The medical system is under a lot of deserved scrutiny of late, so I thought a bit of history is in order.
A long time ago, a farmer had a friend who was deathly ill. In desperation, he invented a ritual and performed it for his friend. He covered himself in soot and went outside his friends house after dark, there he began to call out to his friend, over and over.
A few days later, his friend had recovered and the farmer gained fame for this "cure". He had inadvertently discovered the placebo effect.
The demand for his "services" became immense overnight. And he willingly performed the ritual for a fee for others. He would go out after dark, covered in soot and call out to the ill people.
After a long time, he taught others and created an industry that went world wide.
This industry is still alive today. You have all heard of the Farmer Sooty Call industry.
.....
I figured in these times, a little levity might help some folks.
For those whose main language is not English, Farmer sooty call sounds like pharmaceutical.

Looks like another election steal in the United States. This one focused on keeping the GOP form controlling the Senate and possibly stealing the House. Understand this is all about suppressing ANY investigation of COVID and the VAX. The republican candidates trumpeting impending investigations of the deep state sent them into overdrive as well as threats of cutting off funding to the Ukraine.

China ditches EU chief Michel's speech at [China International Import Expo]
Beijing canceled European Council President Charles Michel, after he planned to slam Russia's "illegal war" in a pre-recorded speech at a high-level trade expo in Shanghai last week. That's a no-no. Time out for youse.
Michel is due to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping next week on the sidelines of the G20 summit, POLITICO reported earlier.[...]
The expo also featured speeches made by Xi, managing director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, director general of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the presidents of Indonesia [ID], Sri Lanka [LK], and Belarus [BY].

German Chancillor Scholtz: “There must not be a global renaissance of fossil fuels. And for Germany, I say: there won’t be either.”
Some people you want to put in front of a field - wheat, potatoes, corn, does not matter - on a hot summer day and tell them to harvest the crop, without using fossil fuels.

Interesting times.
Clearly, the exit pollsters failed to take into account the new basic fact of life. Female voters are now the dominant force in USSA election politics.
Interesting results for the 2022 midterms.
Why did an alleged wave of Red DJT Donkeys all fail at the starting post?
Did the DJT-trained GOP red monkeys fail to note the current women's unfriendly policies"! Do not resonate with the current majority of all female voters?
Did DJT become a pariah for all the women voters in the USSA?
Can DJT afford to pay all his 20+ legal and settlement fees? After repaying all his State and Federal back taxes plus interest since the 1980s?
Can DJT afford to pay all his election costs by both himself and his failed red donkey candidates of 2022?
Will DJT now blame everyone else for his very own "big mouth lies' self-induced misfortune? From non-existent fictional voters to others?

Clearly Gonzo is a male sexist troll. For he failed to note the majority of all state Democratic governors concerned. Voiced full support of the Roe V. Wade continuation.
Sadly, he is one fool. Who failed to note the slow trend since the 1980s. The female voter with fresh millions of additional voters registered since the end of Roe V Wade in 2022. Has now become the new dominant form for all USSA politics.

SCOTUS and the lower courts rejected the cases in the 2020 election for the President because nobody who brought a case had standing. Article II Section I Paragraph 2 of our US Constitution states that "Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, ..." Only the State Legislature has standing to challenge a Presidential election. Even individual legislators, State executives, voters or candidates have no standing. The Constitution doesn't even suggest a popular vote, and it doesn't mention a Governor anywhere in the Constitution.
This 2022 election, obviously, is not a Presidential one. States, voters, candidates, legislators, and even third parties can bring suits against it. Everybody who has reason to believe that the laws weren't followed to the letter, or that the laws were improper, should bring lawsuits challenging the corruption in this election. Make it Right! This might be our last chance.

"Some people you want to put in front of a field - wheat, potatoes, corn, does not matter - on a hot summer day and tell them to harvest the crop, without using fossil fuels."
Scythes always did the job very well (except potatoes, of course; but see below). Making quite a comeback lately, especially the wonderfully well-evolved, super lightweight Austrian scythe. Just as well, since the Long Descent away from industrial 'civilisation' - courtesy of 'The Limits To Growth' [qv] - is now well begun.
Scything is a wonderful technology: good for the land, good for the mowers, good for their communities. And what goes for scythes goes for all the other simple muscle-powered technologies that will be coming back now, as the Descent progresses.
That idyllic hot Summer day which you seem to find so unpleasant in imagination, P, makes for such a truly wonderful experience for any team of neighbours - and their children, dogs, spouses who also turn out for the festival of harvesting - that it's greatly cherished by those who are lucky enough to be still doing it. Plenty of vids around, on scythe harvesting by teams of people, showing what happy occasions they are: deeply satisfying; deeply connecting to the living world. Wonderful!
As for taters... At 82, I'm just harvesting the last of my this-year's potato crop right now: grown directly in untilled turf, with a certain amount of mulching round each plant, to supplement the light turf clipping with long-handled grass-clippers that I do, just to keep the wild volunteers from swamping the spud plants. Key point: this is super-light work compared to orthodox slogging, soil-disrupting spud-growing methods; has to be because of my aged infirmity. Exactly the sort of skill which lots of us will need in the future, when fossil-hydrocarbon fuels have become so scarce that hitech big-machine industagri has gone the way of the dodo.
I do think that you're right, though P: The crooks poncing about in the media limelight right now, running their pretend 'democracies', do need hauling before revolutionary tribunals, there to receive their sentences of several years of community-service work in such activities as - scythe-harvesting of crops! (No need to be overly vindictive towards them...)

Make your own free LPG!
YouTube is flooded with mainly Polish videos on how to make liquefied petroleum gas at your home. Naturally, the setup does not produce LPG gas, but vaporizes gasoline ("petrol" in the UK) for use in a LPG cooker. In the setup compressed air is fed through two "bongs" or waterpipes, the first one filled with gasoline and the second one with water.
LPG or liquefied petroleum gas is sold in bottles and used for cooking by campers and in some countries without natural gas networks. There is no guarantee that the substitute would work for any given cooker, as the calorific value of the fuel air mixture is less than that of LPG. Actually, it is more likely that this would work in burners made for natural gas than for LPG.
The last time I checked, the European energy crisis had not affected the price of LPG. It was cheaper than natural gas on the spot market. In the long run, high natural gas prices will push up the price of LPG. A 60/40 mixture of LPG and air can be used as a substitute gas (SNG) in natural gas distribution networks.

Posted by: Passerby | Nov 9 2022 20:56 utc | 14
Both sides won in that both sides believe that their votes mattered and their nation is a functioning democracy (or representative republic using democratic procedures etc.). Democrats proudly prevented a huge red tsunami from wrecking the country and paving the way for a new fascist regime in 2024 so they are very happy. Republicans have kicked out the wicked witch of the west and maybe - they get to hope most likely until the run-off in December for the Georgia Senate seat - they will get the Senate back again. Now some activists already believe the election was stolen; they also believe that if they just vote hard enough next time they will be able to reform this. The point is, they still believe in the system and in that sense they win.
Meanwhile those actually running the country will keep doing what they have already been doing entirely unaffected by any of this. Which seems to be some sort of managed decline leading to collapse following which a Reset after which most likely the whole two-party circus will be abandoned in favor of a more Chinese-style one-party system (although in ways I don't quite understand apparently they also have many parties).
And both sides lost in that the system is entirely corrupt and the elections are controlled and rigged, aka phony. And the voters ability to keep denying this blatantly obvious truth ensures that they will continue to lose and the republic, such as it is, will continue to degrade as has been the case steadily for many decades now.
And so it goes...

Why does the Western Narrative sound so stupid and unrealistic?

by Detlef Romatzki for the Saker blog
The question of why the Western Punters seem to make such ridiculous statements, and seem to be totally misinformed, has come up in numerous discussion about the Western Leaders and commentators.
Let me try to present a theory in order to make some sense.
https://thesaker.is/why-does-the-western-narrative-sound-so-stupid-and-unrealistic/
Possibly redundant info though some people may not have considered all the complexities going on and how it affects the average person.
However, it's not the only difficulty confronting people. There is another question equally needing an answer: Why does the Russian Narrative sound so stupid and unrealistic?

Interesting all the same. On how not to craft credible propaganda!
The presenter has a truly highly selective memory. To alter/amend basic facts from history and readily available information. Basically borderline propaganda when she sees the color red. As in the Chinese national flag.
I refer to this recent error-riddled YT blooper. "China before the CCP (1): Chinese shipyard helped US build wartime vessels(cargo only)". This is a shame how she forgot to add the remaining 98% of the inconvenient truth.
Failed "Occam's Razor Test".
I was amazed at how she could keep a straight face. When feeding such high levels of misinformation and propaganda.
When you start believing your own propaganda you have completely lost the plot.

Reality Check. Much has already been explained concerning HU. End of story!
End of Chinese Sars COVID-19 lockdowns. Only after the last anti-vaxxer dies from SARS-COVID-19 infection.
Clearly, this woman has completely ignored all Chinese research from 1957 onwards(special dear leader health advisory board since the late 1950s). On the deadly recurrent annual influenza seasonal pandemic in China. Since the world killer 1917 Yankee Flu pandemic!
Well, we have already seen how fatal "they don't give a damn". The Anti-vaxxer campaign has worked so well in the USSA. One million were murdered in the name of free speech. Any bets on another five million dead? Before the native USSA population starts publically shooting the Anti-vaxxers dead in the street! With one of the 300 million plus guns they own in the USSA? The jury verdict thus "Not Guilty Acting in Self-Defense".
As for Ms. Lei. In her very first video blog circa 2020. About a tax-evading hedge fund operator scum owner. Alas in 2019. The Russian Taxman started jailing those bums operating in Russia. As shameless unmitigated ponzi scam tax fraud operators. Russians have near zero tolerance for the thieving behavior of all Yankee pirates. Trying to steal their gold-backed Rubles! lol
In fact, even the Korean Manga(Manhwa) cartoon writers actually created a new manga. With a Korean twist. Which is loosely based on the USSA/RUSSIAN dual citizens' failed attempts at tax evasion in Russia. One of moving billions of Yankee air dollars at near-light speed around the world multiple times and countries. By the use of 100s of "Bottom-of-the-Harbor 'ONE-SHOT' Companies". Just to evade ALL local capital gains taxes. Strange but true. Probably also based on the Russian Taxman legal cases. Translated into Korean.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I find this issue interesting (thanks for the video Antonym) because I find China an enigma wrapped in a riddle concealing a mystery etc etc and simply don't know what to think about them. Just like when I look at a photo of Xi's face I don't know what to think, he gives me nothing, just a blank. Which makes me a little distrustful.
I do know that China exists with 1.5 billion people. I have been there and noticed what someone else here remarked (Grant?) that it has a lawless, free feeling to it. I didn't get the sense that anyone was being controlled. At all. And there is a lot of bustle. Also, as have noticed in other Asian countries, even peasants in the fields who look up as you pass them by evidence much higher intelligence than many in the West. These are old societies with high socialization quotients for hundreds of generations. Neat.
But I have no idea of who and what they are politically. Which is fine, no big deal. Some are projecting (I think) that China is some sort of enlightened country which will save the world. It's possible, I guess, but something about that thrust rubs me the wrong way. But then I generally distrust all political leaders and/or ideologies.
In any case, I find the rigid lockdown policy borderline psychotic. Is this because I'm an over-indulged westerner brought up on a diet of hyper-individualism and unable to just do what's best for society without objection? Quite possibly. Or is the policy really too extreme or indeed, as the video suggests (though I find her hard to follow, frankly) about something else? It has always felt like that to me but again: I really can't read China. Too huge, too far away, and also not well covered in English language media.
Posted by: Bad Deal Motors On | Nov 10 2022 10:41 utc | 39
PS Forgot to write above: Bad Deal I tried twice but I REALLY cannot understand your post at all, so sorry!
All best...
She says in the video: 'China will not go back to the pre-covid era in which CCP's rule was being weakened by too much interchange-intermingling with the West.'
Ok, THAT point I can grok. And it implies that one reason for the strict nature of the lock-downs is to sever those ties. That makes sense to me (and also is what have been assuming myself since early on and especially since the SMO began and global bifurcation became an obvious phenomenon). Not only does it make sense, I suspect it's correct.
Which is not necessarily evil, but evidences a very strong State. How could a nation of 1.5 billion not be organized with strong central leadership? It cannot. Is Xi a tyrant though given he can effect draconian policies like this essentially locking up hundreds of millions at a time? Not necessarily though it seems so to most westerners.
Definitely a very different polity, though, that's for sure.

Guess when Mao Zedong attacked India? After the Great Leap Backwards and exactly during the Cuban missile crisis between the US and the USSR in 1962. When did Mao attack the USSR? During his brilliant Chinese Cultural Destruction in 1969. Both times to distract attention from internal trouble and grab some neighboring land too, 3rd world village style.
When did the CCP attack Vietnam? When their buddy Pol Pot got in Vietnamese trouble in 1979. When did Xi Jinping attack India in the Himalaya? In 2020, during the global Covid scare. He was not scared for Chinese catching any virus, only interested in grabbing land and bullying the neighborhood. Ask Bhutan.

one thing the US never runs out of is cheerleaders. if we all stand together in a stadium and salute the flag while jets fly overhead to the tune of the "rockets' red glare," does that mean we care about vets? maybe if a David Petraeus does the pre-game coin toss, that will show we really care? and if i get all emotional about this thing that is happening on my flat screen, does this mean i care?

Indeed an interesting interview with Imran Khan. He is right that "God" saved him this time. The Pakistan army brass is livid: they might run out of internal power. The survived 75 years by keeping external wars on the boil. Their luxury lifestyle is threatened if they have internal uprising.
The other threat for the Pakistani population is to become like Uyghurs under CCP dominance: wiping out Faith by secular autocrats.

Dr Jordan Peterson returns to sit down with Piers Morgan
Good chat about dynamics on twitter, facebook, instagram, forums, and online trolls and so on... impulsive anti-social Psychopathic Behavior .. of sadism machiavellianism psychopathy narcissism - I saw him another program recently discussing the same online / political issues and thought he had some very good things to say - from 6:10 mins https://youtu.be/UtmItBYn3E8?t=370
... but Behavior online isn't
random and the people who post aren't
aren't precisely normal and I have been
talking with Jonathan height and Gene
twangy about this and I think they might
know more about it than anybody else in
the world and it's pretty clear that the
people who are dominating say online
comment sections and I would especially
say this is true of the people who post
anonymously and there's other markers
for for this sort of behavior as well
they dominate the political discourse
and what's happening in some sense is
that we have a new form of pollution
that's also corporate sponsored and it's
pollution of the domain of public
discourse and the pollution occurs
because the social media companies are
either enabling or failing to control
you know those known in the popular
parlance as Trolls but they're not just
comical trolls you know using derision
in some cute way and and having their
say in the Free Speech domain they're
really poisonous individuals and they're
poisoning the entire domain
and
one of the things that's happening to us as
we virtualize the world is that we're
enabling the small percentage of
people it's usually about 3 percent
in general populations
who used manipulation and reputation
savaging and denigration and
self-promotion, so the genuinely
Psychopathic types, to dominate the
social conversation and to spew their
poisonous and manipulative Venom into
the public domain not only with no fear
of being stopped and no inhibition
(which is almost all applied socially irl)
but also may well be monetized
and promoted by the people who run the
social media channels ....
plus comments on Elon Musk's plans for Twitter, Donald Trump and the presidency, and Meghan Markle's podcast.
so I think it's a mistake to assume
that Trump is a psychopath - I think it's
a big mistake I think it's a big mistake
to assume that Putin is a psychopath
it's easy to do that but I don't think
the evidence suggests that - you don't
want to throw those labels around
casually and you know - if Trump
was Psychopathic well he did a pretty
good job of keeping the United States
clear of War for four years

Don't think so. Don't follow much MSM and even when I do assume anything political is a lie. Have said many times here that I don't have a clear read on China because it's so huge and (to me) so alien (though I have studied some of their classics including Chinese-daoist medicine (ie pre communist regime edited 'TCM') and advanced qigong and actually been there though only for 3 months. The way the CPC feels to me from afar gives pause, that's all. Other than that I view Chinese culture and people quite favorably.
Seems to me you find it hard to imagine people thinking for themselves. Which I do and often demonstrate.

"...evidences a very strong State. How could a nation of 1.5 billion not be organized with strong central leadership? It cannot. ..." Scorpion@42
You misunderstand the nature of the Chinese state. The opposite is the case.
It is because the state is relatively lean and cheap that it relies so much on ideology and social pressures to maintain solidarity.
This is a very old tradition and essentially Confucian- people follow the guidance of their fellows. The role of the 'scholars' is particularly important-they are expected to set examples that will be followed.
The ancient ways, essentially Confucian, underlie what foreigners take to be novel systems of social control. This is one of the reasons why the state is able to control a large, dynamic, greedy and arrogant capitalist class with relative ease. Only an East Asian state from traditional Chinese culture (Taiwan and Korea are others) could carry out the discipline needed to aim at Covid eradication without massive state coercion of the kind that, try as they might, the Falun Gong gang have not been able to show in China.
In fact the Chinese state is no more intrusive- probably much less- than our own, cf Snowden.

”In any case, I find the rigid lockdown policy borderline psychotic. Too huge, too far away, and also not well covered in English language media.”

Also, the pre-print arguing there is evidence to show that reinfections increase the incidence of bad health outcomes has passed peer review and has been published:

Acute and postacute sequelae associated with SARS-CoV-2 reinfection
* Benjamin Bowe, Yan Xie & Ziyad Al-AlyAbstract
First infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is associated with increased risk of acute and postacute death and sequelae in various organ systems. Whether reinfection adds to risks incurred after first infection is unclear. Here we used the US Department of Veterans Affairs’ national healthcare database to build a cohort of individuals with one SARS-CoV-2 infection (n = 443,588), reinfection (two or more infections, n = 40,947) and a noninfected control (n = 5,334,729). We used inverse probability-weighted survival models to estimate risks and 6-month burdens of death, hospitalization and incident sequelae. Compared to no reinfection, reinfection contributed additional risks of death (hazard ratio (HR) = 2.17, 95% confidence intervals (CI) 1.93–2.45), hospitalization (HR = 3.32, 95% CI 3.13–3.51) and sequelae including pulmonary, cardiovascular, hematological, diabetes, gastrointestinal, kidney, mental health, musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. The risks were evident regardless of vaccination status. The risks were most pronounced in the acute phase but persisted in the postacute phase at 6 months. Compared to noninfected controls, cumulative risks and burdens of repeat infection increased according to the number of infections. Limitations included a cohort of mostly white males. The evidence shows that reinfection further increases risks of death, hospitalization and sequelae in multiple organ systems in the acute and postacute phase. Reducing overall burden of death and disease due to SARS-CoV-2 will require strategies for reinfection prevention.

The list of public grievances is long in the so-called civilized west, including issues with vaccines, denied access to cheap therapeutics and vaccines developed in other parts of the world which are not mRNA or adenovirus vectors, censorship of voices not adhering to the dominant narratives, and so on without end. With about 20 million dead globally, and now evidence of excess deaths not directly correlated with the thing, ignored, staring us in the face, and no accountability on the horizon let alone a plan for public health protection which works, we don’t know what’s next. Here it is every person relying on herself cause no one with power to alter the trajectory cares about the people. China is fortunate imo to have governance that cares for her people.
Nasal vaccine, until then nasal washes, and filtered indoor air or n95 masks (need to protect eye membranes as well) for those of us who doubt the Pollyannas telling us convenient lies.

The eleventh day of the eleventh month started out as Armistice Day -- really meaning the capital A Armistice, the final one following the war to end all wars. When it became apparent that old November 1918 armistice had lost its singularity, somehow the day got renamed "Veteran's Day" -- as if old soldiers are the only ones to experience privations of warfare, or hopes for the possibility of permanent peace.

Agree.
How is it that "free speech" on MOA allows a racist royalist nazi (don't those terms just glow when used together?) to post ten time more words than anyone ever, even RSH and 20 times more bullshit.
The other kind of bullshit POV is that MOA is an echo chamber and that we need dissent here to make it interesting and fair. As far as I can tell all that happens is the best posters leave or go quiet.
And I only came here because of the quality of posters that B's articles and hosting attracted.
Even the conversations around covid that got some posters in trouble were far more interesting than the drivel that occupies probably 80% of posts on the main thread.
In the face of 99% of MSM telling mainstream lies and the 1% alt media such as Scorp loves, telling conspiracy lies, what is wrong with having a forum that is free to cancel these?
It could not possibly be more boring than MOA has become in the past few months.
Even the idea of free speech these days is just a right wing ploy to crash every party in town.

I've got one of those Austrian scythes too. I also have another tool that might interest you, if you don't have one already. It's called a bull rake in New England and it's kind of hard to describe but after the grass dries into hay you work the rake under the hay and pull it towards you. The bull rake has a cradle so you can pull a good deal of hay with each stroke. You use the rake to make windrows of hay. Before horse-drawn mowing machines and dump rakes came along around 1880, all hay was made by hand. First a team of scythers would drop the grass. Then a team of bull rakers would rake it into windrows. Then the hay would be forked onto wagon's and drawn to the barn. Today, as then, if someone wants to make hay for a few animals you need only three tools: An Austrian scythe, a bull rake, and a three-pronged hay fork. It's all hard work, but I love the sound of a scythe cutting grass.

It would appear the neo-lunatics known USSA war criminals John Bolton et al have lifted a leaf from the well-known tell no truth DJT. To host by-invitation-only events and all dissenters or those who ask the not permitted list of friendly questions allowed list. Will be handcuffed at the venue in plain sight. Frog marched to the car park and a phalanx of security guards will prevent re-entry.
Interestingly, one can shout USSA has fake voters. Yet, will never be asked the vexing question. "where is your actual proof of your fallacy claim?
One should not forget. Governor DeSantis of Florida vainly attempted to find proof for DJT. To prove fake voting in his state distorted the results. Checked the entire electoral roll of Florida. For the 2020 presidential election!
Bonus points!
Was it 10 million questionable fake votes?
Was it 1 million questionable fake votes?
Was it less than 80 questionable fake votes? A number so insignificant that would have a zero impact on the actual results.

So, there's claims that Zelensky regime has (had) invested US aid money into the FTX exchange. Would not be at all surprising.
https://twitter.com/UKR_Report/status/1591269229088886785
There are also claims that FTX exchange is (was) heavily involved in the DNC money laundering operations and was essentially a DNC slush fund.
Here's something huge to consider. The wipeout of FTX has HUGE implications for the 2024 election. Sam Badman-Fried was the SECOND largest donor to Democrats in the recent (rigged) elections. He was gearing up to bankroll the entire Democrat propaganda steal in 2024. It only took a couple of tweets from CZ, head of Binance, to implode the entire FTX Ponzi scheme empire.
Now, dig deeper and you will discover that FTX was a massive MONEY LAUNDERING PONZI operation that benefited primarily democrats. Another Dem slush fund, in other words, but this time in the crypto space.
Now, CZ (Chinese-Canadian) of Binance says he wants to work with Elon Musk to place Binance as the payment system for Twitter. CZ is also "tolerant" of Trump and can coexist with Trump, Musk, etc.
Getting the picture? CZ and Binance just toppled a major Dem slush fund.

A good assessment of the baffling situation in China.
I have to believe that they are not in fact insane and that there is a purpose to the lockdowns - once that is accepted, the likely solutions are not so many.
As for Xi's facial expression, I find it a bit contrived - pretty sure he's trying to emulate Budda or trying to present expression of equinamity. Well its not more rediculus than Biden trying to emulate Bush (the lesser) trying to emulate a John Wayne try to portray a "cowboy".

Peter Schwartz has an excellent analysis of the climate talks and imperialism at the WSWS-thanks to steel city scribblings for the tip.
"...If anyone still needed proof that the climate catastrophe cannot be stopped by applying pressure on capitalist governments and politicians, the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh provided it. The reason for the bankruptcy of this perspective, which is advocated by Fridays for Future and other environmental movements, is not simply the malevolent intentions of individual governments or politicians, but the character of the capitalist system they defend.
"The climate crisis can only be solved globally. Greenhouse gases do not stop at national borders, and an environmentally sustainable organisation of energy supply is only possible on a global scale. The scientific knowledge, technical means and material resources for such a solution are in place and enormous progress has been made in these areas over recent decades.
"But such a global solution is not possible in a social system based on nation-states, which fiercely fight for global domination, and the subordination of every aspect of economic life to the profit and enrichment of a small minority..."

Will the Palestinians get their fair share of regional energy resources?
Substantial energy reserves lie beneath the occupied Palestinian territories and off the coast of Gaza. They cannot be developed without a green light from Israel. Under international law, Palestinians have full sovereignty over their natural resources. But whether Israel sees it that way is the question.
Popular demand, especially from the Palestinian side, prompted me to update and re-edit my first book, 'The Zionist Project Israel: Ethnic Pure, or Binational Guideland?' to re-appear as an e-book in English. With the themes that the book addresses appealing to a world audience, the book will aim at a broader target group than readers in the Dutch language area. A wider spread is opportune against the backdrop of shifting power balances, globally, but also in the Middle East.
To give my readers a taste, I published a fragment from the e-book, viz. the Oil and Gas section of Chapter 5, "Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories." The link is:

Just about an hour and a half ago this mid-air collision happened between a B-17 and Cobra fighter plane at an air show in Dallas.
Insane footage.

"B: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter, essentially: “We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war." Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war that was unsustainable for the regime , a conflict that bought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire."
Target countries and sacrificial countries... Soviet Union the target, Afghanistan the sacrificial country.
Russia the target, Ukraine the sacrificial country.
China the target, Taiwan the sacrificial country.
Encourage sacrificial country to cross target country's red lines, then denounce target country for aggression. Simples. Sheeple fall for it every time. No anti war marches, just fervent support for the war against the target country.

Thanks for passing on your unique potato planting technique, Rhisiart. For those who do have turf - I assume a lawn would work - that is most definitely an intriguing experiment to try. Unfortunately for me, no turf available, but I'd almost want to try a lawn, grab some from a plant nursery somewhere and stick it into my garden bits just to see if it would work. (My local town hall does have a lawn - in summer rabbits congregate for parties at night. I wonder if they'd be interested? The town hall, I mean; not the rabbits.)

A few comments about China Covid prevention, but no mentioning of the 10 or 20 newly announced measures that the majority of the chinese people took at as relaxing restrictions. From what happened in almost every other country, once prevention measures are lifted even just slightly, the whole situation accelerates rapidly towards complete lifting of all restriction. It is either zero-coid, or let it run freely, I belive there is nothing in between.
So the question is: Is China heading towards "let it run freely", or the new measures are basically nothing?

There speaks a man who is completely ignorant of what truly transpired way up on the defined northern Indian border. That particular year. Where a very ignorant Brit laid fallacious claims on a large section of traditional Chinese borderland. Created a fictional unsurveyed by the Brit Raj. An artificial national border, complete with stolen Chinese land.
Who knew those corrupt fat Indian Army officers? Experienced from fighting for the Japanese in WW2. And the killing fields of shooting/looting/other unarmed civilians(1949 partition war). Could run so fast! Downhill that is.
Since the Chinese southern army could have captured without any opposition. Occupying the stolen Vale of Kashmir without any military opposition. The downtrodden resident natives of the Vale. Abused daily by the evil poorly paid and equipped Indian Army! Would have welcomed the Chinese PLA as liberators.
Baby, it was very cold up on the northern border. Where 'AMS' was far more lethal than the sixty rounds of .303 issued for use in WW1 vintage Lee-Enfields. They were truly the bad old days.

On Naked Capitalism (not a link):US Farmers and Big Ag Corps Press Panic Button on Mexico’s Upcoming GMO Ban
Posted on November 11, 2022 by Nick CorbishleyAnother country not towing the line.
So Mexico looking for real corn.
The upcoming ban on GMOs sounds like good news.
One question I have asked at least once and have yet to get a good answer is, why hasn't Mexico imposed a GMO-labeling law as have Russia and most (if not all) other European nations?

Probably no chance of this getting noticed, but big changes have happened recently in Kenya (Africa) following Ruto narrowly winning the presidency.
First, a whole bunch of senior UK people have been flying to Kenya. Second, Bill Gates just arrived this week, promising his usual cocktail of death and vaccines. Third, Kenya just invaded the DRC under the pretense of "peacekeeping" with absolutely no authorization from either UN or African Union. Fourth, Kenya is now voting a straight pro-US/EU ticket on all UN General Assembly resolutions, esp the anti-Russia ones.

Russia, India, China, Iran: the Quad that really matters
Tuesday, 15 November 2022
https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/11/15/692770/Russia,-India,-China,-Iran--the-Quad-that-really-matters-
It runs through a whole series of interconnected real events and happenstances then stitches it all together without unnecessary hyperbole or extreme unsubstantiated claims. A good article for anyone who might have missed some steps connections along the way, this article can fill those in and offers what to look up if you missed them.
Using the Quad analogy was a clever way to tie the content together and offers a comparison pov, without going completely off the reservation.
I think if it actually included embedded linked references or a list at the end would make it more user friendly.

Or ... offers a comparative framing which can/might cut through the msm noise/disinfo a little.

I know that this is from a few weeks ago, but I just found an article describing how China had developed it's own photonic chip production line which just shows that the sanctions have instead just driven China towards driving towards more self sufficiency in key resources and technologies https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202210/1277405.shtml
