Shroeder interviewed by Stern, in German and behind a paywall. Comments on that interview by German speakers would be appreciated. Posted by: Paco | Aug 4 2022 11:03 utc | 1 It is reported that ten more countries want to join the SCO: UAE, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Nepal, Egypt, Armenia, Azerbaijan. The UAE asked to immediately grant them the status of a member of the SCO, bypassing the bureaucratic procedure, this issue will be considered at the summit in Samarkand on September 15-16. German 1 year fwd. baseload electricity prices up more than 10x, French also. Either cooking and heating will be a luxury in Europe in 1 year or the current administrations will be swept away and energy trade with Russia will pick up again. I’m betting on the latter. Posted by: Ray | Aug 4 2022 14:18 utc | 5 Yesterday, Germany’s Annalena Baerbock was in Montréal to meet with Canada’s Mélanie Joly. The two held a news conference and a “fireside chat” that was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Metropolitan Montreal. Today the ambassador to Ukraine is giving her views to MPs. I agree, but I don’t trust ze Germans to get rid of Scholz and company. Anyway, we in Europe should get rid of most of the Davos puppets. Posted by: Idiocrates | Aug 4 2022 16:22 utc | 11 As per youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORFNjCHFD3g Posted by: Den Lille Abe | Aug 4 2022 16:33 utc | 12 Lavrov’s in Cambodia for the ASEAN Foreign Ministers meeting and made this statement from which I’m posting this excerpt: A funny thing happened to me on the way to the hospital: I saw one “No Smoking” sign for every 3 cars among the 10000 cars and 5000 mobility-impaired diabetic pigs parked at the hospital. Every authority in this country believes that smoking a plant from the ground is worse than car culture. I never met a Marxist who felt differently, for all the empty mouth-running people do about how “scientific” their opinions are. Med school used to be torture. But things change. Now it’s as party laced as any College Town U. RTR, and all that. They bitch about student loan debt as justification for the robberies their hospitals perform as routines. Healer? Yeah, if your ailment is covered in the database they use; otherwise they are no better than your google ventures on your own. Chuba | Aug 4 2022 19:11 utc | 20 CNN: “Brittney Griner was found guilty in a Russia court of drug smuggling with criminal intent.” Nine years in a penal colony! Posted by: Robert Konrad | Aug 4 2022 19:27 utc | 21 Robert Konrad @21 Posted by: William Gruff | Aug 4 2022 19:51 utc | 22 @Robert Konrad, the US is not decriminalizing weed. Multiple states have broken federal law by legalizing it at the state level. Joe Biden promised to legalize if federally but he was lying (because it’s who he is). There are people all over the US still serving time for the same weight and you’d get arrested trying to bring it into the US. It’s morally wrong and I disagree with it (been breaking those laws most of my life), but Russia isn’t an outlier. Posted by: Lex | Aug 4 2022 19:55 utc | 23 Dear William Gruff, thanks for your advice. But no, thank you. There ain’t no “mom’s basement” where I live, and I have never lived in a trailer park, either. Apparently you are intimately familiar with such alternative, subnormal living. Well, it is what it is. Life’s not fair. Tightening economic integration and the continued pounding of the table when it comes to the basis of International Relations and Law and reciprocal appreciation continues everywhere Russian diplomacy surfaces. The Outlaw Nations are slowly being corralled. Once the international financial and trading systems get revamped, all illegal sanctions can finally be ignored and kept within the corral along with their issuers and followers, and the rest of the world can finally be freed from them. Schroeder left his cover. He wasn’t, I don’t believe, on their board (like with Burisma). BUT, it’s all still the same stuff: Clintons, Bidens helped rape the post-Soviet countries (the tide had turned). Posted by: Seer | Aug 5 2022 1:11 utc | 41 Do you want to know what the Eurasian alliance’s greatest fear is? It’s the collapse of the United States, economically, socially, politically, culturally, and civilizationally, at too fast a pace to subdue the probability of a resort to the use of nuclear weapons. Ordinary Americans should thank the rising powers of the East for such compassionate concern, because if successful, it will allow those of innocence to live their lives out naturally. Posted by: Melissa | Aug 5 2022 1:13 utc | 42 why do the health protocols change if a disease escaped or was released from a lab vs evolution outside the lab? the whole world is a capitalist lab. there is no “natural” evolution any longer. why do people use their legit concern over the origins of the virus to argue for abandoning public health measures, rather than making those measure as absolutely as strong as humanly possible? The writer John Ganz has embraced the anti-fascist crusade with particular vigour. He’s discovered his creative niche. Here is a fine example of his “anti-fascist” fascist-expose zeal. The subject is Peter Thiel. The Chinese “unrestricted warfare, which includes economic warfare, will be amplified with a kind of economic lawfare. Posted by: Jonathan W | Aug 5 2022 7:18 utc | 51 The United States reminds me of a bully who’s left standing in a vacant elementary school playground, threatening and hollering into the empty void, convinced that everyone’s still listening and that his words still have an effect. The rest of the world has moved on. It’s over. Posted by: Nathan | Aug 5 2022 8:18 utc | 52 Further to my previous comment: the United States would do well to engage in introspection and simultaneously prepare for descent into a low-energy future, rather than delude itself that it’s still emperor of lands.
