Summary of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the progress of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine (07082022)
As a result of the strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the temporary deployment point of units of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the city of Artemovsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic, up to 130 servicemen and eight units of automotive and armored vehicles were destroyed.
Up to 70 servicemen, three self-propelled artillery installations “Gvozdika” and four units of automotive equipment were destroyed by the impact of high-precision air-based missiles on the temporary location of the howitzer battery of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Dzerzhinsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In the city of Kharkiv on the territory of CHP-3 and Karpovsky Garden, as a result of strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces at the temporary deployment points of the 3rd brigade of the National Guard, over a hundred nationalists were destroyed.
Due to the high losses, the Zelensky regime is taking measures to make up for the shortage of personnel of Ukrainian formations in the area of hostilities in the Donbas. So, it was decided to send mobilized citizens to the front line ahead of schedule, who began training at the training center of the 72nd mechanized brigade in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kiev region.
The wounded who were in hospitals are sent along with them, without waiting for them to complete a full course of rehabilitation after injuries.
Strikes by Russian operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery against military facilities on the territory of Ukraine continue. During the day, three control points were hit, including the battalion of the 66th mechanized Brigade in the area of the village of Ocheretino, the battalion of the 109th Territorial Defense Brigade in the Berestka area of the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 173 districts.
Destroyed: a Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile launcher in the area of the settlement of Chas Yar of the Donetsk People’s Republic, five ammunition depots, including an ammunition depot equipped in one of the workshops of the St. Ilyinsky Machine-Building Plant in the Dachnoye district of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Also, an arsenal was destroyed in the Voznesensk area of the Mykolaiv region, where 45000 tons of ammunition recently supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by NATO countries were stored.
As part of the counter-battery struggle, four platoons of MLRS “Grad”, two platoons of guns “Msta-B”, a platoon of guns “Hyacinth-B” were suppressed at firing positions in the areas of the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Sukhaya Balka, Lastochkino and Krasnogorovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Russian air defense means shot down eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the day in the areas of the settlements of Krasnoe, Chervoniy Yar, Dibrovnoye, Petropavlovsk, Kharkiv region, Staromikhailovka, Rovnopol, Malinovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the city of Donetsk. Also, one projectile of a multiple rocket launcher system was intercepted in the Kamenka area of the Kharkiv region.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 263 aircraft, 145 helicopters, 1701 unmanned aerial vehicles, 362 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4262 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 789 multiple rocket launchers, 3273 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 4756 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.

On top of the destruction of tonnes of Nato weapons many more have been captured by the RF from a wholes host of nations. Surely the capture and destruction of weapons and manpower is unsustainable for Zelensky.
Unless of course more Nato troops (wearing Ukrainian combat gear) appear on the battlefield inside Ukraine.

With the Zelensky fronted house of cards about to topple (Ukrainian forces are losing badly) could some sort of disaster be planned and blamed on Russia to shift the focus away from the worrying truth that in reality Russia is coming close to subduing the Ukrainian forces in East Ukraine (Donbas) and surrounding areas.
“Given the situation around the Zaporozhye NPP, there is an increasing risk of a nuclear disaster or an emergency situation, which would lead to negative consequences,” he pointed out. “The August 5 artillery shelling of the NPP is another proof of it,” he added.
“As a responsible state realizing how difficult it is to ensure the security of nuclear facilities, Russia is making utmost efforts to make sure that the NPP is safe,” the diplomat noted. “We will employ all possible means to prevent security violations and maintain security at the highest level based on the IAEA’s requirements,” he added.
“As for the risk of nuclear materials from Ukraine falling into the hands of terrorists, it cannot be ruled out that if an emergency situation or a disaster takes place, Ukraine’s nuclear facilities will go out of control,” Belousov stressed. “We are doing our best to prevent such a scenario,” he said.”

The US is to throw more dollars at Ukraine including a billions worth in arms, I wonder what the American taxpayer thinks about it. I’m sure there a number of important areas inhouse where the money could be spent, including US infrastructure.
“The administration of US President Joe Biden is planning to announce yet another military aid package for Ukraine to add to about $8.8 billion in assistance Washington has given Kiev since Russia launched the campaign five months ago.
The new arms package, expected to be worth $1 billion, will reportedly include ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), and National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) as well as some 50 M113 armored medical vehicles, Reuters cited three sources with knowledge of the matter.
The package, one of the largest so far, is expected to be announced as early as Monday, the report said Friday.”

The continuous avalanche of Ukrainian bad news is actually starting to “drone” on and on like a mosquito filled summer evening. I now normally only tune in when there are big developments happening which is usually a Russian strategic victory or less often, a US Intelligence supplied Ukie atrocity like the bombing of the DPR prison. The SMO is definitely going on much longer than I would have acknowledged 5 months ago. Now however, with the constant rumours and news of Kiev’s hatred for regular Ukrainian people, I just wish Russia and LPR/DPR forces would bomb Kiev into the stone age and finish this action. IF there are any leadership still left in that cursed city.

They use both artillery and mlrs for attacks on npp. I don’t think they teleport them in range, shoot then disappear. There seems to be no monitoring at all. Considering there are multiple npps in Ukr, it’s almost certain nato wants to explode at least one of them, the one closest to Crimea first and then the one closest to Belarus
A few days ago Shtoly said again that Russia can’t be allowed to win and demanded bigger and more advanced weapons. It is possible to turn the whole country in a mess. A few npps and chemical storage is one way. Terrorism with mlrs is another way. Since Shoigu isn’t doing anything to prevent strikes on npp, which seem to be happening very frequently now, maybe he prepares to go home. Take Donbass and bye bye, like in 2015 with Crimea. That would explain why nazi leadership is not targeted and Kiev, Lvov are safer than Belgorod. They’ll say operation was finished successfully (which you can’t contradict, D&D is too ambiguous), nato will say Russia was defeated (which you can’t contradict since you don’t know exactly what Russia wanted).

Yes there can be no other reason to shell a (NNP) other than to hope that it leads to a disaster. Maybe this is why.

At the nuclear power plant, part of the equipment of power unit No. 3 was de-energized, the generated capacity of power unit No. 4 was reduced.
During the special operation, the Russian military took control of the Kherson region and the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region. In both regions, new administrations have been formed, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored. The regions have announced plans to become part of Russia.”

Sorry, but it can’t be done that way. Kiev is not a cursed city for the Rus and cannot be bombed to destroy it. Practically all of the famous buildings, roads, bridges, parks, underground and overground railway system, etc, etc were build by the Soviet people, so cannot be destroyed. Zelensky was born in the Soviet Ukraine, because there was no other place for him to be born, for his parents to live in. As Jews, they could be in any country, for they never had a country. Today, he is playing an Ukrainian, which he is not.

That’s a pity, I’m sure you must be utterly frustrated at the level of awareness on the matter with your fellow Americans, countless US administrations have funded foreign wars (just or unjust) off the backs of US taxpayers for decades, its not right nor fair, even now the US taxpayer funds Israel with billions of dollars. I find it hard to see what the US taxpayers gets in return for all this funding, other than the anger from the foreign countries citizens that your tax dollars have been spent on to either usurp it democratically elected leader, and replace them with a puppet leader, or cause civil unrest or asset strip.

“The bulk carrier Razoni with Ukrainian grain has changed the route and, apparently, is waiting for instructions on a new destination, the report said. Twitter Ali Hamiya, Minister of Public Works and Transport of Lebanon.
“Razoni departing from port Odessa with a cargo of corn that was rumored to arrive at the port Tripoli in Lebanon, changes course before arriving at the originally announced destination. The data indicate that it is awaiting instructions to determine its new destination,” he said.

On August 7, Ukraine used 220 mm Hurricane MLRS cluster rocket fragmentation submunitions to again hit Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
The spent fuel area was hit; fragmentation submunitions and the rocket engine hit no more than 400 meters from one of the operating reactors,

There will have been pressure from Ukraine. But the pressure that counts with Amnesty comes from Washington and, to a lesser extent, London. And, in particular from the Agencies which supply so many of its staff and ensure that it is well funded.
The organisation was set up to mobilise liberal public opinion against the USSR in the interests of the Empire. That mission has never changed.

This may look like off topic, but it is connected to Ukraine “crisis.”
China continues to raise the stakes in the confrontation with Taiwan, especially against the backdrop of US statements. Chinese State TV informs that the PLA will now conduct regular exercises east of the median line in the Taiwan Strait. Also, notes that the so-called “Taiwan territorial waters” do not exist. In the meantime, China intends to continue the current exercise, which will last until at least August 15 (if it is not extended again). In other words, China is opening a second front for the main sponsor of the Ukraine “crisis,” the US.

So the BBC repeats the lie that the Russians shelled the NPP that they control, and then reports that the mayor of Nikopol complains that the Russians are shelling his city daily from the NPP without batting an eye. Unbelievable.
Nikolaev is under lockdown with door-to-door searches for ‘traitors’ (from RT) but Putin is trying to “save face”. This is the face of Ukrainian victory. Desertion, forced conscription, lies and more lies. Where is Bellingcat fanboy Yeowanda to straighten us out?

On August 7, Russian sources shared photos showing the remains of a US-made AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile, that was allegedly launched by Kiev forces, near a position of the Russian military in an unspecified part of Ukraine.
The AGM-88 was designed to detect, attack and destroy radar and transmitter.
The US didn’t announce that it will supply Ukraine with AGM-88 missiles. Nevertheless, Kiev’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in July that Ukraine will receive anti-radiation missiles, which were not previously in the arsenal of its forces.
The AGM-88 can be launched from several advanced Western fighter jets, none of which are in service with the Ukrainian Air Force. It is possible that Kiev forces have been firing AGM-88 missiles from ground-based launchers.

Many officials, speaking from safe spaces free from dangerous narratives, condemn AI for propagating harmful triggers. Others have required therapy.

Not frustrated or upset, just amazed. When the subject comes up I retaliate. Got more than a few of the hardcore military veterans scratching their heads. My foreman served in support of special operators for many years. Some have family in Eastern Europe serving in NATO. It is tough sledding but I have made some progress.
The subject does not come up much anymore anyway. Most everyone feeds off their corrupt co opted media outlets.

Two news stories from Finland this week, via the state broadcasting corporation YLE.
1) The Finnish security police Supo wants to criminalize the distribution of “fake news” originating from a foreign intelligence service. Supo also claims the right to decide what is fake and what is true. As Finland has now come under NATO occupation, all “news” produced by NATO or Ukrainian intelligence services are true.
The law proposal mentions “foreign intelligence services” as the origin of the forbidden news. Everything published by RT or Sputnik naturally originates from Russian intelligence. “Intelligence services” are only mentioned in the proposal, as this allows Supo to prosecute the criminal cases in closed court, based on secret evidence and analysis which the public will not be allowed to see.
Luckily only few of the cases will ever come to court. Supo will have the power to send warning notices to violators. Only if people have received a warning and continue with their criminal activity, can the crime be prosecuted. The mere threat of a warning will likely deter most criminals.
Security Police suggests: Deliberately spreading fake news on behalf of a foreign power should be criminalized
Supo proposes a procedure in which a person who shares disinformation from a foreign intelligence service would first be warned. If the action continued, the act would be a crime. The professor of criminal law has reservations about the proposal.
2) Russia fired artillery shells and rocket artillery at its own nuclear power plant. The news story fails to mention that the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has been under Russian control since March. Amusingly, the story contains a video of the damage, titled “destruction caused by the Russian missile strike [on the NPP] in the Zaporizhzhia region”. The source of the video is stated to be the “Telegram channel of Russian occupation authorities”.

On Sunday, Russia fired rockets at the storage field of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, where spent nuclear fuel is stored.

I think there’s an intellectual / legal / diplomatic logic behind the SMO that is leading to these sorts of outcomes but which has, so far, almost certainly served to minimise RF military and UA civilian casualties, thereby greatly aiding the political goals of the SMO.
If RF attacks political targets, senior military or senior intelligence, it invites the same in retaliation. If RF initiates the militarisation Zaporizhzhya NNP with air defense missile systems, UA & handlers would cry out. Now that it’s being scandalously bombarded, the placement of defensive missiles is justified.
I think RF is avoiding making the first move, even at the expense of getting hit. This isn’t about how it looks in the western propaganda gulag, which is a lost cause, or even to the RF domestic audience, it’s about how it looks everywhere else. On that score, RF is constantly seen to underplay its hand and avoid unprovoked militarisation or antagonistic occupation.

Interesting: per the LiveUAmap used frequently here, Ukraine has gained slightly more territory in the past week around the M03 toward Izyum than Russia/proxies have pushing north from Donetsk city. The feature to snap the map back to a specific date is pretty cool – looks like they have a REST API but getting a key requires a paid subscription, bummer. There are six nuclear reactors at the Zaporozhye (Zaporizhzhia) nuclear power plant and they each have a spent fuel pool (Chernobyl did not have a spent fuel pool). Each pool probably holds 3 to 5 times more long-lived radionuclides than does each reactor. The pools must be cooled 24/7 or else the heat from the spent fuel assemblies will cause the water in the pools to boil off. If the fuel rods in the assemblies are exposed to air or steam, they will heat to the point of rupture or ignition and release massive amounts of radiation.

The US has an unlimited supply of play money it can send to Ukraine or elsewhere. It can give money to the world’s largest military contractor – Lockheed Martin; or the second largest, Boeing (which would be bankrupt without free money); or the 3rd, Raytheon; or the 4th, Pfizer, (yes, Pfizer is a military contractor and so is Humana).
The US will keep throwing out its fake money to friends until the international community calls “bullshit”.
