Biden speach.
I could not resist thinking that this was a direct notification of upcoming purges.
I did not think that way before but now I dont think the midterms are going to happen. They will not allow their project to be threatened by an election.

The attacker is a Brazilian, Fernando André Sabag Montiel “Salim”.
He has a very large nazi black sun tattoo on his arm and he’s proudly showing that on instagram.

@erichwwk #4
Robert Barnes talked at length about the RAID ™ yesterday on the Duran.
Basically:
1) The warrants were not served on Trump the private person or ex-President; they were served on the Office of Trump. This was to ensure that there could be no blowback because serving on Trump the private person or ex-President conveys a number of rights, but serving on an organization does not.
2) The warrant also searched for “documents marked classified” as opposed to actual classified documents. This is ironic because if Trump does not have the right to unilaterally declassify (i.e. there is a process) – the same holds true that something stamped classifed is not actually considered national security until again, a specific process is followed.
There was a lot more, but net net: Robert Barnes sees this entire thing as a fishing expedition that isn’t going to yield anything, except perhaps reclaiming some of the potentially incriminating material which would uncover Deep State machinations re: Russiagate.
So no, there isn’t going to be any kind of arrest in Barnes’ view.

So what is your point? I grew up in a fairly integrated part of Houston in the 70’s and 80’s and had many Mexican-American friends and nothing bad ever happened to me. I moved to whitebread Colorado and made a white friend who made a racist comment about Mexicans because the only two Mexicans he had met took his money. We had a good talk (at the age of 14) about stereotypes and reality.
Malcolm X wrote about how every experience in his life with whites had been negative, thus easily helping to shape his view (and Elijah Muhammed’s) that all whites were devils. It took the Hajj to make him realize that it wasn’t the color white itself that was the problem.
So, what are you trying to say?

A well-researched video on how “We the People” of “USA USA” got to where we are now. I wish they had included the corruption of the media as well. Yet they cover some interesting historical notes.

I volunteer regularly regarding this issue. I have found that money in politics and corporate “personhood” resonate with people whose other political beliefs are all over the map. Unfortunately it is hard to get people to demand politicians who actually support the 2-part amendment that is needed. Not that I think this would solve every problem. If we only had a free press too….

My car recently was returned to me after servicing, and the mechanics must have turned off the air conditioning. So I was obliged to consult the owner’s manual for the first time in years. Boy, is that manual badly organized. You’d think they’d have an entry for “air conditioning” in the index, but no such luck. I ended up having to page through almost the whole manual before I finally found the information I needed.

As expected, Nord Stream 1 stopped for long, maybe forever. EU economic suicide goes as planned. I wonder how much would USA manage to benefit from devouring EU.
My American penmate about 5 years ago was planning to move to Germany if s-t hits the fan in USA. Back then Germany looked like safe heaven comparing to USA split by pro-Trump and anti-Trump derangement syndromes.

Okay, what’s the EU plan now that they’ve killed the delivery of all Russian hydrocarbons? Every Global South nation will eagerly purchase what the EU denies itself, so Russia won’t be hurt whatsoever. Europeans will soon be asking: “Why stay here? My loyalty is to my nation, not EU. Let us end this insanity and leave the EU.” Indeed, are there any benefits for nations remaining within the EU? This is a serious question I don’t see having a positive answer.

Mine was made in China. It’s a bit smaller about 12 inches across but makes very similar sounds. The Grandchildren love it. It costs about £60.

Curiously, in Canada, there are ongoing efforts, orchestrated through the media, to take down national institutions such as Hockey Canada and Arcade Fire. The posturing politicians have no MAGA to point fingers at after jailing and pauperizing the truck protestors.

So, do you believe the timing to be just happenstance? The reason I ask is as follows:
*it is now clear that the IAEA inspection was engineered by the Russians. That is what is dominating German and French state propaganda tonight. Absolutely no anti-Russian coverage on this issue is evident. Clearly there is missing nuclear material and it has panicked Europe.
*there is some coverage on the Gazprom cut-off, but it is being treated as a distraction. There is residual anti-Russian propaganda evident, but much less than one would expect.
*the G-7 oil cap issue is a storm in a cup: it offers nothing new and lacks internal European support.
I understand the Russian manipulations, but this feels subsequently different somehow. Perhaps due to the surrounding events of the past 48 hours. In any event, the Germans seem to have just returned electricity prices to their previous levels. Is this just another countermove by the Russians or something more?

“Exactly. Our family was discussing this 6 months ago just before the SMO started but the question is: where to go? No easy answers especially for a young couple with a family.”
About 25 years ago, when I had a young family, I seriously considered moving to Christchurch in New Zealand.
It seemed to have everything I and my family could possible want, and was still doable.
Then there was a massive Earthquake in Christchurch New Zealand…and then, the Kiwis (who I always liked – sort of family connection and much nicer accent than the Aussies)

The main reason, we didn’t go to New Zealand, was family and friend connections, but it could be a good idea now, as the world has gone completely mad. both my wife and I have got new passports.

I just dropped by to see how you were stewing…
“get much” what?… typical non-statement I “get” people like you all too well.
“political ambitions”? Like trying to help a party and some upstart NDPers that I REALLY don’t like, but which are probably that last best anti-WEF hope in Canada, to oust a batch of dictatorial slimeballs sooner rather than later?
The NDP isn’t doing its “job”, which is to be the OPPOSITION to anti-working class dictatorial slimeballs. Bernier, the Greens and even the Bloc may have better policies, but UNLESS THEY WORK TOGETHER WITH THE POLIEVRE CONS AND GET THE TRUDY/FREELAND/SINGH CABAL GONE, THEY ARE AS POWERLESS AS THE REST OF US.
Hold your nose for a good reason, vote strategically, pick a winner, even if at the election after the next, we have to turf them too.
Or the world can all just sit around and twiddle collective thumbs…
You don’t like the Cons but what other party has even a ghost of a chance of dislodging the Cabal?
We’re waiting.

Democracy is dead in Canada.
The death was exemplified by ALL parties avoiding anything to do with CoVid1984 during the 2021 Fed Election.
Canadians think that democracy is an EDIFACE, rather than a process… and tune out as soon as alternatives are suggested!
But, in reality, the response is a mirror to their maturity: they need the authority to tell them what is OK to express.
The big reason behind the ignorant anti-trucker bigotry.

The Harper government’s strong pro-Zionist stance was due to the influence of several prominent fundraisers/bagmen, like Murray Frum, who got his daughter appointed as a Senator. A lifetime pension for zero achievement.
In Canada, the Jewish domestic political fundraising is split between the Conservatives and Liberals. Hence the leftish NDP can afford to take a stand against the current occupiers of Palestine with little consequence in terms of votes or money.

Since this is the general open thread, there’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask.
Can anyone tell me why the term WEF appears to be used exclusively by Canadians? I mean, the institution is international, as is its reach. And yet, I only hear it mentioned by Canadians.
Or perhaps it isn’t the acronym for what I think it is?

Posted by: robin | Sep 2 2022 19:41 utc | 125

Seems the UN human rights body finally released its report on Xinjiang, just minutes before its boss Bachelet abandoned her job. From what I heard the content of the report basically contradicts Bachelet’s own observations when she was in Xinjiang earlier this year. She didn’t notice anything wrong there, but the report seems to be a copy and paste collection of Western accusations regarding the Uyghurs.
What a disgrace…

WEF = World Economic Forum
Canadian politicians in key leadership positions are either on the Board of the WEF or listed as participants by Herr Schwab. Many policy decisions appear to be in lockstep with the stated Agendas of the WEF.
Some of are nostalgic for the days in the late ’50s and ’60s when Canada had an independent foreign and domestic policy.

They all got passports too. My son’s wife – who is a typical never-leave Saarland Saarlanderin – finally was open to leaving after all the covid stuff and then when the SMO started that was just confirmation. She wanted Canada or US like many Germans. But my son and I explained that they were just as bad at this point. So if Europe and the US-NATO axis countries were out (with possible exception of Japan and South Korea) what else? Mexico is dirty and sometimes dangerous, no place for clean, white middle class German kids (!). Latin America ditto. Asia is very foreign plus if there’s a war for a while, maybe not safe until it’s all over.
So they decided to stay put and work on being prepared and cultivating good social relations. They have excellent friends and family networks already but to my son’s distress on canvassing most of them around Christmas last year he found that every single one was just fine with the new dictatorial Germany. Indeed it was that survey that prompted him to push for departure. Hopefully he is making progress on that front. I will see him in a few weeks in London, my old stomping ground, a trip I truly dread making into Heathrow Airport which apparently is a 24/7 dysfunctional mess (no doubt part of the controlled collapse of the West we are going through).
If there were no conflict I think Russia would be by far the best choice (would love to check out Crimea and Odessa), but there it is. If not, the Azores might be best until RF opens up, but for now they are staying in D-land. It is the most beautiful place I’ve seen and a bit of a secret I shouldn’t mention! But you need European citizenship to move year-round since they are part of Portugal.

I always loved Abba, but I particularly liked Abba, when my wife (heavy rock) and I took our young teenage kids, on holiday – Greek Islands, Spanish Islands, Amsterdam, and many other places ( we took our first child to a festival, when he was 3 months old)
We were all innocent then.
Lets try and get this innocence back for our Grandchildren, before we all killed by The Lunatics currently in control of Western Governments

Jon M @122–
Hard for me to say about the ZNPP issue as I was away from all credible news sources for the past 5 days and am trying to catch up. Those running the Ukies have tried for a month to create some crisis involving the ZNPP but have finally failed. Yes, Russia wanted IAEA inspectors since West was lying about the situation as usual. I’ve strongly agreed with Hudson’s analysis ever since he published it and I discussed it here back in February. I have additional analysis published at my VK site. Beginning with the voided EU Constitution referenda, I’ve been against that organization since it seeks to control European nations not to advance their peoples’s wellbeings, same for NATO. What’s occurring now merely reinforces that analysis. The Russophobic depth initially surprised me; but when I examined it, its origins and perpetuation by MI6/CIA and their Nazi roots explain a great deal.
Russia suffered the fate of wanting to be part of the In-Group, and finally completely turned to the East when Putin resumed the presidency in 2013. Dialog with the West was kept until the West proved it was unworthy of being talked to further. Currently, IMO Alastair Crooke’s analysis is the best amongst English speakers, but other sources provide insights too, like this item by Ehret, “China’s BRI Shapes a Multipolar Future for Saudi Arabia”, which indirectly shows the utter idiocy of the G-7’s oil price cap attempt.
IMO, Putin and Russia seek justice not revenge and they’re close to attaining it. The West’s Pleonexia is a very harmful disease that must be admitted to in order to become cured, but none of the former Plundering Nations are close to confessing. Three generations from now I expect relations to be improved but rather different. Europe risks becoming Diesen’s neglected Eurasian peninsula with the Baltic trio likely to suffer the most next to whatever remains of Ukraine. They can have a decent future if they’re honest about their past–and that goes for the whole of Europe. But that process has yet to begin.

Right now there is basically nobody for anti-zionists to vote for in Canada. Rank-and-file members of the NDP and the Green Party tend to be sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, but the string-pullers of those parties unfortunately seem to be in the pocket of the lobby. Kudos to Singh for finally taking a moral stance on this issue.

It would seem the object of both China and Russia’s actions are to ensure the EEF/Rothschild/Blackrock-class do not end up in charge of their countries and their “friendly” international partners.
Is China misusing draconian lockdowns and social credit systems? If the “news” can be believed even a bit, probably. But that doesn’t mean they are in league with the WEF. Is Russia a far different culture to US/ZATO, and unwilling to tolerate their illegal incursions and sanctions any longer? Absolutely, but it is up to the US/ZATO crowd to make peace within their own borders, not blame Russia and China for the problems the Rothschild/Blackrock-class created.

It is definitely a civilisation struggle and time indeed to lay the blame with the thieves – Rothschild/Blackrock-class – not the next victims in their sights.

The Atlantic is something to experience, especially in a storm on a Sailing Boat
I grew up in a house of love in Oldham. I was the youngest. My Mum gave up her job to be a full time child minder, when I was born. Our home was always full of children.
I met my girlfriend, now my wife, and we moved to London
We road tested each other for 5 years in London, not knowing anyone at first.
My Wife gave up her job to be a full time child minder, when our second child was born. Our home was always full of children.
Still is.
Nothing much changes.
My New Girlfriend was terrified walking up the Garden path to meet my Mum.
I just knew what was going to happen the moment they met each other.
My Mum had the same reaction as me.
They got on so well, that my new girlfriend asked my Mum to come on holiday with us on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. She said yes.
They both almost instantly fell in love with each other.
That is Family.
I think the same thing happens most of the time, across the entire world.
Its normal. Nothing special
The current brainwashing and resulting genocide is not normal.

NATO no match for American inner cities?
Three Dutch Commandos who were on ‘Urban Warfare Training’ in the States were shot last weekend. … Apparently, they went out to a bar and got into a scuffle with some locals, not realizing that they play for keeps. … The results? 1 KIA and 2 WIA.
The shooter has been apprehended and is expected to face charges in November.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/02/us/shamar-duncan-charges-indianapolis-soldier-shooting/index.html
Of course we can assume these Dutch Commandos were preparing for deployment to Ukraine to take on Russian Forces. … But, the inner city American kids put a stop to that. … They deal in real urban warfare.

yes, it is a shame he is not running and that he lost to annamie paul who decimated the greens.. i live in one of a few ridings that was green in the previous federal election – paul manly was the green rep for where i live… as a consequence of annamie paul – paul manly lost in a close race to the ndp candidate.. maybe he will reconsider in the next election.. i don’t know.. he was beaten down by elizabeth may, as i understand it… she was the king, or queen maker for annamie paul… she ought to live to regret that, and is apparently considering sharing the leadership with someone else…. i have met her.. i know paul who also plays bass guitar is a lovely man.. green folks when politically correct getting annamie paul as green leader… what a huge mistake.. i hope those who elected her reflect on it all.. thus, i am probably going to vote maxine bernier as an alternative… his part got something like 7% federally last election.. he was also 2nd place runner up in the conservative to andrew scheer… so both lascaris and bernier share that 2nd place position in common.. things have to change in canuck politics… voting cons or liberals is not the way for it to happen..

(never personally become aware of any of them) whilst not on the same level though possibly bowing before – the likes of David Cameron (probably not gay), Tony Blair (miranda) – and most of the rest…Did Henry Kissinger have any children??
I tried to find out
“Kissinger married Ann Fleischer on February 6, 1949. They had two children, Elizabeth and David, and divorced in 1964. On March 30, 1974, he married Nancy Maginnes.[228][229] They now live in Kent, Connecticut, and in New York City. Kissinger’s son David Kissinger served as an executive with NBC Universal Television Studio before becoming head of Conaco, Conan O’Brien’s production company, in 2005.[230] In February 1982, at the age of 58, Henry Kissinger underwent coronary bypass surgery.
Kissinger described Diplomacy as his favorite game in a 1973 interview
Not convinced henry has any children, but probably male, and possibly never had any interest in sex, but probably not gay either.
Some people are like that. They prefer football to sex.
Maybe Kissinger realised, it was not a good idea, if he did not personally reproduce Kissingers, though it was a great name, he acquired from his home town
“There are 7 mineral springs in Bad Kissingen, all of which are still used today.”
“The surname Kissinger was adopted in 1817 by his great-great-grandfather Meyer Löb, after the Bavarian spa town of Bad Kissingen”
What’s he on? He is even older than our Queen, who I much prefer even if she is Church of England.

Why did most of these East European and Russian people, change their surnames, when they moved to Germany?
What were they ashamed of?
Why isn’t Henry Kissinger called Meyer Henry Löb,
My family name comes from North Western France…Fishermen and Sailors
We may have been Huguenots – protesting, and so left France around 1600, and sailed away, before they killed us..and as the wind blows, we ended up in Staithes (North Yorkshire)…
We never bothered changing our French name (which is still fairly rare in England)
Its just that we had a boatload of Fresh Fish
Est-ce que vous, les Anglais, voulez du poisson frais?
The oldest gravestone, I found with our French name on was dated 1601
Our son has inherited the family sailing tradition, and his sailing boat was made in France.
It’s Beautiful, though occasionally scares the shit out of me, and our family – grandkids shoved down below in the cabin..when we hit the storm..

September 3, 2022 HKT
According to the Associated Press, nearly 200,000 people have been without tap water for five days in Jackson, the capital of Mississippi. Due to outdated water supply facilities, damage to large main pumps, and flooding.
Locals say relief is urgently needed due to the unbearable heat. No access to tap water, no bath or toilet water. “It’s too bad to have no water”;
“Children can’t go to school right now because there’s no water to cook or washroom,” said Debbie Upchurch, a local church volunteer. “Sometimes it’s their only meal, which is the breakfast they eat at school. or lunch”.

Sad he had a stroke a few years ago and lost his sense of pitch. Great career, lots of precious stuff from back in the ECM/CTI days.
First caught Burton @ ’68 Monterey Jazz Festival, on outdoor stage with Red Norvo, Cal Tjader, Milt Jackson, Bobby Hutcherson and him.
Five vibraphones lined up across the stage. That was it. They just riffed off each other round and round for 20-25 minutes.
GB was just starting to bring in the 4-mallet technique. He kinda blew the room away, as Paul Simon might put it.
Guess the same kind of set up would work with steel drums, eh?
btw, have you started your Vanc. Island Party yet? Sounds like it’s due.
(Then you could call your call your combo the VIPs. I kinda like that. Yeah, James and the VIPs!
Or VIPers. How about St. James and the VIPers? Or steal a bit from Doug Sahm – Sir James and the VIPers.:-)
Good vibes to you Sir.

You are confused.
It is true, Spain and Portugal conquered Caribbean and South American indigenes from the beginning or the 16th century. But by the 17th century British merchant marines were already licensed by Portugal and Spain to supply African slaves to the “New World”. In the 17th century 30-years War NL, FR, UK navies battled ES for “West Indian” plantations from Barbados to Guiana.
[MAP] South America, c. 1800, c. 1830
Here is a [MAP] of Latin American wars of independence in the 19th century, 300 years after Cortés.
From 1600-1700 the British, Dutch, Portuguese, and French East India Companies also skirmished with the along coastal India to secure trading concessions from the Mughal emperors.
Britain succeeded over all until 1947. History of British India, a business model.
From 1600-1900 the British, Dutch, Portuguese, and French conquered indigenes of Africa. Dutch East India Company on the way to the Pacific (1652); Royal African Company (1660) monopoly formed for triangle trade. Here is a [MAP] of colonization by (L) 1914, (R) post-WWII independence by year. As you can see, Britain and France had the most to lose.
From 1600-1900 the Spanish, Portuguese, French, British, and Dutch East India companies battled each other for control of “Far East” Asia commodities and forced labor. Here is a [MAP] of “overseas territories” by 1914. Sadly, I cannot refer you to a timeline of post-WWII independence from western civilization in that region.
A summary of burdens borne by persons of the European persuasion that still animates the ignorance on display in this thread can be read here.

A protest leader in Sri Lanka was recently confronted about ties to US-funded organizations. Not only did they deny any such funding, but upon seeing evidence otherwise, began making excuses for it in a familiar pattern demonstrated by US-funded agitators around the globe.
Watch as we peel away another layer in regards to US meddling around the world and in regards to the protests and unrest in Sri Lanka in particular.

Funny because Gorbachev himself thought The Chernobyl disaster ended the USSR – the enormous economic costs blew apart the Soviet economy……….Belarus is still paying for thyroid cancer victims – Ukraine spends 7% GDP on consequences – Belarus estimates total costs of $235 billion…………..

Interesting comment. I remember like it was yesterday the morning of March 1, 1986. The Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme had just been murdered by a ‘lone gunman’ that was never found. Palme was very critical of the US and it is pretty much a given his murder was a CIA plot. That was the day when democracy in Scandinavia was killed and a powerful voice was silenced.
Less than 2 months later, April 26, 1986 the Chernobyl disaster happened. Was it really an independent accident that happened to end the USSR? It makes you wonder. Now they seem to want to repeat history by causing another ‘accident’ in another nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

For what it’s worth from a mostly lurker with little to add, I do.
Two of my step kids are autistic, larger family because we met mid life with attachments and very little money or assets. It’s a great position to be in when you reside in the land of Johnson and friends.
I’ve learned a hell of a lot in the few years I’ve lurked here. Not only b’s insightful observations (anyone know what his favourite drink is btw?) but the comments beneath too.
I’m attacking the biggest problem of my life in the style of Putin and his government. Break it down. Looked at the big picture? Take a break and relax. I do, because it terrifies me.
But by breaking it down, a plan is coming together. It’s gonna be tough, and to be frank, it’s 12 months time that I’m really scared about, because it’s gonna be so expensive and being aware isn’t gonna help.
I’m sure there is lots you can do for your family (but you cannot lead a horse to water, sorry. Plan for them), and for what it’s worth you’ve helped me and my family.
Stay safe

Not related directly to this post, karlof1, but I am playing catchup myself, coming out to a lovely post-midnight cool breeze as our town slumbers. And I just wanted to thank you for an earlier short post you did briefly describing your travelling about Oregon. It very much brightened my spirits when I read it, so again thanks very much.
Oregon reminds me of farm country in New Zealand, and I get a seed catalogue from there — Nichols Nursery in Salem, very good seeds. One time they had a New Zealand maori winter squash,(landrace, so called, and race it does) which in good years has been very successful for me rampaging over my fruit trees (it loves to climb). I love them because I don’t have a credit card but they always accept my checks, unlike many other places. And they encourage seed savers, of which I am one,so the kumi kumi squash is a staple for me now.
Oregon beaches are lovely, and my family once took a boat ride up the Rogue River. As I remember, the crew sort of forgot about us so we had a long wait before they returned to take us back down.

We are living in times of psychopaths. This is scary as hell, but being scared means we understand the danger, unlike the zombies I observe around me who walk into their demise. We must take advantage of our understanding and help bring sanity back to the world.
When I was a teenager, I lived in the house of a psychopath. I cannot express how terrible it was, irrational things happened. I was all alone and I could not quite understand it, was I mad or not? I listened to music and it provided some relief. Somehow I survived and came out stronger. I learned to recognize the behaviour of psychopaths, it has helped me when I met similar people later in life. Do not ever let such people decide for you, they have no reverse gear.
Today it is a similar experience, only orders of magnitude greater. Now, we all live in the “house” of psychopaths. We must all learn to recognize the difference between sane behavour and the actions of current ‘leaders’. Do not let such people decide to inject you with unknown substances, take you to war or allow them to deny you access to energy. If you do, the next round will be worse. They have no reverse gear. Resist.

I was looking at odt.co.nz a few days ago (fairly staid Otago NZ paper) and caught that a New Zealand soldier off duty had died in Ukraine. The short article took pains to say that it was unfortunate, that New Zealand is not at war with Russia so still has a Russian embassy – but also that army personnel should be aware that puts them at risk.
A blog I would visit in New Zealand, mainly to see what comments were doing is now more closely monitored, don’t know if that is a good sign or not. They were getting plenty of pushback on the mainstream line when I visited previously, so the truth is making its way in.

The density of propaganda from mainstream across the entire western cluster of nations is impenetrable for now, but as more and more diminishment is obvious at the peak of that effort, the formidible iceberg begins to melt.
I’ve been thinking again of Solzhenitsyn’s “The First Circle”, where the cream of engineering intelligensia has been sequestered in a mega mansion on the outskirts of Moscow, there to provide the means for the regime to keep dissident voices under surveillance in the city at large. It’s a depressing story with a depressing end.
How is it, then, a crack in the edifice? Because, that it is.
Time for a re-read.

All the world’s mad except you and me….
and I have my doubts about you.(Auld Scottish saying)
.
It may appear that the world is run by madmen and women (and LGBThingies, cokeheads, and “undefined and wokies”, to be politically correct), and the general populace is stuck in place without moving … but is this the reality?
It has a connection with the Existential war between Russia/China and the capitalist mindset. The Russian part is that they have said NO to unlimited expansion and theft. (Asset seizure). However, the dirty big elephant in the room, is not the Politicians or any visible “leaders” or even a deep state, although it must have connections with the latter, but the 700$ trillion (and counting) derivatives market. The Black hole of Finance. Outside of any tax jurisdictions or any “official” control.
ALL these derivatives are based on some sort of basic collateral at their roots. Your house, business, stocks and shares, Art works, personal debts, have been split, bundled and resold multiple times. Where they are resplit and bundled into new financial “entities” to make more profits, before the next “wash and repeat”. Daisy-chain finance. No problem as long as no one needs money rapidly and calls in his bit of Derivative.
IF one “investor” needs to get his money out, then the one who “sold” the last bit pays (as the “originator”). If then He,she or it finds that this leaves them in a awkward position, they will “call in” further down the line.
Rapidly it becomes who gets he-she-its cash out the first. ALL based on the “original” collateral. YOUR house mortgage, business etc. is “owned” by an unknown number of people each with a claim, who want to get their money out.
(One thing to note is that JPMorgan and the Bank of America, are said to be the ones *Keeping* the books on who and what derivatives are issued. (Their sale is another question).
You can’t tell me that in a 700$trillion (but who is counting?) mashup, there have not already been many who want their money out.
All this leadup is just to point out that NEW collateral is needed AT ANY PRICE, to keep the whole caravan on the road.
***
It becomes clear that the present “austerity” and “Green deal” are only to get more collateral in a position to be used to hold up the derivative market. (Real businesses and debts, savings, Bank accounts).
Because there is not enough colleral to support the money mass that has been created and hidden in derivatives, it becomes obligatory to find new sources. Russia says no way, and so they turn to China, steal gold and oil from anyone, land if they can get it, and are ransacking Europe to “make up the shortfall”. Anything and everything has to become collateral to be “owned by the dark pool”, to stop it from imploding. You probably already own nothing – are you happy?
Unsustainable, but who cares? Yes, who? Can people be “financialized, bought and sold”? None of “your” leaders can or will do anything if they are not paid.
It does mean that the whole shebang could collapse literally any given day.
Tuesday OK?
****
PS. Not to worry, I recalculated that the Apocalypse or the end of time will not arrive until Thursday, June the 14th 2036, at 14h40 minutes. (Give or take a couple of minutes as a margin of error). Which correponds to a theoretical arrival of Apopis (Asteriod) nearby, or the US elections that year. So we have a bit of time left.
I had to recalculate, as the last time I did that it didn’t work out as I thought it would, and we are still here. I wasn’t FAR wrong as I ended up with 2001 – end of December , but I only missed the 9/11 by a short margin.

“You can’t tell me that in a 700$trillion (but who is counting?) mashup, there have not already been many who want their money out.”
I read around 2008 crash time that there was over 1.5 quadrillion in those derivatives. Probably doubled by now. I have been presuming that they are the main reason for the upcoming Reset. Debt jubilee by mass asset-stripping = ‘you will own nothing and by happy’ hour time!

“Labor Day” — in case you’re not from around here — is a US American concoction to supplant International Worker’s Day, May 1st (which also sprouted on USA soil, as it happens). The reason US American laborers need another day — not one to share with all workers of the world — is because our workers are extra special.
It’s a good thing some workers have the day off thiscoming Monday, anyhow, as Monday is currently forecasted to stand out as the center of an historically intense heat wave, out here. This forecast at 850hPa from Nullschool conveys the extent of a high-pressure heat-dome, centered between Tahoe and the Great Salt Lake:
https://earth.nullschool.net/#2022/09/06/2300Z/wind/isobaric/850hPa/overlay=temp/orthographic=-120.00,37.00,2500
Note the somewhat disorganized clockwise-ness of winds all around this huge dome. In the northern hemisphere, clockwise = anti-cyclonic = high-pressure. Jennifer Francis gets credit, imho, for first explaining how and why Earth’s weather is decellerating: because there’s less energy to drive a firm jet stream as the Arctic warms more quickly than the equator — sapping the difference that drives all currents.
Slowing down is one of the key features of our human revised global climate — along with enhanced absorption of water, and even more lightning, because of greater average temps. Observing the foot-dragging of weather systems is a hobby of mine: If they say this heat-wave will peak on Monday, it’ll probably procrastinate until at least Tuesday.
(Nullschool is a very rich weather tracking/forecasting tool, based on state-of-the-art data and models. The J & K keys take you backward or forward in time.)

John Menadue reports concerning a long-running international anti-Chinese propaganda campaign, with link to a Stanford Internet Observatory study:

The study is called: “Unheard Voice: Evaluating five years of pro-Western covert influence operations.”
a) Narrative creators made multiple fake personas with AI-generated faces to appear as authentic human beings. These appeared as accounts of “real people” on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other media;
b) Narrative creators posed as journalists running independent media outlets;
c) Narrative creators made memes and short videos (for sharing on Tiktok, Instagram and others);
d) Narrative creators ran hashtag campaigns across platforms;
e) Narrative creators launched online petitions on “change” style sites known for “human rights” campaigns.
The players had “an interconnected web of accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and five other social media platforms” indicating a high level, well-organized operation to deceive. This enabled agents to back up false narratives by quoting each other: they backed up false news with quotes from what seemed to be small news operations or even large ones, like Voice of America, to promote a pro-west, anti-east narrative.

I take it rjb and bevin deny there is a campaign in the US to demonize, demoralize, deracinate and disempower white people.

Said campaign includes the teaching of Critical Race Theory and the firing of the Dean of a nursing school for saying that everyone’s life matters.

If you want to see fascist evil-spirited antidemocratic insurrectionists at a horrible Trump rally, the first after his home being ransacked (Melania has thrown away the clothes they rifled through!), go to around 2:04 to watch these ghastly people dancing to YMCA by the Village People shortly before Orange Man Bad himself comes on stage.
A terrible contrast between his hugely attended rally and Benito Biden’s scripted Hell Realm extravaganza. I can see why Biden feels the need to scream from the rooftops that the soul of the country is at stake. With opposition like this so implacably arrayed against him he knows these anti-democratic fascists have no love for him and might send him pacing in disgrace which of course would be a terrible thing for the country he so dearly loves – where else is it perfectly legal to bank bribes from foreign governments and still get elected to be in charge? God Bless the USA!!!
What’s most devious about all this is about how happy and cheerful all his followers seem. Truly scary!!

1962 indo/sino border clash.
Ex Aussie diplomat Gregory Clark…

New Delhi claimed unprovoked Chinese aggression. But the maps in front of me showed the Thag La ridge to be north of even the Indian-claimed frontier. So India must have attacked China first, and in an area where China had already offered major territory concessions (condemned, incidentally, by Taipei as a sellout to India).
When my cables to London and Washington confirmed this rather important fact, I assumed I could suggest to my superiors to ease up on their instant denunciations of Chinese “aggression” and their promises of immediate arms to India. Their response was swift: “We fail to see that it is not in the Western interest to have the Chinese and the Indians at each other’s throats.” London and Washington went along with this grubby realpolitik. Soon the commentators and experts in the Western media and elsewhere were retailing ominous tales about China’s aggressive intentions throughout Asia.

Articles about “Artemis”, the new American space rocket, say the launch has been postponed a second time.
When you dig a little deeper, it turns out that the “new” rocket is using old Space Shuttle engines.
The oldest engine in “Artemis 1” dates from 1998 and has been to space 12 times already.

September 4. /TASS/. The Pentagon is poised to shortly relocate the programs unfinished in Ukraine to other post-Soviet states, as well as to Eastern European states, such as Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and the Baltic states. The enlargement of the network of bio laboratories, which may be used to develop and store components of biological weapons, poses a threat to the military security of the Russian Federation

Interesting dissertation from Faux New’s recent interview with former career hardliner Federal Attorney General Bill Barr. A man who was appointed by DJT.
Promoting his new book. The man completely demolishes all of “DJT’s” pointless lies and vain rhetoric since the FBI search and seizure raid. Labels DJT’s activities in delaying the return of stolen government documents as an unwarranted obstruction and very “FOOLISH”.
Clearly, the trolls and fools who are downvoting/denigrating the interviews on both YouTube and Bchute. Are completely ignoring the man’s hardline past history over the past three decades. In jail all the sinners of criminal behavior. Yet let the Prez Executive Office controlled criminals go free(Iran-Contra scum). lmao
Good old DJT the lying troll-in-chief. The gift that keeps on giving. 🙂

Denk I do not know the quote or context, but I would bet quite a lot of money that the Bertrand Russell quote was sarcasm- British humour at its most confusing i suspect.
Bertrand Russell was a well known philosopher, mathematician, peace activist and humanist. He was also a very well connected aristocrat, but from a tradition in his ducal family of being tolerant and charitable.

Why did most of these East European and Russian people, change their surnames, when they moved to Germany?
What were they ashamed of?
Tony

Serfdom(slavery) in Imperial Russia was abolished by Tsar Alexander II in 1861. Why would an illiterate Russian serf need a surname prior to that date?
I would suggest you read up on the history of Prussia and ultimately the forced reunification of Germany in 1871. As bonus Government provided medical care and a pension retirement age of 65(Count Otto Von Bismark Reforms). Surnames were made mandatory as each independent state/principality was gradually integrated into the Prussian State at gunpoint. For census and stocktaking reasons. The average life expectancy of a German Peon prior to 1900 was less than fifty years.
History tells us Germany of old prior to the Napoleonic era consisted of 300 assorted independent kingdoms.
To receive a surname in France circa 1601. An era of serfs or tithed slaves/subsistence agriculture. This would indicate that person is buried in a marked grave. Was a man of substance and wealth. Probably a wealthy merchant who purchased a surname. Or a noble or a minor nobility at birth. If a family crest is on the marker(strict rules apply). The illiterate peons in France in 1600 would be considered wealthy serfs. Only if they had more than ten copper coins at death.

The light at the end of the tunnel is definitely a train…
New Fertilizer Production Cuts Heighten Concerns For Global Food Supplies

Fertilizer producer Yara International last week announced further production cuts in the face of rising natural gas prices. Yara said the cuts will bring its European capacity utilization for ammonia, the main ingredient in all nitrogen fertilizers, to just 35%.

Europe-wide, fertilizer production capacity utilization, excluding Ukraine, is running at an estimated 50% for ammonia and at about 33% for nitrogen fertilizer, according to CRU Group, an independent fertilizer consultancy.

The Western Europe ammonia spot price is currently around $1290 per tonne, up 3% since late July and almost six times the level of August 2020.

The Monitor, which is free for anyone to use, shows that worldwide production of the four staple crops combined would decrease between 0.42% and 2.11% compared with 2021 levels, depending on the fertilizer usage scenario.

To put the 0.42% to 2.11% numbers in perspective: the oil prices increases of the past year have been due to an approximately 1% more demand vs. supply issue.
Any change in food supply of the magnitude stated above is going to cause real suffering, hence real agitation.
Are you all ready?

Posted by: karlof1 | Sep 2 2022 17:18 utc | 110

No. They are better off being sovereign countries with their own currencies.
But now the problem is far beyond that. They need to deny the US and embrace Russia. A very big step.
Basically just embrace socialism. But this hurts a lot of elites.
The Ukraine war also threatens to expose a lot of western dirty laundry.
