NYT On Ukraine – Real Reporting, Propaganda For Balance, Ominous Warning

Th New York Times is putting itself in a twist with its current reporting on the war in Ukraine.

Last months Ukraine was winning the war – at least in 'western' media. But this week the NYT's man on the ground reports the opposite:

Outnumbered and Worn Out, Ukrainians in East Brace for Russian Assault

Exhausted Ukrainian troops complain they are already outnumbered and outgunned, even before Russia has committed the bulk of its roughly 200,000 newly mobilized soldiers. And doctors at hospitals speak of mounting losses as they struggle to care for fighters with gruesome injuries.

The first stages of the Russian offensive have already begun. Ukrainian troops say that Bakhmut, an eastern Ukrainian city that Russian forces have been trying to seize since the summer, is likely to fall soon. Elsewhere, Russian forces are advancing in small groups and probing the front lines looking for Ukrainian weaknesses.

The efforts are already straining Ukraine’s military, which is worn out by nearly 12 months of heavy fighting.

Losses among Ukrainian forces have been severe. Troops in a volunteer contingent called the Carpathian Sich, positioned near Nevske, said that some 30 fighters from their group had died in recent weeks, and soldiers said, only partly in jest, that just about everyone has a concussion.

“It’s winter and the positions are open; there’s nowhere to hide,” said a soldier from the unit with the call sign Rusin.

At one frontline hospital in the Donbas, the morgue was packed with the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers in white plastic bags. In another hospital, stretchers with wounded troops covered in gold foil thermal blankets crowded the corridors, and a steady stream of ambulances arrived from the front nearly all day long.

"We ca not let that defeatist piece stand alone," said the editor and turned to the dimwits of the British Military Intelligence to get some 'balance':

Moscow’s forces are advancing only a few hundred meters a week, U.K. intelligence says.

As Russia makes slow, bloody gains in a renewed push to capture more of eastern Ukraine, it is pouring ever more conscripts and military supplies into the battle, Ukrainian officials say, although it remains far from clear that Moscow could mobilize enough forces to sustain a prolonged offensive.

But Britain’s defense intelligence agency said on Tuesday that Russia had been trying to launch “major offensive operations” since early last month, with the aim of capturing the rest of the Donetsk region, which includes Bakhmut. But it had “only managed to gain several hundred meters of territory per week,” because of a lack of munitions and maneuver units, the agency said in its latest daily assessment of the war.

“It remains unlikely that Russia can build up the forces needed to substantially affect the outcome of the war within the coming weeks,” the agency concluded.

One wonder what 'outcome of the war' those folks are dreaming of.

The reports from the ground leave no doubt on who is winning. Even the op-ed pages of the NYT now acknowledge it:

The problem is that Ukraine is losing the war. Not, as far as we can tell, because its soldiers are fighting poorly or its people have lost heart, but because the war has settled into a World War I-style battle of attrition, complete with carefully dug trenches and relatively stable fronts.

Such wars tend to be won — as indeed World War I was — by the side with the demographic and industrial resources to hold out longest. Russia has more than three times Ukraine’s population, an intact economy and superior military technology. At the same time, Russia has its own problems; until recently, a shortage of soldiers and the vulnerability of its arms depots to missile strikes have slowed its westward progress. Both sides have incentives to come to the negotiating table.

The last sentence is wrong. Russia has no incentive to negotiate now. It no longer has a shortage of soldiers and its ammunition points have been dispersed and camouflaged to protect them from Ukrainian HIMARS attacks. Russia keeps grinding the Ukrainian army into the ground and is ready to attack further.

But the piece then makes a correct point. The U.S. would not allow any negotiations:

The Biden administration has other plans. It is betting that by providing tanks it can improve Ukraine’s chances of winning the war. In a sense, the idea is to fast-forward history, from World War I’s battles of position to World War II’s battles of movement. It is a plausible strategy: Eighty years ago, the tanks of Hitler and Stalin revolutionized warfare not far from the territory being fought over today.

But the Biden strategy has a bad name: escalation.

With whom is Russia at war — Ukraine or the United States? Russia started the war between Russia and Ukraine. Who started the war between Russia and the United States?

Many Americans cannot resist describing Mr. Putin as a “barbarian” and his invasion of Ukraine as a “war of aggression.” For their part Russians say this is a war in which Russia is fighting for its survival and against the United States in an unfair global order in which the United States enjoys unearned privileges.

We should not forget that, whatever values each side may bring to it, this war is not at heart a clash of values. It is a classic interstate war over territory and power, occurring at a border between empires. In this confrontation Mr. Putin and his Russia have fewer good options for backing down than American policymakers seem to realize, and more incentives to follow the United States all the way up the ladder of escalation.

That is indeed the case. Russia does not want to escalate. But when the U.S. does escalate, then Russia will do it too.

Comments

The NYT is not a homogenous block. While they know that propaganda for the Democrats is their major assignment, some are there who wish to present to their readers a coherent picture. And, given the events at Bakhmut and Soledar, together with other indicators like the Ukrainian conscription methods, it becomes ever harder to ignore that the war is going downhill for NATO. So, better to prepare the readers in time than making the NYT staff look like a bunch of retarded fools.
Such an article in the NYT may become an eye opener to their audience, like the child in the fairytale pointing out that the emperor has no clothes. But how long will it take until German state TV finally gets the message? And how will they explain their continuous policy of making us believe that Ukraine is winning?
During all this time, I’ve been watching RT and checking their websites. But for someone (like most) who can’t do this, the combined impact of all the German MSM must have been overwhelming.

According to British Military Intelligence: “But Russia had only managed to gain several hundred meters of territory per week,”
Oops forgot to include the Uke soldier attrition rate yet again.
Gaining several hundred meters a week sounds like a winner to me especially when you count the dead soldiers hurled into the pit each day. But of course the BMI doesn’t ever count the dead.
The ever apparent ‘loss’ of Ukraine will be inexcusable for the west – for at least a week. Then they will charge off on some other quixotic adventure of invasion and slaughter.
These words of ‘several hundred meters’ and ‘stalemate’ and ‘exhausted’ and ‘Russia out of ammo’ and ‘Korea solution’ are used to shape public acceptance of their next ploy of a dividing line and truce… blah blah blah.
Ignore them and their balunatic prattle. But don’t ignore the fact that they have a major schism unfolding within their elite and that schism is aggravated by a prolonged war whereby the elite are seen like dogs with their foot caught in a trap.
The USA might be happy to gun down protest at home but that just might be a recipe for disaster in european countries. Perhaps sometime soon there will be public book burning of this or even Ukraine postage stamps with Bandera’s image. Time will tell.
The west have been given the solution way back in December 2021 and it was sent to them by V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation.

Perhaps it lands on Japan or in the Pacific Ocean where it will remain undetectable since fukushima radioactive contaminated water is pumped into the Pacific every day now.
The USA will be safe from that debris anyway so what me worry? 😉

Perhaps the most demonstrative way to show the utter failure of the Outlaw US Empire’s Sanctions From Hell to debilitate Russia’s economy is to read this report by Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin to President Putin that was delivered today. What’s more is Moscow now easily outranks New York and Washington DC as a major metropolitan city which is a fact that will be extremely difficult for Neocons and Neoliberals to accept, yet it’s true. Besides this report, the head of Russia’s railways reported yesterday results of a similar nature that readers can discover for themselves at the link. I’ve translated the Sobyanin Report and posted it at my VK. Here’s its opening:

Vladimir Putin: Sergey Semyonovich, we are in constant contact, and the situation in the capital as a whole is well known. Nevertheless, bearing in mind the importance of Moscow in the life of the country, in the country’s economy, of course, it is always useful to sum up some results for certain periods of time, and there is an opportunity to talk just about the results of 2022.
S. Sobyanin: Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich. With your support, Moscow has implemented a number of large-scale projects in recent years and has rightfully become one of the world’s leading megacities.
The year 2022 was a certain test for us, but in the conditions of even the most severe sanctions for Moscow, this did not serve as any obstacle to the implementation of the programs that we discussed and planned. Moreover, I believe that the next few years will bring good, high dynamics and quality of the city’s development, despite all the difficulties.
I would like to tell you about this on the example of a number of projects.
In particular, in the field of economy, Moscow ranked third in terms of gross product, taking into account purchasing power parity, among the world’s cities. We have doubled the volume of investment in five years, the volume of manufacturing industry has increased by 40 percent even without taking into account the Moscow refinery, and with the introduction of new capacities of the Moscow refinery, the volume of manufacturing industries will double in Moscow.
We are implementing a number of interesting economic projects that will drive development in the coming years. We have already talked about unmanned aerial vehicles. In Rudnevo, at the industrial complex, we have developed a large site, today there are already 120 thousand square meters of industrial space, and in the coming years it will be three times more. And the core of this industrial complex will be just unmanned aerial vehicles, which we recently looked at at MSU, at the Vorobyovy Gory INTC. In addition, a number of federal enterprises, such as Almaz-Antey, which perform strategic tasks, are also being developed there.
Another area that is very important for the country and for the city is the development of pharmaceuticals. In Zelenograd, we are currently developing a large cluster for the production of medicines, primarily vital medical products, ranging from viruses to oncology, and two-thirds of them have never been produced in Russia. We will also increase the volume of this cluster by two-thirds in the coming years, but today the largest Russian enterprises are already developing there, we provide them with all possible assistance, conclude long-term contracts, and due to this, they feel confident and develop the production of new drugs.

And the above is just the beginning as a great deal follows. And when combined with the Railroad Report, Russia’s economy will continue to grow as long as it can get labor to aid that growth as in the dead of Russian Winter, unemployment is @3%, and that’s no lie.

“With whom is Russia at war — Ukraine or the United States? Russia started the war between Russia and Ukraine. Who started the war between Russia and the United States?”
You have to love the America media. They are the most disingenuous bastards on the planet with their retarded questions, which are designed to obscure more than they enlighten.
In particular, these questions obscure the reality that Ukraine War has *always* been a war between the America-led West and Russia (and its allies). Always.
Moreover, this war did not begin in February 2022 with the Russian intervention but rather has been a low-intensity proxy war since 2014, if not before, with the Maidan coup and subsequent Ukraine war against the Donbas Republics, which Russia somewhat supported. The Americans and West have been arming, bankrolling, and militarizing Ukraine since at least 2014 under both Democrat and Republican regimes from Barack Obama to Donald Trump and now to Joe Biden.
A better question is: will Western regimes will start crawling out of the closet and finally admit this reality, as the German leader Annalena Baerbock partially did when she blurted out that “we [Germany and the collective West] are at war with Russia.”

Division into thirds is almost as natural to humans as is division in halves. Left, Center, Right. Three hands to a foot, four inches to a hand. If you put one, two, three, or four marbles in a bowl, most people will just know how many their are at a glance. They can’t easily discern nine or eleven from ten. Cutting s block of cheese into thirds is “natural.” So is cutting each of those in halves.
If I had ten people to divide cheese between, I’d cut it into twelve pieces and eat the two remaining. Or, if being watched, leave the two for whoever finishes first.
Many bases have been used in history, and base twelve was common. Our base ten system was devised by the Romans so that people who knew no math could use counting sticks for common math. The stick had notches, and the person moved their fingernail up one notch for each item. Every tenth one had an “X” beside it, the ones halfway in between, a “V.” They could then write down all of the V’s and X’s and “remainder” I’s without any understanding of writing or math.
Similarly, they could start at the bottom and move up for each X, then Vs, then Is. Still, no knowledge of math or reading was needed.
The option before that was to move a stone from one bowl or bag to another, such as one for each animal let out of a pen, and move it back when the animal returned. However, there was no way to recover from an error.
Roman counting boards, similar to abacus, were similar, but could do math operations. Boards, “counters,” were where people “checked out” at stores. (They carried their own stones in bags generally around their necks.)
We have ancient abacus in many bases including hexadecimal and up to base 60. Our use of base ten is only because of the Roman Empire’s number system. It isn’t as useful as some of the other bases, such as 12 or 16.

It’s a common Westernaganda practice that one saw in Syria too: try to pretend battles that have been going on for weeks or already won by the “wrong side” are still ongoing, or even have “just begun”. That’s why I was not surprised that they didn’t admit the fall of Soledar for weeks.

Quite right. When “value” diverges from “price” then what actually is the “value”?
At the risk of dragging things even more off-topic, the “value” of Japanese government bonds is what they are issued at, but nobody can find out the ”price” because the BoJ buys them all at their “value”. Some time ago ZH observed that days can pass without a trade on the JGB market. I think that is called illiquidity.

These days it is just a matter of time on the internet before someone reduces everything to be the fault of the patriarchy and social constructs based on power.
Much of what we call reality is based on the last 8000 years of authority. The domination of nature, women, classes, racial groups, nation states, empires- authority and domination social constructs lie at the root of so much. Integration at all levels of society, the universalism of rights, multipolarity, globalization, the rise of women’s status globally, general realization of war as obsolete; these represent the trends struggling against the authority of the controlling father-authority and patriarchy, the warrior.

Conscientous objection is a human right. Refugees in the West must not be returned to Ukraine if they object conscription. The UN’s view is that article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights includes the right to conscientous objection.
In case the West succumbs to Ukraine’s demand to send back male refugees, THEY VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS.
source:hxxps://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/2022-05/EBCO-HRC50.pdf – page 3 (the link doesn’t post, replace xx for tt)
On a side note: IMO, this does not not only cover refugees (who fled death and destruction etc.), but also those who just took advantage and paid to seek better economic prospects in the West (“refugees”). In dubio pro reo. The times of the Holy Inquisition are over, aren’t they? – I know of the difficulties prior to the SMO; A lady from UA who was denied a German work visa for many months in spite of having studied IT in Austria and Germany, where she got a master degree. The urge to forcibly return economic migrants was already strong before the SMO. – Now that the “ruin Russia” policies backfire by producing millions of refugees and “refugees”, the West must foot this bill as well. Or violate universal human rights. Take a guess what will happen…

Barstool and Oriental Voice. Real life and Nature are most assuredly NOT binary. It is merely often convenient heuristically to view things two at a time. How else do you explain starfish? And there are countless other examples in nature. Your interpretation of “yin and Yang” is also incomplete; the ‘two halves’ in the classical diagram mutually penetrate and influence each other all along their border. But this is philosophy and epistemology, certainly off topic here.

Getting the T-62s out of inventory is desirable (because they already have thousands of stored T-72s) but the T-62 has one advantage: By most accounts they are easier machines to train for and effectively operate. Russia sent them to the Syrians for that very reason. If the Russians wanted to beef up the LPR and DPR militias, with a minimum of delay, modestly upgraded T-62s would let them do that. That’s what I suspected was at the heart of the T-62 shipment at the time.

Yeah, the woke think of themselves as the absolute force for doing good. We know that. The crusaders believed also that they were world improvers.
The patriarchy is the source of all evil, yeah right. Not the distortions of reality brought by the woke culture of not only demanding but forcing equal outcomes. This today degenerated in what they call “equity” but which is just a fancy name for failing to accept one’s own bad choices, individual stupidity and lack of character. Demanding that others pay for that and if they dont yield, cancel away!
As every good movement, it does have merits and valid points. Racism is a problem, power structures do exist. But the woke are not the way to solve that. They are just a product of an easy privileged life looking for a waybto live with it. Russia and the RoW will bring them to their senses.

If the government has bought their own bonds that they issued and moved them from their left pocket to their right pocket. The question you should be asking is why did they issue the bonds in the first place ?
Then you quickly realise there is no need to issue bonds. All the domestic population needs are Granny bonds.

That is absolutely ridiculous. The numbering system doesn’t matter as long as one is either consistently in one base or is aware when switching bases. My first physics, biology, and chemistry courses used the English system, so all constants were in that system and no conversians were needed. My later degrees were all mostly done using the metric system.
When I write code, I put all conversion factors in defined constants. Even the accepted value of the Universal Gravitational Constant has changed multiple times, so I would never hardcode a value elsewhere.
The hubris to assume that one hasn’t worked in “Science” because they suggest using a different measuring system probably points to a student who hasn’t had much experience. It could also reflect a technician trying to learn about the field in which they are working. The fact is that both your calculator and computer store your numbers in hexadecimal, base 16, or higher, and processes it in some multiple of that base.
We did lose a spacecraft because the European, (I think British,) programmer assumed that the US data was metric even though the specification called for English units. Both sides were “working in science [engineering.]”

Whatever happens to the nuclear material in an ICBM hit in flight by an ultrasonic missle would be far less damaging than it causing a nuclear explosion near the ground. The most likely scenario is that no nuclear reaction would occur and all parts nuclear material would be removed by the recovery team. Nuclear materials used in bombs are solid metals. Yes, that gels with what I’m seeing as well. Might be too early to call Artemyovsk/Bakhmut as liberated yet, but it’s looking irretrievable for the Ukies. The last major road intersection out is fire-covered if not yet fully captured by the Allied forces.

Also just seen this at Military Chronicle:

Ukrainian troops in Ugledar shot a group of Polish mercenaries, said Jan Gagin, adviser to the acting head of the DPR. “According to our data, on the night of Sunday to Monday in Ugledar, Ukrainian units shot a group of foreign servicemen, presumably Poles. In recent weeks, confrontations between Ukrainian and Polish units have become more frequent. This is evidenced by intelligence data, including radio intercepts, ” he said.

“Do you often struggle to count to ten?”
I try to avoid counting to ten. My anger doesn’t seem to go away like it used to.
Try cutting a block of cheese with a knife into eight equally sized parts. It’s very easy. All one does is half parts.
Try cutting another one into ten equally sized parts. For me, at least, it isn’t easy. Half, but then eyeball fifths? That just isn’t a natural human action. If exactness was required, I’d need to use a tool to measure it, and would probably still not be very precise.
The English system of measures, while not perfect, is far better than the metric one for human use. Most of it is based on powers of two. Humans, without using calibrated tools designed for the purpose, do not work well with powers of ten.

It was and remains to strategic objective to constrain, threaten and weaken Russia by interfering with trade, interfering with finance, intervening in otherwise potentially symbiotic relations. This being done in coordination with many of the worlds largest economic powers. This damages Russia and also forces nations to chose sides and for those wishing to gain favor to demonstrate their loyalty to the cause.
The cause is of course the financial and (such as it is) the military domination of the rest of the world. Of course empire can be quite imposing, but can also be quite draining. It is a bit telling that the US is having to again raise its debt ceiling and that the debt is quite large compared to gdp and that there is even some question about the reality of the gdp numbers. Well whatever the reality, it does in reality make a small portion of the western population richer by the day.
The financial war has been a mixed bag. A clearly the western mic was salavating at the propect of a long, intense and large scale war. There is no shortage of money or resources but still it is a very large undertaking which will require time and the war may have peaked a bit early and the public are not buying it in spite of 24 hour propaganda from all angles. And then there is the planning for war with China (insane as that seems) and makes even a “diplomat” of Blinkens calibre wonder is it really a good use of resources to be throwing more money into the tar-baby of Ukraine. And will it become difficult to hide the casualties.
What is a blood-thirsty neocon or war monger to do?

” The US Debt Clock recently showed total US (government and citizen) liabilities exceeding assets for the first time”
Impossible you will find it is a mistake – balance sheets balance.

Clearly, you don’t know anything about balance sheets! Assets don’t have to equal liabilities for a balance sheet to balance. Almost always, one will exceed the other. For instance, in situations where liabilities exceed assets, the entity is deemed insolvent.

Government liabilities are assets of the non government sector period.

Er, no. That’s complete and utter nonsense.

Re: New York Times op-ed

The problem is that Ukraine is losing the war. Not, as far as we can tell, because its soldiers are fighting poorly or its people have lost heart, but because the war has settled into a World War I-style battle of attrition, complete with carefully dug trenches and relatively stable fronts.

The war is a WWI-style battle of attrition only on the Ukrainian side. Russians are not sitting in trenches. They are driving around in tanks or firing artillery from ten miles away. I have not seen a single photo or video of Russian troops in trenches, except when storming them.
The idea of a Russian battalion tactical group is that it is fully mobile and fully armored. Every man has a seat in a tank or an IFV. This makes it largely immune to enemy artillery. The best way to avoid a shell is to move somewhere else. A side effect is that the Russian lines are very fluid. Villages are taken and then abandoned, only to be fought over again.

National parks, military bases have absolutely NOTHING to do with the national debt. The debt clock is taking the piss. Pure propaganda on an epic scale. They don’t belong on ANY balance sheet. As they are a government asset with zero liabilities anywhere or to anybody.

My comment on binary measuring systems was because I was thinking about volume. US Customary fluid measures, volume, are powers of two from Dram to Gallon. (Teaspoon is an exception made because of the price of tea from China dropped rapidly. It was s British thing.)
The English system of weights are powers of two from drams to pounds.
Lengths aren’t as consistent because there are some multiples of three.
The human brain easily deals with doubling and halfing. Dividing into thirds generally works OK. We can usually eyeball it fairly accuratly. It does almost as well with multples of three. It doesn’t deal with powers of ten well at all. Try cutting a string into ten equal parts without measuring. How’d ya do? Dividing in half by just looking at it is fairly easy, but dividing a half into fifths by eyeballing it? Doesn’t really work.
The artificially created metric system does not work well for humans. It wasn’t designed for humans.

This has got to be the most ridiculous defense of the indefensible that I have seen this year, but I don’t delude myself that it won’t be amply superseded.

I think you’re (deliberately?) missing barstool’s point here. Having a base-10 system of measurements is great if you’re working with numbers as symbols. Doing math, essentially. But that we use 10 “digits” is only because, through accident of evolution, we have 10 “digits” on our hands.
If you’re using numbers with objects in the real world, halves-and-doubles is a much more human way to do it, for all the reason’s that barstool has pointed out. Also, the fact that we have two hands (why halves is easier) is a much more stable and popular strategy in the animal kingdom.
I’ll let you keep the squid and the starfish — you can start a decimal aquarium :p

‘Cui Heng, an assistant research fellow from the Center for Russian Studies of East China Normal University, told the Global Times on Tuesday that the US has benefited from the conflict – weakening Russia while strengthening its control over Europe – and also made quite awesome gains by selling energy, weapons and grains. No wonder the US wants the conflict to continue.
As the conflict prolongs, European assets would be forced to flee to the US, helping the US to rein in inflation and secure the dollar hegemony; while in the political terms, the conflict has become US President Joe Biden’s political assets and would be a useful part of his campaign for the 2024 elections, Cui said.
The US, despite gaining short-term profits from energy and arms trade, will eventually lose, as the international community has increasingly noticed the untrustworthy nature of the US hegemony. De-dollarization and de-hegemony have become more and more a global consensus, Song said.

Russia apparently has or had a large number of T-62s in storage. It appears that Russia might have also had a large quantity of 115mm ammunition for these tanks which is not compatible with the newer tanks that mount 125 mm cannon.
Given the prevalence of guided antitank missiles on the battlefield, it would make sense to deploy these older T-62s in secondary roles and as decoys for Ukrainian missiles. While a 115mm will not destroy a modern tank, it will do just fine against bunkers or troops. Every missile that is aimed at a T-62 that has been parked in the battlespace then abandoned is one less missile that can target newer tanks. Russia might have even set them up with remote control to provide moving targets to draw enemy fire. Every antitank missile launcher and crew that fires at decoys exposes themselves to counter fire from Russian tanks and missiles.
The bottom line is that I can think of many reasons for Russia to use these old tanks.

The one constant on the battlefield since the invasion has been Russian artillery. From day one Ukraine has been unable to stop or even limit it. Ukraine gets a “wonder weapon” every so often but that quickly gets neutralized. Russian artillery, however, just keeps on pounding. At this point its predictable and unceasing but there’s nothing that Ukraine has (or could be given) that can stop it even though they know its coming. It’s just a meat grinder that innocent Ukrainians are being fed into.

Weeb Union is getting more and more impressive. Latest one has some very clear and close-in map-studies and the major moves, mostly along the northern fronts that the RF forces in large numbers are likely to make…and soon. The proposals are that those units will sweep from the north and westwards from Seversk and Artemovsk/Bakhmut.
Discrepancy in numbers of troops could easily be three to one and that in equipment totally daunting. It’s as clear a projection as I’ve seen to date and probability factor is up there.

Thanks for the Moscow mayor’s report to VVP, an ambitious and enviable record of public infrastructure development — housing, public transportation, industry, healthcare, communications, etc. Another area where the US is falling behind, coasting on, and neglecting, a prior generation’s great legacy.
Indeed a great deal follows at your link. Along with efficient infrastructure and economic vitality, a key contributor to a city’s livability is its urban planning and design image — the community architecture of integral public open space networks, including plazas, monuments, memorials, parks, waterfronts, streetscapes with pedestrian space, urban forestry, etc. Moscow has that synergy. Always enjoyed images of and films set in Moscow, and was impressed to read on your link that work is proceeding on a detailed digital 3d model of the entire city and environs, above- and below-ground, for ongoing wholistic planning. Wish I could participate.

Tongiht’s Redacted site features a a video which goes into how people who have Bank of America accounts are finding that there are discrepancies in their accounts and that they can no longer pull cash out of the system. Whether this “accounting error” is systematic throughout that major bank is the case or not, they did not address. An act of Congress several years ago set up a bail-in system for the banks where even the FDIC system may no longer be able to bail out smaller account holders.

Tellin’ ya they’ve found a remarkable cocktail of amphetamines, nootropics and anti-senility agents for sure. I’m sure they pump him full of it for any time he might be out in public among the rabble or giving monotone meaningless speeches.
Glad to hear Blinken looked nervous. Fuck that guy.

Back in September 2022, we insided out that Zelensky was preparing mobilization 2.0 with the mass capture of men, as there were huge losses at the front that would only increase.
At that moment, the talking heads in the person of Mikhail Podolyak lied to the Western press that this would not happen.
Now there is a “hunt for men” on the streets, but propagandists continue to lie to Ukrainians that nothing is happening and this is Mosfilm (as NSDC Secretary Danilov said).
At that moment, information about increased mobilization was thrown again through Arestovich in order to understand the reaction of society. The reaction was negative and Bankovaya decided to implement this case quietly, not recognizing that there was an intensified mass mobilization.
It is for such stuffing that the OP used and is using Arestovich. So listen to Lyosha between the lines.

The Office of the President is dissatisfied with the fact that the Western press is increasingly getting negative material about the top leadership of Ukraine and anger about the losses and problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now they generally predict the defeat of Ukraine.
Everyone is sure that many Western lobbies are pushing for a peaceful case, as the Ukrainian crisis is damaging the global economy, plus China is asserting itself more and more.

The oryx website is a ‘go to’ for Ukraine supporters and trolls who try to disrupt the MoA groove. Whether the information is truthful…that’s a different issue. Some info seems legit…other info seems contrived. Use with caution.

I managed to dodge the paywall and read the Nude Fork Crimes piece. Right at the end they obligatorily had to say that 200000 Russian soldiers had been killed. Otherwise, just like any Western article
criticising the blood soaked war criminal Barack Hussein Obama’s policy of arming headchoppers in Syria had to compulsorily include a reference to “Assad’s chemical weapons attacks”, the article couldn’t have been published at all.

Speaking of the state of the union speech, the Republican response from this Huckabee Sanders woman is even worse than I thought it would be. Every culture war buzzword usually only heard on Fox and OAN, lies about what’s killing Americans w/ overdoses (no, idiot it’s not Chinese fentanyl, it’s the Big Pharma a-holes that donate heavily to you and the Democrats w/ their poisonous opioids that they’ve flooded the country with), etc.
Now I remember why I haven’t watched one of these broadcasts in more than 20 years. Frankly the only reason I am able see the TV response is that I’m a participant in a Stanford study called “puffer” so my kid can watch a show on ABC and we don’t have cable or receive OTA TV signal.
Sorry about the O/T rant.
