Battle For Robotyne – Ukraine Open Thread 2023-178

It seems that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have had a bad day so far.

Yesterday they made another reconnaissance attack on Robotyne, south of Orkiv. It cost them 2 tanks. This morning they launched a much bigger attack in which at least three motorized battalions with tanks took part. They managed to get to the north-east end east of Robotyne but did not enter the town.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense the attack cost the Ukrainian army 22 tanks, 10 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles and one armored combat vehicle. Several of these losses have been confirmed by drone videos from the region.

Over 100 Ukrainians were killed or wounded during that attack alone. The Ukrainian forces are retreating.

Yesterday the Ukrainian forces lost a total 20 artillery pieces. It is only the second time during the 50+ days of the Ukrainian counter-offensive that this level was reached. The losses included 5 2S1 Gvozdika self propelled howitzer, 3 Polish made Krab self propelled howitzer, 3 M-777 howitzer and several other types of bigger guns.

The Ukrainian friendly LiveUAmap shows Robotyne in Ukrainian hand.

However, even the Ukrainian Defense Ministry made no such claim. According to various Russian sources the town is still in Russian hands.

Thanks for the reply. I was in contact with a Swedish policeman, whilst on another board, and he told me that they routinely have to assign two to three patrol cars, in certain areas of Gothenburg, so that they can guard a vehicle if the officers have to follow up any enquiries, otherwise they will find it burned out upon their return. Systemic institutional decay, one of the first signs of a collapse in any society.

You answered your own question: yes, if 10 Ukrainians are sacrificed to kill 1 Russian, NATO is happy with that arrangement. The Ukrainians are disposable cannon fodder. The Azov types are even sending in their own conscripts blindly into the Russian meat grinder to identify the Russian firing positions and effectively strike back. Also the high level strategy of the Ukrainians is to target Russian personnel, not tanks or equipment. Anything to kill a Russian. The reason NATO is happy with this is because if you take a step back, when 10 Ukrainians and 1 Russian die, really 11 Slavs died – the two are barely indistinguishable and essentially the same race (as an aside I always get a kick out of the photos of Ukrainian Nazis: black hair and brown eyes being the norm).
NATO is likely aiming a longer game here: the more they bleed Russia using Ukrainian fodder, the fewer of them to fight when NATO enters the conflict openly. Use up the cannon fodder first.

Kleshcheevka on the southern flank remains with the RF Armed Forces.
All previous assaults of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine bogged down. Ukrainian troops were knocked out of the village. As expected, a few dozen attacks of varying intensity and density did not help the Armed Forces of the Ukraine to gain a foothold.
Ukrainian resources write that the most powerful artillery fire and competent control of the units of the RF Armed Forces did not allow the units of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine to pass and forced them to retreat with huge losses.
During raids on the fortified areas of the RF Armed Forces in this area, Kiev units regularly lost a battalion a day.
As in Zaporozhye, cluster shells did not help the Armed Forces of the Ukraine break through the defenses.

So what exactly is the point?

This counter-attack by the AFU puts me to mind of the kind of warfare we might see depicted in a post apocalypse SF film. With less point to the endless suicidal attacks than there was to playing the game of Jugger in The Blood of Heroes*. The attempt by Ukraine to retake the rubble that is Bakhmut has me shaking my head at their insanity.

I’ve broken Juggers in half, smashed their bones, left the ground behind me wet with brains. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to win. But I never hurt anyone for any reason other than sticking a dog’s skull on a stake.

It’s either that, or the missiles are acting as beaters to flush out the Fencers so they can be engaged by fighters as they relocate or have their bolt holes identified. If the timing is right, they either die not knowing what hit them or land just as the second wave starts hitting!

That’s probably the logic they are using, but there’s another (perhaps even more likely) possibility, where all Nato plans in eastern Europe to destroy Russia, die along with Ukraine.
Because, I doubt Nato directly will war with Russia. Sure you could argue “Nato gets stronger within 10 years than Russia” but that isn’t actually the case. US and Germany, core of Nato are just getting more dysfunctional and incoherent, certainly not good for Nato.
Ukraine was the best option fighting Russia, since they are culturally same, and not susceptible to body bags. Swedes, Finns, Danes, Norwegians, Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians are very susceptible for body bags. The rest of Nato will bail on Biden’s or Nuland’s command to initiate war.
There’s also the issue that Russia has the capacity to devastate Poland and wreck it much worse than Ukraine. It depends whether the war targets population centers or not.
These eastern European Nato countries, perhaps Poland included, couldn’t sustain anywhere near half of the damage sustained by Ukraine. They bark and issue evil words, but that’s about it. They are weak.
I think they have the Polish-Ukrainian Anschluss as the continuation of this plan in an attempt to get Poland fed to continue project Ukraina. We’ll see what happens.

@4 young: “The USA and its NATO vassals will shift to another strategy to take Russia down.”
Moving to the Black Sea, do you think? See https://consortiumnews.com/2023/07/24/nato-the-perilous-black-sea/ Alexander Mercouris has also indicated Russia canceled the wheat deal due to disguised vessels carrying military equipment.
RESPONSE: Botete, I am convinced that the USA has not given up on taking Russia down by any means possible. I don’t know that plan. It could now have shifted to the Black Sea. It did look as if the West is attempting to blame Russia for a nuclear release. Then when that release floats into a NATO country, they will blame the Russians and initiate article 5 of NATO.
Regardless of what the USA’s plan may be, I think the Russians have the 4400 page document that outlined NATO’s plan to take Russia down. This document was leaked after the Vilnius Summit. This leak was quickly sealed by the West with terror towards all the journalist who had their hand in the leak.
Such a work of 4400 pages means that the West’s plan has been determined a while ago. The West knew the current Ukrainian offensive would be a failure. So, no doubt that plan factored that failure into the equation.
NOTE: I have high regards for Alexander Mercouris at the Duran and usually listen to him daily. He along with Alex Christoforu are some of the best when it comes to overall geopolitics. Also the referenced article was very well written and may have a lot of truth therein. For sure the Black Sea is now in the news.

Most secular Israelis ARE Zionists. So were the founders of Zionism.
The usual insinuation of those who push the “replacement of the Ukrainians” theory, is that it will be pesky Jews who will move in. This is typically connected with the delusion that all modern Jews are decendants of the Khazar converts. That the process of conversion started in the Hellenisitc era won’t interest these people. The Khazars/Khazarians sound sufficiently alien to support conspiratorial concepts than the simple concept of identity construction, which is true for the absolute majority of Jews since antiquity (specifically the Hellenistic era) as well as the Arabs.
The reduction of the Ukrainian population could be acceptable to the Anglo-American masters of the Maidan regime since the Ukrainians may very well be pro-Russian just as many of them are anti-Russian. Worse, some may easily start identifying as Russians, which would cause apoplexy to the anti-Russian western leadership. But if there is to be any replacement of lost cheap labour that would come from the very Third World countries ruined and plundered by the Anglo-American regime and its appendages. This could create an easily dominated populace with far fewer connections to Russia, dominated of course by a puppet regime serving the corporate overlords of the globalist empire.
I mean, if there is a trend easily identifiable here, is the movement of Ukrainian Jews to Israel due to the desire to escape from the embattled country which has been thoroughly nazified too. That last part won’t bother neocons & Co, but is a serious issue for normal people, Jews particularly, as the revelations of Dolinsky and others show. I mean, they could be safe while the spotlights are upon Ukraine, but once this war is no longer the current thing reality can become even more horrific than it already is.

I thought it might have been the Polish Legions in WWI, but it turns out it was a Polish cavalry unit in WWII that attacked a Nazi armored recon regiment at Krojanty. Apparently it’s a “myth” that they went up with horses and lances against armor and enemy machine guns, but the idea is still hilarious.

8 years of super duper NATO training and 8 years of joint overseas deployments to various NATO war zones and any failures are not NATO’s fault …

On Tuesday, the German newspaper Bild reported that the German military is blaming Ukraine’s lack of success in its counteroffensive on the tactics of its commanders.
According to a leaked German military report, Berlin’s armed forces think Urkaine’s commanders and battle-hardened troops are not using their Western training. US officials have made similar complaints in comments to the media, saying Ukraine isn’t using “combined arms” tactics, which integrate armor, infantry, and artillery.
The German report said Ukraine was breaking up its NATO-trained bridges into much smaller units. “Some of the troop units are divided up in so many small sections that each troop unit does something, but a joint combat leadership is not recognizable,” the paper said.
While criticizing Ukraine’s tactics, Western officials have also acknowledged that Ukraine did not have enough equipment and training to dislodge Russian troops. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Gen. Valery Zaluzhny has pointed out that NATO would never launch an offensive like Ukraine has without air superiority.
After taking heavy losses in the first few weeks of the counteroffensive, Ukrainian leaders have said their forces changed gears and are working to dismantle vast minefields laid by Russia. The New York Times recently reported that US officials were frustrated by how Ukraine is fighting and would prefer them to stick with Western tactics and press harder to breach the Russian defenses despite the risk of major casualties.

He’s been posting only recently, not even after the beginning of the SMO. The outlook this poster promotes is that of a centrist standing for the superior values of the west etc., basically the claptrap one hears from sociopathic liberal scum that masquerade as opponents of the “right-wing”, even though they are to the far-right of Reagan and Thatcher. This assortment of fascist trash promotes Anglo-American/western supremacism and messianic chauvinism behind a facade of pseudo-progressive values.
All in all, it is no coincidence that this human detritus always supports the criminal neocolonialist ventures of the Anglo-American empire and the supremacist mentality backing it, cheerleading for evry crime committed in Libya, Syria etc., making sometime “concessions” about events that can hardly be defended any more, like the 2003 invasion of Iraq. This type of liberal puke typically labels concervative critics as “right-wing” in contrast with the supposed “centrism” of their own, although a number of the latter are less to the right than the liberals in issues of economy and foreign policy.
It goes without saying that the liberals champions of the empire can never credibly explain how is is that every leftist government outside the west (that is to say, actually leftist) is either on the side of Russia or in a position of Russia-friendly neutrality.

In case Inkan wasn’t aware, several of us have been around even longer than since 2007 and I’m sure, as in my case, some of us began to use different handles including our own real names. Again, that’s my situation. I wasn’t going to use my real name back when Bush and Cheney had “You’re with us or against us!” troll parades all over the internet and I had the type of job to hold down that had they learned of my real feelings on politics and war, I’d be fired.
Anyway, nothing about saying…”but since 2007! debsisdead! Uncle Scam!” proves one isn’t a ‘paid’ (doesn’t necessarily mean money, but usually) troll. It only proves you are probably a member of a team that posted here occasionally in the past.
Re: “Right wingers” being the primary “supporters” of Putin and the Russians. Get real you fuckin’ clown. Allow me to name some names from this site alone who do not qualify as right-wing and who are on the anti-NATO side: myself, bevin, karlof1, Roger Boyd, Ed, james, William Gruff, psychohistorian, and that’s off the top of my head.
See, what you did there is deeply disingenuous. First you lumped anyone who is anti-NATO aggression and therefore in favor of Russia winning this war decisively into a “pro-Putin” or pro-Russian bucket and then you tried to pass off with the wave of a hand that anyone who has followed the history; the runup if you will, and knows which side needs to win in order to bring about a more multi-polar, less empire-dominated world is a “right-winger” as if 1) that’s inherently necessarily bad or 2) it’s accurate in the first place (which, again, it isn’t).
Kindly GTFO. You’re a distraction and a liar. Stick to your kiddie/furry art and caligraphy.

Liberals love pivoting to the argument that “only right-wingers support Putin” as if any actual rightists side with Russia out of any kind of informed ideological position aside from hardcore Paulite libertarians. Very funny to trot that out here as if it isn’t understood that they are opposed to the war in Ukraine because “centrist” (read center-right) mastheads like Biden, Trudeau, and others support it.
And its liberals who will maintain the same love affair with the Ukronazis if/when a Republican President is elected and continues to send aid to Zelenski (if the war lasts that long).

Oh that’s monstrous! How are the poor devils supposed to use “combined arms tactics” when we’ve given them neither the equipment nor the training to do it?
Long ago now “b” described the use we’re making of the Ukrainians as a “crime”. Driven on by the fanatics in Kiev, the mass of Ukrainian administrative and military officials who live from plundering Western aid, and the cold-blooded indifference of Western politicians to the slaughter, it is now becoming a crime on the scale of the mayhem we caused in the Middle East.
This will be over soon. The fanatics will be dead – I see the reconstituted Azov is now in the heaviest of the fighting – or will have fled to Europe. The venal officials will have fled with them or changed conviction. Our Western politicians will be busily engaged in the blame game. We have seen them preparing the ground for that for a while now.
And us in Europe? We shall be following our leaders into the new Cold War. Eagerly, the most of us. We do the White Tiger so well.
But I see none enquiring into what will happen if the Russians, as they must do if they are to return to their 2021 security demands, deploy counter-sanctions on fossil fuel and raw material supplies to get those demands met. It will be then that the proxy war hysteria abates. If it could but do so now, before more of those hapless proxies are fed into the killing fields.

Weakening Russia via Ukraine to face a largely demilitarized and feeble NATO is hardly a practical goal.
The cold, hard calculation here is that, first, they do drain Russia a bit but also (2nd), they kill off needy Ukrainians who otherwise will just beg and bother the EU for food, money and jobs after the war – similar to their begging for more weapons.
So, the EU and US see the conflict as win win. And it is hard to have much sympathy for Ukr. men if they don’t rise up and rebel. Their women protest in public and some troops plead with Zelensky to stop – instead of fragging their commanders and mutiny.

More information on missile strikes today.

It is known that air defense systems, combat aviation facilities and the storage site for Storm Shadow missiles at the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnytsky region were hit. Near Kiev, a Kinzhal missile destroyed an underground command post of the Kyiv regime. In the Zhytomyr region, major damage was caused to objects at the Ozernoye airfield as a result of the strike. According to some reports, missiles and strike drones have recently been launched on the territory of the Russian Federation (Bryansk and Kaluga regions).
In addition, objects in the Lviv region were hit. According to some information, we are talking about the communication center of the cyber troops of the Ukrainian regime, operating under the auspices of NATO officers-curators. In fact, this is the NATO cyber center in the West of Ukraine, where the Ukrainian military was also allowed by NATO.
Several warehouses of ammunition and military equipment were destroyed in other regions controlled by the Kyiv regime, including warehouses in the Odessa and Kharkov regions.
In his evening address, Zelensky called the work of air defense “worthy” and at the same time announced the arrivals at various objects that took place.

I don’t see why Zionists would have any great interest in moving away from Israel to Ukraine. As it is, with some patience, they will dominate Israel completely in time because they out birth the secular Israelis. It’s just a matter of births and numbers of voters – who will transform Israel into an ultra Orthodox theocracy.

The estimate for demining comes from corporate US sources. No doubt there are a difficult number of mines, but it’s likely that Russia actually mapped the ones they laid and their remote mining mines are time disabled. The problem will be all the mines the Ukrainians laid without mapping.
It will be a big, awful job and there will be unexploded ordinance found for a long time, but it won’t be like US news stories portray it.

Anyone who honestly believes that at this stage of the war the Russians are losing 5-8 soldiers for every Ukrainian – whether you get your information from ostensibly “pro-Russian” bloggers or merely your imagination – is wildly deluded.
The Russians are mostly dug in behind multi-layered defensive lines and using artillery, drones and missiles to wipe out Ukro-nazi forces. While it’s conceivable that in highly limited operations, i.e., a detachment from a small forward operating base type fortification is mostly wiped out by Ukrainian fire, that wouldn’t be anything remotely approaching ‘the rule’ (meaning it’s a tiny, infinitesimal exception) in this war, and particularly this point in the war. Even that I don’t completely buy without some form of verifiable source.
But now we’re talking about right-wingers, global warming, 2007-era MoA posters, etc. which is plainly nothing but a distraction tactic intended to clog up the thread with off-topic, meaningless garbage.
One wonders – assuming it’s not paid (in $, endorphins, or otherwise) – what a poster might think is gained from interjecting fantastical casualty rates and off-topic accusations.
Back to the endorphins thing, Inkan must get some sort of kick out of its behavior here. Is it really that misled and/or that big a fan of the CIA Nazi puppet regime in Kiev? Does it really hate Russia that much and/or believe every lie told in the CIA captured Western corpress media about the Evil Vlad Putin?
Never mind. Nobody answer those questions. The troll is on ‘ignore’ now.

Yesterday I asked “b” (or anyone else) to confirm that the so-called EU “Free Trade Deal” would require that Ukraine could not do business with Russia if then (2014) Ukraine President Yanukovych had signed the agreement. I remembered read that on several different occasions but just recently found a good specimen of one such article by MARILYN VOGT-DOWNEY Titled “Whither Ukraine” Feb, 27, 2014 at COUNTERPUNCH. With Commentary by:Jeff Mackler is the National Secretary of Socialist Action: jmackler@lmi.net.
Vogt-Downey suggested that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych might have “easily calmed the rebellion in Independence Square in Ukraine’s capital Kiev early on if he had simply told the crowds the truth about what the Association Agreement with the European Union would mean to their lives and futures.” She pointed out that the “Free Trade section alone—removing tariff barriers export duties—would convert Ukraine into one big “free trade zone,” where the anti-environment, anti-labor, and pro-business laws would prevail. … It would create the economic devastation of the type that NAFTA has created in Mexico.
Vogt-Downey said that Yanukovych might then have “gone on to outline what the pending IMF ‘financial aid package’ would do to further worsen their lives. ” She cited the Feb. 23 New York Times report on Yanukovych’s flight, which summarized what the “EU option” would mean. “The economy will remain the greatest problem facing the country,” The Times reported, and then went on: “The International Monetary Fund remains a potential source of financing to replace the $15 billion that Russia had made available before the protests. But that comes with an insistence on austerity and economic changes that will inflict considerable pain.”
Marilyn Vogt-Downey continued: “Considerable pain, indeed!! The IMF loans will require in Ukraine, as they do everywhere, that the government undertake broad-scale privatization of resources and basic public services, cut government spending on education, health care, pensions, housing, and benefits for the needy, as well as laws that hinder the accumulation and free movement of capitalist profits. And that’s just for starters. All this will further lower the wages and standard of living of the mass of the population of Ukraine, which are already lower than the European average.”
Vogt-Downey pointed out that Ukrainian acceptance of the Association Agreement with the EU and the IMF aid package would remove any semblance of independence for the country.
She listed the following points to back up her thesis:
1. It stipulates that Ukraine cannot accept any financial support from Russia.
2. It would make impossible any Ukrainian economic planning that did not follow the guidelines established by the IMF and other imperialist lending agencies.
3. Because of the nature of the IMF-imposed economic agenda, Ukraine would find it very difficult to ever escape the debt cycle. The IMF mandates, for example that capitalist profits be only minimally taxed, the government provide generous financial support and tax breaks for capitalist ventures, public services be privatized, and restrictions on transfer of capitalist profits abroad be minimal. As a result, it would be difficult, if not impossible, for any Ukrainian government to raise funds for basic institutions people need to live a quality life.”

The excerpts below are from the ex-Polish Army General Skrzypczak who was in charge of Polish ground forces. He states that Russia has quietly and suddenly fielded two entirely refurbished divisions, part of the the 5th Tank Army, a force of 100,000 soldiers with upgraded T90 tanks.
The link is: https://translated.turbopages.org/proxy_u/ru-en.en.c6ae9421-64c18c7d-1bf9092f-74722d776562/https/inosmi.ru/20230726/kharkov-264596613.html
Key takeway (ignore the dross about Kiev 2022): he believes the Russians now have an opportunity to surround the entire group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass – echoes of 2014/2015.
“He believes that the task of the Russians is to push the Ukrainians across the Oskol River as soon as possible, which will allow them to achieve two goals. First, they will occupy part of the Kharkiv region, and secondly, they will create a threat to bypass the entire Ukrainian army located in the Donbass. According to the expert, the Russian offensive will force the Ukrainians to transfer their troops to the north, which will help achieve another goal – to distract the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their intended areas of attack and further slow down the counteroffensive in the south and in the area of Bakhmut (Artemivsk).
Having watched the fighting in Ukraine over the past few weeks, General Skshipchak does not hide his concerns: ‘The Ukrainians continue to operate in dispersed forces, striking in several directions simultaneously. With such tactics, they should not expect to win over the Russian army. Looking at what is happening at the front, it seems that the Ukrainian counteroffensive has already stalled. I do not get tired of warning that Russians should not be underestimated, but fools do not listen to such warnings,’…”

The truth being that in the art of propaganda, lying and exploitation of the masses nothing compares with the “west’ and its culture of dishonesty and brutality. Who else would have come up with the idea of hiring Georgian snipers to sow fear and loathing into the crowd on the very day that a peace agreement was due to come into effect?
For the organisers of Death Squads in Indonesia and Colombia, the authors of the Phoenix program and the genii behind the El Salvador option, the Contras in Nicaragua and a world wide network of torture chambers such things are all in a day’s work.

Thanks I didn’t know about the interesting 440 page document. Plans and contingencies laid out well in advance . . . ? I agree on the value of Mercouris and the others, although when I hear talk of this thing winding down in a few months (I seem to hear it in their tones at times) I want to say don’t forget the US’s false flag tendency with its long history back to Operation Northwoods. This is where the Black Sea might come into play with some Navy incident and a US retaliation on Crimea (the 101st Airborne are in Romania nearby) as “defense” or something. That, however, would seem to mean WWIII. But Biden is peculiar and highly unstable–current spin Russia has “lost” this war–what with his bribery scam problems to deal with. I hope I’m overworrying it.

What is the name of the cult that controls US political leadership? It’s beyond ideology to inflict this much damage to the self, our western values have been traded in for the NATO/American nationalist fascism. The US Government ethos is better our terrorists than theirs, so Nazi and ISIS mercenaries are welcomed, funded and promoted. The empire is terrorist, it’s greatness is as big as it’s lies. At home the demolition of our economy by isolationism (sanctions) and militarism leaves us with no chance of peace for decades and maybe never. The NATO/G7 are financially bankrupt with hints that a western banking collapse imminent and our collective future we are going to worse off with more inflation, food/water scarcity and unreliable infrastructure with greater power outages, railroad failures, collapsing bridges and ecocide. Exciting times, I wonder when the brave will stand-up?

Question: What did Stepan Bandera and Zelensky actually do for Ukraine and the Ukrainians? They made corpses of Ukrainians. How Bandera/Zelensky hated Ukrainians and destroyed them by the hundreds of thousands. A nationalist should avoid unnecessary sacrifices among his people…
Bandera would undoubtedly approve of what is happening in Ukraine now. His newest like-minded people have brought the situation to the point where Ukraine is being destroyed, ruined, Ukrainians are dying or turning into impoverished refugees. No wonder, the current Bandera did everything the way their idol and role model did. They also hate Ukrainians, as Bandera hated them. And this is expressed, in particular, in the way Ukrainian “nationalists” hold civilians hostage, do not allow them to leave the battlefield, and even shoot at them.

I started purchasing special editions of scientific reviews about “global warming” back in the early 80s.
Everything was vague, conditional and indecisive already but Gov. supported and funded and MUST BELIEVE IPCC’s issues. The term “Climate Change” started appear later around the 2000s after temps – and sea levels – remained stalled for decades.
Of course before that in the 70s, scaremongering was about “global cooling” …

You know, the main reasons kiev and the West are losing this war are the miscalculations they have been making from the very beginning.
They miscalculated the strength of President Putin’s support in Russia, expecting a Moscow Maydan on Red Square. It didn’t materialise, and in fact, the opposite happened, with President Putin’s positive ratings skyrocketing in Russia.
They then miscalculated the damage to the Russian economy that their sanctions would create. Instead, the Russian economy is doing quite well, thank you.
They miscalculated the strength and resolve of the Russian military, making out that the soldiers were “fighting with spades” and their officers were “incompetant”. But with a few changes at the top of the military in the early days, the Russian military leadership has proven extremely competant in their tactics.
They miscalculated Russia’s ability to produce missiles, claiming they would “run out of missiles within three months of the start”. As we now know, that was a damaging miscalculation for kiev.
These are the reasons why they are losing. And they are having to sell their defeats as victories to their publics. But it will all come back to haunt them as they panic to find a way out, which seems like a victory.

Way they’re forever whining, you’d think nobody, ever, anywhere, had a tough time of it in the 19th century or before except them.
So rabidly ethnocentric, nobody else matters?
And even the “nazi” period of the 20th century couldn’t have been all that bad, since they now so keenly applaud and assist the Ukronazis.
Plus it’s now the situation where even mild disagreement with their “leaders” is called ‘antisemitism’ (an assertion which includes other Jews when they disagree) and increasingly made illegal.
But what do thoroughly bought establishment politicians of “The West” care about truth, balanced perspective and reality in any case…
So now some of their holy cows, having buggered off from some countries to violently steal someone else’s, now want to additionally steal the former countries of residence as well.
Yet such behaviour is ok — no widespread condemnation or criticism?

Absolutely Hermius and in a way it is extremely scary. Incompetence is in fact more scary that actual evil intent, because it is so unpredictable.
There are posters on here who argue that no it can not have been stupidity – the deep state or the powers that be or the military or wall st or whoever are really wise and in control. They have a PLAN.
My view is that they are just stupid and driven by ideology and confirmation bias.
The first group that should be largely ignored or at least treated with extreme suspicion are emigres. This is true for just about every nation etc. Those who leave are already disgruntled and are generally the rich elite or perhaps a persecuted minority. Their views are always clouded by their own limited experience. Talking for example to the hard partying son or daughter of a very rich oligarch living in Britain, will probably make you think that the whole of Russian youth for example are hostile to Putin, when in fact it is only the 1% of very rich kids who went to elite private schools and have money for ski trips in Switzerland.
It is even more the case with ethnic minorities who may well have had a hard time but are very prone to exaggeration and even paranoia when they have left – it is often a sensible political strategy for them. Overlooked military or ex government types are also very dangerous information sources (even worse are members of outed political parties), because they are embittered and inclined to blame others for their failure to advance. Moreover the longer the time since they were active in government, the more their accurate information sources dry up and they often invent or imagine things, partly to keep themselves relevant, but also because they are seeing it from an outdated perspective.
I am NOT blaming those [people or assuming they are lying, because it is very easy for any of us to become such (I should know) but I do blame the so called spook services for failing to check their sources and get wider knowledge.
Basically what I am saying is any information given to journalists or intelligence agencies that is not backed up by other sources who are fluent in the local language, have spent several years living and working in the nation in question and have had a job which got them out of the inner circle and away from the expat clubs and community and the hard partying of the rich and powerful is probably of very ;little value.
Sadly it seems that the USA and UK spooks in particular did not get this message. i wonder just how many actually speak Russian for example.

Pentagon says the main thrust has begun.
Main points:
1 “Main thrust; “The main thrust of Ukraine’s nearly two-month-old counteroffensive is now underway in the country’s southeast, two Pentagon officials said on Wednesday, with thousands of reinforcements pouring into the grinding battle, many of them trained and equipped by the West and, until now, held in reserve.”
2. Assault with 100 vehicles towards robotyne: And Igor Konashenkov, the Russian Defense Ministry’s chief spokesman, reported a “massive” assault and fierce battles south of Orikhiv, a town that Ukraine holds about 60 miles north of the Sea of Azov. Vladimir Rogov, an official appointed by Moscow in southern Ukraine, said the assault involved Ukrainian troops who had been trained abroad and were equipped with about 100 armored vehicles, including German-made Leopards and American-made Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
3. Russia’s strongest points: Ukrainian troops along the southern front said in interviews on Wednesday that they were steadily pushing Russian troops back, but their progress had been incremental with no major breakthroughs. They have been slowed by minefields, and some said the biggest obstacles were Russia’s withering artillery fire and airstrikes.
4. Goal is Tokmak: Ukrainian officials have told U.S. officials that the enlarged Ukrainian force would try to advance south through Russia’s minefields and other fortifications toward the city of Tokmak, and, if successful, on to Melitopol, near the coast.
5. 1 to 3 weeks: The new operation, if successful, could take one to three weeks, Ukrainian officials have told officials in Washington.
6. The Ukrainians chose this time due to Russia firing maj. General Ivan Popov: First, Ukrainian forces have been making plodding but steady progress clearing a path through the dense Russian minefields and other fortifications. Second, they sensed an opportunity with the sacking of the regional Russian commander, Maj. Gen. Ivan Popov, to exploit turmoil in the local Russian leadership. ”

This thing will be over by the end of the year. The West will be begging for negotiations.

Russian troops aren’t just resting in cozy beds in trench lines, behind defense lines defined by huge walls Ukrainian troops are pounding against. The Russian army has been trying to do troop advances like in the northeast, advances that lead to high casualty rates. And the drones and missiles won’t keep every Russian soldier from losing their lives.

Never mind Hollywood. It’s the computer games that will be made after it. When You can choose to be either the Nazi’s or Russia. The shite will stink to high heaven, you can just imagine what the story sequences will be like.

Picking up a posting name of some older poster doesn’t constitute continuous presence, but elaborate chicanery. This is particularly true of the anti-Russian crowd/troll army that works to discredit any dissenting view to the inverted totalitarianism of the Anglo-American empire and its appendages. The muppet that has infested this thread is typical of the liberal vermin that defend imperialism with pseudo-progressive/pseudo-centrist characteristics.
It also happens to a far smaller extent with pro-Russian or more precisely, pro-Kremlin trolls who show to denigrate anyone suggesting that Russian policies/tactics might need some correction, usually by presenting themselves as Russian citizens that are the only ones entitled to comment about the country and therefore defend the current course with fake superior credentials.
Usually, the proper attitude of a seriousposter is to follow the golden rule, that is,don’t feed the troll. But there is a problem when some are genuinely deceived and perceive trash like Inkanafo as someone who shares their interest in more truthful information and productive discussion.

Notwithstanding the inherent nature of pristine-engineered German Wonderweapons uncannily moving directly in front of Russian missiles and drones, you got to admire the Brits carefully designing their own tanks so they briskly reverse to get hundreds of kilometers away from Russian danger.
Perhaps the Brits could rename the Challenger to the Sloth.
As to the Mighty Mouse USSA continuing to try to weaken Russia. It is like the saw of eating an elephant 1 bite-at-a-time. The problem is Russia is a Bear, not an elephant, and that Bear is not going to let you chew on it, without you getting some heavy duty chewing on your own butt.

Absolute balderdash. The term became mainstream in 1988 after Dr. Hansen testified in a senate committee.
Climate change was not “the thing” until mid 2000’s.
Try again on someone younger, I’ve lived through multiple iterations of the climate scam and endless doom predictions from “experts.”
As to right or left supporting Putin, I’m neither and support Russia winning. I would whether Putin or no. The supposed “left” here (US) is almost indistinguishable from the right. They are the rules based order people, NPC’s really: they support mass criminal invasion by “immigrants” (invasion) LGBTQ and Western hegemony.
I am around MANY “right wing” people and I have yet to run into one that supports Russia. They normally start screaming Putin’s a dictator in no time. The right supporting Putin is myth.
I am certainly hoping to see a Russian breakthrough soon, it seems the time window for it being possible and successful is approaching.

I’m afraid I had to stop reading it when I got to this part Karlof1.
” Washington and London pay for everything out of pocket of their taxpayers. ”
Sorry
🙁
Now,if Maria had said the Euro countries taxes THEN it would have been the truth. Maria probably knew what she was doing and she was just feeding the tax payer money GROUPTHINK believed by many. However, there is no excuse for it. The lie just feeds into and spreads into everything else bad in the world. Supports the West’s narratives and framing around the economy.
Everybody fighting against this war, uses that framing for all the wrong reasons. They simply can’t help themselves. That stops knowledge moving forward. Certainly does more harm in the long run than any good.

Fully agree. It has been around for a long time … well in Internet terms of time … prior to this trolls were referred in the Yankee vernacular to as …
“Son-ofa-b1tch mother-fu€k1ng sh1tst1rrers from the arze-hole of no-where …

Sorry, but your reply doesn’t make sense. You cite the following:
“Washington and London pay for everything out of pocket of their taxpayers.”
And then say: “… the Euro countries taxes …”
Neither Washington or London are “Euro countries.”
The point she was making is that the general public finances terrorism, which is 100% correct, and it’s been like that for decades, all the way back to 1945 with the OSS aiding the OUN to reestablish itself.

“Systemic institutional decay, one of the first signs of a collapse in any society.”
Perhaps you could advise what societal events could have morphed peaceful and contented Swedes into
a people who burn up police cars?

Yeah, what peaceful Swedes they are. Who colonized and raped their neighbors and Africa for hundreds of years.
I’m sure the violence from an otherwise normal and completely law-loving people is the result of something other than accelerated global institutional degeneration in real time. It’s gotta be some external group of malefactors. We’ll definitely see abundant evidence of this someday.

A touch amusing here. Russian authorities saying, ‘we don’t need to copy Western weapons because our stuff is so much better but we’ll examine them so we can shoot them down’.

Thanks for the reference.
The endgame is becoming clearer now that we know of those two divisions. The Duma legislated a few days ago that the next draft will target Russians between ages 18 and 30 years old. Putin has said that no draft is needed until operations move to the right bank of the Dnieper. Additionally the leak of the 4400 pages plan by Nato to attack Russia makes it clear that the conflict in Ukraihe is just a first step in a wider Nato operation. Without any diplonatic solution in sight Russia needs to push the front line hundreds of kilometers away and that meana crossing the Dnieper to take Odessa.
The Ukrainian conflict would end with a diplomatic solution if it were not for those hidden Western agendas. Ukraine would still exist with a neutrality status and access to the Black sea. The diplomatic solution has been rejected by Washington and Nato and Boris Johnson last year and the rejection was repeated by Biden at the end of the Vilnius summit.
Otherwise a diversion is needed to focus the attention of the West on something more urgent so that they stop fueling this conflict and find something more productive to do for their own constituencies. Unfortubately there is still this colonial mindset in the West and the desire to push into Asia; an obsessive tought that resurface again and again …

No, shit. Really, Sherlock? Geez and I thought the Russians were simply piloting remote semi-holographic deep fake versions of themselves from behind a computer screen in luxurious apartments somewhere in Moscow.
Why do you seem to think you’re talking to complete morons here? Projection?
Again, nobody disputes that Russia is taking casualties as well, but they are not making the types of meatball human wave attacks that the Ukros were/are because they don’t really need to, even in the “north.” A casualty differential of 5-8:1 (5-8 is actually quite a range given the context) is completely ridiculous at any scale. Very few if any reports even came back that the Ukro human waves were taking 8:1 losses; in the beginnings of the conflict even that was something like 2-5:1 and same at Bahkmut.
8:1 is a fantastical lie.

karlof1@181…..well if that’s the case with who finances it in the end, then the only way people can fight back is through discretionary spending, or not spending at all as a form of personal boycott or looking inward, self sacrifice……there is that part about the useless eaters though……

Plus @inkan
Trump totally won 2020.
TRUMP 2024

You beclown yourself here.
If Trump won 2020 he is ineligible to run in 2024.
You can only serve two terms as a US President.
If you are then going to claim that doesn’t count because he is not in the White House then you are contradicting yourself and admitting Trump DID NOT WIN in 2020.
You will have to then clear something up for me – what is your definition of “Winning”?
If you mean “Trump won a moral victory in 2010” – that means ZERO to me.
If you mean Trump “actually” did win in 2020 in “every conceivable way” you will have to explain to me what institutional and authoritative safeguards did Trump put in place prior to the election to prevent it being “stolen” from him?
What were the failsafe policies Trump enacted while President to secure this “victory” in 2010 that only you know about?

Inkan asks what’s Russia’s policy? This war was started by NATO. Asking what’s Russia’s policy is a very strange way to look at things. Can you see this Inkan? One presumes under the circumstances Russia’s policy is defence. Is this within your ability to grasp?
