Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Three Good Pieces On The War In Ukraine

I am busy with renovation work but here are three good pieces about the war in Ukraine:

> Plainly put, the Europeans have been nicely played by the Americans. India should take note of the US’ sense of entitlement. Basically, the Biden administration created a contrived energy crisis whose real aim is war profiteering.

India should expect the defeat of the US and NATO, which completes the transition to a multipolar world order. <

> Increasingly, European publics are likely to blame the United States for policies that fuel inflation and bring on economic recession, especially as their currencies weaken against the dollar. The U.S. sanctions on Russia will be seen by many as self-serving attempts to dominate Western Europe.

A new iron curtain is now being imposed on Russia — this time by Western policy — even as the United States announces more measures to confront and “contain” an assertive China. This will result, inevitably, in more cooperation between Russia and China. Also, the increasing use of economic sanctions to achieve political purposes will encounter push-back with a greater volume of international trade conducted in national currencies other than the U.S. dollar.

As Europe is weakened and more countries suffer from U.S. sanctions, coalitions to resist U.S. dominance will flourish. Geopolitical competition will take precedence over action to deal with common problems, even as international conflict intensifies them.

What all the parties to the conflict in Ukraine seem to have forgotten is that the future of mankind will not be determined by where international borders are drawn — these have never been static in history and doubtless will continue to change from time to time. The future of mankind will be determined by whether nations learn to settle their differences peacefully. <

> What makes the "I stand with Ukraine" version of the Twitter mob unique is that it brings together two forces that used to be sworn enemies of one another—the woke Left and the neoconservative Right. It turns out they share many of the same loathsome ideological and personality traits, and have a similar "slash and burn" approach to political engagement. It's a new political marriage.

This shift is disorienting, but on a purely tactical level, it makes a certain amount of sense. Neocons invented the cancellation game before there was even a Twitter board on which to play it. Neocons arrogantly dismiss the other side's point of view as argued in bad faith and not worth considering, and label anyone who dares question the cause as a heretic or traitor.

Warping the debate in this way allows delusional and contradictory thinking to go unchallenged. Thus, we get the argument that Putin is a madman who will kill indiscriminately to achieve his aims—but he is also somehow definitely bluffing about using nuclear weapons. And he's only using that bluff because he's losing the war—but if he's not stopped in Ukraine, he will go on to conquer the rest of Europe. Putin's regime must fall because he has killed or jailed all the liberal reformers and yoked himself to a hardline Far Right, but somehow he will be replaced by a liberal reformer when his regime collapses.

It's nonsensical, and a real debate would expose some of the delusions in this thinking. But we aren't allowed to have one.

As long as this woke-neocon alliance is allowed to set the terms of the debate, we will continue to see a one-way ratchet toward greater and more dangerous escalation of this conflict. <

Comments

🇷🇺 Apparently, the final decision has been made on Ukraine. New maps were drawn, new plans were made. It is a pity that not publicly, but personnel changes were made.
At the same time, the system of command and control of troops has changed and continues to change, and the fighters and commanders in the field have learned a lot and gained experience. In the coming weeks, the Ukrainian army will face unpleasant, deadly surprises, and by the end of next month we will understand the overall plan and its scope.

This suggests a comparison with some of the magnificent examples of Soviet weapons created during the Great Patriotic War. The conditions were even more difficult, and the weapon was necessary, and the designers found very cheap and elegant solutions that gave excellent results. So Iranian engineers did not pursue technological excellence, but made a drone from available components, simple and cheap. And very efficient. And the most interesting thing is that this topic has a continuation. On which - I'm sure - they are already working. Just imagine a swarm of such drones, not a dozen or two, but about a hundred. Such a number is guaranteed to overload any air defense system and will absolutely not care that half of these drones can be shot down, because the other half will still find their targets ... https://t.me/Slavyangrad/15066

US to deliver new air defense systems to Ukraine
Pentagon details air-defense deliveries to Ukraine:
Kiev will receive NASAMS to counter Russian strikes in the near future, a senior official has said

Talk is cheap.
NASAMs has never been used in an active war. They are not US, but Norwegian. Anyway, if they ever arrive in the Ukraine, they’d be taken out by Persian flying bombs. So, let them come, if they can cross the Ukie border.

No, they haven’t. Europe’s leaders – traitors all – are destroying Europe in the interests of the Zionist neocon finance/industrial cabal running the US government. The European people know this of course. We’re still in Act I. Act II is coming, and Act III will end the bs.

Well, I guess since most required fixed structures are already destroyed, they can plow whatever Nasams they get to the front lines. Same phenomenon the Japanese had with WW2 convoy escorts, so many cargo ships sunk more than escorts that late war convoys had a huge ratio of escorts-to-cargo ships.
But being closer to the front makes them much more reachable and vulnerable to variety of different weapons, and they are easier to smoke out even if they only try sitting dormant.

Exactly, that seems to be the way Russia have fought during the war, they have no clue about anything, no tactic and that is why they are not winning anything on the battlefield anymore.
Russia obviously still do not know where west deliver the weapons to Ukraine. The HIMARS for example should have been destroyed as soon as they reach Ukraine but Russia are either unable or incompetent to strike at those targets.

Frankly, apart from MK Bhadrakumar’s piece, the other two entries are typical Western tongue in cheek talking point. Although they stated some valid points, but they are inherently dishonest.
Take this from David Sacks’s piece:
“…Russian leader who, if his unhinged “War against the West” speech last Friday is any indication, has thrown away his steering wheel.”
Unhinged war against West speech indeed! I suppose telling the truth is considered unhinged now in the West. And yet Mr Sacks was ranting against Woke culture. Absolute hypocrisy!
Or take this from Jack F. Matlock Jr. in the Responsible Statescraft” article: “We Americans can only admire the valiant resistance Ukrainians have mounted to the Russian invasion and should be proud that we have been able to support their defense.”
What nonsense! The USA and NATO practically pushed Ukraine into this war and had since blocked every effort to find solution to the conflict. Ukraine are just being pushed willy-nilly into destruction largely by the USA nd the UK for their own selfish profit motive. But such is the level of hypocrisy among the Western opinion writers today that calling a spade a spsde is no more part of conversation.

Putin’s War against the West?
Actually, the war against the west was done by the fools, who run the countries in the so-called west with their voluntary and suicidal sanctions against Russia and Belarus. Price of everything in the so-called west had gone up, especially the energy; electricity, gas and fuel, since the first packet of sanctions. VD Leyen is the new destroyer of the Europe, after all, she is German.

“Humans have an animal component, we are gregariouss. But We are, too, individual, that is, spiritual.” Indeed, and as Eastern religions state we are constantly at war with the innate desire to reconnect with our higher spiritual self and the magnetism of desire that draws us down to our animal nature. We as a species will be in conflict until we do make the right choice, now of course we live in the Age of Iron, a very unspiritual time, there are challenges.
Good articles posted, some common sense still tries to emerge through the wave of ignorance and propaganda. I idolize neither Russia or China, but they at least offer some hope and a slightly better alternative to living under the current trope of parasites in the West.

Ok well I tried to point out earlier that to not see what is going with the Chinese Congress we are missing the main event of the year – it started with the meeting between Putin and Xi at the Olympics and finishes with this great Congress.
It looks as if Karloff has put in some heavy digging on it. I’ll wait for b’s take when he is ready.
In the meantime some highlights :
https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202210/1277280.shtml
‘…the Chinese path of modernization is about common prosperity for all, and it will be realized by the peaceful development, and from this aspect, it is completely different from Western modernization, which resulted from the rise of hegemony and based on plundering and invading other nations, and domestically, was based on uneven development between different classes and racial groups
The fundamental reason why China needs to be prepared for the worst-case scenario and even “dangerous storms” is that Chinese modernization, which is very different from Western modernization, will bring challenges to the hegemony which is now dominating the current world order. This hegemony and its followers do not accept that China will succeed, because that could bring about the end of the system they built to unfairly serve their interests, experts noted.
…as long as China keeps developing itself, and keeps seeking improvement for the livelihood of the Chinese people and puts efforts into offering more public goods, like the Belt and Road Initiative, to other countries which also want win-win cooperation, modernization and peaceful development, the existing hegemony will impose pressures, suppressions and even attacks against it. This has already happened in the past decade, referring to the US-launched trade war and suppression against China’s sci-tech industries, as well as provocations and interference on the Taiwan question, said analysts.
Xi also stressed modernizing China’s national security system and capacity and safeguarding national security and social stability.
“National security is the bedrock of national rejuvenation, and social stability is a prerequisite for building a strong and prosperous China,” Xi said. “The Party will take coordinated steps to ensure external and internal security, homeland and public security, traditional and non-traditional security, as well as its own security and common security.
https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202210/1277276.shtml?id=11
Among the five major characteristics of Chinese modernization summed up by General Secretary Xi, there is one that China has repeatedly stated, and has been proven time and time again, that is, Chinese modernization is the modernization of peaceful development. The bloody and criminal history of some Western countries’ modernization through war, colonization, plunder and other means has brought huge suffering to the world, especially the people of developing countries. The CPC leads the Chinese people to firmly explore a new path to achieve national development and national rejuvenation in a peaceful way, and at the same time better maintain world peace and development through its own development. This is one of the important connotations of the “new model for human civilization.”
Currently, the changes of the world, of the times and of history are unfolding in an unprecedented way. The report delivered by General Secretary Xi has linked the historic mission of the CPC, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with peace and development of the world, which is a vivid manifestation of a community with a shared future for mankind. The report stressed that China adheres to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in pursuing friendship and cooperation with other countries. It is committed to promoting a new type of international relations, deepening and expanding global partnerships based on equality, openness, and cooperation, and broadening the convergence of interests with other countries. The CPC always honors its promises. Standing on the right side of history, on the side of the progress of humanity’s civilization, the new path of Chinese modernization will become wider and wider.
The important message released by this congress is firm and clear, positive and well-intentioned. Anyone who hold pragmatic and rational attitude toward China and the world’s development will gain a sense of direction and positive energy from the report. With the irreversible process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Chinese modernization will increasingly demonstrate its civilizational significance. When we reach the goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects, it is a success worthy to be celebrated by the Chinese people and the people of the world.

The first factory line of the country’s first 10,000-ton large-tow fiber carbon project has rolled out qualified products in the carbon fiber industrial base of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co (SPC).
The products are on par with similar overseas items in functionality, signaling that the country has succeeded in mass producing large-tow carbon fibers after achieving breakthroughs in key technologies, according to the report.
A bundle of more than 48,000 carbon fibers would fall under the large-tow category. Referred to as the “king of new materials” and “black gold,” large-tow carbon fibers are widely used in wind power, solar power, high-speed rail systems, aircraft components and other sectors.
The carbon fibers that rolled off the SPC assembly line consist of a new type of high-strength carbon materials with a carbon content of more than 95 percent.
In a sign of extraordinary mechanical functionality, the carbon fibers sport a specific gravity short of one-fourth of that of steel while featuring strength seven to nine times that of steel. The new products are also corrosion resistant.
There are strict technological barriers to carbon fiber manufacturing. As a consequence, the country’s carbon fiber development has long focused on breakthroughs on small-tow carbon fibers, which nonetheless involve high costs and put a damper on the application of carbon fibers among downstream firms, the report said.
Joining hands with 10-plus universities, scientific and research institutions and businesses, SPC has pushed for more than a decade to make major headway toward producing the 48,000 carbon fiber bundles from the previous 12,000. With that achievement, SPC became the first domestic firm and the fourth globally to have realized large-tow carbon fiber technology.

There are dozens of full Tankers parked in the waters of Europe because it is not a quick and easy task to safely unload the floating atomic scale bombs at the few deep water facilities. God forbid what happens if there is an accident by trying to rush the loading and unloading of these hideous ships! Not just a explosion of an atomic scale that would cease the port and all its surroundings but the greater ecological disaster.
So the rats will be fleeing now to the East and EurAsia especially the wormtongues who wished its demise , the lines of the global oligarchy , the ancient Arab slavers, the hedge funders- but the SCO is waiting for them with open but firm arms …
The only thing left to do is for the pathetic UN general assembly to vote to disband itself and move to a less toxic place. It lets itself be bullied into voting the way of the 5+1 eyes against the whole of the rest of human and geographic majority .
The only thing the Collective Waste seems to be able to do is to order the band to play on!

I am not optimistic for my home country in Europe and Europe in general. Majority (like everyone?) think Putin is a criminal and he started the war unjustified. Majority took the jab (> 60%). Minority went on the street against the jab and minority will go on the street against the war and to open the tap again. I moved to another non EU country and I know one person, who thinks people here have gone crazy and he can’t talk to anybody with senses anymore. In Germany I see young people proudly reading the intellectual newspaper in the train with all the lies and think how smart and critical they are. People have been brainwashed and they are too lazy to spend 5 minutes reading on history, thinking, fact checking. And if you ask some questions, they don’t want to know about it, because then they had to stand up themselves. The irony is that the country had an education for 80 years that this exactly shouldn’t happen again. But it is. The two opposition parties (AFD, Linke) just went against the few people who wanted to keep an open mind towards Russia (Wagenknecht and the parlamentariers who wanted to travel to Donbass to investigate the situation on the ground by themselves).

The next five years will see the country climb up the value chain to center stage and embark on a firm trajectory to dethrone the US as the world’s No.1 economy at around 2030.Its economic volume is forecast to be twice large as that of the US by 2050, with per capita GDP, at least, rising explosively to only second to that of the US.

I might be alive to see this dethroning of the US happen. It’d be a nice happening to watch, before leaving this planet Earth.

Remember that the neo-Nazi parties only received around 1% in the Ukrainian elections. Yet somehow the unelected neo-Nazis and neo-Nulands were brought in to run the government. As Putin knows, the Ukrainian people are not stupid, they never voted for these neo-Nazis. And let’s face it, in the next election, Zelensky’s party will be wiped out completely. The present Ukrainian government has banned all of the opposition parties and opposition newspapers, except for the ones owned by Soros or Kolomoisky. So, unless NATO nukes the ballot boxes, the question for Putin and Bambi (sorry, I meant Biden) the question for Putin and Biden is, in the future who the heck will run Ukraine? that is if there is one.

Thank you for this reporting – apathy is universal, yet nonetheless you state there are dissident voices/organisations; do they have no press, no websites, no physical reunions/meetings- no possibility of organising more widespread support ?
In westie – The laziness of education and the inbreeeding of ir- responsibility have been a long time coming – yet the use of basic reason has not been eradicated from all aspects and employment in regular life (simple physical processess still obey observable rules of function) and is available to be applied to any non conformist sources of information/need for action
All the US Embassies, those large bloated sugarpuffs, on prime streets in well known districts, not hard to find – they are sitting around all over Europe ripe for the taking
Practice on the basic procedures, first – but the basic skills come from any/everywhere and are intuitive to anyone under/around the age of consent (time in prison is a crash course but not essential) – watch videos of the Mali and Burkina Faso crowds
– a longer course in active dissent will take some determined organisation and application, but little enough given the corrupt weakness of the target, on show in the Ukraine and coming to a theatre near you

It is the logical outcome of years of emphasis on branding and image. You read the Guardian? You then count as being superior. Thinking does not enter into it.
We talk to people here in our own little corner of Europe who don’t even know that there are Ukrainians who are fighting alongside Russians.
Their media brands don’t mention them. They don’t exist.
A bit like Afghanistan. A month before the collapse all we knew was that we had an Afghan army on our side that was a million strong and driving the Taliban back. Then it was gone.

China is moving ahead across multiple technological sectors, led by education. They can bring “Manhattan Project” intensity to solve challenges.
Global Times reports:
China’s first photonic chip production line to be ready in 2023: media report

China’s first production line for “multi-material and cross-size” photonic chips, or integrated optical circuits, will be completed in Beijing in 2023, a development that’s expected to fill a gap in the nation’s top-level manufacturing, the Beijing Daily reported on Tuesday.
Compared with electronic chips, photonic chips offer higher speeds and lower power consumption. The calculation speed and transmission rate are 1,000 times those of electronic chips, according to the newspaper.
If all goes as planned with the facility, it will show that the preliminary experimental research and development process is in place, with production technology that leads the world, analysts said.

Photonics is a huge deal. More significant the EUV.

Russia have obviously already lost, they must import drones from Iran nowadays. Where are their missiles? Robots? planes? Already lost?
West will of course win this arms race, western world not only have more advanced weapons, Ukraine also have an infinite supply since there is a free flow of import of weapons to Ukraine from the west.
If Russia were competent, they would strike these batches as soon as they arrive in Ukraine, but obviously the russians have no idea where west deliver these weapons.

In a Tweet posted on his personal account on Sunday, Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Nachman Shai, called on “Israel” to arm Ukraine, as NATO and US are doing.
However, despite attempting to portray this “unique” proposal as new, the Israeli Minister failed to mention “Israel’s” already established direct and indirect involvement in supporting Kiev against Russia.
Earlier in October, a senior Israeli official told The New York Times that the Israeli occupation was providing Ukraine with intelligence about Iranian drones allegedly used by the Russian forces, revealing that a private Israeli firm was supplying Kiev with satellite imagery of the positions of the Russian troops.
On the other hand, back in September, according to a Ukrainian media report, an Israeli arms manufacturing company decided to supply Kiev with air defense systems to counter Iranian-manufactured drones, which was claimed by the US that Russia has obtained.
During the same period, Israeli media reported that Israeli security industry companies had supplied the Ukrainian army with anti-drone systems, capable of intercepting and jamming the action of combat drones.
Israeli media said earlier in September that an Israeli arms manufacturer is supplying the anti-UAV systems to Ukraine via Poland citing a source in the arms firm. The firm reportedly informed the Israeli Ministry of Security that it was selling arms to Poland, though it pretended not to know the latter was then giving the weapons to Kiev to use against Russia.
There are also evidences of direct participation of Israeli soldiers.Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed in April that “Israeli” mercenaries are fighting alongside extremist nationalists in Ukraine.
However, after seeing the results of Shahed’s(shaheed-136) strikes there are serious questions against the effectiveness and quality of the Israeli anti-drone systems.

It is bizarre. Russia must have satellite technology and huge numbers of spies on the ground, and yet these weapons get a free pass.
Supposedly, they travel by electric trains once in the country, so they are making some headway by taking some of that out.

@241;
Russia has about 100 military / dual use satellites operational, however of a number an order of magnitude less than NATO.
They only have a few high-res photo reconnaissance satellites.
Because of their orbits they are only able to observe small areas during each pass.
Thus the Russians are in fact nearly blind compared to NATO; this has been acknowledged by Russian analysts since the start of the conflict.
That means the Ukrainians are given real time information on when to hide or disperse their forces from satellites; while Russian forces are observed permanently.
Amongst other things, it means the Russian strategy of “Maskirovska” is no longer very effective.
This is an enormous advantage for NATO. Unfortunately. Putin allocated resources to strategic arms first – like nuclear forces – while the Army and Air Force were not prepared for such a large conflict.

Recovering amazingly since the rip-off oligarch days under Yeltsin, V.V.Putin and his able associates have managed to weld together a multi-ethnic nation which appeared to be on the verge of its death agonies. With no evidence to back me up, I’d offer that the suicidal drugs, booze and sleeze on the part of many utterly demoralized Russians, most particularly in major urban centers has been largely overcome.
In historical terms, this renaissance of Russian spirit is little short of miraculous. From a bewildered behemoth Russia has girded itself up and has restored measures of pride and purpose to the Narod, the Russian people. “The Empire of Lies” is an absolute classic. As little as I appreciate polarization amongst nations, Putin and his people came to the understanding that their struggle is existential, much like their “Great Patriotic War” between 1941 and ’45.
Meanwhile, here in the U$$A there are yawning chasms amongst the people in general and a significant minority totally disgusted with the government, corporations, educational institutions, the medical industry…in other words, virtually every major institution in the land. The levels of corruption, even within the court system and its various law n’ order tentacles are almost beyond comprehension.
Were I a betting man, I’d put some serious money on the land where cultural and economic survival has become a bi-word as well as a template message to the heavy majority of humans.

NASAMS are decent systems and use the AIM-120, a very good missile that can use datalink. However the Ukrainians can’t fly an AWACS, so no datalink, but the unit’s radar can get the missile close enough for its active radar to home in on the target. The missile is also thrust vectored. Each NASAMS unit has 6 missiles. The US has supplied (2) units, and will supply 6 more about the time Ukraine has collapsed and surrendered.
They need about 100 of them, and a huge store of extra missiles. NASAMS change nothing because there aren’t enough. They might take out a few cruise missile until the Russians find the search radar and destroy it.

Iran drone tech. When Trump wanted to nuke Iran there was a meeting in Jerusalem – Trump presidential envoy, Russia presidential envoy, and an Israeli. At the presser afterwards, the Russian presidential envoy felt the need to say Iran was an ally of Russia. Some months before Putin had stated a nuclear attack on an ally no matter how small would be considered a nuclear attack on Russia. Trump did not have dementure and got the message.
Iran repaying the favor. Drone tech, an area Russia perhaps neglected a bit but Iran is a world leader in. Years ago, Iran started landing American drones to check the competition. Merica merica, bags of Nuland cookies and full of piss and wind.

Ok, let me give you a lesson in reading comprehension. You can thank me later:

Large Indian banks are avoiding direct transactions

(Note the stuff in bold)
So they use indirect transactions.

… in rupees with Russia due to fear of being targeted by Western sanctions, Reuters reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

But not in Yuan or Roubles.

This comes less than a month after the State Bank of India had agreed to put in place a simplified rupee settlement mechanism aimed at boosting mutual trade.

So, like I said earlier, but which your dry-drunk addled brain missed, State banks are transacting with Russia and have put in place mechanisms for long term trade.

An Indian diplomat told the outlet that Russian banks had requested that India’s eight largest lenders organize settlement in the local currency, but had not received any response.

So there was no denial or rejection, which means response is still forthcoming. Stay posted. Indian banks are known for slow bureaucracy.

Sources at lending institutions told the news agency that their management was not considering using this mechanism, at least not yet.

So they’ll get around to it eventually.

Currently, only two small lenders, Yes Bank and UCO Bank, which have agreements with Russia’s PSCB and Gazprombank, are using the rupee payment mechanism.

In sum,the article says the opposite of what you claim.
The article states very clearly that mechanisms are being put in place to allow rupee trade. Your claim is essentially that all trade is being terminated.
Then there’s the raft of evidence that India is bypassing the sanctions in a dozen or more ways:
From your favourite news agency:
1. https://www.reuters.com/world/india/exclusive-indian-companies-swapping-dollar-asian-currencies-buy-russian-coal-2022-08-10/
“NEW DELHI, Aug 10 (Reuters) – Indian companies are using Asian currencies more often to pay for Russian coal imports, according to customs documents and industry sources, avoiding the U.S. dollar and cutting the risk of breaching Western sanctions against Moscow.”
2. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/commodities/dollar-yuan-india-buys-russia-coal-asian-currencies-hkd-dirham-2022-8
“In July, Russia exported 2.06 million metric tons of coal to India — over 20% more on-month — making it the South Asian nation’s third-largest supplier of the fossil fuel, per Reuters. Indian coal buyers have used the Chinese yuan, the Hong Kong dollar, the euro, and the United Arab Emirates dirham for such purchases in recent weeks, according to the news agency.”
3. https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Markets/Currencies/Russian-companies-shift-to-yuan-as-flight-from-dollar-accelerates
“According to Russian media, more than 20 Russian financial institutions were connected to the Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) as of mid-July. CIPS was introduced by the People’s Bank of China, the country’s central bank, in 2015 with the aim of internationalizing the yuan. It can be used for cross-border yuan-denominated payments.”
4. https://www.asiafinancial.com/indias-hdfc-bank-aided-yuan-trade-in-russian-coal
“According to an invoice dated June 5, HDFC Bank backed cement maker UltraTech‘s purchase of Russian coal from producer and trader SUEK for 172.7 million yuan ($25.74 million).
The letter of credit for the deal was issued by HDFC Bank’s Andheri East branch in suburban Mumbai, according to the invoice. The dollar is the currency of choice for global trade in raw materials, but some traders say the yuan trade could be increasingly used to settle payments for supplies from Russia.”
5. https://qz.com/indian-corporates-are-paying-in-yuan-and-dirham-for-rus-1849399188
“Indian companies are tiptoeing around Western sanctions against Russia by buying its coal using currencies other than the US dollar.
In June, some 30% of the payments by Indian entities for the commodity were in the Chinese yuan and 28% in Hong Kong dollar, Reuters reported.
The euro accounted for under a quarter and the UAE dirham around a sixth.”
You’re pretty dimwitted. Not sure why anybody on this forum wastes their time with you.

So many people so detached from reality. No understanding that we are in WWIII and the great changes occurring. Hopefully I can hang around long enough to see the inevitable total destruction of the US anglo empire. I don’t like hypocrisy.

Arch Bungle
The whole idea with the new system was to make direct transactions, that is the whole point that they do not have to fear sanctions, they have their own system, that system is not working, that is the point of the article in Reuters/RT.
There is no such thing a “indirect” transaction lol, because there is no contact at all between the parties:

An Indian diplomat told the outlet that Russian banks had requested that India’s eight largest lenders organize settlement in the local currency, but had not received any response.

Friggin querulant!

LPR/DPR sources reporting 40 to 60% rebadged nato forces on some areas of the front lines. We are running out of ukroids and running out of ammo. Desperate times. We must destroy Russia for anglo democracy, the gay flag, and all forms of propaganda goodness. Not to forget the washington based rules based order.
Putin telling the Euro twits if they needed firewoods, that is in Siberia. Has to be the comment of the decade.

Agree in terms that if someone thinks that is “being scared of trading with Russia”, I have a nice beach front to sell him on Mars.

I would say rather to organize irrationality, a politicization of irrationality.

Plently of evidence that nations are indeed “scared” of trading with Russia:
Turkish State Banks Set to Exit Russia’s Mir on US Warning

Turkish state banks are planning to exit a Russian payment system, a dramatic example of how US secondary sanctions are forcing countries to distance themselves from Moscow.
The three lenders, the only ones in Turkey still processing transactions made with Russia’s Mir cards, decided on Tuesday to pull out,

Sure small nations or even average nations will be scared to trade with Russia. But big nations like India, China, Brazil, Pakistan, Indonesia, Saudi, Iran will not. They will keep trading with Russia and a weakened West will not be able to do a damn thing about it.
This is the crux of the transition to a multipolar world. Its happening. Its not a questiin of if. But when.

Afrikaan-American… big difference 😉

No, he’s not Afrikaan(s)
Whites in South Africa are a mixed bag. Afrikaaners refers to a very specific subset of white South Africans of which he is not one.

We encounter Ukr apologists who emphasize Star Link and NATO satellites. Yet, a video such as that homes in on serious communication failures and poor command.
As for India and Russia, various goods are flowing and payment is somehow being made. China used to set up small banks for sanctions by the US, as with paying Iran. At some point, I believe the US will simply find it impossible to trace payment flows, if that isn’t true already – and all the more so with crypto. I understand Tether is much improved with its asset base and Russians have been using it.

I read yesterday that Imran Khan is making a political comeback in trying to reverse the coup in Pakistan. I think that would be huge. the empire is leaning on a lot of countries, but I think it is way overextended.

Russia started hitting Ukraine infrastructure since October 10 and earlier today Zelensky admitted that 30% of Ukraine’s power stations nationwide have been destroyed. And the strikes are still ongoing today. Imagine if this goes on for another week what level of devastations are we going to see.
I hope the Russia-hasn’t-done-anything trolls can shed some lights on this.

Like there is a win in destroying civilian infrastructure with no military offensive being lauched at the same time?
Electricity in various areas are already being fixed. So what did Russia win? Obviously nothing.
Come back when Russia bomb Zelensky when they target the SBU leadership. Then, one could argue Russia is doing something but that will of course not happen because Russia seems too incompetent or fearful of doing so.
More likely Putin is going to be killed off before Zelensky is killed if the war is going to go this bad for another year.

A 30 percent power cut is huge. One must consider that the bulk of power cuts affect population centers. And that the figure is closer to 50 percent.
Of course, there must be continuous current draw in places to keep the nuke stations operational.
An obvious flaw with nuke power.

“Why are the eastern elites sending their children to American schools”? You ask rhetorically. It’s quite simple, stoopid. It’s because elites are birds of a feather, they flock together against all of us who are not of their ilk.
You have posted some inane offerings, but this one is well positioned to run the field.
