Warning: very gross pictures. Claims that they were beheaded while still alive. Question is, who were they exactly?

Not going to watch that link, but regardless of if its real, and regardless of who did it, they'll blame Russia... that is the one constant in all of this :)

I see some people habitually calling Ukrainians "nazis". Nice, safe, Politically Correct propaganda to hide behind. Like Western tabloids likening Putin to Hitler.

"But there are nazis among the Ukrainians!" And most Russians aren't nationalist and racialist? No matter what they call it. Which by Western tabloid logic should make them all "nazis". Putin opposes mass immigration in the West, saying it is destroying the West, so leftists hate him and call him a "nazi".

The few thousand Azovs in Ukraine, by the way, are opposed by pretty much every nationalist organization and party in Europe, who see them as sell-outs, getting paychecks from Biden in exchange for twisting nationalism into "we don't like the Russians". As if it's WWII still.

Looking at the Ukrainian parliament, there is only a single seat held by nationalists, the more moderate Svoboda. The vast majority of Ukrainian parliamentarians are simply loyal to the leftist, anti-White, pro-immigration Biden.

I didn't view the link, I have a hard time with such things so I apologize for my ignorance; are their hands cut off as well?

I ask because the Zelensky Team cut off heads and hands of mercenaries which I assume would include NATO troops to limit Russian ability to identify them.

They're sell-out nazis, but they're still nazis.

As for humanity's unfinished denazification imperative, it is still WWII.

How would you account for the increasingly draconian measures to outlaw the use and speaking of the Russian language? We aren't talking about enthusiasts for esperanto here but fascists.
There may be very few Nazis in the Rada but the cabinet is full of them. And, yes, they are also supporters of the US government which has had them on the payroll since 1944.
The "more moderate" Svoboda, by the way was formerly known as the Social Nationalist party.

As to the business of cutting off the limbs and heads of NATO soldiers dying in Ukraine's forces, this is, quite obviously done to prevent their being identified for the serving soldiers that they are. And those responsible are, firstly the Ukrainian fascists and secondly their enablers, the NATO governments who really ought to tell their troops that, if they 'volunteer' for service in Kiev's forces and die they will be dismembered to save the government from embarrassment.
Obviously if they are wounded and cannot be evacuated, rather than allowing them to fall into the hands of the Russian enemy they will be killed. And then dismembered or burned.
Such is the reality of the imperialist cause. And there is nothing novel about it to Asians, Africans or Latin Americans.

@ Tenet 3

You don't understand what the term Nazi means in the Russian context. Moreover, you exaggerate the interest of a right-left divide which no longer exists and which was never really relevant as far as Nazism is concerned. When the Russians say Nazis in Ukraine, it does not mean that they are again fighting against the Wehrmacht and against the SS, even if the seduction of Nazi folklore about the Azov battalions, Kraken, etc. is very present.

What they mean is that the policy of Apartheid or ethnic cleansing towards russian speakers and ethnic Russians is equal to Nazism for them. Porochenko said, talking about people of Dombass: “We will have jobs, they will not. We will have pensions, they will not. We will have support of children and pensioners, they will not. Our children will go to kindergartens and schools, theirs will be sitting in cellars. Because they do not know anything how to do! That’s how we are going to win this war”

Don't these words define a nazi policy ?

Here's something we don't read much about that's provided by Putin's meeting today dealing with the rehabilitation of residential infrastructure in the SMO's realm and beyond. In his opening remarks, Putin says something I see as very important when it comes to Ukraine's final disposition, and I'll bold that so readers won't miss it. The rest of Putin's text reveals how Russia deals with its citizens that have suffered the loss of their home due to whatever causes and how it differs quite markedly with that of the West:

Vladimir Putin: Dear colleagues, good afternoon!

At the end of last year, at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, a special solution was proposed in the field of housing construction, it concerns the new regions of the south-west of Russia-the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. In these regions of the Russian Federation, we are launching mortgages at a preferential rate of two percent. The corresponding Government decree has already been issued.

The introduction of preferential mortgages should serve to develop construction projects in new and, in fact, in our long-standing, historical territories, increase the volume of housing commissioning here and generally increase the rate of recovery of cities and towns.

Where the fighting has ended, such work has already been launched, social facilities are being put into operation: kindergartens, schools, hospitals, polyclinics, and public infrastructure, roads, and communication networks are being repaired.

I would like to thank all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that provide assistance to new regions, direct financial resources, specialists, construction teams and equipment to their restoration.

Let me also remind you that at the federal level, there is a procedure for supporting citizens and regions in case of loss or damage to property.

I want to emphasize that the state will always help those who are in trouble. We will do everything possible to ensure that people are not left alone with their problems.

I propose to devote today's meeting to a very important issue, namely, support for residents of Crimea, Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, whose homes and apartments in the border areas were damaged or destroyed due to the shelling of neo-Nazi formations.

Last week, if you noticed, I had a meeting with the governor of the Belgorod region, and he reported in detail on the situation in his region, what kind of assistance is being provided to people through the Belgorod region. As a result of the meeting, specific instructions were given on additional measures in this regard, as well as on a whole range of other areas, and, of course, I ask you to ensure the implementation of everything that is planned.

Of course, the priority task is to eliminate the very possibility of shelling, but this is a matter for the military department.

Many people found themselves in a difficult situation: they lost their homes, were forced to move to relatives or temporary places of residence, and faced interruptions in the supply of water, heat, and electricity.

I would like to draw the attention of my colleagues in the Government and in the local areas: the problems for citizens are very acute, they need to repair or compensate for the loss of houses, apartments, and other property, as well as restore energy, heat, and water supply facilities to normal operation. I emphasize that the solution of these tasks should not be stalled, get bogged down in bureaucratic procedures. You need to act quickly and efficiently.

And one more issue on the agenda, it concerns support for citizens who have lost their homes due to emergencies: flooding, floods, fires. This refers, of course, to the entire territory of the Russian Federation where these events took place.

In these cases, actions are planned through the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Construction and industry ministries and departments. We are talking about lump-sum payments and allowances, as well as financial assistance to victims. In addition, federal resources are being used to restore educational, health, and cultural facilities.

I suggest that we discuss the results of this work over the past year: have we managed to do everything we planned, have we done it in full? And of course, we will touch on problematic issues, if they remain, of course.

Let's move on to the agenda. A word to Marat Shakirzyanovich Khusnullin.

The meeting with the governor of the Belgorod region, Vladimir Gladkov, can be found here, and opens thusly:

"I agree with you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, that today security issues, what is related to the operational situation, are what people are most concerned about, because of what people are most worried about.

"Starting from April 2022, we will introduce a 'yellow' level of terrorist danger in the territory of [the Belgorod Region] every two weeks after sabotage attacks from Ukraine. In 15 localities, we have introduced an emergency situation at the municipal level: the population does not live in these localities, with the exception of a few dozen people who flatly refuse to leave. Of course, we work with them every day, and we reduce this number. About 6.5 thousand people are already de facto refugees in the Belgorod region. Some of them live in temporary accommodation centers – we have placed them in hotels in Belgorod, in sanatoriums, dispensaries. I am grateful to the governors of the Moscow and Tula regions: about a thousand people left our country and they welcomed us like family."

Much more can be gleaned from that meeting as to the repercussions Russians have experienced as a result of the SMO, and this is only one of several affected regions. But as you read, Russia's response isn't at all like that of Bush and FEMA to Katrina, etc.

Not certain what active NATO troops really means tossed around in social media but to me it says exactly that and makes little sense. It would take 30 seconds to release a soldier, the time it takes to sign a prepared form. Any necessary legislation can be by decree and even retroactive. I would be a sign of serious neglect on the part of any western military not to take 30 seconds to legally release a soldier to become a mercenary and have necessary plausible deniability.

I'm sure there is legislation that allows them to maintain their benefits, accrue pension time, and missed salary can be recouped as a signing bonus when they return to active duty. I really doubt they are active NATO soldiers.

Something weirder, or could simply be Belorussians, Chechens, or even Russians fighting for Ukraine with family still in Russia.

1) Ukrainian fascist organizations have a lineage that goes back to the Nazi collaborators in western Ukraine. It is a direct link, not a re-creation of an ideology done by frustrated males who live in their parent's basement.
2) Many cities in Ukraine have statutes of Stepan Bandera, and streets named in his honor. Bandera was a genocidal mass murderer. Many high Ukrainian officials, including Gen. Zaluhsny have openly declared their admiration of Bandera.
3) In Lviv and some other Ukrainian cities, annual torchlit parades are held to celebrate Ukraine's SS garrison from WW2. Other countries formed their own SS units, but only Ukraine still celebrates theirs.
4) The fascist organizations (too many to mention) in Ukraine have made many statements of their racial superiority. Poles, Slavs, Jews, Roma, and especially Russians are considered untermenchen, and treated as such.
5) Ukraine is only country that legitimized Nazi paramilitaries like Azov by incorporating them into the government and providing them with weapons of war.
6) Same old tired argument that extremists don't matter because they don't hold seats in Parliament. In the 1920's it was widely known that the Klan ran the governments of a number of US states. Or that organized crime ran New York City in the 1970's. Neither did so by winning elections. Intimidation, extortion, bribery - thuggish tactics that the Ukronazis use to control the government in Ukraine. A judge, prosecutor, mayor, legislator who chooses to go against them will not last long - 'nice family you got there, shame if something happened to them.' That's what they told Zelensky - he would be found hanging from a lamppost if he tried to make peace with Russia.
7) The 'more moderate' Svoboda? You've got to be joking.
8) 9) 10) etc etc etc

The commander of DPR sed in an interview with Scott Ritter that the Nazis are bands of thugs which were initially hired by Ukrainian oligarchs to do their dirty work for them. Tiny hat oligarchs, all of them. Ritter blinked coz he knew instantly where this was going, and being the wimp he is, avoided drilling deeper.
The Nazi epithet is a nice smokescreen behind which the real perpetrators of all the carnage and corruption in Ukraine hide. The same people who'se ancestors murdered Czar Nicholas in order to steal his gold and diamonds, rape RUssia and subject it's people to 90 years of misery. The same people who essentially run the US State Department, US Treasury and US intelligence agencies. And who control congress. A tight-knit band of thugs, all of the same ethnicity. Whose ancestors hail from the very area around the Black Sea. That's the real dirty secret.

Today, Lavrov met with Paul de Gaulle and this readout was published:

"On February 1, in Moscow, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with a French public figure, the grandson of General Charles de Gaulle, P. de Gaulle.

"During the conversation, key trends in global and regional processes, their impact on Russia's relations with France and Western countries as a whole, which are experiencing a deep crisis, were touched upon. It was emphasized that Russia highly appreciates the objective assessments of the current geopolitical situation promoted by P. de Gaulle, his regular speeches in the media calling on the West to abandon hegemonic aspirations and return to broad cooperation with our country in building a new more just world order. The active participation of P. de Gaulle in the implementation of public projects initiated by the Russian side was noted."

Also of interest besides Zakharova's Weekly Briefing is this interview "of the Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for Cooperation in the Field of Ensuring the Right to Freedom of Religion, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Gennady Askaldovich to the Rossiya Segodnya News Agency" that concerns the war being waged on Russian Orthodoxy by the West as revealed by the opening question:

"In recent months, the situation with the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has escalated to the limit. The apotheosis was the recent denial of access to the clergy of the canonical UOC to two churches of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the beginning of the process of confiscating the shrines of the Lavra in favor of the so-called Orthodox Church of Ukraine. How would you comment on these developments?"

Many will judge this interview important as it certainly is in the broader sense where we see the West trampling on what it claims to be its tolerance for all religions.

Scott Ritter regarding German tanks (my emphasis on the Vicki the Hut quotation):

Zakharova stared into the camera, addressing the German people: “The day that it was allowed that Leopard tanks should be sent to Ukraine is historical because it has cemented the thing that we talked about, that Germany has completely lost sovereignty. And Scholz has just signed the loss of independent German foreign policy forever.”

Zakharova needed no help reinforcing her last point — she got all the help she needed from U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, who during testimony before the U.S. Senate on Friday bragged to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz that, “Like you, I am, and I think the administration is, very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea.”

Question is is Paul de Gaulle soloing or the spokesman for a power group within the French elite to spearhead a counter narrative and counter policy to Macron and NATO? A meeting with Lavrov might imply the latter.

nice blinders you got on there, be a shame if something happened to them!!

Seriously, do you think that every citizen in Germany in 1939 subscribed to the Nazi ideology? no, the vast majority of the population and even the military weren't Nazi's...

They lived under the thumb of Nazi's, that's why Hitler had his SS, those hit squads do the same thing as the Azov and others in Ukraine, they force conscription at the point of a gun, and they torture and kill anyone who resists or tries to start a revolution to send a message to anyone else who might get ideas.

you don't need 100% of a population to take control of a government and military, hell, if the USA is any indication you don't even need 1%!!

Posted by: Oldcutlas | Feb 1 2023 16:59 utc | 20

As to the Azov groups, to me they are the key to the whole war. They maintained the threat to Zelensky and others who could have stopped the path to war. They were, in effect, a hard veto on anything else but armed conflict. They have destroyed Ukraine, regardless of who got elected or disagreed. If they are identified as Nazis incorrectly, it seems like a mere technicality

The video and the soon to be completed transcript of Maria Zakharova's Weekly Briefing is here. As noted, the transcript is not yet complete and appears to currently end with the update on Ukraine, which is very long as usual. This paragraph sets the tone for that part of the briefing:

"On January 29 of this year, workers who carried out repair work on the railway bridge in the Zaporozhye region came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, four of them were killed, five were injured. To this day, the Kiev regime calls the people in these territories (formerly part of Ukraine, now regions of Russia) 'theirs.' 'For their sake' arrange all this carnage. Until the last one? Interesting logic is obtained. Is Bankova so much 'loved' of people that they are ready for any sacrifices among them? That's the answer to why we had to protect territories, regions and people. For eight years, we have done everything possible to use political influence and implement the political will enshrined in the Minsk agreements. Poroshenko, who signed these documents, once again said that the Minsk agreements were needed solely to increase the military strength of the Kiev regime. No one in Kiev pursued any other goals and objectives. Another proof of what we have said repeatedly." [My Emphasis]

Again, I point to the great significance of Putin's remarks I cited above. They carry great weight like his comment about Galicia.

German Vice Chancellor Opposes Deliveries of Fighter Jets to Ukraine

German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck said Wednesday that it would be wrong to provide Ukraine with fighter jets as Berlin seeks to avoid being "dragged into the war."

"I will say that I do not think it is right to supply fighter jets now," Habeck said on the air of the ZDF broadcaster.
When asked by a journalist to clarify whether such a move would be wrong only now or in general, the vice chancellor clarified that he did not think it was right to supply fighter jets "in general."

The vice chancellor noted that throughout the conflict, Germany has tried to find a balance, in other words "to give Ukraine as much support as possible, avoiding that Germany itself, or Europe, or the whole world be dragged into the war."[.]

Here we go with the Ukrainians are Nazis bit.

It is so fucking stupid and old.

Not even Putin's Russia is propagandizing with this line anymore.

Bandera was a wannabe Nazi, Russophobe. And the Ukrainians of today have generational memories of their grandfathers suiting up to fight tbe Bolshevik menance alongside Germany. But that does not make the current Ukraian belligerents "Nazis."

Nazism has nothing to do with this fight but is only used as a topical term for two reasons:

1) Russia used the term Nazi at the outset to both rally his people by evoking the Great Patriotic War and in the vain hope that a western midwit audience would take the bait and recognize the Ukrainians as the loaded-term, "Nazi."

2) It is still used by dyed-in-the-wool Bolsheviks, very much in this bar as well, to render all globalist phenomenon as Nazi. They will often reference Operation: Paperclip as evidence that the Nazis escaped and dissolved into the west. Nevermind that the Bolsheviks did the exact same thing, taking the spoils of German technology and capturing scientists.

They will also spout out nonsense that Jewish Banks funded the Nazis. Judea declared war on Germany in 1933...Larry Romanov has a piece up on unz just today that dispells the false notion by Bolsheviks that western banking was the impetus for the NSDAP's success. This was obviously not the case but rather the result of shrewd nationalist economic policies that reversed the course of Weimar and inspired the irate fury of the west that was being proven wrong by Germany.

The West knows what losses in manpower the Armed Forces incur. They receive this information from their sources within the Ukrainian system. This case was raised at many recent meetings between Ukrainian representatives and Western intelligence agencies and military officials.

The main task that the Western partners set for Zelensky is to compensate for the losses in manpower, Ze promised to do this as soon as possible. Thus, the scale of mobilization in Ukraine has increased. Under this and many other conditions, Western military assistance was issued.

Now the Office of the President is faced with the main problem - a drop in combat and morale in the army, into which men are forcibly driven, but thereby weakening the military machine from the inside.

There is information that the task of the Office of the President is to provoke a second wave of mobilization in Russia, which, according to Western analysts, will reduce Putin's authority in the Russian Federation before the elections and become a good "info-ground" for protests and destabilization.

Our source reports that a massive customs clearance is a common redistribution of spheres of influence. The people of Kirill Timoshenko and the late Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Monastyrsky are being removed, and so on. But beautifully packaged, it's in the fight against corruption and system upgrades.

Also, another source indicates that this is a requirement of the Western lobby, which promised to “suspend” criminal cases against Zelensky’s entourage and the OP, and in return will receive large quotas for their people in many law enforcement agencies, especially in customs, where the turnover of “black cash” is calculated in billions.

This is not a purge - this is a redistribution.

Done by Azov and Kraken. US controls those entities and wants to cover up identities as much as possible.

Recall that during Azovstal siege in Mariupol, there were rumors that they also killed some Nato staff in there, under orders of someone from Nato to avoid them being captured or discovered. Apparently political stakes and potential for bargaining were so high. UAF sent for several weeks many helicopter raids in an attempt to extract people from Azovstal. They attempted to fly different routes, over Azov sea or inland but they weren't too successful attempts losing those helicopters.

Note: MOD Clobber List, averaged over the entire 342 days of the SMO, so far, per day(24hrs):

1.1 aircraft

0.6 helicopters,

8.8 unmanned aerial vehicles,

1.2 surface-to-air missile systems,

22.5 tanks and other armored combat vehicles,
(Equivalent of over 2 AFU Tank/Mech Battalions 'DESTROYED' (100%) every three days)

11.6 field artillery, guns and mortars,

@ LightYearsFromHome 19

He is Pierre de Gaulle, Banker-Economist, grandson of former president, the late Charles de Gaulle.

It was Charles De Gaulle's pressure (1960s he demanded to redeem USD$ held in France for gold) that led to Nixon taking the US off the gold standard.

Pierre de Gaulle is one of the the lone voices: here

and a high recommend of the full interview:Here. Not one for parsing words. Blunt.

Agoravox: Grandson of President de Gaulle accuses the US and the EU of robbing Russia and France's Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of the great general, has long gone against the mainstream press in France, but his interview in Agoravox is just a shock.

He not only defended Russia and called for the trial of the executioners of Donbass. He also said something about the "freezing of assets" of Russia abroad, comparing it to the robbery of Jews.

The Franco-Russian Dialogue Association offers an exclusive interview with Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of the great general-president, a financier by profession.[.]

[on Merkel's Treachery]

[To be friends with Russia – in the name of French patriotism]

[European Commission – shelter of thieves]

[If Paris and Berlin had kept their promises, there would have been no war in 2015.]

[We continue to buy from Russia…]

In this crisis, Russia, in my opinion, is correctly reorienting its political, economic and financial centers to work with the East.
She will be one of the arbiters of Eurasia, a beautiful continent of the future that will unite Europe and Asia, where new decision–making centers will appear.

Unfortunately, Europe has deprived itself of an absolutely fantastic opportunity to work with Eurasia right now, even though it knew that Eurasia is a self-sufficient continent.

Therefore, I would also like to condemn the hypocrisy of the sanctions regime: we swear, but we continue to buy Russian oil, because we cannot do without it. We continue to buy Russian gas, we continue to buy industrial metals. 60% of industrial metals on the world markets are produced in Russia. (emphasis added)

And I thought Brits were the masters of understatement!

U.S. Company Offers Advanced Drones to Ukraine for One Dollar, With Some Costs

Sale of long-range, high-speed Reaper unmanned aircraft would require Biden administration approval

A U.S. weapons maker is offering to sell the Ukraine government two Reaper MQ-9 drones for a dollar to help the country defend itself as it prepares for an expected Russian offensive.

The deal would require Kyiv to spend about $10 million to prepare and ship the aircraft to Ukraine, and about $8 million each year for maintenance and sustainment of the older model drones, which currently aren't
being used in Ukraine.

The proposal would include a ground control station to operate the drones almost anywhere, according to a letter reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The proposal was made by Linden Blue, chief executive officer of General Atomics, which makes the Reapers, to Ukraine's defense attaché in Washington last week.

Got to admire the chutzpah of the sales rep who came up with this. Looking on the bright side, the maintenance cost would be minimal.

Not sure if it just me, or if it really happening, but the current "zeitgeist" seems to be Ukraine is certainly losing amongst even the most pro-Ukrainian crowds.
Pro-Ukrainians I follow on different social media are either eerily quiet concerning news from Ukraine or explicitly saddened.
Now comes the most dangerous times.
NATO must either watch Kiev fall, and endure the shame, or enter directly to stop Russian offensives.
I have a really bad feeling the insane US/UK/EU leaders will attempt to stop Russia directly.

Would be a severe escalation if UA used (better: got order from the US to use) the long range GLSDB ammo they are going to receive from Evil Empire to undo this progress again. The range covers Mariupol. See map here. This might easily become the straw that breaks the camel's back and make RF to declare war, or at least unleash the Iskanders towards Kiew and Lwow.

Maybe they are better described as fascists, with a fetish for displaying Nazi regalia. The invocation of a mythical homeland, the scapegoating of ethnicities that aren't 'pure' Ukrainian, the attempts at racial cleansing of same, the use of violent gangs of thugs to control society, the symbolism. It's all there. You'd think Timothy Snyder might have picked up on it.

Regarding Pierre De Gaulle.

Unfortunately, he's an absolut nobody in the french political class. He doesn't have the support from any significant political party and he's just some kind of legacy nobility representative, the "grandson of who you know", whom the media sometimes consult when they remember a long lost era when France was a sovereign state, the third space power with its french made stallite launched into orbit by a french made rocket, a civil and militar nuclear power, and when his grandfather asked the yanks to get their bases out of France and pulled out from NATO...

Today I would say that 90% of the French don't know him apart from his last name, and he of course has been branded recently as "prorussian" by the MSM after declaring that Russia was a major key player not to be missed and regretting the servile attitude of France towards NATO.

Apart from a support coming from the army and traditionalists in very difficult times, and a "nation gatherer" statute, I cannot see a future as president for him. It is interesting to see the russians giving him some credit. Maybe they expect the fall of Macron and very violent events in France before 2027 ?

According to the trans-woketard religion in the name of which the empire is prosecuting this war, the "differently abled" are just as capable of any job as the "ableist".

Indeed, according to what I read the empire's own armed forces have lowered their recruitment standards to the point that recruiting the blind isn't far off. So it would seem that their proxy and representative Ukraine, after all a representative model society according to the imperial propaganda, also is showing the progressive path to global utopia in this sense as well.

Is possible but there are more important targets than a hole in wall. In Donetsk they use different types of artillery and missiles, it's easier to destroy and terrorize. With 150km they can target chemicals, oil and gas pipes, factories, ammo or oil storage, barracks. Something that could create protests in Russia and lower Putin's approval rating is exactly what they're looking for.

If the genuine racial nationalists in Ukraine such as Right Sektor, Svoboda, Azoz, etc. decided to point their guns at the Kiev regime instead of at Russia, the supposed "Nazi" problem in Ukraine would disappear overnight and would not be mentioned again by the Kremlin.

Posted by: ReinhardVonSiegfried | Feb 1 2023 18:32 utc | 62

Reference to the tanks.... Russian estimates that NATO has committed to at least 300 MBT regardless of the official confusing narrative...they base this estimate by the scale of issue of 17 ARVs....the first M88A2 armoured recovery vehicles are issued to a tank battalion a few days ago. The other interesting fact is the current issue M1 series MBT will not be sent to Ukraine because of the high probability of it being captured....the Honey comb composite armour is classified so any tanks will have to built from the ground up with the first generation armour...so any true estimate of delivery of the 31 promised vehicles is hard to forecast....I suspect any NATO tanks making it to the Ukrainian front will be leopard series tanks and they will be handily destroyed in which the depleted European inventories will be offered Abrams replacement. Makes sense...Ismay did say NATO was formed to keep the Soviet Union out...U.S in and Germany down

Downing Street has appeared to rule out sending jets to Ukraine, saying it was not practical because “these are sophisticated pieces of equipment”.

https://www.barrons.com/news/un-experts-back-ioc-on-neutral-russian-athletes-idea-01675276208
"Two UN rights experts on Wednesday commended the IOC's moves towards letting Russian athletes compete as neutrals, amid a growing row over their possible participation in the Paris 2024 Games. And they urged the International Olympic Committee to go further and lift the ban on those who actively support Russia's war in Ukraine. The special rapporteurs on cultural rights and on contemporary forms of racism, Alexandra Xanthaki and Ashwini K.P. respectively, applauded the IOC for considering allowing competitors from Russia and Belarus to take part in international sports events as neutral athletes. "We urge the IOC to adopt a decision in that direction, and to go further, ensuring the non-discrimination of any athlete on the basis of their nationality," they said in a statement.
"But the Olympic Committee, and more widely the Olympic community, have also the compelling obligation to abide by the Olympic charter, and more widely international human rights norms prohibiting discrimination. "When states so flagrantly ignore human rights, we have a greater obligation to stand in support of our common values.""

Shit, this is going to hurt.

The problem is deep, however. Putin is trying to solve it. But you have the Ukrainians with their centuries-old claim to their land, their lifestyle, and their culture, which was often at loggerheads with even Tsarist-Russia.

One thing is for certain: if the Ukes merely turn their guns the other way, their lot would increase 100-fold under Putin's forgiving and sensible hands. This conflict really boils down to their stupidity which is being exploited by the west. Yet more blood on our hands.

I remember hearing John Lennon's "Imagine" during the opening ceremonies of the Seoul Olympics, in 1988! Imagine dedicating the Olympics to a celebration of youth (!), rather than hegemonic propaganda, wretchedly orchestrated and choreographed anaesthetic for painless administration of colonial domination.

In between cooked-up doping scandals, Lennon's song has since been reprised in some Olympic contexts, usually triggering an avalanche of nationalist rage.

Give it up. With Sinophobia joining Russophobia and Islamophobia -- ascending off the charts -- there's no world left in which youth could possibly celebrate anything. Yet another intergenerational privation we elders have imposed on them.

Myself, I have gone from facist to nazi via Scott Ritter and some of the outre things I have seen -- Ukraine was the EU in 900 a.d.; RightSector-C14-Adair jugend groups; package wrap taping of Maygar, Roma, gays, lesbians and Russian speakers to telephone poles etc. etc. et al ... . These philosophy in action activities bend me over to the N word, but when I do finally let loose in public about my hatred of the odious, cancerous facist racists I will not use the N word.

A pleasant delight however above is the post recommending Postil.il Conflict in Ukraine: Genesis. I am working on it.

Since 80% of the world chose to "stay neutral", meaning they actually support RF, if the Olympic Comm bans RF athletes from participating in Paris 2024, the 80% should just pullout of Olympic 2024 and hold an alternative event in Hangzhou China on the same dates as the Paris games. France is not doing really well last few years. Been there a week ago, and nothing really works. Trains are slightly horror. People are quite worried and disillusioned, not happy. Macron could evaporate real soon, even this year, where I doubt that French people have patience until 2027.

Maybe some old-new politicians such as Attali from Socialists and such as this de Gaulle become spokespersons for some more just system (perhaps some new party, movement?) and away from NATO/US presence. If anything happens as in riots and overthrowing own respective governments France will go ahead of the Germany, while ex Eastern Germany might quickly follow French. Still, France is not so Americanised as ex West Germany is.

Hal Turner's website? Joe Biden, architect of the ameriKKKan mass incarceration, being called "anti-white"? And for this to mostly just slide by the more regular commenters, and for those who engage with those posts to quibble on the finer points of Russian war propaganda instead of telling this nazi to just go to hell, tells me that many people here who considered themselves politically non-conformist have now fully transitioned into the most vulgar WASP nationalists after tailing paleocon pseudo-isolationists for too long.

Sorry pal, but the US isn't the model for the whole world. Those phrases only apply to domestic us politics, this site is pretty international so umm yeah. Typical American lol.

@ Its still an interesting choice of words. "dragged" implies that someone is pulling you.

Posted by: Vikichka | Feb 1 2023 18:05 utc | 55

Herr Habeck is correct. Germany is a U.S. occupied territory (Ramstein) and given the WW 2 history they are being dragged into this war.

@87 not hard to miss the race baited comments of deluded haters. It took me a while to realize the antisemitic remarks and affiliated horsehockey was not a feature, just bugs trying to stain the discussion. Fairly elegant suggestion at the top about not attacking other posters and "dont feed the trolls" makes more sense than ever.
feel free to give them the attention they desire. but wear protection.

karlof1@10

V.V. Putin appears to be the only major statesman in the world. He certainly is no mere pro$titician or even politician.

Xi Jingpi ?

For an obvious start.

@89 Yeah, generalizing about people and populations is the best way forward. At least on the path we are treading.

...
Looking at the Ukrainian parliament, there is only a single seat held by nationalists, the more moderate Svoboda. The vast majority of Ukrainian parliamentarians are simply loyal to the leftist, anti-White, pro-immigration Biden.

Since you're discussing the Ukrainian parliament and alluding to leftist parliamentarians, I'll take this opportunity to bring up the suspension of ten political parties by the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine on 20 March 2022. To my knowledge this suspension still holds and most of the parties were, in fact, left leaning.

It's a shame this fact isn't brought up more often as it would help undermine western public confidence in its assignment of values and how it perceives the belligerents.

LoL "how are Ukranians nazis. Everyone has monuments and streets named after Joseph Bandera. Everyone has batallions that have nazi symbols and leaders. Jeez guys. Come on"

... the more moderate Svoboda.

Hi Tenet, nice to see the pile on here re your apparently naive whitewashing of the Ukrainian fascist problem – sieg heiling Oleg Tyahnibok's overtly neo-Nazi, historically Galician fascist, and US State Dept supported, social nationalist Svoboda Party being a case in point.

With the collapse of the USSR in 1991 the Galician fascists came out of their closets led by 'social nationalist' movements centred in Lvov such as the militant anti-Soviet, UPA inspired, youth group Spadshchina led by a young Andriy Parubiy. These groups coalesced into the Social-National Party of Ukraine whose extremist 'ethno-nationalist' ideology infected various ultra-violent nationalist movements across Ukraine 'led' by Parubiy and Tyahnibok's Svoboda party that garnered significant electoral support in the Rada up until the Yankee regime change was successful in 2014. Parubiy, a poster boy for Galician fascism and its goal of an ethnically/linguistically pure Ukraine, became Rada speaker 2014-19 and remains a member of parliament today.

The Galician fascists didn't lose in 2014 they just metastasised through every 'nationalist' anti-Russian party in the post-Euromaidan rump parliament. By 2019 the grand fascist coalition of Svoboda, Party of Yarosh, and Biletsky's National Corps (Azov movement), was soundly rejected by normal Ukrainians in favour of the Jewish comedian peace president, with just one Svoboda list member elected by their Galician voter base, but by then it was far too late! The fascists rioted and very publicly threatened their own president with death should he 'capitulate'. They control the National Guard and the Interior Ministry's National Police (also Azov), and they will kill anyone who gets in their way.

Tenet:
That's a great trap you've got there, please let me walk right into it.

I'll assume you live in or originate from somewhere in "the west".

We're all nazis now, whether we like it or not. You, me, everyone.

We ("the west": US-NATO-EU-JP-SK-AU clownland) became nazis when our governments publicly started arming and supporting ex-Ukraine where self-described nazis took power by a US-supported coup in 2014 and officially and deliberately started to attack those of their own citizens they deemed "unworthy".

There's a giant paper trail of "Ukrainian" laws and no shortage of documentation and statements directly from those who took power, you can go back several years on this site and start reading.

The only way for us to not be nazis any more is to take the power back.

First step is to tell people that we are all nazis now.

They'll refuse to believe it but maybe, just maybe, they'll start to try to pay a little bit more attention, or at least start to wonder why anyone would say that in such a friendly manner.

No, you weren't given much of a choice, but you and the rest of us are still nazis regardless.

Don't like it? Good.
Don't like the shit you're paying for? Good.
Don't like the future you're going to get? Good.
Don't like the people who gave you no say and decided on your behalf? Good.

If you don't get it today then maybe you'll get it tomorrow or somewhere down the line.

If nothing else you'll know why if/when things get really bad; someone will have told you and you will have thousands of other questions to ponder instead.

RIP the Mozart Group :(

It will be disbanded and rebranded by NATO.

Whoever chose the name "Mozart Group" really doesn't get it. While Wolfgang Amadeus wrote incredibly beautiful melodies, it was dance music. Nothing that you would ever call martial.

Contrast with Wagner, who took on the most powerful themes and wrote some of the scariest music I've ever heard.

Kinda like if you were in a bar fight, who would you rather have at your back: Keith Richards and the Rolling Stones or Neil Young and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Or perhaps, the New York Dolls or Donnie and Marie Osmond.

As for appropriate music, I have to submit Two Tribes by Frankie Goes To Hollywood

The Godley & Creme-directed video depicted a wrestling match between then-US President Ronald Reagan and Konstantin Chernenko, then Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, in front of group members and an assembly of representatives from the world's nations. The match eventually degenerates into global destruction.

Progressivism is a mental disease.

Lived experiences do not overrule objective reality. Truth is not personal but absolute.

Lack of character, stupidity and emotional instability are not a virtues. They are exploitable flaws.

There is no such thing as white nationalists. You probably mean normal people raised in functional families that have structure and norms.

Race is not identity. Culture disappears without the family unit.

Individuals, known and unknown, hold the fabric of society together. Not groups.

Democracy is a decision making mechanism, not a way of life.
