So, I have been following the Ukraine War since the start. I read this blog daily, I was reading the saker (stopped after he repeatedly insults any opposing views or beliefs or narrativethat challenges his). I also watch the duran and others.
I firmly believed that russia was winning and probably still are winning. But, I watched some Vice reports that show Russia being poorly equipped (matched pictures that Russian soldiers posted to location stamps in Ukraine and training facilities in Russia.
Watching those videos paints a disturbing picture of Russias military. They seem to be lacking trained and motivated personnel.
I know a lot of people on here and other places paint a picture of Russias military being almost super human which is what American recruiting and Hollywood movies do for the American military.
But I believe the thr truth is more in the middle and think to this point the Ukraine over performed and the Russians under performed. I believe the Russians will eventually win mainly due to superior numbers but the quality of its military is lacking in most units compared to the US Military.

The saddest thing is seeing people post opinion as fact and follow up insisting they are right. If your real name is nt Shoigu you dont know snything about the Russian army in any detail. Heck even the US defence minister accepts that Russia has “impressive” weapons but any old dude on the internet can insist they are a shoddy motley crew of vodka drinkers.
Nobody rational believes your BS. Its just tiresome reading.

Yes, it is very very sad to see a lot of people post opinions as facts (almost all posts on here are opinions and speculation on information we saw).
All generals are politicians and they get there positions based on combination of skill and brown nosing. I am not sure of the “old dude on the internet” comment referring to me? But I am not an old dude and I am a combat vet (actual boots on the ground, not a fobit). I know no matter what country you are, it is difficult to go on extended deployment with possibility of not returning.
Also, I am familiar with logistical issues and supply shortages that occur in combat (shortages occurred in Iraq during the invasion, forces out ran supply line, that’s a fact cause i actually was there and lived it).
I want the Russians to win and believe they will prevail, but we have to be realistic. If they were as powerful as some people claim or report this war would have been over.you noticed no fly zone has not been declared by Russia because they are not able to enforce it.
All I am saying we have to be realistic with expectations of what the situation is. At the moment it is kind of a stand still. The Russians are having some issues with the mobilization (which occurs during any mobilization in any country, Russia is not immune).
I hope the Russian offensive that people talk about materializes. I don’t want this situation to turn into a quanon, trust the plan psyop where every failure is excused.

Today was the first time I ever posted. I guess I will have to leave the echo chamber alone.

Recommend more time lurking, reading, carefully researching & considering the syntax & content (Vice ?) for tropes …
RF has been fighting & slaughtering AFU with dramatically inferior numbers 1:3+. There is no power, no heat, no light throughout majority of Ukraine, The RF situ.
AFU casualties on lowest possible calculations is currently minimum of ~71% of original ~600,000 standing army.
You need better sources, research more &/or drop your illusions.
Cheers.

@outraged
I hope your numbers are correct, but it is very difficult to get any accurate information. Both sides claim inflated numbers of casualties inflicted on the other. I do believe the Ukrainians got the worst of it.
Any particular place you recommend to get accurate information?
Also, did you read or see anything about the book ” they turned us into savages ” supposedly written by a Russian paratrooper? I am not sure how accurate it is and I have only read portions available online. But, from what I can tell you it is a good description of an invasion, describes the fog of war. Also, I am seeing videos of soldiers that are called up and showing living conditions and lack of equipment. Again, I am not saying it’s accurate but is it proven to be dis information?
From the information I seen that is available, I got the impression the Ukrainians fought harder than expected. The Russians were doing well and just seemed to stall in April. Slowed down significantly in the summer. Alexander M. From the Duran mentioned that a lot of contracts finished in August and those soldiers went home, again not sure if that is accurate.
