A bit more on France/the French… Macron posted a video finally covering the G20 and his trip to Bangladesh. Notably, in the G20 bit, he used the “L” word (I’ve been waiting to here someone say it), Lebanon. Footage of Erdogan insisting that he come to Turkiye to discuss Libya. Macron says he will, claps him on the shoulder and says, “take care”. In English, that section. Interesting to watch. No Trudeau meet & greet.

The Daily Mail has videos showing lights in the sky moments before the earthquake in Morocco and scientists don’t know what caused them.

They also have a video of damage to Richard Branson’s luxury hotel, Kasbah Tamadot. He was there, post-quake, helping on the ground.

MOA’s resident spiritual guru,
‘If denk is representing China, he is doing a lousy job’

————————-
Been saying long ago, 99.9% of Chinese
posting at English forums are from the diaspora, mainland Chinese have their very own social platform.
Some say the diaspora are often more nationalistic than the folks back home, Prolly true.
A strong motherland can invokes certain pride in the wandering souls, hardly a Chinese trademark.
But for oversea Chinese, there’s a very practical reason to yearn for a strong China.
The day when China can despatch an aircraft carrier to any part of the planet in short notice like USAss, pogroms and genocides against Chinese minorities would be a thing of the past.
The case of Solomon island…

Honiara, capital of the Solomon Islands, which has had the temerity to act as the independent nation that she is. When Honiara cut ties with Taiwan and switched allegiance to Beijing in November 2021, the CIA’s agents torched much of Chinatown, prompting Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare to request help from Australia under the 2017 bilateral security treaty Honiara signed with Canberra. When that help was not forthcoming, Beijing stepped up to the plate.
China’s determination to protect all Solomon Islanders is important on a number of fronts. Beijing’s current pro-activism is in stark contrast to earlier Sinophobic rapes and murders in Indonesia by Australian backed extremists, which went unanswered. China is signalling that those days are now gone.

Aleph_Null@131…..the is no shortage of spiritual Alzheimer’s among humans of all faiths, inclusive of agnostics and atheists…..Human Spirit transcends all the dogmatic bullshit…..humans in the main are good, raised inside or outside faith boundaries.
That unfortunately some humans are driven by greed, megalomania and lust for power and control…..atypical pissing contests, from school yard bully’s to unstable heads of state who control huge killing machines…..
Setting aside all the history, made up or real, of who and what Jesus may or may not have been…..the most important thing attributed to him and it works regardless of one’s chosen path, when asked, “what are the most important commandments,” (there are twelve, one could pick and choose any number), he said, “believe in one God,” and to “treat they neighbor, as you wish to be treated.”
It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
Cheers M
Btw, the other ten commandments were for people who have issues following the first and most important two…..no names mentioned.

These who understand science don’t go around making human sacrifices at every eclipse or natural event to pacify some great powerful gods.
They are fuckwits, []

Just curious, do you believe in the big bang and general relativity? Or things like pulsars?

Solomon islands? There have been some pogroms against Chinese minorities in Indonesia in the not to distant past, but nothing was deadlier for the Chinese majority than the great “Hell-msman” himself, Mao. From his sick experiments with China’s iron or food production to wiping out its ancient culture or human wave attacks in Korea, he was never in his own front lines. A nuclear war costing 100’s of millions ordinary Chinese? No problem for him, sitting in his cave complex with his cronies, cold calculating that there will be more Chinese leftover than other nationals.
With leaders like that, a population doesn’t need external enemies.
Jiang Zemin had his 610 office while Xi Jinping had his PRC Lockdown-Covid casualty numbers “adjusted” to a few, but both are behind no.1.
No need to search on some obscure islands in the Pacific, just look inside the PRC. Xi’s Taiwan pet project is the next deadly game for other Chinese.

Never mind that spiritual guru, or rather, spirited guilo, you represented Chinese position well here at MOA. I knew about Jack London’s Sinophobic views before but didn’t about Bertran Russell. It was reading your posts that opened my eyes to many myriads of anti-Chinese shenanigans in the west.

The ‘East was Red’ under Mao indeed, of Mao’s love for commoner’s blood: in return the plebs had to adulate their tor-mentor.

Check out too “the private life of Chairman Mao” written by Dr. Li Zhisui who was the Chinese ruler’s personal physician, which put him in daily—and increasingly intimate—contact with Mao and his inner circle. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/195739/the-private-life-of-chairman-mao-by-li-zhi-sui/#
