If you’re wondering why the masters are in charge, just follow some of these threads.
90%+ don’t have sufficient IQ to even begin understanding basic fundamentals. However, among the latter 10%, it seems a high number are definitely on the spectrum.
Witness the success of these astounding troll baiting exchanges. Unbelievable. It’s like the golden age of usenet before anyone really understood what they were dealing with.
Here’s a bit of advice (notwithstanding most will ignore): we are living through an epoc changing historic event.
It’s not everyday a major empire is actually failing in real time. But not just passing, but being challenged and succeeded by another coalition.
Why engage in fruitless debates, real or imagined? Just bet your book. Look to move to Russia if you think that’s where the action is.
Or, as I asked scorpion earlier, figure out what you think your regional impact will be, in this case Monroe dominated latin america.
Will the dying empires grip strengthen as overseas outposts are reduced? Will the Pi standard (cute huh – putin + Xi turned into an easy nic. Hate RoW) finance/staff encroachment?
As we can see, everything is up for grabs. Think external, think positive. This is a great time to be alive.

for decades ive said that it takes at least 110 to sense something is wrong. Around 120-125 is required to actually understand the game.
So that puts us at 1-2%, half of whom are on the playing side, leaving a paltry smidge to call out and criticize.
This why ‘democracy’ was a genius move.

Reverse the situation where we’ve been under existential threat our entire lives, and some power is placed and ready to invade.
There’s a reason “exist” is the core of existential.

I think I missed it, sorry. Many threads going on here, cannot keep up. (Plus humiliated myself in ill-conceived sidebars about Kings and Gasoline alternatives!)
I’m just praying there is no nuclear fallout in my neck of the woods and there is enough local produce from our garden and the locals to weather any storms.
Last night I had a scary dream, the first in decades. There was a noise downstairs in the new house we are building but had now moved into. There I encountered an assailant who turned to me brandishing a large, sharp kitchen knife. I was not brave and did not approach. Then woke up rather than deal with the challenge. Not a good augury about the new house.
But one little detail that turns it on its head: the assailant was short, white with blond hair. Not Mexican-looking at all. (Nor, given some of the comments on this thread, Jewish!).
Maybe it means that the White World will follow us up into our little very-non-white village and find a way to knife us somehow? Or food poisoning from Iceberg Lettuce from Sweden??
Anyway, if I wasn’t following the news I would have no idea that important things are going on in the world. No evidence of them here apart from a few things having gone up in price a little but not everything. The big political news I heard is that recent revelations are that AMLO is in bed with the military and that his replacement in a few years might be the owner of the rather corrupt but ubiquitous Banco Azteca whose branches are usually deep in the back of large stores selling appliances and motorcycles on (B.Azteca) credit. So my plan is at some point to stop following the news when we move into hill country and hope that by doing so I give it less reason to follow us up there!

Down South @ 300

The main backbone, the backbone network with a voltage of 750 kV, continues to function quietly.
The backbone is concentrated in central and western Ukraine. This was done purposefully back in Soviet times, since the entire 750 kV network was created for the transportation of electricity from the nuclear power plants of the former Ukraine SSR to the MIR energy system (the unified energy system of the European COMECON member countries).

…. USUK-NATO are prepping to take | defend Odessa. That’s what I see….
Posted by: Melaleuca | Oct 22 2022 20:03 utc | 286

That definitely seems the case. A combination of UA manpower losses, equipment losses, increasingly pointed grid hits, sanction blowback, multi-pronged Axis fatigue behind all the Long War talk.
If the Axis can force things to a ceasefire now, they keep Odessa as a NATO port and transit point for all that newly acquired farmland, they also keep the Russian-speaking enclave of Transnistria trapped behind their own lines as hostages. If they lose Odessa they lose all that, plus whatever offshore gas deposits there might be in that area.

While I am obviously less convinced than you of the assertions contained in “The Creature from Jekyll Island”, I agree that they are still far more interested in the welfare of Wall Street than Main Street.
Here is a less official analysis:

…the top 4 banks Bank of America (BAC), JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, and Wachovia, would control roughly 50% of the stock of the Federal Reserve Bank, and the top 10 banks, including Wells Fargo (WFC), HSBC (HBC), and the Bank of New York (BK), would control over 68% of the stock…

None of these financial organizations have any of the families you mentioned in Senior Management or on their Boards of Directors. Your allegations may have been correct 100 or 70 and even to a lesser extent 50 years ago, but not now. You are welcome to live in some conspiratorial past, which may have been true to some degree.
Most sensible folks have moved on to outing today’s cast of nefarious actors.

I wonder if Lubas realizes that he is deploying into a former soviet oblast, and is in fact stationed on formerly Warsaw Pact territory. He and his men are a heartbeat from the den of the Beast. There is a sense of arrogance in the air, much akin to what I surmise enveloped General Custer.
One of My favourite observation from someone on this board…

It is not worthwhile to hit the presidential palace at Bankowo street in Kiev, as it would be a waste of a missile. But it is much better to hit the energy infrastructure. And, maybe the banking system, and/or the government and military server park. It doesn’t matter how deep underground they are situated, Kinzhals can destroy them.
But still, it would be pretty hard to run the banking system, server park etc without electricity. Without electricity, all state tools/apparatus would crash. End of story for Ukraine.

The Internet connection in Kherson has gone completely down.
This suggests three things:
1. They’re blocking any transmission of traffic information
2. Possible saturation of the city and the region with new military units
3. Sweeping the city of Ukrainian SBU/GUR agents
Getting ready for something big?
There is little faith in the withdrawal from the city.
Our sources are leaning more towards the idea that the city will be cleaned up and prepared to face an attack by the AFU, which Zelensky demands during the US elections.

USUK-NATO are prepping to take | defend Odessa.
I need to ask here respectable bar-goers how any combat force can do that unnoticed and undisturbed while trying to land?
I mean RF has pretty much wide view reconnaissance over the area and while everyone thinks different or doesn’t talk about it a Black Sea Fleet + RF Aerospace Force is pretty much sufficient deterrent to any such action.
Also Turkye needs to let imaginary military landing force through, into the Black Sea, and I somehow doubt that as Erdogan is not about to spoil the lucrative Russo-Turk gas deal.
Anyhow, I think that if such action happens, RF will be more motivated to obliterate non-Slavic units as in comparison to their Ukrainian cousins.
Does NATO UK/US cannot read the room?
Room sez:
Stay out of it, stop supplying weapons as Ukraine needs to negotiate peace, now.
I also think that is what Shoigu told to US ina recent phone call.

Dear Marko etc.
First has the geography of western Europe magically changed the last 100 years?
In 1941 Germany had to invade Russia to find the food, mineral and energy resources to survive as a first world economy … has western Europe suddenly struck oil, found farmland and opened mines since the end of WW2?
You seem to think that spreadsheet entries with lots of zeros and paper bills can be magically converted into weapons … money represents wealth but until it’s turned into something usable it’s just a spreadsheet entry or a pile of paper.

Second – the 101st is light infrantry, they‘d get cut to pieces in any real battle….unless they would be used to secure a symbolic big coastal city that’s only 340km away from their current base – Odessa.

One of the drawbacks of centralized utility systems (as opposed to distributed, local) is they are easy to crash. And since we like “just in time” and “no redundancy” economics, it stays down, costs a bundle to fix. The electric grid and dams are among the easiest places to start causing havoc. Electricity is very popular for doing anything, with batteries, and Bluetooth, and WiFi, and all that crap.
We were just talking about how hard it is to take out a distributed military force compared to one that is all in one place.

A topic that comes up now and then (wife*, a few friends) is to which side do you retreat?
I say SoCal, others think Baja. Socal will of course be in the middle of the shit show, but at least you know who’s who, have protection, “money”, etc
The locals are fine, but it’s their country, so what happens when the ATM doesn’t work? As you know, this is a patronage culture – what happens when your perceived aura of wealth/power dissappear?
Second, do a flood of Americans cross south? How would mx pay for it? Do 10s of millions mx family based return as well? Not sure even your zone might be immune from this dynamic.
This is what gets my attention. I like moa but it definitely has a high noise ratio. Exciting times – people who know what’s happening should really be fully engaged wherever they may be.
* Like most, spouse thought it was mostly hyperbole. A few people she knows (a 10-k exec, another an oan insider) raised similar questions in passing. Now she accepts the truth but prefers not to think about it.

Mis-posted in the ‘Outage’ channel —
With fewer than 15 days until the elections, Team Biden must be in a frenzy, demanding a big result w.r.to Kherson — after Afghanistan, another loss would be disastrous for the Dems’ hopes in the House and Senate.
It would appear that the various Ukr attempts to break the defensive line on the right flank have met with little or no success, so will the Bidens eventually demand plan B — an all-out frontal assault against the deadly defensive fortifications in the immediate Kherson region that the Russians have had since March to prepare.
If memory serves, I believe that one of the Russian generals said ” … we have some surprises for them’ — one can only wonder …
Various Telegram channels have reported the Ukr general-in-chief has been strenuously advising Zel against a frontal assault, so it remains to be seen if Zel can withstand the American pressure.

I find it interesting that the trolls have switched from the “Russia is committing atrocities” line to the “Russia is not stopping Ukraine from committing atrocities” line when condemning Russia.
Even the trolls recognize reality? Or do they realize that the Empire’s “Russia bad so they bomb themselves” narrative doesn’t fly with the educated people on this site, so they use a different line.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ We have discovered some details about the Ukrainian command’s plans to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
As we know, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently tried to seize it. A detachment of about 250 Ukrainian servicemen was being prepared for this purpose. The landing across the Dnieper failed. Most of the attackers in boats and speedboats were destroyed.
It was not possible to assemble a new landing force among the Ukrainian military, as the mobilised men flatly refused to take part in this adventure.
The NATO handlers formed a detachment of about 200 foreign mercenaries to carry out this task. Most of them are American and British marines.
This detachment is preparing to force the Dnieper again and seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
As we have written before, this facility is very important for the leadership of Ukraine. Especially after today’s strikes on the Ukrainian power system, which is already close to total destruction.

This is so stupid way to try to seize this area.
Direct attack over the very wide reservoir is about the same as attacking over the flat steppe – what could go wrong?
I really doubt that RF is worried about that.

@OohCanada 228
It looks as of the Russian forces are sending waves of low-cost drones which are largely invulnerable to MANPADS and the Western sourced AA systems currently operated by Ukraine towards Ukrainian target zones, and then as the drones are about to hit, delivering synchronized cruise missile strikes. They then wait for the Ukraine to sortie their few remaining aircraft, and shoot them down at long ranges.
For Ukraine, which has used up, sold, broken or mislaid the Soviet systems they once had and which might have been effective, this is a total disaster, and it is very evident to them that no Western systems are effective or even available* in sufficient quantities to hope to slow Russia. Russia appears to be producing about 200 drones and at least 12,000 artillery shells, in addition to a broad range of missiles a day, in order to demilitarize the Ukraine and rebuild their stocks of munitions.
*This morning Ukraine was complaining that they have already used all the ammunition supplied with the German systems delivered this week.

Acc to some news sources it has already started though most go to urban areas like Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and a few others. That said, an American couple just bought a house not far from ours. I was shocked since I rarely see Americans in the towns around here let alone up in the villages higher up. Retired couple previously near PV. But we’ll see, I guess. Though I suspect if things really break down – money system failures, power outages, ATM lock-outs etc. – that coming down to Mx won’t be any different. When covid happened Mx did what all the other developed countries did and in lockstep. And if there are grid failures they’ll probably happen down here too.
I didn’t move here for any political or defensive reason in anticipation of world changes etc. I just liked this area for a variety of reasons and we also liked the property and had the yen to stop renting. No idea if it will work out but it feels good every time we’re on the property and we’ll start from there.

I’m moving this post from today’s ‘Outage’ forum to here. Seems lots of peeps passed out at the bar last night, woke up today and just went on drinking.
Anyone want to explain why Belgorod needs a long defensive line of anti-tank obstacles, I think these are called dragon’s teeth? No need to mention these are not to prevent rockets and shells or nighttime saboteurs but a full on assault by an entire mechanized army with several divisions of tanks, anything less would be pointless suicide. So, NATO is preparing for an infantry invasion into weakly defended Russian soil? This is where we are at now?
https://t.me/c/1335606541/59561
Ukraine has no claim on Belgorod so neither do its handlers, obviously NATO isn’t up for marching on Moscow. The shelling and sabotage attacks make sense as wanton, desperate reprisals by Ukraine but an infantry assault into Russia does not and Ukraine itself has no means whatsoever to effect one. Only logic is RF has info that NATO is preparing a full on assault by several armies into Belarus and Russia at weakly guarded Belgorod (and likely Transnistria and into Kherson from the south with the Screaming Eagles in Romania) this would force Russia to pull totally out of eastern Ukraine to defend the homeland. Strike a peace deal where Russia keeps Crimea and job done for NATO.
I’m sort of being provocative here but someone doesn’t just lay miles hedgehogs and dig miles trenches because they have nothing better to do. Russia has always said since Soviet days that they’ll nuke any army marching towards their border, you’d think that would be enough and would override any need for an anti-tank line.
This hedgehog thing is strange. Russia shouldn’t lay the tank traps, it’s just more ambiguity that only leads NATO on, best let the nuke threat speak for itself.
Maybe someone here has some insights on this Belgorod defensive line?

101 airborne? Invading Ukraine?
That puts them in a place they have no reason to be.
But if they insist and get in the way of Russians fighting ‘Ukrainians’ it would be a shame.
DDay would look like a picnic (it largely was- only happened after Red Army had defeated the proxy Nazis in the Eastern front and allies had to get boots on the ground to stop the Red Army from having to do all the heavy lifting all the way to the Manche – to show Stalin that they were spilling blood too).
Don’t know how many hundreds died just by failing gliders, parachutes and sinking landing boats because they got swamped. But thousands overall in the first day. The Germans held back and didn’t counter attack the beaches, curiously.
Still it made another Hollywood Truth rewriting set of fairy tales.

US is not going to publicly send troops to Ukraine, Russia have already lost, there is no need for US to involve itself even more, they got Russia to failure.
Just take this news,

According to Ukrainian sources, at least 30 Geran-2 loitering ammunition is flying from Crimea towards Ukraine.

Russia use drones….from Iran….trying to achive…what? Is Russia a third world fighting army? Use your friggin robots! Missiles!
And now Nikolaev have to be evacuated, this is just ridiculous

Gauleiter of Nikolaev called on the civilian population of the city to evacuate from Nikolaev. All this is happening against the backdrop of the evacuation of the population of Kherson. Something will happen soon…

You really believe US have to involve itself even more? Russia fail by their own strategy they use, or lack of.

I think NATO planners + Ukraine use the proximity of Belogord to provoke and distract Russia as much as they can. It was part of Ukrainian People’s Republic that existed from 1917-1920, so maybe some symbolic idea is behind there.
It is a pretty important strategic knot for railroad transit and some vital supply road lines South and South East to Donbass and further on.
It just seems as it is sidelined for now, but after Southern front is solved, I think a very deep buffer zone might be established there.
But I doubt that Ukraine will try to take on Belogord or even try to conquer some of its nearby area.
There is also a pretty big RF military presence a bit further north of it and it does nothing atm.

USA has a third of it’s people obese. That’s the ones on the back of pickup trucks killing coloured Americans .
Just like the Nazis in Europe, these maggots are controlled by Jews. Quite a few years ago, the Jews bombed Lebanon for 3 weeks. Then they went in and were uprooted by hizbullah. They have never set foot since.
Under Regan 300 Americans died in a bomb attack. they left.
Are you telling me that America who has killed millions indiscriminately from the air can go against Russia who won WW2 and destroyed Napoleon? They have way better aircraft and way better troops. They also have missiles that are way superior and can destroy everything on Europe and those USA coffins offshore.
Patience is a virtue so keep bleating for a few more weeks. Hu jintao was kicked out of the CCP congress today. An appeaser with USA and against a hard stance against Taiwan. The gloves are off..
If you evil bastards ever attack Russia, you will get what you wholely deserve. You will be put in your place for prolonging your parasitic nature. Democracy be damned!

We keep hearing about how talk of Ukrainian Nazis is just so much Russia propaganda, yet we’re also routinely confronted with example after example of Ukrainian citizens and soldiers alike demonstrating sympathy with or wearing symbols of Nazism or Nazi-affiliated groups. The latest? A video of Ukrainian paratroopers singing a song of praise for Stepan Bandera, the Ukrainian World War II figure and Nazi sympathizer who helped with the extermination of thousands of Ukrainian Jews.
Jimmy and The Dive’s Jackson Hinkle discuss the ongoing effort to pretend that Ukraine doesn’t have a Nazi problem despite overwhelming evidence of such.

Can I make a proposal to some commenters here: couldn’t you change your gnat routine to a funny one? EG, Z-non and M-co could imitate Abbott and Costello or Laurel and Hardy, or if they teamed up with RC (they meet at work anyhow) they could make a trio like the Stooges. It would definitely improve the atmosphere and their popularity would rocket. It might also save them from stress ulcers as the Russians clearly remain in control, however much NATO is stamping its feet in impotent anger…

Russia has every chance of winning in a total war with the West. There in the ‘west’ a rare combination of crises is concentrated – energy, food, debt (which will develop into the strongest financial crisis in 100 years), structural, logistical and currency (undermining confidence in reserve currencies).
Russia provides itself with all primary raw materials: oil, gas, coal, ferrous, non-ferrous and rare earth metals, fertilizers, agricultural raw materials. In principle, Russia can never have an energy or food crisis. Something that 9/10 of the world’s population (especially Europe and Japan) cannot afford, and Russia is lucky with its geographical position.

It looks as of the Russian forces are sending waves of low-cost drones
@ Hermit
This brings to mind Patrick Cockburn’s insight, three years ago:
The drone attacks in Saudi Arabia have changed the nature of global warfare

Excuses advanced for this failure include the drones flying too low to be detected and unfairly coming from a direction different from the one that might have been expected. Such explanations sound pathetic when set against the proud boasts of the arms manufacturers and military commanders about the effectiveness of their weapons systems.

Aircraft carriers no longer make sense — except as big fat targets — in the age of drones.

Did you live in Mexico during the entirety of Covid-1984? If so, a few questions:
Yes, in two different zones. When it hit, was in a beach town in Oaxaca where we were planning to spend 2-3 months but when covid hit in mid-March we decided to stay by the ocean until it passed.
– Did workers stop commuting?
Not that sort of place, but I don’t think so anywhere. Where I was the hotels closed down completely, and all over Mexico all parks were shut down. For a few weeks they stopped cars entering our town though I don’t think they ever stopped flights. (We had many Italians there and the flu hit hard the first month. I got it. Very bad.) Had to wear masks in all businesses the first month or so, thereafter – and still today – in banks, clinics, govt buildings and supermarkets, big stores.
In Mexico they are called cobre bocas which means ‘cover mouths’ so the first month everyone walked around with them below their noses but covering their mouths! I had bought N95 masks in mid-February long before it hit North America and was the only person I saw with one. They made me dizzy if worn for more than 30 minutes so soon started wearing a useless cloth mask instead. Most people wore those or also useless blue surgical masks. People to this day where I am walk around with them outside, even alone in the countryside. But not everyone. Some do, some don’t.
– Did grocery stores mandate masks?
Yes. All businesses for a while but around summer (3+ months) it started to relax except banks, govt buildings etc.
– Did employers mandate genetic experiments?
Don’t think so. Often saw long lines when they were released. I don’t think anyone had to pay for them.
– Were any traditional vaccines (originally only Sinovac) available?
Sinovac was available along with the main MRNAs. I read that Cuban ones would be provided but not sure if they ever were. I don’t know after that since don’t follow them.
– Were older antiviral drugs removed from the market? Don’t think so, but:
I got HCQ over the counter in early March – a few days before Trump mentioned it – because was extremely ill with either Dengue or covid and it cleared up in only 12 hours, something have never before experienced with a bad flu, so that was interesting. When I went back a week later I couldn’t get it any longer because it was reserved for hospital use only. I ended up buying $100 worth from India but it took 3 months to arrive. Recently, HCQ became a controlled substance so one can only get it with a prescription. And a few weeks ago a doctor refused to prescribe it for me (even though it is often prescribed for people with Lyme Disease which I have) because he thought it a cortico-steroid but I’ve since found another doctor who will prescribe it even without a meeting. Different strokes for different folks, like everywhere.
Ivermectin has always been and still is available but in packets of 2 or 4 pills. It’s mainly an anti-parasite for humans and dogs. That first doctor said it was ridiculous to take it. But one good thing about that doctor (who I’ll never see again!): he is anti-vaccine because not properly tested etc. which is obviously the case. Go figure.
– Did the country allow travelers to enter/exit without testing?
Yes. Still do. They like tourists. The hotels opened back up in the beach town after about 6 months. After three months locals were allowed back on the beach but at first they just shut down everything. At the same time as the beaches were closed most restaurants remained open, some only doing delivery (up to the businesses), and people were asked to wear masks walking to and from the tables but not whilst seated at them. Taxis kept going. I was furious they closed the beaches since they were the safest and most healthy places to be. Indeed we rented a place for longer in order to weather the pandemic because I had a sense it wouldn’t be a typical 1-2 month crisis, but the day after we signed a lease near the nicest beach there they closed them all down!!! If I had known beforehand we would have headed up to the mountains! That sort of thing happens all the time in Mexico!

That depends entirely on who has it and what it is being used for.
If a surplus of money stimulates demand that cannot be satisfied, then it will be inflationary.
For example, despite half-a-century of proof that trickle-down policies are a scam intended to benefit only the oligarchs, furing the 2008 crisis and again during the CoViD pandemic, banksters were essentially given mountains of public money and a free rein to produce more, with politicians claiming that this would somehow help “the people”. This did not produce inflation, which is when prices rise when demand for a good exceeds the ability to satisfy the demand. Or supply side cost increases cause the value of goods to rise. Instead, the bankers used our funds to buy everything worth stealing and ran the valuation of income producing assets to stratospheric levels. As they were not generally competing with the public, who had, and still have, much less money, reducing demand, inflation remained insignificant. It was only as interest rates began to rise, requiring more income to satisfy interest costs, sanctions tariffs and incompetent diplomacy tightened supplies, and the native greed of the oligarchs overruled sense, that stagflation (reduced demand and rising prices) has overtaken global markets. The insanity of trying to cure stagflation by tightening money supplies as food, water, fuel and fertilizer supplies collapse, markets are destroyed and employment vanishes are worsening the situation.
In the unlikely event we avoid thermonuclear extinction, it is probable that we are about to make the 1930s look like boom time. The loss of markets we have abandoned, the petrodollar and the US dollar’s reserve status along with sense, means that the US is unlikely to recover it’s ability to loot the rest of the world, which will return it to it’s pre-WW I third-world status with no obvious path to recover.

A number of members of The Traditional Enemies of Free Speech, yes that group, want all sides to be spoken of, except their own. They are posting here ADL/Trotsky style, saying ban all speech by people we hate! With them it is always, ban this, censor that, sanction them, then bomb them. And they accuse the rest of us of hate. What it is is projection.
Their group looms large in this war. The Dictator of Ukraine is one of them, as is the Defense Minister. Their group controls the Ukranian Bank, and nearly the entire media of Ukraine.
And the Dictator has said he wants Ukraine, formerly Khazaria, to become a New Big Israel.
Seems relevant to the crisis, but no, the ADL types say, cannot speak of it. But why? Truth is dangerous to them? That must be it.

🇷🇺🇺🇦🇺🇸 Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would lose combat capability if Russian troops seized supply lines in the Volyn and Lvov regions, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Davis, the Ukrainian army will not be able to conduct hostilities for several months if the Russian Armed Forces cut off the land route for the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Poland.
An American expert considers the route through the Carpathians along the Slovak and Romanian borders as an alternative route for Western deliveries of military equipment, but this is an extremely difficult route.
Davis said that in this case, the Armed Forces of Ukraine would quickly run out of ammunition and missiles for HIMARS systems, and it would not be possible to replace them in time.
Meanwhile, Russia will secure uninterrupted supplies.

Davis said that in this case, the Armed Forces of Ukraine would quickly run out of ammunition and missiles for HIMARS systems, and it would not be possible to replace them in time.
Meanwhile, Russia will secure uninterrupted supplies.

The 101st Airborne light infantry division stationed in Romania is far from any military action in Ukraine, and is not equipped for modern combat if it were.

They brought some CH-47 Chinooks. Designed in 1957, introduced in 1962. Museum pieces. RF is terrified.

All US wars end with helicopter images.

The idea that US troops, fighting in a morass without numerical, artillery, tank or air superiority, GPS or even effective communications will somehow magically do better than Ukrainians, when the US has always lost under such circumstances is ludicrous. These are not combat troops. They are either some idiot in Washington stupid enough to imagine that Russia will not react if US troops intervene as happened at Pristina International Airport, or, more likely, sacrificial offerings to “justify” using nuclear weapons in a prelude to human extinction.
In other words, the largest escalation to date.
Remember to tell the people you care about that you love them at every opportunity. Each may well be the last.

CNN
Kherson resident describes a ghost town of exhausted people, with acute shortages of medicine

A resident of Kherson has described the situation in the Russian-occupied city as tense, with people “emotionally exhausted,” the streets empty from mid-afternoon onwards, and Russian soldiers often seen in civilian clothes.
The woman was reached by CNN through a third party, and was speaking shortly before the Russian-appointed administration in the city ordered civilians to leave.
The administration said Saturday that “due to the tense situation at the front, the increased danger of massive shelling of the city and the threat of terrorist attacks, all civilians must immediately leave the city and cross to the East bank of the Dnipro!” . . .here

Apparently she didn’t get the message: USA! USA!

That CBS report does not show anything like a brigade.
If heavy traffic was moving the flight traffic obsessives would be all over it and all over it for a while now.
As mere saber rattling it is disturbing enough.

@Gordon 276
There are urns filled with the remnants of incinerated children across the Levant, dated to between c2700 and c330 BCE. Many of these bones show signs of butchery. Such evidence is broadly accepted as being proof of child sacrifice in other cultures, particularly in Carthage. There commemorative stelae leave no doubt about these being sacrificial victims. They were offered up in payment of a vow. Even though Carthage is not Palestine, scholars are able to compare Canaanite and Israelite findings with the clearly identified markers of child sacrifice in Carthage. Moreover, in Mesopotamia and Jerusalem, scholars have found epigraphic sources that record the practice. North Mesopotamian texts after c 2700 BCE signify the burnt offering of male children in honor Hadad. A Syrian inscription indicates that people burnt their children for their gods Adrammelech and Anammelech. The Ugaritic writings which evolved into the Jewish scriptures, which we know were constructed by the Akkadian priests to counteract millennia of Egyptian rule attests that the burnt offering of children was current in early Palestinian religion (Lev. 20:2; Deut. 12:31; 2 Ki. 16:3; 17:31; 23:10; Jer. 7:30-32; 19:3-5; Ezek. 16:20-21). For instance, Jeremiah, an Israelite prophet, mentioned many times that Israelites have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in fire as offerings to Baal (Jer. 19:5). The practice is clearly described in two stories in the Bible. Abraham is willing to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, as a burnt offering and to kill Isaac before burning him (Gen. 22:1-19). The only daughter of Jephthah, a Jewish judge, asks to go into hills and weep for two months before being sacrificed in fire by her father (Jud. 11:29-40). And if we accept that the Rabbis maintained the collective memory of the Jews, then The title page engraving from the Mishnah depicting a boy about to be sacrificed by fire to Molech cannot be ignored..
The dating of the most recent child sacrifice victims, suggests that the ritual of making a burned offering of the firstborn only ended after the Macedonians, who were horrified by the practice, conquered the region under Alexander the Great. We know that the Macedonians recorded and edited the writings of their conquests, including the Jews (how we got the Septuagint), and it seems likely that they removed or edited most of the related passages and wrote in the prohibitions on offering children as burnt offerings as well as banning the eerily similar smelling consumption of pork despite an abundance of pigs, into the Jewish scriptures we have today, none of the extant fragments of which date before about 200 BCE.
