David Cameron supported Ukranian pro- nazi politics before and after he became prime minister. This statement from Stoltenberg that the US was going to push through Nato membership for Ukraine in 2008 explains why his Party was so keen to isolate itself from the EU. The writing was on the wall that war would happen in Ukraine because of US arrogance.
Cameron saw no problem with being on the same side as Nazis in a war against Russia, but other in his party realised that Europe would be destroyed for the sake of US artogance against Russia’s security concerns. So they chose to to extricate
themselves from Europe.
I voted for Brexit to weaken Britain’s alliance with Europe which had by then destroyed both Libya and Syria. I would have been happy to have kept Freedom of Trade and Movement, but BoJo knew something he wasn’t telling us, the decision had been taken already for war in Ukraine.
That certainly explains the boozy parties during lockdown. He was planning his escape from starting the destruction of Europe and starting WW3. Leaving him free to return once the dirty work had been done .aka Churchill.

As many have alluded to, the Ukraine War is not the main event. Horrifically, it is the space where BOTH the US/ZATO and Russia decided to publicly “square off” and test the other. Syria was the opening round, but where the US could count on a lot of side-plays from the likes of Turkey, Israel and the Kurds to involve countries like Iran, Iraq, and the Saudis (among others) to confuse the issue.
Ukraine is a “fishbowl”, not the Middle East “lake”. And both are microcosms of the “ocean” of WEF/Rothschild-class machinations. North American and EU populations are fed the “you will own nothing, rent everything and be happy” WEF velvet glove propaganda while Ukraine, Syria, Libya and Afghanistan got the “or else” unstated WEF threat. Canada and Australia got a tiny sampling of the “or else” during the Trucker Convoy.
While some neighbours of the Ukie-nazi regime are feeding in varying amounts of weapons and cannon-fodder, those neighbours don’t have major empire-builder/jihadist factions controlling the gov’ts/populations as in the ME.
So while Russia slow-roasts the US/ZATO in Ukraine and Syria, it is carefully analyzing and participating in reshaping the full geopolitical/economic international spectrum. This is not a blitzkrieg operation, steadily stripping economic allies away from US/ZATO.
EU countries are mostly tapped out for weapons and death-wish heroes to send to the Ukie-nazis, and new-ZATO members Finland and Sweden get to decide to join the EU slide into deprivation. The US/ZATO has no means to reverse this problem going forward. And how lng before major players like Germany and France can’t convince their populations to suffer for Ukraine or even the “climate change(tm)” trump card?
I doubt many EU populations will join the insane push to send actual troops to the Ukraine front. At least not until US bases in EU countries have sent all their troops there as a show of good faith. And the US population will not want to be reminded of a simple truth. “be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box” Afghanistan proved how little tolerance the US people have for dead US soldiers in elective foreign wars, and the US/ZATO elite are running out of willing EU idiots to pour into the killing fields of Ukraine.
Yes, the US/ZATO approach has devolved into “the crazy man” ploy, but it is being revealed as more “paper tiger” than fully functional opponent. The longer this goes, the worse it gets for the US.
And while the US loves to wave its nuclear dick around, the Rothschild class understands both China and Russia know where they live (and where their bomb shelters are). Unlike previous wars, the Rothschild class will not survive a nuclear war they manipulated world powers into.
So no, the “Rothschild sons” don’t want a nuclear war they won’t survive.

The Ukraine story is being covered from a lot of angles these days. So many things happening. It feels like a conclusion is coming ‘soon’. A big question for me is when the Eu will disintegrate. It occurs to me that many here have ‘wives’ who spent time in the kitchen preparing meals for them although I know, as formerly revealed, some men barflies take pride in doing some kitchen work.
As someone who prepares meals daily, and who puts up food seasonally, and who regularly does home maintenance stuff that requires activity where my ears can listen while my body is otherwise engaged, I really appreciate Alex Christoforou, Alexander Mercouris, Brian Berletic and a few others who do geopolitical analysis published in audio/video format because it gives me something worthwhile to listen to while I chore around and lift weights.
As it is practice here since forever that no tv and little radio broadcasting pollutes the peace, although since Feb 2022 it’s been no radio, I am also very grateful to b and all you barflies for helping me to understand our world. Thanks.

It’s very possible that if/when Ursula announces the “seizure” of Russian EUR or USD assets and bonds in western banks, it will just accelerate the willingness of commodity and refined producers to move to the BRICS/SCO trading system. My bet is US will have some kind of contingency plan or loophole in place to be able use their US dollar in those places, but EU will have NO contingency plan in place.
Thinking about it, if EU goes alone in this “confiscation”, they will take the largest blow alone, as countries in the Global South will be shocked and scared of EU as a partner, and saving assets in EU banks. This seems more like a US set up elaborate trap to weaken EU, in addition to all the other stuff like sanctions, so far.

There is no danger of analysts like Mercouris, or our host here, or Pepe Escobar, or the others being attacked by the trolls of having an oversized presence in the global geopolitical discourse. Trying to steer readers away from them only serves the Empire.
Why attack these voices when there are whole choirs of coordinated liars spewing their false narratives from atop enormous corporate mass media soapboxes at deafening volumes? I agree with the gist of your comments, but not the idea that Russia will certainly absorb western Ukraine. If the anti-Russian people in Ukraine became “part of Russia”, they would get to vote and be politically active, forming what we would then have to call a “7th Column”. I think Russia’s best option might be a “404” zone for 100 years.Neither Poland, Hungary, Slovakia or Romania should get any territory because those lands (well, maybe not Hungary) would just recreate the anti-Russia weapon. And, such land would be a reward for aggression against Russia. But the Kremlin might be thinking more long-term, and permanent heartfelt popular regime change in Warsaw and Bucharest might become Russia’s later goal.
Mike Whitney’s problem is that he has spread himself too thinly (economics, war, etc.) and as a result, he’s using too few sources. It’s damn near a full-time job to understand what’s going on with the war against Russia (and China and Iran, and _ and _ and) and you need a long gaze, a long evaluation of the various would-be sources, and a hard-working brain to put together an analysis that is merely reasonably accurate.
There are two keys to understanding everything. First, the 3 goals Putin stated at the start of the SMO and more recently verified by Lavrov. The second is an understanding that this war was planned by the UK in the 1890’s (by building up Japan as a military power) and has never stopped. You can even read Guy Mettan’s book and discover German princes were already working to make a religious schism – google “filoque”, as part of a plan to grab what would become Russia, starting around 850 AD. Mettan is Swiss, not Orthodox AFAIK, and he stumbled onto this briar patch when he adopted two Russian children and decided the kids needed to know about their former homeland. So Mettan is not a polemicist.

If the US has some economic/financial trapdoor they plan on sliding away from being sucked down by the mayhem they have caused, I have yet to see anyone explain what/where/how that might be accomplished. The US is seriously tanking in real terms despite the patriotic, tough-guy rhetoric.
I think the US (and therefore NATO) is beyond any coherent policy, what we are seeing in Ukraine and sanctions appears to be more tactical than widely strategic. I would not be surprised if the US “leadership”, gov’t and corporate, is getting gaslit by the Rothschild class. Trudy was surely promised permanent dictatorial rule over Canada, and Freeland probably Ukraine. It ain’t working out that way.
In other than the crudest “power” terms, what could the US itself possibly gain from destroying the EU countries (not necessarily eliminating the EU power structure), ostensibly to stymie Russia and China? Ya, the US might control the EU/NATO but at the cost of the economic/social/military ability of their largest bloc of ideological and trading partners.
So we again have to look further up the “who benefits” food chain.
Imagine there is a group of people who have been consciously accumulating wealth and power for centuries, but don’t overtly control any of the major economies of the world. They can only advance their agenda so far by driving from the back seat as they have been. And while usurping the governments/banks of many countries affords them wealth, status and power, the world should KNOW just how wonderful they and their “vision” are. Now imagine THE COMPROMISED LEADERSHIP (gov’t and corporate) of an entire group of countries controlled by this Class destroying or co-opting both other countries and their own in a way that enhances the power of this Class.
Well you don’t have to “imagine” it.
Russia, China and their increasing circle of partners are building a system which does not rely on the post-WW2 US PETRODOLLAR backed system and the Rothschild-class are seeing 400 years of careful preparation swept away.
Add unexpected challenges to US$-only reserve status like Bitcoin and even “staunch allies” like the Saudis agreeing to trade oil in other currencies.
THAT is why the Great Reset was foisted NOW and not after the WEF Slow Motion Coups in Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc. were fully realized.
This was supposed to all be over by 2035, the US, backed by the Rothschild Class was going to overthrow or overwhelm those Russia/China upstarts.
Rothschild Class believed in the US military paper-tiger (money spent equals capability, right?). OOPS! Putin, Xi and Bitcoin were not big factors for the self-absorbed, bubble-wrapped Rothschild Class two decades ago when the WEF/Davos crowd were really starting to be puffed up on their own propaganda and greed, but they sure are consequential now…
