"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

Pashinyan is a seriously weak leader. If the Armenians don’t replace him with a solid character with a backbone, Armenia will end up as a failed state like Ukraine, with high immigration. Russia will keep their military base in Armenia regardless what happens.
ATACMS is just another PR event, keeping audience interested in Ukraine with small dribs and drabs of hopium, with ever diminishing returns.
It’s amazing that Nato has made Ukraine the hill it intends to die on. Ukraine will never again be as powerful as it was in April start. Zelensky himself confirmed Ukraine will get less weapons next year, and they are running out of many items every where.
Now consider Nato and US tying themselves onto the bolted deckchair of the Titanic. Russia knows Nato can’t get out, they will gradually poke holes on to the Ukrotitanic till it succumbs to flooding.

i’m not sure exactly what the point was, though. was it that we can’t change anything, cuz human nature? obvious bs.

There are some constants that mankind cannot overcome. Thus far, birth and death. Gravity. Why is it so difficult to believe that there is a nature to certain things (like trees generally grow upwards, horses have 4 legs)? Babies tend towards certain behaviors, regardless of race or geographic location.
I contemplated nihilism, but then I remembered that there is too much evidence of structure and purpose all around me.

Also wise. There is a LOT of wisdom in recognizing constraints and working within them. So many unhappy people in the world who refuse to accept the things they cannot change.

I think this is likely the strongest signal Putin was expecting a repeat of Crimea and the west just ignoring his little conques
Hank Kwak @ 28
it wasn’t putin’s “little conquest.” we were trying take the sea for a little naval base. ukraine was hating on the russians who live there and they wanted to return to mother russia. just so you know.

The worst possible outcome for the [Biden] regime would be…
That outcome is one of several possibilities. There’s nothing to indicate that it’s the only outcome. People were saying “if the war is still going on in three months” last year.

The Russians who have died were defending their country and the designated victims of the Kiev regime.
Those killed in the Donbas were murdered as sacrificial offerings to the imperialists like Blinken off the blood of innocent people.

I’m sure a lot of Southern diehards say the same thing. That all the Confederate casualties were defending their “country” and that it was their side with the morality.

I find it amazing that this anonymous poster.. “Ink Blot”….
Doesn’t know that virtually the entire Ukie / NATO leadership have publicly stated their intent is
to “Kill All The Moskals”, that is, exterminate all Russians…
For the record, Russia treasures it’s soldiers… gives them the best equipment… uses tactics which conserve them..
BUT….
Those boys are fighting for their homes… their families…
Russian Soldiers are fighting deranged Russians to protect home and hearth…

Do you have quotes stating that intent beyond Lindsey Graham’s “good investment” comment which was met with criticism?
Russia treasures its soldiers enough that it considers felons worthy of being soldiers and throws them to die en masse in waves to wear out the enemy, because that tactic often works.
None of these “boys” in the Russian army instead of LPR and DPR live in Ukraine. So their not fighting for their homes or their families. I can go watch old Hollywood movies for rhetoric like that about US soldiers in WW2 and Vietnam. Whereas you won’t even give the Ukraines fighting for their homes their identity, calling them “deranged Russians” instead. I’m sure the Third Reich saw its enemies as Deranged Germans as well. And plenty of people here have anonymous handles. Why give your real name? Dr. Oprisko, there are people here who will now attack you as a purveyor of a hoax and a foot soldier of deep staters like Blinken because your non-profit works to solve climate change.

Why are you even bothering to read Inkanazi 1969’s drivel, let alone reply? The nazi’s not interested in facts or reality, so you won’t convince it.
Biswapriya continues to be entrapped in his fantasy world where the worst blasphemy is the reality that there are human beings that are not Nazis. A fantasy world enforced by his comic strips that lionize Russian troops the way Goebbels would lionize Nazi jackbooters, and lie about Urkaine not breaking the first defense line.

Nope, Russia preserves its GDP by ensuring its involvement in Ukraine is of such a limited nature that it has minimal impact on Russia’s GDP. Hence the SloMO approach. Its America on the other hand which needs wars which need weapons to ensure the continued GDP survival of America. You might have noticed that the only thing that America really produces is weaponry, most of the other industrial production has been shipped off to China, or Mexico, etc. Of course the other thing that America produces is the dollar, but demand for that seems to be falling.

In an era where a number plate is visible from space it stands to reason that a cemetery would also be and therefore AFU cemeteries would be too.

But then again: Those for whom logic not sufficient evidence would not know what to do with material evidence.

Of course you can see Uke cemeteries from space. With resolutions down to only a few centimeters, satellite imagery can spot and resolve not only individual plots in a cemetery but the type of flowers that have been thoughtfully chosen by the mourning family for the recently fallen loved one.

I really can’t figure Pashinyan out.
He seems to operate counter-logical.
The only explanation is he’s a plant.
But perhaps we’re being a little too hard on Armenians.
Russia has also not dealt completely honestly with them:
The Russians were meant to offer some kind of protection and mediation and at least hold off an Azeri attack.
But they decided to pick the ally with more “value”, even though Azerbaijan is also a borderline Western / Israeli muppet state.
My view is that despite Pashinian, the Russians should have done a better job of maintaining the equilibrium between the Azeris and Armenians.
Not a good look.
The Azeris are also a ticking time bomb …
No good options between these two for Russia – perhaps the best bet is to give both Armenia and Azerbaijan the middle finger and create a protectorate out of Nagorno Karabakh – then Russia’d have to deal with both Armenia and Azerbaijan potentially siding with the West.
What a mess …

You’re the liar here.
We watched the Western media lie daily for almost an entire week about the ‘breakthrough’.
They’d report the breakthrough as “new” every second day.
They were still reporting it as “new” a week later.
In the meantime. there was no evidence of this breakthrough.
We were told more than a week ago robotyne had been capture by the AFU.
But that was a lie, the RF army is still there.
They still haven’t “broken through the first line of defense” or “taken roboytne”.
Now they’re trying to redefine the Surovikhin line to suit their deluded narrative.
Perhaps you should run along and tell your masters the propaganda isn’t working?

Is this really happening though?
The dollar seems to still be the world currency and from my, limited, understanding of economics, it’s showing no signs of stopping.
Even the BRICS countries trade in dollars, with the idea of a BRICS currency being denied by member states.
https://www.reuters.com/markets/currencies/what-is-brics-currency-could-one-be-adopted-2023-08-23/
Let’s consider China, The biggest economic powerhouse after the US. It’s against their interest to use BRICS currency since the US is their biggest trade partner.
Using Yuan as the defaukt currency is not on the map either, China wants strong control of the Yuan to control their internal affairs.
I’d like to see the dollar and the US just not being the default though, so I’d be happy if you could link me some things showing that the Dollar is losing that might.
Posted by: TeddyTheEverSoReady | Sep 8 2023 10:25 utc |
Hi Teddy, there a lots of charts showing the decline of the U.S. dollar as a Percentage of World Trade Transactions. Look them up.
Also, the current rise in the U.S. dollar is because of INCREASING DEMAND FOR U.S. DOLLARS because the U.S. Government desperately needs them to cover TRILLIONS IN SPENDING for which their POCKETS ARE INSIDE OUT.

Many here compare this war to WW One. Yes, and it destroys Ukraine and the men of Ukraine. Who sets them to it?
Here’s Wilfred Owen:
The Parable of the Old Man and the Young
Wilfred Owen, 1893 – 1918
So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
And took the fire with him, and a knife.
And as they sojourned both of them together,
Isaac the first-born spake and said, My Father,
Behold the preparations, fire and iron,
But where the lamb for this burnt-offering?
Then Abram bound the youth with belts and straps,
and builded parapets and trenches there,
And stretchèd forth the knife to slay his son.
When lo! an angel called him out of heaven,
Saying, Lay not thy hand upon the lad,
Neither do anything to him. Behold,
A ram, caught in a thicket by its horns;
Offer the Ram of Pride instead of him.
But the old man would not so, but slew his son,
And half the seed of Europe, one by one.

Who cares if Satan exist or not? The big question is why does God hide his face to humanity? Is it because IT doesn’t exist? Is IT a lie of Satan? Can you say the Epic of Gilgamesh? Is IT a lie just as Genesis is? Isn’t this OT?

«And they now are ready to follow another Westward path and attack China.
If a rat is programmed by an internal logic that following the sun will increase its chances of survival, nothing can change that programming.
»
That impulse is not about following the sun, but a about moving from lower relative carrying capacity areas to higher relative carrying capacity areas, which has been followed first by the indo-europeans from the southern Urals and then by the mongol-turkic-hun tribes from southern central Siberia, and later on the indo-europeans moved to the eastern America and then on to the western America.
A few indo-europeans moved east into India and got stuck there, and many mongol-turkic-hun tribes moved east into China, and got assimilated. In recent times some indo-europeans moved east-south into south Africa and Australia (many northern africans also moved from central Africa to south Africa).
The problem for the USA is that they have “run out of indian lands” to conquer. China is not a suitable target because it is densely populated.
