I think Trump supporters and his campaign’s use of memes was less a reflection of a ‘cartoon mindset’ but harnessing a simple and effective vehicle for a subversive campaign. Supporters had an effective way sending messages and an IFF system which proved increasingly effective as the campaign continued. A genuine grass-roots movement that stood in stark contrast to the AstroTurf efforts deployed by Trump’s opponents.
The effectiveness of the meme campaign was, in part, a large reason for the unrelenting war waged by social media companies on MAGA supporters, after the election.

US/NATO will have no shortage of weapons – though they may be delayed.
Willing fighters may be more difficult.
The eastern Europe countries are trying to rally the people – seems Poland and Baltic States are ready.
Russia cannot afford to let itself get stretched thin, but not good to let NATO take too much of west Ukraine.
… are my thoughts.

Russia consistently behind the curve on escalation.
I suppose that is the responsible approach.
Time to bring “The Crazy”, I think.
Cause the bureaucrats to spill their drinks.
