For the Kakhovka Dam, it is most important to monitor the water head differential between the upstream (‘reservoir side’) of the dam and the downstream (‘outflow side’) of the dam.
If the ‘controlled releases’ (from the spillway gates, emergency gates, and reservoir outflow canals) can draw down the water elevation on the upstream side to where it equalizes to (or nearly to) that on the downstream side, then this will be a non-factor.
The questions are:
Are the dam operators aggressively drawing down the dam?
How long will it take to draw down the reservoir?

I don’t have any concrete amount of US aid but seems that the average aid packages have been running anywhere between $200 – 500 million per week. How long have they been running?
Maybe sometimes since April – May. That would give you 6-7 months a.k.a 24-28 weeks. Putting you at $4.8 – $5.6 billion on low end and $12 – 14 billion on the high end. Then you have all the money Nato dumped between 2014-2022. Then you have pretty much all of the ex Warsaw Pact equipment (they had a massive arsenal of fighters and soviet battle tanks, mainly T-72, T-64) and artillery shells.
This is only US aid, then you have all the aid from the EUzombie vassals, including prementioned Warsaw Pact but even more than that.
Just a guess. Anyway, Russia is fighting them all single handedly and their commander said they won’t attempt to make any quick advances anywhere, which will only play into Nato strategy of utilizing drugged up fanatics. Most of the casualties for Russia came early in the war from quick advances without covering rear supply lines or areas and running quickly into ambushes. Now they brought some serious engineering equipment to start building actual fortifications, which is needed for the long haul.

I would also add that since Warsaw pact heavy equipment is nearly depleted, Nato will actually have to start sending their own tanks and fighter jets if they want to continue supporting. That means you can quickly go 5-10x from previous aid numbers.

The talk about Ukrainian nuke false flag seems to persist. My guess if Ukraine detonates their dirty bomb in Nikolaev, Kiev will be razed to the ground, as will Lvov, to what extent its possible.
If FUKUS interferes, then Ramstein and Fairford air bases, then escalation ladder after that a.k.a “c ya”.

I noted before that I wondered in Lettuce Liz had been involved in the bombing of the Kerch Bridge AGAINST the advice of the USA. This perhaps was the real reason she was removed in such a hurry.
The trip to Washington of Ben Wallace certainly indicates something is up. Now he, as Defence minister presumably was aware of the UK involvement in the bridge, so now I am left wondering whether he went to the US to be scolded or to get new orders.
It is of course possible that whichever UK service blew up the bridge actually answered directly to the Lettuce and Benny was out of the loop. Where is John Le Carre when you need him?

Yesterday, on a Russian TV show, the panel discussed the nuclear false flag scenario as several here and elsewhere have been discussing for some time.
However, on that show they said a nuclear weapon is already in Mykolaiv.
If this is accurate, our fears about an imminent nuclear false flag could soon be upon us.

Didn’t you understand what kind of leverage this means for the EU or AGAINST THEM?
.
So far, Erdogan has had refugees and the Bosphorus as leverage !!!
.
In the future, the EU can beg when it comes to gas and competitiveness!
Wait and see….how long Turkey’s opponents in the EU will hold out!!!
Germany will quickly hang the flag in the “GAS-WIND! (bet)

Ergo: Another brilliant move by Putin…. Erdogan to transfer the energy for Europe

And to announce himself literally: Russia gas only via Erdogan in the west ❗

Obama in his third term is pushing for some kind of “battlefield victory” that he can trumpet ahead of the midterms.
His and Soros’ problem is that lies do not win wars. US Army couldn’t beat determined goat herders with flintlocks despite 20 years of trying, hard to see how they “win” in Ukraine.
But these days the “winning” is in the warmaking itself, nobody wants territory or people, just cash flows from taxpayer to arms death merchants. Mission Accomplished

In all the LeCarre novels, MI-6 operatives were sucking up to the Americans, desperate to be kept in the loop. It is also doubtful that the US would share anything other than disinformation with a cabinet minister who previously fell for a Russian prank call.
The most likely reason for the visit is to advise him of the US preference for the next leadership (spokesperson) position.

MILITARY SITUATION IN KHERSON ON OCTOBER 20: UKRAINIAN OFFENSIVE KEEPS BLOODY STALLING
On 19 and 20 October, during defensive battles in the Kherson direction, Russian units inflicted a heavy defeat on the AFU.
A large amount of military equipment was destroyed and, according to various sources, from 130 to 220 AFU servicemen. Russian units seized numerous trophies.
The Russian Defense Ministry reports that AFU units attempted to break the defense of Russian forces in the direction of Novaya Kamenka – Chervony Yar in the Kherson Region, engaging up to three battalions, including one tank battalion, in a narrow segment of the front. The enemy managed to cut into the defenses of Russian units near the village of Sukhanovo in Kherson Region. The Russian command’s engagement of tank reserves and ambushes led to a significant defeat for the enemy, as a result of which the Ukrainian units fled in disarray. The position along the front line of the defense has been fully restored.
In the fighting in this direction more than two hundred Ukrainian servicemen, 14 tanks, 16 armored fighting vehicles and 7 vehicles were destroyed during the day. Two tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle and a UR-77 demining machine were captured as trophies. Eighteen Ukrainian servicemen surrendered.
A Russian unit captured seven more servicemen in the Beryslav direction, Kherson region. Among them were two officers, one company commander of the 28th Brigade Combat Team, the other commander of a tank company of the 4th Brigade.
Kiev has pulled large forces to this section of the front – the 128th Mountain Brigade, 17th Tank Brigade, 60th Infantry Brigade and 28th Mechanized Brigade, as well as mobile groups of the 140th Regiment of the Ukrainian SSF. They have tens of thousands of soldiers and hundreds of armored vehicles from NATO countries at their disposal.
On the Russian side, they are opposed by units of the Russian Airborne Troops, including the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade, as well as the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade and other units of the Russian Armed Forces.
The fighting in the Kherson region has every chance of becoming the bloodiest since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

Do people not get that once Russia withdraws from Kherson City, their operations will be confined to the east of the Dnieper river?
the long-range artillerly situation makes new Dnieper river crossings impossible. They need what they already have in Kherson plus more to have a buffer to keep U.S. artillery away from their bridges and barges.
Theoretically, they could invade down from Belarus, but GOOD LUCK.
The next few weeks are crucial for the Russian campaign. Not so much Ukraine. But if Russia gets pushed back from territory they formally annexed, then they’ll have a mounting credibility problem.

Nato himars operators have bombed purely civilian convoy evacuating from Kherson. Not only that, the shells were filled with tungsten balls.
12 rockets hit civilian crossing in Kherson, deaths are reported.
A missile strike from an American HIMARS rocket system was launched by Ukrainian armed formations on the evening of 20 October against a civilian crossing in Kherson.
According to TASS, Russian air defence systems shot down 11 of the 12 Ukrainian munitions. The strikes were aimed at the Dnieper crossing where civilians were being evacuated to the left bank. One rocket exploded near the Antonivskyi bridge.
LNR Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said in his Telegram channel that three people were killed, including children. Another ten people were seriously injured. Twelve civilian vehicles were burned. The consequences of the shelling are being specified.
At 23:00, Ukrainian formations attacked from the American HIMARS MLRS with M30A1 cluster munitions with tungsten balls. The blow was deliberately delivered on the right bank and the pontoon ferry located under it, which is used to transport civilians. There was not a single serviceman at the crossing – only civilians. There are children among the dead. #Russia #Ukraine #Kherson @rybar

A Ukrainian Center in NYC has displayed a large poster, “Rissian War Crimes,” just across from the Metropolitan Museum. — The poster is actually a reminder of Julian Assange’s imprisonment for his reporting on the massive war crimes committed by the US/NATO during the Wars for Oil and Israel in the Middle East.
New York Jews prefer to believe that “there are no Nazis in Ukraine because Zelensky is Jewish.” It has no sense to reason with them because, in this case, facts have an “antisemitic bias.”
For instance, Zelensky proclaimed Stepan Bandera a “Hero.” There is a huge monument to Bandera in Lvov, Ukraine. The Banderites and Zionists have united their efforts in Ukraine against Russia. Amazing.

The Georgian Legion, a US-backed Ukrainian fighting group that stands accused of gruesome battlefield atrocities. Several former members of the Legion have produced first-hand testimony documenting its perpetration of war crimes, including the torture and execution of POWs and civilians.
The Georgian Legion is led by Mamuka Mamulashvili, a Georgian-born veteran of several conflicts against Russia who swore to execute Russian POWs, an act which constitutes a war crime under the Geneva Convention. “We will not take Russian soldiers as prisoners.” Mamulashvili is a key suspect in the massacre by snipers of 49 protesters in Maidan square in 2014. At the same time, he has been awarded the National Hero of Ukraine recognition, the highest national title in the country. He was junketing to Capitol Hill for meetings with lawmakers with seats on foreign affairs committees in the House and Senate. …
The Georgian Legion has hosted notorious US foreign fighters, among them Craig Lang and Paul Gray. Lang was a member of the group before he returned to the United States, where he is wanted for robbing and murdering a married couple to finance his return trip to Ukraine. The Federal Bureau of Investigations has obtained video showing Lang participating in war crimes in eastern Ukraine, including “beating and drowning a girl after a fellow fighter injected her with adrenaline so that she would not lose consciousness as she was drowned.” …
A website Saint Javelin’s partnership with Zelensky’s United24 aims to help raise funds to build an “army of drones.” It also channels money to the Ukrainian World Congress, an organization which has defended the legacy of World War Two-era Nazi collaborator and mass murderer Stepan Bandera, branding him “the undisputed symbol of Ukraine’s lengthy and tragic struggle for independence.”

Not against the Ukrainian civilian population.
Gilbert Doctorow, Oct 15:
“The attack on the electricity grid in Ukraine is not directed against civilians per se; it is intended to halt rail deliveries of advanced weapons systems and munitions coming into Ukraine at the Polish border and being moved by train to the fronts in the east and south of the country. Without these inputs, the Ukrainian army will be kaput and the war can come to an early conclusion with the capitulation of Kiev.”

If RU losses Kherson City, then it constrained the entire scope of the SMO to east of the Dnieper, unless they re-invade from Belarus. Good luck with that.
This is a crucial moment for Russia and Putin. U.S. election will also be important.

To all those that keep harping on the “loss of Russian credibility” should this or that tactical event happen: first, read some history to understand strategy and how Russia overcame far greater menaces, second, does NATO have the tiniest bit of credibility left on the world stage? Can you even imagine Dutch or Belgian or Italian etc troops going to war, a real war that is? Have you even seen them, on parade eg? Western European soldiers have as much spine as a mollusc and as much hemoglobin as a veggie burger. But Russia keeps it credibility, even if it has to pay for that in blood.

The Poles don’t make sense – or are they planning to pivot?
I can understand why Poland might hate Russia, because of their long history of being under the Russian yoke – not just under Communism, but also under the Tsars. However, right now Poland has a pretty nominal border with Russia, in the form of Kaliningrad.
On the hand, I can also understand why Poland might hate Ukraine. During the Second World War some of the worst atrocities against Poles were committed by Ukrainians, whether they were Banderites or in Nazi uniforms. The Volhynia and East Galicia massacres, by Banderites, killed up to 100,000 Poles. Further, a chunk of Poland was seized by the Soviet Union, much of which ended up in Ukraine’s hands.
While all this is going on, Poland has been fighting for its independence, whether against Tsarist Russia, the Soviet Union, or Nazi Germany. Yet the moment it gets real independence, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it starts negotiating to join the European Union. Then it joins. Decisions made in Warsaw, reflecting Polish values, are undermined by bureaucrats in Russia – as they were undermined in former eras by bureaucrats in Moscow, Berlin and Vienna.
We are then seeing another contradiction in Poland – it wants to be independent, yet it hangs onto the coat-tails of great powers. So it was not for nothing that Churchill compared to Poland to a hyena. Indeed it is an interesting fact that Poland invaded Czechoslovakia twice – in 1938 and 1968. Once on the coat-tails of Nazi Germany, once on the coat-tails of the Soviet Union. But now, Poland is hanging on the coat-tails of the US and NATO, trying to get at Russia. But for what reason?
Maybe the Poles can’t accept that they have got a lot of similaries with Russia? Both countries are culturally conservative, and in many quarters find the wokeness of the West repulsive. And right now Russia, unlike the EU, represents no threat to Polish independence. And it is sometimes forgotten that some of the most important Russians were actually Polish. Konstantin Rokossovsky, arguably the best Soviet general in World War Two, was Polish. And so was Felix Dzerzhinsky, who via his leadership of the Cheka, laid the foundations of the NKVD, KGB and FSB. He even went to school with Józef Piłsudski.
At this stage, Poland needs to consider its own best interests. There will come a stage when it may recognize that support for Ukraine is not in its best national interests, and perhaps even that the EU and Germany are not friends. And with the collapse and depopulation of Ukraine, there is a golden opportunity for Poland to recover its lost territories, and to becomae a major European power.

Israel Has Refused to Supply Arms to Ukraine
Israeli Defence Minister Benni Gantz has announced his refusal to supply arms to Ukraine. He said this at a briefing for EU ambassadors.
“Israel has supported and is supporting Ukraine, NATO and the West – this is what we have said before and are repeating today. Israel has a policy of supporting Ukraine through humanitarian aid and the delivery of rescue defence equipment,” he said.
What else do we know about the situation?
According to media reports, after it became public that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba decided to ask the government of the Middle Eastern country for an air defence system, Israel decided to reject planned talks between Benni Gantz and his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksiy Reznikov.
Israeli media reported that this was the fifth postponement of the call between Reznikov and Gantz. Previously, a similar communication took place in April.

I posted a report earlier about the revving up of the Outlaw US Empire’s Kidnapping Machine aimed at capturing Russian citizens. Maria Zakharova spoke about that today:

We consider the detentions in Italy and Germany of Russian citizens at the request of the US Ministry of Justice for their subsequent extradition to the United States as a continuation of the large-scale campaign launched by Washington to capture Russians to whom there are “claims”, for their subsequent guaranteed conviction by the American punitive justice for long terms of imprisonment.
The cynicism of this situation is that we are talking about taking hostages for their further use for political purposes. Charges are once again being brought extraterritorially in connection with alleged violations of us national sanctions legislation. As part of Washington’s actual involvement in the situation in Ukraine as a party to the conflict, there is another attempt to stage a show massacre to intimidate business circles in Russia and abroad.
It is clear that the hunt for Russian citizens through American law enforcement and special services will only expand. Such hostile actions, of course, will not go unanswered.
The Russian Foreign Ministry again calls on everyone who has even the slightest reason to suspect the presence of “interest” in themselves on the part of the United States to refrain from foreign trips to any countries unfriendly to Russia, as well as states with which Washington has bilateral extradition agreements.

This is very serious shit being engaged in by the Empire. These are not merely provocations but an escalation in the Hybrid War. Regardless if you like Putin or support the SMO, if you’re Russian and living outside Russia you risk being snagged. Now you know why Biden’s crew told all its nationals to leave Russia.

I have a rule of thumb of sorts:
no one talked and talked about blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines, and it happened
no one talked and talked about an imminent attack/sabotage of the Crimean bridge, and it happened
‘everyone’ talking and talking about some dirty nuke exploding in Mykolaiv; so it won’t happen

Yes I tend to agree with that idea. Once something is talked about it does not happen. Of course there are several explanations- often they are all partly true. Once it is announced by one side that the other plans to do xyz, then it is not especially likely that it will happen as the negatives outweigh the positives. On the other hand sometimes deliberate false information is relayed to distract from the main event. This could well be the case with the pipeline, but less so with the bridge since it has been under attack for a long time.

Are you sure bout that???
?
The Ukrainian | Polish and neoCons had wet dreams about destroying putler’s poxy bridge from the moment it was blueprints.
At first they avowed it couldn’t be built.
Then they said it was so shoddily built, with corruption cutting into the specifications, it would simply fall into the sea.
And then… it became a long lust…. To see it destroyed.
Even now, western media says the bridge is “destroyed”, whereas it was damaged, immediately (temporarily) repaired, and will be fully repaired in due course.
That said.
Given the Russians knew how badly the NATO conglomerate wanted the bridge down, and given NS1+2 sabotage….why wasn’t security tighter?
………There was tighter security gaining access to a spring food festival in my neighbouring town last weekend

The ex diplomat’s post could be written by any number of ex US diplomats too. Once upon a time I was offered a job in the US foreign service and refused it because I couldn’t be a part of US foreign policy. Clearly many people think differently than I do, just like many people in Russia’s foreign service think differently than the author. I said no just before the 03 invasion of Iraq.
It’s an interesting human interest piece but meaningless because it’s based on the idea that nation’s do things out of ideals. The author is an idiot. He talks about vague ideals as his reason for being in a foreign service. (Note his ideals are very western) That’s not how any of this works. But outlets like foreign affairs pretend that it is.
And because he’s an idiot who believes when he’s in a position to know better, he conveniently leaves out that the trajectory of Russian foreign policy he liked was cut off by actions of the west. Which was not acting out of ideals but out of getting, keeping and exercising power. He probably believes the state department operates on ideals. Again, because he’s clearly an idiot.

He’s stuck right now and unless the Democrats pull off an election theft which would make the one in which ballot chicanery obviated a Trump victory; the goose is cooked.

Re: false flag nuke
I poster above, sorry no time to look, commented that if they are talking about it, they won’t do it.
I have another theory.
In the fog of war here, Russia may be doing what is best for its people by safely evacuating,m, yielding territory. Perhaps they are right now with Kherson, perhaps they are not and they are really digging in this time.
However, the lag in communicating the actual reality on the ground there is creating an opportunity to reinstill the notion that Russia is getting hammered back.
However, if you were going to use a false flag as an attempt to galvanize the population into a war again the dastardly Putler, wouldn’t you need above all else the narrative that we, the Ukrainians and the west were winning “fair and square” before Russia crossed the line and went nuke?
You would need that narrative.
Economy is garbage. No one wants a hot war with Russia. But they would if Russia “nuked the Ukes.”
Just a thought.

@69,
If the Ukrainians do a false flag dirty nuclear attack, they would want Donbas to suffer, not their own Lvov or Kiev. But then everyone would know Russia did not do it.

Some items:
1. An excellent daily Marxist siterep on Ukraine and British politics: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/red-star-radio/id1516544636
2. Russian Security Council has convened a committee to direct domestic economy for war needs. This means very big things on the horizon.
3. Berlusconi’s private address confirms that Russia initially sought a small operation to be completed within 2-3 months leading to a negotiated settlement with Kiev, as has been reported in several other venues. But then US – UK forced Zelensky to double down, leading to a period of Russian adjustment (as Mercouris has speculated). Now Russia is preparing an offensive that quite possibly will lead to the destruction of the Ukrainian state.

@ Republic of Scotland @ 71
How far can you see from a reconnaissance aircraft at operating altitude? Quite a long distance in every direction. And the report specified that the alleged missile release was ‘beyond visual range’. Ergo, the aircraft that allegedly fired it must have been beyond visual range as well, since a fighter aircraft is a lot bigger than a missile. So the shot, if it occurred, was not really ‘across the bow’ of the British aircraft.
I doubt the Russians will take Wallace’s squalling very seriously. If they did, and promised to scrupulously avoid any weapons firing while a British aircraft was in the area, the UK would be flying the Rivet Joints around the clock – a handy way to hobble the Russian Air Force from participating in the conflict.

Interesting points.
There may be some merit to the “if they are talking about it they won’t do it” perspective. However, there was a good deal of talk about hitting the Kerch Strait Bridge.
Mykolaiv would be a likely target for a false flag nuclear attack. It is the HQ for the current offensive against Kherson, perfect for Russia Did It propaganda. Prevailing winds would likely blow the radiation SE…that works for NATO.
Mykolaiv and the rest of Southern Ukraine has some Pro-Russian tendencies, unlike Nazi central Kiev and Lviv.
It would explain why the deepstate trolls are pushing the “Russia is desperate” meme so hard when a loss of Kherson isn’t the end of the world for Russia…but not taking Kherson is the end of the world for Ukraine.
Is NATO stupid enough to do it knowing it would likely lead to full-scale nuclear war within 24 hours? Maybe.
I think it is a serious threat. I have been in contact with friends and family telling them in the event of a nuclear detonation in Ukraine…Get Out of Major Cities Immediately!!! Once the ICBM’s start flying cities over 150,000 will be inescapable.

What? They are total lemmings. They are duped into thinking they are still fighting Stalin, but are actually shilling for yet another Jewish War.
————
They talk about the Holodomor, etc. Their leaders sold them out for government paychecks and a pension.
The Democrats, and the social democrat parties in Europe, don’t care if some peasants in Ukraine are nationalists – they don’t matter, except as dupes to use against the Russians.
Russia matters:
-Russia supports pro-Palestinian Syria and Iran. The Israeli Lobby targets Russia for this, and “the Lobby always gets what it wants” as Pat Buchanan and others retired from Washington have noted. (If it had been Kiev that supported Syria and Iran, and Russia that went along with whatever Israel wants, then Biden would be arming Russia.)
-Putin defeated the oligarchs, who the bribed Yeltsin allowed to buy and cut up industries on the cheap. The oligarchs, many with dual Israeli citizenship, would have handed over Russia to the globalists.
-Putin has condemned mass immigration in the West. The Left’s way to hold on to power and destroy the Western peoples their media masters hate so much. Someone who names and opposes mass immigration can’t be forgiven.
-Russia bans homosexual propaganda to children in the schools, which in the West is used to weaken men so they don’t resist mass immigration. Remember, folks: “Ultimately this war is about LGBTQ rights!”

Hans von der Burchard
https://twitter.com/vonderburchard/status/1582991739702296577
What happened yesterday between Berlin and Paris is truly concerning, not just for Franco-German partnership but the entire EU.
Following growing tensions and the inability to agree on energy & defense, France and Germany postponed a long-planned summit.
Macron cancelled Scholz
The official reason given by Paris and Berlin are “difficulties on the agenda of some ministers.”
It’s a wild excuse, although partly true (at least five German ministers, including FM Baerbock, had complained that the summit date next Wednesday clashes with their holidays)
Although I have sympathies with ministers like Baerbock or Faeser, who want to go on holidays with their children who just happen to have a school break next week, that can’t be the reason to cancel such a summit amid war & energy crisis (and it also isn’t the real reason).
Of course you could interrupt your holidays for a day, or take your kids with you. In my opinion it’s a badly chosen excuse to hide problematic divergences with France on energy, and the embarrassment that Paris just had enough of it and requested a postponement.
Real reasons for the postponement:
— Big divergences on energy (France wants gas price cap & electricity cap like Spain, both proposals that Germany rejects). Berlin and Paris are also at odds over the MidCat pipeline.
— And of course, but less serious, defense cooperation.
Yet when the EU’s two biggest political and economic powers can’t agree and have to postpone such a long-planned summit, the entire EU has a problem.
The clash comes just ahead of a crucial EU leaders’ summit in Brussels today & Friday.
Here’s more on the pipeline tensions between Germany and France:
What also plays into this is the big frustration in Paris over Germany’s go-it-alone approach to pouring up to €200 billion into its economy to deal with the energy crisis.
France complains it wasn’t even given a heads-up before the big German announcement.

@158 tenet
Yes, to me it doesn’t seem like Russia is acting in the interest of Soviet revanchism. Rather more like making sure its historic people and land are not threatened by terrorism. Russia probably would have (and could still be?) been a boon for the western Ukrainians, too.
But the fear and resentment for the Soviets is a tangible force in the psyche of the western Ukrainian. Forced centralization by the Soviets did lead to massive starvation among the agrarian peasants who refused where they could during the communists’ hostile takeover.
And so these feelings were stoked brilliantly by who else but Jewish neocons who once again are trying to whip up slavs to fight slavs.
If nothing else, the western Ukrainians have certainly not proved their intelligence or ability to grasp their own perilous position under the thumb of the west.

The US government thinks that it can use nuclear weapons in Europe and get away with murder.
Now is not the time for peroxides or Boojey Parties on rooftops, billionaire financial snake charmers or French surnames.
Now is the time for a military man who is capable of understanding and engaging with the reality of a very angry Pooh Tin Bear pointing a large , loaded weapon at us.
I find myself strangely reassured by, Walkace because by the time Liz Truss had consulted with her advisors about the meaning of a gun being pointed at her, and what to do or say, the Bear would have fired. We need a military minded man to tell the Angry Bear that we surrender to the need to negotiate.
I very much doubt that Liz Truss would have been able to connect to reality in the milliseconds required to give the right answer. It’s time for the Forward Youth that Would Appear to Now Forsake his Muses Dear, and talk with Russia about Russian interests. European interests. And Fuck the US as Nuland once declared.

🇫🇷🇩🇪France and Germany are on the verge of a quarrel
The leaders of the key European Union countries continue slowy but surely quarel. However, there are fewer and fewer common, unifying topics.
And the main anti-Russian energy map is gradually being lost.
Germany and France want to play it completely differently.
Thus, Olaf Scholz said that he intends to allocate €200 billion for the implementation of the domestic energy assistance program. And Emmanuel Macron was outraged by this.
The first one(Scholz) is trying to somehow save the country’s economy by reducing the cost of gas, oil and electricity for consumers. He needs it elementary in order to retain power.
And the second(Macron) is furious, because he understands that the “yellow vests” are about to require similar measures. We’ll have to look for money somewhere. In addition, such a policy increases demand, which means that fuel will continue to rise in price. Finally, there is a shortage in Europe. Especially in France, where there are problems with gasoline. And now Germany will become a more attractive consumer for suppliers. The situation will only get worse.
There is another important detail that is not directly related to the relations between Berlin and Paris. This is another precedent. The most serious political and economic decision, capable of affecting the entire EU, was made by one of its member countries,Germany independently. And Germany didn’t consult anyone. So why can’t others? For example, Hungary. What kind of sanctions can there be against it now, if we do not act according to the rules of double standards?
As for Emmanuel Macron, his current position is gradually becoming clear. To support the unity of the EU, because for all the failures within the country, it will be possible to justify to the population precisely that other members are not having unity in some issues and hence the problems

How many tightly repulsed idiots who sympathize with the Ukronazis need more proof that we are fighting against Satanists, for whom there is nothing sacred in life and never was?!
You look at these boys! The Nazis use them as their agents. The eldest just turned 18, and the youngest – 15. This sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) was identified and detained by employees of the 96th operational regiment of the SKO VNG of the Russian Federation under the leadership of Magomed “Lightning” Tushaev.
All five say that they transmitted data of our positions to the Ukrainian side in the Zaporozhye sector by means of photo and video recording. They were recruited by the Nazis under the threat of death. As a result, on their tip, the positions of the allied forces were previously fired upon. Only miraculously, none of the soldiers were injured.
These youths realize their guilt and ask for forgiveness. But the punishment must be paid. By the way, Magomed Tushaev warns everyone who wants to repeat the path of saboteurs: his unit has over 130 settlements under control, think carefully before operating in the territories of the 96th operational regiment. And he’s right. Believe me, if it blows somewhere, then you will not hide from the “Lightning”. And then the conversation will be different.
Therefore, Magomed Tushaev urges parents to monitor their children, to strengthen control over them. We do not want to take tough measures and fight with teenagers, but if they cannot be followed in their own family, our fighters will have to re-educate them.

Military expert Boris Rozhin on Washington’s declaration of Iran as a participant in hostilities in Ukraine specifically for Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel:
The declaration of Iran as a country taking part in the war in Ukraine is of course a reflection of US double standards, as in effect the US is accusing Iran of supplying weapons to Russia and Russia is using it. Moreover, the accusations are made by a country that openly supplies weapons to Ukraine, and these weapons are used for strikes on Russian territory, among other things. We are not even considering the very fact that the United States military and special services are involved in combat operations in Ukraine. The Americans claim that they are not a party to the conflict, are not involved, and do not want to be involved in combat operations in Ukraine.
This is a distortion of the logic of current international relations, when a hegemon insists that it can decide how to interpret certain rules, and all those who are not satisfied with this order of things are declared enemies of freedom and democracy, who can be subjected to arbitrary sanctions and other restrictions, up to and including hostile actions aimed at overthrowing such an unruly regime and its stigmatization as an enemy of the free world.
There is nothing fundamentally new here, Iran is still treated as an enemy of democracy, and the current hysteria about Iranian drones is precise because the drones used on the front are of course of Iranian origin (whether Iran supplied or licensed them is immaterial). What is important is the fact that these drones have proven to be very effective and have stumped Ukrainian air defenses. Hence the cries about the need to saturate Ukraine’s air defenses and supply additional SAMs and anti-drone systems.
It is therefore no coincidence that Ayatollah Khamenei, who commented on these accusations, said that one should be proud of the achievements of Iranian missile and drone builders, who bring glory to their country. Indeed, after the triumphant performance of the Herrani-2 in Ukraine, Iran has received a large number of requests to buy its drones from various countries. This is the best proof of the success of our cooperation.
There are already a lot of different sanctions imposed on Iran, new sanctions will not change anything fundamentally, it only distances the signing of the nuclear deal, which would be more beneficial for the US but not for us. Because signing this deal would lead to a lot of oil being dumped on the market, which would reduce its purpose, which would be more favorable to the US but not to us.
Consequently, the escalation in Iran-US relations plays to Russia’s advantage, but not to that of the US, which is desperately trying to bring down the price of oil by selling off its strategic reserves. In this regard, the current vector of U.S.-Iranian relations is quite convenient for Russia. I see no strong reason to worry about such accusations. And Iran has long shown I that it is capable of adequately and asymmetrically meeting any threats.

❗️ A military expert has outlined the tasks of the Russian Armed Forces for the near future
First, the Russian army needs to repel an offensive in the Kherson direction, military expert Vasyl Dandykin has told the Idi I Vspil TV channel.
Earlier, Kirill Stremousov said the plans to liberate Mykolayiv, Odessa, and Dnipropetrovsk shortly.
“This is a matter for the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Defence Minister, the Chief of the General Staff, and the specific commander of the entire grouping – Army General Surovikin… The situation is not easy, it is difficult. Of course, this opinion should be taken into account – he is close there as well. But now we should talk about the reflection of the enemy offensive in the Kherson direction and the threat to take it away from the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia, where they keep trying to land troops. And then we will see,” Dandykin said.
It is also necessary to push back the AFU from Russia’s borders – Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk Region, the expert believes.
“With all due respect to Kirill, I think now we should think about how to buy out all these threats, to wear down the enemy with active defense, to inflict irreparable losses, and then we will see. I hope and believe that the tasks will be. What will they be (next. – Ed.)? It is likely to be the ones that Stremousov talked about,” summed up Dandykin.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the situation at the front line of defense near Sukhanov in the Kherson region had been fully restored.

https://twitter.com/Sander_2021/status/1576019492408217600?cxt=HHwWgMCqwZrYkt8rAAAA
US Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft was the only military aircraft spotted above the Nord Stream pipelines at the times of detonations. This kind of aircraft is armed with torpedoes itself and sonobuoys to communicate with submarines.
> It used a masked identity [NA]@@@@@@@@ and a rolling Hex-code to change its specific identity on its way. The type and origin was traceable:
> It carries Mark 54 Lightweight torpedoes with an operational range of 10,000 yd (9.1 km) and a blast yield of 238 lb (108 kg) TNT.
> It also carries ATAC/DLC Air transportable communication and down-link communication (DLC) buoys, which are intended for use as a means of communication between an aircraft and a submarine.
> So it could have been used in a solo mission to destroy the pipelines by itself by its own guided torpedoes or it was supporting a submarine mission by providing air reconnaissance and communications.

How long can ‘israel’ continue it’s balancing act between the US and Russia?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff held a virtual meeting Thursday morning with leaders of Jewish organizations and prominent Russian-speaking Israelis, asking them to push Jerusalem to provide Kyiv with air defense systems.
Andriy Yermak, whose father is Jewish, pointed at Russia’s expanding use of Iranian drones to argue that Israel can no longer remain on the sidelines of the eight-month-long war.
“I think no one has any doubts that we are dealing with a terrorist state,” said Yermak, according to Zelensky’s office. “Russia is a terrorist state that today uses Iran in its fight against the US and its allies, including Israel. Russia is the European Hezbollah.”

Here that, folks?
“Russia is the European Hezbollah.”
If they had their way, Russia would be the European Palestine.

Another example of the civilization war stink to all of this posturing…..74 years of Occupied Palestine and no adult discussion of the situation.
Hopefully, the RoW will win this civilization war and the barbarism associated with the patriarchy/monotheism of the West evidenced in the past couple thousand years will stop, or at least cede unipolar control without nuclear/bio-chemical extinction.

Iran is a dangerous terrorist state, and Russia’s relations with it endanger the whole world.”

Now we understand the purpose of the Geran/Shahid drone circus:
Break any cooperation between Iran and Russia, get Russia to choose which side it’s on, as perverse as the idea is.

The reason for the drone circus is that I think the West/Israel is shocked at just how advanced/efficient/effective Iranian military technology is.
I think that is also why Israel does not want to supply Ukraine with air defense. Doesn’t want a hole to be punch in the hype of the “Iron Dome”.
Also, there’s a good chance Hezbollah has this drone tech too.
Israel must be freaking out

INTERCEPT: SAUDIS SOUGHT OIL PRODUCTION CUT SO DEEP IT SURPRISED EVEN RUSSIA
https://theintercept.com/2022/10/20/saudi-oil-production-cut/
//Saudi Arabia, a putative ally, pushed for even deeper cuts than what Russia, a U.S. adversary, even believed they could get away with, the sources said. “People in D.C. think MBS is siding with Putin, but I think MBS is even more Putinian than Putin,” one of the sources, a Saudi close to the royal family, said, referring to Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.//
EVERYTHING IS MORE COMPLEX THAN YOU SHOULD LIKE
//MBS’s rule has seen this power wielded in an acutely partisan way. MBS complied with Donald Trump’s oil production requests in two election years: once in 2018, by increasing oil production to bring down prices, and again in 2020 by lowering production, which Trump wanted to protect the domestic American shale industry battered by low demand brought on by the pandemic downturn.
“MBS enjoyed a sweetheart relationship with Trump,” Riedel said. “Trump stood by MBS when he murdered Khashoggi and his war in Yemen which has starved tens of thousands of children; there was never any criticism of the Saudi’s human rights abuses from the Trump administration.”//
* * *
I’ve never noticed the Intercept nakedly toe any line, but like any influential media organization they’re savvy to the power of their pulpit and today it’s live by the sword of speech or perish by it…
I subscribe to documentarian Adam Curtis’ doctrine that since Reagan / Thatcher western politicians have contrived to make themselves seem relevant as Finance ate the world. This was capped by Bill Clinton and it’s been charades ever since. As can be seen in Truss, even top politicians are utterly disposable today if the banks don’t want them. My guess is Truss prolly wilted because she didn’t ask for enough for rich people… But I really don’t know. Nothing makes any sense any more

🇷🇺🇺🇦 At 8 am, Russian missile troops attacked the territory of the Kommunar plant in Kharkov.

According to our tip, shop 12 was struck, where the components of the Neptune anti-ship systems were assembled. Inside the workshop there were 18 missiles, which were planned to be sent to the Motor Sich plant in Zaporozhye to be equipped with a warhead.
The western wing of the workshop was completely destroyed by two rocket strikes: only the walls remained, the interior was demolished.

China is set to be one of the largest (if not the largest) LNG Ship Builders in the world:

The latest contract is the third bulk order recently won by shipyards owned by CSSC-strong proof that Chinese shipbuilders have greatly strengthened their global competitiveness in building LNG carriers, experts said.
Building LNG tankers is considered a very complicated undertaking due to high requirements in technology, construction difficulties and added value. Before 2022, only four shipyards in the world were capable of building large-scale LNG carriers, namely Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding of China and three South Korean shipbuilders-Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding.
As two more Chinese shipbuilders have entered the sector, the market landscape will be changed as well, industry insiders said.
On March 30, Shanghai-based Jiangnan Shipyard, a unit of the world’s largest shipbuilder CSSC, signed a contract with Adnoc Logistics & Services, the shipping arm of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co, for two 175,000-cubic-meter LNG carriers.

China State Shipbuilding lands big LNG tanker order from Qatar Energy
One can only wonder at the genius of the EU leadership as they cut off their biggest gas supplier to become dependent on world’s biggest LNG ship builder.
If I were Putin I’d reserve the next decades worth of LNG ships coming out of CSSC shipyards.

@45 Don Bacon quotes this from the BBC: “Under its definition of war crimes the UN includes: ‘The transfer, directly or indirectly, by the occupying power of parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies, or the deportation or transfer of all or parts of the population of the occupied territory’ ”
That claim by the BBC is incorrect.
The revelant article of International law is Article 49 of Geneva Convention IV
It states this:
“Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.”
Note that the prohibition is on the FORCIBLE transfer of protected persons from occupied territory.
F.O.R.C.I.B.L.E.
Russia is not FORCING anyone from the Kherson region to go anywhere.
It is offering them relocation away from that area, and the civilians in Kherson are free to make their own decision as to wether they take the Russian authorities up on that offer.

@97 LightYearsFromHome I would imagine that the answer is this: the idea that the Ukrainians could float naval mines down the river to attack the dam was considered to be illogical and impractical, and so was rejected by the Russians.
But the Russians just recently received intel that the British had delivered underwater drones to attack the dam, and that was considered to be a very practical means of attacking the dam.
Very likely the plan is to release those floating mines as “plausible deniability” while the British operators send the drones up against the dam to destroy it.
What I don’t understand is why the Russians haven’t deployed antisubmarine nets across the face of the dams. Those would stop both mines and drones from getting close enough to the dam to do any damage. Maybe they have, and they are playing rope-a-dope with the British.
