The MoA Week In Review – OT 2022-001

Last week's posts at Moon of Alabama:

Other issues:

Covid-19 – Good news:

As expected vaccinated people have a good T-cell response when infected with Omicron. This was my argument against boosters in otherwise healthy people when I wrote:  Why You Should Get Vaccinated But Don't Need A Third Shot

In Omicron Update I mentioned signs that Omicron is probably less severe because it does not infect the lungs. New research confirms that thesis.

Covid-19 – Bad news:

John Nkengasong @JNkengasong – 1:34 UTC · Jan 1, 2022
Two years,<100 cases of the virus that causes the Covid-19 were reported globally. Today, 280M people have been infected with 5.4M deaths. Major lessons: we are more #connected, more #vulnerable, and more #inequalities than we thought! Let’s act more collectively in 2022!

Syria:

Economy:

On the cause and the best response:

When demand is sufficiently indebted, the economy gets stuck in a debt-driven liquidity trap, or debt trap. Escaping a debt trap requires consideration of less conventional macroeconomic policies, such as those focused on redistribution or those reducing the structural sources of high inequality.

Last but not least:

@313 james – ” i think there are too many angles working for this pandemic to be a planned exercise by some special inside group”
We don’t have to disagree on this. Please note that I hold that thought in in my mind equally with all the other thoughts about what this may be. I’m only describing a theory of what might be possible, and I’m trying to do that comprehensively, but that’s all.
I’m interested in discussing all the possibilities, until the actuality is nailed. This requires talking about it.
~~
You chose to be dissociated from that constant discussion (it’s not constant because we want that constancy, but because the matter itself remains a live explosive on a daily basis).
This was a good call on your part – I envy it more than I can say, and I admire the potential for this to be the most healthy position to take, in the end.
~~
It was when you said that things couldn’t be known because it was too early to tell, and when you said the rest of us were talking about it too much, and when you called it a topic that we were talking about – in all these times, the limitation of your position became clear.
You thought it was a “topic” because you had chosen to distance from it. So you didn’t know the intricacies that were being discussed.
My friend, all you had to do was check in occasionally and catch up on what was being discussed, and leave us to continue to chew on this bone. That would have been an act I would have honored in the utmost.
But when you spoke from what you didn’t know about what was being discussed, you were inaccurate. You mis-characterized the discussion. You lobbied for it to end, or to be sequestered in its exclusive thread.
None of this contributed to the discussion. It contributed negatives to a positive that was in the process of being built through consensus.
~~
You know why we have friends? So they can point out our missteps.
Feel free to point out mine. I will free to continue to think of you as a friend, and colleague.

From your quote:

Western democracy faces two deep problems. First, it is in trouble at home and losing support. Second, China has been out-performing the West in governance terms for several decades.

If the Western sphere is a democracy and is losing support, the quote seems to say that the peoples of the west don’t want democracy anymore. That is the opposite of the truth.
The reality is that democracy in the west is under a frontal attack by totally unaccountable and therefore undemocratic shadowy forces who want to implement a fascist dictatorship.

297 #Norwegian,
thank you for relaying that terrible twitterpage.My guess is that those uniforms are not on real police officers bodies,but on hired thugs,or even nato-jihadists who are comeing to the Netherlands at a rate of one thousand a week.(Because initially the police Mobile Units had announced that they would not be there to survey the people’s march.)
Did you scroll down to see the french tweet,where you can see a dummy being used in a news item about saturating the hospitals with covidpatients?Does anyone care to look or find out?
For the few here who want to know the truth I repeat your link.

Ben, it’s worse than that. As I understand it, the « vaccines » give the body instructions to build spike proteins, which are toxic, for the immune system to learn what to attack. It’s a flawed approach, as it starts with CREATING a toxin. And it’s also problematic, as it turns the « vaxxed » person’s immune system into a spike protein R&D incubator, FEEDING the pandemic.

Note the difference in uniforms. The thugs have either all black (no yellow) when attacking veterans. (in the centre of the police group).
or they have small shoulder pads of yellow, not the overalls that regular police have
Conclusion; They are a special militia hiding as “police”.
Note that in May 1968, the CRS (French anti-riot police) were also in two groups. Young and old. The worst were the young as they had wooden sticks to break bones and were generally in larger groups. (20-40).
Yeah, I was there, arrived in Paris on second day of rioting (sent as an educational gift to study in Paris for a month, which ended up as two months under blockade!), but was so naive at the time that I didn’t know there were riots until I saw them with my own eyes. Got beaten up by 10-12 older CRS, afternoon of same day. First blow was across the face between the eyes, broke glasses in two, etc. (The guy shown who was beaten up by the four militia also had glasses, you can see them on the ground.- must be occupational)
PS, Of the three students with me (one; Finnish) got caught by the younger ones, two days in hospital.

Norwegian, IMO Western democracy is not under attack, for the simple reason that there is no such thing. Voting for business cronies who make policy for their cronies, is not democracy. In that context, voting does not make a democracy. What we have is more or less friendly fascisms (corporatocracy).

The grifting of endless sums of liquidity at 0% to the three major banks goes some way to explain that those same banks have the Derivatives “market” (trillions) under control. It also goes some way to add an explanation about the hyperinflation. As MMT money in vast quantities have an effect on the quantity and ensuing devaluation of the money in circulation and that others may have in their pockets, even if most of it doesn’t actually reach the hoi poloi.
*
Which comes back to Grieved’s comments about;
How then (runs the speculative scenario), would the masters stop the potential tsunami of hyper inflation flowing from this massive liquidity injection?

Like Julie @ 323, I also want to link to an article featuring Raoult. The fist time I remember the Saker posting anything specific to Covid, it was a translation of an interview of him and his treatment for COVID, which is using a protocol for sepsis, as far as I can tell. So I congratulate both him and the Saker for genuinely dealing with the danger from the coronavirus.
https://thesaker.is/interview-with-professor-didier-raoult-in-the-parisien-newspaper-22-march-2020/
I am disturbed to see powerful members of the natural health community who advocate for freedom from tyranny etc. etc. etc. not use the term sepsis. Perhaps even they have a political agenda in this mess? If one considers vitamin D deficiency, magnesium deficiency and poor metabolic health as precursors to increased likelihood of sepsis, then what solutions are they offering to the vast majority of Americans who fall into these categories? No vaccines – but how to prevent the onset of sepsis from a virus that’s specifically prone to cause it? I’m not impressed.

I agree with your take on sepsis, a friend on mine died “of it” a month ago, 2 months after his 2nd AZ jab. He had just been tired for a week and was sent to the IC.

Posted by: Julie | Jan 5 2022 13:36 utc | 313

Julie, I am sorry for the loss of your friend. Why the quotes around “of it”? Of what? Are you saying your friend died from sepsis? Do you know what underlying infection was the cause of it?

Posted by: Bruised Northerner | Jan 5 2022 13:56 utc | 314

I think he died of covid and az is useless (with beta already but also with delta as shown from the uk stats all through the summer)
Correct article is this one

newbies come to MOA because of links from other sites (myself included). I was a lurker for many years before I made a comment.
This congregation of people from around the world sharing ideas, news and perspectives has been an invaluable source of horizon broadening and education.
I deplore censorship but I do understand the clutter of threads hijacked by uninformed trolls and tools ruining an otherwise unique and amazing commentary. See UNZ Review. Who wants to plough through 700 comments of joos and niggers to find a few nuggets of new info.
Moon of Alabama will continue to attract newbies who find opinions here contrary to their indoctrination. They think they come armed with the truth and the links to prove it then spam and educate ‘us tools for China’
Their cups are full but they showed up.
When I was teaching one of my favourite expressions was STOP TALKING… listen
censorship lol

@ Grieved | Jan 5 2022 4:50 utc | 314… thanks for your commentary..
the parallels with trump and covid are too good to pass up.. both seemed to create a very polarizing dynamic where positions were drawn and hardened and the idea of anyone learning anything new from anyone else were quickly forgotten… my recommendation – its b’s website so he can do what he likes – was to create a separate thread or threads, focused solely on covid.. clearly many want to talk about it and continue to talk about it. but my recommendation wasn’t taken up!
there are some folks who actually talk and communicate with others here at moa and there are others who do what i like to call ‘drive by commenting’… i am thinking of ted01 poster at the moment, who rags on b over his coverage of covid, but never says anything else.. i suppose these folks can be easily ignored.. then there are the folks who feel the need to challenge b over his covid views.. then there are some posters who are happy to share what they have on covid and leave it at that… i suppose you mostly fall in this last category grieved.. it is not that i want to shut any thoughtful and considerate conversation down, but the negative potshots and etc all surfacing in connection with covid are very tiresome… that my suggestion of having a designated thread or threads to focus on covid wasn’t taken up by b, is not the end of the world… neither does it mean i don’t stay abreast of what is happening! to suggest you are more knowledgeable on the topic of covid- are you suggesting that? seems foolish.. its complicated.. i am not a scientist or biologist like malone or weinstein, or a dr. like peter mccullough, but it doesn’t mean i can’t arrive at a general viewpoint like anyone else… if i don’t make covid my sole obsession and focus doesn’t mean my suggestions or thoughts on this or anything else needs to be negated or dismissed…. well.. maybe you are not suggesting that, in which case you can ignore a chunk of this… some of your characterizations in your post here are not helpful or accurate as i read them.. that much i can tell you! cheers james

Grieved
Thanks very much for the links.
It is easy to see that many people would rather be osterich than face the coming storm. My friends and family do not want to know and have stopped listening to me…. but they do know, and are afraid.
These creatures have already murdered more than Nazi Germany in a shorter time. I used to wonder how they convinced the German people to conspire by ignorance. Now I know. Fear.
They have a plan, The plan does not include going back to normal They learned a lot from their first pandemic.
poem by Edward Albert Guest
See It Through
When you’re up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it’s vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!
Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don’t let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!
Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you’re beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don’t give up, whate’er you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

@ ld | Jan 5 2022 17:51 utc | 335 with the words about censorship and trolls
I am not a fan of censorship but am a fan of managed discussions and when a troll comes in and dominates conversation in a thread with a fire hose, then they should be curtailed or removed for their intention to disrupt…..acting like a troll in online communication.
I call folks trolls when their comments meet my definition and they may improve their contributions to where they no longer trigger my reaction.
Thanks for your poetry. I hope to get the motivation back to writing such some day ….sigh

From what I see of your writing you should do yourself a favour and persevere.

I thoroughly appreciate a well-written comment/essay and it is the main attraction for me at MOA.

So much sh*t flows/flowing/has flown/will flow
under the bridge
it becomes a blurrr after awhile.
Was searching for my bookmark to a Reuters article from last January
regarding the head of the Proud Boys who (amazing that Reuters revealed this Why? It was coming out anyways so they acted preemptively ?)
was an **FBI informant**. If the leader of the Proud Boys knew about a planned Jan 6th demonstration at the Capitol Building
then so did the FBI.
…still looking for my bookmark…
Meanwhile, while looking for the above bookmark I came across something else which had been lost in the blurrr…

After more than four years of repeated denials from the FBI that they had searched their files and had no information on Seth Rich, we now know that was a blatant lie. It was David Hardy, a FBI Senior official, who put that denial in writing in September 2017. Hardy was the Section Chief of the Record/Information Dissemination Section (“RIDS”), Information Management Division (“IMD”),1 Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), in Winchester, Virginia. He stated under oath that the FBI had no records on Seth Rich…

In his 2018 declaration, Mr. Hardy also testified under oath that the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. was solely responsible for investigating Mr. Rich’s murder.
Now we learn that not only does the FBI have more than 20,000 pages relevant to the search term, “Seth Rich,” the FBI still has Seth Rich’s laptop computer.
