I cannot suggest too strongly to take a gander at the latest Patrick Lancaster video, posted about 12 Hours ago. You will find it right here
Lancaster is developing his craft, the ersatz tabloid accent has shifted to be a lot more informative and much less bombastic as he interviews troops who operate right on the front lines while they are on the front lines.
Production quality is impressive as in addition to an editor whose competency has developed considerably, a cynic may conclude there’s a foley operator although I reckon natural sound has been recorded much better. In addition to infra red photography which works to raise tension as well as accessibility, this latest piece titled “Night & Day On Russian Frontline Under fire With “Cascade”” (running time approx 88 minutes) isn’t just the best work Lancaster has done, it is by far the best coverage of this horrible, needless proxy war made.

If I was a front-line UKe soldier, I’d be nervous if I had one of the newly-released Nazi Azov commanders giving me orders.
Any hesitation, questioning or incomplete action on my part and he’d kill me.
These guys will kill plenty of their own.

🇷🇺⚔🇺🇦This is not an action movie, this is a military defense: footage of the destruction of armored cars and tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The footage from TK Zvezda shows that about 10 armored vehicles remained on fire in the field. Some were burned by Russian shells, others ran into mines.

A demonstration of what’s already here and glimpse of what the near future holds. No reason that self-guiding rocket artillery couldn’t have hit every vehicle in that convoy with one simultaneously salvo.

Simplicius said:
I had thought that the war could last for several years, but given the latest developments, the desperate signals from the West regarding their ammo supplies, etc., it appears to me increasingly possible that without a major black swan event that Ukraine craves so much (like initiating WW3), they could potentially face collapse as early as the end of this year, if not over the course of this coming winter.
This is not opinion. The numbers simply point to this. For instance:
“Our source in the General Staff reports that Zaluzhny briefed Zelensky on the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the southern front, we are losing 5-7 units of heavy equipment per day, while on the eastern front, the losses reach up to 4 units. With such intensity of combat, the Ukrainian army will be able to conduct offensive operations until the end of summer, after which we will be forced to transition to a defensive stance along the entire front line. Zaluzhny once again requests to halt the counteroffensive and abandon Sirsky’s futile attempts on the flanks of Bahmut.”
So, allegedly, Zaluzhny reports they’re losing 10+ heavy armor pieces per day; this does not count APCs and combat mobility vehicles like MRAPs which they probably lose even far more of.
Recall that Ukraine was said to have maybe 500-800 total tanks by the start of the offensive and lost by some estimates 100-200 so far. If we imagine out of those 10 daily losses about 3-4 are MBTs and the remainder are things like artillery, that gives us about 90-120 lost tanks per month. Three more months of that would give us about 270-360 lost tanks by early October. Recall they started with 500-800 (the latter number being a very generous estimate), minus 100-200 from the June failures already puts them at anywhere between 300-600 or so. That means an additional 270-360 would potentially put them at 0 and the war would be effectively over.
Here’s the interesting part. The West appears to supply them to exactly the tune they need to top up. For instance, it was announced by Germany that they are now expediting the emergency delivery of Leopard 1A5s “by the end of July” on the order of 180 total tanks. I believe it won’t be all at once, but the first few dozen will come on an express shipment this month. Note how I just mentioned they lost an estimated 100-200 total thus far in the June ‘offensive’. This emergency 1A5 shipment appears to cover that and seems to confirm the total losses.
You saw the report above, with Zaluzhny allegedly claiming they will be forced into a defensive posture within months as they will be out of heavy armor. Russia knows this, which is why they’re biding their time, slowly building up their own forces until the moment the dam breaks catastrophically. I once thought that the conflict would go on for years, as I said, but now it’s very difficult to actually imagine it going past the next year. A wise man will change his calculations based on new data. The new data for me is the gargantuan amount of losses Ukraine is now confirmed to be taking which are simply untenable through next year, even if they were to go into a defensive posture.
Defensive posture has little bearing on artillery, for instance, and Russia is attriting them in that category almost worse than the tanks.
There is one database showing that 110-120 of the total delivered ~150 M777s are now visually confirmed to be destroyed. A new emergency shipment of Italian M109Ls was quickly sent to stave off catastrophe but the attrition is happening too quickly now that Russian Lancets and FPV drones are in such high production.

According to Sputnik, Ukraine tried without success to hit the Crimean bridge using an S-200 anti-aircraft missile
https://sputnikglobe.com/20230710/ukraine-makes-unsuccessful-attempt-to-attack-crimean-bridge-with-s-200-missile-1111782841.html

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Kiev has made an unsuccessful attempt to hit targets in the Crimea, Rostov and Kaluga regions with S-200 anti-aircraft missiles on July 9, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
“On July 9 this year, the Kiev regime made an unsuccessful attempt to strike targets in the Crimea, Rostov and Kaluga regions with S-200 anti-aircraft missiles converted into a strike version in order to destroy ground targets,” the ministry said in a statement.
One of the S-200 missiles launched by Kiev on Russian territory was aimed at the Crimean bridge, while the other flew to a military airfield in the Rostov region, the ministry said.
According to the report by the Russian Aerospace Forces to Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, four Ukrainian ballistic targets were destroyed on July 9, the statement said, adding that two S-200 missiles were destroyed by means of air defense, two more similar missiles were suppressed by means of electronic warfare.
Additionally, Gerasimov instructed the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as officials of the command post of the joint group, to identify storage and training sites, as well as the launch positions of Ukrainian S-200 missiles and similar strike weapons, and plan their preemptive fire damage.
Gerasimov also ordered taking additional measures to improve the protection of facilities from air strikes in the shortest possible time, the statement said.

Those of us on the outside will never know what it’s like to be Russian, but the least we can do is try to understand the history that has shaped the ‘Russian Soul’. We hear people say “Russian’s are…”, “Ukrainian’s are…”, “Jews are…” as though such things are inscribed in DNA and eternal (James Clapper comes to mind) instead of the product of complex historical processes. Thanks for all the work you do here at MoA in bringing such things to light.

I am interested in how an army would counteract or defend against cluster munitions apart from get to them first on arrival or in storage. If anyone had any idea. Push the front line forward and then retreat somewhat to leave space? Dig in under cover. Still dangerous. Of course it depends where they come from. If from the sea just a little scary.
As for admitting part of Ukraine to NATO that would be the very western part. So a divided country.

Whatever happens, Nato is degrading itself and the esteemed article 5 with all this fooling around. “Ukraine Nato membership without article 5”, as several think tanks in the west seem to want, is a major defeat for Nato. If it has any effect, it can only help disintegrate it.
It would blow up the minute Russia lobs another missile anywhere in the assumed Nato part of Ukraine, which will immediately happen. That’s why Nato won’t even accept the western part.

You ask ‘what do us readers think of the passage you quote ?’
“On February 21, 2022, in a televised meeting, several senior members of Putin’s government, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the former President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the current Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, and the head of the foreign spy service Sergey Naryshkin advanced the idea of diplomatic efforts rather than war, particularly recognizing Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts as sovereign entities (similar to the US and NATO recognition of Kosovo). Among other comments offered during the meeting, Lavrov stated talks were progressing with the West, and Medvedev predicted tensions with the West would subside. Based on that televised meeting days before the invasion, it appears that senior members of the Russian government accepted that there were options other than invasion and occupation.”
– it is simple , THAT is classic camouflage of the actual military intentions. It seemed to work very well indeed. Even some pro-Russians anti Nazi bloggers were convinced by the shaking in fear, rabbit in headlights pose adopted by the RF. Even as they saw full scale military drills taking place with Putin in attendance! Even as the meeting between Wallace and Shoigu resulted in Ben returning complaining about how Putin had gone ‘Full Tonto’.
The action WAS inevitable as soon as the scoundrel natzos had set their defences and planned the invasion of Crimea – the main goal. Us Brits had set up bases and even had warships in place ready to go. Even destroying the Kerch Bridge was part of the plan.
When the action was started to push RF to intervene with the increased shelling of Donbass and the inevitable crossing into these territories THAT would have forced the RF to come to that fight anyway and then get bogged down in the fight against the fortresses.
So there you have my personal opinion on that. I’ll leave with this further speculation :
SMO = WoT
Neat eh? What was started by the highly choreographed ‘attacks’ supposedly by a wholly backward country Afghanistan , one that was only know for its Opium production, which was being cut back and the farmers growing food and other cash crops instead …that ended with a abracadabra instant plan of 7 countries in 5 years ..
That evil plan has finally come to an end and it’s masters are now running around begging to be allowed to keep their ancient power and centuries of wealth stolen from the masses they exploited , murdered, enslaved and kept down. The pathetic kowtowing by Yellen, soon to be followed by the unduly old and still alive moguls such as Murdoch and Soros turning up.
Why Ukraine? Why does it need clearing if it’s native peoples? Here John Bosnic in an exceptional long interview with Working Brother, breaks down his journey in life and his role in the geopolitics of East and West directly states what I and many have opined about why the Pirate Opium Lords and Slavers have always set their eye on the ‘crossroads’ that is Ukraine.
https://youtu.be/jLa8J58JLt0
You tell me if Bosnic is completely nuts or the only one who has given us a narrative of the last 30 years. Either way it is fascinating and explains a lot of the actions of the various nations now.
And why that was the final redline for the Multipolarists New World Order. For sure the RF hasn’t done anything that they haven’t planned and agreed with their closest allies in the SCO.
That is why it is already a world war, an inevitable one, and the response to the World War started under the banner of the War on Terror, called equally mundanely a Special Military Operation. Where does it go now? to a old religious war – the crusades and older schism of Christianity. That is the last hope of the scoundrels.
Will our Woke , de-religioned, un-spiritual, masses respond to that call? I doubt it and they may finally wake up and see that this is a culmination of centuries of avarice not just some dumb green skinned, green screened, Hollywood actors and dancing monkey shelenski.

Who said only western part? They can have that for free after a quick referendum. There were also multiple hints and suggestions from Russia about those regions at the Poland, Hungary, Romanian borders. nato said no.
They want 70% of Ukr minimum. They want Odessa and Zap, at least the part Russia won’t liberate for some reason no one can explain. They will invade and split Ukr in little parts at the border only if syrianization starts to fail some day, in order to maintain the war. But so far nato plan works, the war is only inside Russia, not in the 70% they plan to get, all exports work, gas flows, electricity is for free, so there’s no need to do more.
Not more in Ukr, US is busy in North Korea these days. Flying over its airspace ( tass.com/defense/1644511 ). Taiwan plan also is moving.

Well, here we read this:

Actually, that’s just the thing: Putin nor Russia had anything to do with the timed propaganda event. Turkiye and Erdogan released them, not Putin.
Oh, but Putin was the one to initially release them to Turkiye, you say. That may be true, but:
That was 14 months ago, this is now.
There were different realities back then. With selective memory it’s easy to forget the situation on the ground at the time. Thousands of Azov fighters were entrenched in a deeply complex underground labyrinth which had already squandered a lot of much needed time and manpower on the Russian side, both in needless losses and in the weeks of added siege time.
At the time, Russian forces were in the middle of the bloody Lisichansk-Severodonetsk assault and desperately needed the manpower from Mariupol to be redirected there as reinforcements. It seemed a reasonable compromise at the time: allow a few top Azov commanders to be indefinitely detained in Turkiye in exchange for the entirety of the Mariupol garrison’s surrender and a quick end to the Mariupol Azovstal siege. Given what we now know of Russia’s extremely low troop counts at that early part of the war, any competent commander would have made the same wise decision. A tiny handful of men are not worth hundreds or thousands of your soldiers dying.

Sure. But this isn’t everything.
First, why were they flown to Turkey by Abramovich’s private plane and fed tiramisu and treated like VIPs? Who the f**k does that in the middle of war? You put them in chains, throw them in a military transport plane and dump them off in Turkey like cattle. You most definitely don’t give them a VIP treatment.
Second, they immediately went to Lvov and there was a huge celebration in the middle of the city square. Where were the Iskanders that one would expect to immediately rain on that event? They should have been all killed right there on the spot, and it is a safe bet that every civilian who went to celebrate there is a rabid Nazi Banderite so “collateral damage” isn’t really “collateral damage” at all in this case, but a bonus.
A country serious about “denazification” would have done that, but what we got instead is only complaints and no real action.

Re: Kiev’s inability to fight beyond 3 more months ?
Agreed at the current rate of attrition, Kiev will find it difficult, if not impossible, to build a 4th Army from its 12 million available population pool.
However, the War Party’s near term goal is to keep The Ukrainian Civil War on simmer until Spring 2024. The War Party honestly believes sanctions just need a little more time to take effect and then the Russian economy will collapse. Therefore, keep the fighting on simmer until those sanctions start (finally) hitting hard.
Where to get the manpower for a 4th Army ?
1) 150,000 sheep dipped NATO. There are rumors that some 50.000 sheep dipped NATO are already fighting in-country. Should be plenty of opportunity to recruit volunteers from Eastern Europe at high enough pay.
2) 100,000 Ukrainian Emigres. 10 million Ukrainian Citizens are living in EU countries. Surely it’s possible to ‚inspire‘ 100,000 of these people to join the cause.

Against the background of the disruption of the next wave of mobilization in Ukraine, and in order to conceal the catastrophic losses of the AFU personnel, the Kiev regime has intensified recruitment work in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to attract foreign mercenaries.
In total, since February 24, 2022, 11675 foreign mercenaries from 84 countries have officially arrived in Ukraine to participate in hostilities on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The largest number of mercenaries arrived in Ukraine in March-April 2022, but after the first losses suffered, the dynamics of their arrival sharply decreased.
The most numerous groups came from Poland (more than 2.6 thousand people), the USA and Canada (900 or more people), Georgia (more than 800 people), Great Britain and Romania (700 or more people each), Croatia (more than 300 people), as well as from France and the Turkish-controlled part of Syria (according to 200 or more people).
As of June 30, the destruction of 4,845 foreign mercenaries in the course of hostilities has been reliably confirmed, in the vast majority from the United States, Canada and European countries. Another 4,801 foreign fighters escaped from the territory of Ukraine, having dealt with the attitude of the Kiev regime towards them. Today, 2,029 mercenaries continue to operate in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to information received during interrogations of captured Ukrainian servicemen, the commanders of the AFU units operating on the line of contact are not held accountable for losses among foreign mercenaries. The Ukrainian command throws into “meat assaults” on Russian positions units manned by foreign mercenaries, first of all. Evacuation of wounded mercenaries is organized on a residual basis, only after the removal of Ukrainian servicemen.
According to reports, due to the high losses of personnel, the Kiev regime in the last month launched the recruitment of foreign mercenaries in Argentina, Brazil, Afghanistan, Iraq and in areas controlled by the Americans in Syria. Due to the multiple drop in interest in dying “for the Kiev regime” in Poland, the UK and other European countries, recruitment activities in the USA and Canada have been intensified. This work is being carried out on the basis of Ukrainian foreign institutions with the assistance of Western intelligence services, primarily the CIA and private military companies controlled by it (Akedemi, Kubik and Dean Corporation).
Foreign mercenaries are used by the Kiev regime as “cannon fodder”. No one from the Ukrainian command regrets their lives. Therefore, they have only one choice – to escape from Ukraine or die.
During a special military operation, the Russian armed Forces will continue to destroy foreign mercenaries, regardless of their location on the territory of Ukraine.

At the risk of posting on an older thread…
Do you really trust the MSM to show you valid photos?
More likely, they have a few file photos laying around from 8 to 10 years ago from any conflict, Syria, Libya, Iraq, etc.
Many times the photo captions don’t even match the pictures.
I have seen M155 shells (w/o fuzes) in Libya identified as “Russian Rockets”.
I have seen Janes Defense (the definitive source for military items) identify US Army weapons being used on Air Force jets, and Air Force missiles being used on Army helicopters. Real jokes for those working inside the services.
Trust me, every US munition has a tested and approved storage/shipping container, and 99% of them are stored in reasonably climate controlled storage bunkers. Once they get released to an active portion of a theater is where you finally can get some pictures of them, maybe.

Civilians being evacuated from Sumy oblast. Been waiting for the Russians to activate the northern front again since their first sorties to Kiev at the beginnning of the SMO. They have created the perfect anvil in the Donbas; it only makes sense that the hammer will come from Sumy.
But they will not attack in the north again until they are sure Kiev can be taken in the offensive. The slow grind is so painful to watch though. The commanders of the Russian Armed Forces must have tremendous patience.
Every factor and metric points to Russian victory. The consequences of Russia’s superior numbers, resources, and strategic advantage should be obvious to everyone. There is only one possible outcome to this war. The reunification of All-Russia will lead to the national rejuvenation of the Russian people.

Slavyangrad ….
We are implementing the highest increase in defence spending in recent history – Stoltenberg.
https://t.me/s/Slavyangrad
” How are we going to pay for it ? ”
Will never be asked once, but if it was for healthcare, social housing , infrastructure , education, pensions etc, etc, etc that would be the very first question asked by the talking heads on every TV and radio station. ” How are we going to pay for it ” would be asked for weeks.
The very first thing any war mongering neoliberal, globalist leader will try do with their budget is slash taxes. After spending Billions on lock downs and billions on this war the very first thing the Truss Tory government tried to do was slash taxes. That should have put the tax payer money myth to bed for good. Voters should have then worked out the truth. Alas.
Alas, the $ billion Satchi and Satchi marketing campaigns employed by both Thatcher and Regan in the 80’s. Which message was there is no such thing as state money only tax payer money. Was the most successful advertising campaign in human history. That nearly 50 years later many voters still can’t connect the dots and work out the myth for themselves.
Both the neoliberals and neo cons will be cheering this increase in military spending. ” How are we going to pay for it ? ” will be put in a drawer and brought out as propaganda another day. Another day when they want to prevent any social change that would benefit everybody.

There will be no Russian offensive in August or September – haven’t you heard of the BRICS meeting in South Africa and the G20 in India?
No way Putin will embarrass allies like South Africa & India so blatantly.
You do remember no offensive during the Chinese Olympics in February 2022 do you not?

How many $ trillions will have to be spent over the last couple of years. On lock downs and war without taxes going up and the war mongers actually want to slash taxes. Before voters realise the universal truth ?
Or has the real question now become – are Satchi and Satchi Marketing managers now considered as God’s ?
It’s incredible the power of marketing campaigns when you think about it. That prey on GROUPTHINK.

For the fans of flightradar24: reservsvo TG channel has screenshots of two nato planes, E-3A and C-32A, over Belarus. They’re getting the NK treatment, if true.
Though, now that I think about it, we can never know because no one from Belarus or Russia will ever admit nato is flying over them.

Simplicius being referenced so often here since he began his substack it’s assumed most barflies know where to find his site. Here’s the link to the specific info being discussed, “Azov Commanders Return, 6th Column Goes Crazy”, although it should be noted that S provided the important portions of an interview done with them that ought to be upthread that Simplicius also cites.

I don’t think this has been stated here directly so I will.
Cluster munitions are a possible choice when the target is exposed light infantry or civilians. If the target is fortified positions, buildings, or heavy equipment cluster munitions are entirely useless. there is a good reason the most used 155mm howitzer round is a high explosive round.

Watching Russia kick the shit out of an army that has unanimous NATO backing, flush with NATO munitions, supported by NATO intelligence, and trained by NATO is really hard for the pro NATO to watch. Please respectful, NATO are only just finding out that their coalition is a paper tiger.
