As an add-on to my previous post, Turkey is the one who controls access to the Black Sea, in accordance with the Montreux convention. When the war in Ukraine started, they shut access down for war ships – unless they were returning to their home ports. Russian war ships were allowed to enter the Black Sea, but were no longer allowed to leave. Most NATO states couldn’t even get their ships in any longer. US and UK were really upset about their NATO ally Turkey. Of course, we should consider the censorship is at least on the level of WW2 Germany, which can keep it in the high end. You raise good points. It is possible he has a conscience. I was at Michigan mid-1990s. It was a 2nd-tier Zionist-focused Russian studies-political science hive. I saw the destruction of the USSR from Western geniuses in real time. People paid in door screws, defaulted bonds, etc. Posted by: Talleyrand | Sep 24 2023 22:02 utc | 331 John Brewster, I’ve also wondered about Sachs’s sincerity. You raise good points.
