Biden Forced To Call Off His Plans For Ethnic Cleansing Of Gaza

The U.S. government under Joe Biden had developed plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza by moving all of its 2.3 million people into Egypt:

Amazing: President Biden is working on a plan with other countries that would allow civilians to safely leave Gaza and cross the border into Egypt. This is great news. President Biden is making sure that innocent people don’t die due to the actions of Hamas. That’s leadership.

The NSC spokesperson had confirmed that plan:

The US is in active talks with Israel and Egypt to establish "safe passage" corridors for civilians in Gaza to flee ongoing Israeli airstrikes, the White House said Wednesday amid an expected ground offensive in the besieged enclave.

"We're actively discussing this with our Israeli and our Egyptian counterparts, we support safe passions for civilians. Civilians are not to blame for what Hamas has done. They didn't do anything wrong," National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters at the White House.

"We are actively working on this with Egyptian and our Israeli counterparts. Civilians are protected under the laws of armed conflict, and they should be given every opportunity to avoid the fighting," he added.

This all was based on a plan originally developed by radical Zionist within the government of Israel:

Israeli culture magazine Mekovit published on 28 October a leaked document issued by Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence recommending the occupation of Gaza and total transfer of its 2.3 million inhabitants to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

The document, issued on 13 October, identifies a plan to transfer all residents of the Gaza Strip to North Sinai as the preferred option among three alternatives regarding the future of the Palestinians in Gaza at the end of the current war between Israel and the Hamas-led Palestinian resistance.

The document recommends that Israel evacuate the Gazan population to Sinai during the war, establish tent cities and new cities in northern Sinai to accommodate the deported population, and then create a closed security zone stretching several kilometers inside Egypt. The deported Palestinians would not be allowed to return to any areas near the Israeli border.

Egypt of course rejected any such plans. As I had explained:

Israel, with the help of the U.S., has tried to push the population of Gaza into Egypt. From Egypt's standpoint that would be a humanitarian solution, at least as long as others pay for it. But it would cause a serious strategic problem. Resistance by Hamas and others against Israel would continue indefinitely, but Egypt would be held responsible for it. It can not and will not take on that burden.

Despite that logic the White House continued to proceed with its plan. Its request to Congress to finance the wars in the Ukraine and Gaza with up to $106 billion included these lines (pg 40):

These resources would support displaced and conflict-affected civilians, including Palestinian refugees in Gaza and the West Bank, and to address potential needs of Gazans fleeing to neighboring countries. This would include food and non- food items, healthcare, emergency shelter support, water and sanitation assistance, and emergency protection. This would also include potential critical humanitarian infrastructure costs needed for the refugee population to provide access to basic, life-sustaining support. This crisis could well result in displacement across border and higher regional humanitarian needs, and funding may be used to meet evolving programming requirements outside of Gaza.

Russia had called out the plan for the nonsense it is:

Backed by Russia the Egyptian resistance against the plan continued. A phone call held yesterday finally buried it:

The call touched upon the importance of preventing the expansion of the conflict into the region, added Fahmy.

During the call, El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s firm rejection of policies that collectively punish and displace the Palestinian people. It’s easy to miss the fact that what Israel is doing in Gaza is only part of the story of what is going on.
In the West Bank the raids and the beatings, the detention and the killings are at a frenetic pace- while the world’s eyes are on Gaza Jenin and Ramallah are being hammered. The settlers do what they want- a mixture of sadism and greed as they terrorise the people living on the land they can’t wait to get their hands on, buy and sell. They feel that like homesteaders in Nebraska they are in on the ground floor of the business opportunity of all time.
And the Police and the military just watch, letting the settlers do as they want but ready to kill any Palestinians labourinbg under the illusion that they too have the ‘right to defend” themselves, their wives and their children.
And then there is the part of Palestine occupied since 1948 where both decent settlers and brave Palestinians continue to attempt to bear witness as the Nazi scourge settles over the land.

I’m probably relatively young for a regular commentator at this site and it likely bears out in some of my impetuousness or at least inasmuch as I bristle more than others. But the latter is in no small part due to the troubling subject matter most of us come here to learn about from b and one another and about which to chit chat.
In any case, I hate to sound like I’m patting myself on the back, but it was a minority opinion back then – and I foresaw something like the past 3 years unfolding the moment Bush and Cheney started beating the war drums to invade Iraq, partially predicated on the “7 countries in 7 years” plan and neo-domino theory finding favor among the (at the time right wing) Republicans and Democrats like Joe Biden and the Clinton camp. I wasn’t sure when it would happen, but I knew that the American “new Pearl Harbor” moment and the ensuing militaristic, jingoistic, with-us-or-against-us embracing of the worst human tendencies masked as just, fair and in accordance with “the rules based order” – and of course the Orwellian “new” way “we” were lying to ourselves would end much more badly than a lot of my peers or those (still somewhat) sane voices in certain media did. I’m guessing some of you saw it starting to happen much earlier: Vietnam, Reagan, Clinton, Kosovo.
And here we are at another “inflection point” – which IMO would probably never have happened if not for the US and its European lapdogs’ utterly foolish, self-aggrandizing and counterproductive (to the 99% of us anyway) approach to the aftermath of 9/11, itself likely another false-ish flag scenario. And of course most of us who have taken the “red pill” by now know that Israel and Saudi Arabia played much larger roles in that event than we’re allowed to talk about in “polite company.”
To which the Tl/Dr version is: This is all the fault of the USSA. Period. And when the world truly becomes multi-polar, it’s going to get ugly back at home in a different type of blowback than we’re accustomed to thinking about. I’m not even talking about the economic disaster – which could play out any number of terrible ways and either quickly or gradually – but the social order. In the time since 9/11/2001, the US government has built intractable systems of control. Information control, population control through austerity and the rollback of the welfare state – having replaced it with a system of usurious onerous debt management, speech control, carceral control, and if needed, domestic military control. Granted, the woke modern military likely doesn’t frighten some people, but they’ve got “AI” killer robots in development. “Robo-Cop” squared. Few people foresaw the extent to which the Wall Street-DC-Silicon Valley complex would intermesh with the MIC and Think Tanks. I certainly didn’t. But the people of Western countries have been disempowered more in the past 20 years than at any previous point in history, leaving aside the Japanese internment camps and prior settler-colonial atrocities that Israel mirrors before us on fast-forward.
TS is going to HTF sooner rather than later and indeed is already doing so for the Palestinians.

To those who say that the Arab street, the global south and China and Russia are doing nothing: All the aforementioned are conferring regularly if not daily. China, too, has its warships in the area and has enclosed Iran under its umbrella of missile support. Western/Israeli politicos have little understanding of the military importance of inhibition and discipline. Israel and the Ukraine model disinhibited, impulsive, poorly considered actions, all leading to incredible levels of injury and death to their own militias as well as extraordinary levels of civilian deaths. Lying is endemic to their communication. In contrast, Sisi has been in communication with Russia, China, bin Salmon and probably very, very quietly with Hamas. With this level of support, the US/UK/EU/Israel can be expected to have no sway and they are recognizing this. If the aforementioned go after Iran, it will be the end of the western hegemon – these countries make war like Israel – on the poor, downtrodden, corrupt – countries that have no real means to defend themselves. The rest of the world is well aware, and with ostensibly 30,000 Palestinians dead, missing or wounded, have all tightly aligned against the hegemon+.

Israel has, in 1967, inherited from Egypt a population bomb – amounting today to 2.3 million individuals, confined to 365 square kilometers, which is roughly 6,300 inhabitants per square kilometer. Such a city cannot have a normal economy, it must be dependent on the surrounding area for food, water, electricity, fuel, and – if it is not Singapur – will also be in chronic need for funds.
The “solution” has, for 56 years, been a quasi-prison status, with Israel in total control of who and what goes in and out, and thereby maintaining a sense of its own security. Now, as a result of October 7th, this “solution” has ceased to exist. The feeling of security is gone, people in Israel are applying for firearm licenses in numbers never seen before. Being neighbors with Gaza has become like having a nest of hornets right on your front porch.
Therefore, the “ethnic cleansing into Egypt” approach comes as no surprise to anyone who has studied the situation. For a country of 9,291,000 residents, an addition of 2.3 millions is a terribly large bite – it is like if a country the size of Germany would have to accommodate over 20 million new citizens. Israel’s population density would rise from 440 inhab./square kilometer to 550. Both values are absolutely toxic and exceed every big country in Europe. They create the aggressivity and longing for more “Lebensraum” that is typical for today’s Israel.
What I’m saying is, that the war of 1967 has created for Israel a population problem, which has always been managed somehow, but never solved. And yes, there is no relief possible without partial emigration.
I understand that Egypt does not want 2.3 million new people, with an unknown number of jihadists among them. And even if the Sinai plans were implemented, they would still ignore the right of these people to their stolen or destroyed properties, and their right to stay in the environment where they spent all of their lives, instead of being relocated to the desert.
Still, we have to recognize that whichever solution one proposes, it must contain a fair amount of relocation, with the help of certain recipient countries. I know of one country, with very fertile soil, which is pretty much depopulated as a result of war…
