More Voices Call On Biden To Withdraw From The 2024 Race

The Democrats have a Biden problem:

I do not know who is supposed to manage Biden's public relations but whoever that is is doing a bad job.

The strategists for the Democratic Party and those concerned with winning elections should seriously think about replacing Biden with someone who is better at handling himself.

It is going to get worse:

Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday directed top congressional Republicans to open an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, reversing his previous stance that such an investigation should be initiated only with a vote of the House.

In doing so, Mr. McCarthy leveled a series of accusations against Mr. Biden that he said amounted to a “picture of a culture of corruption” and warranted the House using its most potent investigative tool to try to make the case for removing the president.

The impeachment proceedings, like those against Donald Trump, are mostly a public relation gimmick. But they are also likely to show that the Biden family business is as corrupt as they come.

The British establishment, largely on the Democrats side, is clearly concerned.

The Economist predicts that:

Hunter Biden’s woes, and a new impeachment saga, will go on and on

Yet although Mr Comer’s investigation is failing to prove the existence of what Donald Trump calls the “Biden crime family”, congressional inquiries will now multiply.

Indeed, the younger Mr Biden’s legal problems are intensifying. On September 6th prosecutors serving under David Weiss, the special counsel investigating Hunter, announced that they expect an indictment by the end of the month. The president’s son is likely to be charged with not paying taxes and lying on a form when buying a gun at a time when he was addicted to crack cocaine. A plea deal that would have kept him out of jail on those charges fell apart in July. And other, more damaging charges—such as lobbying for a foreign government without registering—have not been ruled out.

None of that implicates the president. Yet he may suffer for it nonetheless. According to a CNN poll, three-fifths of Americans think Mr Biden was involved in his son’s business. Pump out enough smoke and you might create fire.

The CIA's influence peddler and Washington Post columnist David Ignatius is the latest establishment voice to warn of a likely defeat of Biden should he decide to keep running:

President Biden should not run again in 2024

Like the Economist writers Ignatius is as friendly to Democrats as they come. The CIA and FBI had both intervened after the election of Donald Trump. They launched Russiagate, a series of fake stories, to hamper Trump's ability to govern and to get Biden elected. That its senior management has commissioned Ignatius to call on Biden to give up can be understood as a warning.

Ignatius names two points that put Biden's reelection into jeopardy:

Biden would carry two big liabilities into a 2024 campaign. He would be 82 when he began a second term. According to a recent Associated Press-NORC poll, 77 percent of the public, including 69 percent of Democrats, think he’s too old to be effective for four more years. Biden’s age isn’t just a Fox News trope; it’s been the subject of dinner-table conversations across America this summer.

Because of their concerns about Biden’s age, voters would sensibly focus on his presumptive running mate, Harris. She is less popular than Biden, with a 39.5 percent approval rating, according to polling website FiveThirtyEight. Harris has many laudable qualities, but the simple fact is that she has failed to gain traction in the country or even within her own party.

Biden at least should get rid of Harris who is a bit of a millstone to popularity:

Biden could encourage a more open vice-presidential selection process that could produce a stronger running mate.

Ignatius goes on to ask Biden to step down and to immediately announce that he will not be available for another round:

Biden has never been good at saying no. He should have resisted the choice of Harris, who was a colleague of his beloved son Beau when they were both state attorneys general. He should have blocked then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, which has done considerable damage to the island’s security. He should have stopped his son Hunter from joining the board of a Ukrainian gas company and representing companies in China — and he certainly should have resisted Hunter’s attempts to impress clients by getting Dad on the phone.

Biden has another chance to say no — to himself, this time — by withdrawing from the 2024 race. It might not be in character for Biden, but it would be a wise choice for the country.

I doubt that Joe Biden, or the people around him, will follow that advice. They are too full of themselves to voluntarily make room for others. It will require more intervention, probably from former president Obama, to convince Biden to give up.

Or someone could create some 'medical emergency'. That should not be too difficult given Biden's general condition and age.

Anyway. If the Democrats want to keep the presidency, something needs to be done.

I see my short two paragraph comment made several hours ago without any links got sent to the bin. Oh well. Given the intensity of events, I’ve been very busy posting them at my substack, which is now the hyperlink at my name.

Hopefully Biden will croak soon. President Skank is just what the US deserves.

My issue is that he is still just a man, and worse, an American, so he doesn’t have any core or fundamental moral framework he is operating under.
And the pied piper effect with him seems strong.
I might feel different if he had any background of accomplishment outside of pharma and intellectual property manipulation.
The old, “get me in so I can tear the temple down” is the classic Lucy with the football that Americans have been falling for over decades. Trump made similar promises and was unable to deliver despite having a lot of grassroots support.
I’m not saying it is hopeless, but it is hopeless. American reform will come hand-in-hand with American collapse. It sucks, but humans really only learn from disaster and rarely in advance of predictable consequences.

Who will it be? Hillary Clinton owns the Democrat party and will direct it even after the curtain for 2024 falls. The real and subversive objective of these so-called elections is to keep the blue and the red masses at each others’ throats so the voting still seems real and important.

Predicting American politics has increasingly become a mugs game. Take the rise of Trump to the highest office in the land for example.
The Man, the Myth, the Legend…The not so long ago attention whore and fave of the likes of David Pecker et al. Head man at the National Enquirer for those who didn’t know or forgot in this time of raging inputs and assaults on the logical mind.
They, the very people and orgs, whose shrill cries voicing their horror at the very thought of it, of Trump as Presidential candidate and they were heard around the world, this so called Liberal media, provided The Donald with free media exposure that would have cost a YUGE sum of money.
I won’t offer an estimate of what the final figure might be as that would only be spit balling and serious minded people try their best to avoid doing that sort of thing.
And then, there it was, fait accompli. So who really got The Donald elected and for what purpose? Who controls the media (MSM) would be the first place I would look. Cascading upward and outward from there.
One thing they have accomplished however, is a very successful divide and conquer outcome. You haven’t seen anymore Occupy Wall St. type movements since the original one now have you?
Has America become a place where there are constant mini civil wars where the elite tinker, then observe, then adjust according to outcome? Meanwhile few would likely know the US gov’t is busy looking out for American security concerns in places like the Mariana Islands reclaiming an old WW2 airbase from the jungle on an Island called Tinan, close to Saipan.
And this from 2015, think pivot to Asia
““This isn’t your island,” she told the Navy officials in Chamorro, the indigenous language. “It’s my island.” Switching to English, she compared their plans to crumpling a clean sheet of paper into a ball—no matter how hard one tries to straighten it out, the page will never go back to how it was. “You think we can recover from this?… We can’t,” she said. The crowd erupted into applause. ”

With a declining USD as the world reserve currency that up till now allowed the US empire to perpetually print money to fund its vast network of overseas military bases as well as all sorts of malignant operations for keeping it’s empire together, I think Biden is the perfect embodiment of the current state of the empire. I hope he can continue playing his act for the next 4 years (or so). In the end, US presidents are like puppets on a string that get replaced by a new one when the audience starts to get anxious so the status quo is never endangered, at least from the inside.

I don´t have too many absolute red lines in politics, but support for what Israel is doing to the Palestinians is one of them. Although I support, or can live with most of his other positions,I could never support RFK Jr for that reason.

You better be careful what you wish for. There’s talk that the reason Democrats are turning on Biden is because he’s not sending over arms and money to Ukraine fast enough. The next US President is going to escalate this war to the next level, don’t surprised if US/NATO puts boots on the ground over there.

Biden should not run again. I won’t vote for him. Mainly because of his foreign policies, but also because of his age. In fact, I left the Democratic Party over a year ago. But not for the GOP. Trump is too old as well, and he did too much damage in his one term as POTUS. This is the worst choice of presidential candidates we’ve had in my lifetime, just another sign of the collapse of the U.S. I’d vote for Harris, she may turn out to be a pleasant surprise. Maybe someone acceptable will appear on the scene…or maybe I won’t vote.

Harris is a problem because Biden’s dropping poll numbers show black support at 71%, far lower than 90% in 2020. The likely believe they are stuck with her. She may not resonate that deeply with some black communities (her hometown Oakland favored Sanders over her even before she dropped out) but enough to be a concern.
But please stop with the Michelle Obama nonsense. She would poll well but she has never exhibited an interest or ego in the job, has nothing to prove personally and the Obamas have already cashed out as much as they are ever going to on that scheme. Further the nonstop Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Clinton/Obama thing is just sad and needs to end. Is the establishment that scared to trust anyone else?

Even if [Biden] runs and – despite mail in ballots and by now routine electoral fraud – loses, so what? Nothing will change and even Putin said as much in Vladivostok.
You have to be bat—- crazy to fall for the fake stories of nonexistent electoral fraud, and exceptionally bat—- crazy to even think that they’re routine. Crazy enough to also for anti-vaxxer nonsense and to believe that every other human being on Earth is a Nazi.

Not offering an opinion nor criticism but, if you look into how AIPAC works it might give you some insight. Also, a MAJOR MSM site, (North American) site did a story some years back which stated 50% of all donations to the Democrats come from Jewish donors.
30% of Republican funds come from the same, according to the article.
I was very surprised that a legacy media site would print that. Perhaps because they have a slightly neo con bent, but I really have no idea why they did it. Such a straight forward approach from MSM sources remains a curiosity.

I have suspected there is someone or more than 1 person at the White House sabatoging Biden. This was from a speech Biden gave at a dinner for the US-Africa summit last year.
“We the People.” These are the first words of our Constitution and the very idea of America. And they’re the leading words of many of your constitutions, for: We the people of Kenya. We the people of Namibia. We the people of Liberia. We the people of the Federal Republic of Niger. And so many others. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2022/12/14/remarks-by-president-biden-and-president-sall-of-the-republic-of-senegal-at-the-u-s-africa-leaders-summit-dinner/
Why would you use Niger as an example for Biden to read from a teleprompter? He could make a catastrophic mistake. You can see Biden pause as he is reading the script at that spot https://www.c-span.org/video/?524844-1/president-biden-hosts-african-leaders-white-house

I guess it takes abundant ignorance to think RFK jr stands against the establishment and is a great candidate.
Yeah, he’s real anti-establishment because he opposed COVID vaccines, while at the same time licking the boots of the CIA, ditching Roger Waters when the Israel lobby came calling and went on an unhinged rant about the Palestinians. But yeah he’s real anti-establishment. Let’s not forget, he’s running as a Democrat – oh but wait he’s considering running as an independent because he just learned Democrats rig elections.
People never learn.

What is more likely?
That election fraud is rare, or that Biden exceeded Trump’s 2016 electoral record, which Trump himself bested in 2020 while doing almost ZERO public events?
Maybe, just maybe, Biden is a better candidate than Trump in 2020, Trump in 2016 before him, and Obama before that.
Or maybe the whole game is rigged from top to bottom.

That election fraud is rare, or that Biden exceeded Trump’s 2016 electoral record, which Trump himself bested in 2020 with Biden doing almost ZERO public events?
Maybe, just maybe, Biden is a better candidate than Trump in 2020, Trump in 2016 before him, and Obama before that.
Or maybe the whole game is rigged from top to bottom.
If you believe that, then I would like to tell you about the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.

What we have learned is that it doesn’t really matter who’s the president, the citizens have no say in what the government does in domestic and international matters. There is no democracy, IOW, and the “elections” are merely a charade. In fact Biden often wrongly equates phony elections to democracy.

The country?! As if either Ignatius or Biden have any real concern for the country! What a sick joke.

Divided society, as the USA is, tends to dissolve by the default.
Maybe to morph in some multi-party system that would emerge after whatever “revolution”, they can come up with.
Since almost everyone has a gun or four, they will certainly exercise 2nd Amendment to defend the First one. It is sadly the 18th century mentality that is stopping the plant Earth to prosper. There is nobody except maybe Cornel West that can deliver that message, but not for the Democrats, or for the sake of the argument, Republicans.
And we all know about the USA elections more than in our own countries.
Why is that?

Considering the CPI numbers today, I wonder if many of us have the dollar thing wrong. It will transition from an imperialistic weapon into a crushing burden for the US. They will have to support it with high interest rates and eventually face political suicide by cutting spending in a recession. Yellen or whoever will have to travel across the globe, begging nations not to dump Treasuries.

I get what you are saying about Vivek. Which is why I stressed his ideas, not his candidacy. He offers specific ideas more than any other candidate. Until recently, seriously proposing not only the shutting down of the FBI but also precisely how to do it using existing US Law. I find him off about Russia and China but I still like the way he leads with strong, principled ideas. Refreshing. I suspect his ideas may gain more traction with the American people than his candidacy.
RFJ Jr says he has similar plans but has yet to present details. I found some of his remarks disappointing but if he is running against the Administrative State, I guess he doesn’t want to also take on AIPAC-ADL. It seems he believes Camelot talking points, his head still in the sixties. Hmm, problematic. But: if he wins, he is more likely take an axe to the CIA et alia as his uncle and father died trying to do than any other candidate in history, healing both personal and national trauma, a truly magnificent story arc. So I ignore the faux-pas about that ‘shitty little country’ near Jordan.
Yes, it’s a hopeless circus. But consider: though based on physical terrain, countries are not only material; they are spells knit together by mutual connections and collective imagination. Also true for the Deep State.
Such spells, like any, can break in an instant; and it’s always darkest just before the dawn.

This is the worst choice of presidential candidates we’ve had in my lifetime, just another sign of the collapse of the U.S. I’d vote for Harris, she may turn out to be a pleasant surprise. Maybe someone acceptable will appear on the scene…or maybe I won’t vote.

Seems your first thought is spot on, but I do wonder what Harris has done to make you think she would be suitable to be President? Can you name 2 things?
What comes to mind is the only sage thing I ever heard from the lips of Sarah Palin; “Hopey changey”.

Suggest the campaign and vote to elect 2024-2028 officers to the USA be moved to Ukraine..there, at least, a sane well lead government, independent of USA politics, can protect the vote count from corruption and damage to the US mainland can be minimized. It’s absurd to take polls taken over a year out from Election day 2024 this seriously. We don’t have our final nominees for Democrat and Republican. It will only be until then when they see the choices available that people will make solid decisions about whom they will vote. This post is based on a flawed premise.
In all this time, the Hunter Biden story has hardly been the lead news. The only people that care about it right now are Republican right wing extremists who were going to vote GOP anyway: I said this already the last time this website posted pretty much the same article. Congressional Republicans would be making a huge mistake if they tried to impeach, because the public would perceive them as right wing fanatics trying to stage a coup against Biden. That’s exactly what happened when the Republicans impeached Clinton. Even people who disapproved of Clinton’s behavior stood against the Republicans then.
Claims that Biden is too old for his job have been lies and exaggerations spread by Republicans, the same people crazy enough to believe anti-vaxxer rhetoric and deny global warming. Those stories have no credibility among sane people This Ignatius article does nothing but recycle the same clichés and unfairly badmouth Harris; it’s being met with disdain. MoA comes off as detached from reality by taking the linked articles so seriously.

It seems pretty clear that only two or three idiots really want to be the next us president. Who in their right mind would want the job of signing off on genocides, mandates to destroy healthy humans with gene manipulators, laws to enrich the very few at the expense of the many… on a daily basis.
Like their British cousins, the US have become so politically rotten and monstrous that finding any half way sane candidates is becoming impossible.
With AI though, and possibly robotics, the 2024 election could herald the arrival of the first humanoid president who will be part white, black,Asian, gay, straight,bi,non binary,Indian, pedophile, Catholic, protestant, Hindu…………

Why would Klobuchar or Warren be any better than Bidet or Harris? Because the Press has hyped so? That queer from South Bend, who is now a Secretary of something (transportation???) was touted by the press as brilliant. Oh boy! The brilliance is probably shown in results that I’m blind to, I guess.

It’s probably pretty tough for all the unelected war crazed empire managers and intelligence to let go of such a perfect scam. They can currently do anything they like no matter how insane or unpopular and then just have this corpse puppet say he’s doing it and take all the blame.
Nonetheless, smart money says Kamala announces she’s stepping down to focus on her family to avoid racism accusations against the party and Joe. Then Biden does the same for health reasons. They both then endorse Gavin and x black gal for president in 2024.
Then trump runs from a jail cell and loses despite a tremendous showing because intelligence fixed the election and the media is ordered not to cover the story or to cover it as a second attempt at J6, silencing anyone who doesn’t want to join Trump and the proud boys in prison.
Then Gavin finishes turning the entire US into a failed state like California while dumping most of the country’s wealth into a new stage of “as long as it takes” in Taiwan/Ukraine.
Any real change will come from outside the official two party imperialist political structure or not at all.
Start building up anti war neighborhood and work groups and writing up political platforms. They’ll come in handy very soon as most of the population will be desperately looking for an offramp.

What is more likely?
Maybe, just maybe, Biden is a better candidate than Trump in 2020, Trump in 2016 before him, and Obama before that.
Or maybe the whole game is rigged from top to bottom.

Obama was clearly the better candidate in most of 2008 and 2012, by that meaning he was better at gaining the appeal of voters. Trump was better at campaigning than Hillary in 2016. But he was not better than Biden than 2020 if his debate performance was an indication; Trump had deteriorated to the point of throwing —- on the wall. And Trump’s own unpopularity was a factor in of itself.

This discussion went off road.
The question isnt which candidate presents which ideas or plans or whatever.
The possible actions of a possible president doesnt matter at all.
What matters is the REACTION of the deep state/globohomo/whateveruwannacallit to a presidency of candidate a b c.
We know they want a puppet like biden. We know they react to trump, rfk and vivek like satan to a church.
Its not that any of the candidates could do anything even if we assume they wanted to. Its the reaction to trump/rfk/vivek that would bring the damn thing down.
The funny thing is that they bring it on themselves. They have chosen to transform not only the USA but the whole world within a few years. And because they cant afford to lose time (at least they think so) they act like chicken.

And because they cant afford to lose time (at least they think so) they act like chicken.

zh has a piece up about rfk thinking about running as an independent. It claims that it would be the end of all democrat hopes for 2024.
I am not so sure about that. Wouldnt rfk take a lot of trump voters too? The dems seem to be the party of believers in the system and a candidate like rfk doesnt appeal to them. Is there anybody here who has a better view on this scenario?

RFK, whatever you think of his politics, if he goes Independent, will take more away from the Dems than from the Donald. There are still plenty of voters of the JFK/RFK attraction.
And yes, Israel is a landmine in U.S. Politics. They have effective control of a lot of Loudspeakers in the U.S. and through Epstein have a deck of cards that controls plenty of wayward geriatric U.S. politicians.
