Ukraine – War Propaganda And News Items

Today Russia's missile and drone onslaught on Ukrainian infrastructure continues. I yesterday posted 25 headlines which over the last 7 month  predicted that Russia would soon 'run out of missiles'.

For laughs: The 'coping' mechanism after yesterday's 200+ missile and drones is the very same I had debunked:

Dmitri Alperovitch @DAlperovitch – 14:48 UTC · Oct 10, 2022

As horrible as today was for Ukraine today, the sliver of good news here is that Russia likely can’t sustain this rate of missile launches. It’s very telling that they have not had this rate of long range fires since the start of the war.

The NY Times is lying:

With Civilian Attacks, Putin Gives Hard-Liners What They Wanted

'Civilian attacks' when, as the NYT itself reports, only 14 persons were killed and less than 100 wounded yesterday during 200+ missile and drone strikes:

The attacks killed at least 14 and wounded scores of others, while countless more in cities across Ukraine were terrified by dozens of incoming missiles explicitly targeting civilian infrastructure.

How many of those were killed by Ukrainian air defense misses is not known. It is sad that people get killed in a war but sometimes unavoidable.

The Ukraine military has killed way more civilians by its artillery strikes on Donetsk city. In 2003 U.S. 'shock and awe' in Baghdad killed at least 10,000 people. Israel kills hundreds of civilians during each of its frequent onslaughts on Gaza. Russia is obviously avoiding to kill civilians but still gets accused of doing it.

Who is really killing Ukrainian civilians?

Ukrainian is false flagging its murdering of civilian 'collaborators':

War CrimesDreizin Report

Russia had so far also avoided to hit significant Ukrainian infrastructure. Yesterday its President Vladimir Putin explained why it had to change that. The Dugina murder, sabotage attacks within Russia, NATO destroying Nord Stream 2, and the Kerch bridge attack changed the picture:

The President held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council, via videoconference. – Kremlin

Thus, the Kiev regime, by its actions, has actually put itself on the same level as international terrorist groups, and with the most odious of those. It is simply no longer possible to leave crimes of this kind without retaliation.

This morning, at the proposal of the Defence Ministry and in accordance with the plan of Russia’s General Staff, a massive strike was launched with long-range precision air, sea and land-based weapons against Ukrainian energy, military and communications facilities.

In the event of more attempts to stage terrorist attacks on our territory, Russia's response will be harsh and commensurate with the threats posed to the Russian Federation. Nobody should have any doubts about that.

You claimed security services were not hit.
SBU HQ was hit. There were also rumors that CIA staff was allocated in maybe in the top level of the building. While we will never know for sure, it’s plausible to assume some of them were taken out. Based on the reactions and melt downs of the intelligence community, they were hit pretty bad.

If you look at the timeline:
– EU sanctions against Russia begin on 23 february 2022.
– Russian begins the Special Military Operation on 24 february 2022.
It seems the original idea was we would bring Russia to its knees through economic sanctions, with only minimal military posturing from our side. There does not seem to have been a thoroughly thought-out playbook for the case where Russia reacts militarily, and where it is US and EU economy that capsizes.

The American side did not bring shells. The Japanese Ministry of Defense explained this with procedural problems, the Nikkei newspaper reports.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Russia with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin | Oct. 5, 2017 |

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman opened his historic four-day visit to Moscow by signalling a new era of cooperation with Russia, but demanding that Iran, an ally of the Kremlin, end its “interference” in Middle East politics.
Saudi Arabia is keen that the visit also secures a more permanent Russian cooperation over oil prices after a January agreement between the world’s two largest oil producers managed to stabilise oil prices.
The deal, which is due to expire at the end of 2018, has succeeded in reducing the oil glut and pushed prices to over $70 (€57) a barrel from less than $30 in January 2016.

Shale band explains oil price struggle to top $60 a barrel | FT – Oct. 17, 2017 |
The reason, traders say, is not just that the oil from northern Iraq has largely kept flowing for now, with both Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government heavily reliant on oil revenues, and the Kurds still controlling the pipeline outlet.
Instead, they say the oil market’s tepid reaction is a sign fears still run deep in the industry about testing the upper bounds of the so-called “shale band” — or the price range they estimate US shale drillers can operate in without flooding the market or going bust.

The FSB described the mechanics of how the explosives were delivered to the Crimean bridge
As the investigation established, the explosive device was camouflaged in rolls with a construction polyethylene film on 22 pallets with a total weight of 22,770 kg and in early August “sent from the seaport of Odessa to the Bulgarian city of Ruse under contract No. 02/08/2022 between Translogistik LLC UA” (Kyiv) and “Baltex Capital S.A.”
(Ruse)”.
“Citizens of Ukraine Tsyurkalo Mikhail Vladimirovich, born in 1975, Kovach Denis Olegovich, born in 1979, Solomko Roman Ivanovich, 1971 .b., citizens of Georgia Inosaridze Sandro, a broker named “Levan” and a citizen of Armenia Terchanyan Artur, born in 1985.
From September 29 to October 3, 2022 in Yerevan, at the Transalliance terminal, the cargo was cleared according to the rules of the EurAsEC and the documents were replaced, after which it was already sent by GU AR GROUP LLC (Republic of Armenia, Alaverdi) , and the recipient LLC “Leader” (Moscow)”, – reported in the special service.
Later, the FSB noted, on October 4, on a DAF truck registered in Georgia, the cargo crossed the Russian-Georgian border at the Upper Lars checkpoint and on October 6 it was delivered and unloaded at the Armavir wholesale base in the Krasnodar Territory.
“On October 7 of this year, with the assistance of R. Solomko, a citizen of Ukraine Zlob Vladimir Vasilyevich, born in 1987, and five more established citizens of Russia, the documents for the cargo were again changed, the sender was indicated LLC “TEK-34″ (Ulyanovsk) , and the recipient is a non-existent company in the Republic of Crimea,” the FSB reports.
The special service stated that on the same day the pallets were loaded into the truck of Russian citizen Yusubov Makhir, born in 1971, “who left for Simferopol, and on October 8, 2022 at 06:03, while following the Crimean bridge, he was blown up.”
“At the same time, control over the movement of cargo along the entire route and contacts with participants in the criminal transportation scheme was carried out by an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, who introduced himself as “Ivan Ivanovich”, who used for coordination both a virtual anonymous number purchased on the Internet and registered for a citizen of Ukraine, a resident of the city of Minsk. Finally…. signs of exhaustion in Ukro Armed Forces…
Only Some Troop Movements Can Be Compared To Historical Actions In Conflicts of the Past
In the second part of the background to our Svatovsko-Kremenne direction we came to the conclusion that the AFU between Borovaya and Krasny Liman was in a situation similar to the Wehrmacht Center Group in 1941: continue moving eastward to fulfill a strategic objective, or turn southeastward to Kiev to eliminate the Red Army advance and encircle the southwestern front. Similarly, the AFU had the option of rushing towards their objective at the risk of being hit from the south or losing momentum but securing their southern flank. The Ukrainians, like the Germans, chose the latter. But unlike the Germans, the Khokhlys did not take us into the cauldron.
October 1: “Most likely there will be a lull in the next couple of days with the regrouping of Ukrainian units (which have sustained quite a bit of damage anyway). There may be action by forward DRGs. After that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are likely to launch a strike in the Borovaya-Makiivka area (a village in the LNR).
As a result, the Khokhlyas attacked Borovaya and Makiivka. Borovaya was taken on 3 October, and Makiivka has not been taken so far, despite claims. They only control the western part on the right bank of the Zherebets River. The same line along which we are trying to take the line towards Kremenna, fighting south of Makiivka for Nevske, Novosadovoye, Terny, Yampolovka and Torskoye.
This line, along the Zherebets River, is our natural defensive line. On 3 October, it says about the Zherebets River north of Makiivka: “Here it is important for the AFU to seize the Raigorodka-Makiivka line in order to obtain a bridgehead for reconnaissance of our Svatovo-Kremenna line and subsequent attack at the weakest point at the junction of the two garrisons.
And then, on 3 October, the first as yet unjustified tendency: “The line along the Oskol, in principle, has practically exhausted itself along its entire length. Soon it will be completely abandoned and Ukraine will report full control over the Kharkiv region.
The line on Oskol is still ours. And we have even managed to improve our position in the Zherebets River area by taking Krasnyaya Dibrowa accurately and possibly fully restoring the front along the Zherebets River all the way to its mouth into the Seversky Donets. We await confirmation.
It is too early to analyse the records further, such as those of 9 September. We will do it later, when some time has passed.
So, what we see is that the regrouping of the AFU after the capture of Liman is delayed. After its capture, they were able to push us out of the Oskol River as far as Tavolzhanka.
However, something went wrong with further action. They still have not been followed. What the reasons for this are unknown, I am not told by intelligence.
Before the news of our occupation of the Zherebets River line (but we have to wait for confirmation!) we might have suspected that the enemy was busy regrouping and creating a massive strike fist that would break us.
However, the AFU now appears to be a few steps away (or has already done so) from surrendering to us convenient positions to defend Kremenna.
Accordingly, they have either suffered incredible losses leading to a rollback, or have moved their forces somewhere else: either north of Raigorodka village – if we’re talking about our LNR front – or to another direction altogether. Under Artemivsk? Donetsk? Zaporizhzhya? Kherson?
In general, let’s keep an eye on the nearest news, because either something has gone very, very wrong, or the Khokhols have an unreadable (and almost all their actions since September 7 have been readable, I have proved it with quotes) cunning plan.

Ukies are trying to maintain their grid with hydro power…..
Why are they dumping all over the HPP cascade in Kyiv
The day before, a version appeared on the Web that this is how the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing an attack on Kherson or the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. And as a preparation, the water level in the Dnieper is being raised.
But most likely, this has nothing to do with the offensive. Water is being dumped because there is not enough electricity. They don’t even dump it, but let more water through the turbines.
Typically, hydroelectric power plants are used in order to smooth out fluctuations in consumption. When the peak of consumption comes and there is not enough electricity, they start the state district power station, and save water the rest of the time.
Now in Ukraine there is a constant shortage of electricity, so a lot of water passes through the state district power station. But it cannot go on like this for long. Water levels in reservoirs will drop dramatically.
“>https://t.me/OstashkoNews/31528

With the Thermal Power Plants OOC… and the Nuke plants unable to carry the load, the Ukies are running their hydro plants at max output. In this case water levels in the Denipr River will rise earlier than normally a result of the autumn rains.

I would be surprised if any aspect of this war were being run from Kiev. There are two invasions of Ukraine, one by Nato which has been building a Nazi army there for 20 years and another by Russia which has waited 20 years to invade the original invaders.
When Biden said that the two nuclear
superpowers could not safely engage militarily without nuclear confrontation he meant ‘ we have been shagging your wife for 20 years , why are you suddenly starting divorce proceedings?
Biden’s threat disgusts me, because he went as far as to threaten Europe with Nuclear destruction should Russia try to meddle with Ukraine.
I leave Biden to God’s Decision. He threatened us in Europe with total obliteration. It will take time to.implement, but there is nothing left of any special relationship that might have oncexexisted between London and Washington.

𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮’𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲-𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀!
The Biden administration cancelled a meeting between the United States and Saudi Arabia that was scheduled to take place on October 17. This was reported tonight by the Semafor news platform, citing a letter from the US embassy in Riyadh.
“The Embassy of the United States of America presents its compliments to the Gulf Cooperation Council Secretariat and hereby informs the Gulf Cooperation Council that United States officials will not be able to participate in the planned meetings of the United States – Gulf Cooperation Council Working Group on Iran Integrated Air and Missile Defense,” the letter read, as reported by Semafor.
Several American lawmakers have introduced bills aimed at pulling American troops from the kingdom and halting arms sales as well.
Recall that on Tuesday the White House said that Biden would reconsider US relations with the Saudi Arabia. The US has also accused Saudi Arabia of aligning with Russia.
The US Democratic administration continues to build up pressure on Riyadh, actively using not the most serious, but sensitive instruments so far. Ahead, we will certainly see decisions regarding the sale of arms and the situation in Yemen. The current aggravation is also taking place against the backdrop of preparations for the midterm elections, which also affects the desire to demonstrate their strength, especially considering how the KSA treated the wishes of the American President as part of the OPEC+ deal.Interestingly , Saudi’s relationship with Iran has also improved.
“>https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-cancels-key-meeting-saudi-arabia-says-report

I suggest everyone read the last 7 words of the above report first… several times….
I am certain that the SCO [Russia/China] are lobbying hard for a rapproachment between KSA and Iran. The current situation with the US at logger heads with MBS over oil supplies is more than that. It puts the US at odds with MBS over his plans to modernize the KSA economy. That is an existential matter to MBS..
I imagine that China in particular, has proposed constructive projects to assist KSA moderization, and Iran is trying to broker an end to the Yemen War.

Lots of destruction… but the Ukrainian Grid is not OOC yet…
⚡️ (http://t.me/SLG_MAPS/306)🇷🇺🇺🇦💡 Russian Armed Forces strikes on Ukraine’s Energy system on 10-11 October 2022 – @Rybar Analysis⚡️
Following massive missile strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on 10 and 11 October, it is only now that a relatively complete picture of the results of the firing and the extent of damage to certain targets is emerging.
Rybar’s team analyzed open-source data, eyewitness reports from the field, NASA’s FIRMS fire-fighting map, and information from classified sources. In some cases, the effects of a fire are not so clear and data are lacking. In such cases, the item is marked as ‘Requires clarification’.
🔻 Objects hit on 10 October:
1.1. Kiev TPP-5;
1.2. Kiev TPP-6 (presumably a miss);
1.3. Pryvokzalna 110 kV substation (former open switchgear of TETs-3);
1.4. Darnitsa TPP;
2. Tripolskaya TPP.
3. Zhitomir 330/110 kV substation;
4. Khmelnitskaya 330/110 kV substation;
5. Ternopil 330/110 kV substation;
6.1 TS Lvivskaya TETs-1
6.2 Substation Lviv-South 330/220/110 kV;
6.3 Substation Lviv-2 220/110/6kV;
7. Substation 110/35/10kV Zdolbunov TSHK (presumably, clarification needed);
8. Zapadno-Ukrainskaya 750/330kV substation (needs clarification);
9. Burshtynskaya TPP;
10. Krivoy Rog TPP;
11. Prydniprovska TES;
12. Kremenchug 330/154/35/10 kV substation;
13. Substation Konotop 330/110 kV;
14.1 Substation Zalyutino 330/110/35 kV;
14.2 Kharkov CHPP-5;
14.3 Zmievskaya TPP.
🔻 The facilities affected on 11 October:
1. Ladyzhinskaya TPP;
2. 330 kV Lvov-Yuzhnaya substation;
3. Substation 154kV Lviv -2;
4. 330kV Lvov Westerly substation (presumably, needs clarification);
5. Substation Zapadno-Ukrainskaya 750/330kV (needs clarification);
6. Substation Prydniprovskaya 750 kV;
7. Kiev TPP-6 area (presumably a miss);
8. Kiev HPP Vyshgorod;
9. PS “VDGMK” 330/150/35/6 kV Volnogorsk;
10. Pavlogradskaya 330/150/35/6kV substation (needs clarification);
11. Substation Pravoberezhnaya 330kV Zaporozhye (requires clarification).
🔻 Based on the available information, we believe that the most effective strikes were in Lvov, Kharkov, Khmelnytsky and Sumy regions.
▪️ Despite this, power supply has now been restored almost everywhere, but the transmission capacity of the power system has been reduced as a result of the strikes.
▪️ Transformers and autotransformers at 330/110 and 330/150 kV are most likely to have been hit. Substations and thermal power plants managed to reduce both generation and transmission capacity of the power system.
▪️ An indirect indication of the effectiveness of the strikes can be found in the fact that Ukraine has refused to export electricity to the EU and Moldova.
▪️ Emergency schemes are used to bypass damaged parts of the electrical system. The effect of their use creates the illusion of solving problems, but in fact it only postpones them.
🔻 However, it is clear that the damage to the Ukrainian energy system is not enough to fragment it into separate power districts. The stability of the energy system is maintained through forced rolling blackouts of consumers – especially during morning and evening peak hours.

Sorry off topic but very funny (last sentence had me in stitches)
The Economist says Liz Truss is already finished as prime minister. In a coruscating leader published online yesterday, it says:
Liz Truss is already a historical figure. However long she now lasts in office, she is set to be remembered as the prime minister whose grip on power was the shortest in British political history. Ms Truss entered Downing Street on September 6th. She blew up her own government with a package of unfunded tax cuts and energy-price guarantees on September 23rd. Take away the ten days of mourning after the death of the queen, and she had seven days in control. That is the shelf-life of a lettuce.

I watched Tulsi Gabbards website. Interesting statement. She pretty well seems to agree with VVP that her country has been taken over by Satanists and warmongers. It’s a pity that the US is run by a Uniparty – making elections as irrelevant there as in the EU – for she’d then have a political future. Maybe when NATO collapses VVP can appoint her regional governor of someplace? Denmark?

I’d say they are reducing the ability of the Ukrainians to repair. ie. allowing some electricity, to keep nuclear power station going without overheating, while at the same time minimising the quantity available.
They may not want a complete breakdown yet. So your “Oct 12 2022 9:57 utc | 412”, about slowdowns and unclear troop movements. They may just wait until the really cold weather arrives.
****
Note that there is also a “slowdown” in arms shipments, even as the more visible ones seem to be reported. (Germany et al.) The previous idea of “plausible denial” has long gone, and their increasingly visible participation in the Ukraine “war” might be making EU countries feeling vulnerable.
This is true if there really are blockages in supply, but lies are not to be excluded.
****
Yemen.
The French are also loading up on gas from Yemen. The US-Saudi side, is probably now more Israel-Saudi, as that axis increases it’s presence (Socotra).
Does the Israeli idea of becoming a future power “hub” for gas, superceed US interests?

It’s been all downhill since the beginning of the Civil War. The Swamp officially took over a now post-constitutional polity with the public assassination of JFK who was about to take on their Funny Money Cartel and their enforcement arm Intelligence both of whom had been overtly digging in with the 1913 creation of the Federal Reserve.
There is no longer any hope of reform of the Federal Boondoggle through constitutional means except by following Russia’s radical but essential proposition: return to sovereignty by returning to a decentralized Federation of Sovereign States. That is the only way forward. I pray the 2024 election is boycotted in favor of effecting this.

I further pray that the first State in the Empire of Lies to break free by declaring a Notice of Intent and Claim of Right to Sovereign Independence is the still post-war occupied extra-constitutional Federal Republic of Germany. The Bunds can form a Federation of Sovereign States or unify into one new one, in either case establishing a fully independent Sovereign State free of any outside Authorities or Treaties, including post-war occupying forces and agreements or EU entanglements, essentially starting fresh.
Then Gernany can become a valued lead nation building the energing new Eurasian civilization in so doing bringing peace to the troubled zones between Berlin and Moscow fulfilling the civilizational promise first manifest in the reign of Catherine the Great, the German Czar of Russia.
A consummation devoutly to be wished!

I have been in Saudi for close to a decade. Interesting to see the shift away from the US, but I can also remember the targeted bombings towards the Shia minorities about 4 years ago. Daesh / Isis were suicide bombing the Shia minorities in Eastern province during Friday Prayer. If these start up again them its obvious who is behind them.
Not forgetting also an attempt at de-throning MBS in Riyadh a few years ago where he was rumored to have been injured in a attack on his Palace.
Saudi is “protected” by Patriot missiles. They haven’t performed too well, with many Houthi drones prior to the ceasefire making it thru the defenses. Methinks MBS is eyeing up the S300 (or maybe S400) and comparing the costs of the Russian fighters vs the US ones.
Just as the US is using Ukraine to showcase (not very succesfully) their wares, the Russian systems are generally proving more robust.

@425 Mo3: Can you provide links, translation, backup for that bombshell report?
If this is true…the icebergs are in motion.
@427 Guy L’Estrange: Tulsi’s leaving of the Democratic party, and the eloquently expressed rationale for her departure are further evidence that fissures in the facade of control are widening. She’s good enough at politics to know what’s possible, when.
This also ties in with the bombshell delivered by Fox News commentator Carlson Tucker which unequivocally named the Biden Administration and the NeoCons specifically as the Nord Stream bombing culprits. His show was viewed by 3+ million live viewers, plus another 1.7 Million viewings of the youtube recap.
Something’s afoot. If Mo3 can provide corroborating backup of slipping central messaging control in Germany, we’ll have three dots which may suggest a line of motion.
@416 Dr. George W Oprisko, re: U.S. threatening Saudis for aligning with Russia. Another ally, under the bus-wheels. I’m not a fan of the Saudis, but political neophytes they are not. Another tectonic plate in-motion.
And for those of you wondering what the signal of Empire’s toppling-over will be, I suggest that it’ll be the day that Israel bails on the U.S.. That’s the day that the spent husk gets tossed out.
I’d also like to thank the poster…can’t find the originating post .. that pointed to the youtube video that discusses the role of the City Of London in managing trillions of dollars of unaccountable, untracked, unknown financial flows, and may actually be the global control mechanism of the “hidden hand” we all sense, but can’t quite define. It may not be the whole story, but it’s very likely a key component.
Hark back to Paul Craig Roberts’ assertion that the way the U.S. maintains control over foreign political figures is “we give them bags of money”. (my paraphrase, but it’s close). Who is the “we” that gives the bags of money, and how do the bags of money get delivered while keeping the txn totally hidden?
More clues.

Earlier:
The US Democratic administration continues to build up pressure on Riyadh, actively using not the most serious, but sensitive instruments so far. Ahead, we will certainly see decisions regarding the sale of arms and the situation in Yemen. The current aggravation is also taking place against the backdrop of preparations for the midterm elections, which also affects the desire to demonstrate their strength, especially considering how the KSA treated the wishes of the American President as part of the OPEC+ deal.Interestingly , Saudi’s relationship with Iran has also improved.
https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-cancels-key-meeting-saudi-arabia-says-report
INDY

I read somewhere years ago that SKA is a crypto-Jewish client state. If so, their current drift might be foreshadowing the collapse of US-based power with swamp rat denizens leaving the sinking ships of yesterday’s Hegemon for vessels in new and better navies, possibly those in Black and Caspian seas…
Reasonable speculation or off the deep end?
Dr O: thanks for your posts.

The only two European countries involved in a state v state active conflict are Ukraine and Russia. Would be great if you could send this ‘stop making war’ message to the country that initiated this active conflict.
Western Europe isn’t going to place any trust in Russia going forward and most of Eastern Europe never had any trust to begin with. Quite why people think the situation will reset back to pre 24 Feb conditions once this conflict is over is baffling. Ditching the US and embracing Russia is delusional.

Historically, Arabs obey USA.

Not always. There have been a number of notable exceptions – particularly around oil policy:

The 1973 oil crisis or first oil crisis began in October 1973 when the members of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), led by Saudi Arabia, proclaimed an oil embargo. The embargo was targeted at nations that had supported Israel during the Yom Kippur War.[2] The initial nations targeted were Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States, though the embargo also later extended to Portugal, Rhodesia and South Africa.

1973 oil crisis

Posted by: Arch Bungle | Oct 12 2022 12:55 utc | 452

Putin said that the West had already agreed since December to forcibly limit the price of oil from Russia.
– We will not act contrary to common sense, pay for someone else’s well-being at our own expense. We will not supply energy resources to those countries that will limit their prices.
Putin quoted Nobel laureate in economics Milton Friedman to show how their oil sanctions would end up for Europe:
– If you want to create a shortage, for example, of tomatoes, you just need to pass a law that retailers cannot sell tomatoes for more than two cents a pound. Instantly you will have a shortage of tomatoes. The same with oil and gas.

American propaganda is just so unhinged. Now they are complaining that Russia hasn’t killed enough civilians. Their missile strikes are too precise, with not enough collateral damage, which proves Russians are incompetent or something.
It is like the reverse of when they were complaining about lack of smart bombs in Syria, that Assad was killing too many of Obama’s moderate ISIS terrorists with “barrel bombs.”

Dark corners of the internet had pics of squads with Israeli assault weapon Tavor, ..and the intimation is the shooting was cover for an attempt on MBS. What I saw seemed credible and convincing. None of this made it to controlled media, of course. And the Las Vegas shooting is almost totally memory holed. I saw nothing mentioning it this October…. Yet. Something they want us to remember is rehashed on the annual anniversary for years and years… where was the “5 year anniversary” coverage ?
(The incident is the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in United States history….. On October 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock, 64….opened fire on the crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival…..From his 32nd-floor suites in the Mandalay Bay hotel, he fired more than 1,000 bullets, killing 60 people and wounding at least 413…) [crickets]

Kit Klarenberg is producing some incredible, highly detailed investigative journalism for Grayzone and I’d like to thank b for once again providing a link to his work on the MOA site.
The most dangerous, rabid Atlanticists choreographing the Russia-Ukraine war now seem to be “across the pond” in England. I’m talking MI5, MI6, GCHQ. The Secret Intelligence Services head is currently a former ambassador to Turkey, Richard Moore, and the Kerch bridge terrorist incident has now shed light on the sinister statecraft activities of his employees. These men and women seem infused with peculiarly English delusional spy fantasies that Americans may not be familiar with. (The authors W.E. Johns, Ian Fleming, Patrick O’Brian, for instance, may be inspirational for operational nomenclature.) But most English speakers know that
Rule Britannia, Britannia rules the waves……
My rule is, if it involves water, think MI6! When it comes to BangBang their wet dream is doing navy stuff. The Atlantic- tick! Next- “Indo-Pacific”. Today Australian news carried yet more Sinophobia, but this time delivered by GCHQ spokesspy Jeremy Fleming. Britannia wants Australia in NATO, methinks.
There is a lot of talk about certain posters as trolls. Well, let’s return to Kit Klarenberg, who has written this splendid article about troll farms, organised by the usual subjects. It’s brilliant. A whole new take on elves. Elves even have academies:

Australian lady @468: “My rule is, if it involves water, think MI6!”
I’d never thought of that.
To continue with general rules, my addition would be if it involves aircraft, think CIA.

Netherlands will supply Ukraine with missile defense and air defense missiles worth more than € 15 million. Kiev will receive additional MARS II MLRS and PzH 2000 self—propelled guns in the next few weeks – the German Defense Ministry
It seems 30% energy lost in Ukr in 2 days isn’t enough for nato. More weapons, more troops.
And when are the new troops arriving? Very little progress made on the ground for a long time.

As we saw with Mariupol, if you’re intent on conquering land, there’s comes a time to destroy cities and kill everyone in them.
But using cruise missiles to do so seems like a waste of limited resources.

So in other words about one launcher and ten missiles? That’ll last all of an afternoon!

if you’re intent on conquering land, there’s comes a time to destroy cities and kill everyone in them.

24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
— Genesis 19, KJV

There’s a solid precedent.

KARL…CAN YOU PLS SAVE TO YOUR VK, IN CASE b deletes as this is very long…but it offers insight into the pipeline wars and the killing fields of Ukrainian …
A follow on from my post earlier in thread. Since 2015 I have been aware of the East Mediterranean gas field, claimed by Israel and Lebanon..the “pipe dream” was to develop this field and supply gas to Europe.
Problems / roadblocks started with the high cost of developing the field, which was not viable given the cheap Russian gas already in the European market.
Solution? Remove Russian gas. Increase cost of gas to Europe.
= profit.
When I first read this fantastical vision I thought “that’ll never happen”. Every few years I’d see another item as the plan progressed.
And. Here we are. Russian gas is out of Europe. Higher (much higher) Gas prices make Israeli East Med field a very viable enterprise..
This is a recent item, not the quite detailed one I read in 2015. (At the time of Russia going into Syria)…

East Mediterranean put on the World Map for Supply of Gas
The Ukrainian-Russian crises created an unexpected opportunity to the East Mediterranean to supply Europe with gas and LNG.
The high gas prices in Europe, makes the gas of the East Med very competitive and is seen as a potential key supply source for Europe as it looks to replace Russian gas. European gas prices are presently higher than anywhere else globally and are still trading at a premium to Asian spot gas prices.
Among the potential players is the US Oil Giant Chevron which has a large gas position in the East Mediterranean following its acquisition of Noble Energy fields in Israel and Cyprus in 2020.
It operates the producing Leviathan and Tamar fields in Israel and is also operator of the license containing the Aphrodite discovery offshore Cyprus. Gas from Leviathan and Tamar is currently used to supply both the domestic Israeli market and export markets in Egypt and Jordan.
Chevron is was looking at several options for monetizing those gas resources in the form of LNG.
The European Commission in June signed a memorandum of understanding with Israel and Egypt on the potential for Israeli gas to be piped to Egypt and then liquefied for supply to Europe.
Another option for Chevron is a floating LNG liquefaction, which could be a good option as well.
Interest in East Mediterranean gas has spiked since the Russian invasion of Ukraine as an option for supply diversification and a way to help bring down prices.
But with LNG the response time is long as it takes time for new projects to reach final investment decision and then be developed.
Other oil majors are giving the East Med gas a priority in their future strategies, which will help boost swiftly the further development of the gas fields in Egypt, Cyprus, Israel and Lebanon.
The proximity of these fields to Europe to satisfy a huge demand to the old continent is very helpful.
Already oil companies are discussing seriously all options for shipping the gas to Europe including FLNG.
Thus, the chief of the Italian Oil Major ENI announced that Italian his company will fully replace Russian gas by 2025 by using additional resources from the eastern Mediterranean, Reuters reported during a Gastech 2022 conference in Milan this week.
The Rome-based multinational oil and gas company, with interests in waters off Cyprus as well, had said in an April statement it would pump up the extra gas by this fall, adding up to 9 bcf of Algerian gas by 2023-24.
Cypriot Energy Minister Natasa Pilides, who also attended the conference, has been making the case for the Republic of Cyprus, saying the island’s offshore gas and latest discoveries could strengthen both Europe’s energy security and energy transition.
Pilides, who also sat on a ministerial panel titled “Unlocking and accelerating the natural gas potential of the Eastern Mediterranean basin,” has said that new gas discovered in the Cronos-1 well, in Block 6 of Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone, EEZ, could contribute to the revival of interest in the eastern Mediterranean energy corridor envisioned by the countries of the region.
The Cypriot minister mentioned during Gastech 2022 that floating liquefied natural gas “is one option, or the gas could go to Egypt.”
The Cypriot minister told delegates at the event that Nicosia had “very positive messages” from Eni as well as the Italian company’s French partner Total.
ENI, which operates the huge Zohr gas field in Egypt’s EEZ, reportedly has been looking to optimize its exploration campaigns in existing blocks as well as newly acquired acreage in the Nile Delta, Eastern Mediterranean and Western Desert regions.
Egypt has persistently emerged as the most likely hub best positioned to provide short-term exports to Europe, with Nicosia seeking to benefit from Cairo’s facilities and infrastructure that could receive Cypriot gas.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held talks with Cypriot Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Natasa Pilides on the sidelines of his participation at the Gastech Exhibition and Conference 2022 in Milan, Italy.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed joint cooperation projects and the conditions of the oil and gas market in light of the challenges that they face.
The two ministers highlighted the importance of continuing coordination and constructive cooperation between both sides in light of the increasing importance of natural gas, especially during the energy transition.
They also discussed what task forces on both sides have accomplished to support the bonds of cooperation under the umbrella of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF).
During his speech, El Molla noted that the east Mediterranean region became a trusted source of natural gas to the European markets.
He added that the trilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed between Egypt, Israel, and the European Union for trading and transporting natural gas is one of the most successful activities for the forum.
The important news from these latest developments is that the companies are moving seriously to make things happen and this is always much more efficient than the governments, which role should be offering the needed support to facilitate a swift implementation of the planned projects.
————
And this from a Nat South item I read at The Saker a few years back:
“Wider context
A proposed 1,900-kilometer long gas pipeline, ‘EastMed’ is being studied and gaining approvals.
This pipeline would go from Israeli natural gas fields to Cyprus, then onwards to Crete, Greece and to southern Italy.
It is a significant project, giving Israel the ability to export natural gas, mostly from the Leviathan field found in 2010, which is estimated to hold 22 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
The U.S. is supportive of this project since it would help to reduce Europe’s reliance on Russian natural gas”
https://natsouth.livejournal.com/15393.html

For those interested…. “East Mediterranean gas” into search engine of choice…. See if you can find a quite detailed article from around 2015, explaining the “pipeline wars”, and the competing interests in getting pipelines across Syria (back then) or the South Stream (which the US successfully killed when but a zygote).
Remember. Trump’s the foreign policy advisory panel member, George Papadopoulos was originally fed to Trump because he had East Med gas and energy consultancy on his resume.
From 2011 to 2015, he worked as a research fellow at the Hudson Institute in Washington D.C. His research predominantly focused on the geopolitics and energy security changes of both the Caspian and Eastern Mediterranean and their impact on U.S. strategy.
George designed the first ever project in Washington, D.C. think tank history on U.S., Egypt, Greece, Cyprus and Israel relations at a symposium: “Power Shifts in the Eastern Mediterranean: The Emerging Strategic Relationship of Israel, Greece, and Cyprus.”
The event was widely covered and has provided U.S. policymakers with an alternative approach to responding to the simultaneous political, security and energy changes in the region.
George has consulted for energy companies operating in the Eastern Mediterranean and Caspian and has written reports on both Israel’s and Cyprus’ upstream natural gas market structure that have been briefed to regulatory authorities.
George’s work on the topics has been published and cited in the Washington Times, Jamestown Foundation, Hudson Institute, Jerusalem Post, Natural Gas Europe, Haaretz, Hurriyet, Arutz Sheva and Phileleftheros.
He has been awarded by the U.S. State Department as a finalist to represent the United States at UNESCO in 2011.
And then. One evening, he had drinkies with Alexander Downer in a salubrious London wine bar…..

Good Morning MoA barflys from the West Coast of America land.
The shit show continues until it doesn’t and have we got one going now!
After skimming the Intertubes this morning I posit that we are nearing some sort of inflection point….and I base that on the noise from the financial world, though on the surface it looks fairly calm……this is the part of our civilization war that us meat sacks at the bottom don’t get to see but is more crucial than the rest….all human economic interchange rely on the mythical value of our current “money” and when it goes POOF! ……….where will human faith in providing that base form of economic interchange evolve to???
Stay tuned….

In all fairness, those referendums for reunification of ethnic Hungarians and Romanians should not be done on the basis of extant Oblasts. Reason being, that these Oblasts are generally mixed bags of ethnicities, where the majority might well prefer to remain part of a new Ukrainian state, when that becomes reality.
Rather the referenda, should they be “suggested”, should be on a district by district basis within the stated Oblasts. Generally, the Romanian and Hungarian ethnics are mostly concentrated in particular clusters. Thus they could be detached from a future Ukrainian state and returned to their ethnic homelands. At the same time, the population elements who speak the Ukrainian dialect could opt to remain within that newly structured state.
