Map from 1641 year, the areas where the war is now going on.
!(oldest known map).
http://przemysl.wkki.pl/przemysl/dzieje/rus/Kartografia/7.html
If anyone would like to read a publication about the reliable history of these areas and the name Ukraine itself (the map is an illustration to the article):
The text is in Polish, but the translator can handle it quite well.
http://przemysl.wkki.pl/przemysl/dzieje/rus/ukraina.html
For very persistent readers, a whole collection of various publications related to the history and beyond of these lands:
http://przemysl.wkki.pl/przemysl/dzieje/rus/rus.html
and home page:
http://przemysl.wkki.pl/
(Przemysl – 49.78370, 22.77196 is a city in south-eastern Poland, right on the border with Ukraine.)
By the way, I have great respect for the author of this study for his reliability, precision and enormous amount of work. And thanks for creating this invaluable collection. It is an incredible mine of knowledge about the history of these lands.

Exactly, there is no need to conduct some deep analysis of the West as it’s a deeply corrupt place with no grounding other than the black hole of corruption which has no bottom, it’s an endless void. I have listened to Mercouris a lot of hours and he gets close to recognizing the void at times but then quickly pulls away at the horror of it all. I personally like Mercouris and wish he would simply accept the void that is the Western institutions, others such as Garland Nixon can easily spot it and accept it and even live in it with no problem , they even laugh at it. I believe Alex K. has also accepted the West as a force for good is gone also but still working through the emotions.
The bread and circuses are also not working as they used to internally in the USA, even the podcast world with “alternative” thinkers on the right are now almost begging people not to disengage and to stay engaged and be “optimistic”.
The real players to watch are Russia/China and some of the BRICs players as they are actually now in the drivers seat.

Commenters here say that Russia is this great big military power that is just taking its time and will overwhelm Ukraine all by itself.
Yet, Russia goes begging hat-in-hand to psychopaths like Kim Jong Il, whatever Iranian psycho is in power, and China for weapons.
So which is it, hypocrites?
Nice alliance you have put together Vlad, I am sure it will all work out in your favor.

What about the US playing games in the Black Sea? l am sure there is some plan hidden in this, not just provocation.
something may be underway, as with the exercises near the destroyed pipeline …something bad I fear,

It’s probably a good thing I’m not Putin because my answer would’ve been “we’ll ‘freeze’ this when the Ukrainian people round of Zelensky and his Nazi henchmen and behead them in a public square…”

No they don’t, you little shit. Kim Jong Un is visiting Russia. It’s long overdue to bring them in from the Great American Cold. China did not dare. Now, finally Russia does.

Ukriane? Biggest military in Europe?
Is that why it BEGS countries in the west for arms, money and men? Well, if it really WAS the biggest army in Europe its been completely decimated. Hence the reason for its constant begging.

When I was a kid I’d hand my head off the back of the bed and picture the room upside down, ever play mind games, flip thing around for intellectual fun, a new perspective on an old scene? Maybe you are in the land of the psychopaths?
Just kidding! I wouldn’t do that to you.

Considering the advantage they had in Feb 2022 the kiev regime higher up s have made a disaster out of their various “offensives”. Bad leadership, making decisions based on PR considerations rather than practical battle logic.
The present kiev leadership has been a DISASTER for the poor people of Ukraine. Theyve led the country into a war which theyre losing, destroyed their economy and lost millions of people who have moved away or been killed in the war.
The ONLY way this can be redressed is the arrest of these madmen who have brought hell on Ukraine. I fear these people will face a brutal end!

There was a TG after photo I saw by RF which did show quite big damage. But (a) it wasnt a sinking, (b) it’s always cheaper to repair 10-20% of a ship than to build a whole new one!

Future of Ukrainian demographics

You see once 95% of Ukraine’s men are gone you will be left only eith the most superior specimen. They will dedicate their lives to mate with Ukrainian women, the money will be provided by NATO, to create a much more purified, powerful master race. Where all men are as vigorous as reznikov, refined and smart-looking like zelensky and streamlined like budanov.
Posted by: T6 | Sep 15 2023 18:08 utc | 41

When 95% of Ukraine’s men are gone, the only women left in Ukraine will be Russian-speaking babushkas. All Ukrainian women of child-bearing age will be mating with West European men. Or, if the Yuro-virus has spared their brain, they will be in Russia or Novorossiya mating with Russian men.

And by the way the Ukraine never had an “advantage” beyond chancing that Moscow wouldn’t bomb them back into the stone age.
I’ll repeat the message which I suspect got me banned from this site half a year ago. There must be no peace while there is stone upon stone left of the Nazi stronghold of Lviv. No, you don’t get to sell meatloaves depicting the murdered Russian civilians at the Kerch bridge to the snickering asshole citizens of your town with no consequences.

I’ve read that Heathrow story before, Acco!
And you realise, of course you do, that the irony of the “blackening” of present day United Kingdom is simply the real life karma of the once colonial “Great” Britain! All the colonials got it — France especially. And then the fkn EU decided to “share the migration around”, thusways crippling those countries who weren’t colonials. Faaarking stoopid.
It’s not dissimilar social karma to present day America for its African slave trade. Their treatment of poor blacks for 300 years now sadly floods their city streets.
I’m a great believer in the karma of nations. And what we now see are the chickens coming home to roost for xx decades of American arogant hegemony. Karma, like metal rust and wood rot and cancer, sneaks up on you until a final sudden house collapse or illness. It’s unstoppable. Hence I do have hope for The Great New Reset.

But it has always been the politics of the US to create aggressive posture. To trying to induce fear to dominate the other for economic or whatever reason. They could have well wiped out RU and CHINA in the early 1950s with probably zero KIA of their own. They didn´t do it because eventually to not kill your adversary is better for business.
The USA threatened every smaller country with WMD, for years, in a typical mafia manner and very publicly. The USA had various lawmakers asking for bombing all “communists and reds” on TV ever since the end of the WWII, and even more during Korea’s war.
Soviets had half of a European continent and a huge motivated army and they could kick Americans out of Europe easily. Soviets also knew that the USA cannot produce so much bombs to stop them. I mean this is happening in early 1946.
In 1948 Soviets had a bomb, too.
In early 50s Soviets had somewhat working ICBM system. It triggered the arms race.
And it was in fact simply unnecessary. US power was so overwhelming after WWII.
In Pacific, surely.
In Europe, well, Red Army was huge in comparison to all the Allied Forces that were deployed there.
And that ‘overwhelming exceptionalism’ lasted only for a 3-4 years when they realized that they can be bombed too.
Many reasons there on why no nuke options against “the reds” prevailed, and it is indeed connected to the mutual business, sadly true, but primarily it was the clash of ideologies that didn’t fit well in a post war minds, due to constant Western demonizing “commies”, resulting in the chemistry of joint victory against Nazism that fizzled very quickly.
Now it is lot worse then 80 years ago.
We are probably not really aware how bad things are.

I too recoil from any “believing” of the MSM but, otoh, it is enlightening to read what shit the sleepy suckers are being fed. It’s just mind blowing the spin and falsity so many artuckes peddle. And agreed, the chatty-type pundits you mention do tend to swallow MSM as real and then spend time analysing the smoke and mirrors. It’s a crazy pastime, imo. But it makes for views, likes, subs, and $$$.

Looks like EU disintegration is in progress:
Posted by: Norwegian | Sep 15 2023 21:17 utc | 81
######
Hmmm, perhaps a little early to call it disintegration! But the squabbles are increasing … which is a good early sign. 🙂
I say, Long Time Coming. Think about the actual dismemberment of a bureaucratic behemoth like the EU. How many collective and sovereign laws and parliamentary agreements hold it together? They would all need multiple parliamentary undoing to be annulled.
Likewise, disbanding NATO would take literally decades of political argy bargy to complete, even after a memo of intention. Ha! And that would mean the US swallowing a hedgehog of polital humiliation. Credible anti-NATO geopolitical analysts like Ritter and McGregor constantly refer to “the end of NATO”. As much as I’d like to see it tomorrow, I wonder which decade they are talking about — 2030? 2050? The UNSC will need complete rewriting. The US has stitched all that shit into a tight web of self-security over 78 years. How long to undo???
And then we come to “US disintegration”. Even with a massive financial crash, MIC bankrupcy, social cancer, even a Trumpian political insurrection, it’s actually 320M people who live lives and work jobs in an (average) high standard of living. Imho, they are a long way from a dystopian tomorrow.
And btw, it is NOT, repeat NOT, Putin’s desire or methods to crash America. Weaken it, yes. Lessen its hegemony into multipolarity, yes. He simply wants to boost the weaker states into a CO-OPERATIVE world rather than a dominated one.
So I don’t see a full American crash, or an EU disintegration, or a NATO dissolution any time soon.

What is the reason for yesterday’s attack on Russian Navy ships?
Today, the ship “Puma” under the flag of the Cayman Islands left the port of Odessa and headed along the already tested route along the coast of Ukraine to the south. The ship is still en route and is heading along Romania, probably towards the Bosphorus . Before the Romanian attack, he was accompanied by two naval guard boats of the Ukrainian Navy, MiG-29 fighters patrolled the airspace over the Odessa region , and American P-8As were working in shifts over Romania (one of them was mistakenly mistaken for a B-52N) .
📌In the context of the vessel’s exit, a more complete picture emerges with yesterday’s massive attack on a detachment of warships (OBK) of the Black Sea Fleet consisting of “Vasily Bykov” and “Sergei Kotov” – a total of 14 unmanned boats were destroyed (excluding attacks on “Samum” and “Askold” ) .
One of them, as we already wrote, hit the Bykov, which caused the ship to be damaged, but continued to move under its own power to Sevastopol , and the Sergey Kotov operates nearby. That is, as soon as the Russian OBK left the patrol area, the ship left Odessa .
📌Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces not only opened a route for the movement of the bulk carrier, but also demonstrated that, if necessary, they can distract Russian ships by rolling in BeKs. Of course, the attack was repulsed, but in this way in Kiev they are trying to prove the functionality of this corridor without the participation of Russia.

🇷🇺During his visit to Russia, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited an aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Together with his delegation, he visited the assembly shop of fifth-generation fighters Su-57 and Sukhoi SuperJet-100 passenger airliners, and also observed a demonstration flight of the Su-35S.
In this context, it is interesting what products from the plant could theoretically be of interest to the DPRK. Its aircraft fleet has long been outdated – the most modern in it are a dozen or two MiG-29s of the first modifications, so the country’s Air Force clearly has a demand for updating.
The delivery of the Su-35S, of course, is very difficult to believe, but the dispatch of a flight of Su-27s in storage in this case it appears to be a much more realistic scenario. Also, the products of RSK Mig can be transferred to the North Koreans – the MiG-29s put into reserve after a major overhaul.
📌Naturally, the DPRK will not be able to pay for all these potential purchases in foreign currency due to its unenviable economic situation. However, Pyongyang may well settle the deal by barter: the Russian Armed Forces will now not be in need of ammunition for cannon and rocket artillery, of which the DPRK has quite a few, as well as other specific products.
In the civilian sphere, Russia can unofficially take part in measures to modernize the North Korean energy system, which acts as the “Achilles heel” of the country’s economy. Previously, Moscow did not take this step due to the sanctions regime against the DPRK, but over the course of a year and a half, the situation has changed significantly.
(all unconfirmed)
Whether these issues were discussed at the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, time will tell: if some fundamental decisions were made, then the result can be seen soon.

This is obviously true, but baffles me. Until 10-20 years ago, the left often seemed a bit loopy, but rarely cruel and thirsty for human misery. What the hell happened?

Great question! A serious issue.
My opinion is that both so-called “left” and “right” are ideologies, but people remain people. We are each on a bell curve of beliefs. I may be a bit left in some views, a bit right in others. These are arbitrary divisions. Only fanatic extreme loonies are fully one way, left or right, eg hippies vs McCarthyism, or miners vs Thatcherism, or Trumpists vs HRC. T’was ever thus.
Another factor is age and maturation. Youth rebel against conservative upbringings, but then go more conservative with age. I certainly did. Your premise proves that loopy lefties can easily grow or flip into loopy fascists, proving that fascism is not a fixed, rightwing philosophy but a fluid one inside the personality.
Furthermore, the rise of political correctness, originally just a nice little moral compass of politeness, has since become a hard doctrine leading to rabbid cancel culture, ie social fascism.
This SMO has truly brought out the left/right divisions of ideology and personality (again, since 1939). How else can one explain all the love for Russia (here) but so much Russophobia around the MSM. I find it a fascinating study of human polarity-thinking.
I think, Boris, we’ve seen the greatest switch in human thinking since The Enlightenment. It’s been 20 years of anti-enlightenment, imho.
My cents worth.

Since the left is represented by the CPC, the governments of Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Belarus etc., all of whom have been successful to various degrees to improve the living conditions of their respective citizenries, one has to ask why you would deem said leftists to be loopy, cruel and sadistic.
On the other hand, the neoliberal right i proudly represented throughout the western world, especially the Anglo-American empire and its politicos perfectly fit your descriptions.
But then again, you might be one of those who think that the Uniparty in the US is communist and the Tories, Macron, Rutte and the rest are leftists. Decades of Cold War propagandahave had an intensely debilitating impact on some people’s intellect.

People behave differently when power is at stake. Those loopy Leftists with their goofy slogans and with poor grooming had no stakes before. They became ruthless and engaged once they saw it as a civilizational battle. That’s what happens to people who think this plane of existence is all that matters, and nothing that happens here has any consequences later.
If all you have to live for is money and power, your life will be very shallow and fragile. Happiness and self-satisfaction usually elude people like that. Many such cases end up in self-termination and substance abuse because absent a higher power, people will focus that energy on a lower one.

Your comprehension skills truly astound me. Sure, I’m a 22 years old neoliberal right-winger as my posts clearly reveal. No wonder you spout nonstop buffoonery and pose as an adult when you struggle to hide your inadequacies.
When you leave your parents’ basement, then offer advice on others. Till then, stop reveling in your ignorance to cover up for your deficiencies.
This is a new one, mocking political sciences now. Didn’t study that, but, unlike you, I comprehend their importance.

The “protesting lady” must be the poster who was offended by me pointing out the common trend among right-wingers to denounce anything that offends them as lefty, communist, what-have-you. Something close to lefties seeing fascists anytime they get butthurt. The clown tries to project when it is he/she/whatever that uses the political terminology that reflects one’s complexes instead of reality.
This is how we have ended up in an alternate reality where the EU and NATO are somehow led by socialists. Go figure.

Every week that goes by and the humiliation of the ‘exceptional’ American nation continues you have to admire that every media outlet left and right in the USA just spews out the #copium of their mental illness that the people of the world want American crooked degenerate shit in their nations.
From #TimCast to #Rogan nonce after nonce spews their deluded belief that they are liked … they still can’t realise they are despised and once their money has gone their culture and mass murdering hippy shite can leave.
Walk up America – stay at home as you smell of urine like your child sniffing rapist president that 80+ million elected knowing he was a war criminal crooked pervert. Biden is what the world thinks of every American.

“It’s not dissimilar social karma to present day America for its African slave trade. Their treatment of poor blacks for 300 years now sadly floods their city streets.”

Oh c’mon SCCC. “America” wasn’t even a sovereign nation when that slave trade began. “America” wasn’t the only country that used or contined that slavery. “America” is the only country in the whole world that fought a huge Civil War to ban slavery. Something like 600k people died in that war, almost all white. Do they count in your Karma calculatuons?
I don’t believe that “Karma” is race-based and can only goes against white people (including Slavs). African warlords sold slaves to many buyers.
But once again I have to admit that your final analysis is 100% correct. America, after 1776, should never have allowed the importation of more African slaves for “cheap labor”.

*** Did you see 7000 African migrants landing on the island of Lampedusa the other day? And then EU funded taxi service start shipping them to the continent?***
Starmer (alleged leader of the alleged “opposition”) wants hordes of them, plus others from wherever, to invade an already overpopulated, under-resourced England. By official arrangement between the next UK regime-front and Brussels.
That’s basically his solution to illegal immigration — to legalise it all, while actually paying the EU lots of money for sending them.
The worst enemy of the UK public is the UK Establishment.

Some facts:
I never said you *were* a 22 yo political science student. I *asked* if you were. It was a mocking reference that you sure sound like one.
I am far from ignorant or inadequate. Lol. 68 yo, self funded retiree, 5 kids, traveled much, read BROADLY, no fixed ideologies. Grew out of them in my 20s, unlike you.
In my personal experience, the mocking of political sciences is very popular in many who actually studied them and then abandoned such doctrines after they realised what a propoganderous straight jacket of thinking they produced. Case in point: Find me an American Political Scientist who doesn’t think Putin is a tyrannical dictator. Washington is full of such thinkers.

Zelensky said the corrupt officials in Ukraine only steal Ukrainian funds, not any funds coming from the west.

❗️🇺🇸🇷🇺”When intelligence is inconvenient”: Seymour Hersh wrote an article warning that U.S. intelligence agencies could lead Washington to war with Moscow.
Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Sunday that he remains “very confident in Ukraine’s ultimate success” in the ongoing military conflict with Russia. He called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decision to step up attacks inside Russia “their decision, not ours.” Blinken’s misguided confidence and his acceptance of a significant escalation of the war in Ukraine is skeptical given today’s reality on the battlefield. But it could also be based on the wildly optimistic estimates provided by the Defense Intelligence Agency. It is now generally accepted that presidents in the post-9/11 era do not hesitate to manipulate and lie about even the most competent intelligence if it does not fit their political agenda. If what is happening now in the U.S. intelligence community is not stopped, it could lead a short-sighted White House into an all-out war with Russia, which no one wants.

❗️Kim Jong-un added to Ukrainian ‘kill list’
A notorious Ukrainian government-linked website has added North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to its list of supposed enemies of the state. The ‘Mirotvorets’ database declared Kim “an accomplice of Russian war criminals,” adding that “civilized nations” had imposed sanctions on him for “human rights violations” and “nuclear blackmail.”

I assumed this is satire as it is so silly. Artillery shells, missiles, bombs and rifle bullets do a lousy job of distinguishing between “less fit” and “more fit” specimens of masculinity, cutting down both equally well. Given that it is the worst criminals and mentally and physically handicapped (not to mention the most cowardly) who tend to sit out wars like this, it’s hard to take seriously the notion that such warfare leaves a “superior” population of men.
