Everyone keeps saying Strategic Culture is back… It’s not. I’ve been trying all afternoon and the site times out every time. I’ve been trying to get access to this article:

Get ready: something lethally “asymmetrical” may be about to pop up.
Neither NATO nor Russia is telling us what really happened with the Moskva, the legendary admiral ship of the Black Sea fleet.
NATO because in theory, they know. Moscow, for its part, made it clear they are not saying anything until they can be sure what happened.
One thing is certain. If the Russian Ministry of Defense finds out that NATO did it, they will let loose all the dogs from Hell on NATO, as in “asymmetrical, lethal and fast”.
On Moskva’s location: it was positioned near one of 3 drilling rigs, used for monitoring a whole sector of the Black Sea with hydrophones and NEVA-BS radar, the most westward one, BK-2 Odessa, approximately 66 km northeast from Snake Island. The whole thing was integrated in the regional monitoring systems. As in everything, literally, was monitored: ships, low flying targets, smaller echoes, even the bobbing head of an unsuspecting swimmer.
So there was a quite slim chance that anything – not to mention subsonic Neptune missiles and Bayraktar drones – could have slipped through this aerial net.
So what could have possibly happened?

Two huge fires in Bryansk. Oil depot and possibly military tanks at the tank farm are on fire, the regional government said.
Seems to be lots of spontaneous fires breaking out at juicy military/infrastructure targets deep inside Russia – DEW weapons perhaps being used?

Please spare us from the vaguely labelled hypothetical energy beams, working on completely unknown principles, which apparently have effects which have never been demonstrated to exist on any scale in or out of a lab. That is the kind of pseudo-scientific garbage that wrecked the 9/11 movement.
Beams have to consist of something, either electromagnetic spectrum or particles and those things would not escape attention. Common or garden sabotage is quite adequate as an explanation thanks.

Blinken, March 5, 2021, sanctions
Today, I am announcing the public designation of oligarch and former Ukrainian public official Ihor Kolomoyskyy due to his involvement in significant corruption. . . In addition to Ihor Kolomoyskyy, I am publicly designating the following members of Ihor Kolomoyskyy’s immediate family: his wife, Iryna Kolomoyska, his daughter, Angelika Kolomoyska, and his son, Israel Zvi Kolomoyskyy. This action renders Ihor Kolomoyskyy and each of these members of his immediate family ineligible for entry into the United States. . .here
Posted by: Don Bacon | Apr 24 2022 22:38 utc | 63

That Zelensky’s selection as President was financed by Kolomoyskyy is common knowledge. He defeated Poroskenko AKA “Our Ukraine insider…” according to Wikileaks published diplomatic cables.
The March 2021 sanctions were to let Zelensky know of the change in his ownership from Kolomoyskyy to the US State Department and CIA. His immediate changes in policy and behavior reflect that change.

Hello Ian. I just wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed your writing on the Russia-Ukraine situation including the most recent one.
However, I’m only aware of one or two barflies who think that Russia is a simple force for good, or at least – more realistically in that mindset anyway – somehow bringing the “good” of a so-called multi-polar world into being and that it will keep the negative instincts of people and the rapacious mechanisms behind “Western” capitalism somehow in check. Clearly that’s a much too simplistic and naive outlook.
And while I’m only just past the part in your latest post about Estonian women, I think you’re missing the point on the propaganda / psyops war that’s being waged against the citizens of the West by their own media, social media and government. Your points on how NATO is seen in EU is a perfect example of what this propaganda war on the people of the West is about.
The “pro-Russia” (as a savior) crowd is very small, indeed. And while I appreciate you appealing to people to donate money to refugees, I don’t think that’s a new idea for denizens of MoA. IOW I think you may be missing your target audience here. Happy to discuss if you disagree and I’m about to finish reading your piece.

It works just fine for me here in suburban Houston. Takes a little longer to load, but I read Pepe’s article earlier this afternoon. You might want to check into your Internet situation and/or try accessing it from a VPN. Strategic Culture is not down and it’s not asking me for a login as I’ve seen claimed. That was probably a temporary measure during the process of addressing or minimizing the damage done from the DDoS attack.

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Apr 25 2022 3:53 utc | 112

Testing. Testing. Last few comments have been disappeared. Not sure if they ever got posted. Was on a VPN, so that might be the issue. Testing. Testing.

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Apr 25 2022 3:54 utc | 113

OK, so it was the proxy service causing issue’s with b’s hosting platform.
Anyway, I wrote to Ian Kummer about his recent article and stated that I think he’s missing his target audience here on the “Russia isn’t anyone’s savior” post, but invited him to comment further on whether I may be missing something. Nobody here at MoA would like to live in Russia, at least not many – under the current situation there.
To RSH:
Strategic Culture is working fine. I read Pepe’s article earlier today. They had a login requirement for a while as they were in the process of either waiting out or deflecting/avoiding the ongoing DDoS attack(s). But it works just as well as normal for me here in suburban Houston. Have you tried a VPN or using a mobile phone on mobile data (different IP addy)?

Wnanna register my disgust with posters in previous threads (looking at you, Roger and Nemesis_Calling) spouting Nazi apologetics and even floating the Suvorov thesis, that the Soviets were preparing to attack the Nazis, justifying Barbarossa — and these are people who claim to support Russia’s pre-emptive attack on Ukrainian Nazis nextdoor! Twisted, despicable stuff. You should be ashamed but have none.

Thanks for that Ian. Got a translation of the lyrics to the patriotic song?
As for your suggestion that citizens of the west clean up their own houses – I think we all wish it were that simple. I remember in the lead up to the 2nd Iraq war that a majority of the citizenry in the US and UK were opposed to that war and there were many protests about it including some very large ones – all to no effect.
Unfortunately our citizenry has developed a serious case of amnesia over the past two decades and seemingly can’t recall how blatantly and openly they were lied to by both the press and government officials in 2002.
Over the past weeks since the start of the SMO there have been many posts/discussion in these threads regarding the difficulty of convincing friends/relatives/acquaintances that the narrative they are being feed is both entirely one-sided as well as defective/deceptive. I have personally experienced this and have mostly given up trying to ‘raise the flag’ on this one.
I continue to hope that Russia’s action will result in fundamental changes in international relations, at least some of which are positive, and that we don’t all go down in all consuming flames. There is a lot of momentum that has been built up over the past 30 years that makes it seem as if there are not and will not be fundamental changes in the world order, but it seems to me that the power has been turned off and we are still coasting so that changes which are occurring have yet to manifest clearly.
At any rate I enjoyed the essay.

The European Commission said earlier that Moscow was the EU’s main supplier of energy sources in 2021 with some 45% of European imported gas coming from Russia. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in early April that the commission will present a plan to phase out the EU’s dependency on Russian gas, oil, and coal in the middle of May.

https://sputniknews.com/20220424/brussels-some-eu-countries-would-face-major-energy-crisis-if-imports-from-russia-banned-1095015512.html

The details of sanctions regarding Russian oil have not yet been agreed, Dombrovskis noted, adding that the EU may consider phasing out Russian oil or imposing export tariffs above a certain price cap.
In 2021, Russia’s imports to the European Union amounted to about 45% of gas, 27% of crude oil, and 46% of coal, according to the European Commission.

UK Minister Gove Backs Coal Mine Opening to Cut Energy Dependence on Russia, Reports Say …

The UK’s dependence on Russian energy is primarily confined to the coal sector. In 2021, the UK imported over 50% of its all coal supplies, with Russia accounting for 43% of those. Moreover, Russia occupies leading position in exporting both steam coal and coking coal to the UK, ensuring 46% and 39% of deliveries, respectively.

I don’t know if the news is true or not, but I’m afraid it is. How long can Russia endure a war against the supply chain of all NATO members? Either Russia destroys these shipments at the border, or it will face increasingly serious problems.
“Today alone, at least six American heavy transport planes arrived in Poland at the Rzeszow airfield, which is 90 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Two US Air Force C-17A Globemaster military transport aircraft, capable of carrying up to 77.5 tons of cargo, as well as Boeing 747 aircraft from US transport companies chartered by the Pentagon, landed at the site.
The arrival of the C-17A aircraft from the UK was also recorded.
On the question of logistics. All this, of course, can be transported in small civilian trucks, trucks, minivans. Don’t follow everything. But photos of huge trains running on fuel from Romania and Moldova or photos of Slovak tanks in the combat zone seem to suggest that Ukraine, unlike us, has inexhaustible resources.
They will drive them to a stupor and, destroying these tanks full of this fuel, already in the NWO zone, we simply cut off the heads of the Lernean Hydra. It is necessary to cut off communication with the West. This is now almost more important than the destruction of ammunition depots.”

The first video covers the prospects for “Chernobyl 2.0”—a topic no one is talking about yet, but that everyone will be talking about, sooner or later.
The second (longer) video describes how and why Russia’s initial war plan FAILED (although the Ukraine’s military was severely degraded)…..
…..and, how it has been adjusted…

Thank you for the discussion. I am mighty skeptical but if such weapons exist, how much input energy is needed to say project energy 100kms and get an incendiary result? How much to get the same result at 200kms?
Assuming these gizmos need high order input energy, they will be satellite visible installations and the beam can be easily traced to source and then some local power station or giant generator be located and snuffed.
Much more tangible information as to the physics and components is needed before we leap to any conclusion. Uploading a vid and then having a Pentagon liar make a statement and then erase the vid does not equal evidence of any thing more than a hoax.
Those vids and the lines looked awful like satellite vector scans having data smoothing issues where the boundary zones are stitched.
I need to be convinced on this gadget.

Arestovych popped up in a video by сФилином the other day. He mainly highlights Arestovych’s awareness back in 2019 that a war with Russia would be needed to get access to NATO and that this would have to be kept secret from the Ukranian people in order to prevent mass refugee migration that might hamper Ukrainian military movement.
While often referred to as an adviser to Zelensky Arestovych was a Major (reserve) in intelligence, also an actor but his key role is as a propagandist, something he has publicly admitted:
“Dear friends! I have lied to you a lot since the spring of 2014…There were two main lines: – the creation of a patriotic lubok, in which we “strongly unite, make a heroic move”, and bright prospects await Ukraine, – black propaganda against the Russian Federation…- propaganda is part of the war, it is possible and even (unfortunately) necessary, but only on an anonymous basis, i.e. when you don’t subscribe to it with your name.”
In the same post he also made it clear that he is not a ‘Ukrainian Patriot’ but a diehard Globalist:
“Now, about my true position…I am not a patriot. Moreover, not only Ukraine, but any nation-state as such. I am a patriot of the “5th project”, the project of the united Earth.”
Some people give him a lot of status for ‘predicting the war’ but the reality is far more that he is capable of projecting that sense of being an expert in all areas by talking authoritatively, making a huge number of predictions, and then conveniently forgetting all the times they were wrong.
He also predicted the collapse of Russia in 2014, that Ukraine will gain control over Luhansk and Donetsk by November 2014, and that the Crimean land bridge would never be built.
Ruslan Bortnik (one of Ukraine’s top political scientists): “Almost all serious Ukrainian political scientists predicted (the war). Arestovich is great at PR, but he is not a forecaster or an insider, not a political or military expert. He is a screenwriter, coach, popularizer.”
Arestovych in an interview with the BBC: “the next day after the start of the campaign, they ask us for negotiations. I know military history quite well and cannot remember a case when an aggressor with superior forces asks for negotiations the next day. This means that on the very first day everything went wrong”.
This is a man who is not as smart or knowledgable as his image suggests but he is very skilled at maintaining that facade. He is also a globalist and somewhat outside the Kolomoisky sphere of influence that surrounds Zelensky, the hardline nationalists, and Azov & other militias. He’s also been vociferous in his praise for Nuland in the past and is likely to play a key role in any post-Zelensky NATO-backed Ukraine. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Blues’ post is one of the most thought-provoking pieces that I have read since a long time. His thesis is that the Ukrainian war was forced upon Russia by the West to acquire full control over the minds of its own citizens. In the midst of the “Hate Russia, hate Putin” mass hysteria, people will be easy to control as they will blame all their woes on Russia. READ Blues’ post, it is a MUST READ

Agreed, well said. Thank you for making me read that post again. The main message slipped the first time I skimmed it.
In this light the “covid” scam where the national health services became a weapon against the citizens, the big picture makes a lot of sense. The covid scare was constructed primarily to condition people to fear and obedience and followed up with the fear and hate Russia campaign. Notice how the second seamlessly replaced the first.
The common denominator is controlling the people in the west to the degree they accept the descent into chaos.

Craig Murray has a new post up. I don’t agree with his stance on Ukraine overall, but at least he points out the hypocrisy of the Guardian in pretending Putin is doing something unique that the US and UK haven’t done and are doing in spades.

The only people claiming such high casualties among more senior Russian officers are the Ukrainians and Washington then repeat the claims and they appear in the media as validated claims. They are no such thing. Wait until the Russian MoD makes announcements.
BTW, this is a favourite propaganda ploy of KCIA, high-ranking official is supposedly executed in a novel but brutal manner only to reappear a few days later, unharmed.

#—Once more antisemitic and anticommunist crap and forgeries. There is no indication that Schiff ever directly funded Trotsky, though the latter may have got some support as Jewish emigree in NYC by funds sponsored by rich Jews. Schiff sponsored Kerensky, not the bolsheviks, and opposed the October Revolution from its beginnings. Max Warburg also denied any sponsoring of bolsheviks, and it is unlikely given his funding to anticommunist groups.
This nazi crap is tiring.

“The visit to Ukraine by Anthony Blinken and Lloyd Austin was all that you might expect.
A visible show of support. An announcement that US diplomats will return to Ukraine shortly. The promise of more military support.
But what stood out was this comment from Austin: “We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine. It has already lost a lot of military capability… we want to see them not have the capability to very quickly reproduce that capability.”
That is a surprising thing for a US defence secretary to say.
He might, of course, have been referring to Western sanctions degrading Russia’s military industrial base.
Or was he instead expanding Western war aims? Was he even implying that a longer war in Ukraine might be a useful thing?
Not all Western allies might share Mr Austin’s position, or his candour.”
BBC comment on Lloyd Austin being perhaps a bit too honest.

Maybe Nato won’t get its consolation prize of Sweden and Finland after all.
Turkey will not support the admission of two potential new members of the Alliance to NATO. As it became known, the current position of Turkey is such that Finland and Sweden have no place in the military bloc and, probably, during the next NATO summit, Turkey may categorically oppose the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The task of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine was to record ceasefire violations of the Minsk II agreement.
The OSCE Council evacuated foreign nationals assigned to to the SMM in Ukraine a/o March 2.
AFAIK, the disposition of OSCE equipment used for “Technical Monitoring on the Contact Line: making it work” is not public knowledge. One may then suppose, it’s been in custody of the Ukraine government and at the disposal of government operators since then.

Actually, there’s no need for Finland to join NATO. There’s a better, less expensive way for Finland to achieve the security it desires. Finland could try to negotiate a nonaggression treaty with Russia. Then, in the unlikely event Russia refused, that would be the time to seek admission to NATO.

I don’t see why this outcome would require any coordination. From both the imperial and the Russian perspectives one is looking at the destruction of Europe, at the very least economically and spiritually. On the part of the empire this certainly is premeditated and deliberate. It may not have been intended by the Russians, but they’ll have to go through with it if they’re really determined to attain their proclaimed war goals.
As for Europe in itself, I now view it as a whole the way I concluded about the Borderlands back in 2014: It has no agency, is purely passive and will simply let itself be used as the doormat of the empire’s totalitarianism and wars.

“It’s more palatable to envision a malicious secret plan and a puppet-master behind the scenes, and structure one’s world view around that, because at least that makes rational sense. Except, there’s no guarantee that the malicious plan and puppet master, if these exist, aren’t stupid and detached from reality to the same degree.”
Very well explained. Maybe one could add greed into the mix, inc lust for power, status, wealth, meaning, success and so forth.
And also maybe the compulsion to feel part of an upper class elite that derives its sense of entitlement from deliberately dumbing down and fooling those beneath, and thus excluded from, them. Their superiority depends upon making others inferior.
And perhaps this sort of thing blends psychological tendencies with overt scheming in much the same way as you so skillfully blended malice with stupidity.
I’ve often felt that much projected onto the ‘you know who’s’ is as much a mentality as an outright organization, though clearly there is a lot of the latter in the mix and clearly over time family and tribal ties become woven in.

Blinken and Austin have talked to the press about their recent Zelinsky massage in Kyiv.
Blinken: “We had an opportunity as well to talk about where this goes from here, with the success that Ukraine has had. It’s also true that Russia continues to try to brutalize parts of the country, and the death and destruction that we continue to see is horrific. But Ukrainians are standing up, they’re standing strong, and they’re doing that with the support that we have coordinated from literally around the world.”

“Part of our commitment going forward involves a number of things that I was able to share with President Zelenskyy yesterday, including the return of American diplomats to Ukraine starting [this] week, including President Biden’s intent to nominate a new ambassador to Ukraine, Ambassador Bridget Brink – currently an ambassador, someone I’ve served with for a long time, deeply experienced in the region, who’ll be a very strong representative for the United States in Ukraine.”
…from Newsweek:

Currently the U.S. ambassador to Slovakia, Brink formerly served on the National Security Council and at U.S. outposts in Serbia, Uzbekistan, Georgia and elsewhere. With more than two decades in the foreign service, Brink has focused largely on Europe and Eurasia.
Originally from Michigan, Brink was appointed to her current role by Trump, and most recently served as deputy assistant secretary of state in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the Department of State. She was also deputy chief of mission at the U.S. embassies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 2014 to 2015, and in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 2011 to 2014.
While serving as deputy assistant secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the Department of State in 2015, Ukraine was among Brink’s areas of responsibility.

fog of war, rumors, and just plain bullshit: one story, two versions, same day
Three Nato warships have arrived in the southwestern Finnish port of Turku to train with Finland’s navy, Reuters reports.

The Latvian minelayer LVNS Virsaitis and minehunters Estonian ENS Sakala and Dutch HNLMS Schiedam will train with two minehunters from Finland’s coastal fleet, Finland’s defence forces said in a statement today.
The two-day exercise will prepare the Finnish ships to take part in Nato response forces and focus on “mine countermeasures and working in a multinational framework”, the statement said.

Finnish navy to train with Nato vessels in Archipelago Sea

The joint exercise will be led by Finland’s Coastal Fleet. SNMCMG1 will also visit the port city of Turku from Monday until Wednesday. The Coastal Fleet’s Chief of Staff, Commander Mikko Villikari, said this is a routine exercise which has been planned one year in advance.
“The main goal of the exercise is to search for and identify underwater objects,” Villikari said, adding that international exercises are important for the Finnish navy.
“In these exercises, we learn to work as part of a group that we do not constantly interacted with. It helps to maintain international expertise,” Villikari noted.

Russia is developing non-traditional weapons.
During a recent meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Borisov unexpectedly announced the development of unique types of weapons by Russian specialists and designers. According to Borisov, we are talking about non-traditional types of weapons, which will clearly provide Russia with technical and military superiority over potential adversaries.
At the moment, it is known that we are talking about weapons based on new physical principles. In particular, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov spoke about the development of directed energy weapons, kinetic weapons, as well as robotic systems and complexes.
“The new weapons program will be aimed at creating qualitatively new, including non-traditional, types of weapons, including directed energy weapons, kinetic weapons, as well as artificial intelligence control systems and robotic systems”- said Borisov.
At the moment, work on the creation of such weapons is actively underway. At the same time, it is noteworthy that by 2023 a new state armament program will be formed. This means that by the middle of the decade, these weapons may well begin to enter the Russian troops.

“One thing is certain. If the Russian Ministry of Defense finds out that NATO did it, they will let loose all the dogs from Hell on NATO, as in “asymmetrical, lethal and fast”.”
I think the simplest explanation here is probably correct: Russia has known all along it was a NATO-assisted attack. NATO has been provided surveillance for missile strikes etc. all the time. However, Russia doesn’t want to announce this because Russian people will call for retaliatory escalation which is not (at least now yet) desired. So they are ‘investigating’ and also they will take a hit propaganda-wise if they don’t retaliate because it will make them look weak etc.

“From both the imperial and the Russian perspectives one is looking at the destruction of Europe, at the very least economically and spiritually.”
Putin may be playing to the crowd in a skillful way of course, but many of his general pronouncement about multipolarity and the unfortunate decadence in the West have led me to believe that Russia would be very happy if the bankster cartels were disassembled and some form of conservative culture re-established in the West with respect for family, church, rule of law and so forth – similar to ‘denazification’ in the more extreme Ukrainian context. If a saner Europe were to emerge, then I suspect Putin’s Russia would be happy to join with them in many ways thus bringing European culture and values into the Eurasian civilization they are currently building which would further enhance Russia’s role therein. Indeed, she would have a shot at become the central ‘high culture’ zone for the entire civilization, something which any Russian statesman like Putin I suspect would deeply desire.
It would also help decrease the dystopian aspects of the emerging digital infrastructures which are as inevitable and potentially benign as they might also prove pernicious. Indeed, the techno-fascist aspects of the Reset business strike me as a possible expansion of the old credit cartels in which case such global-level centralization of core financial processing will prove truly terrible.
Let’s face it: many unanswered issues. Personally, I tend to trust Putin’s pronouncements but also I don’t trust this trust. In any case, I suspect that soon we are going to have another pandemic wave, then contretemps with China, then a world wide depression and only THEN will we see how things will progress and who is offering terms to whom, i.e. the real ‘us’ and ‘them’ will finally become clear. Right now that is not yet the case.

A series of massive fires resulting from presumed attacks on Bryansk, which is over 100kms inside Russia, seems like quite the escalation.
https://www.rt.com/russia/554454-oil-depot-on-fire/
Interestingly, i checked all major Western outlets, from BBC to CNN, to La Stampa, NYT to Le Figaro and many many more.
Not one website features the story on the front page, despite the clickbait visuals of red plumes in the night sky, and the likely Schadenfreude its readers would enjoy. Instead we have the obvious Macron reelection, Blinken visit to Kiev, and various minor railways bombings in Ukraine.
By not reporting this event, are Nato countries trying to underplay their role in these attacks? Are they deliberately keeping readers ignorant, so that when reporting Russia’s eventual response, (assuming they start making Western countries actually pay a price, instead of just Ukraine?) Western MSM can continue with the ‘Russian aggression’ narrative?
Am i the only one wondering why the Kremlin talks of ‘unfriendly countries’ and ‘unpredictable consequences’, which clearly gets ignored over and over, and instead does not spell it out more clearly, that Western Gov’ts attacking Russia and killing Russians, be it with weapons sales, intel sharing or by proxy, will result in Russia hitting Western targets and making Westerners suffer too? Do we all need to wait for a nuclear bomb to get this message across, really? Please tell me they have a better deterrence strategy in mind.
How else does the Russian Gov’t expect to deter Western leaders and the public that supports their war on Russia, when there are no (military) consequences for them, and the only ones living in fear of dying are Russians and Ukrainians? To be clear, i am not calling for violence against the West, i live here too, i just don’t see how this is going to be resolved before the 10/10 response, and it would be nice if Russia’s messaging was as effective as its hypersonic missiles. Words are much cheaper and less deadly, too.

@189
Yes, seems a serious escalation. Been thinking along the same lines.
What comes next?
What is the procedure for extinguishing a massive petroleum fire?
Perhaps containment of surrounds and let it burn out. IDK.

If this has been posted already … my apologies.
Alistair Crooke SCF
“It doesn’t make sense that Russia and Ukraine aren’t sitting down and working out some kind of an agreement. If they don’t do it soon, there will be nothing left but death, destruction, and carnage. This is a war that never should have happened, but it did. The solution can never be as good as it would have been before the shooting started, but there is a solution, and it should be figured out now—not later—when everyone will be DEAD!”, Trump said.
Trump effectively is wedging apart the possible key fault-line for the coming elections (even if some GOP panjandrums – many of whom are funded by the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) – favour a more robust military involvement).
Trump too, always has an instinct for an opponent’s jugular: Biden may be highly attracted to the argument for escalation, but he is known to be sensitive to the thought of body-bags coming home to the U.S. before November becoming his legacy. Hence Trump’s exaggeration that sooner rather than later, everyone in Ukraine “will be DEAD!”.

Re Finland joining Nato.
Luckily, Nato needs all members to agree to it. Can we count on Orban’s Hungary to vote no, or who is Russia working on to stop the madness?
I don’t feel particularly encouraged by the Kremlin’s messaging so far. Medvedev basically said ‘no big deal’, while his country is literally at war with Ukraine because they were de facto already in Nato. Talk about mixed and ineffective messaging, what are they thinking?? How about instead:
‘The quickest way for Finland to be turned into Ukraine is for it to join Nato and allow its weapon systems on Russia’s border. Finland’s stability and peaceful prosperity since WW2 has been guaranteed by its neutral status. We strongly urge Finland to reconsider what price its citizens will pay by its joining of Nato’ as a more effective way to discourage them??

Europe is entering its final, terminal Dark Age and I say good riddance. In every way – biological, cultural, spiritual, and simply in terms of being stupid enough to abjectly obey a master which is a homicidal maniac – Europe has reached its final decadence, whether or not it’s to be full-scale nuclear war..
As an American Christian my only concern is whether America can be redeemed and build the church in anticipation of Christ’s coming, nuclear war or not. Probably no such church will be built by our hands; this place too will have to collapse to its full Sodom and Gomorrah decadence and await Christ’s purification.
