'Peace In The Middle East? That's A Threat.'

Thanks to China's and Russia's mediation peace is breaking out in the Middle East.

Elijah J. Magnier @ejmalrai - 4:14 UTC · Apr 8, 2023

#BreakingNews:

The United Arab Emirates has begun withdrawing its forces from #Yemen. The Saudi-Emirati-Yemenite agreement will be announced soon.

The Middle East is solving its conflicts without the #US negative impact.

Elijah J. Magnier @ejmalrai · Apr 7
Great news:
#SaudiArabia will announce the end of the war in #Yemen after the Eid al-Fitr. Saudi is ending all its (high/low) conflicts in the Middle East with #Iran, #Syria, #Iraq, #Yemen & #Lebanon(not interested in the country for now) to turn towards its own development. ...

Peace will also come to Syria. The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia will soon visit Damascus. He will invite Syria to rejoin the Arab League. An Arab League summit will be held next month in Saudi Arabia and the Syrian president Bashar al Assad is expected to be there.

This comes after agreements between Iran and Saudi Arabia to bury the hatchet and after agreements between Iraq and Iran to reign in a Kurdish uprising in Iran that was controlled by Kurdish forces in Iraq.

'We can't have that', says U.S. president Joe Biden. He sent CIA director Bill Burns to Saudi Arabia to threaten consequences:

CIA Director Bill Burns made an unannounced trip to Saudi Arabia this week where he reportedly aired Washington's frustrations over Riyadh's opening to Iran and Syria through mediation brokered by US rivals China and Russia.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a US official confirmed the trip to Al-Monitor. “Director Burns traveled to Saudi Arabia where he met with intelligence counterparts and country leaders on issues of shared interest," the US official said.

The official did not disclose the exact day of the trip but said that Burns discussed intelligence cooperation, especially in the area of counterterrorism. The CIA director met the country's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Burns likely threatened to withhold U.S. intelligence on terrorist groups from the Saudis. The CIA could additionally push some of its ISIS assets to make some nasty appearances in Saudi Arabia to then offer 'help' to 'fight terrorism'.

I do not think that this will work. The Saudis have had enough of U.S. interference in their region. They are looking for development and development requires peace.

Thus the U.S. is upping its threat:

The US Navy deployed a nuclear-powered submarine capable of carrying 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Middle East waters via the Suez Canal, a spokesperson revealed Saturday.

The Pentagon's rare disclosure of the location of one of its Ohio-class submarines came amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran after an American military contractor was killed by a drone attack on a US base in Syria last month.

The USS Florida arrived in the region before transiting the canal on Friday "to help ensure regional maritime security and stability," Cdr. Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for the US Navy's 5th Fleet, told Al-Monitor via email.
...
Last week, the Pentagon extended the deployment of an aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS George H. W. Bush in the Mediterranean to support US forces in the Middle East in case of further conflagration and moved up the planned deployment of a squadron of A-10 attack aircraft to the region, CNN first reported.

Meanwhile the Zionists finally have to confront their ideological core:

Israel's former defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon says Jewish extremists who believe in "Jewish supremacy" & seek a "big war" are influencing the Israeli government's decision-making. He likens their agenda to a "Mein Kampf" in reverse.

Muhammad Shehada @muhammadshehad2 · 15h

Extremely important! #Israel's *right-wing* ex-Minister of Defense, Moshe Ya'alon, sheds light on Israel's most dangerous government & the supremacist ideology of its Finance & Security Ministers.

Listen to every word to understand the ongoing escalation!
video

Moshe Ya'alon describing the ideology of two current ministers: "Jewish supremacism. Mein Kampf in reverse. ... To as soon as possible get to a big war. ... This is what goes into the decision making process in the Israeli government."

When government ministers seek a big war they will probably get one. A civil war between 'liberal' Zionists and hard core ideological Zionists, fought on the back of Palestinians, may become a prelude to that.

As far as the Palestinian people are concerned, there is not a trace of daylight between "liberal Zionists" and "hard-core ideological Zionists": they are all genocidal megalomaniacs who imagine that Jews are the master race.

Israel just backed down from the fear of a multifront escalation with Hezbollah and Hamas.

The establishment in Israel can try to externalize the contradictions of the entity by turning on the Palestinians but they can't do that with impunity anymore. Hezbollah has now established that deterrent. One people, one struggle, one resistance is the new equation.

Well this news in terms of the Yemen War is fantastic truly wonderful. It is also brilliant to see the troubles in the Middle East being jointly finished by all countries. It's a beautiful gift for Easter.

It shows what truly Great Statesman and Leaders can achieve with Diplomacy, Dignity and Courage real courage in the face of continued aggression by the USA.

God Bless Xi and Putin and the Crown Prince Bin Salman. They are changing the World for the better.

The clown prince is no clown any more. Au contraire! His Games of Thrones style purge of all possible challengers has put him into a position where he is almost immune to the usual regime change operations. What he did was brutal but effective. This really makes you think about the assumed superiority of democracy. His 180 degree turn and open confrontation of the US would have been almost impossible for any leader who faces the judgement of a population manipulated by the western media apparatus.
The leadership of Geogia can't even introduce a law against US meddling, whereas the prince of SA can openly humiliate the empire.

Posted by: futkon | Apr 8 2023 16:37 utc | 6

Where are those A-10's going to be based? They can't operate off aircraft carriers. Middle Eastern countries should probably invite the US to evacuate their military bases and go home.

Peace in the Middle East? As in they made a desolation and called it peace.

And we mustn't underestimate the Jewish Supremacists. Epstein and Maxwell were/are Jewish Supremacists. Most Israelis are the same. As one can't imagine a world without Russia, to the those who believe in the Chosen, the world is unimaginable without Israel.

Peace in the Middle East? The world is on fire. And that includes the Middle East.

What a joy it would be to have peace in the world.

Thanks for the posting b.

What I keep expecting to see is/are assassination attempts of a few leaders to scare the others.

With the leadership of Xi, Putin and others, the world outside of empire is turning all that war energy back on empire such that it will destroy itself.

That is what we have been watching so far and there is more to go.....think about when all those US troops on foreign soil are forced home to a country that is a financialized shell of its former self.....it won't be pretty but needs to happen, IMO.

I will try and live through it and educate my fellow Americans about alternatives to the God Of Mammon way

Great to hear that there's light at the end of the tunnel regarding the war against Yemen. Now, it's only a matter of time for US-led forces in Syria to be evicted. The big one will be the closure of Al Udeid Air Base; no need for other forces to take over. I hope the old trick of offering a solution for a problem that you purposefully created doesn't fool anyone anymore.

The rapid disintegration of whatever it was the Trump administration had been attempting in the ME - and at the time it appeared as a major shift, particularly by KSA - is a stark and visible reversal of the usual bi-partisan continuity in US foreign policy. It underlines that a Washington Consensus is a very real thing, and that the Trump admin was not part of it. But why or how this Consensus lost its local affiliates so relatively rapidly after the Dem foreign policy team returned to power is interesting to ponder.

" The Saudi-Emirati-Yemenite agreement will be announced soon. "

I wouldn't be too happy just yet. The true agenda of the agreement will be revealed in how the Houthis are treated by it. If things just go back to the Status Quo , like before the war, then its worthless. The Houthis saved Yemen by paying with their own blood, they deserve nothing less then to rule it.

Strange times.

For the coalition lacking the shock&awe brute force USSA slaughter the innocent women and children to win the war. A tried and true method by the USSA dating back to 1948 in Korea.

On the ground. The supposedly so called back in the stone age native militias. Rather than being an easy clay pigeon target. Have consistently out fought out shoot and outwit and completely confuse the invading forces. Since the day UK planted the flag in Aden.

As for this so called illusion of peace put forward. Will be stuck on the point as to how much the greedy Faisal family of thieves can steal all the fossil pollutant reserves held within the 200 km coastal reserves.

I would classify this as fake truce of sorts to allow the Faisal family to steal every last barrel or cubic meter of gas from Yemen.

The “Jews-only Nation State”/Jew State In the Levant (JSN/JSIL) may have an appetite for a big war, but it knows it cannot afford for 1 very simple reason: any “smart” move against Iran (that's where the big war would have to be fought) would result in the annihilation of JSN/JSIL by missiles from Iran, South Lebanon, Gaza and Syria.

The USA has grown so weak that it can only maintain its control over the rest of world by pitting one country against another and one group of people within a country against another.

Soon the USA will be no more when Russia launches. After the USA goes down, peace will break out world wide except for a few countries like Israel.

I have no doubt that the USA along with its vassals in NATO have crossed the Russian red line way too many times. Russia will launch soon after it takes and secures the Donbas. With the linchpin (Bakhmut) of the Donbas now falling it may not be too many more months before the Donbas falls. We will see!

Soon Israel will no longer have the USA to rely upon. When that day comes, Israel will either repent coming to the Lord Jesus Christ or they will perish. The best I can understand from the Bible, they will repent obtaining the protection of the Lord.

Who will have the sovereign right to host any ally of it's choosing on the land? What happens in conflicts with other bordering states?

The most dramatic story here of all is Saudi Arabia continuing to thumb its nose at the US. Fifty years ago, there was a lot of talk about the US simply invading the Arab side of the Persian Gulf, taking all the oil, and building a wall around the area after expelling the few inhabitants. This was never really doable, but now the neocons can't even mouth it. Fifty years ago, Al Sa`ud was considered an unpopular royal family that ran to the US for protection, so the US protected them in exchange for their undertaking to modulate the price of oil and recycle their dollar-denominated profits to purchases of US government bonds and US military equipment. And the US security-trained MBS didn't seem likely to rock the boat, because who would have ever thought such a small and weak country could turn on the US that much? Without Saudi Arabia as the linchpin of the American system in the Middle East, what do they have? Egypt, which is more dependent of Saudi and the Emirates than it is on the US? So this is a great reversal of fortune.

As for the comparison of Saudi Arabia with Georgia @ futkon | Apr 8 2023 16:37 utc | 6, the Georgians continue to hope for US support against Russia to get back what they regard as their terra irrendenta in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, so opposing the US is not so popular, despite what the alignment with the US has actually done to their country. But in the Arab world, after all the US, its military, and its neocons have inflicted on the region, the street is decidedly very anti-US, so MBS can only gain in internal popularity by opposing it.

The other thing is the hysteria of the settler movement in Israel. It seems that many of the non-settler Israelis are starting to worry enough about their survival to come out against the settlers. The settlers have only one goal: the complete ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from Palestine. This fits with their nationalist logic but looks especially ugly in our world of mass communication today, nor are the settlers very popular even within their own nationality, let alone outside of it. So no wonder they are hysterical. They continue to hope for a general war that will give them cover to drive out the Palestinians, but that wouldn't be easy in any case. Nevertheless, they remain a dangerous element in the mix, and the US as usual remains supine before their depredations.

"The Saudis have had enough of U.S. interference in their region. They are looking for development and development requires peace."

That is surely part of it. I think another part though was the illuminative aspect of the $300B confiscation of Russian assets by the west on the excuse of the Uke war, a war that the western powers were not even involved with, except by proxy. I think the Arabs thought to themselves "if they can do this to Russia, why wouldn't they do it to us in the future using some other stupid and convenient excuse?"

All the trillions they have invested in the west are vulnerable and they know it. As soon as it's convenient, there will be some proxy war, "terrorist event," etc. that will allow London and DC to lock down and then absorb the $$. The Arabs need to begin the process of divestment from the west ... but they need to do it in such a way as to not trigger an immediate takeover.

Some in the US Senate want war against Iran for the Syria situation.
Republicans question US military response to Iranian attacks

. . .“Despite the more than 80 attacks by Iranian-backed militias, the United States has only responded with force just a handful of times. In my view, that's unacceptable,” said Senator Ted Budd.
Iran has launched 83 attacks against the US since Joe Biden became President in January 2021, according to testimony from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
The Pentagon chief clarified that many of those attacks yielded no significant damage or deaths.
“An attack can consist of a number of things,” he told the Senate Armed Services Committee. “It can consist of a rocket that's fired in the direction of one of our bases but is not effective.”
Mr Austin defended the military’s responses.
“When we respond, we want to make sure that we are going after the element that is responsible for whatever that activity is,” he said.
“So it takes a little time to develop attribution and then we want to make sure that we are holding the right element accountable, and we're doing everything that we can to protect our troops.”
But Mr Austin's comments did not satisfy Republicans.
“Seventy-nine and four is Iran’s record right now,” said Senator Tom Cotton. . .here

The attempt to nobble the Israeli judiciary is exposing the fractures within Israeli society ... 150,000 protesting today in Tel Aviv ... and the fractures are deep - spot of heightened existential crisis from the norm existential crisis ...
... some silly comments up above - it has a very powerful military, security service, and global cabal of very wealthy and powerful fellow travellers ... Hezbollah fought to a draw but a win is beyond them - and most others in the region ..

Whither the Palestinians in all of this .... ? basically hammered as usual ..

Netanyahu's plan for an agreement with Saudi Arabia, which had been progressing nicely and likely to further progress when Faisal died, is now in shatters.

UAE acts in its own ruthless self-interest and has been particularly brutal against Islamists in Yemen - hiring US mercenaries to kill its leaders etc ... taking over the Island of Socroto etc and is now the place to launder ill-gotten gains etc and also incredibly powerful above its station ...

I'll believe Saudi and UAE exit from Yemen when I see it - the fractures within Yemen itself will remain ... Yemenis could do with a break - but I suspect that the Iron Hand of Saudi and UAE influence on Yemen will remain .... unless Iran can come in as facilitator of the future ...

There really is some acceleration in geopolitics these days ... and it only cost a mere $300 Billion Dollars!

What future holds in store for the Anglo-Zionist's land-based aircraft carrier - Israel - is a big question. Their main purpose and mission of being in the area in the first place was to make sure all the Arabs / other Persian Gulf oil producers are glued to the petrodollar system, on behalf of the City of London financiers. Until now everything went smoothly, but with Russian-Chinese and Iranian support, today, Saudi Arabia is slowly moving on its own independent course. Now the Eurasian powers must make sure, the US doesn't succeed in performing a regime change in Riyadh by planting a military junta there.

Ever since Iran announced its proposed security/peace plan--HOPE--at the UNGA in 2019 by President Rouhani--which was a mirror of Russia's long proposed plan--there's been lots of diplomatic negotiations between all the players along with some pushing on the battlefield that led to the Outlaw US Empire's cancellation of itself in the region when Trump murdered Soleimani and his Iraqi partner. Iran's response then showed the region its capabilities and that peace is a much better path. That this peace is being arrived at between what's called a hardline Iranian government and the Saudis shows the continuation of Rouhani's policy, which is clearly Khamani's. As Escobar, Crooke and others familiar with the regional dynamics have written over the years, to get results of this sort takes much diplomatic tact, time and related patience, things the Outlaw US Empire lacks as we just saw with the DCI's visit and the weak show of force. Apparently, the Empire pukes didn't notice that Russia and China are the guarantors of this agreement and the others that are forthcoming.

What happens within Occupied Palestine has been the subject of speculation since the beginning of February when the centrifugal forces made themselves overt. Crooke's latest today addresses the larger moves to peace and relegates Nuttyahoo's problems to the corner but doesn't completely dismiss them and is a must read. The parent site has several articles about current happenings, this being the first I'd suggest.

According to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide,4 genocide includes various acts “committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group” as such, including:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; and
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group.5
This definition is reflected in Article 6 of the Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has jurisdiction over crimes occurring on the territory of the State of Palestine since June 13, 2014.6
The Genocide Convention was written in the aftermath of World War II

Unfortunately it is the Dream and ideological aim of right wing Israel & many US Christians.

And, and also there is this:

A thaw in Türkiye-Syria relations can be a step toward a ‘New Europe’ in the Middle East
Ankara and Damascus, with Moscow’s backing, are making an effort to reconcile. This could lead to a thriving, integrated region

Delegations from Syria, Iran and Türkiye met in Moscow with their counterparts this week to discuss the normalization of ties between Türkiye and Syria. It’s the prelude to a higher-level meeting that will take place later this month.

Improved cooperation would be particularly important in bringing a close to the ongoing Syrian conflict, as Ankara and Damascus share a long border and frozen relations since the beginning of the war.

Syrian officials had said their delegates would focus on ending Türkiye’s military presence in their country, cooperating in fighting against terrorism, and non-interference in Syria’s internal affairs by other countries. The meeting is the latest in a series of steps, heavily backed by Moscow, towards reconciliation between Ankara and Damascus after an 11-year break in relations. Similarly, these negotiations follow a reconciliation between perennial regional adversaries Iran and Saudi Arabia recently brokered by China. [.]

The Turkish desire to quell Kurdish movements on the Turkish-Syrian border is both understandable and a point of mutual agreement for both parties. It could also help Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his upcoming election, giving him a boost for quelling a terrorist threat and improving cooperation with his neighbor.

In terms of how this will close out the war, the obvious outstanding issue is the remaining US bases and troops in Syria, which are stationed in the country in violation of international law and the very military authorization they are acting under. The latter point was even stated by the former US ambassador to Syria and one-time advocate of supporting the Syrian opposition against Assad, Robert Ford. Consequently, losing ground support from Kurdish militants along the Syrian-Turkish border, where US troops had previously been stationed, will weaken the position of the forces still stationed in Syria’s eastern section.

It is hoped that the thawing of Syria-Türkiye animosities will usher an end to foreign meddling in Syria, including the occupation of its oil-rich regions by US forces. Given that Türkiye is a powerful US military ally in the region and was a major staging point for US military support to anti-Assad militant groups, this would undermine Washington’s logistical, strategic and diplomatic abilities to interfere in Damascus’ internal affairs. It would also help integrate Syria back into the Middle East and global communities.[.]

It's more coordinated and concerted than it meets the eye.

Many believed that countries would de-dollarize in response to anti Russian sanctions and asset seizure merely out of self preservation.

While that's indeed happening, no one predicted so many would de-dollarize so fast in so little time. Last month witnessed dozens of agreements including those between Brazil-China, pan-Latin American currency, Mexico desiring BRICS, Russia-global Yuan trade, India-ASEAN, first yuan LNG transaction from UAE, Kenya of all countries demanding non-dollar with Saudi etc.

But these peace deals in the Middle East are a complete surprise to everybody.

I have an incredibly difficult time believing they're organic and not in the works for a very long time.

The global conspiracies like the "big reset" schemed up at Davos are nothing compared to the behind-the-scenes master plans carefully formulated by Putin and Xi Jinping to overthrow the US empire with almost all Global South leaders in on it with various degrees of cooperation.

We're most likely witnessing the largest revolution in human history to overthrow an empire.

"agreements between Iraq and Iran to reign in a Kurdish uprising in Iran that was controlled by Kurdish forces in Iraq"

That is a US/Israeli attack on Iran, longstanding. The US has protected and paid the Kurds, and in return they do this.

Israeli agents are all over it.

Of course the CIA comes with the money.

Now what China has brokered includes ending these specific US/Israeli operations against Iran. That is what Iran got for what it promised the Saudis. And that is why the US was threatening the Saudis.

Threats to the Saudi's and Iran by the US might not be enough this time and conflict might be a foregone conclusion, the US and its oppressive apartheid regime of Israel can't afford to stand by and see China and Russia get Iran and the Saudi's onside, which in the most art would lead to a breakout of peace in the region.

I expect some sort of event to take place that leads to hostilities, the USA's proxy terrorist fighters will probably begin the conflict and give the US an excuse to step in.

You're a sick puppy Mr. Young. Your kind has been singing this song for 2223 years (plus or minus), yet nothing. Events in almost every generation brings out the end of days prophets, and the generations pass, on, and new prophets rise, but Jesus never does.

Scripture is out in front of you:

"First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation"

2 Peter Chapter 3 verse 3.

Only time will tell. The foundations of jew hatred in the west were laid by perhaps 1500 years of Catholic teaching on Jews as Christ Killers and most importantly the false idea of replacement theology: that the promises God made to the seed of Abraham, Issac and Jacob have been transferred to the "Church". Even the Protestants carried much of that baggage forward until late in the 17th century and early 18th.

Now Israel has been restored in unbelief to the annoyance of many. They do not fit anyones expectations. A nation born out of the death camps. A secular, socialist people, inured to notions of compromise, mercy and ease by history and necessity. A challenge to the "certainties" of Christians because they have been raised up in unbelief - seemingly at odds with the demands of the NT (but only seemingly in my view) with no real hint of national "conversion" in the cards.

A real problem. But one that may be explained by the notion that in God's view of the return of the King, there are no good guys on the earth, no righteous nations - not even his own inheritance that he reserved for himself. Israel will "pass under the rod" one more time and all the nations with it, before the remnant steps out of the cauldron.

Or, it may very well all be nonsense and superstition. If we are honest, we have to admit to that possibility. Even a good soldier waiting at the start line for the signal to step out can have doubts in his heart.

Gentle Jesus, soft eyed and soft spoken...thats who we are familiar with today...but is that who is coming ? The king who will "rule with an iron rod" and to whom "every knee will bend and every head will bow" ? Our heads are all filled up with images and notions handed down to us through many hands for 2000 years.

Today we live in amazing times. To one who does not believe, belief is nonsense and madness, so insane and dangerous as to warrant destructions...same as it ever was.

The US is getting desperate vis a vis the dollar situation. We're on the brink of a total war involving China, Iran, and Russia against the US and whatever vassals are still returning their phone calls (and not denouncing their policies on TV). This is not a situation that is going to be resolved by diplomacy, at least not until they get tired of fighting.

The weaponization of the economy has been the biggest mistake. There are now alternatives to the west's ghetto loan shark operation cum global finance and people are reducing their dollar facing risk like it's going out of style. Even the some of the pigs are sick of having their shit taken and are trying to remain relevant in the emerging world order.

Let's face it, the European centric, greek based western power structure is in full blown crisis mode. Centuries of bullshit have been exposed and rewritten with the dawn of the information age. The next big leap in either transportation or communications technology will bring with it similar conflict, if the species as we recognize it survives.

Lurking behind the peace push is the well recognized, beyond essential requirement, to diversify economic development in preparation for the days when the hydrocarbon riches are depleted. I've mused about that before and posted the following comment at Escobar's VK in response to his recent column:

"Your article sparked an idea: Under Persian Gulf pipeline from Saudi to Iran, then to Pakistan and onto China that would help get the Peace Pipeline finished through Pakistan into India and beyond. And Iraq must get involved. My quick addition says India will need to consume at least as much oil as China has this century just to catch up, and then there're the needs of all the nations to India's East. And the energy rich also need to send their products West to Africa, which will need as much as India just for starters.

"Over 25 years ago, you noted energy would be the main driver of geopolitics and geoeconomics in the 21st Century, but it appears too many have forgotten that North America has used up most of its endowment and within the next several decades will become energy poor. When the history of the early 21st Century is written in 50 years, the Neocons will be seen as huge failures for their inability to capitalize on capturing West Asian energy--their failure was to prioritize Occupied Palestine over the energy riches and to allow the Neoliberal Parasites to run wild."

Getting the dollar out of the international energy trade is key because US-based inflation will cease to cause poor nations to lack for energy, with the arrangement between Kenya and Saudi being the first of many. IMO, it's important to stop comparing the dollar with all other national currencies and start referencing the yuan over the next several years until Ukraine is solved and the ruble regains its convertibility. The other part of this equation are the illegal sanctions, as once the new regime of clearing mechanisms is in place circumventing the remaining choke points the Outlaw US Empire can employ, the sanctions become meaningless as they become unenforceable.

Many nations set goals for 2030, and the main requirement for most to come close to attaining those goals is peace and stability in the international marketplace, which is currently being rendered dysfunctional by the Outlaw US Empire's illegalities as it tries to enforce its waning hegemony. China's three Initiatives, its similar agreements with Russia combined with Russia's newly announced foreign policy concept are all designed to lead, promote, shape, and bring to reality a revamped multipolar system of relations are desired by all nations outside of the NATO Bloc. Again, that's 7/8s of the planet's people and the nations having the vast majority of essential resources. All EuroAmericans have is fiat cash and massive corruption along with a feeble industrial base that continues to be robbed of its vitality.

US ready for war with China – congressman

US Congress would approve troop deployment to Taiwan should China attack the island,
Representative Michael McCaul said

US Congress would authorize a direct military confrontation with China if Beijing launched an attack against Taiwan, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul told Fox News on Friday evening. The Texas Republican representative was talking from Taipei during a three-day bipartisan delegation visit to the self-governing island.

American lawmakers would consent to putting boots on the ground if people in the US support the measure, McCaul said, without elaborating on how exactly such support would be measured. “If communist China invaded Taiwan, it would certainly be on the table and something that would be discussed by Congress and with the American people,” he said, adding that “if the American people support this, the Congress will follow.”

However, McCaul insisted that a “conflict is always a last resort” and described the US delegation’s visit as a way to “provide deterrence to China.” US-Chinese relations have previously been strained by the visits of American delegations to Taiwan, which China considers an inalienable part of its sovereign territory.

The representative also maintained that discussions about a potential use of force by America in the Indo-Pacific region serve as a “deterrent for peace” since “you don’t have NATO in the Pacific.”Doing otherwise would mean inviting “aggression and war,” McCaul claimed.

[Source: r and t]

Does McCaul understand of what he speaks?

Re-read this bit once more:

[.] "that discussions about a potential use of force by America in the Indo-Pacific region serve as a “deterrent for peace” since “you don’t have NATO in the Pacific.”Doing otherwise would mean inviting “aggression and war,” McCaul claimed.

Hmmm !!!.
On review, use of the descriptor dumbsh*t is an understatement.
You think maybe Americans should stockpile every single item they buy from China before putting boots on Taiwan?

Demonizing China was accelerated by Trump in 2016-2020.

When a former Israeli Defense Minister known for his hawkish views on the Palestinians and Iran's government comes out publicly with warnings of the Israeli govt's self-destructive actions and behaviour, and warns of Israel becoming a mirror of Nazi Germany (in his references to "Mein Kampf" in reverse), you certainly know that Israel is in a state of existential crisis. Especially as its neighbours are demonstrating the use of diplomacy and discussion to resolve what were once considered intractable problems lasting for decades. Whatever "role" Israel was supposed to serve on its founding in 1948 no longer exists (if it ever did, Israel itself coming into being through terrorist actions) thanks to Israel's own thoughtless activities over the past 75 years.

Future historians are likely to view (if they are honest) the period of Israel's existence for what it really is: a wolf masquerading as a sheepdog supposedly to help keep a neocolonialisr peace in the Middle East on behalf of the West.

6. "For I am the Lord, I change not." Malachi 3:6

7. "With whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17

God repents; therefore, she is not omnipresent, and neither is she God.
******************************************************************
1.Before the flood (and just after the sons of God had sex with the daughters of men), God repented for having made humans. "And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart". Genesis 6:6

2. "And Moses besought the LORD ... Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath and repent of this evil against thy people. ... And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people." Exodus 32:11-14

"It repented the LORD because of their groanings." Judges 2:18

6. After Saul failed to commit complete genocide as God commanded, God repented of making Saul king.
"It repenteth me [God] that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments [Committing complete genocide on the Amalekits] ... and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel." 1 Samuel 15:11, 35

7. After God killed 70,000 men (and 200,000 or so women and children) in a pestilence to punish Israel for a census that God (and/or Satan) inspired, "the Lord repented him of the evil" and quit killing people.
"The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. ... So, the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, it is enough: stay now thine hand." 2 Samuel 24:1-16

8. And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. ... And God was displeased with this thing; therefore, he smote Israel. ... So, the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men. And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him [self] of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, it is enough, stay now thine hand." 1 Chronicles 21:1-15

9. If a nation repents of its evil, God will repent of the evil things he had planned to do to it.
"If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them." Jeremiah 18:8

10. "If so, be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I [God] may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings. Jeremiah 26:3

11. Therefore, now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you. Jeremiah 26:13

12. "Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? Did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls." Jeremiah 26:19

13. "If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I [God] repent me of the evil that I have done unto you." Jeremiah 42:10

14. If a nation does evil, God will repent of the good things he was planning to do to it.
"If it does evil in my sight, that it obeys not my voice, then I [God] will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them." Jeremiah 18:8

15. After Jonah's converted the people of Ninevah, God repented of the evil that he planned to do to them.
"So, Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh ... So, the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth ... For word came unto the king of Nineveh ... and he ... covered him with sackcloth and sat in ashes ... saying ... let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God. ... God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them." Jonah 3:3-10

16. In Amos's first vision, God makes grass-eating grasshoppers, and then repents.
"GOD shewed unto me; and behold, he formed grasshoppers ... when they had made an end of eating the grass ... The Lord repented for this." Amos 7:1-3

17. In Amos's second vision, God burns up the earth and sea, and then repents.
"Behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. ... The LORD repented for this." Amos 7:4-6

18. "I [God] am weary of repenting." Jeremiah 15:6

Yes, I know that apologists have spent 2000 years trying to explain away these embarrassing contradiction and they have failed.

At MoA, using religion to support a position about modern geopolitical issues is nonsense, and off the subject; but the neo-God trolls keep bringing it up as an answer to complicated issues, and they often work in pairs and groups. I have noticed this on many other sites as well.

The Gnostics openly declared the war mongering schizophrenic Old Testament God a pretender. A creator he may be, but Yaldabaoth a bastard child of Sophia's irreverence toward the natural order of things.

Germany's ambassador to Chad will be expelled within 48 hours for his "impolite attitude" and "non-respect of diplomatic practices", the government in N'Djamena said in a statement Friday.

I doubt the human race can survive that long

65 is just an atheist. To the posters at 56, 60 and 64; It all comes down to whether you believe in the Bible as being scripture, and if you do, whether you follow the ten commandments. Number 4 is honour the sabbath, which sunday worshippers do not...they are going to be very surprised when after his return, that he tells them to "begone from my sight".

Sunday worship is the mark of the beast, and obviously, we must first see the last rise of the Holy Roman Empire, coming soon to our very surprise. I believe it will be a culmination of the death of NATO, EU and the American hegemony that will result in the ten Catholic countries banding together as a Catholic superpower led by Germany. Daniel is chockful of these end time prophecies.

My opinion, anyhow.

Hezbollah fought to a draw but a win is beyond them -- Don Firineach | Apr 8 2023 18:47 utc | 36

Yeah, dream on, dude. Israel's another paper tiger. Lots of unsupported pretension. Their days are numbered. Start counting. -- john | Apr 8 2023 19:52 utc | 50

I think that if "a win" was within reach of Hezbollah, they could go for it. IDF has a big advantage in terms of weapons and manpower, and it seems to be diligent in training the soldiers and periodically recalled reservists (this diligence may vary according to my sole observation point, a visit to Israel to do some joint research, as my host was called to reserve duty, I visited his rather hilarious military unit consisting solely of reservists).

IDF also has an illustrious history of blitzkriegs and large scale battles. Recently, it developed unparallel expertise in harassing villagers, e.g. unique formulation of "skunk water", specialized machines for uprooting olive trees and application of herbicides (a bit less successful with sheep), clobbering worshippers etc., raising doubts if their current capabilities match their former glory. But I still see no match between defensive capabilities of IDF and offensive capabilities of Hezbollah. IDF has very complete kit of weaponry, can mobilize a vast trained manpower and a short border to defend. Hezbollah has at least 5 if not 10 times smaller manpower and very incomplete kit of weapons. However, if the tables are reversed, defensive capability of Hezbollah is nothing to sneer about.

Again with the butthurt, lol yeah ok dude. Like that's what this is about. See this is what I'm talking about. You immediately assume you think you know what I'm talking about but you don't know a fucking thing. Where did I attack you personally? Now you can either address any of my points and withdraw your idiotic ad hominem attacks.

Ayhol there!
Salute fellow slaves! Evil daze, was it ever otherwise? We are all almost free, and almost destroyed. Simultaneously.... it is rather fraught. Ah, qua sky?

What middle east? We are subsumed in conception. You can fear and delete my perspicacity, you can call me an AI chat bot (I coined, "machine plagiarism" !) But brothers and sisters, from all lands and traditions, we are deeply trapped in a mind control nexus. The current, but not natural, human condition. We can of course, make up our own story. We must earth need not entertain our stupid mankeyshines. Really boring (for 111 years) the denial of the meaning of technology. Relativity. Quantum mechanics. Electromagnetism. We went gutter and nonsense with fake democracy and fake communism experimenting on capitalism unbound from reason. Now we face a very real killed ecosphere and a choice. Quantum AI controlled nano science utopia or heat death? (etcetera.) Very sad that it has come to this in such fashion, fighting primitive battles. Yet here we are.

Here is the deal. Free Tibet. Free East Turkestan. Call Vladivostok, Vladevostok. Russia exit Crimea and it, LPR and DPR will be autonomous zones under Ukraine administration. No Kremlin support in these areas of military or politics. Sevastopol base may be retained on old lease terms.

It is China that leveraged this move. It did not work out. It is very embarrassing, but, so what. We go forward, no?

PRC or NATO. Who is Russia's true ally?

Last chance to salvage the Russian Empire.

Or PRC will feast. (And then crumble. Leaving pain.).

Poor earth! So wasteful of our blessings!!!

PRC wants lake Baikal. Badly.

CIA drawing PRC into Myanmar nightmare. (Operation Vanilla if you care)

Another one.

It all has to be kayfabe, a show, right? All too stupid for words.

Good luck. Mutual aid. Build decent real communities.

Gonna be quite the next few months I fear.

OM

About prophecies and documented edicts of the Lord: it is clear that the Lord is changing His mind from time to time, and why should He not? So, after so many centuries without credible prophecies (apologies to Latter Day Saints, Rastafarians etc.), we need to use our reason to figure the good and the bad, who should be smitten, who should be lauded etc.

Posted by: Piotr Berman | Apr 8 2023 23:55 utc | 99
