Another industry hollowed out by shareholder value. This time the MIC. But boy look at those dividends and without them pension funds would be imploding.
Protected and promoted by both political parties, neoliberal capitalism is a Ponzi scheme that aggressively devours everything in its path, even the industries of violence and oppression that are necessary for its continued existence.

Biswapriya Purkayast @73: “The difference is that the black kids kept pushing your friend up to fight you instead of one of the bigger kids then stepping in to take you on.”
My use of that childhood event as a metaphor for the SMO isn’t perfect, but it has that covered. If any of the older kids had stepped in then it would have become a brawl instead of a bizarre staged fight. Instead of just some primary school kids scrapping it out it would have turned into a “rumble” as such things were called back then. We would then be talking about serious injuries instead of just a bloody nose and a split lip.
To be certain, the damage to the Ukraine now is far more than just a bloody nose and a split lip. The Ukraine was perfectly willing to call it quits when things were only at the “bloody nose” stage, but then its crappy “friends” forced it back into the fight. Now the Ukraine is busted up pretty bad, and after they try to tangle one more time there won’t be anything left for the NATOadies to scrape off the ground and push back into the ring. In street fight parlance, the Ukraine is on their “last legs”.
With that said, the fight hasn’t escalated to a full-on global “rumble” yet either. We should see soon enough if any of the Ukraine’s “posse” has the requisite mix of balls and stupidity to step into the ring in place of their pulverized proxy.

I very much appreciate the insights of this former NATO official

Is Jack Teixeira the source of the misinformation or is he one of the sources?
Jack Teixeira is not an information analyst, he is a watchkeeper, a computer technician
There is no information leak, there are several information leaks.
These leaks are all channeled into Ukraine.
Jack Teixeira is at an air base that is dedicated to researching images mainly from drones of both Global Hawks and Reaper and we did not see any images obtained by drones, we did see subjects that are not even on the distribution list of the air base, from the Information Center of the National Guard.
So the information that has come out is all directed towards the Operation. A good part of that information was destined to Mc Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff. This is a disagreement between the Department of State on the one hand and the Department of Defense on the other.
The immediate effect that the disclosure of this information had on operations was the postponement of the Ukrainian offensive, because, on the one hand, it shows that the narrative does not correspond to reality. What the documents say is that not everything is ready for the counter-offensive, not enough ammo, not enough training, units are not properly consolidated and the effects of Backmut are yet to be evaluated.
The time factor favors both sides. It favors Ukraine because it allows units to consolidate; and it favors Russia because in a war of attrition like the one being waged at the moment, it is a war that favors whoever has the most artillery.

About leaks and Ukro-NATO Spring offensive.
All point to psy-op meant to make believe ukrops cant launch any credible attack upon Russian forces.
I think the opposite will prove true.
I expect use of some new tech such as sudden “mantle of silence” masking electronically ground troops move + massive air support from NATO as well as NATO manned MBTs.
Besides abt the direction of the attack, it is to be expected that movements of assault troops will be concealed by movement of lesser ones such as territorial defense…
All talk abt postponing offensive to summer point to end of April or early May onslaught.

I suspect that was correct to assume that the whining of inability to launch an offensive was fake at some point in time, but events are getting worse for prospective attack time passes on, with no offensive launched. I mean by that that USSR era towed and self propelled artillery are getting extinct, and Nato supplies lack the numbers and even quality to replace them, and to launch a large offensive. So what was fake earlier is probably turning true. They simply can’t fully arm new brigades other than at the expense of directions in Kupyansk, Seversk, Bakhmut and Avdeevka.
I expect they have and will fully arm these 12-13 mech brigades, and they will eventually launch an offensive. But by then, the Russians should, too, be ready with multiple layered defenses and perhaps they could even launch a counter attack if any spearheads make some advance.

So as we are watching the eventual fall of Ukraine, was it worth it? I feel the US overreached on Ukraine and has destroyed the western economic system. Was it worth the suffering that will happen to the Wests populations as they slide around the drain of irrelevancy and poverty. Biden will be known in history as the President that oversaw the collapse of the west. We cant fight China without putting the final nail in our power projection ability. Will their be a wider war is still unknown at this point as the US will try and avoid it if they can find another country to shoulder it for them against China and Russia. In the end we will have a broken financial system and and a massively depleted military. The US is becoming fascist and will become much worse at home as the world turns away from us.
Will all of the fallout of of our actions be worth it in the end?
we will have to wait and see but my opinion is that the US will be looked at by the world as a rouge state and even the EU will abandon the US. The war-crimes ICC scam was the worst idea as it will turn on the US in the end and Americans will become hunted down for our war-crimes. Sanctions will soon be used against the west and we will have to buy our resources in Yuan, Ruble or something else as we are broke.

Actually, the majority tubes & rocket launchers available are ex-soviet 122mm & 152mm Arty & 122mm Grads, yet the AFU has SFA munitions for ’em. Western ‘donated’ 155mm, 105mm, HIMARS et al, are doing the hard yards, yet far fewer in number & daily less so re platforms operable ongoing, and imminent collapse re western munitions supply post the temporary desperate ammunition surge depleting existing US/NATO war stocks, down to effectively, nil (zero), coming up, never to be repeated.
Seems AFU has already burned through a few of those 9-12 BDEs since Feb/Mar in a futile effort to attempt to retain Soledar, Bakhmut, Avdiivka. And the ‘western equipped’ nine BDEs were not at Mar 1st even on line to be ready by Apr30. Now ?
Empire/AFU has been continually burning through formations, manpower, materiel & resources to nil effect, passing off it’s dodgy political narrative checks that no-one can cash.

IF Poland steps into Ukraine then I’m pretty sure that Russia will take Odessa (and all the coastal water along the Black Sea that is/was Ukraine).
Posted by: Seer | Apr 14 2023 19:24 utc | 32
Poland can wait 6-12 months or a few years, have a referendum, real or fake, where they claim that border regions want to join. Hungary can do the same. No one will fight against it.
But Poland seems to want to enter Ukr right now or soon. That suggests US has other plans than Lvov. They probably want to take Odessa or something else and use clone Duda as a new proxy. Or they simply want to reach some target to fill with DU, chemicals or dirty bombs and the zombies from Ukr can’t do it.

William Gruff’s eloquent metaphor at #54 reminds me of an Andy Capp cartoon. The Brits will know about Andy Capp but not sure others will.
Anyway, the cartoon has Andy Capp and his pal Chalky leaving the pub having had a skinful. Chalky gets into a scrap with another drunk and comes off second best. As Andy Capp drags Chalky away, bruised and bleeding, Andy Capp cheers Chalky up by saying, “Don’t worry Chalky, I’ve fixed up a rematch!”
The other drunk is Russia, Chalky is Ukraine and Andy Capp, USA, UK, Poland, Canada, Germany et al.

For the West, war was the only option.

No, they always believed the almighty dollar was enough to keep Russia at heel while they prepared for further plunder. They knew well the alternative to Russia’s obedience was a civilisational, existential war, and even the most paranoid among them never thought Russia would take that one-way step out of their twisted global rules based order. But it did, and here we are. There was an almost palpable sense of shock and disbelief when western agencies started to announce that Russia was preparing to invade, they were caught with their bloomers around their ankles good and proper.

Russian AI is a lot more advanced than most believe.

I’ve seen nothing to indicate that is true but a lot of the AI stuff is open source anyway and they’re no slouches when it comes to CS work. And oh! What a future awaits – I promise you that when advanced AI, even though it’s not actually intelligence but sophisticated pattern matching and assembly, meshes with some of the up and coming innovations in the world of drones, you’ll see terrors undreamed of.

Our source in the Presidential Office said that at a meeting with Andrzej Duda, Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the format for implementing the Union of Warsaw through a referendum in Ukraine, which will be held in the DIE.
The Office of the President is preparing an information campaign to convince Ukrainians of the need for a union with Poland. It was decided not to raise all historical disagreements, but to discuss the issue of the capital and the budget in the process.

Just a quick comment about AI: the West has invested most of its AI development efforts into training AIs to share their delusions. They are trying to create AIs that have the same broken view of the world as white, middle class woketards. Not only does this slow the development of AI in the West, but it results in AI implementations as dysfunctional as the societies they are being developed in. If an insane AI is developed that is bent on destroying the world with the intention of pursuing a warped conception of “equity”, then it will definitely be birthed in the USA.
No, I’m not worried about the West achieving supremacy in AI in anything other than woke chatbots and presstitute bots.

NATO military base to be built in Moldova
A military base for the army of Moldova will be built in Chisinau. This was announced by the Minister of Defense, Anatoly Nosatiy. The base will be built to train the Moldovan army. The military facility will be built according to NATO standards. For this, foreign partners will allocate the necessary funds to Moldova.
It must be understood that this will not be a military base for the Moldovan army but a NATO base. Of course, the military personnel of the Moldovan army will be trained on it under the strict guidance of instructors from the United States and Britain.
The question of military neutrality, which the Moldovan authorities are talking about, is nothing more than just words. In principle, the leadership of Moldova does not hide the fact that it wants to abandon its neutrality.
Moldova plans to buy as many weapons as possible to train the army according to NATO standards. All this is done to counter the so-called Russian aggression.
As a result, the NATO base will be located right in Moldova, not far from Transnistria. All this poses a threat to military security and threatens to escalate the military conflict. No one has any doubts that the Moldovan army is being prepared according to the Ukrainian scenario.

The leaks don’t reveal much that close watchers of the conflict didn’t already know or strongly suspect. The only thing they really do is undermine the western political narrative. And they have the potential to embarrass the Biden regime … if it was at all concerned with reality.
If we take the story at face value it suggests very large problems in the national security state. Both a very young service member willing to steal and distribute classified material for no good reason, and poor control of that material. If he can do this, there shouldn’t be an assumption that adversaries can or are kept out of the system.
As for grand deceptions by the US, as a resident of the place I question that thesis. Nothing about the US in 2023 suggests that sort of competence. Russia and China lined up almost the whole world to support them and it caught the US by surprise (if it hadn’t then the sanctions from hell wouldn’t have been tried because everyone would know they’d fail). The US is still capable of running complex ops against its own people. If there’s a grand deception here it’s to cement the control of the dictatorship of the intelligence agencies.

The TG post above contains few excerpts from a recent Prigozhin interview, plus a link to a translation of the full interview which is a lot longer and includes the following remarks. Quoting this in isolation takes it out of context but the interview is quite long so please read the whole thing if this of interest.

Why do the Anglo-Saxons restrain Zelensky, arranging internal conflicts and slowing down the offensive? Just in order to hit the main jackpot – the collapse of Russia into many principalities. The US doesn’t need a quick war. They need a war that will convince the “deep state” and lead to its victory.
The “deep State” is a community of near-state elites that operate independently of the political leadership of the state and have close ties and their own agenda. These elites work for different masters: some for the existing authorities, some for those who have been on the run for a long time, but, thanks to their connections, they remain in their places after the elder one has fled. A typical example of the “deep state” is the opposition of Khodorkovsky, Dvorkovich, and so on. Dvorkovich, whom I have mentioned many times, who fled abroad, left behind a whole tail of scum who were under him and above him, and who are elements of this “deep state”. The “deep State” endlessly leaks information and is ready to side with any ally or enemy for the sake of its own interests. It is easy to find an approach to the deep state, because it is a sponge inside the country, which, on the one hand, is red, on the other — black, on the third — white, and on the fourth — green. And from each side, having a connection to a part of the “deep state”, you can get to its center. The Russian deep state is currently experiencing a serious crisis.
Many of those who supported the special operation yesterday are now in doubt or categorically against what is happening. Representatives of the deep state urgently want to return to their normal life, old habits and comfort. The “Deep State” is tricky and quirky, the conversation of Joseph Prigozhin is a vivid example of this. They are ready to mimic anyone. This is our inner, affectionate, cunning, bloodthirsty chameleon.
At meetings, they are silent, express their doubts. And when making decisions based on bureaucratic procedures, certain actions aimed at winning this war are hindered. Since the bureaucracy in Russia today is at an exorbitant level, it is possible to destroy any decisions of the top management aimed at winning within the framework of the “legitimate bureaucracy”. These are the internal enemies. In the theory of Alexander Beglov, this is called a “bureaucratic sieve” – a sieve that you can get into, but it is impossible to get out of there.
… (continued)

Prygohzin is now saying that ending the war here counts as a victory- exactly what I said here not too long ago.
As strange as it sounded earlier when China said there’d be peace by summer I was skeptical.
But the leaks and direct allegations of corruption show that strong factions in the US want to get back to normal.
Pryghozins statement shows strong factions in russias deep state want the same thing.
China certainly does, it hates all this self determination stuff as much as ukraine does(or did?)
It’s looking like the war will grind to a halt. Without a treaty though for territory changes there will be another one, but maybe not for a while.
Maybe everyone will just declare themselves winners? Unless ukriane has a couple secret nato divisions in their back pocket their 12 brigades are just enough to make a mess but it won’t cut the land bridge.
Russians aren’t necessarily the brightest but they can see that if they retreat again there might be a revolution. Even if their deep state wants to betray russia they can’t enjoy the fruits of it if their getting executed by peasants.

Population of Moldova is 2.6 million with half a million of that in the PMR. It’s maybe the poorest country in Europe, not much work or hope there, never was, probably every family has a relative or friend abroad. The country is poor, corrupt and I’m sure the population cynical as hell. If the country really militarizes like UKR did from 2014 I could see the entire country emptying out except pensioners. Remains to be seen, but I think “training a Moldovan army” is just a cover for building up a large western EU NATO force there. If you’re Moldovan between the ages of 16-55 you would have to have a grave case of dumbass to stick around.

But there’s a little problem. Only he claims there are 200k Ukr ready and trained for offensive, those numbers were not verified by anyone else as far as I know, not even Ukr themselves. So he says the offensive is possible, will be successful at least in the beginning if not even later, but the West delays it “After all, much more painful for Russia would be the beginning of the Ukrainian offensive with inevitable reputational losses before May 9” to offer in exchange Crimea “Preserving the existing borders for February 24, 2023 is the exchange that the United States can offer the Russian leadership today” ?
So he says a few nato tanks, most of them very old, will cause so many losses it will create “global changes in Russian society”? No wonder they’re still stuck far from their new borders and Lula and Xi tell them to give Donbass back.

“In fact, after the Sochi summit with Vladimir Putin in 2017, Sudan’s longtime dictator Omar al-Bashir famously said that Sudan would become Russia’s key to Africa,” Mohammed Elnaiem, a London-based Sudanese activist, told DW.
Back in 2017, agreements between Sudan and Russia included setting up a Russian naval base on the Red Sea, a plan which is now gaining momentum, and allowing a Russian subsidiary of the infamous private contractor Wagner Group to mine and export gold to Russia.

The psyop picks up pace:

Here’s what led to today’s clashes in Sudan
From CNN’s Nima Elbagir
The confrontation between Sudan’s Armed Forces and paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces is one that military sources say they have been bracing for.
Sudan’s military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and RSF Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, until recently, were bedfellows. They were bound together by a 2021 coup and the prior toppling of ousted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.
A CNN investigation also uncovered another link between the two men: their involvement in Russia’s exploitation of Sudan’s gold resources to fund its Ukraine war , with Dagalo’s forces also being key recipients of Russian training and weaponry.

(This must be where OoohCanada got his propaganda cue from …)
Conveniently, no mention of US mercenary groups long involvement in Sudan:

Erik Prince, the former head of the mercenary firm Blackwater, is now the CEO of Frontier Services Group (FSG), which provides logistics and aviation services to Chinese companies in Africa.
A new report from The Intercept shows that Prince has sought to retrofit agricultural planes with surveillance equipment and weapons, and export them to South Sudan. But to do so, he had to evade the detection of European countries and his own company.
FSG is a publicly traded company in Hong Kong that does not officially broker or provide defense services. In a statement issued on March 30, 2016, the company said: “FSG has had bright line policies against providing defense services involving U.S. persons or U.S. technology.”

The question really baking my noodle is how the CIA managed to light this bonfire. Who took the paycheck on the RSF or Sudan Army side?

NATO military base to be built in Moldova
A military base for the army of Moldova will be built in Chisinau.
Posted by: Down South | Apr 15 2023 14:22 utc | 115
Why?
1. If Ukraine/NATO win the war, there no threat to Moldova. If Russia wins, Moldova’s only chance to survive is neutrality. Not a safe bet, but the best one available. If Ukraine can’t beat Russia, there is no chance in hell that Moldova can.
2. Have the Moldovans, by any chance, switched on television or the internet any time over last year? Seen any images of the front lines in Ukraine? NATO may win the war they haven’t declared. Ukraine is guaranteed to loose. Lots of people, most of the infrastructure, tons of money. The only question is whether they’ll lose to Russia or to the West. Because, if they beat Russia, the West is guaranteed to present the bills for all the “aid” furnished during the war: Ukraine will have to hand over anything they own.

A key advantage of “the swamp dwellers” of the deep state/MIC is that they exist in a swamp, and that makes them hard to replace with good people.
In science fiction like Aliens, and space opera like Stark Trek TNG, we saw the Xenomorph adapt our environment to suit its needs, and the propensity of the Borg to do the same thing.
Yadda yadda yadda, in those fictional universes, the solution was to destroy not just them, but their ecology. Perhaps a metaphor for what the West has to do, as merely electing an outsider sworn to replace them has proved ineffective.

The people voted for Maia, a clone like Zely or Duda. They only get what they deserve. What they like or want is not important. One day they’ll attack Transnistria or who knows what else. Or a missile base like in Romania and Poland might appear. Bases are also very profitable, they’re paid by the losers hosting them. And a few biolabs will come later, if they don’t already have them.

In Sudan, several planes were destroyed at Khartoum airport, two people were killed TG, multiple brief vidclips.

It is alleged that one aircraft belongs to a Saudi company, the second – to the Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines .
Local media also reported that part of the Khartoum airport terminal was bombed, passengers were forced to hide in shelters.

It seems like a video of the surrender of the Egyptian military to the Sudanese special forces TG, vidclip.

Sudan, Follow the time-line.
The Government signs an agreement for the Russians to have a permanent Naval base at Port Sudan. 300 Personnel and up to five ships. A week or so later there is a “coup” against the Government.
Surprised?

Doug Hillman @131–
Thanks for your reply. It may seem so, but that wasn’t always the case–I’ve been reading that assessment for 25 years. The problem as another barfly pointed out are the Neoliberal Parasites who have a very different priority from the Neocons–they don’t care about the quality or quantity of weapons systems but the amount of graft they can rake in. If you read The Hunt for Red October, you’ll recall the source of Captain Ramius’s angst was the corruption that led to his wife’s death and lack of justice afterwards, which was projection on the part of the author Tom Clancy–such projection is a hallmark of Clancy’s works. Earlier this year I examined the open financials and shareholder reports made by the top MIC Corps and they showed no sense of urgency in dealing with their huge order backlogs, which they were counting as assets to inflate their balance sheets, which is deliberate misleading of shareholders. One of the issues written about in the report is that of ship building facilities and the skilled workforce required, both of which are shrinking (along with the upstream suppliers like steel mills and such). Note the current number of ships versus what the fleet once consisted of and what’s deemed necessary, and then the reason for the weak and very weak ratings.
I didn’t interject into the conversation about which nations subs were better because its mostly subjective until you look at the fine print and that’s what determines the fact that the USN isn’t up to the tasks it’s charged with performing.

Russian port by the Red Sea? Sudan says “yes”

Sudan’s ruling military concluded a review of an agreement with Russia to build a navy base on the Red Sea in the African country. Moscow met Sudan’s most recent demands, including providing more weapons and equipment.
Talks about a potential naval base began back in 2019 when the Sudanese authorities gave permission for Russian ships to call at Sudanese ports. The agreement was signed in secret, and was not announced until 2021.
In February 2022 Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, commander of the powerful paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, held talks with senior Russian officials in Moscow. Intriguingly, the negotiations weren’t even hindered by the October 2021 coup in Sudan, when the army overthrew the rule of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.

Sudan and Egypt and Ethiopia are also tied into an existential fight over water rights on the Nile.
Egypt has threatened war over it as well.
Tying it into the russia ukraine war?
I guess some people don’t want peace breaking out anywhere.
Verrrrry interesting especially after Egypt rocket sales got publicized as well and its interest in the brics/sco organizations.
China and Ethiopia are close, with substantial Chinese investments especially with electricity generation from the Nile source waters. I believe Egypt threatened to bomb their dam as well if they filled it. And now Egyptian planed are destroyed?
I feeling another Biden foreign policy disaster coming up, the loss of Egypt.
Which then ties into Israel and back to Russia again.
Chinese diplomacy is about to get tested big time.

Former NATO troops see ‘disarray’ in Ukrainian military – CTV

“Generations of Ukrainians” might be lost if swift changes aren’t made, US and Canadian instructors have reportedly claimed
Former NATO troops see ‘disarray’ in Ukrainian military – CTVFormer NATO troops see ‘disarray’ in Ukrainian military – CTV
A chaotic military command structure is leading to huge losses among Ukrainian troops and is causing serious doubts over the outcome of the conflict with Russia, Canada’s CTV National News has claimed, citing a report by former NATO soldiers.
The so-called ‘White Papers’ were compiled by two former high-ranking members of the US Special Forces and one former major in the Canadian Armed Forces. Each of the group has been training local forces in Ukraine for the last nine months, the broadcaster reported on Friday.
According to CTV, the papers describe Ukraine’s military command structure as being in disarray, while it further claims that the country’s military communication system is crumbling. If changes to tactics are not introduced rapidly, “generations of Ukrainians” could be lost, the document warns.
One of the authors, a former Canadian army major who chose to remain anonymous, told CTV that it was “well documented” that the Ukrainian army had suffered “huge losses with their junior officers.”

I think what Prigozhin is saying is that the conflict should be fought to conclusion but that 5th column activity is undermining genuine attempts to win so it might be better to call a halt with the current gains and then think happy thoughts about any rough edges.
On the other hand, he also said that a big setback on the battlefield could motivate the public to finally root out the 5th columnist … obviously the biggest risk for them in trying to undermine their own military.
The link to the full interview is currently broken so I can’t reread it so be certain.

Thanks for your reply. Essentially, what the MIC produces are Lemons–underperforming crap that must spend more time in the shop than on the road; and when on the road, you better have towing insurance for it will breakdown on you. That said, the Navy seems to have somewhat better lemons, but they’re old and the new ones designed to replace them look even more lemon-like.

Poland about to manufacture depleted uranium weapons InfoBRICS.org Apr14’23

This measure could lead the current conflict to a new level of escalation, with very serious consequences.
Lucas Leiroz, journalist, researcher at the Center for Geostrategic Studies, geopolitical consultant.
On April 12, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated that he wants to make his country a “service center” for US M1 Abrams tanks. These “services” would include the manufacture of depleted uranium (DU) ammunition, with the possible creation of a factory specialized in this toxic equipment in Polish territory.
“I want a service center for Abrams tanks for the whole of Europe, for maintaining their battle readiness, to be located in Poland (…) This is possible, I am in talks regarding this”, he told a journalist during an interview to local press. Also, specifically about DU weapons, he commented that Warsaw is “striving” to have an industry capable of producing them as soon as possible.
The official’s statement comes after his meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris during his last visit to Washington. On his US tour, Morawiecki visited some facilities of the US military-industrial complex, including an Army warehouse in Alabama where Abrams tanks are stationed. Apparently, this would have “inspired” him to build something similar in Poland, leading him to initiate talks in this regard with his American partners.

During WW1 the Germans managed to construct some really solid trench networks in some places. Whenever an artillery barrage started hitting them they simply retreated to under ground shelters to wait out the shells, and then manned the trenches again as soon as the shelling stopped. So the shelling was not too effective where suitable underground shelters were available throughout the trench network.
But this is nearly 100 years later, now there is ground penetrating radar available to identify the underground shelters before the barrages even start. So like 1 hour into a barrage when everyone who can has run into the underground shelters, the underground shelters can be hit with the precision guided FAB bombs to destroy them. Shelters that the FAB bombs can’t handle can be hit with iskanders or whatever one of their many bunker busting bombs the Russian’s prefer to use at that point in time.
So any trench network out in the sticks should be easy work for the Russians, there can only be so many underground structures. In an urban setting things are different as nearly every house could have a basement, but the ground penetrating radars can work at oblique angles. Yet the Russians still make heavy weather of taking trench networks out in the sticks. There are even reports that the Russia don’t like using air burst shells which clear trenches the best because they are so easy to spoof, so the Russians prefer using shells which just dig holes all over the place if they don’t actually land in a trench. Meanwhile it can’t be that difficult to put a timer on a shell, then use maths or spotters to get the right fuse length so to speak for the shells to explode like a meter or 2 above the ground and let the shrapnel clear the trenches. The Russians just aren’t taking this war seriously, it is a minor expedition to them, and they know that they can fight in this manner indefinitely while the West just can’t handle it.

The Russian economy is growing with low inflation, record low unemployment (and high employment rate). It’s no wonder Putin doesn’t want to disrupt this process, but time will tell whether they need to some more.
They will take some kind of peace deal, but only after de-nazification and regime change. They know the EU and US is domestically screwed, resulting from decrease in their currency shares of global trade. They know EU and US are sinking into more totalitarian dictatorships. The land in Ukraine isn’t that important, only as far as the borders will increase security against Nato.
Now, since Finland joined putting extra 1200km, it needs to be compensated by reducing the border with Nato in Ukraine. I think the most viable way to do that is the original idea of Novorrossiya state, and a regime changed more friendly Ukrainian state to act as buffer against Nato from Korosten to Odessa.

Alexander Kots (Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist) reports from the centre of Bakhmut
https://www.kp.ru/daily/27490.5/4748873/
Old people greet Russians with tears in their eyes, the air is filled with iron: Report by Alexander Kots from the center of Bakhmut
Ukraine lost 32,000 people in the Artyomovskaya meat grinder
– Is it ours? – the roar of a tank engine (it is difficult to confuse it with something) gradually filled the dawn silence in a couple of blocks, and just in case, I check with our escort, a Wagner PMC fighter.
We have already walked the central district of Bakhmut (Artemovsk) , approaching the western outskirts. A couple of streets away from us, stormtroopers were preparing to attack several houses in the private sector.
– Our handsome man, – the “musician” smiled.
At the end of the street, a T-90 “Breakthrough” appeared with scouts on the armor. Having caught up with us, they dismounted, and the car, having approached the intersection, turned the tower to the left, moved the barrel, aimed something and hooted, “spitting out” white smoke from the cannon. The dilapidated house behind him seemed to stagger, and crumbling bricks rattled against his helmet.
I go inside from sin away, except for the stairs, nothing has survived here. I go up to the third floor, point the camera from the window – the most modern Russian tank in urban areas looks terribly bewitching. With each shot, the stairs tremble underfoot, and the tank keeps hitting and hitting. Having fired almost all the ammunition (I counted 17 shots), he famously jumps out to the intersection, turns sharply, at the same time setting the tower on course, and gracefully retires down the street, covered by multi-storey buildings.
– It’s time for us, too, – the accompanying scout hurries. – Until the “answer” arrived.
SOMETHING EXPLODES EVERY 10 SECONDS
Thus began my second day in Artemovsk, which this time I drove from the south side. Prior to that, he came from the north and east, but it’s easier to get to the center from Experienced, a satellite city of Bakhmut, from which no stone was left unturned during the fighting. As well as from almost all villages on the way from Debaltseve. Broken huts, burnt equipment, scorched engines of the plane that crashed in Zaitsevo… Drizzling rain added gloominess to an already depressing landscape.
You look out the window and try to imagine how hard these territories were given to the assault groups. In the daily front-line reports, everything looks simple and faceless. But here you realize that at the cost of the lives of our fighters, tens of kilometers of Russian land have been liberated in recent months. After all, these are not just points on the map – huge spaces between settlements, for which the enemy clung.
Behind the wheel of a trophy right-hand drive Ford pickup truck is a cheerful joker (the guys asked not to name even their call signs). He served in the army, in the marines. At the end of the contract, even before the start of mobilization, he resigned and joined the Company.
How did you get the pickup?
Yes, he got lost. He mixed up the addresses and drove to us. He asks: “Sashko where?” We told him: “Password”. He: “Mariupol”. We: “Wrong, we have Rostov.” And that’s it, it’s standing, clapping its eyes. Thanks for the car.
We fly through Opytnoye, along a broken road that has turned into a cemetery of burned-out cars, our driver winds as if he had been involved in motorsport all his life.
“Here you have to move fast. Here, a couple of days ago, a sniper was working on this building from a long-range gunner. Therefore, the movement here is fast. There are skyscrapers ahead, from which they can work on us, – he nods forward.
It offers a view of the multi-storey Artemovsk. To the right, about 200 meters away, something explodes. Here at all something explodes every 10 seconds. You quickly get used to this background.
– Here is the center, – states our guide.
“WE DO NOT WANT TO GO TO THE OTHER SIDE”
We skip several intersections, turn into the yard, jump out of the car and slide into the basement, where the Wagner reconnaissance platoon is organized. A minute later, civilians are brought in after us. As they advance, the “musicians” take civilians out of the danger zone.
“Luda,” a woman with a small dog in her arms smiles. – Here, thanks to the guys got out . Why did you stay in the city? Firstly, we are already old, we built a house for our old age, everything was there. It was a pity to quit. Two dogs again…
The fair-haired woman has unnaturally red cheeks, on which the capillaries appeared like cobwebs. The blood rushed to his face, the pressure must have risen a lot. But she smiles happily. Although there is little joy in the situation, frankly.
– The guys came, they said – evacuation, take documents with them. For about 30 minutes they got out under fire, it was hard. But the guy who accompanied us was very nice, didn’t hurry, stopped, waited for us to come up. Thank you very much, we arrived without incident.
We are neighbors, we went out together. My father is still being dragged on a stretcher, he is wounded, – the man is trying to catch his breath. – Shrapnel shrapnel leg four days ago. We sat and waited to be evacuated only to this side, that side does not suit us. I would have been taken to the Ukrainian army. We also have pigeons, plus the parents are too heavy, so they stayed.
“I was wounded, I was treated for a month,” his elderly, but good-looking mother, Tatyana, chatters.
In his hands he pulls flowers, tearing off a leaf – Mother and stepmother and Proleska. Tore it off while they were evacuating. Protective psychological block, diverts attention from the surrounding horror. I ask how the Ukrainian “zahists” (defenders) behaved.
“Yes, we almost never saw them,” the man says. – They will jump – they will jump out. Today I went to look at the neighboring house, and there are five more soldiers sitting there – crests. They grabbed me by the pulley, I thought, that’s it, they won’t let me go. They say: “You have no faith.” I almost cry, my parents are there, I say, they are lying, I can leave. He reluctantly let go. Literally three houses away from us, they were sitting with machine guns, grenade launchers, when the guys came for us.
– They all came to us in soot, they asked for directions, how they say to move to the railway station. “How do you live here,” Tatyana Mova depicts. – That is how we live. Apparently they were kicked out and they fled, in a hurry.
What have you been doing all this time?
– Humanities mostly. Civilian volunteers opened a point with a Starlink plate, gave canned food, it was possible to go online … We have had no electricity, no water since the summer. Collected rain, melted snow.
Tatyana is from Dagestan, from Derbent. She studied in Volgograd, where she met her husband, a Soviet officer, originally from Artemovsk. They moved here after retirement. This is him now, wounded, being dragged on a stretcher by the Wagnerites.
– We have relatives in Narofominsk, Murmansk. Where will you show us? I am gray-haired, not made up. In general, I am very cheerful, I am 75 years old, – a woman surprises with her cheerfulness.
“Now we will deliver you to the evacuation center, the doctors will examine and send you further,” instructs the 53-year-old reconnaissance platoon commander, whom his subordinates often call not by call sign, but simply by Batya. – Everything terrible is behind, now everything will be fine.
They bring Tatyana’s elderly wounded husband.
– How did you get hooked?
– There was shelling, I did not have time to hide, I fell. Immediately in the arm, and in the back, and in the leg. My son and a neighbor pulled me out, if not for them, he would have bled to death.
– You served in the Soviet army. Is it hard to watch now?
– Yes, how … For me, the Soviet Union is the Motherland. Otherwise, I would not have been hiding here, not waiting for the Russians, I would have left with crests. And I was waiting, I thought you would come quickly, I have the Order of Labor Glory, – the old man’s tears well up.
The uniformed boys turn away, their jaws flexing furiously. Civilians get into a battered car, which takes them to the rear. And we, together with Batya, go for a walk in the center of Artemovsk, running across the open spaces under fire.
UKRAINIAN “VOENTORG”
Along the roads – iron anti-tank hedgehogs and concrete gouges. It seems that Kyiv was preparing to repel tank wedges. But infantry entered the city, for which these barriers are not an obstacle. Center, Freedom Square, dug around the perimeter. The defensive value of these fortifications is doubtful. They could easily be swept away by artillery from Experienced. In general, it seems that Bakhmut was not seriously prepared for defense inside in engineering terms.
– And it is, – Batya confirms, while we pass the House of Culture on the way to the City Council. – Maybe they just drank the allocated money. The soldiers were simply shoved into the houses, from which we had to knock them out. The prisoners were taken in batches.
– And why is it taking so long to liberate the city?
– Very strong resistance was on the way to Artemovsk. And then we just broke it. We reached the center from the south in two weeks. At first, the units were different, powerfully resisted. And here they put in the defense from Vinnitsa, Transcarpathia, from Nikolaev. But in general there were a lot of shouts that it was an impregnable fortress. Not so impregnable. And not a fortress. They did not even sit in the trenches dug in the center. Everyone was in residential houses, and when they left, the nine-story buildings were folded so as not to leave us heights. But even now they do not run from their positions, they resist.
The Ukrainians also blew up the City Council building to avoid unnecessary symbolism. Russian flags were hoisted over a pile of bricks, formalizing the legal capture of the city.
Dad is from Ukraine. His father and brother were killed by the “Pravoseki”, he went to the militia, fought in the LPR. And in 2016, when the “hot phase” of the confrontation subsided, he moved to Wagner. He has military experience in Africa.
– Here they had a food warehouse, – the commander of the reconnaissance platoon shows the charred inside of the house with columns on the central square. – And almost at every intersection in the basement was equipped with an ammunition station. During the retreat, they abandoned their ammunition, thanks to them for that. Once again, we do not waste time on logistics. Yes, you can come down and have a look.
In the basement – a pile of boxes. Here is a real arms international. American grenades, Czech cartridges for Kalashnikovs, Bulgarian shots for grenade launchers… All this goes into action and returns to the enemy – literally and figuratively.
– Guys, lay down on the ground, the lower, the safer, I need you alive, – in the meantime, Batya is leading the assault on the radio.
Its fighters are storming private houses in the western quarters of Artemovsk . This is the rest of the city under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We climb to the surviving high-rise, which offers a panoramic view of the battlefield. Flashes of gaps flicker in the white smoke. Shells flying in both directions rustle in the air, the cannon of our BMP bangs from the side. The air is literally stuffed with iron. On the hill opposite, a nine-story building, in which the enemy sat down, was engulfed in flames. In the back of the room, a machine gunner watches this through binoculars. In front of him, a large-caliber machine gun peers through a broken window.
– The enemy (in fact, it is called obscenely synonymous with the word “gay”, and the other side uses the same epithet in relation to “musicians) has two 200s and two 300s (killed and wounded. – Ed.), They say sometimes they want to give up, sometimes they don’t want to, – his walkie-talkie wheezes.
“Well, they don’t want to, let them burn,” someone answers phlegmatically.
There is no time for sentiment. Either you or you. No one will take unnecessary risks. The stage of chivalry has long passed.
– We support our guys, if you need to sort out some positions, – the machine gunner explains. – We work at different distances, we had to 2.5 kilometers. The machine works well – DShK, the good old machine, helps out. The main thing is accurate, albeit old.
Shoulder not fall off?
– Normally, compared to the “Kord” or “Cliff” there is almost no return. The main thing is to install properly.
FORMER CONS FIGHT COURAGELY
An evacuation team is on duty in the basement of a neighboring building. Their task is to pull the wounded out from under fire.
– Stormtroopers also help us, we all interact, – the commander of the evacuation group meets us. – Our fighters can both fight and provide first aid, they have mastered it in the training camp. In addition to ours, we are also withdrawing civilians. Most of us are glad to see, they meet us with smiles. The enemy, by the way, does not stop firing during the evacuation of civilians. Just recently, grandparents were pulled out, taken out from under fire. On the other side, the grandmother was killed by machine gun fire. It happens that the soldiers of the evacuation teams die, not without it.
– What is the algorithm of your work?
– Algorithms are only in books. Here you drag the fighter as long as you can. The guys come running to help. There is no such thing that you have a certain segment, then you quit and left. You pull on your hands as long as you have the strength. Rewind, stop the bleeding, give painkillers. Then we pass it on to the medical services. They are transported to the rear. During my service, no one died in my arms.
– How long have you been fighting?
– Here since December, 17th.
– What did you do before that?
– I’m in the Project, – he is a little embarrassed.
The project here is called the recruitment of former prisoners from places of deprivation of liberty. The recruits themselves are called “designers”.
– What did he sit for, if not a secret?
– For terrible things … Reluctance even to speak. Weapons, shootouts, fights…
Batya says that those recruited from the colonies fight bravely, and many, after being pardoned, return to a second contract.
– I am very proud that one of the fighters of my platoon, a former prisoner, received a state award personally from the hands of the president, – the commander of the reconnaissance platoon admits.
BREAKTHROUGH T-90
Following the tank that worked on the enemy, we leave Bakhmut to the rear waiting area. The rear – conditionally, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to process the ways of approach to Artemovsk. But he does it already without a spark, doomed. We are interested in the details of the morning sortie with the crew commander.
– The enemy has a dominant height there, ours are in a lowland, he is watching us. It was necessary to demolish the building on which the cameras are standing, watching our movements, – he explains casually. – We demolished the upper floor, below the trees interfere, but they threw cumulative ones there, I think they liked it.
– Is there any rethinking of the use of tanks here?
– Certainly. If earlier the tank was the main striking force of the Ground Forces, now it is more of a means of supporting the infantry. Tactics have changed dramatically. With the modern saturation of the front edge with anti-tank weapons, there can be no powerful breakthroughs in technology. They have both NLAW and Javelins – a lot of money, we will immediately lose the car. The infantry goes forward, stumbled upon resistance, we drive up, work out, attack aircraft move on.
– How long have you been fighting on the T-90 “Breakthrough”?
– Seventh month.
– A tenacious car, what’s the secret?
– I won’t reveal everything. We don’t jump out at a fool, first you will walk on your own legs, look, and determine the escape routes. You will agree with the infantry, you will establish cooperation, how they will cover you. Only after that you go to the firing position. The car is expensive, it’s a pity to lose it.
– How long have you been with the Company?
– Since last April. I also took Popasnaya. I sat at home, watched on the Internet how our troops acted, and just wanted to help. Not for money – for the idea.
– Have you served before?
– Yes, I rose to the rank of senior officer, 23 years of “calendars”, 30 years of total service, retired in 2020. I try to complete tasks 100%. Never broke down. I have an old tank from June, for a thousand shots – not a single delay or misfire. We monitor the situation thoroughly. They rely on you, you cannot fail.
– How do you rate the T-90?
– A very good car, especially when there is something to compare with. Compared to the T-72B3, there is more space, a commander’s multi-channel sight was installed, there is a thermal imaging channel independent of the gunner, a rangefinder channel, an optical channel, and a television channel. A closed anti-aircraft installation is generally a bomb, especially in the city: the gunner works on his targets from a cannon, and you twist around the upper floors so that, God forbid, they don’t get out and get caught. There are, of course, shortcomings, but we have a connection with Uralvagonzavod, which is working on all the shortcomings.
Two helicopters come overhead to attack, sending missiles in the direction of the enemy from a pitch-up. The sky is cut by the black trail of their footprints. A few seconds later, explosions are heard somewhere in the distance. Despite the fact that our forces already control more than 80 percent of Bakhmut, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist – Kyiv will not dare to give the command to withdraw its troops. According to the latest data from the Wagnerites, Ukraine lost 32,000 people killed in the Artyomov meat grinder.

@143 There is still the pretense in Washington that the cost overruns and under-performance of new weapons systems are inadvertent. To the contrary, the defense contractors have perfected a form of racketeering that maximizes their profits. Once the Pentagon in on the hook for a project, the contractor can miss deadlines and impose additional costs, running up the profits on the contract. Because the contractors have bought the politicians which “oversee” defense procurement and they have promised the military leaders cushy jobs after retirement, there is no hope of reform. Thus, the U.S. is pursuing a kind of unilateral disarmament through corruption.

Komsomolskaya Pravda has a big article on the ‘Dagger’ attack in March on a NATO bunker in Lvov, where 200 NATO officers got killed. There are no videos or photos added.
https://www.kp.ru/daily/27490.5/4748875/
“The catastrophe of NATO forces in Ukraine”: Russia pushed back the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with one blow of the “Dagger” on a secret bunker
Russian hypersonic missiles “Dagger” destroyed a secret bunker with 200 officers of NATO and the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The military departments of the USA, Great Britain, Poland and some other NATO countries prefer not to stutter even a word about what happened in early March near Lvov. And when corrosive journalists, who got wind of the terrible state of emergency , ask generals and politicians questions about it, they receive either “know comments” or crafty references to “ignorance” about what happened in response. But nevertheless, the “awl from the bag” still begins to crawl out. Information is increasingly leaking into the Western and Ukrainian press, as well as into social networks from various sources, which are very well matched in detail and allow us to present a reliable scenario for an extremely painful drama (even tragedy) for NATO and its allies.
NATO officers’ bunker
And the scenario looks like this. Near Lviv, at a depth of a hundred meters, there was a reserve command post of the former Carpathian military district. This secret facility, well protected and equipped with modern communication systems, was chosen by NATO generals and colonels when, with the outbreak of hostilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass (2014), they decided to move to the Ukrainian rear, where it was more convenient to advise the Kiev allies and develop plans of operations together with them. The secret underground point also instilled a sense of security in the “consultants” even after Moscow, with the start of its special military operation, promised to strike at decision-making points. In fact, it was a joint command and control headquarters, consisting of NATO representatives, as well as officers of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of its armed forces. In addition, this headquarters was very tightly covered by air defense systems, which further added to its “inhabitants” confidence in their safety.
Probably for this reason, the sense of vigilance was also lost – sometimes dozens of cars gathered at the entrance to the headquarters even in broad daylight, which did not go unnoticed by our space, aviation and undercover intelligence. And by the beginning of March, the Russian General Staff already knew that both in the “dungeon” and in Kyiv, the development of an offensive plan for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was in full swing. It only remained to determine the most advantageous moment to strike at the lair of the NATO “branch” in the Lviv region and carefully work out the flight tasks of our hypersonic “Daggers”. And, of course, to thoroughly (up to a minute) calculate the take-off time of the Kinzhal carriers (MiG-31 fighters), the launch line of these missiles (without entering the enemy’s air defense zone) and the “instant” of hitting the target.
“Daggers” completed the task
Why were the “Daggers” chosen? Yes, because such a bunker is invulnerable to conventional missiles. And there was no point in sending bombers for strikes even with 1.5-ton or five-ton bombs: the Ukrainians could shoot down the planes, and hitting the “peg” would hardly have happened. And launched even from a distance of 2 thousand kilometers, the “Dagger” (warhead – 500 kg!) Goes to the target at a crazy speed (10 or even 15 times faster than sound!) – while there are no such air defense systems in the world that could intercept it . And also the “Dagger” is a high-precision, sniper weapon – it has a deviation from the center of the target – only 1 meter! He jumped into the “well” of the entrance group for many tens of meters, and after him another … And this, consider, a ton of explosives!
“The catastrophe of NATO forces in Ukraine”
Of the “teachers and students” who were in the dungeon, no one survived . And there were more than 200 of them. Including, say some “informed” Western journalists, several American generals and senior officers. And also – British, Polish, Ukrainian.
And here is the very “awl from the bag”, which I already mentioned. The Greek portal Pronews , which is close to the Ministry of Defense of its country , claimed that “dozens of foreign officers were killed when the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles hit the joint Ukrainian-NATO command and communications center. This was “a disaster for NATO forces in Ukraine.”
And that is not all. Some Kiev sites have also blabbed: after the emergency, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were called to the carpet at the US Embassy , where they were reprimanded “for the poor security of the control center”, and at the same time handed over a list of the dead senior and senior American officers and ordered “to get them at least from underground.” The corpses of those who died from explosions and suffocated in a frenzy are still being dug up …
So far, according to the “leaks” in Ukrainian social networks, it can be judged that only 40 bodies have been recovered from under the ruins of the destroyed center. The rest of the dead are still buried under the rubble.
Officially
And here it is impossible not to recall that on March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a modest message on its official Telegram channel stating that in response to the terrorist actions organized by the Kiev regime in the Bryansk region on March 2, the Russian army launched a massive “retaliation strike.” The ministry emphasized that the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system was used.
By the way, this “retribution strike”, according to the director of the Institute for the Study of National Crises Nikolai Sorokin , had other consequences. He believes that the destruction of the “think tank” of the upcoming Ukrainian offensive could well slow it down. This version has its own reason. The offensive is still delayed. Maybe, according to ritual custom, they wait 40 days from the date of death? …
But why are the capitals of the NATO countries keeping quiet about the terrible state of emergency? Most likely because they are “ashamed” to admit a biting slap from Moscow . Or because it could be an open recognition of the active participation of NATO troops in the hostilities against Russia.

It’s Time to Bring Back the Polish-Lithuanian Union
“Imagine instead that, at the end of the war, Poland and Ukraine form a common federal or confederal state, merging their foreign and defense policies and bringing Ukraine into the EU and NATO almost instantly. The Polish-Ukrainian Union would become the second-largest country in the EU and arguably its largest military power, providing more than an adequate counterweight to the Franco-German tandem—something that the EU is sorely missing after Brexit.”
As a French citizen, I really feel “le dindon de la farce” being taken along for the ride…
The US is reshaping the entire Europe, solely for its own benefit. Not a word in the French media, not a word among the entire French political landscape.
Putin warned us. It’s happening right before my eyes.

A 500kg Dagger can have up to 20-30x kinetic energy compared to a, say, 2000kg bunker buster gravity bomb. No doubt it has the ability to crack a very deep bunker, if it has the proper hardener.

National Guard of Ukraine against the Armed Forces of Ukraine?
We have been hearing a lot lately about the formation in Ukraine of the so-called “offensive guard”, which should be based on 9 brigades of the National Guard, subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. It is reported that 8 brigades have already been formed. These brigades will be armed mainly with Western equipment.
The “creators” of the so-called “offensive guard” assume that it will be based on police officers, as well as “highly motivated” volunteers. But as you know, the main driving force for such volunteers is money, so let’s pay a little attention to this.
As it became known, the monthly salary of an ordinary NGU and the national police is about 900 dollars, while an ordinary UAF receives about 500 dollars. For direct participation in hostilities, NSU receives about 4.5 thousand dollars, and in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – 3 thousand dollars. If a serviceman is in a combat zone but does not directly participate in them, then NSU pays about 1.8-2 thousand dollars, and in the Armed Forces – 1.1-1.2 thousand dollars. The difference, as they say, is obvious. And this difference is quite significant.
In this case, we will not drown for justice. However, the question “Why such a difference?” is justified.
The answer is the most obvious because these are assault brigades, which will a priori suffer heavy losses during the course of hostilities. And in order to somehow motivate people, they are paid much more than the rest. It’s logical, but do the regular troops of Ukraine constantly sit out in the rear? Don’t they bear the brunt of the war? The percentage of casualties among the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is much higher than in the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. And sooner or later, all these brigades of the “Offensive Guard” will be ground to pieces at the front if they are constantly brought into battle. And in that case, why do we need the whole campaign to create it?
Most likely, this “guard” will have broader tasks. It is possible that as part of the PR, some brigades will be thrown into the gap, and someone will be sent in dangerous directions to deter the offensive of Russian troops. But if the backbone of these brigades are employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as notorious nationalists, then it is logical to assume that police functions will be assigned to them in the first place. Who else can be entrusted with the functions of “blocking detachments”, the tasks of restoring “order” in the rebellious units of the regular troops, and identifying “accomplices of the Russian occupiers” among the civilian population?
Apparently, soon the Ukrainian policemen will have to work out a significant difference in monetary allowance, but not at all on the front line.

When transporting the body of a Polish mercenary who died in Ukraine to his homeland, it turned out that in the coffin, along with the remains, there was also a package with 30 kilograms of drugs.
A similar “appendage” was in the coffin of the dead British soldier. It became clear that in Ukraine there is a whole system of transporting narcotic drugs to Europe in coffins with dead “soldiers of fortune”.
At the moment, the SBU and the Polish counterintelligence SKE (Służba Kontrwywiadu Wojskowego) are involved in the situation and are tasked with hushing up the scandal as quickly as possible.
The key question is the origin of drugs. Are they produced in laboratories on the territory of Ukraine or do they stay there along with arms shipments from American bases and warehouses and are already repacked there and sent with the corpses of mercenaries around Europe. The circuit is reliable. containers with bodies that do not pass special inspection and are moved at high speed by special vehicles.

Well, just as I thought Germany could not sink any lower then along comes Baerbock foot in mouth without any seeming care about diplomacy, fostering good relationships and, more importantly, without any significant, truthful view about the Ukraine conflict. My God, she’s not only pure vitriol but is so delusional and drunk with power that she can only see herself, nobody or nothing else matters.
Well, Baerbock, here’s a news flash for you. You are nothing more than the Foreign Secretary of Germany. A pseudo Green Party Candidate but with delusions of WEF total power and world domination. Welcome to your and your country’s Past. Now, does Germany have a history of Chancellors and Politicians who have serious delusions about dominating the World? Yes! What a truly pathetic individual you are. A so called Green Party candidate but a serious warmonger. A Foreign Secretary who sees fit to lecture, in the worst, untruthful terms possible, Leaders of other Sovereign Nations. Take a look at yourself. Self-appointed Arbiter of stating the EU was at War with Russia. The idiotic 360 degree response to a question. I sincerely hope that with Politicians like you, Habeck and Chancellor Scholz at the helm of Germany you will revisit Hell – i.e. the Weimar Republic, de-industrialisation and total collapse. I do not wish these things lightly or willingly as it is not my style to be vindictive but you, you are an utterly ridiculous politician, way out of her league on the international stage and no knowledge or interest in the way Diplomacy is conducted.
God Bless Xi Jing Pin and President Putin. They are the Adults in the room. You are now an irrelevance in international affairs and, thanks to you Habeck and Scholz, so is Germany.

I am so sick of this site’s goddamn filter. I have tried three times now under both of my usernames to get a post explaining Jack Teixera’s job qualifications and I just can’t get it past the filter.
Go look up what his job description was. He was a “hardware monkey”, not a system administrator. Here is a Washington Air National Guard
Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Job Announcement which describes the job in detail (PDF download):
https://www.wads.ang.af.mil/Portals/53/21-136-ANG%20Cyber%20Transport%20Sys%20Jymn%203D152%20SSgt%20%281%29.pdf
People talking about Snowden don’t realize that Snowden had “full administrator access” to everything in the NSA network. He was not a “hardware monkey”.
I call bullshit. If this guy had any involvement at all, he was provided it by someone higher up who did have such access. He may be covering for them. Or he may, as others have suggested, simply be part of the scam – whatever that scam proves to be.
I’m leaning toward accepting the theory that the Pentagon – or someone in DoD Intelligence – organized this as a revolt against Biden and the neocons, and this guy is part of that operation or is a patsy for that operation. If he is the former, he will cover for the operation on promise of somehow being kept out of jail. If he is a patsy, he won’t know enough to compromise whoever organized the operation and he will do time.
This is the only theory that actually fits the probabilities.

Alastair Crooke in his al-Mayadeen column puts into words the paradox we’re witnessing, “US’ Rising Anxiety as Russia Survives Attrition by the Entirety of NATO”. Crooke cites a long segment written by the former editor-in-chief of China’s Global Times, Hu Xijin, of which this paragraph is the key outtake:

“The West has found it much more difficult than expected, to defeat Russia. They know that China has not provided military aid to Russia. But the question that haunts them is this: If Russia alone, is already so difficult to deal with, what if China really starts to provide military aid to Russia, using its massive industrial capabilities for the Russian military? Russia alone … is more than a match for the Collective West. If they [the West] really forces China and Russia to join hands militarily – the question that haunts them is that the West will no longer be able to do as it pleases. Russia and China together, would have the power to check the US”. [Emphasis Original]

Crooke believes this provokes a paradox for the Chinese as there appears to be an absence of rationality. I don’t see it that way. I see a massive failure to attain the planned–assured–outcome causing a massive infighting blame-game amidst continued–failed–doubling down on the already failed policy since there was never a Plan B. Accusing China is mere optics/narrative in an attempt to shift blame elsewhere: Instead of Russia’s Fault, it’s now China’s Fault. And to top this massive failure we now have LeakGate that’s yet another attempt to shift the blame with the victim being a proxy for the entire US Military.
There’s one very important thing the Outlaw US Empire will never admit/confess: It Lost a War. Afterall, the Empire won WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, along with other pseudo triumphs–all of which are Lies, except perhaps WW1 as Hindenburg confessed To George Seldes in an interview censored by the Allies that it was the arrival of the US Army into the war that altered the balance of forces and made continuing the war senseless.
The Mafiosi will never submit to a deal for a smaller piece of the action and will fight to the last to stay on top of the hill. It’s that illogical behavior that China has problems coming to grips with. One might say it’s the difference between Risk and Go, but I see it as behavior similar to that of the Romans whose Empire the USA’s Founders admired and sought to emulate.
This brings up an important question: Does Biden know how badly his gambit has failed or is he also being lied to? I see the leak as a way to dispel the lies and force the choice to retreat, and I’m not alone thinking that.

I picked this up from Pepe Escobar’s Telegram:

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva addressed the U.S. authorities with a demand to stop “warming up” the conflict in Ukraine and start searching for its peaceful resolution. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists before his flight from Beijing.
💬 “It is necessary that the U.S. stop warming up the conflict and start talking about peace,” he said.
💬 How can we achieve peace in Russia and Ukraine if no one talks about peace? If all we talk about is war? How can we send Ukraine more weapons? And hit Russia? And bring NATO even closer to Russia? Who should we turn to? The countries that want peace! China wants peace. Brazil, Indonesia and India. We need to unite and come up with a peace plan for Russia and Ukraine. The EU has always played an important role as a center of balance and has not been directly involved in conflicts. Now it is taking part! When German Chancellor Olaf Scholz came to Brazil and asked to sell him our missiles to send to Ukraine, I said: “I won’t sell!” Because Brazil doesn’t want to be part of this war. We want peace. <...> It’s not even a question of wanting. We all need peace. [My Emphasis]

In so few words, the crux of the matter is displayed. Russia wanted to have peace as did those in Donbas which is why Minsk 1&2. But NATO/Outlaw US Empire didn’t want peace but war as its actions prove and continue to prove. The entire world knows Russia’s willing to negotiate but the Outlaw US Empire forbids any negotiations over Ukraine as Russia must be defeated. Clearly the policy has massively failed, but such failure cannot be admitted; so, the failed policy continues. A poor, likely innocent, young man was framed in an attempt to get the failed policy altered–but note no media has uttered/printed the phrase: “The Ukraine policy has failed.” How many more will be slaughtered for this failed policy. Didn’t John Kerry say something in relation to that back during Vietnam? IMO, even the trolls know the policy has failed utterly.

…and appoint someone (R F Kennedy Jr?) who might have some chance of winning 2024.

If the DNC was that horrified about Bernie they’ll be even more worried about RFK Jr. Granted RFK Jr. gave his full blessing for his son to go play mercenary in Ukraine. To be cynical I’d say it’s a way to get some military cred in his background while avoiding real militarily service should he ever go into politics. But to be fair from RFK Jr’s interviews the son’s commitment seemed pretty genuine.
Still, for now RFK Jr. has my support, he’s sane and not senile and understands the danger of the deep state. He also has a family legacy to do everything possible to avoid a nuclear war. If any Kennedy causes nuclear destruction my money is on Joe Kennedy III.

Do they know their Grand Ukraine Adventure has failed?
Yes-no-yes-no-yes-yes-no.
That’s what all the increasingly obvious dissension within the US and USNATO is about.
Bakhmut was their “more cowbell” moment, to reference Larry Johnson.. more weapons, more men, more intel, more… more.
Some here posted the leaks were “boring”. “Nothinburger”; Some were unable to parse between “authentic” and “accurate”.
What enlivened a number of us was the *authentic* leaks provided a sobering insight into the dubious *calibre* of the leaks…. Was this intel really what is being fed to JCS /WH ???
Whoa. *That’s* what the Sullivan panic was about…. They’d been exposed cooking the intel books… multi-millions of USD $$ and weapons can go missing in the Ukrainian blackhole … most of it recycles back to the Cookie Cabal in the US, so it’s of little concern.
But that exposure … that the quality of the intel reaching upper echelons was so flawed is what rattled ISW+Sullivan.
Just as with 9/11, we are directed to focus on the *how* of the leak… “how could a kid get this”, rather than the *why* and *who* behind the leaks.
I’m sticking with my own hypothesis that the leaks originated or were notarised by the camarilla of the DNI.
Avril Haines is Team Obama. She was placed in the DNI role by Team Obama, so they could spy on Team Biden. Its a snake pit, and reptiles eat each other without compunction.
What would Haines and Team Obama gain by exposing the shoddy Nuland intel being fed to JCS ?
To date ISW/Team Nuland has tightly controlled Ukraine related intel.
They’ve operated a sophisticated network of the ISW+think tanks+Maxar+”independent experts” (McFaul/Kofman/RobLee) … and the corporate media.
Team Nuland(ISW) has “owned” the Ukraine information/intel “space”.
And now, as Bakhmut falls, The Leak.
The timing is obvious. If the leak was under the auspices of DNI … does Team Obama want to cut and run?
Obama lost Crimea. Obama lost Syria. Team Obama negotiated JCPOA; Team Obama seems to have a more realistic appreciation of Russia’s real “red lines”.
Team Nuland seem to be the type who will fight until the soil is salted and there’s not a pebble left to throw at the foe.
Team Obama is more pragmatic. They’ll pretend to walk away, but come back later, with a better offer($$), or better weapons.. Their ultimate objectives are not diametrically opposed to Team Nuland, but their fighting style is more sleaze and subterfuge, Team Nuland is smash, smash smash, and when that fails, smash smash smash and keep smashing,
Who leaked the leaks, and what was the objective?
The six degrees of separation that link Pat Seh to DNI …. That’s what I’m monitoring for.

Melaleuca @189–
Yes, it seems that way, but the question must be asked. By the way, I closely cared for an Alzheimer’s inflicted person until she died–my mother–and she’d surprise me with what her mind still retained, and Biden isn’t anywhere near the 5th most critical stage of that disease, if that is indeed what he has.

Condolences for your mother..
Biden may not have full Alzheimer’s.
But he’s had 50+ years as a senator.
Being coddled and controlled, cushioned and cosseted.
He’s never really had to be fully on top of anything, been allowed to be too lazy to really read his briefing papers. Been free to allow others to run interference for him, smooth the way ahead.
What he’s excelled at… he’s had that rodent ability to sniff out the cheese and profit.. and post 2014 Ukraine has been the ultimate multilayered corruption.
That’s what Trump failed to grasp… just how wide and deep and excessive the corruption that was “Ukraine”.
And it’s not like Trump was unfamiliar with corruption.
He was a NYC property developer AND a TV celebrity. !

Who leaked The Leak; what objective?
[me: Team Obama. Objective: Back off, buy some time. Come at Russia again in 2-5 years. Post Putin.

The foolishness of that UAF soldier is head-scratching … but the ignorance and delusions of the low-information Reddit commenters on that thread is nothing short of breathtaking.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ War Map and the Situation on the Fronts in the Evening of 15 Apr 2023; pub. 00:05⚡️
🇷🇺 For peace in the Russian Land – this is the prayer that will be performed by Patriarch Kirill of #Moscow and All Russia on the day of the Resurrection of Christ. It is true that the main goal of all Orthodox Christians is peace. The one which Russian warriors in #Ukraine are fighting for.
⚔️ Situation on the Fronts for the past Day
🔹#Svatovo – #Kremennaya Direction:
➖ The Russian army is advancing towards #Belogorovka.
➖ There are positional battles in #Serebryanskoye forestry.
➖ Also our artillery has struck at the positions of militants near #Tabayevka, #Masyutovka, #Dvurechnaya and Krasnoye Pervoye (Liman1).
🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:
▪️ “Orchestrators” are advancing to the west of #Artyomovsk, fighting is going on behind the railway branch line. In addition, our fighters have seized two blocks in the north and south of the city. The AFU are deliberately destroying residential buildings and the city’s infrastructure during their retreat. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported support to the “bandwagon”, airborne troops are restraining the enemy on the flanks.
🔹#Donetsk Direction:
➖ In the #Avdeyevka sector, our fighters are advancing in the area of #Steponoye (#Petrovskoye), #Severnoye and #Pervomayskoye.
➖ Russian forces continue to storm the western part of #Maryinka, as well as #Pobeda and #Novomikhaylovka.
🔹#Ugledar Section of #Donetsk Direction:
▪️ The Russian army is successfully advancing near #Nikolskoye, southeast of #Ugledar. The Russian Ministry of Defence also reported strikes on AFU positions near #Nowomikhaylovka and #Ugledar.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💀 Military Expert Boris Rozhin on the Situation in the #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector as of 23:44 Moscow Time on 15 April 2023⚡️
🔹1. Wagner PMC assault squads continue to advance in the city south of the industrial zone of the #AZOM plant and in the northwestern neighbourhoods.
▪️ The enemy is already being pushed back in the area of multistory buildings. Blowing up houses does not help the enemy much in stabilising the situation.
▪️ The Wagner PMC is also advancing in the area of the Railway Station and in southwestern neighbourhoods.
▪️ On an average day, the enemy loses 2-3 blocks and several hundred people killed and wounded.
🔹2. Roads to #Artyomovsk are still under the fire control of the Airborne Forces and PMC Wagner. The number of destroyed equipment to the west of the city continues to multiply.
🔥 The roads are shelled not only by artillery, but also by mortars and ATGMs. They cannot be unblocked by the enemy. Deteriorating weather makes it difficult for the enemy to mount an effective counteroffensive.
🔹3. The RF Armed Forces continue strikes against the enemy’s operational reserves in #Kramatorsk, #Slavyansk, #Druzhkovka, #Konstantinovka, as well as routinely processing Chasov Yar.

Kadyrov:
Five Chechen fighters returned to Grozny today from Ukrainian captivity.
Journalists asked me what I think about this. I believe that a Chechen soldier should have no reason to be captured. Excuses may be different, but be that as it may, the warrior must prove that he had no other choice. And you need to prove it by returning to the front line.
That’s why I didn’t meet with the returnees. This is a matter of honor not only for an individual fighter, but also a matter of honor for the entire unit, the entire regiment in which the fighters serve. Let them prove that they did not avoid battle, were not afraid to meet the enemy and did not look for an opportunity to lay down their arms and save themselves from bullets.
An illustrative example was demonstrated by Kirgiz Musikhanov, who was wounded, captured, but returned, healed his wounds and again went into the thick of battles as part of the Akhmat special forces, showing good results .
Of course, captivity is not a crime. I understand. And we are glad that the fighters survived. An hour before their capture, they communicated by radio and reported that they were running out of ammunition. But every warrior must not just shoot randomly, but think over every shot, take care of every cartridge. I realize that this is also my fault, that they were not sufficiently prepared for such a situation and did not fully understand that a fighter should plan his ammunition load. But now the guys have a chance to prove to themselves, their comrades, the commander and the whole country that this was a forced step. What an oath, duty and honor above all!

Dear subscribers,
As you may or may not know recently I have been the subject of a number of accusations the so-called North Atlantic Fellas Organization. We nickname them the ‘shibas’ because they use animated Shiba Inus as their avatars. Unlike the dog counterpart these people are anything but cute, faithful companions. In this instance – they have gone beyond taunting and blocking to alleging loudly criminal activity and far worse from my point of view they have released my private documents and pictures of my daughter as a means of doxxing me.
I don’t care about them finding pictures of me – I came out with one of those last year. I do care though that they are going after my family.
I am going to now address some things starting with what I am accused of. I am accused of ‘stealing money.’ This is very strange. For a start ever since I started the Twitter username and the Telegram channel the commentary I started doing myself – and then what I started doing with a team – the content, the commentary has been open and free to the public. To the extent there has ever been anything involved with money it has been a paid subscription to locals or through a merchandise shop. Those things are accessed and contributed to only on choice.
The t-shirts in question were delivered and made only a small profit per item. The money went to helping run the costs of the channel – for example by purchasing higher powered microphones for the podcasts so myself and the team could provide a better quality of audio recording for all of our listeners.
Part One

https://t.me/DDGeopolitics/55368

Part Two
I also understand that some are alleging that when I worked for Uncle Sam that I leaked classified documents. Well – that is a little rich. As people can see from what is going on with Jack Teixera, I would not have been tweeting anything because unauthorized disclosure of classified documents is a federal offense – for a good reason – and that is met with a prison sentence.
I am at liberty because I did not and I have not committed such a crime. As for being the alleged source of the leak, the channel did not solicit for these documents. The initial post that Bellingcat has seized on was – as we have covered – a set of screenshots sent to one of the admins. When I realized what had happened, I deleted the post and the admin who posted them has been disciplined.
The least important thing that has been said is that I am not Russian at all and just an American pretending to be Russian. Well, I have never pretended to be actually living in Russia and in numerous twitter spaces and podcasts I have made clear that my family moved to the United States when I was very young and I speak English as my first language.
I have also had the opportunity to work in countries other than the United States. I have never hidden this or pretended otherwise. I am also a woman who is proud of being Russian and Jewish, and of the country and its people.
I also ask those posting pictures of my family to cease and desist. In some instances there have been clear implications in the posts you have that I should commit suicide. What you are doing is not just vile. It is illegal. To my understanding, under USC § 2261A – it qualifies as stalking. You think you are identifying how I might have violated federal law. You HAVE violated federal law. I suggest you stop right now.
That is all.

🤣Rotten Leopard: Zaluzhny reported to Zelensky about the low quality of Western technology
Ukrainian media reports, citing a source in the OP, that Zaluzhny reported to Zelensky about the low quality of the equipment supplied by the West in the last batches.
Several Leopard tanks failed during the first run-in. At the same time, the supplied shells for artillery are of poor quality, some of them are more than 30 years old.
