Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Is Netanyahoo (Again) Looking For War?

Israel's occupation of Palestine is moving towards another hot conflict.

Last night the Israeli police again stormed the al-Aqsa mosque:

More Palestinians had gathered in the mosque, responding to calls by Waqf to pray inside overnight. At one of the mosque entrances, police officers could be seen escorting dozens of Palestinians out of the compound. Residents and shoppers milled around, watching social media videos on their phones showing the renewed clashes that had happened just meters away.

Early on Wednesday, Israeli police stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, firing stun grenades at Palestinians who hurled stones and firecrackers in a burst of violence during a sensitive holiday season. Palestinian militants in Gaza responded with rocket fire on southern Israel, prompting repeated Israeli airstrikes.

The violence had calmed by early Wednesday morning, but in the evening, Palestinian militants fired two more rockets from Gaza, with one falling short inside Gaza and the other falling near the security fence separating Gaza from Israel, the Israeli military said. There were no reports of casualties.

The mosque sits in a hilltop compound sacred to both Jews and Muslims, and conflicting claims over it have spilled into violence before, including a bloody 11-day war between Israel and Hamas, the Islamic militant group that rules Gaza. Al-Aqsa is the third-holiest site in Islam and stands in a spot known to Jews as the Temple Mount, which is the holiest site in Judaism.

Muslims currently celebrate their Ramadan holy month while Jews began their week-long Passover holiday. Last week some ultra-orthodox rabbis had asked prime minister Netanyahoo to allow them to abuse Al-Aqsa:

Fifteen rabbis have asked the Israeli government on Thursday to ascend the Temple Mount and al-Haram al-Sharif next Wednesday, when the Jewish holiday of Passover begins, a move that could exacerbate tensions in Jerusalem during the ongoing Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The rabbis have put a request to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Thursday to ascend to the Temple Mount and for Jews to be allowed to offer the Passover, the way it was practiced in biblical times.

Over the years, a majority of rabbis has ruled that Jews are not allowed to ascend the Temple Mount site, since purification rituals cannot be performed in times when the temple is destroyed. Most rabbis also object to reviving biblical sacrifices of lambs or goats. Still, far-right religious activists have registered a clear trend in recent years of an increase in the number of Jews ascending the Temple Mount compound.

It is dubious that the place where Al-Aqsa is standing is the one where the mythical Jewish temple once stood. Despite intense decades long searches no archeological evidence has been found to prove that.

The Waqf, the authority that administrates the al-Haram al-Sharif, had called for Muslim believers to stay there over night to prevent the sacrilege against the Mosque. In response to the first raid on the mosque earlier this week some rockets had been fired from Gaza to which the Israeli military responded with bombings.

Today missiles were fired from south Lebanon:

Dozens of rockets were fired from southern Lebanon on Thursday afternoon with 25 intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system over northern Israel, the military said. At least three people were injured and several buildings were damaged.

The Israel Defense Forces said 34 rockets had been fired toward the border with five landing inside Israel, and most of the rest downed by Iron Dome. The impact sites of four others were not yet clear.

Such a massive barrage would this the largest number of rockets fired from Lebanon since the 2006 war, during which thousands of rockets were launched at Israel. In August 2021, Hezbollah fired 19 rockets at northern Israel.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, and a Hezbollah source told the Al-Arabiya network that it was not behind the rocket fire, apparently blaming Palestinian groups based in the area. However, it was unlikely they would do so without at least the tacit approval of the Iran-backed terror group that controls southern Lebanon.

This was indeed a message from Hizbullah.

Amal Saad @amalsaad_lb – 14:08 UTC · Apr 6, 2023

The unprecedented barrage of rockets fired at Israel today, allegedly by Palestinian factions in Lebanon, was an indirect message from Hizbullah. Nasrallah had warned as recently as January 2023 that Al-Aqsa was a red line that would lead to an “explosion of the whole region” 1/2
Hizbullah is trying to stretch the rules of deterrence with a new equation: violating al-Aqsa will trigger responses not just from Gaza but also from Lebanon. Hizbullah is responding by proxy with grey zone warfare to preserve the rules of engagement and avert an escalation. 2/2

It is not yet clear that a escalation can be prevented. Currently the Israeli security cabinet is meeting. United Nations peacekeepers (UNIFIL) in south Lebanon have allegedly received orders to enter their bomb shelters. UNIFIl called the called the situation "extremely serious".

Netanyahoo and his ultra-right coalition partners might be interested in launching a new war to divert from their attempts to change the secular state of Israel into a religious led one. Large color-revolution like protests have been held against that and Netanyahoo's project of putting (secular) supreme court judgments under (religious led) parliament revision is currently on hold.

A 'nice little war' might be a welcome distraction and a way to silently revive the matter. But the 2006 war against Hizbullah, which Israel lost, showed that nice little wars can easily turn against their instigators.

No outside force can ever destroy Israel.
The only way to destroy the Jewish nation is from the inside.
Looks like Netanyahoo is determined to accomplish the task in record time.

Your end argument that the ultimate choice is for Israel to choose is wrong. We must read what is happening right now
Palestinians now are not the same as before
The axe of resistance now is not the same as before
Israel now is not the same as before
The US now is not the same as before
The world now is not the same as before
Don’t be surprise if a war breaks the Saudis will be fighting alongside the Palestinians
The only choice for Palestinians is victory…and you can interpret what victory means in your own way.

Strange times.
There appear to many misconceptions about voting rights prior to the various progressive voter reform acts in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Voting for local government administrations and the elected government reps. Was strictly male only. One must also be a registered taxable property owner. Widows who paid property taxes were not eligible.
What no secret ballot? Also in that era your vote was recorded on the neatly hand written central located voter register for all to see.
In other news a new nephew candidate has just registered to run in the run off preliminaries round one for 2024. Sadly this losers lies are even bigger than those told by the legendary “DJT” A rival to the liar-in– chief era 2016-2021. Has appeared. As the Mexican President says “USSA should stop electing corrupt scumbums to public office”!

Speaking about “DJT”. A brand new military report from the “Pentangle of lies”, DC Swamp. Pointed the bones at a slacker directly responsible for the USSA disaster retreat from Kabul. One that rivals General Elphingstone’s epic retreat. Oh well, the man who failed to “Make Amerika Great Again” in four years. Instead turned the country into a complete waste of space in the same four years. Accelerating the trend to a multi-polar world.
The USSA ‘pentangle of lies’ terminated all rotational military officers travel transit booking at Trump This or That on January 5th, 2021. Saving tens of millions to spend on Ronnie Raygun’s 1984 mothballed star wars projects. I guess even the ‘Pentangle of lies’, held an extremely low in the sewer opinion! On the former liar-in-chief’s competence as CinC since 2016.

You say ‘It is dubious that the place where Al-Aqsa is standing is the one where the mythical Jewish temple once stood. Despite intense decades long searches no archeological evidence has been found to prove that’
My understanding is that after the tempe was destroyed the ruins remained for a long time, especially under Christian rule as an evidence (in Christian eyes) of God’s displeasure with the Jews. It was by way of doing honour to the Temple, and claiming continuity with it, that the Muslims used the site for their own great mosque. If all that’s right there’s surely little doubt that this was the site of the old Jewish Temple (where else could it have been?)

Let’s not forget Israel had also upped the ante in its bombings of Syria too.
With Iran about to make friends with Saudi Arabia and Biden seemingly hostile to Bibi, it is likely there could be nothing ‘nice’ or ‘little’ waiting for Israel’s in its next war.
It may just be the perfect storm for the Global South to turn en masse against a country that needs no sales pitch to be sold as the bad guy and an ideal weak link to attack the American Empire by further exposing its weakness and fading military resolve and capability.
Nuttyyahoo may do well to consider the fate of another stubborn jew who thought he could win, but instead is currently pursuing a losing war with no end in sight that has brought nothing but ruin and death to his people.

Is Israel ready for the aftermath of a direct, official attack? Or they will just watch “the concrete to fly”? Perhaps the plan is to provoke a “mini-retaliation” with Al-Aqsa crisis… However, Hezbollah have thousands of putative launching sites, and they will disclose only small fraction now.
About attacking Iran directly, either it will be small, no more damaging than sabotage so far, and retaliation will be smallish too, or big, prompting a major blockade of Strait of Hormuz with demands of condemnation and reparations. Planning for the day after is at least as important as planning an attack.

[This war ] ..has to do with getting Europe off Russia oil and gas so the EU countries will buy oil and gas from Israeli.
Its estimated Israel has more oil in the Holan Heights than Saudi Arabia and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas off its shores in the Eastern Mediterranean.
I said the same thing before the close of last year but it did not get posted.. Destruction of Nord Stream II was a necessary part of the game to push Russia out of the oil and gas supply business ( I think it also accounts in total for the apparent slow progress of Russia in Ukraine).
War between Israel and Iran and its partners may destroy Israel.. for good.. I think there is more strength in the surrounding nations than Israel can defend; meaning control of the oil in the area would shift to the East. Probably this explains the Chinese success in reuniting Iran with Saudi Arabia.

Well darlings you got two choices, either cancel the contract immediately and negotiate with Russia, or get morally and economically crushed by Israel. If the EU condones this provocation , the Zionazis who have destroyed Ukraine will bring their filthy Nazism into the heart of EU politics.
The only possible course for Europe now us to refuse to accept Israeli fossil fuels in protest at Israeli Apartheid and Genocide.
The jackboot will once again descend on Europe for the second time in 100 years.
The only message must be that Europe will sanction Israeli terrorism. Do it or die a long painful cancer of your democratic ideology.

The oppressive, apartheid military occupying force in Palestine, Israel, is always looking for ways to oppress the Palestinian people and those in neighbouring countries such as Lebanon. The Western media utterly pro-Israeli always report the attacks by Israel as “defending” themselves from attacks, when the reality is much different.
The murderous Israeli regime is propped up by the West and the USA in particular, and the UN has issued more resolutions against Israel than any other country for its oppressive murderous behaviour in the region.
The West has a bloody cheek to talk about China or Russia, when the Un and Nato has allowed the murderous regime of Israel to systematically kill and push out of their own lands the Palestinian people.
No barring from any events such as the World Cup, Eurovision Song Contest for Israel, no their murderous actions in Palestine go unpunished.

Well, it’s Zionist collective punishment time again. (I’ve posted the bulk of the article only because many people cannot link to RT.)
Israel launches massive attack on Gaza

IDF warplanes bombed the Palestinian city in “revenge” for rockets fired from Lebanon
Israeli planes began bombing Gaza in the early hours of Friday, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the Palestinian group Hamas for Thursday’s rocket attack from Lebanese territory.
“The IDF is currently striking in Gaza,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tweeted at 12:21 am local time.
Palestinian media outlets reported that Hamas air defenses have been activated. There were no reports of casualties so far. Videos shared on social media showed explosions lighting up the night. …
“We will strike our enemies and they will pay the price for any act of aggression,” Netanyahu said on Thursday, after some 34 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon. No one took responsibility for the attack, but the IDF blamed Hamas, a militant Palestinian group headquartered in Gaza.
Israeli media called the attack the most serious escalation since 2006, when Israel attempted to dislodge Hezbollah from southern Lebanon. That war is widely considered a Hezbollah victory.
According to local media, Hamas and Hezbollah have placed their long-range rockets on high alert, and may strike at central Israel in response to the IDF bombing.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, whom Netanyahu fired last week but reinstated after public backlash, has instructed the IDF to prepare for “all possible options of retaliation.” All IDF personnel were reportedly recalled from leave and the units near the border with Lebanon placed on high alert on Thursday.
Media outlets in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have speculated that a strike on Gaza was certain, while another operation in Lebanon was highly likely. …

No outside force can ever destroy Israel.
Faith occupies an unearthly space. That’s why Ukranian Nazism is not worth dying for, because its premise is a geographical space. Judaism has been destroyed twice before as described in Chapeter Bani Isaeel in the Qur’an. When the children of Israel exceed all bounds of their religion God destroys them , as in the Captivity and Roman destruction of Palestine.
It’s so easy. Any group of people who ask to be considered as a Faith group will be measured by the rules of their faith.
Coveting your neighbour’s water, oil , land , doesn’t comply with Moses ‘ rules.
Therefore they will be crushed by their own behaviour using an external superpower that is that capable of destroying them.

Believe it or not, I remember people assuring me in 1965 that the war in Vietnam was all about “massive oil deposits” in the Gulf of Tonkin. This all about oil and gas nonsense is the lowest form of ‘marxism.’
In fact the Golan Heights, which may very well contain oil, gold or even truffles ready to be cooked and eaten, was occupied, firstly because Israel is crazy about real estate but specifically because it is the high ground so beloved of military men.

I see Israel is calling up reservists. I don’t think that will go down with said reservists. People don’t appreciate how much things have changed from the glorious days of 1967. The reservists no longer want to go to war every time Netanyahu clicks his fingers. The last time in Gaza the army refused to go into the built-up areas, and winkle out the defenders. The only choice the generals had was to let the troops stand back, and send in the airforce to bomb the sh*t out of the Palestinians.
Of course, it’s not very different in other countries. I suspect part of the Russian strategy in Ukraine is due to reluctance to send in the human waves that the Ukrainians claim is happening. But the crucial point is that Israel has committed itself for 75 years to a militarised relationship with its neighbours, and can’t now turn to a normal diplomatic interface. I always recommend people to read if you haven’t done so years ago, Avi Shlaim’s The Iron Wall. It’s an eye-opening revelation of the character of Israel’s relations with the Arab World.

Astonishing the level of Jew hatred in the comments here. Such a tiny country to mobilize so much outrage. Israelis must be supermen.
People will be so very, very happy if/when Israel is destroyed and millions murdered. How interesting that is. Will it mean that the Catholics and Orthodox were right all along and that God fudged his promises to Abraham and transferred them to the “Church”. That must mean then that 1948 was not prophetic fulfillment but a deception of Satan ?
I’m pretty sure the Catholics hold to replacement theology. I’m not sure about Orthodox. A lot of Calvinist based Protestants are on board that train also and of course Lutherens.
One has to wonder, how is it that Israel was raised up again but in unbelief ?
And how awkward it is to be rooting for Russian victory in Ukraine and simultaneously Jewish destruction. And seeing so clearly how Russian victory will be that hook in the jaw that drags Russian attention and influence down to confront the beautiful land and with all his allies.
It is so like us to think in categories of good guys and bad guys and to want to wear the right colored hat.
Is it perhaps that God opposes ALL the nations and the little gods that rule them – “I have said you are gods, but will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler” . Are all the nations are being brought into judgement ?
Where is the remnant of Israel ?
What we all really want, secretly in our hearts: Gotterdammerung

Your inept fiddling around with the Hebrew language (“NetanyahOO”), reminded me that diphthongs are just a little too complex for most of you
south Alabama barflies. I was born and reared in this sorry excuse for a state, too, but at least I learned to read Biblical Hebrew.

“People will be so very, very happy if/when Israel is destroyed”
Correct. Almost everyone on earth despises Israel, for good reason. The only people who don’t want Israel destroyed are racist jews and racist white people in the USA who view Israel as their base of white supremacy in west Asia.
“and millions murdered.”
Killing genocidal Israelis is not “murder.” It is self defense.

Dan, you are promoting the false equation of anti-zionism to anti-semitism. Stop.

There is no remnant of Israel when the Israelis can speculate about God
‘ is it perhaps that God… ‘.
The Qur’an tells us about God. No need to speculate. But the Jews reject the Qur’an, and shoot up its unarmed believers with
automatic weapons during their worship, speckling the mosque with blood and bullet holes and arresting them.
It is indeed astonishing that the Jewish religion is unaware of God observing their crimes. I think by not believing in Him they think their own macho digital reality is the real one.

I, for one, insist that the Temple Mount be bulldozed so that I and my followers can rebuild the temple of Dagon the Jews destroyed in order to build the temple of Solomon …

Is that the fabricated patios fantasy language that was assembled as part of the scam to swindle Palestine out of Arab hands?
Something like the fictional “Jewish people”, that tries to weave one ‘ethnicity’ out of Chinese, Ethiopians, slavs, Germanic Ashkenazi and Iranian Sephardi?
You might as well have studied Elven script from Lord of the rings …

Yes, Nuttyahoo wants war because it is a good cover for murdering and driving out more non-Jews from Occupied Palestine.

It’s not astonishing. It’s healthy.
Let’s see how supermanly the filthy occupiers of Palestine would be without their loyal American lackeys.

Lula basically said Russia can’t achieve all their goals, must accept a deal. Should give back Donbass and if they’re nice, he lets them keep Crimea. He’s going to China to propose his piss plan to Xi

As we all know, Lula is a traitor to the working class of Brazil and a paid CIA piss-ant cunt.
May he rot in Hell and suffer a slow and painful death beforehand.

In discussing the Goland Heights and oil, one should not forget that Israel was also a partner in the EastMed pipeline project, which Vicky Nuland put an end to a year ago. Was that any of her business? Nobody cares.

Israel doesn’t have gas or oil, the Golan is about WATER, not gas. Israel needs water, more than oil.

Snippets from the New York Times on the Pentagon Leaks
Leaked Pentagon Documents Reveal Secrets About Friends and Foes
https://www.nytimes.com/explain/2023/russia-ukraine-war-documents-leak
Starts with a photo of Azov recruits ..NYT all-in on Azov but I move on to Mossad
Documents allege that Israel’s spy agency encouraged anti-government protests.
Among the revelations contained in the leaked Pentagon documents was an assertion that the leadership of the Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence service, had encouraged the agency’s staff and Israeli citizens to participate in the anti-government protests that roiled the country in March.
… According to the leaked documents, an assessment attributed to a Central Intelligence Update from March 1, leaders of the Mossad “advocated for Mossad officials and Israeli citizens to protest against the new Israeli Government’s proposed judicial reforms, including several explicit calls to action that decried the Israeli Government.”
… According to the documents, the information was obtained through signals intelligence. Many of the leaked documents are labeled with orders that they are to be shared only among American intelligence agencies.
Current and former Israeli intelligence officials said the agency’s rules and longstanding tradition of nonpartisanship would have precluded direct involvement by the agency’s leadership in a political crisis. Asked for comment, the prime minister’s office, of which the Mossad is part, said it was looking into the reports.
Some Mossad employees, however, requested and received permission to participate in the demonstrations as private citizens. The Mossad chief, David Barnea, in consultation with Israel’s attorney general, allowed junior employees to participate so long as they did not identify themselves as members of the organization, according to a defense official familiar with the agency’s policy.
… Several hundred former Mossad employees, including five former chiefs, also signed a statement in March opposing the overhaul promoted by the government.
Ultimately, the protesters stalled the proposal’s progress and the government said it would shelve the legislation until at least the summer.
The Mossad itself has never taken a position on any political or social controversy in Israel. Also, in contrast to the Shin Bet, which deals with domestic security, the Mossad works exclusively outside the country.
The information included in the leaked documents, however, has some overlap with unsubstantiated accusations promoted by Yair Netanyahu, the prime minister’s son. The younger Mr. Netanyahu has claimed that hostile elements inside Israel’s intelligence community and the U.S. State Department were behind the protest.
… End.
Well dear friends, to borrow Dima’s introduction, you know what they say in certain circles in the Middle East – Don’t fu€k with the Mossad!
Netanyahu is toast.

The current situation on the State of Palestine occupied by Israeli forces and colonizers is somehow a directly unfolding scenario happening in Syria.
“US President Joe Biden ordered airstrikes on a number of positions in northeastern Syria last month, after Washington announced the death of a contractor in a drone strike. What followed was an unprecedented response from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and allied militias, shelling US positions throughout the duration of the following day. This exchange of fire marks a turning point in the conflict between the two sides.” – Robert Inlakesh Source – RT News 04/09/2022
The end of hostilities facilitated by China between Saudis, Iran, Yemen, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon put back together the Arab world as one since we have not seem since the fall of the European rednecks (British-Scottish-French-Vatican) crusaders trying to settle on the Middle East alongside with Mongols. The last one who were expelled sometime before under Osman.
The escalation pop-up. It later emerged that the Biden administration had moved one of its aircraft carriers, USS George H.W. Bush, closer to Syria. Ironically the genocide of Palestinians started under George W Bush supporting right wing European jewish in Tel-Aviv. Sinking that ship somehow would be putting deep in the grave this US terrorist policy overall Middle East.
“If Damascus’ new approach of responding forcefully against the US military in northeastern Syria is adopted going forward, it will give Washington only two options: negotiate with Damascus or leave the country completely. If American soldiers are coming home in body bags over maintaining an occupation inside a country that the US public or Congress were never consulted on, the pressure of remaining could become a burden on the Biden administration.”
Israel plays a important sidekick role while it is not threatened by peer enemies with the ability to strike back.
