Please Support Moon of Alabama

Dear Reader,

twice a year I ask for your help to keep Moon of Alabama going. This is the last call for this biannual drive.

Here are some reasons why you should consider it.

Retweeting @MoonofA

I don’t know exactly what @MoonofA’s political orientation is, but their articles are always full of verifiable sources for claims, and you can form your own opinion based on what they report.

They also self-criticize well.

We all need to write more in this style. link to MoA

He is very good, indeed! And he accepts diverse views!

Also strange is that most of the comments are worth reading. I disagree with and object to some of them but almost none of them are outright crazy.

Yeah, I love reading at the discourse in some articles and I don’t necessarily have to agree with everything. Wish we have this kind of healthy environment on here as well.

I of course love such feedback. But I also need to eat and pay rent.

This site is a full time effort and I have no other income I could rely on. While I live in somewhat better circumstances than Spitzweg’s Poor Poet, I am neither rich nor do I indulge myself in luxuries.

Every donation to this Poor Poet – be it $5, $50, $500 or more – is welcome and needed. A recurring contribution or sponsorship would be great.

Transaction costs are the smallest when you send cash or make a bank-wire transfer. Send email to MoonofA @ aol.com (remove the blanks) for the necessary details. (They are the same as before.) You can use other means when you donate through the PayPal button below even without having a PayPal account. (The Moon of Alabama account is in Euro with currently €1 ~ US $1.00 and US $1 ~ €1.00).

Thank you very much!

Bernhard aka b.

I tried to donate, but it wouldn’t let me do so without going through paypal. Sorry about that.

For those reporting problems with paypal CC or high cost of transfers, may I suggest use ‘Wise’. This ia a relatively new online bank, allows multicurrency accounts and converts to other currencies at interbank rates. Transferring funds is extremely

The url is wise.com. The initial account opening may take a while as they too have to follow all rules regarding identificantion and KYC.

Unbelievable! €25 that I sent via unPayPal finally cleared today. Hope you got the dough on the other end! These parasitic Jews always taking a cut, 7 long days, to get their slice of the action!?!

30€ on their way.
As an aside: after I made my giro transfer to B, which went from a German bank account to another German bank account, I made another donation, this time to Britain. This donation went to a bank account in a foreign country, obviously. For giro transfers abroad, my online banking has a different page/menu. “Auslandsüberweisung”, literally foreign country giro transfer. And on this page dedicated to transfers abroad they now show a message for money transfers to Canada! Giro transfers to Canada require the sender to explicitly state his full name and full address, otherwise it won’t get through on the Canadian end. Again, this only concerns transfers to Canada from abroad. People here will recall the horror poor Trudy experienced during the trucker protests. The protesters were eventually accused of receiving substantial financial support from the “wrong” kind of people in the US, namely conservatives/Republicans. They had their accounts frozen. I believe this new requirement for sending money to Canada is part of the totalitarian overreach of the Trudeau regime which it unleashed in the wake of the protests.

I attempted to donate from Thailand through the PayPal link you provided but PayPal said the transaction isn’t supported from my country.

I do not want to give PayPal any of my personal information as they are untrustworthy and support the deep state.

Apologies if I repeat what others know, but I am a newcomer and I don’t see any description of how to contribute.
Even this posting which requests contributions seems to lack that info.
