineers would work there? There’s a labour shortage in the west and a people shortage in the remains of Ukraine.
4. Even I knew about this meeting before Friday, as if NATO was begging for it to be targeted. The money scam seems to be running out. Why oblige them by taking out the western money launderers?
5. The Kiev junta probably had a children’s play event in the same conference building.
6. The fact that you are disappointed that there were no strike makes 4 and 5 more likely. Frustrating isn’t it that the Russian MoD doesn’t do what NATO says, expects or plans for?
7. The battlefield situation gets more favourable for Russia by the day.
8. The Nazi PR disaster in Canada has lost most western public support for the remains of Ukraine.
9. The western politicians are beginning to pull the plug on this debacle of their own making.
10. I’ll let Arch Bungle give you another 100 reasons why doing what seems to be obvious knee jerk reaction is often not the most sensible strategy.

@ Julian
Agree. Should have attacked their meeting place in Kyiv. A legitimate target.

“Russia supposedly has tens of billions of dollars worth of Indian rupees stuck in its bank account in India from oil sales priced in rupees because Russia is not allowed to convert the rupees into dollars or euros“
I would not assume the Indians would necessarily accept their own currency for exports, or perhaps would demand a large premium. In such economies the local currency can work a bit like concentration camp scrip. I would be happy to be corrected in the particular case of India if anyone know for sure. I bet exports are quoted in Euros or US dollars.

On Sunday Morawiecki, .. suggesting Germany would be ready to abandon Kiev in favor of a deal with Moscow at any time.
“I warn you, the Germans will always want to reach an understanding with the Russians over the heads of Central European states,” Norawiecki stated,
<=I suggested at the beginning of the SMO and several times since, that Germany will likely become a vassal state of Russia, it has few alternatives.

Do you think that Russia is a stupid country? They export oil to India in Rupies and then pay import from India in usd or EUR? Russia can simply say that oil has to be payed in usd/eur/rub or wathever.
I think that this is possibly a madeup western propaganda story to present brics+ idea to trade in non usd currency is unfeasable.

Just to note to those who might be interested on the current NATO ISR – I counted 8 NATO ISR AWACS stretching all the way around the Western borders of Kaliningrad, Ukraine, Belorussia, the Black Sea Romanian coast.
Also, as it seems, a very unusual and possible jamming of all signals in the south of Crimea civilian air traffic corridor. East of Sicily and between Italian and Greek coast, a mix of Italian and the USA ISR planes of all sorts and platforms. I would say all in total over the Eastern Europe more than 15 ISR assets or more possibly hidden.
I have no clue what is going on, but I have not seen such intense activity ever.
Would NATO dare to strike RF in Ukraine from the air?
